There is more treasure in books than in all the pirate's loot on Treasure Island.
-Walt Disney

Have you ever wondered what happens to fictional characters when they die or when their story ends? Some would say that nothing happens since they are not real, but these are people with no imagination. Imagination is the key to living. What truthfully happens is that the heroes, good guys, go to a peaceful place so that they no longer must suffer. They arrive in a small village once their story is done, meeting all sorts of other characters from other books. The villains... well, they aren't so lucky. But we focus on the heroes... and there's some problems. They aren't always happy and not always reunited with their loved ones. Sometimes characters grow distant, depressed, and even hostile.... But that isn't the real problem.

Villains are supposed to suffer, living in horrid conditions in their own village. Sadly, there's been a glitch in the system. Some villains are getting through to the heroes' village and are terrorizing the protagonists. The protagonists will have to band together, a league of fictional characters, so that they can survive.

(Sorry for the short plot intro, but what more can I say? You're one of your favorite fictional characters, preferably from books, and are trapped in a world where you've believes you are free... until villains begin invading. Or, of course, you're a villain.)

On Posting and OOC Fellowship:

No cussing or sex... romance is great, in fact, I encourage it! But, I am not going to let my roleplay promote profanity or cyber sex. This is my biggest rule and if you don't follow it, you'll be getting some PMs from me.

No drama in the OOC. Drama in the roleplay is good, but be kind to each other out of character, whether your characters get along or not.

Minimum 350 words per post.... I'd like a lot more than that, though. If you don't seem literate by your CS, you will not be accepted.

Be literate! No text talk or one liners. Be a good writer. I get we make mistakes, but read over your work and make sure it sounds good before posting.

Don't control another person's character.

Tell me if your going to be gone. Its fine as long as your holding up the plot. And, by joining, you allow me to ghost play your character, which I will only do if your not posting and you are needed for the plot to continue.

Feel free to PM me! I don't bite... usually... ;D If you think of a plot idea, let me know! I am very open to your opinions!

On Character Creating:

No Mary Sues or Gary Stews. If you make your character appear that way, make sure to have some hidden faults at least.

DO make your characters accurate. If your character isn't an acrobat, don't say that they are. You're playing someone already made; do your best to do justice to the character.

Use pictures! Making your CS colorful will make your character accepted for sure. I don't care if your pictures are real or anime. I like drawings because sometimes if your character is in a movie adaption and you don't like the actor/actress playing them is a great place to search for fan drawings of the character. But if you see someone who'd be perfect for the role, use them!

By creating Collectibles, you can reward your players with unique items that accentuate their character sheets.

Once an Item has been created, it can be spawned in the IC using /spawn Item Name (case-sensitive, as usual) — this can be followed with /take Item Name to retrieve the item into the current character's inventory.

Re: Home for the Fictional

Hi there, comicbooklover!

"Home for the Fictional" sounds very interesting, and I'd love to join if possible! Could I perhaps reserve Hermione Granger from the Harry Potter series? She's one of my favorite characters in the world of fiction, and I hope she can find a good home with this role-play. :)

Thank you very much! I'll submit my character sheet shortly, once I've received an 'okay' from you.

Re: Home for the Fictional

@Magic Man

If the character had powers in the story, they'd definitely have them in the fictional village. :)

Re: Home for the Fictional

Would characters keep any sort of power that they had from their book or is it dependent of how their powers worked?

Re: Home for the Fictional

Of course! I'm totally fine with doubling characters. :)

Re: Home for the Fictional

Very creative story!! I would love to join, though right now I'm stuck between a couple characters. Would it be okay to make two?

Re: Home for the Fictional

This looks interesting. I think I'll submit a character, but I love so many books! Hmm, Skulduggery Pleasant or Light (Death Note)...Oh! In fact, I'll choose L from Death Note.

Re: Home for the Fictional

Alright, sounds good. You may or may not find a character from me...I'm not sure how busy my schedule is going to be for the next few days...

Re: Home for the Fictional

I'm glad you like the roleplay! I actually haven't read Forgive My Fins, but I'm guessing Lily is a mermaid by the title(and if I'm wrong, I guess I'll find out when you submit the character). I'm totally fine with non-human characters. :)

@Scarlet Loup

I just figured mainly the characters would be from books, although I guess film or TV show characters are alright too, but I have no genre preferences. Any genre works!

Re: Home for the Fictional

This is certainly an interesting idea! Do you have any requirements on the characters? Do you have a type of genre you'd like them to come from?

Re: Home for the Fictional

Hey there! This looks really cool. I'm gonna create a character :)

I'm probably gonna submit Lily Sanderson from Forgive My Fins. If you would prefer a human persay, then lemme know and I'll abandom Lily and create a different character from a different book
