Name: Scarlett Peretz - Nicknamed Scar.
Occupation:She finished school a year ago and is wanting to study to become an elementary teacher, but has had to go back to the hospital because of her illness, Haemophilia B.
Age: 19
Personality:
Scarlett is loving, clingy and stubborn. There are no mean bones in her body and enjoys to make others around her feel better. She occasionally feels upset when around her friends in the hospital, knowing that she will most likely live longer than them all but despite that, Scarlett is always excited to spend time with them.
She has a habit of becoming clingy with those around her, which is why she has struggled throughout her life when having to say goodbye to the deceased that Scarlett knew in the hospital.
She has become so attached to her hospital friends that are still in the hospital, that she is afraid how her reaction will be once one of them passes.
Although Scarlett is loving and respects everyoneâs decisions, she is quite the stubborn young girl. Scarlett believes that she is always right and is so stubborn that she will never let another person make her feel like sheâs in the wrong.

Background:
Scarlett Peretz had been diagnosed with Haemophilia when she was six. The illness is usually found out when younger but her parents were never around enough to realise it. Scarlettâs nanny took her to the park so she was able to play with the other children, but it went wrong after she had fallen over on the pavement and badly grazed her leg. The bleeding was never-ending so her nanny rushed her to the hospital, unsure of what was wrong.
Scarlettâs parents were only ever around to pay for the hospital bills or give their daughter a quick hug before leaving. Due to her lack of affection from her parents, Scarlett had become clingy to anyone who gave her time.
Even now she never sees her parents, but she loves them nonetheless.
Whilst Scarlett was at school, she always had to be cautious of everything she was doing. Her love for sports was affected due to her illness and she was only able to swim, however when she is alone and knows that no one is watching over her, she dances. Scarlett feels that itâs her way of letting it all out; the fact that her parents are or never were around to spend time with their only child.
Unfortunately when she had just finished her years in school and was ready to attend to college, Scarlett had quite severe internal bleeding due to her Haemophilia. In the hospital she has to receive blood infusions and at times needâs to see a physiotherapist because of her struggles when trying to move joints in her body.
Being in hospital is more of a prison cell for most kids Scarlettâs age, but to her she has seen it as her home. Sure, she hasnât spent all her time there or as much as her other friends but it is the only place she feels welcome.
When she is around her friends at the hospital, she is more than happy.
Scarlett had been picked on during her school years because of the bruises found on her body. Her bruises were scattered on her body due to her Haemophilia.
Because of her moderate illness, there were days where she wasn't able to go to school because her bones and joints were a struggle to move for her. There were many days spent in and out the hospital, receiving blood infusions and certain surgeries so she could live her life to the fullest.
Even though Scarlettâs illness has stopped her from going to college and achieving her dreams, she thinks of it as âher life is on holdâ. Soon enough she knows that her life will become better, but until then she enjoys her time at the hospital being around the only people who ever cared about her.
