Skylar is a more standoffish kind of person. She doesnt' like speaking to people that she doesn't like and if she's forced to...she's usually got nothing nice to say to them. She has what her father calls 'attitude'. She's always got something to say and doesn't care to share. She's always acting, putting on a show for everyone around her. Andy is probably one of the only people that knows how she truly is. Deep down, beneath her facade, Skylar can be a really caring and sweet person.

|{History}|

Skylar was born into a small family that own and ran its own horse farm. Her parents adored her and gave her anything that she ever wanted. The family was quite well known all around for their prize winning horses that always seemed to come out of the farm. From the time that Skylar was old enough to ride, she did. In the years that followed, everything was wonderful. She was a competing equestrian and she loved it. Nothing compared to the feeling of riding and winning the competitions. She was always helping out around the farm. Life couldn't have been any better.

Her mother was diagnosed with cancer when Skylar was ten. Her mother quickly lost the battle, leaving her and her father alone. Skylar continued riding though her heart was no longer in it. Her best friend quickly noticed a change in her. When Sky's father remarried, she not only gained a 'mother' but a 'sister'. Sky hates Gypsy. The girl is everything that she isn't. They never get along no matter what their parents have tried.

I stand here waiting for you to bang the gong
To crash the critic saying, "Is it right or is it wrong?"
If only fame had an I.V., baby could I bear
Being away from you, I found the vein, put it in here

I live for the applause, applause, applause
I live for the applause-plause
Live for the applause-plause
Live for the way that you cheer and scream for me
The applause, applause, applause

Give me that thing that I love (I'll turn the lights out)
Put your hands up, make 'em touch, touch (make it real loud)
Give me that thing that I love (I'll turn the lights out)

They senior camping trip was three days long in the middle of nowhere in the deepest part of the forest. They’d taken two busses. For some reason their high school thought that taking a bunch of seventeen and eighteen year old teenagers to the mountains for three day instead of Disneyland, was a good fucking idea. Gypsy had only gone, because of her social standings. Her mother had opted to pay for her and Travis and even her wicked step sister and her gay friend to go to Disneyland or rent a cabin.

Gypsy however had shot the idea down, there was no way in hell she was going to stay in the same room as her sister. Going to high school and living with her was bad enough. Her exact words to her mother were “Everyone who’s anyone is going to be there mom, I may not like camping, but trust me, the senior class will fall apart without me.” her mother had eventually stopped arguing with her because it was no use.

The camping trip had honestly been a lot of fun. More so then Sia had thought, mostly because they’d been able to sneak a shit ton of booze on the bus only after Gypsy paid off the bus driver and the teacher and chaperones were terrible and could care less about watching what all the students were doing at one time. She was honestly kind of sad that it was their last night. Because graduation was in a week and everyone would be moving on with their lives.

The sun had set an hour ago and there were several camp fires going, just like at school, everyone had their clicks. Of course, ‘The Plastics’ had the best campfire and the most people at their campfire and everyone wanted to be invited over. Gypsy sat on Travis lap as his lips moved along her bare shoulder. She was still wearing her bikini top and jean shorts that were far too short to be in dress code, but no one seemed to mind. Her eyes flicked directly across the dancing flames of the campfire and landed on her ex, Jackson. She was still hopelessly in love with him, despite the fact that everyone including Jackson was convinced she was over him.

“Sia? Sia? Gypsy Jeana?” a voice pulled her from her thoughts. Baylee, her best friend and second in command was waving her hand in her face trying to get her attention.

“What?” Gypsy huffed as she turned her attention away from Jackson and Cami who was practically sitting on top of him to her friend. “Crazy bitch.” Sia smirked and Travis simply laughed as his lips continued moving between her shoulder blades slowly.

“Loser alert. It’s you bitchy sister’s gay friend and his fabulous boyfriend headed straight for us.” Baylee said cruelly with a wicked smirk on her perfectly glossed lips. Sia matched her smirk as she stood up off Travis’s lap and he tried to pull her back but she swatted his hands away.

“Gypsy, baby, leave them alone.” He cooed. Travis was a thousand times nicer than the rest of them. The only really thing that qualified him as being a plastic was the fact that he was a football player, he was insanely popular, and he was dating Gypsy, other than that he really didn’t fit. She however ignore his soft pled.

The senior trip had been complete torture for mostly everyone except for Gypsy and the plastics. The chaperons yelled at them for practically everything, yet they seemed to overlook anything that the popular kids did and that really pissed Drew off. He normally didn’t give a shit about fairness, but when he was eighteen and smoking and got written up, yet Jackson and Travis were drinking and didn’t so much as get talked to, it really pushed his buttons.

Not to mention the fact that he’d walked in on his best friend sky, sleeping with that sleazy ass hole, Aaron, from home room in his fucking tent. Andy would never admit to being jealous, because he was happy with Nate, but he was beyond jealous, he’d had to take a hike alone and his irritation had caused a fight between him and Nathan. He wasn’t sure what it was about Sky that made him completely crazy sometimes. She was his best friend and he loved her to death, he was insanely protective of her and he knew that Nate was insecure about his friendship with Sky most the time because of how close they were, but he always reassured him that they were only friends.

Him and Nate were just getting back from swimming down by the lake. He’d spent the day alone with Nate and he had to admit even being away from Sky that long, he missed her. She was his better half and he sometimes wonder what it would have been like if he’d ended up with her instead of Nate, but in all truth he loved his boyfriend. His fingers were laced with Nate’s as they walked through the campground, walking past several campfires and he was dreading walking past the Plastics, because he knew Gypsy and he knew she’d give them shit. He could already see Sia’s eyes on them as they approached.

“Babe, just keep walking alright, I’ll deal with her.” He sighed and Nate simply nodded. Nate was extremely shy and Andy was his first boyfriend, he still hadn’t come out to his parents.

Just like Drew had predicted Gypsy stepped out in front of him and he let go of Nate’s hand and Nate continued. Andrew’s eyes raked over Sia disgusted. She was actually very beautiful, but her personality made her ugly and if he never ended up with a girl, she was the reason why. He couldn’t even begin to explain how much he hated her and even as he stood there with her, she hadn’t even opened her mouth yet he could feel his blood pressure rising.

“So uh
tell me queerbait, who takes it up the ass.” She smirked wickedly and she could hear the snickers of her faithful followers behind her which only feed her cruel confidence. “My money’s on your faggot boyfriend.” She said cruelly. Drew’s fists and jaws clenched at the same time as he fought back the urge to loss it and punch her in the face. “You do threesomes?” she continued as Baylee came to stand by her side, getting ready to add her own cruel words. “With Sky? I mean wouldn’t surprise me, she acts enough like a guy you guys probably don’t know the difference.” Baylee laughed next to her.

Andrew kept his glare fixed on Gypsy. “Listen you fucking bitch.” he took a threatening step towards the blonde Queen bee, but Sia didn’t back down, she simply continued to smirk. “Keep talking I’ll make sure you mommy has to pay to reconstruct that beautiful face of yours.” He spat back, taking another step forward as he toward over her, inches from her face.

Travis was quick to step in between them. Gently pushing Drew back and he shoved the football player off him. “Just relax, alright.” He said holding Drew’s gaze.

“Yeah, keep your girl in check or I’ll put her in her place. Maybe if you’d fuck the bitch out of her, the world would be a better place.” He spat hatefully as he pushed past Travis and headed towards his tent.

Jackson had to admit that the Senior Trip had turned out better than he'd thought it would. He'd spent most of the trip with Cami, giving her nearly all of his attention. He had kept an eye out for Sia. Though he'd never say so, he still felt something for his ex. However, he'd ruined that ship and now he was still with Cami. They'd spent their time making out, having sex, or simply just enjoying the time outdoors with each other. Though he wouldn't admit it to anyone, Jackson was rather glad to be on the trip. He was able to get away from everything that was constantly bringing him down.

It was their last night before they were to return home. Back to the everyday drawl that he hated so much. Currently, nearly everyone was sitting around campfires. Jackson had gone and changed after he and Cami had gotten back from the lake. Jackson was practically on his back, lips locked with Cami's. They were paying no mind to those around them.

He felt like he was floating. Something he tended to fell when he was trying to forget the things around him. It was only when Sia got up that Jackson seemed to snap out of the current moment that he was sharing with his girlfriend. He gently pushed her off of him so that he could sit up. He allowed his gaze to follow his ex's form as she made her way toward Drew. He knew that she was most likely going to treat the poor kid quite badly. As she normally did. However, he could not say that it bothered him.

That didn't mean that he couldn't watch. The woman spoke cruelly to the man and Jackson was not surprised. Sia hated anything that had to do with Skylar and Drew had been lucky enough to wander too close. "Come on, Jackson. Let's turn in early. No one will miss us." Cami purred from behind him. She wrapped her arms about his neck, keeping herself close to him. A small smile crossed his face. "Not right now. Maybe in a bit." He dropped his voice then. "I want to see where this goes." Cami laughed as she quickly moved to sit in his lap. "Then the least you can do is keep me distracted as I wait."

Jackson gave a small shake of his head as he moved his hands to Cami's shoulders. It was something that he'd done for Sia so many times before. He began running his fingers up and down her back. The woman leaned into his touch, a smirk on her face as she watched the woman that had once been her friend. Jackson allowed his gaze to return to Sia. He deemed it safe since Cami was no longer watching him.

Skylar and Aaron were laying together on the grass. The man had wanted to go hiking though Skylar had refused. Instead, she'd suggested simply watching the sky. She was silent as they lay together though Aaron was talking. His new thing was trying to get her to be his girlfriend. "We've been fucking each other long enough now. I mean, you obviously keep coming back for a reason. Oh course she kept coming back. She wanted to forget the man that she did really like. When Andy had walked in on her and Aaron, she'd simply ignored the blonde man. She wanted to know what he'd thought..felt. She'd caught a glance of him as he'd turned to leave and she could have sworn he was either upset or angry.

"Skylar?" She sighed, turning her gaze to the man at her side. "Look, I'm really not into dating anyone. If it makes you feel any better, I'm not screwing anyone else." Aaron seemed to accept this. "As long as it stays that way." He said. Skylar rolled her eyes before getting up off the ground. She quickly got dressed and then looked down at Aaron. "Where you going?" He asked.

She just shook her head. "I'm going to find Andy. I want to talk to him. I'll catch you later." She said, making her way from the man. She slowly headed towards the main campsite. She felt eyes on her the moment she came close to the group. She spotted Jackson, her 'sister's' ex. He was definitely hot and she couldn't understand why she'd broken up with him. Sure, he'd cheated..but she was certain that there had been a reason for it.

Skylar ignored the group, making her way to Andy's tent. She paused outside before entering. She hoped that he wasn't getting it on with Nathan. "Hey." She said, moving inside the tent. "So, is there a reason Gypsy and her flock looked so worked up? I feel like I missed something." She said, eyeing her friend. She was trying to act as if nothing had happened. She hated feeling so awkward around her friend. Luckily, she'd had her hair down and so he'd not been able to see much but still..her and Aaron had not stopped.

She looked down for a moment before glancing to Nathan. "Will you give us a few? I need some girl talk." She was asking him, though in truth she was not going to take no for an answer. She glanced to Andy, as if asking him to send the other man away.

Gypsy’s eyes followed Drew as he walked away, there was the smallest part of her that felt bad. But, the second Travis spun her around to face him and pressed his lips to hers, she didn’t give a shit about anything. His kiss was nothing compared to Jackie’s and she hated that every time they kissed she had to compare it to the way Jackson used to kiss her.

“God, damn babe.” Travis breathed against her lips and she smirked. “What want to fuck you so bad.” He said between kisses as his lips traced her jawline. Her eyes fell on Jackson again and she hated herself for it, because this time she met his gaze.

She wanted him so bad it physically hurt, but she refused to let him hurt her again. Not that it even looked like he missed her. She forced herself to look away as Travis continued to kiss her. Gypsy was the type of girl that was incredibly good at hiding her emotions so you didn’t know what she was feeling or thinking, but somehow the closer it got to graduation and the closer Jackson and Cami got, she found it harder and harder to keep herself from begging him to take her back. She needed him and she hated him for having made her so dependent on him.

“What do you say?” Travis whispered against her skin and Sia swallowed back the pain that she knew would come out in her voice if she didn’t get herself under control.

“Yeah.” She said with a confident smile that she knew Travis wouldn’t be able to see through. “I’m going to go smoke, I’ll meet you in the tent.” She smirked and he kissed her once more before walking past her towards their tent.

Gypsy took a deep breath as she composed herself with her back turned to Cami and Jackson. He’d humiliated her by sleeping with one of her best friends, the entire school had found out, yet Gypsy had acted like it didn’t matter. Despite the fact that she’d cried herself to sleep for two weeks straight and that was nearly the only time her and Sky got along, she assumed it was because for the first time ever Sky actually felt bad for her. But, as soon as Gypsy had shut down her vulnerable side and put her walls up again, her and Sky had gone right back to hating each other.

She turned and made her way past Cami and Jackson and walked into the forest so she could be alone. It was rare that Gypsy wanted to be alone. It was dark, with the fade lights of the campfire as she found a tree stump to sit on. She pulled her pack of cigarette’s placing one between her, as she lit it. She took a long much needed drag off of it. If she was being completely honest with herself, which she rarely was, she didn’t want to go fuck Travis, she just wanted to be alone. She knew that was asking too much though. There was a part of her that knew Travis would more or less be asleep when she got back, so she took her time smoking she was in no rush to get back and she doubted anyone would come looking for her.

Drew was livid. He should know by now not to let the bitch get to him, but he couldn’t help it. Even when Drew went over to Sky’s house to visit Gypsy and him were always getting into fights. He was convinced that she was jealous, because in all honesty if you took away her money and took her out of her position of power she’d have no one, it was a terrible thing to say about someone, but it was the honest truth. If you did the same thing to Sky, she’d still have him and Nate and people who ACTUALLY gave a shit about her.

Andrew slipped into the tent with Nate who glanced up to him, sighing. “Everything okay?” he asked although Nate could tell just by looking at Drew, he was pissed.

"Hey." Skylar interrupted before Andy had a chance to answer Nate. "So, is there a reason Gypsy and her flock looked so worked up? I feel like I missed something." she asked and Drew merely rolled his eyes and gave a small scoff. He watched Sky glance to Nathan and he knew what was coming next. "Will you give us a few? I need some girl talk." she asked before glancing to him and Drew hadn’t missed the way she’d looked at him and he sighed running his fingers through his blonde hair.

Drew lend over and pressed his lips to Nate’s, placing a hand on the back of his neck as he pulled away. “Why don’t you go see if you can score a pack of smokes off your brother?” he said giving Nate a reassuring smile. Nate’s twin brother, hung around with the skater kids and they looked nothing alike at least not to Andrew. Nathan let out a sigh as he slipped out of the tent, leaving Andy and Sky alone.

“Listen babe, if you want advice on what you should do with that prick your fucking, I can’t help you out with that?” he shrugged as he held her bright blue eyes with his own deep blue ones. “You know how I feel about that ass hole.” He said simply. “However.” He smirked. “If it has nothing to do with him, I’d be happy to help.” He kept his eyes on her. “Oh and your sister, decided to call me out in front of all her friends.” He shrugged. “If that stupid ass boyfriend of hers wouldn’t have stepped it I might have knocked her down a few pegs.” He said with a wicked smirk on his lips.

Jackson continued watching Gypsy as she returned to Travis's arms. He rolled his eyes as his ex-friend began kissing his ex-girlfriend. He tore his gaze away from them, unable to watch. He looked down to the woman that he had near him. She was nothing like Gypsy though when he'd first hooked up with her it had only been because he'd been weak..needed someone..something different. Had he been in his right mind, he was not so sure that he would have cheated on her.

Sia was soon walking by, heading into the forest without her boyfriend. Jackson watched her until he could no longer see her. He placed a gentle kiss upon Cami's neck though she pulled away as one of her friends called for her. She turned, placing a kiss upon his lips. "I'll be back. Must be something interesting if they want to pull me away from you." She said, rising. She left him and soon joined her friends.

Jackson watched her for a moment, seeing that she was focused on whatever her friend had wanted. Jackson rose then, and headed off in the direction that Sia had gone in. He tried to be quiet. He didn't wish to startle her. It wasn't hard to find her. He knew her all too well to know how far she'd go. He came up behind her and stopped by her side. He wasn't surprised to find her smoking. They'd not talked since they'd split and now Jack was wondering why he'd followed her.

He was silent for a moment. "Hey." He said, glancing to her. He hesitated for a moment before continuing. "How are you?" He asked. He was fairly certain that he knew..but it was the nice thing to do..asking about her. He was silent as he allowed her to speak if she wished to. Only after she fell silent did he speak again. "Look, I wanted to apologize to you. Last year..when I was in the hospital. You wanted to know why I was there and I wouldn't tell you. I had a heart problem and with all the meds they had me on..I wasn't in my right mind. So, I'm sorry..for everything. I never meant to hurt you." He was suddenly refusing to look at her. It had taken him so long to say those words. Part of them were a lie. The depression medications that he'd been put on had caused a slight problem with his heart...but...details. She didn't need to know that right now.

She watched as Andy kissed Nathan. She could easily see that the man didn't want to leave them. However, Skylar said nothing. Nathan left them and it was then that Andy spoke to her. “Listen babe, if you want advice on what you should do with that prick your fucking, I can’t help you out with that? You know how I feel about that ass hole. However, if it has nothing to do with him, I’d be happy to help. Oh and your sister, decided to call me out in front of all her friends. If that stupid ass boyfriend of hers wouldn’t have stepped it I might have knocked her down a few pegs.” Andy said.

Skylar smiled at her friend. "Dude, why does all the awesome things happen when I'm not around?" She asked, taking off her hoodie and sunglasses. She then allowed herself to fall back, looking up at the ceiling of the tent. "I expect you to at least wait til I'm around next time before you get into it with Gypsy. You know I enjoy fighting with her." She remained silent for a bit longer, running a hand through part of her hair. She sighed softly, finally glancing over at her friend. "So, Aaron wants me to date him."

She was fully aware that Andy would probably not say anything on the matter. However, it felt better to get it off of her chest. She was fully aware that she was showing quite a bit of skin. However, it was obvious that she didn't care. "Anyway, that's not what I wanted to talk to you about." She said looking back up at the ceiling. She was suddenly refusing to look at her friend. "When you walked in on us..you looked..upset or something. I don't like feeling that you're not happy with me." She fell silent, finally looking off to the side.

Skylar was afraid to hear what her friend had to say. She was not used to having to talk about such a serious topic with him. She was also feeling rather odd that her friend had seen her in such a act. Before that, he'd never seen her body in such a way. She had no idea why she was feeling so bashful at the fact. She'd never thought about such things before so why should it matter now? He was completely into guys and that would never change. Regardless of her feelings, Andy would never care for her in the same way as she did him.

When Sia had finished one cigarette, she’d lit another. She was fighting the urge to break down and finally let herself cry. They’d broken the end of last year, yet to her it felt like they’d only broken up yesterday. He was the only one who really knew her, the real her. She’d completely cut him off after she called it off and she’d stopped talking to him, yet even after a year, she was still hung up on everything, because the pain was still fresh. She heard the creaking of a few branches behind her and she already knew it was him. She didn’t bother to look at him when he stopped beside her.

"Hey." she could feel his eyes on her, but she just pressed the cigarette to her lips, she din’t bother looking at him. "How are you?" it was painful to hear his voice again, because the last time they’d talked, they’d said some really awful things to each other. She didn’t answer his question, just let silence fall between them until he spoke again.

"Look, I wanted to apologize to you. Last year..when I was in the hospital. You wanted to know why I was there and I wouldn't tell you. I had a heart problem and with all the meds they had me on..I wasn't in my right mind. So, I'm sorry..for everything. I never meant to hurt you." She fought back tears, because she could hear in his voice he was lying. There was something else entirely going on back then and after all this time, he still couldn’t tell her.

“You’re a real fucking piece of work, you know that Gavitt.” She breathed and you could hear the pain in her voice, because no matter how hard she fought, she couldn’t hide it when it was just them. “Why do you do that? Lie to me, I can see right through your bull shit.” She finally stood up and looked at him, even in the darkness she could make out every inch of his facial features. “You know I would have been there, but instead of letting me in, you just hid from me.” She swallowed back a flood of tears and let it fall silent for a moment before she continued. “And if your so fucking sorry, you’d have left Cami
not kept fucking her.” She spat harshly. “You never gave a shit about us Jack, ever. So don’t stand her and apologize, when you and I both know, you’re not really sorry.” She said honestly. “I hope she was worth it Jackie.” She breathed.

"Dude, why does all the awesome things happen when I'm not around?" she asked as she slipped out of her hoodie and sunglasses. "I expect you to at least wait til I'm around next time before you get into it with Gypsy. You know I enjoy fighting with her." he chuckled as he glanced down to her lying on her back.

It was simple with her, it always was. He never felt like he had to put on a show or be someone else. They’d been friends for so long now it was natural to be with her, only ever since she’d started seeing Aaron, things had become a little more forced between the two of them, more awkward and he couldn’t understand why.

"So, Aaron wants me to date him." she finally said getting to the point and his jaw clenched and then unclenched. "Anyway, that's not what I wanted to talk to you about. When you walked in on us..you looked..upset or something. I don't like feeling that you're not happy with me." it fell silent and he let a sigh escape his lips.

He wasn’t exactly sure how he was going to word things, he knew what he wanted to say to her, but he didn’t want to hurt her. Which was unusual for him, considering even when it came to Nate, he really didn’t care to much about hurting someone’s feeling. He pulled his flask filled with whisky out from under his pillow and too a swig of it before offering it to her.

“Listen, I don’t give a shit what you do.” He finally said even though the words were a lie. “I just know that you could do a whole hell of a lot better than that loser.” He said honestly as he laid down next to her, letting his eyes focus on the tents ceiling. “He doesn’t have a job, he’s got shitty grades, and he’s a dick. Your better than that Sky.” He said rolling on his side and propping himself up on his elbow. His light British accent coming out a bit. “Beside, whoever you end up has to show up the lame wash up football star your sister’s going to end up with.” He smirked trying to lighten the mood.

“You’re a real fucking piece of work, you know that Gavitt.” Sia said. Jackson could hear the pain in her voice and even though he didn't want to admit it, he hated hearing that he'd caused her pain. “Why do you do that? Lie to me, I can see right through your bull shit.” Jackson looked away from Sia. He should have known that she would be able to see straight through him. He said nothing, however, allowing the woman to continue if she wished. As Sia stood, Jack's gaze never left her. “You know I would have been there, but instead of letting me in, you just hid from me. And if your so fucking sorry, you’d have left Cami
not kept fucking her. You never gave a shit about us Jack, ever. So don’t stand her and apologize, when you and I both know, you’re not really sorry. I hope she was worth it Jackie.”

At her words, Jackson quickly felt anger. "Did you ever to stop to think that maybe there was a reason I didn't want to let you in?" He asked, his voice quickly rising. "That I didn't want you seeing me so weak?" He paused, his eyes searching out Sia's. "I'm only with Cami because you left me. I needed someone and she was there." He suddenly moved closer to the young woman so that there was barely any space between them. "Don't you dare say that I never cared about us. You were the only thing that kept me going..kept me from ending everything right then."

He knew that he'd said too much. She would probably start asking questions. He'd hinted at wanting to kill himself and he regretted it. He sighed heavily, moving away from Gypsy slightly. He ran a hand through his hair in frustration. "She will never mean anything to me..never."

Jackson moved forward then, sitting down on the ground. He pulled his knees closer to him, wrapping his arms around them. He rested his chin on his arms, looking out across the woods. He was trying to calm himself. He shouldn't allow himself to get so angry with her. None of this was her fault. It was all on him. Every thing that had happened between them all came down to the choices he'd made. "I am sorry. It doesn't matter if you believe me or not. I know that I hurt you and I can never do anything to make that up to you..there's no point in me trying..besides, you've got Travis now. What's it matter what happened last year?"

Andy pulled out a flask and then took a drink and then offered it to her. Skylar took hold of the flask and then leaned up slightly, taking a quick swig of the strong liquid. She then laid back down, handing the flask back. “Listen, I don’t give a shit what you do. I just know that you could do a whole hell of a lot better than that loser.” Andy then laid down next to her. "He doesn’t have a job, he’s got shitty grades, and he’s a dick. Your better than that Sky.” Her friend said, rolling onto his side and then propping himself up. “Beside, whoever you end up has to show up the lame wash up football star your sister’s going to end up with.”

Skylar was silent for a long moment, simply allowing them to be surrounded by the sounds of those around them. She slowly turned over on her side so that she could look at her friend. Her gaze rested on the young man as she leaned in slightly closer. "I'm not in love with him, silly. I'm just using him." She glanced down, looking at Andy's chest. "But, regardless of that..it's not like there are many guys hanging about just dying to be with me and..I just needed to feel something."

She was being fairly honest with him. She hated sticking around him, being forced to watch as he committed himself to Nathan. She loved him, more than she cared to admit. However, there was no possible way that they would ever be together. She sighed softly. "Of course, if my dad had his way I'd be with the guy that lives next door. He's a thousand times worse than Aaron."

Skylar allowed herself to meet Andy's gaze once again. "I figure that it's more likely that I'll grow into a old lady who has nothing but her pets." She was smiling now, a sign that she knew quite well that the likelihood of her ending up alone was quite slim. However, Skylar had the habit of being down quite often. It had started when her mother had died. She would be completely fine one minute and the next..she would be upset about nothing or everything at the same time. Andy was one of the few people that knew how to see through the lies and walls that she hid behind so often.
