Introduction
(Someone's going to kill me for making so many rps in a row...)
The Bathhouse ; Realm of the Spirits
In Japan, somewhere from 2013-2030, there is a bathhouse, set on the road to what many people leads to a neighborhood when it's only a dead end. At the end of this road is what appears to be a shrine, but after the guests pass through this shrine, they find they're in a field of green grass, statues of spirits and empty old Japanese houses everywhere. If one were to proceed, they'd find themselves in a plaza, but a plaza of restaurants, and only restaurants. A little strange right? No one's there, and everything's empty; No food is to be seen, no people is to be seen. But there's this one that has the fires going, and the smell reaches the noses of the guests. Some chose not to find the location of this alluring scent, but those who do just fell into a death trap.
That food set out is for the Spirits, or what some call Youkai in the world of Japan, and once eaten by a human, or at least, if a large quantity is eaten, then they turn into pigs. Yes, pigs. These are then found by the spirits at night, and are taken to the barn where, after getting fattened, are cooked and eaten, like any other pig. This is the fate of the humans that eat this spirit food, but those that don't may just have a chance at living and saving those that did eat the food. That is... if they know the right actions and words to play.
There is one Youkai who walks around to find stray humans, or even stray Youkai. If they find a human, depending on what interest this Youkai takes in them, will either be saved by taking a single cherry of these spirit's food, only a single cherry of any more will make them end up with the same fate as those who ate the food in the plaza. Either way though, these humans, to survive, must find a job before any other Youkai finds them and makes them pigs as well.
If they do succeed in finding a job, whether it be sharing with another Youkai if he or she accepted, or if they're just working all around in this bathhouse, they will not be turned into pigs, and have a chance at getting their old life back with their family and friends. If they want it back.
But, if they fail to do so and get caught by the headmistress of the bathhouse, they're in deep trouble. The headmistress of this bathhouse takes little pity on anyone as the bathhouse is a society and a strict organization, so it's up to her to decide what to do with the following humans that had crossed into her world. If she does not find them interesting, or worthy to work for her, she turns them into pigs which will have the same fate as most pigs; Killed and eaten. Though, if she thinks otherwise, that human is able to live peacefully among the spirits, maybe a little poverty will come as a human, but nevertheless, that human is safe.
That's not all though. Humans have names, last, middle (usually), and last, but the headmistress, to keep them working for her and to keep them from leaving their world, she takes their name. Yes, takes their name. The headmistress makes them sign a contract (if they want to live that is) with their name on it, and literally takes it into her palm and destroys it before then assigning the human a new name to be called by. Over time, if a human forgets their real name, it will be impossible to leave the bathhouse and get out of the headmistress's grasp.
(Also, you may have to edit the skelly, and feel free to actually! Just make sure certain important parts are put down like the role, race, you know the drill! The skelly may HAVE to be altered though, so be prepared to fix it, or don't fix it at all! Either way!)
Tips to remember:
~Anyone in the bathhouse wear oriental Japanese clothing, such as kimonos.
~Note that regular humans can proceed to work in the bathhouse throughout the rp (If found by the look out)
~Spirits are also not allowed to leave the spirit world
~Spirits only come out at night, during the day they tend to stay in the bathhouse
~There is a lot of poverty among spirits and humans who work in the bathhouse
~Characters from the movie will not be in the rp other than the roles being available such as the boiler man or headmistress
~Roles from the movie can be taken as a job (Costumer, chef, etc.) and main roles such as the boiler man can be changed to a boiler woman who could be in her mere childhood years or late teenagers, etc. rather than being an old man. (Their appearance may change as well)
~Try making Spirit's ages different (Such as child, adults, and teenagers)
~Humans do not become Spirits once eating their food and working there.
~Spirits are often spirits of an object (Ex. Radish Spirit)
~Make a variety of personalities!
~Please, PLEASE do not make your character the same spirit as someone else

"D-do you know where they are? If they're on their way here?"
Sumiko chuckled lightly, and she couldn't help but laugh a bit louder when Izumo got a bit too excited. "Calm down Izumo-san. I believe they are. I couldn't smell them for long, the scents crossed and it was just a mess of smells." Sumiko explained, holding out a hand Izumo up.
"Ick..." Sumiko covered her nose, smells unfamiliar seemingly getting stronger then before the albino a strong headache. "What the hell..." Sumiko grumbled, looking around before shrugging it off. "Alright girls, let's get this bath done! Then we can go see if we can find those humans before they get into trouble." After helping Izumo up, it was almost like Sumiko was on auto drive.

Kai was shocked when he found Kaikamai suddenly crawling up his body and curling around his neck. He blinked and eyed the kitsune. Kaikamai was never really a touchy person so what had changed? If everyone knew about Kaikamai and his love for food well Kai was the one person who did not know and he generally quiet confused at the moment. He'd admit it was nice that Kaikamai was being nice to him it only bothered him that he did not know why. Still he said nothing and continued to play his piano. Every once and awhile a spirit or worker would wander in and stop to listen. Kai would flash him his signature happy smile and the person would relax for awhile before going off to continue there own work. Though still Kai was a little tense as he felt something was happening somewhere that was changing the mood of the bathhouse everyone seemed much more tense even if they seemed to relax a little when they came to listen.

Kamai couldn't help but smirk when Kai seemed shocked. He smiled at him when he was looking at him, nuzzling his face into the boy's neck. He let out a small sound which sounded a bit like laughing. He didn't like it when spirits walked past and Kai gave them a perfect smile like it was a totally normal thing to do. He frowned at the human slightly, before beginning to talk in his kitsune voice. It was almost the same as his normal voice, just a bit more high pitched and much softer. "Hey Kai, do you mind if I play along?" he asked. He'd watched Kai's hands long enough on the melody; he was certain he could play it himself. "What time do you usually finish playing?" he whispered his words as he didn't know how much sound was carried through the air vents.

Mizu looked over for a moment, just to see Izumo fall in. Mizu snorted loudly, trying not to laugh and she covered her mouth. "Good going." Mizu laughed out loud a bit, then noticed Sumiko holding her hand out to help Izumo. Well, I can't be completely rude to her. That would be... rude. Mizu returned to her normal expression. "Are you okay?" But before waiting for an answer, she looked over and seen the tiger spirit feeling uneasy.
Alright girls, let's get this bath done! Then we can go see if we can find those humans before they get into trouble.
Mizu exhaled and nodded silently. I hope the workers don't give them any trouble. Mizu looked into the hall, and seen that few of them were still standing there. This struck a nerve. Geez, don't they have anything better to do? Mizu stood up. Like, cleaning the baths for example?! Mizu couldn't help but not stay calm. She crawled out of the bath, and seen a bucket of gross, green looking water and smirked. She picked the bucket up and shot an icy glare at the workers.
"Do you honestly have nowhere else to be?" Mizu raised a hand over the bucket of slimy, disgusting... Well, I wouldn't even call it water anymore. Mizu even frowned at the sight of it. What the hell kind of spirit was in this bath, anyways? She shrugged it off and shot her hand out towards the workers. The guck immediately came out of the bucket and shot directly towards the workers, some jumped out of the way, and others got completely covered with it. Mizu dropped the bucket on the ground. "You better go wash off." She then turned her back to them. "You'll smell."
Mizu started walking towards the giant tub again, to help the girls. She kneeled down, grabbed a sponge, and started scrubbing the sides of the bath, with a small smirk on her face, showing that she was clearly satisfied with herself.

Kai looked over at Kaikamai. "Of course you may join... And as for when I finish..." Kai trailed off his blue eyes going distant as he tried to think. He shook his head no and closed his eyes. "I don't have a set time... So whenever really... Unless Mami has a special request... Or I feel the need to keep playing." Kai closed his eyes and continued to play without need to look at the keys. The tune kept on changing sometimes things were added sometimes things were taken away but all in all the music flower and was easy to keep up with.

Kamai smiled softly. It was rather fun to watch Kai's mind working. He looked into space for a few seconds, before closing his eyes. Kamai looked at him while he answered and nodded slowly. Kamai closed his eyes for a few seconds, changing back into his human form. He got a sweet from his pocket and put it in his mouth, before sitting next to Kai at the piano. He, at first, played the same thing as Kai, but then he started adding extra chords and parts of the melody, and along with Kai's original masterpiece, it sounded amazing. He didn't notice the people walking around, some stopping to watch, and instead felt immersed in the piano. He hadn't played it in so long and now, he felt shivers in his back when he played it again.
He looked to his left at Kai and grinned at him, a mischievious grin of sorts, before he bit on the sweet in his mouth. He let himself close his eyes like Kai had done earlier and he smiled to himself, hearing only the music and grazing his arm against Kai's every few seconds.

Kai was happy to have someone to play with. He soon begun to also change the tune. He made sure that it complimented whatever Kaikamai added and Kai was pleased with the tune. He kept his eyes on the keys but he'd look up every so often at the older male. Kaikamai was confusing... But Kai supposed he did not mind. Finally willing his eyes to look away he noticed that the two of them had caught the attention of quite a few spirits who were sitting to listen. Among them was one that had taught him to play an instrument or two a regular. He smiled at the spirit and using his right hand to compensate gave the spirit a quick and happy wave before going back to what he was doing.
Kai allowed his part to drift to a close and Kaikamai to take over. The blonde human jumped down and collected his flute. Smiling he sat back on the piano bench but much more to the side so Kaikamai would have no problem reaching all the keys. Closing his blue eyes he brought the flute to his lips and began to play to accompany the kitsune' tune. It was rare that more then one instrument got played at the same time and the crowd seemed even more pleased by the combination of flute and piano that filled the place with soft flowing music. Perhaps Kai would plead with Mami to allow him to steal Kaikamai more often?

Kakaimai looked a bit shocked as Kai's part started fading out and his own took over, but he didn't stop playing and understood what was happening when Kai brought his flute out. Kamai made the piano tune much more complex now it was just him and he didn't have Kai's piano parts to compliment his, but then Kai began playing his flute in perfect harmony.
Kamai slow down from the tempo he had and began playing a very peaceful, Japanese song. The flute worked perfectly with this type of song so Kamai looked over and gave Kai an angelic smile, before going back to playing. Come to think of it, earlier on, Kai had stared at him for quite a while. He'd made quick eye contact and tried to make it look like he didn't care much, but a small blush had seeped onto his cheeks. Geez, he didn't like it when people stared. But Kamai realised that as he'd been thinking this, he was himself staring at Kai. He looked back at the piano nonchalantly.

Kai was happily playing his flute when he saw Kamai looking at him from the corner of his eye. Kai blinked confused and as he played turned to face the kitsune before smiling to the best of his ability while continuing to play his flute. He silently made gestures that signaled to the fox that he was now in-charge of how and where the music went. To be honest if Kai was rude about one thing it was about anyone touching his instruments or taking over his music but he felt more then happy to hand over some of the responsibility to the fox... Maybe it was because he had seen how careful he could be when cooking and trusted him with the delicate-ness of his instruments. Though he still was a little confused about the whole thing seeing as Kamai always acted in a rude fashion... But Kai had always had a hunch that could only be one half of the spectrum. There had to be another side to everyone right?

Her eyes narrow and she whipped her hand away from him. She felt like an idiot. How can she forget about the undeniable smell of a human.. She bit her lower lip and felt her mind race- but she was immediatly relived by the twins many flaw. His hate for his brother. It seemed to be so strong that he forgot about her and- 'The humans.' Quickly taking action, she slipped right past the two. Though as she did, she gave a small glance at Loki. she had to give it to him.. Even if he was an idiot.
Slipping away, she followed the trail of human energy and saw them near the hidden entrance. 'Seems like Loki led them..' But she wasnt going to leave them alone just yet. A couple of newts wont stop all those workers. Defiantly not the headmistress.
"I guess Im back sooner then I expected." She smiled, before waving them along. "Lets hurry.."
She was sure the headmistress knew of the human whereabouts. Hiding them would only add more problems.. "I assume L-" The miko stopped, and sighed. "Rapheal, told you to get a job. Well that is exactly what you have to do... Even if you dont want too.." Other words your pig meat. She mused dryly to herself, and made her way into the entrance.
"Now.. I hope you guys can work.."
Slipping away, she followed the trail of human energy and saw them near the hidden entrance. 'Seems like Loki led them..' But she wasnt going to leave them alone just yet. A couple of newts wont stop all those workers. Defiantly not the headmistress.
"I guess Im back sooner then I expected." She smiled, before waving them along. "Lets hurry.."

Kamai joined in with Kai's melody, his mind indicating him that he is tired. He didn't stop though, and wouldn't until Kai was done. Either that or he'd let the piano fade out softly. His green eyes got softer and lost a bit of their energy and he stared blankly in front and played calmly. He wasn't sure what to do and he just played on, now staring at Kai blankly. Kamai needed to get to sleep, and soon before his powers lose control and he falls asleep on the floor in kitsune form.
He began to make the piano fade out so only Kai was playing and when he was done, he fell backwards from his seat, turning into a kitsune for the time being. He climber up Kai's back and onto his shoulders again, his eyes sleepy.

I'm debating if Raphael see's Mami as a mom or boss. Any suggestions? He has been at the house his entire life. Either way I'm also debating if he has romantic feelings for her. I think at the moment all he wants from her is a hug to show that she actually cares about him...

o 3o well... This is a rather interesting conversation to waltz into buttt...
Ive never minded swearing when people rp I mean so long as it just between characters and doesn't flow overboard there's no issue especially sense it certain cases it almost needed depending on the character or mood and such...
On a side note I got bored and finally filled in the 'Character Thoughts Toward Others' Section of Kai's profile so yay~

It doesn't really matter as long as it's not really you swearing at someone else llD
I think that swearing is actually quite essential to certain types of character to express themselves in ways, so I'm fine with any type of cursing. As long as it's not used by the actually roleplayer at another roleplayer! Swearing in rp is cool, swearing outside... eh... depends how you're using it!

same here. Despite what people say about cursing, I think its one of the ways to show your character >3> But its necessary to use it right >:D

Aw man I know that feel. I have AP tests the next two weeks which might snag me enough college credit to walk in my freshman year with over a semester done. I'm stoked.

Also cool idea maybe? Instead of having a boiler man, we have a fire demon who lives in the boiler. The flames inside it could be his life force, and he has a humanoid form. I was thinking of referencing Calcifer from Howls.
