Description

Image
Nickname: Corey, Hyde-man
Age: 20
Sexuality: Heterosexual

Image

Appearance: Image
Corey typically has the look of a strong jock which he no doubt would have since he was one, having an appearance that he can be proud of, so he should be after how much work he put into his training and how much time he spent working out to make him the strong young man that he had grown to be. His workouts not only kept him healthy but also helped build up his strength and even develop his muscles, being rewarded with a six pack for all his work. Even when concealed with clothes, one can tell how strong he is though he doesn't brag about it.

It is the build on his body that sticks out more when observing him at a distance, but other than that is his height as he stands at a height of 6'2 making him a perfect height to have a perfect view of his surroundings which makes him quite an adversary on the field. His clothing his usually dark but he has no preference really, all depending on his purpose as he certainly wouldn't overload himself with clothes when he is off to train. He can be be described as slender, not really slim due to his build and certainly fit without question. His face is rounded with two sharp blue eyes and his hair is blond, short as long hair would only get in the way.

Personality~The Jock:
To begin with, Corbin/Corey is seen as a jock, which in itself without meeting Corin already labels him from all the stereotypes of a jock. Not that all stereotypes of a jock are bad since they are certainly popular, but there are negatives. Jocks are described as being muscular, not very smart by their only conversation being on the topics of sports, exercise or sex. They are seen as self-centered, aggressive, rude and arrogant, unintelligent, abusive, bullies to those less popular with much popularity especially among the female population which associates them automatically with losing a girl's virginity without a second thought.

Corbin however is much more respectful than that as he takes into account his background and how empathy towards others. The sterotypical jocks are no doubt such that grew in such a background, but in contrast to the stereotype, Corbin/Corey did not as he started right from the bottom before working his way upto the top. Corey certainly was popular at school and like the stereotypical jock he had a cheerleader for a girlfriend and thus made themselves the most popular couple in the school, but things were certainly not that easy, especially when Corey opposed bullying in contrast to the stereotype and such sometimes led to fights which later down the line had dropped his position on the team from Captain and in the process, his girlfriend dropped him to hook up with the new Captain.

He has his morals as he does think about others. Instead of being arrogant as boastful as others, he encourages those who want to do better and would even give his time afterall, even to those who are labelled as 'nerds', not giving a second thought of how he'd be seen at school because of it. Nevertheless, the stereotype of being muscular was true, his popularity was true and not being very smart was true, but he did his best in what he could do besides. Corey is approachable and does his best to make conversation but he's not the best conversation maker as when he runs out of things to say, it's either or talk about what he knows which is sports and exercise, once again referring to his stereotype but it could not be helped.

History:
As aforementioned, unlike the stereotypical jocks, Corey was not born a jock. Infact, his birth was more complicated, unexpected, undesired and unwanted. Why would a mother not want their own flesh and blood one may ask? but when their son was the result of some unwanted attention with their son being the product of such, such explains why. It was certainly a sad and devastating past, such that became a secret between the biological mother and his adoptive parents. In his early existence, it was debated whether to allow Corey to live with his biological mother deciding whether to have an abortion, but she could not bring herself to take a life of an innocent away, hence why she focused on getting the child adopted as soon as possible.

His adoptive father was a DI at the local police department and his adoptive mother was a Teachers' Assistant. Despite being unaware of his already troubled past, being unable to completely understand it with his innocence, he grew up as a loved child and was taken care of. As the years past, his crawl became a walk and his walk became a run that it did not take long till he was able to manage himself, something that spurred to his action as he entered school. At first he was alright and very polite, but then as the years went on, he gave into peer pressure and became quite the rascal though there probably is a better word to describe him and his antics. Sure the costs were being grounded now and then, but it was this part of his life that he was simply 'in it' to get in with the crowds, even if it got him into trouble.

It wasn't like he was totally bad or he would of been excluded, but that he preferred the company of several rather than the company of nobody and facing insults which he suffered in his younger days which had brought about his more of a 'bad boy' image he was portraying. Truth or Dare was certainly a popular game where others test your limits, even if it meant kissing another guy but truly meant nothing. Going along with the crowds certainly gained Corey a reputation which brought about his cockiness which he developed as he grew older.

He certainly was one to boast and brag and had fun with the other guys. Corey always had an interest in sports, but when his parents felt he reached a moderate age of understanding, they revealed to him his past which had been a pivotal point in his life to change, causing him to be more defensive and more focused now that he was getting older. Even while he was in his cocky days, he kept up his exercises and done them even more so now, becoming much more driven and much more helpful which led him through the end of school and into college where he continued his pursuit of sports to achieve his 'personal best' while trying to increase his 'personal best' as never know one day he could be quite the athlete and get out of this 'jock' image he had gathered, which he was starting to get out of touch of, but yet he retained his reputation as one despite his change.

However, Corey wasn't the brightest bulb which leads to his light dimming quite a bit, especially when a girl was showing affection which he could hardly deny when he was single and that the girl was pretty. In his experience though, he has learnt that there is more to a person than meets the eye. When the cheerleader dated him when he was captain, she was merely after her popularity which came first, hence why he tries to look at people in a different light, for those who were actually human, actually genuine but it was hard. Sure his training had been his own pursuit to get stronger and pursue his love for sports, but in doing so he only brought more attention to his first, his abs being hard to hide when you are playing the game with such on show when you could not keep your shirt on anymore.

Anyhow, it was certainly a relief when he finished college, but with being captain and being cheerleader no longer the big thing, each went their different ways while Corey focused on what he should do next. Afterall, he wasn't very smart but he did not know about sports and exercise, which is what brought him to a new gym that was opening in New York which gave him the perfect opportunity to keep up with his training and encouraging people as he liked to do. The only missing part to this was a place to stay, and as if by fate an advertisement for cheap rooms had come to his attention which he immediately responded to, grabbing his gear and making his way down to start his dream. Sure he'd be sharing with others, though that didn't bother him as he wouldn't be alone then, but it did make him wonder what sort of people he'd be around...

Karolyne Teverr
Image
She was very frightened, but then she saw a friendly little cottage in the distance ~ Goldilocks and The Three Bears

Karolyne sat in her mum’s car, looking out the window. It used to be hers, but her mum needed it more, hat with her going to adopt a kid soon and Karolyne moving out. Karolyne had only found out a few days ago, and was almost regretting moving into a complete stranger’s house, but memories of her dad haunted her too much. She sighed and looked at her mum in the driver’s seat next to her, smiling happily. Karry was glad she was happy, she truly was, but she just didn’t feel happy. Normally being around happy people made her happy, but not right now. Maybe it was moving out, maybe it was her dad’s passing, but whatever it was it didn’t matter. What did matter was how the hell Karry was going to get along with her housemates. She didn’t always get along well with people, and these people probably wouldn’t like her. She didn’t care. Friends weren’t necessary to move in somewhere. She never had, and never would need friends. Allies, but not friends.

Karolyne and her mother turned into the street Teller Avenue, and looked for number 20. Eventually, Karolyne saw it. It was a pretty large house, with a nice garden, and it had smoke coming from the chimney. Karolyne bet that there were some wicked opportunities for stunts around and about the old place. She grinned, and prepared to be bombarded by the scents of family. When she'd checked the house out yesterday, she could smell cookies baking from the sidewalk. As they pulled up, she looked at her mother and her mother looked at her. They both smiled, and hugged each other tight, but it was a bit hard to reach across the gap between the seats. When Karolyne pulled away, she saw her mother had a tear in her eye. "What, is there something in your eye?" Her mother laughed softly, sniffed and put a hand on her chest, looking at her daughter, her eyes filled with pride. "No dear, I'm just so proud of my little girl, grown up and moving out." Karolyne groaned, blushing from embarrassment. "Mum, I'm 20 years old already! And this is only temporary, remember?" Her mother smiled, and Karolyne gave her another hug before they both got out of the car.

Karolyne picked up her skirts as she stepped out of the car, her red converse sneakers shining bright against the darker shades of her outfit. She closed the door behind her, and jogged to the back of the car, her slightly modified Victorian dress easier to run in than a normal one would be. She opened up the boot of the red car, and pulled out her three suitcases of clothes and things, whilst her mother took her large few boxes of belongings. Closing the boot, Karolyne's stomach was filled with adrenaline as she readied herself for the certain havoc that was going to occur in this house. Looking at her mother again, they both nodded sharply at each other, and their athletic legs carried them and the various boxes up to the house easily. Karolyne jumped up the stairs, almost dropping the boxes, but she did a little wobble to regain control of the boxes. She took a deep breath, closed her eyes, let the adrenaline build up, and knocked on the door.

Almost instantly, the door opened, but no one was there. Karolyne was puzzled, until she heard a little cough. She turned sideways to the house so the suitcases weren't in her way, and saw a little boy raising an eyebrow. "Oh, the housemates have started arriving. What a surprise, I was expecting a girl scout selling cookies!" Karolyne smirked at the boy's humor, then looked around in the house, and was about to ask to be allowed inside when an elderly voice came from inside the house. "Jason! Leave the dear alone and let her in!" The boy, apparently Jason, stepped out of the way, and Karolyne gratefully stepped inside, putting the suitcases down at the side of the door, and her mother did the same with Karolyne's box of belongings. Soon, an elderly lady bustled around the corner, and grabbed her in a hug. Karolyne was shocked by the woman, and stiffly hugged her back. She was wearing an apron, probably baking judging by the flour and how most people liked cookies to eat after a long journey. The woman held her by the shoulders, and looked her up and down. She scrunched up her mouth then grinned. "Ah, I remember now! You're Karolyne! You came to see the house! I wouldn't forget a pretty face and unique fashion sense!" Karolyne grinned at the woman's kindness, and did some remembering of her own. "So Ms. Smith, where will I be staying?" The woman pointed at a piece of paper pinned to the wall. "You and your roommate are listed there. I stuck your names on the doors as well so you could find the rooms easily dear." Karolyne groaned at the mention of roommates, but Ms. Smith was distracted by Jason peering into the mixing bowl. Karolyne turned to her mum, who smiled sweetly at her. "You go get your stuff ready, I'll just have a cup of tea before I leave." Karolyne nodded, and walked over to the piece of paper, her skirts swishing as she walked.

Karolyne peered at the piece of paper and read it.
ROOMMATES
Kaylee Remington ~ Riley Dean

Lucinda Myratles ~ Karolyne Teverr

Sophie Mazzocco ~ Casey (Please BEHAVE Casey! Just because you're sharing your room, doesn't mean you have to be rude.)

Sebastian Samuels ~ Brad Lovell

Dale James ~ Corbin Hyde

Jason, you will be sharing your room with another fellow who hasn't given me his name yet. I'm sure he will be lovely.

Ms. Smith xoxo

Karolyne sighed, dreading sharing a room with a complete stranger. She hoped she wouldn't mind her small red ant collection and her tarantula. She wondered if they'd stayed in the box the whole journey, maybe they'd slipped out. The excitement of just finding out was great. She turned to her suitcases, picked them up, and started to walk about the house. She found the bathroom easily enough. Some lucky lucky person would get to smell the morning's crap every day. It wasn't her. She was upstairs, in a room that was almost an attic room, except it wasn't an attic, it just felt like one. The light blue door had Karolyne and her roommate Lucinda's name on it. The door was slightly ajar, and Karolyne kicked it open, and the expected happened. A bucket of confetti tumbled down, laying out a colourful carpet of shredded paper in front of her. Karolyne smirked at her prank detecting skills, and put her suitcases down on the ground before sitting on one of the single beds. It was a pretty blank room, some shelves, a drawer and cupboard for each side of the room, one window, white walls, and beds fitted with stripy sheets and spotty blankets. Overall, the room seemed both neat and mismatched at the same, like a holiday shack. Karolyne lay back on the bed, staring at the blank ceiling. She smiled, and closed her eyes, expecting some more new members of this will be crazy household to arrive.

Casey JoAnn Smith

Casey groaned angrily as she stood on the little green stepping stool inside her bedroom. Well, now it wasn’t her bedroom
it was ‘their’ bedroom. Her grandmother had recently told her that she needed to share her bedroom with another girl, only because there was not enough bedrooms to go around and her grandmother didn’t want to turn away a young adult in need. Where her single bed once stood was now pushed against the wall, so another bed was able to be inside. Luckily, it was a large enough room for two. By her bed was her large desk, where her rat cage and computer sat. Neatly folded blankets and pillows sat on the spare bed, which sat across the room, so there was enough space to cross the floor. Casey was told to move the new desk into the bedroom, and she did, but she couldn’t find the desk chair. So, there was a chairless desk sitting against the far wall, near the second bed. They had to share a closet, but Casey didn’t mind. Most of her clothes was stuffed inside her trunk. The bedroom was lightly colored, light shades of blue and white, something to bounce off the sunrays through the window.
She leaned forward and settled a small bowl of grain for her pet rat. Whoever roomed with her
better like her rat, she wasn’t about to get rid of him. She heard someone knock on the door, just after she heard her grandmother yell at her brother. She was not a happy camper and her face clearly read it. The girl wore blue jeans, white top with a blue sweater. Her hair was neatly braided into two single braids that hung over her shoulders. Her grandmother said it made her look sweeter, than the little trouble maker she can be.

She thought back to her pranks that morning. At first, she was going to go all out, messy...but she didn't want the newcomers to know she was good. So instead, she did harmless pranks, such as confetti in a bucket, fake spiders in another above some guy named Corbin's door, and other random things. Later, though, she was going to give them the real taste of her medicine.

She hopped off the stool and pushed it underneath her bed. Fixing her sweater, she kissed the glass cage and turned off the desk lamp. “I’ll catch ya later, Mickle.” She said, heading out of her bedroom. She quickly hurried across the hall and into the living room. “Jason, where did you put it?” Casey crossed her arms. “You hid Mickle’s runaway ball again, didn’t you?”

And right then, Casey let out a frustrated scream. “Grandma!” She shouted, “Have you seen Mickle’s runaway ball!?”
Casey's grandmother walked into the living room, wiping her hands down on her apron. "Casey, inside voice. I think you left it in the hamper again. Oh, be a dear and open the door for our new guests?"

Casey watched as her grandmother left and she let out a heavy sigh. She moved to the front door and opened it carefully, staring up at a taller man. She looked him up and down, a crease in between her eyebrows. She was upset. "Come in. Your room is on the slip on the wall." She walked away, leaving the door wide open before she quickly pushed her brother over on the couch and settled next to him.

Corbin Hyde

Corey was the type of guy that stuck to his guns. He may not be the brightest spark, but he was the type of guy who remained persistant and determined to reach his goal. It was such dedication that had driven him year-by-year and day-by-day, as he continued to better himself. If a person wanted to get to a certain place for a certain time, the question then would be asked as to why take a car or coach when you can take the train which is much quicker and gets to the destination much quicker also. The same applied with competitions, why aim for bronze or silver when you could achieve gold. This sort of thinking is what Corey has lived by, that if reaching higher is attainable, then it should be pursuited no matter what obstacles may be in the way. Afterall, life is an obstacle in himself, but since his pivotal moment of learning his origin and his real mother, his stance changed slightly to if a goal is worthy of pursuit, if it is genuine, if it is good, then should at least give things ago.

When in school, a young student would begin to have troubles at performing certain tasks and delivering skills required of them, but the key to success from what had been installed in his mind was that practice makes perfect, and that there is no such thing as giving up. While Corey was in his training period, before he became the bulk of a man he was today, he had much competition to deal with and yes he lost here and there, but due to his drive and passion, he worked hard until he was able to get better. He personally did not mind losing as such clearly highlighted his weak points of what he needed to improve upon, as well as the fact that it was the taking part that counted rather than winning or losing, which is why win or lose didn't bother Corey so much as other jocks do who would be angered and frustrated by their defeat. Corey however loved a challenge...

Speaking of challenges, though Ms Smith's place wasn't a playing field, it still remained a challenge since there were other people who would be sharing the house, unaware of who he would be spending his time with, unaware of what such people were like and if he would find friends, or maybe enemies, or maybe no-one or maybe someone. Who knows?! but Corey was ready for it as he pulled along two suitcases, on wheels! along Teller Avenue after his father had dropped him off. Sure he still cared for his mother and female even though they were adopted, but they were not exactly the best with them working all the way and he was 20 now! he had a life of his own! and not to mention there was that new gym that had opened that had accepted his application so moving was certainly the best way forward, even if it meant sharing with strangers. As he approached Number 20, he noticed a dust of smoke fill the air as a taxi drove off, speeding off in the distance and in the middle of the road, roadhogs he commented to himself.

Continuing on, he looked towards the house where a girl with ginger or strawberry-blonde as some prefer to describe it, stood outside the door with quite a few bags. There certainly was alot of stuff that she brought with her. He himself had condensed things as best as he could, he certainly couldn't bring his mini-gym into the house which is why he left it behind, but he brought what he felt was needed, though some were more attached to their things than others. Corey was simply on the move again, as he walked towards the door with his suitcases behind him as he overheard the girl as the door opened from within, "Hi, I'm Kaylee Remington. This is Ms. Smith's house right? I hope so, hence the sign on the door about the roommates policy. If it isn't there's a sign about that on your door. Maybe the wind blew too hard?".

The girl who had introduced herself as Kaylee certainly had a sense of humour. However, what had peaked his interest even more so was what Kaylee said about the roommates policy. Corbin was aware that the rent in the house was cheaper than others, probably even the cheapest around especially in these parts, but what he didn't expect was sharing a room. It was not that it bothered him, it was just something to get used to as sharing a room meant little privacy, not that he needed it but would mean he would have one person he would prefer not to get on the wrong side of, ideally he preferred to not get on anyone's wrong side though who could know.

"I guess you're new here too..", he stated as he announced himself, before asking the girl, "Name's Corbin, Corey for short....Do you want a hand?". His own suitcases were more depth than length so each did hold quite the amount, though Kaylee seemed to have numerous bags, so he could at least help her get settled in by giving her a hand, as he added a genuine smile with his offer to show that he meant what he said. His bags could wait, though he was curious what had brought her and all the other housemates he'd be living with to this place.....

Before officially seeing the house, Sophie had booked a few nights in an inn that wasn’t to far away. Her uncle had wired her some money to get started and she bought things she thought was needed. Food, guide of New York and an English to Italian dictionary, since she wasn’t always 100% on word pronunciation and there were some things she just didn’t know. She looked at time and almost yelped in excitement, “Bubby, are you ready to meet them?” whispering to her pug that snorted under the covers. Sophie had to keep it down, dogs weren’t allowed in the inn so she played Bubby off as an infant. “We have to go, make sure you don’t make a sound.” Usually she spoke to Bubby in Italian but was trying to teach herself to stop the habit for her new location.

Pulling off her old set of clothes, she changed into a casual white lace dress, cutting off only a few inches above the knee. The sleeves stop a little past her elbow and the collar is laced in black. On her legs, she wears beige colored above the knee socks with simple black flats with a pointed toe.

After, She grabbed the sheet off the bed; wrapped it around her in a sling, and stuffed Bubby inside. Covering her head, she packed everything else into her one suitcase, collecting both it and her sewing machine. Creeping out slowly, she scurried down the walkway to the flight of stairs that settled against the far end of the hall. And all within a minute, she jumped down the stairs, threw the key card to the receptionist and rushed out before anyone noticed her. Looking around the busy street, she smiled at the constant noise of clatter, a big change from her close, quite neighborhood. When she lived in Italy, everything around her was so convenient, never needing to go beyond a two-mile radius. Coming to her sense, she waved down an available cab and got inside, telling the older man the address; she sat back and looked out the window. It took only 23 minutes for them to turn on the street, Teller Avenue. Opening the the car door quickly, her smile was wide and she almost rushed to the house without paying the cab driver.

Being startled by his yell, she turned back around and paid him with the money she had left, “Mi dispiace- I’m so sorry.” She bowed her head slightly, and rushed back with her things in hand. Standing outside for a bit, she admired the beautiful structure of the house. It was surprisingly big from what she imagined but that’s always a better thing. Due to the weight, she set down her sewing machine and rested her arm. “Bubby, how about you sniff around for a bit?” Pulling the old pug out from the sling, she placed her down on the grass, and watched her explore the scents.

Sohpie looked up to see a few people settled at the door, saying things to each other in small words. On the phone, Ms. Smith had told her there were going to be other housemates, and she was excited to meet them all. Undoing the sling, she threw it over her shoulder and picked up Bubby. Taking a deep breath, she approached everyone that was by the front door, “Buon pomeriggio!” She covered her mouth and laugh slightly to herself, “Sorry, Good Afternoon! This is the house of Signorina Smith, right?” She looked around at the new faces, hoping to get an answer.

Brad Lovell
Image

A knock on the bedroom doorway arose Brad from his slumber. It was his brother, who smiled at the way Brad seemed to sprawl comfortable on his bed hugging a pillow. "Shouldn't you be heading to your new place?" he asked. Brad had moved in with his brother after college, and began interning with a photographer. They'd been living together because Brad wasn't earning money at first, until he became an assistant. For the most part they were perfectly fine living together, they had two other brothers and a sister, so sharing the space was never an issue. His apartment was large and roomy, with a lovely view of the city. Brad would stay if he could, but his brother, Simon, was having his girlfriend move in. Brad was probably the least arrogant to his family, but they all still saw his confidence. He was the pretty boy, and though many people dislike him for his attitude, his family seemed to love him for it. Which is maybe why his ego tripled as he went out into the world.
He let out a soft groan, and stretched a bit. His bags were already packed by the door, and glancing at the time he realized he'd be the later of all the house comers. But, being late is the best way to make your impression. He stood, stretching again and looking at himself in the mirror. His vanity always showed, for he couldn't walk past a mirror without glancing into it. He smiled at himself now, admiring his physique. He slipped on a casually classy outfit, a nice shirt and slacks. He strode out into the kitchen area, towing his bags behind. His brother sat at the round kitchen table, eating cereal and reading the newspaper. He bent the paper, angling lower so he could look at Brad, "Want breakfast before you go?" he offered. Brad leaned towards the counter, picking up an apple. He leaned on the refrigerator, and bit into it. "Yeah sure." he replied. His brother just laughed and shook his head, turning back to his article. The talked for a moment or two as he ate his apple, discussing photography and Brad's new living situation. His brother was slightly worried for him, knowing that many people have trouble dealing with him. Brad on the other hand, was not worried. He attacked everything he did with ease, and mostly in life everything he wanted just came to him. Some envy him, but that only makes him more self assured.
His brother and him had an interesting relationship. Considering Brad was the youngest of 5, his older siblings and his parents loved to baby him. He was always being cared for and protected, and rarely had to do anything himself. They were all very protective of him, though he didn't act as if he needed anyone but himself. He liked to believe he was independent, and self reliant, but that wasn't always true.
Getting a taxi wasn't hard for Brad, easily signalling one over. The driver placed his bags in the trunk as Brad slid into the back seat. He gave the man the address, and they were there shortly. He gave the driver a large tip, out of habit. As he approached the building, he observed its nice welcoming features. Not very modern like his previous home at his brother's. He strode up the walkway, and didn't even bother to knock and wait on the empty porch. He opened the door with ease and let out a breath as he entered. "I've arrived," he exclaimed with a careless smirk, glancing around at the others who stood inside. A few girls caught his eye, well all of them actually, and he was pretty pleased with the situation. He faced everyone, and introduced himself grandly. "Hello everyone, I'm Brad Lovell, but you may call me Brad." he didn't bother to hear an answer, turning to the closest girl to him, who happened to be a pretty redhead. His disregarded the boy who already seemed to be talking to her and asked, "And what would your name be, gorgeous?" His constant flirting may bother some, but it was obvious his personality would but a few heads. Just entering he'd probably already made a few dislike him, but he wasn't easily discouraged.

As Kaylee finished speaking she heard a slight footsteps behind her on the porch. Oh god. Could be a stalker that’s been creeping on me for god knows how long that I don’t know about. I’m thinking too much. Gahh. Kaylee thought to herself before turning around to find out whom the “stalker” was. They turned out to be one of her future housemates which was a very handsome muscular guy carrying a couple suitcases.

"I guess you're new here too. Name's Corbin, Corey for short....Do you want a hand?" He introduced himself offering help with her suitcases. Looking up towards the guy since his frame towered over her average height to “observe” whom her new housemate was going to be. From his tall towering height compared to hers and his muscular arms, Kaylee would be lying if she had said he wasn’t handsome. Trying her absolute best not to stutter in front of her new cute housemate she introduced herself, “Uhh, I-It’s great to meet you! I’m Kaylee Remington if you haven’t heard me earlier. Oh and please? As you can see I have absolutely no muscles at all!” Then lifted up her arm slightly to reveal her skinny arm with no hints of muscles at all laughing to herself slightly.

Although Kaylee had participated in almost every single extracurricular activity a person could think of, one thing that she refused to participate in for once were sports. Her ability to kick, throw, shoot, catch, or hit was nonexistent. She didn’t even need to learn from joining a team, Kaylee just knew from the moment she was born that she was never meant for sports. But, that didn’t mean she couldn’t watch and support her school’s teams from the bleachers.

“Buon pomeriggio!” A feminine voice shouted from a distance surprising Kaylee slightly in the process. Kaylee had recognized the language immediately as if she were Google, a well-known Internet search engine, with extremely fast Internet connection. Looking behind Corey, she saw a female figure walking up the porch greeting them with an adorable puppy. “Sorry, Good Afternoon! This is the house of Signorina Smith, right?”

“Hi! I’m guessing you’re another one of my future housemates. I’m Kaylee Remington! Unless my inferences have been horribly wrong, I think it is Ms. Smith’s house.” Kaylee greeted taking in the girl’s appearance and cute outfit. She looked down noticing the puppy in the girl’s hands. Fond memories of Kaylee volunteering at the vet when she was in high school popped into her head like fireworks. “Your puppy is the cutest thing on earth! What’s its name?” She asked kindly while gently rubbing the puppy’s head.

As Kaylee was gently rubbing the puppy’s soft fur smiling, a deep masculine loudly announced his presence making Kaylee stop and turn towards to the voice. “Hello everyone, I'm Brad Lovell, but you may call me Brad.” Her eyes were greeted by the another good looking male who was most likely another one of her new house mates. Stutter-ville here I come. I can deal with one good-looking guy but two. Oh joy. And ones that might possibly think highly of himself and could be one of those stereotypical players from high school. Nightmare come true I guess. Kaylee thought to herself while discreetly observing the new guy and deciding what to think of him, she glanced around to see everyone do the same.

Then Brad turned to her and flirted, "And what would your name be, gorgeous?" Kaylee knew best not judge him right away as a player but could already tell he was most defiantly going to be a handful. She took a deep breath silently hoping she wouldn’t stutter and smiled, “Well, thank you I suppose. But from that grand introduction and already flirting I think it’s best if you don’t know my name for now. Nice to meet you though Brad!” Then she grasped three handles of the nearest suitcases to her and walked into the house after calling out while rolling her r’s, “It’s gonna take me foreverrrrrr to carry all these suitcases in. I blame the fact I have so many hobbies and such.”

At the exact moment she took step into the house Kaylee felt extremely homesick and depressed. The house inside had a very comfortable and “homey” vibe to it. Which reminded her exactly of how used to be when she was fifteen with her two parents and (now dead) brother sitting at the fireplace drinking hot chocolate. With old sad memories whizzing around her head again for the third time, Kaylee was worried she would throw a rage fit the second she was alone.

My advice for girls who are waiting for their Prince Charming is to be open for anything. Be open to new experiences, be open to the idea that it may take longer than you want, but if you're open to meeting new people and new adventures, then love will come along~~Lily Collins

Karolyne heard a whole bunch of people arrive and got up. Deciding not to give away her "unique style" as Ms. Smith put it, Karolyne took off her dress as quickly as was possible with all the ruffles and strings. She managed to take it all off and put it in a box at the bottom of her cupboard. She got all her other dresses and packed them carefully into boxes as well. She would show them her real side at some point, but she didn't even know what they looked like at the moment. So, deciding to pretend to be normal, Karolyne picked out her outfit for the day, and skipped out of her room.

Karoylne skipped down the hall, going past an open door with a housemate inside. Instead of stopping, Karolyne sighted the stairs up ahead and grinned, sighting an opportunity to show off a little bit. Just a little. Karolyne stopped, and crouched slightly, like an olympic runner at the starting line. She took a breath, and started running. She sprinted quickly, the stairs coming closer with every speedy stride. Taking a leap and a risk, Karolyne jumped high, and landed on the banisters of the stairs, parasol in hand. Laughing, Karolyne slid down the banisters, her smooth bottomed sneakers sliding her smoothly down the oak wood railing, eventually however she stopped sliding just as she came into vision of the other 7 housemates. She assumed the other two would be here soon. She took a few running steps and jumped off the banister, landing on the ground safely. She stood there in front of the housemates with her legs apart, hands on her hips and a grin on her face. "Why hello there!"

Karolyne smiled and swung her parasol like a pendulum, grinning at her housemates, before realising some were having trouble getting in. "Oh! Let me help you with that!" She quickly went over to a ginger woman and took two of her suitcases. "Hello! Just helping with your luggage!" She smiled and heard Jason make a sarcastic remark before being hushed. Karolyne looked to the ginger woman's side and saw a few people who were all either talking to her or being talked to. She smiled. "You're quite a magnet for attraction aren't you?" She grinned at her, and taking the two suitcases in one hand, she gave the ginger a little hug. "Karolyne Teverr. Pleased to meet you." She smiled, and looked at a well built guy with assorted gym kit as she finished the last sentence. She winked and blew a kiss at him before leading the ginger woman into the house with her suitcases. She didn't really mean the kiss but he didn't know that. She walked in, her shorts showing off her athletic legs as she put the cases down, massaging her palm as she spoke with a grin to the ginger. "Tell me, what's your name miss ginger?"

Corbin Hyde

Corbin really did not know what to expect from this place, afterall this was all temporary till he was able to financially support himself, but how long that would take was in itself a big unknown. He was only just setting down his road with the opening of the new gym and like with all new businesses, they needed to develop themselves first before those within can start developing since the gym itself needs to get its name out there and also be able to get some members. Things take time when you want to make something good afterall, something that Corey remembers somebody telling him though cannot actually remember who said it.

All of his housemates in some form or another were developing also, preparing themselves for a greater change which they were working towards, but like everyone else you did not know what you expect. Where Corey was able to part with some of his stuff, by first impressions Kaylee had much that she kept close to her with the numerous bags she brought, such suggesting that she was a caring and emotional person, no doubt some memoribillia was contained within the bags and she certainly seemed cheerful too, despite not knowing what to expect from this place. "Uhh, I-It's great to meet you! I'm Kaylee Remington if you haven't heard me earlier. Oh and please? As you can see I have absolutely no muscles at all!", she commented.

Corey couldn't help but smile after she lifted her arm to show how 'strong' she was. "No worries, I'll help out", before turning round to the shout of another female as he turned round to see, next to the girl being a puppy as Kaylee then welcomed her. As she did so, Corey took he opportunity to open the door, using one of his suitcases to keep the door open to prepare for the influx of bags coming in, while another leaned against the wall so that he could carry Kaylee's bags first. Besides, like the saying goes, ladies go first, so it was the gentleman thing to do to help a lady and it was also one way to make a friend also. It was better to make friends anyway, making enemies was not on his to do list.

Returning outside, he was welcomed by another guy who interested himself as Brad, before he then turned to Kaylee, "And what would your name be, gorgeous", obviously flirting with her. He was certainly getting stuck in there, reminding himself of how he used to be when he was younger when he was pretty cocky and was pretty laid back, before he then went under a transistionla change when he found out about where he came from and instead of focused on his training and thinking about his future which so far had led him here. Corey couldn't help but hide a smirk when Kaylee rejected his flirt, "But from that grand introduction and already flirting I think it's best if you don't know my name for now", which was quite a comeback despite the compliment Brad gave her. He wasted no time in flirting of course so Brad certainly was the confident type though probably too confident. He probably should of gave the whole flirting a bit of time but everyone had their own way of course.

Just then, a female came out from within the house and created everyone, "Why hello there!" with her hands on her hips as she assisted Kaylee, so as Corey picked up two bags in one hand and two in the other, the girl who introduced herself as "Karolyne Teverr" had picked up two more so there was only two left to carry. He worked hard to be as strong as he was now so he wanted to be sure that he put his work to good use. Corey was not as confident in flirting as Brad was so Brad certainly won on their front it seemed, Corey himself preferred to merely take it easy and deal with whatever came in his way, which seemed to pay off when Karolyne winked and blew him a kiss. Being humble certainly paid off, so he then turned to Brad to give him a hand, "She'll be grateful if you can pick those last two bags for her". Whatever way he took it was his choice, but he was more for helping get Kaylee settled in since she seemed to be the one who brought the most.

After giving his suggestion, he then entered with Kaylee's four bags, noticing the roommates policy where he was partnered with some guy named Dale James so he was certainly curious what Dale was like, but he would find out soon he guesed. For now, he followed behind Kaylee and Karolyne to take the bags to Kaylee's room......

“Hi! I’m guessing you’re another one of my future housemates. I’m Kaylee Remington! Unless my inferences have been horribly wrong, I think it is Ms. Smith’s house.” Sophie sighed in relief, but she should have assumed with all the luggage at the doorway. “Your puppy is the cutest thing on earth! What’s its name?” Sophie looked down and almost forgot she had her, “Her name is Bubby, and she’s really a sweetheart. Oh and I’m-“ Another voice interrupted Sophie, and introduced himself as Brad Lovell. She turned smoothly toward her new housemate and gasped under her breath, “Bello.”

She waved to him slightly but stepped out of the way when he turned his focus onto Kaylee, getting a bit more personal. But the flame shot back with a rejected response, almost tossing the flirt out entirely. Sohpie laughed slightly but tried to hold it back, covering her face with Bubby. “It’s gonna take me foreverrrrrr to carry all these suitcases in. I blame the fact I have so many hobbies and such.” Another housemate chimed in with enthusiasm, and introduced herself as Karolyne Teverr. Sophie set bubby down to let her get a feel of the house, before hearing another possible housemate.

His voice was rather feminine, and a question followed after the name Jamie. Okay so, Ms. Smith, Kaylee, Brad, Karolyne, and Jamie. Sophie listed the housemates she had met, and wondered how many more were going to come. Then she remembered something that caught her eye, the paper attacked to the door. She walked out a bit to meet the new face, “Hello Jamie.” She pointed off to the door, “I believe we are assigned roommates, and the names are listed on the door.”

She walked up to it herself and read the other names off the list, then going back to stop on her own.

Sophie Mazzocco ~ Casey (Please BEHAVE Casey! Just because you're sharing your room, doesn't mean you have to be rude.)

“I wonder who Casey is.” She peered out beyond the house and around to get an overview. “Excuse me.” Walking a past Jamie to get to the luggage she left on the lawn. She gripped the handle of her sewing machine and pulled her back up, it seemed almost heavier since the last time she traveled with it. She sat it back down and just decided to take her only suitcase. Taking that in hand, she walked toward the front door, peeking behind the others to see if she could spot Bubby doing anything suspicious.

”I really hope you’re not a waste of time
”

That was very least expected. There she was settled on top of her bed with her sketch pad, almost completely in one of her zones. This zone was a particularly quiet bubble, where the rest of the world didn’t exist and she’d scribble away the images in her head, onto the stretched out pad of paper. But just before she reached the bridge between the beautiful world of art, and reality, two girls piled into the bedroom with suitcases. It alarmed her to the point her piece of charcoal broke off at the tip and the remaining pieces crumbled between her fingertips. She could almost feel frustration boil under her skin, but more so the air felt tight and she felt herself panic. There was no way she could sit calmly on top of her bed with loud noises and crowds in their small bedroom. She supposed one of them was her roommate and she knew the first impressions were everything, but she was going to have to make up for it later.

Dani closed her art book and stuffed it into one of her suitcases before she stood up. She still hand her gloves on and her hair hung loosely. She shook her head, unsure of what to say or what to do for that matter. A billion and one thoughts ran through her head, mostly which resulted in fear and lack of air. She felt like she wasn’t going to breathe and she wasn’t going to be surprised if she passed out right there.

“Excuse me.” Dani muttered, her voice not even clear to herself. She pushed passed the girls, having caught their outfits and already feeling like she didn’t belong. She almost felt like Alice, from that story Alice in Wonderland, how the poor girl was shrunk to such a tiny little thing. Dani was that tiny thing.

She finally pushed herself through the door way and looked over her shoulder before fixing her attention on what’s in front of her.

More like who was in front of her. She hadn’t had the chance to look at him directly or admire his features, for the poor girl had collided into an unknown man. Her legs tangled up into themselves as if she tried to stop and she felt the both of them move. It all happened in slow motion, at least, that’s what it felt like for her. Her hand rose to grab onto something, but only air was available. Her body moved and fell on top of the male’s, her wrist caught in between their bodies and the floorboards. She felt a tug and a pull inside her wrist as it bent in a way that shouldn’t be possible. Her voice called out, not of surprise but of pain and her eyes squeezed shut.

Dani felt the pain rush from her wrist to her elbow and back down again. It throbbed with fury as her eyes remained tightly closed. She opened her eyes carefully and her gaze had settled on a pair of two beautifully sharp blue eyes. Her green olives blinked slightly and she used her free hand to gently push herself off his body, her hand absent-mindedly touching his stomach. Were those..muscles? Riley, off. She thought, shaking her head and carefully standing.

Suitcases were on the floor, and made it difficult for the girl to get herself off the boy. Her wrist was already bruising and she felt the pain boiling underneath her skin. “I am s-so sorry.” She stuttered, unable to hide the pain in her voice. “Excuse me.”

And with that, she hurried for the front door. She pushed passed people, ignoring comments or concerns. She needed to get out, she needed air.

She took off down the sidewalk, Casey watched as she stopped at the corner. Dani found an empty lot, one without people and clutched her wrist to her chest. She wasn't sure if that man was following her, or if he stayed behind.

Kaylee Remington

Image

Flashbacks that were once flying like awful crows above a dead animal zapped away like lightning when a voice shook her awake. "Why hello there!" Twisting around in a complete 360 spin, feeling a ballerina at the moment, she spotted a slim athletic lady grinning at her.

“Oh! Let me help you with that! Hello! Just helping with your luggage!” She offered then took a quick glance around her. “You're quite a magnet for attraction aren't you?” Feeling her cheeks redden slightly she shook her head. “Oh, I don’t know about that
.” Kaylee responded sheepishly while following the girl to her newfound room. Before she even came to the house she hadn’t even thought to think how her new room would be like. Just moments away from where she’ll be staying at for a while (that could take a turn for the worst although the house was similar to her old) began worrying her slightly. Once she took foot into her new room, Kaylee felt like this was defiantly a brilliant impulsive move she had done.

Placing her only suitcase she now had in her hand besides her messenger bag on her cushion bed closest toward that was available, the Karolyne Teverr girl spoke up, "Tell me, what's your name miss ginger?" Looking down at her suitcase, Kaylee mentally face palmed herself for forgetting to introduce herself to someone that helped her carrying her belongings.

“Oh gosh, silly me! I’m Kaylee Remington. Nice to meet you! I think I like you a lot for the few minutes I’ve met you.” After turning around to greet Karolyne, she spotted a black haired girl in slightly rock star-ish clothing in the background.”Oh hello there! I’m Kay~” Kaylee introduced herself to the girl, but before she could the girl politely muttered, “Excuse me.” and dismissed herself from the room.

One thing that Kaylee knew she was the best at, was comforting others. So when the girl walked out of the room quickly with the look of discomfort, Kaylee's first response was to go after her. But not knowing how the girl would react, Kaylee felt like the best decision was to get to know her before doing anything first. Though, the event still itched the back of Kaylee's mind. “Oh dear. I hope I didn’t offend her in any sort of way.” Staring at the opened door from which the girl left through, Kaylee’s entire face scrunched in concern.

Then looking at the suitcases around her, Kaylee realized that she didn't have time to lose. That would have taken me forever to bring up here. I should start packing before it more people arrive or something though. I hope that girl was alright. Argh. So much stuff to do.

“Thank you Karolyne once again for helping. You too Casey! I am extremely grateful for you guys’ help. I must start packing now!” She jokingly grinned at her cheesy typical line to say when thanking someone. Then turned back to her first suitcase and began unpacking her clothes.

Feeling slight pang of guilt for having two people to carry a bunch of her luggage, Kaylee decided she should make it up to them. Baking cookies sounded awfully good to her and brought nice warm sunshine and rainbow childhood memories. Deciding on the cookies, Kaylee spoke up loudly afraid that they have left already. “I’ll make it up to you guys! Thank you once again!!”Then turning back to her suitcase she sighed. Oh dear. Cookies will defiantly be my goal in the meantime.

Karolyne smiled at Kaylee, waved, and turned on her heels to head out the door. She dashed down the hallway, and slid down the banisters again. Just as she landed her feet on the floor again, she heard yelps of pain, and saw the girl in black and the muscular man she'd seen earlier on top of each other, with the girl's wrist obviously now dislocated. Karolyne watched the girl rush out the door, and looked concernedly at Ms Smith. "Do you want me to get the ice and first aid kit or do you want me to chase after her?" Ms Smith smiled softly and started to head out the door. "I think I'd best talk to her dear. You all start getting your things done, I've just put a variety of cookies on the table, I wasn't sure what everyone liked!" Ms Smith had a feeling she knew where Riley was. As she started to leave the front lawn, Karolyne and her mother, who was enjoying a cup of tea, started getting ice and preparing the first aid kit with help from Jason to find everything. Karolyne had dealt with dislocations before. They weren't that painful to her at least, and she was reluctant to help, but supposed she'd best pull her weight.

Ms Smith
Ms Smith strolled down the sidewalk pretty fast for an old lady, heading towards the old lot her grandkids played in from time to time. It's where many people ran into it even if they didn't know the neighborhood. Something about it soothed the soul. She'd guessed right. It had been a long shot, but it had worked. Ms Smith came up to her slowly, and smiled at her. "Are you alright dear? I saw that nasty dislocation, and thought I'd best ask if you were okay." She came closer and held out her soft old hand. "Can I have a look at it? I was a nurse once dear."

(OOC: Took control of Ms. Smith for this post, glad to see people posting again!)

Corbin Hyde

Corey could remember the days when he was like Brad Lovell, being so confident in his ways, flirting with any pretty girl that happened to be in his sight. Afterall, such was only natural for a guy envisioning himself as the 'Alpha Male', to dominate other males while also being able to have first pickings of food which also included first pickings of the girls, usually those who the beta males usually want. Such was the impression that Brad gave, arriving in his smart casual clothing which in other words means dressing to impress, followed by his grand announcement of himself as one all must know and one must revere to, in addition to his immediately personal introduction to Kaylee who he had been talking to which was clearly showing his superiority of course.

To compare his younger self with Brad, Brad was probably more 'Alpha Male', as despite his younger self being more relaxed, he was more a charmer than a flirter and he didn't really do much flirting when he was dating the head cheerleader. Afterall it was only natural for a jock and cheerleader to hook up, but when you were no longer the leading jock then the leading cheerleader don't want to stick around, high school cliques and all that. Brad seemed to retain the whole 'alpha' thing though, even though the act was all a facade, such that he learned when he dropped the act, though clearly Brad liked to be center of attention, as he did have an effect on the italian girl who had arrived, "Bello", before his and her attention turned to a guy with a feminine voice with neon green trousers and a pink t-shirt. Certainly looked like Brad had some competition in the attention department to wear such loud clothing as the italian girl addressed him about the roommates policy. Well his name was Jamie', such that he had made clear so he wouldn't be his roommate, so he wondered who this 'Dale' was.

Realising the girls had gone inside, he followed the sounds of their voices as he entered the house with Kaylee's bags, two in each hand, not wishing to delay any longer. Afterall, quicker everyone had their things in, quicker they could get to know each other. Certainly were a mixed bunch from who he had met so far; Kaylee, Karolyne, Brad, that italian girl who he had not spoken to yet, and then there was Jamie too who was probably gay from his choice of colours and his voice though he wouldn't pass sentence just yet, or judge him as everyone had a right to be who they want to be.

Lost in his thought, he soon found himself losing balance and not so long after that, found himself crashing down towards the floor, the cause being the girl that seemed to have come out of no where. In order to break his fall, he lifted his head up slightly to prevent injury to his head, while his arms toughened up to prepare for the inevitable landing that he could not avoid now. Hearing the girl in pain however clearly sent a message that something was wrong, as he looked with concern at her as their eyes met, "Are you alright?", he asked.

The girl of course was more concerned with getting off him which he could understand and be grateful for so that he could stretch his back which had taken the most from the fall. He would of thought that he would of been able to break the girl's fall but obviously something was wrong. "I am s-so sorry...Excuse me", leaving before he could say another word as he initially worked on getting up and stretching his back, before quickly finishing off what he started by grabbing the bags again and dropping them off to Kaylee's room as Karolyne appeared to get ice and a first aid kit for the girl. Corey however wanted to make sure she was alright personally.

"Your bags Kaylee, Brad should be bringing in your final two, I think...", offering a friendly smile before making his departure. With the bags now with Kaylee, Corey then set off for his next task at hand which was to check up on the girl. He would of checked first but as Ms Smith went out and as Kaylee was waiting for her bags, he had to do one thing or the other. Though with his rush outside, he collided into none other than Brad Lovell, instantly using his right hand on Brad's shoulder whilst leaning back as to prevent another fall. "Sorry", offering a thin smile following to show he was sorry, before moving away from him before Jamie gets any idea.

Looking around, he couldn't see her in the front garden, though looking beyond the garden, his eyes located her on the sidewalk with Ms Smith tending to her. Maybe she was in good hands now and probably didn't need his help. Afterall, he wasn't exactly a doctor and no doubt Ms Smith had more experience than him when it came to dealing with bumps and scraps and all that jazz. Nevertheless, Corey felt obligated to at least check to see if she was alright and if there was anything he could do, as he walked towards her and Ms Smith as Ms Smith checked her over. Waiting for the opportune moment as not to interrupt, Corey then asked, "You alright?", which clearly was the wrong thing to say when it was clear she was not alright, though such was Corey to state the obvious and at least show that he was concerned. "Should of looked where I was going. I'm sorry", though thinking about it, he wasn't sure whose fault it was but both had a part because he could of been more alert and stopped it as he did with Brad.

Dani was almost too surprised to see Mrs. Smith had followed her to the corner, while the young girl cradled her wrist in her free hand. It throbbed and it felt like a sprang. Yes, it was rather sweet for the older woman to offer, but she didn’t want to show the skin beneath the gloves. The burns would look too suspicious and she didn’t feel like having a whole layout of her life right there on the corner, and it wasn’t the right time for sharing, or for show and tell. But what excuse could she possibly use without sounding so rude? Dani shook her head slightly, her hair falling across her eyes for a moment.

“No. I mean, no it’s okay.” Dani said, moving her wrist behind her slightly. “Not a problem.” Dani forced a smile but her fake smile quickly faded as a voice was heard off in the distance. Her eyes fixed on the boy from before, the one she had crashed into
the one with the eyes. Her eyes met his and she could almost feel the warmth flushing to her cheeks. Dani cleared her throat and shook her head, though she meant to say she was fine.

“I’m a klutz, my fault.” She quickly said, keeping her hand behind her. “The wrist is fine. I’m fine, we’re all fine.” She said, having a bit of an edge to her voice, of course, she hadn’t meant it. It sounded almost rude of her and she quickly regretted it. But what was done was done.

Dani looked back at the boy, her eyes unable to look at him directly, for fear she would forget the words. Finally, her eyes settled on Mrs. Smith and she brushed her free hand against the back of her neck.
“Really
just fine.” She wanted Mrs. Smith to return to the house, not wanting to give the woman the wrong idea. The rope scars of her wrist would be somewhat
alarming to most and she could only imagine how the Misses would take it.

He was hardly phased by her slight rejection of him, and merely brushed it off with her being 'hard to get'. For a moment though, he stayed silent and observed those around him. One might compare him to a lion, stalking out his prey. He wasn't stupid, and he'd realized you could figure out a lot about people just by watching them.
High school was never hard for him, he breezed through a given social life as well as his classes. Everyone liked him; well at least in his mind. Whether they were bowing at his feet, blushing at his presence, or doing his dirty work, they looked up to him. Maybe it was because they knew who he was, and he'd built up the reputation all his life. Here was a new playing field, and he was just breaking in his cleats.
He did as whatshisface suggested, and picked up the other two suitcases of whatshername. She was pretty, but not worthy of remembering her name yet.
He walked in silence behind the two, still observing and deep in thought. Mostly about his photography, and what exploring he'd be doing now that he was completely on his own-save for the trust fund he'd gained when he turned of age. That seemed to help with any and all bills for now.
He muffled a chuckle as whatshisface slammed into some other girl. He raised an eyebrow but said nothing.
As whatshisface passed Brad heading back out to the others, Brad entered the room behind whatshername. He placed her other two bags beside the ones that were already there. He stayed for a moment, but only to ask her name. "What'd you say your name was, love?" he smirked charmingly.

As for rp, was waiting to see if Ms Smith would respond but can assume she returned due to Casey's post while we have another interaction between Kaylee/Brad, so will have implied control of Ms Smith in this, just to get the interaction between Corey/Dani underway)

Jocks certainly had their stereotypical image, but it did not mean that all jocks were the same. Jocks afterall were not the patient type for starters, such that Corey clearly was as he waited for his time to speak and not wishing to interrupt, such that other jocks would have no problem entering as they would feel they were more important. Patience was not the only thing, but also the way they act around the girls, such that jocks would continuously wish to impress, being more of an impresser rather than constant flirting and charming like the womaniser type which Brad clearly was. Corey was more concerned due to his background and would apologise if he felt he was in the wrong rather than dismissing like others. He was clearly different, as was the girl from first impressions as she could of swore and mouthed him off for getting in her way from her appearance but she was nothing like that...or was she....

"I'm a klutz, my fault...The wrist is fine. I'm fine, we're all fine". If that wasn't an 'awkward' moment, Corey wasn't sure what was, so he done what he felt was best, silence. "Really...just fine", she replied to Ms Smith as she rubbed the back of her neck with one held with one missing, no doubt hiding. Breaking the silence was a sound of a young girl, "Grandmother! Granny! Mickle got out of his cage again! I think he's loose!........Granny?", as he turned to face the girl who looked innocent, but with the smile and her arms not in sight suggested otherwise. Not only that, but the roommates note suggested she was naughty by Ms Smith's comment. Nevertheless, she seemed to pull Ms Smith away from the 'awkward' situation and over to her granddaughter who shared the house along with all the housemates and her brother Jason. Ms Smith was certainly an extraordinary lady to accept so many housemates to help them all out ontop of looking after her grandchildren.

Despite Ms Smith leaving the scene, the 'awkward' moment still lingered in the air, though Corey decided to break the air and return it back to the topic that had brought the three of them together, "You didn't sound fine when you left", he pointed out. It was not his intention to stir things up again, or he would of mentioned it while Ms Smith was there, as it was clear that saying she was fine when it didn't sound fine was her preferring to keep to herself, such that he found himself doing more when he gave up his jock-lifestyle and losing quite a bit of his reputation in the process with him no longer being the Captain. It was a good thing though, seeing as his girlfriend only desired him for his title rather than who he was. It was wrong. "Accidents happen and we both didn't look where we were going, so we're both klutz, but if your hurting then maybe you want to go to the doctors to be on the safe side if you need to, I won't tell anyone that you have if you prefer", he suggested, trying to be a voice of reason.

Surprisingly enough, Dani felt relieved when Mrs. Smith left to tend to her granddaughter. Or at least, that is what she assumed by the term ‘granny’. Dani watched as the older woman disappeared into the house and allowed herself to take a deep breath as silence, not just silence but awkward silence hung above where she stood. She swallowed down her pride and looked to the boy she had collapsed into and her eyes finally settled on his own. She wanted to explode, but she was too tired of insulting people, in fact, she was too tired of everything at that moment.

He had mentioned the hospital and she took no time in shaking her head. “No.” She said simply, clearing her throat quietly. “Doctors and I do not mesh well.” Dani lifted her hand in front of her and carefully bent it back, craning her hand slightly. She grimaced and released an uneven breath of air. It must have been just a sprang, since she was able to move it and the bruising was a bit alarming but it wasn’t anything compared to her burns.

Dani, as a rebel, should have yelled at him for following her, but a part of her was intrigued. Why didn’t he just brush her off like most guys would? Compared to other girls, she seemed to just be a waste of space.

“I’d say did it hurt when you fell, but it’d seem like some cheesy bologna pick up line.” Was that humor? Certainly. If it was funny, she didn’t know, it had escaped her lips without her thinking twice about it. “Are you okay?”

Dani fixed her face on his finally, her eyes no longer looking pained, but somewhat intrigued. The rebel would have allowed her eyes to trail over the entirety of his form, but she wouldn’t allow herself to go that far. Though his eyes had caught her attention quite a few times.
