She caught Luna's lingering gaze on Demetri, and glanced at her [Caroluna]. Obviously, she suspected Demetri of something, but what exactly she suspected her of was unclear to Thes. She didn't really know this girl yet, but her fear was clear. Fear of what, she knew not. Perhaps of the DPA, perhaps of the family themselves. Honestly, that wouldn't surprise Thes at all. They've been chased for years and years on end, attracting the DPA left and right. But still. Traitors wouldn't do.
Demetri heard Avory's plan and had to admit there were a lot more solid ideas in that one. She didn't feel any jealousy whatsoever though. If anything, she was relieved his plan would be used instead of hers. That way when things went south she wouldn't be the one to point fingers at. In fact, it sounded as though they wouldn't need her at all other than to hijack the truck. Maybe she could get that done and hightail it out of here and away from these people that have already caused her so much trouble.
She looked around and saw Luna looking at her when she said everyone had to stick to the plan, and her gaze quickly feel downward. It couldn't be so obvious that she didn't plan on staying. She was sure that they wouldn't need her, even if she felt differently. Then again, she had never been with so many different kinds of psychics at the same time. One of them might be able to pick up on her fear. She really doubted this plan would work. She actually doubted she would be able to help the girl at all now. What was the point in doing any of this when she knew that their was no way they could come out of this on top. The psychics were not meant to win, they were meant to run. It was their way of life. Never had she done as much as she had today for another person. If she went back for this girl it would only show her attachment for this family, which she had learned to never make with anybody a long while ago.
But she owed a debt to Luna, if not for her she would have been sitting on that porch, waiting for them to pick her up without so much as a whimper coming from her. She needed to do this. It had to be done. Her gaze rose back to Caroluna and she gave her a single nod, hoping she would understand. If she did this her slate would be clean again, and she would never have to do another thing like this again. She would never feel guilty for what she didn't do.
"Spread out and go unnoticed." Luna advised as she took a deep breath.
"Jake, you'll drive us back there, about half way and then shut off the engine so they won't know we've arrived. You'll need to stay by the DPA vehicle. We don't know what shape we'll find the others in, so be prepared to use your healing powers."
"If anything goes wrong, distract. Both Demetri and Avory, use your telekinesis to throw them off and Jake use your Echoing as a follow up." Luna said, her heart was beating faster at the realization that they were running into this with everything they had and had everything to lose.
[Sorry this post was so short, I have a bit of writer's block going on]
Isabelle jerked her hand out of her bag. It was her insulin bottles. Her blood sugar must be so low right now. Isabelle didn't tell many people that she is a type 1 diabetic. It isn't a big concern unless she ran out of her insulin bottles or had super low or high blood sugar. Isabelle fished a bottle out of her bag. She had exactly 12 left, and dozens of needles too. So hopefully she wouldn't run out in a while.
Isabelle put her hand out in front of her and it shook uncontrollably, a sign that her blood sugar was low. walking a little away from the group, she pulled a syringe from her bag and poked it into the lid of the bottle, pulled the plunger, and then injected the needle into herself, pushing out on the plunger. Carefully placing the bottle in her bag and the used syringe in a side pouch of her backpack which already contained several used syringes. She wasn't supposed to reuse them, but if she ever ran out and got desperate, she might have to so she keeps them with her.
Isabelle then got a candy bar out of her bag and greedily ate it, already feeling a little less shaky. She turned back to the group, hoping nobody had noticed what she had been doing. Walking back to them, she began to grow irritable and impatient. "So what next? What do we do with Rose?" she asked, nodding to the girl.
(to help get this rolling again, Operation: Shadowrun will be in this whole post. If someone has any complaints or changes for their character's actions, let me know)
The prisoner transport truck came rolling up, the driver wearing the uniform and sunglasses. The truck's back opened up to load the prisoner in, when two arrows came out of the trees and hit two HVPRs. Damion looked around, but the ground beneath his feet exploding, launching debris towards the other agents and knocking him back into a wall. The truck itself shook, as if someone was trying to tear it apart using Telekinesis. The truck quickly went by Rose, and 2 HVPRs loaded the entire car into the truck (it was built to carry a whole large family of psychics, and they did not put benches inside for comfort.
At this point, another gunship was aproaching, but an explosion close to it threw it off course lightly, though it did manage to stay in the air. Damion looked around, and then yelled "Find him! Avory can't keep this up forever!". As the truck began to leave, a portion of the. Road exploded in front of it to make a large hole, but the driver maneuvered around it. Damion picked up his radio, and told the driver to keep going, and to not stop for anything.
As the truck drove off, Damion realized something. "Driver, report in. What is your identification and status?"
Damion didn't need to wait for an answer. He realized what his family had done. He didn't say anything, just a look saying "Get them. Don't let them escape".
Damion and the Agents just got played.
