"Well, first off let's just say things aren't as they seem," Samantha began. Vee might as well know what was actually going on, considering the amount she's been through today, thought Samantha. "The image painted in your heads, a normal world with no worries, is entirely false. You lived on this earth not knowing there's an entire population of demons living right underneath you. With demons come demon hunters, what your friend Krisiana is. I'm no expert, but as far as I know demons and demon hunters have been fighting since the beginning of time. This may come as a shock, but Chase & I are demons." said Samantha clearly. She waited to see some sort of emotion, reaction on Vee's face. This was all so new to her, Samantha wondered how she'd take it. Would she accept it, and be prepared to stand against what was out there, or worse, would she be scared, and run away from them like a normal human being would do? Samantha watched the girl closely, anticipating what her next actions would be.

Chase kept quiet as Samantha spoke. He didn't really want Samantha blabbing away, but she did anyway. As if revealing who they were would change anything, or make the situation make any more sense. He knew humans, and as soon as you revealed yourself there were 2 outcomes: Total mind blown - which lead to denial, confusion, paranoia and sometimes insanity - or they came out of it shaken but strong. 85 % was the normal percentage of the first one, 15% of the second outcome. This may come as a shock, but Chase & I are demons. "Not entirely true Sam..." He mumbled to himself, not wanting to go down that road. He hated remembering the past, remembering how his own miserable life had gone, how his constant repeat of life kept his head spinning. He wouldn't think about it, not here, not now.

Lauwee paused for a second and thought. After a few seconds of thinking she said back, "You know, you seem kind of familiar. Have you been to the same clothing store as me? No, on second thought I don't shop at old man shops." Tilting her head up she grew frustrated that she couldn't remember who he was. Tapping her foot and blinking fast, suddenly a thought came to her mind.

"You're Zila-, Zipa-, Zaiz-, Ziazman! One of the... Demon Generals if I'm correct. What number are you, three? You can go on about your business. I don't have time to waste on small fry like you. I also seem to have made you lose your pink haired girlfriend. Pity, she looked like a keeper." Lauwee turned around and started walking away when she remembered the other hunters.

"Say have you seen any of my associates? A.k.a. Demon Hunters? I think they should have to sweep up this place. I only came for the show."

Ahiphis snorted in indignity.
“Me, Ziazman? That cowardly sorcerer? You know less than you would to think you know. I am Ahiphis; I am far more dangerous than that voodoo priest! Taste my steel!” He lunged at her with magically enhanced reflexes.
“As for you hunter scum, this place is infested with them. Time I started cutting the numbers down, you shall suffice for starters! You shall pay dearly for this interruption!”

Deep thudding footsteps echoed around the castle. Dracken was approaching. Karl stood in front of his throne, now clad in his armour, Ziazman on one side, Vendraal on the other. The double doors at the end of the room swung open and crashed loudly against the stone walls to reveal a huge monster of a demon, Dracken himself, the number one general. Dracken is the most sought after demon of them all by the hunters; he holds the incredible record of being the only demon never to have been successfully hunted or forced back to hell. His record makes many hunters actively peruse him with dreams to be known as the first to defeat the colossal monster.
“I am here.” Dracken growled. His voice resonated deeply like the rumbling of thunder.
“Excellent. Ziazman, make the preparations. Vendraal, make ready to leave now; you will be the vanguard as usual. Dracken, Ziazman and myself will go down and I shall sort this mess out personally.”
“Master are you sure this is wise?” Asked Ziazman. “All for the sake of the amulet?”
“That amulet. I must have it, and the girl too.” Karl snapped back, “I can stand failure no longer, already Ahiphis is distracted and I grow ever weary and angry with every passing moment I do not have what I desire!”
“Waste no more time. Prepare for the attack.” Dracken growled.
“As you wish.” Ziazman said as he scurried off to gather provisions. Vendraal prepared to shift back into the human realm, and it would probably be the last time he would ever do so.

Lauwee dodged out of the way, but not without being dealt a deep gash in her left arm. Quickly using her other arm she placed pressure on it to keep from bleeding.

Smirking she said, "I was going to let you off easy, I guess we'll have to do this the hard way." Lauwee was completely doubtful she could win against this one. She wasn't nearly as fast and he might be able to evade her shots. After regaining her self confidence though, all this meant was another plaque to put on her wall. To her advantage she had already loaded several shotgun shells and they were ready to be fired on a moments notice.

"This is just a cats' scratch, just need to lick it off and I'll be fine." Losing the use of an arm was always a bother. The gun was heavy enough with two and using one was no challenge, she just lost a few minutes of durability.

Run and gun is not the correct fighting style with Ahiphis, speed is his trump card on first glance. I just have to test out his strength and intelligence.

Reaching into her bag she pulled out a little explosive, used like a firecracker but with blindingly bright flashes. Whipping out her handy lighter, one click started a flame and she held under the fume. As soon as it was lit she put away the lighter and called out, "How about a birthday party to kick this off. I brought the candles!"

Lobbing the lit explosive into the air, then with a pro move sunglasses were unfolded and placed over her eyes. The explosive blew up and with the help of the sun produced several bright flashes of light. Lauwee then proceeded to run away as fast as she could.

Ahiphis grunted with dissatisfaction as she managed to avoid mortal injury. Firmly grasped by rage he turned to perform another slash but was stopped by the sight of the explosive. She lit it and threw it, Ahiphis meant to cut it in half but it exploded before he got the chance. In his momentary blindness he lost sight of her.
“Arrh! Come out and fight you coward! All you hunter scum are the same!” He shouted in rage.

Vendraal came through the portal, landing in front of a building. The truck from the Seer’s Orb was parked outside.
“The friend and the two traitors. Karl means for me to die, he knows I can’t defeat them both alone. I’ll prioritise the human girl, maybe that way I can cripple the original target.” He muttered to himself under his breath.
He scaled the wall and used his blade as a crowbar, entering on the top floor of the building. In the darkness he accidentally kicked a load of objects off a table, creating much noise. He swore in his native language and quickly entered the room, taking up position behind the door should anyone enter.

Samantha was waiting on Vee's reaction, but Chase began, "Not entirely true Sam...". What does he not like about being a demon, shouldn't he be proud to be who he is? "You know what Chase, this is exactly why we parted ways the first time, you're ashamed of who you are," said Samantha. She was going to continue, but she heard a loud crash upstairs. Samantha shot Chase a look. "We need to go," she whispered. Quickly she got up, a bit limping and grabbed Vee's hand and made their way to the door. "Chase, let's go!" Samantha shouted, opened the door, and kicked it open with her good leg. Just as she did so, she heard loud footsteps making it's way downstairs.

You know what Chase, this is exactly why we parted ways the first time, you're ashamed of who you are Chase snarled at her remark, biting back a quick retort. He slowly calmed himself down, and after she told him that they should get going, he muttered angerly. "If you knew what I meant, you wouldn't be so quick to judge!" He reached down to his boots and unhooked Misery and Company, spinning the familiar handguns around his index finger. The only thing he could consider the same as him: Always changing, always the same.

Samantha kicked down the door and Chase sighed. Not the smartest thing when something was inside the house. He could sense it though, a Demon General. And by the terrible entrance, one of the weaker ones. It didn't matter, all generals that went after him ended the same: Beaten senseless or confused as to where he went. Chase never stayed in one place for very long, because the longer he did the more likely that Karl would send Ziazman or, help his soul, Dracken. That guy was a major jerk back when Slithixen was younger. He always came off cocky, but he wasn't: He was just correct.

Lauwee pulled out her cell phone and hit the redial button. Bringing it up to her ear she heard it ring half once then the mocking voice, "You do realize what time it is don't you?"

"You do realize that I'm running away from a Demon General don't you?" she said in the same tone of voice as him, "Ahiphis seemed like he was doing something important and then I stepped in and he's currently blinded thanks to my quick thinking. Now I'm running and I don't know anything about this town. Just tell me where to go."

Small noises hinting to typing could be heard, "Maybe you should try hiding in the woods. There's not much else, you could just keep running though."

"You're not giving me anything that can keep me alive. He's a lot faster than me, running can only get me so far before he can catch up. If there's no place else than I'd rather take the woods." Hanging up she redirected herself into the trees of the local forest. In here she could try to cause enough confusion.
