Personality: Ryo is a pretty easy going guy. He doesn't yell at his subordinates even when scolding them. He is normally in a good mood and can be very understanding. When he is angry, he normally takes it out on a punching bag and there is a sign of irritation in his voice.
Background: Ryo's father was a yakuza lieutenant who fell for a policewoman. Even though there was conflict in the relationship it worked out. Ryo got his easy going attitude from his father and a bit altruism from his mother. Originally from the Kansai-region, Ryo moved elsewhere to find work but ended up joining the yakuza. He quickly rose until he had enough support to make his own clan. His old clan admired his levelheaded and intelligent personality. Now Minamicho is his turf and his clan makes a good living off of their businesses. He is unmarried, however has a lover/girlfriend who runs the cabaret theater. While he does money lending, he isn't ruthless. He at least gives his clients a chance of a better shot at life by offering employment so they can pay off their debts.
