-Aaron

As the bell rang for class to end, Aaron jumped up and was the first one out of class. Trig had been a long, slow-moving class. He could tell already he'd have to force himself to attend everyday; and it was only the first day. As he made his way back to Building 10 to retrieve his History book, he cursed himself for not grabbing it before Trig. He saw a group of friends he used to chill with back in his Junior year. He didn't want to be late, and lose out on seats in the back so instead of catching up with them as he usually would, he walked on, nodding in their direction.

AS he made it to his locker, there were, as usual, the nerds parked right next to his, "decorating" his or her locker for the year. He muttered "idiots" as he brushed by them and to his locker, opening it on the first try and grabbing his History Book. [i]WOOH, Mr. Castelli,[i] he screamed silently in his head as he hurriedly made his way to the classroom, just before the first bell rang, leaving a few available seats in the back. When he arrived, he realized he wasn't late like usual. In fact, there were only a few people already seated. He noticed a fairly attractive red head already eated in the back. He made his way back there, sitting in a seat not to far from her, then pulled out his phone, checked the time, and waited for everyone else to arrive.

Noah ~

Making sure Tara was following right behind him, Noah made his way across the campus once again, History book under his arm. "Yo, you're sitting with me," he said lazily to her, turning his head so he can glance at his new found "friend".

"Okay," was her only reply, and he could barely hear her soft voice. Rolling his eyes, Noah realized that it was going to take some time before this chick would bust out of her so-called shell. Smirking to himself, he quickly pulled her close to him, wrapping his free arm around her waist.

"This class is gonna rock," he said to her, biting his lip and flipping his hair out of his eyes.

"Is the teacher nice...?"

"Who gives a shit, we're gonna mess with him, anyway." With that being said, Noah quickly led his Chemistry partner into building 10, then the rest of the way to Mr. Castelli's class. Walking in and taking in the scene, Noah quickly spotted Aaron in the back, and made his way over to him, sitting right in front of his best friend and pointing to the seat next to him. "You sit there," he told Tara, and she quickly followed his instructions, sinking down in the desk and placing her stuff down quietly. Turning to Aaron, Noah smirked. "That's my Chemistry partner," he announced.

Looking around the class, he saw yet another red head sitting not far from them. How many damned chicks were going crazy on the red hair dye in this fuckin' place...why can't they go all out with the blonde... he thought to himself, feeling a tad dissapointed. Maybe there'd be an attractive, petite blonde in the next class, but he doubted it.

Aaron watched as Noah walked in, arm around a girl with bright red hair, quite like the girl sitting near him. He glanced at her, saw she was looking, and smiled. Then focused all of his attention back onto Noah. It's the first day, and ALREADY he has a girl wrapped around him..this is going to be a long year..

He heard Noah telling the girl where to sit, and she did just that. Then he looked back at Aaron. "That's my Chemistry partner," he announced with a smirk on his face. Aaron put on his best 'I'm happy for you' smirk, hiding how he truly felt quite well. "Damn. The first day and already your stealing girls hearts..." he looked back up as Mr. Castelli began to drone on and on about shit that Aaron could care less about. To pass the time by, he began doodling an image of how HE imagined Mr. Castelli.

He passed the note up to Noah, to see what he thought, as he tried to hide any laughter inside of him.

Noah ~

As class started and Mr. Castelli began his idiotic lecture about the year, Noah rolled his eyes and looked at Tara, who seemed to be paying perfect attention. "Hey," he whispered over to her, then when he got her attention, he continued, "What are you doing after school?"

"I don't know," she whispered back while still looking towards the front, and Noah assumed she was concerned about getting in trouble. Him, not caring, put on his best 'I'm a nice guy' smile, and turned so he was facing her.

"How about you and me hang out."

Her response was a slight nod, and he watched as her cheeks turned a nice shade of pink. More than anything, he loved intimidating a girl, especially the shy ones. They weren't shy after one night spent with him. He then felt someone tap his back, and turned to see Aaron passing him a folded paper, probably some note. Turning back in his seat and opening it, he couldn't help but laugh quietly, and he quickly composed himself before Mr. Castelli can comment. As he stared down at the paper, he quickly added some tentacles to the monster that was supposed to be the teacher, and drew bald devil-looking babies in the background devouring his legs.

Noah had always been an artist, but he didn't care much for the hobby, it was simply something to pass the time. Yet he still took the time to shade everything just right, make sure that each tenticle had as much detail as the next one.

Audrey ~

History was as boring as she expected, Mr. Castelli was one of those typical Type-A teachers who insisted on having everything his way. He broke down everything from how he wanted them to label their papers, to how he would grade their tests, even to how he insisted on their essays to be typed Size 12 font, Double spaced, with 2 inch margins all around.

With this class and Calculus, not to mention the Spanish society, when would she have time for any fun? Mall time with her girls, beach days until it would be too cold. Everything would have to be put on hold. She noticed Aaron and Noah in the back passing notes to one another, probably about Mr. Castelli. Tapping her pencil against the desk, she counted down the minutes until dismissal.

As Mr. Castelli continued to drone on about this that, and the other Aaron just zoned out and focused his eyes on the tattoos on Noah's neck.. He heard him asking the girl if she was busy after school. His heart dropped to the ground, but he would never show it; he would just continue on like nothing had happened. He could see the red-headed girl stealing a look at him, which made him smirk silently to himself. He eventually turned sideways, and winked at her, then looked back over Noah's shoulder and saw the tentacles he was drawing. Mr. Castelli gave him a dirty look, which he just brushed off. He was used to teachers not liking him, especially when he was in a class with Noah.

As the bell rang, he silently got up, then looked at Noah, smirking. "Great portrait of Mr. Castelli, I'm thinking we should hang it up in his classroom," he laughed as he took back the note and shoved it into his back pocket, then made his way across the hall where his locker awaited him.

As Noah was flirting with his 'girl of the day', the same red headed girl was at her locker only three lockers to the left of him. She had looked over and said hey in a sweet, shy voice. Usually, he would ignore it, and go on about his day, but, as he looked at Noah, he decided to hell with it. He smiled over at the girl, who had announced that her name was Callie. "Callie? That's a beautiful name," he mused. "I'm Aaron. Are you new? I haven't seen you around here.."

He placed his History book back into his locker, along with some papers he had received. He then looked at Noah, shrugged, and began to walk towards the drama room- "Always," he said to him in a dazed out tone.

Noah ~

Rolling his eyes as he saw Aaron talking to the other red headed girl from History, Noah walked ahead of him, ignoring his statement and making his way down the sidewalk through the courtyard, headed for the drama room which was right by Building 8. Since he had nothing to carry, he shoved his hands in his jean pockets, nodding ever so often at people who he knew, and even at some people he didn't know.

Following a couple of people into the drama room, he noticed that there were a couple of empty seats in the back, and both of the couches in the room were unoccupied. This was the best thing about Drama, Ms. Scott made it feel like it was more of a hang-out room instead of a classroom where they were supposed to be learning things. Paintings lined the bright red walls, and Noah cringed at the color. It had always reminded him pig's blood, and the way he knew what that looked like was from dissection a couple years back. Pushing the thought away, Noah quickly made his way to the black couch underneath a painting of flying monkeys, and sunk down, crossing his arms over his chest.

"That I do," he had said to Callie before making his way into the drama class. She had asked him what class he had after this. "Study hall, as a matter of fact." He said in an unreadable tone, then spotted Noah, and walked towards the black couch. He remembered this couch from the three years before. He had always loved having Drama. Because, all they did was fuck around. He sat next to him, then looked over. "Yo, you alright?" he said before shoving him playfully, smirking, then looking around from Callie, to everyone else in the room.

"Tara, Sarah, what the fuck is the difference," he said in a matter-of-factly tone as Noah smacked him, and pressed himself up against Aaron. The want to hold him was beginning to become too much. He shrugged and crossed his arms over his chest, then looked over at Callie. "Yeah, well, I don't have time to worry about bitches being all over me, like you do." The he laughed an emotionless laugh. It wasn't that there was anything wrong with Callie, and if the circumstances had been any different, maybe it would have made a difference; but Aaron had fallen hard. For the person he knew he'd never have.

"Oh, by the way, we should hang out after school," Noah had said. Aaron groaned. "Ugh.. Do we have too?" He smirked. "But of course, Babe." He always joked with Noah and called him shit like this. He could expect the next sentence out of Noah's mouth to have the words 'faggot' and 'homo'. The thought of that made him smile.[/size]

As the bell rang, Aaron watched as Noah stood up lazily, then pulled him to his feet as well. He'd almost fallen asleep, he realized as he stood there, trying to make that dizzy feeling that came with being sleep reside. It didn't.

As they walked towards study hall, he was damned pumped at the thought of just him and Noah hanging out. Although he could only imagine how worse it would make things for him, he felt it was worth it. When they walked into study hall, he looked around at all of the familar faces. He knew the majority of the people: He saw CJ, Adrianna, Callie, and a few of his former friends. They weren't really friends if you never talked, right?

He felt bad as he watched Callie sit there alone. He couldn't exactly figure out why. But, since there were two available seats, he plopped into one at her table, hoping Noah would make his way to the one next to him. There was no reason why him and Callie couldn't be friends. She seemed cool enough, he decided. And, it wasn't like it would bother NOAH any..

Noah ~

Being one of the last people to walk into Study Hall, there wasn't a great variety of seats available in the room, and he didn't recognize anyone that he talked to in previous years. Looking around a second time, he saw Aaron already sitting down. And with Callie, too. "You have GOT to be fucking with me," he growled to himself, then rolled his eyes and made his way in swiftly, right past Aaron and Callie's table, and sat in the back with a group of people whom he would have never sat with if his life depended on it. Fucking bunch of stupid ass fucking nerds... he thought to himself, once again cracking his knuckles and looking around.

Pulling out his iPhone, he scrolled through his messages, hoping that maybe Tara texted him, but remembering her attitude in class, he knew she would never pull out her phone in school, even if there was a shooting going on. Throwing it on the table with a thud, he then crossed his arms over his chest and leaned back, prepared to die of boredum for another forty minutes.

As Aaron sat and waited for Noah to arrive, he was extremely surprised as Noah walked right passed him, as if he wasn't even there and sat in the back with a group of people Aaron never thought he would see him with. "What the fuck?!" he muttered to himself. He heard Callie asking why he wasn't sitting with Noah. His gaze was stuck on Noah; the more he tried to stop thinking about him the more he did. He didn't understand why he was always like this. Perhaps jealousy.. the thought had ran through his mind time and time again. But WHY. Why would he be jealous by him trying to make a friend?

He looked at Callie and shrugged. "Nope, no girlfriend, and I have NO clue.." he bit his lip and was about to make his way over to Noah just as the teacher walked in. "Fuck," he muttered allowed, causing the teacher to stare him down. Oh, how lovely.. He frowned at Noah, then looked at his shoes for the next forty minutes, hoping they would fly by, but not expecting them too.

Noah ~

Noah simply watched as the teacher walked into the class, then went over to his desk lazily and slumped down in his chair, then took out a newspaper and began reading. It was obvious that he did not care what they were going to do, so he didn't have to worry about getting his phone taken away. Picking it back up, he began scrolling through his contacts, pretending to be busy. He noticed one of the kids next to him take out a Calculus book and some paper, then a calculator and a number two pencil, perfectly sharpened. Fucking...kill...me.

He then started tapping the eraser of the pencil against the hard wood of the table, calculating God knows what in that mind of his. Noah clenched his jaw, hearing the tapping intensified by ten in his mind. Turning his head towards the kid, hoping he'd get the message, Noah began to tap the desk himself, only with his index finger. He sighed, and when the kid didn't stop, he burst out, "CAN YOU PLEASE stop tapping your fucking pencil?! God damn!"

Getting looks from several people, teacher included, Noah shook his head and looked down, pretending that he didn't say anything. All he wanted was to get out of here and find Tara, let Aaron go spend time with his new found friend.

Aaron checked his phone every so often, checking the time and waiting for the bell to ring. He wanted to spend the rest of his day with Noah, as pissed as he looked right now. Glancing over at him, he could tell something was wrong. He thought of texting him, but figured it was helpless. He'd just talk to him after the bell. Looking back at Callie, he replied "Yeah, I don't know." He was pissed. Completley pissed. He wanted nothing more than to leave right then.

As soon as the bell rang for school to end, he watched several kids run out the door. The teacher had seemed like a bit of a hardass; or maybe it was just his mood at the moment. He nodded at Callie slightly, before standing up and throwing his bag over his shoulder, then making his way towards Noah.

Audrey ~

Calculus wasn't the dreaded nightmare that Audrey thought it would be, Ms. Reine had stated that she would hold tutoring for anyone who was struggling, and there was always a way to improve grades by doing extra creidt projects. As soon as the bell rung, signaling the end of the day, Audrey was the first out the door and towards front of the school. She figured CJ would walk by and from there, they could head towards a shop to get beverages or something of the sort. Realizing she had her bathing suit in her bag, she smiled to herself, counting down the seconds until she could refresh herself in her pool.

Noah ~

Noah stood up as the bell rang, stuffing his phone in his pocket and dusting his hands off. He noticed Callie as she took off out the door, then smirked to himself, flipping his brown strands of hair out of his face. As Aaron approached him, Noah simply looked at him, mumbling "Come on," quietly before walking out the door along with everyone else, heading towards the back exit of the building nonchalantly.

CJ -
CJ heard the bell ring, so he got up and ran out of the room. He ran to his locker, and saw Audrey already there. He pulled her in for a hug, and smiled. "Excited?" He asked. He put all his books in his locker, and walked outside. Side by side with Audrey. "So.. how was your day?" He asked, looking down at her. As soon as they got outside, and got halfway down the sidewalk, he stopped her. "I'm glad, that I did, what I did today." He said, pushing her hair out of her face, as the wind blew it.

Callie-
Callie grabbed her bag, and stood up. Looking down, in embaressment, she walked out to the front double doors. She slowly made her way through, seeing a couple, who looked so cute together, standing on the sidewalk, she smiled and walked by them, She walked around the back of the school, towards an alley. As soon as she got to the alley, she walked across the street, to her house. If someone saw where I lived, they will think i'm really poor.. Realizing how close she lived to the school, in her really old house. It wasn't the best looking house, But it surely didn't look like an old, abandoned building, either. As soon as she walked in the door, she went to the bedroom, and looked out the back window. She could see herschool, and all the people, still waiting to get off of the property, to do something stupid. Then she spotted Noah, and Aaron, and half smiled.

"Ahh, my day was okay...LONG, but okay," Aubrey answered to CJ's question, then returned his hug, a smile on her face. As he told her that he was glad about what he'd accomplished today, Audrey nodded, feeling the exact same way. She took his hand and led him off campus, then down the sidewalk in front of several other kids. "Wanna go get a beverage? Then my house," she gushed, smiling over at him and reaching up to kiss his cheek sweetly.

Noah ~

Making a face at Aaron's comment, Noah turned to look at him as they walked down the street, quickly entering his quiet neighborhood. "She's not a bitch, but she is a pushover. She hasn't spoken more than twenty words, that girl," he shook his head, then continued walking, both hands shoved in his pockets. Kicking pebbles on the way to his place, Noah glanced back at Aaron. "See you've made a friend today, good for you, man," he said nonchalantly, although there was more feeling in that sentence than one might imagine.

It aggravated him that he was even thinking about it. Aaron had the right to make friends just like Noah did. Why should he get upset, it's not like he owned the kid. He didn't want to ponder on the thoughts, because where would that bring him? They both met fairly decent looking females, so what was the problem?

He didn't answer his own question.

Noah ~

"My type of chick apperantly doesn't exist in this school," Noah responded to Aaron, then when he stopped and asked him why he didn't sit with him during Study Hall, Noah felt his stomach suddenly twist all the way around, probably down to the size of a golf ball. Turning so that he was facing him, he looked at his best friend, trying to find some sort of answer. "Why would I want to sit next to some little girl wearing ten pounds of makeup. Da fuck I look like," he responded, then stopped himself, shrugging his shoulders. "You know me better than that."

The statement sounded idiotic, really, how was sitting next to a bunch of Calculus nerds any different from sitting next to a girl who overdosed on red hair dye? Turning his head to the side and looking off, Noah waved himself off. "Whatever, sorry I tripped. I'll sit with you tomorrow, with or without Callie there. She's...cute. Nice job, man," he finished, then continued walking the way he was going. The sound of distant thunder was the only soundtrack the rest of the way to his place.

Audrey ~

Feeling both her lips and face feel hot as CJ kissed her briefly, Audrey smiled when she looked up at him, trying not to burst out in giggles. She allowed him to lead her to the cafe on the corner, then looked up as thunder sounded in the sky. Even if the rain wasn't finished for the day, that wouldn't stop the two from swimming, when did it ever before?

Once they reached the shop and walked to the front, Audrey ordered herself a nice red Fanta slushee, then patiently waited as it was being prepared. Once both her and CJ got their drinks, she followed him to a table outside, dropping her bag on the table and taking a sip of the cold beverage, smiling as she felt her tongue tingle. "What do ya think of Noah and Aaron? Psychology is gonna be fun this year, I can already tell," she laughed, shaking her head.

Callie -

Callie decided to go on a walk, so she walked out of her room, down the steps, and outside. Once she got outside, she heard the thunder booming in the distance. She walked up the ally, and passed the school, seeing some kids that she saw today in the different classes. She smiled, as she walked by them. Once she got to the square, she looked around, trying to find a place to go. She walked to a nearby cafe, nearly bumping into someone, she giggled. She saw the couple that she had walked passed earlier. She smiled at them, and waved. She walked in, and got herself a green apple slusie. She payed the lady who was working, and walked outside, to a table.

CJ-
CJ laughed as she asked about Noah and Aaron. "They don't seem like the nicest people.." He said, shrugging. "In study hall, the Aaron kid blew off that new girl.. I felt really bad, because he just like left her.. and didn't even talk to her." As he flipped his hair out of his eyes, he saw the new girl. She waved. He smiled, and nodded. "That girl."

When Noah responded by saying that his type of chick apperantly didn't exist at this school, a sweep of relief brushed over him, but at the same time, another knot seemed to be tying itself in his stomach. Sure, RIGHT NOW there isn't.. he muttered in his mind, but continues looking at his bestfriend, waiting for him to continue. He was surprised himself with his answer. He knew it was bullshit. He had always flirted with girls who wore loads and loads of make-up, just look at his ex; but he didn't remind him of that.

His stomach started tying knots again as Noah had praised him on what a "good job" he had done in talking to a cute girl, and that he would sit with him next time, regardless if she was there or not. Aaron felt his heart drop ten feet into the ground. He could not believe he was commenting on how she LOOKED, after being so damn shady about her. "You're fucking kidding me, right?" He looked at Noah like he was high. Hell, at this moment, he really hoped he would have been. Did he even realize that he'd blown her off for HIM? That he was only trying to make a friend, but instead, made an enemy. He was sick to his stomach. He wanted to turn and walk the other way, just to get away from all of this once and for all.

He turned around so he was no longer facing his bestfriend, and walked the rest of the way to his house in silence, his feet not allowing to go otherwise.

Audrey ~

Turning her head in the direction CJ was looking, Audrey spotted the girl that he was talking about. "Well, I'll agree with ya there, they're not the nicest, but they weren't mean to us..."

Cocking her head to the side, Audrey kept her gaze on the girl, and a frown appeared on her face. Making an arm gesture towards her, she smiled, hoping that she would come over and sit with them. She had a soft spot for people who were alone, because she'd been blown off multiple times in the past, and the pain wasn't fun to experience, to say the least. "Who knows, maybe Aaron was mad or something," Audrey then said to CJ, shrugging her shoulders loosely.

Noah ~

Frowning at Aaron's statement, Noah turned around, facing his best friend and sensing the hurt radiating out of him. It was also obvious in his eyes, just begging to be questioned. He wasn't sure if he should step closer or remain where he was, so he went with his instinct and stayed in his spot. He knew he had said the wrong thing, especially commenting on Callie's looks. It took no rocket scientist to figure out that the statement clearly set something off.

"...I'm sorry," he started, looking down at the ground, resting his eyes on the marks that tires left behind in the concrete. "It did bother me that you sat with Callie today. It did bother me that you talked to her, gave her attention. I mean, aren't you supposed to be...mine?"

Immediately after saying the sentence, Noah felt the heat rush up to his cheeks, causing his face to feel as if he layed out in the sun far too long. He couldn't look at Aaron, so instead he chose to look to the side, wishing he could take back the words he'd just said. All he could do was wait for a response.

Audrey ~

As the girl came and sat down, Audrey smiled over at her, moving some of the hair out of her face to get a good look at the newcomer. She was pretty, bright red hair and big, bright eyes. Why would anyone want to blow her off? Still, she wouldn't judge, since she didn't know both the sides of the story. As she introduced herself as Callie, Audrey replied "That's a pretty name."

Looking over at CJ, she shrugged her shoulers, then looked back at her. "How do you like the school so far? It must suck to spend Senior year in a whole new environment..."

Noah ~

All Noah could do was to listen to Aaron as he went on and on, obviously getting a lot of things off of his chest. Noah wasn't sure what to say, and it suddenly felt like he had lost his voice box, leaving him mute. He felt the heat diminish from his cheeks, and looked back down at the ground, wishing that he could suddenly seep into the concrete and remain there, away from problems like this. Aaron's statement about Tara hadn't been fair, but he knew better than to argue about it at a time like this. It had never been his intention to get with the girl, let alone make Aaron jealous by walking with her to History. Thinking about it now, the gesture may have been sketchy, but with Noah's impulsive thinking, of course he didn't plan ahead, and he sure as hell didn't see this confrontation coming.

Finally looking up at his best friend, Noah frowned, feeling his throat closing on him. "Can we just leave Tara out of this? She has nothing to do with this...she didn't even want to talk to me had I not dragged her with me. Honestly Aaron," he paused, searching for more words. "...I don't KNOW how to express my feelings to you, because you know that I am not one to get emotional. With anyone. But maybe it's time that I learned how to do so." With that being said, Noah closed the space between him and Aaron and leaned down, gripping his best friend's face in his hands gently, then brought their lips together in a gentle yet protective manner, his mind suddenly going blank of any 'What If's.'

Audrey ~

As CJ got up to take a phone call, Aubrey made a face, then looked back at Callie, frowning at her statement. "I know what you mean, I didn't talk to many today, either...the only new people I've talked to were Noah and Aaron...and I assume you kinda met them already?" Scrunching up her face, she hoped that Callie wasn't offended by what Aaron did. But then again, she couldn't change how Callie felt, so there was no use in trying to get around the topic.

As CJ came back and said something about a party, Audrey looked up at him, squinting her eyes in the sun. "Where's it at?" she asked. "Who even invited?"

Noah ~

Noah was surprised at how easy kissing Aaron came to him, like it was an absolutely natural thing to do, something that SHOULD have been done so much sooner. All his 'I'm Straight' talk seemed to have flown out the window, and no regrets came to his mind, which surprised even him. The thought that Aaron would pull away from him quickly vanished when he realized his best friend's arms were now around Noah's waist, and he was kissing him back, like he'd been waiting for this moment since Jesus's resurrection. In all honesty, Noah knew he had been.

It felt like hours had passed before Noah finally pulled away from Aaron, just enough so that he could look into the boy's eyes. Smiling slightly while still holding Aaron's face gently in his hands, Noah once again leaned down, this time kissing him briefly but just as sweetly as before. "I may have messed up earlier today, but I can make it up to you...for a long time to come."
