For a guy whoâs a genius in mathematics and sciences, Abel can act like a serious dumbass at times. Nobodyâs sure how it came to be, but the guy just doesnât seem to understand social cues. You could say that his academic intelligence heavily outweighs his emotional intelligence. His anxiety can sometimes make him a little skittish and hesitant at times, but most find him quite 'adorable' (which he hates to be called). With so much pressure on his shoulders, he's prone to fits of closure and isolation, but he'll always led a helping hand when someone needs it.
Some hide their humility behind brash commentary and wicked glares, but Abel is rather open. For all those who believe that inherently nice guys don't exist, you've obviously never met Abel Uriah Graham because he's literally a sweetheart. A rather intelligent and anxious sweetheart, but a sweetheart nonetheless. He's the type you can trust on a night of drinking to make sure that everyone gets home because he's rarely the one, unless forced by friends, to get drunk, the one who's fiscally responsible, and he's also just a sensitive person. In both respects where, firstly, he really takes critiques and shots against his person hard, but also that he's really attuned to the needs of other people. A pushover at times, sure, and someone who can be used by others depending on how alone he is in the situation. But a truly kind heart, at the end of the day.
ENHANCED INTELLECT | From a young age Abel was always considered to be a 'young genius' but as he grew into his father's mind it has only enhanced his intellect. For one, Abel possesses exceptional mental capacity and concentration, mental calculations, memorization, analyzation, reading skills, and intuition. The boy is essentially a walking encyclopedia. All it takes is for him to simply read something before it is cataloged and stored into his mind. Thoughts, processes, and equations take him only a matter of minutes. He knows nearly 1,000 different languages and is currently working on Belarusian and Ayapaneco. The only downside of his ability is near chronic headaches that plague him nearly everyday.
CHRONO VISION | His most complex, and perhaps weakest ability is being able to see the past, present, and future. For one, Abel has no control whatsoever over this ability and his visions are often difficult to even decipher. Secondly, sometimes he can't even tell what time period he's seeing it from; whether it already happened, is happening, or will happen. A full vision is often accompanied by total paralysis and loss of consciousness, and he's left hungover when he comes out of it. A fragment sometimes only last a few seconds, and are flashes of images and simply give him headaches. The only thing he's been able to somewhat configure about this ability is that he can somewhat control it by touching something related to what he wants to see, as it almost always triggers a vision.
THOUGHTOGRAPHY | His favorite, and most useful ability (in his eyes) is his ability to imprint marks/writing onto surfaces without the need of tools, this includes text, pictures, paintings, etc. Abel is able to scribe and draw images or text from his mind onto solid surfaces; most commonly paper. It makes his life a hell of a lot easier and even helps with his visions as he's able to immediately scribe what he saw. And writing grocery lists has never been easier.
WEAKNESSES | Abe can sometimes be a bit of a jackass when he's stuck in a particularly stressful situation, as he is standoffish under extreme pressure. Having so much pressure on his shoulders has made him a bit insecure and doubtful of his own abilities. Abel can sometimes get overly worked up and anxious in stressful situations. Having the mind of a genius he sometimes never thinks before he speaks and become blunt and harsh. Not to mention he's a terrible perfectionist, over critical of himself and the things around him, and pushes himself to the brink to make things perfect. Usually he failing to live up to his own crushing expectations.
FEARS | Even though Abel is pretty self-sufficient, he's terrified he will spend his whole life being alone. Dying young specifically has always been a fear of his, seeing as how his life is rather dangerous already. It's just an unfortunate end to what could've been.
The majority of Abel's live was rather average. He had a loving family, a dog and two cats, they had family brunch every Thursday, and his mother and grandparents attended all of his piano recitals and soccer games. It was a little repetitive and boring, but Abel didn't mind at all, it was a comfortable life and that's all that really mattered to him. That is, until he met Thoth.
On his thirteenth birthday, Abel was curious to see a man come into the backyard party, even more curious to see the shocked look on his mother's face. They had a hushed and angry conversation in which his mother finally gave in ushering the boy inside and setting him down on the couch. The man's hair was an unkept, but in a charming way and he had a large pair of spectacles that emphasized his unusually blue eyes. He explained in a rather strenuous and intellectual manner that he was indeed, Abel's father.
The God, being sapiosexual himself, had been attracted to Nehal's impressive intellect, as well as her strong will and imperious nature. Through shared conversation, and thoughtful discussions, affection bloomed between the two and Nehal fell pregnant. Following this, Thoth revealed the truth about himself. However, rather than being terrified, Nehal was intrigued. Of course, she knew the relationship couldn't last but she promised to keep and protect the child with her life. Strangely, learning that his father was a God, wasn't odd to Abel. He simply just adapted and accepted the idea. The two nearly went on for hours in conversation before he sadly proclaimed he had to leave. He gifted Abel with a watch, simplistic yet elegant and informed his mother of Icarus. As, Thoth wanted only the best education for his son. Nehal reluctantly agreed and Abel has been at the Academy ever since.
