The story of two J-Pop groups as they find fame and fortune.

Introduction

Attention To All Roleplayers!

To prevent the potential neglect of your poor idols, I have an important announcement to make! Although this RP is set in Japan, roleplayers do not have to limit themselves to Japanese customs. For example, if you aren't an expert on the food there, you don't have to have your character always eating ramen, meat buns, and drinking sake (because that's all you know). If this were to happen, your poor "handsome" J-Pop hunk is going to turn into a malnourished, washed up, dead-beat singer who goes around beating people's cars with umbrellas’ (we all know it can happen). Go ahead and feed your poor characters some American food, they're starving by now anyways XP. After all, it's the models you're not supposed to feed... Now... on with the roleplay.

Um... well after I lay down some rules... though it seems people don't read these anyway. This is a semi-literate roleplay. I know what you're thinking, "An idol roleplay? Semi-literate? Why? It's not like literate people join idol roleplays." That's because no one really bothers to stress LITERATE ROLEPLAY... LIT... LIT... LITERATE. If you use proper punctuation, type in third person/past tense. Don't confuse me with your hot mess of spelling errors and typos... then you're good to go. If you are reading this, please include the expression [Tacos FTW] into your character sheets. This is why I'm asking for a roleplay example. Nothing too big, just about seven sentences or more that let me know that you've mastered the fundamentals of elementary school education... that are listed above :D. There are more rules... but that's what the rules list is for, so go read that after you finish reading this introduction. Oh, and don't forget. J-Pop idols don't make the music, they just make it sound good. So sorry guitar players. Although you're character might play guitar, there isn't going to be too much of that in this RP. Just some singing awesomeness. Now! On with the superstar dom!

DOM DOM DOM DOM DOOOOOOOOMMMM!

Now here's more about the RP!

First Scandal...

There are a lot of firsts when it comes to the showbiz world. The means by which you achieve them, how fast it takes to get there, or if they will make or break your career all depends on the style in which they are done.. and you've got style. If you didn't, then you wouldn't be in one of the up and coming groups on the J-Pop scene with the most potential to make it big. But don't let superstardom get to your head. There are lows that come with highs. The world of showbiz isn't only glamour, it has a dark side to it as well.

KST Forever is signed with Vivid Recording Studios. Smile Pop is signed with Adder Agency. All the singers were scouted and auditioned through a talent search. They are not yet big, but already sworn enemies from the get go. As they both make their appearance into the spotlight, it is not yet decided who will come out on top. Both groups are just now brainstorming ideas for their first singles. They live in separate apartments with their fellow group members. Each morning their managers come by and give their assignments for the day... It is from this humble beginning that their stories start...

These are some steps that your group might take to rise in fame:

1. CD Cover Photoshoot
2. First Outdoor Concert (Promote CD)
3. First Radio Interview
4. First Single Release
5. First Television Interview
6. First Music Video
7. Release Second Single
8. Magazine Shoot and Feature
9. First Scandal
10. First Large-Scale Concert (Reveal 3rd Song)
11. Whatever happens from there on out :D.

It was early morning. The city was alive below, despite it only being 7:00 a.m.. But, eh. It was Tokyo. The city was always alive. On the couch there was a lean and petite girl in her early twenties. Her long blonde hair fanned out over the cushions and tumbled over the edge. The television was still on, a video game (classic like Mario), was still flickering on its screen.

"Naaauuuu," the girl hummed in her sleep, as she tossed from side to side. It was funny how music was always on her mind. Though, she was sleeping pretty deeply. One could tell why. The living room was a complete mess, like always after a Friday night. Five girls, clubs, drinks (the good stuff), sugar (some of that other good stuff), and video games... put them together and you've got one good time on your hands. And one slow... slow morning...

"Hehehe," she smiled, obviously having a good dream. Her red t-shirt was a complete wrinkled mess and her black shorts and striped socks were tangled up in the blankets she had kicked all over the place.

"RISE AND SHINE SUNSHINES!" Some obnoxious yelling could be heard outside the apartment door, followed by an ear shattering parade of knocks and banging.

Nao jumped up off the couch like she was under fire (okay, more like rolled off of the couch). "HEH! HEH!" She grabbed at the covers she had taken down with her and clutched them close to her chest, dazed and confused. "Who... who is it?" She called hesitantly.

"THE BOOGYWOMAN!"

"Oh no!" She shouted, and pulled the blankets closer.

"Nao... It's just Kairo."

"OH NO!"

"LET ME IN!"

"It's too early!"

"I have donuts."

Kairo could hear the doorlocks being undone. The small blonde's heartshaped face peaked through the crack. "... Okay..."

Like she owned the place (which she did), Kairo strutted into the kitchen and plopped the grocery bag down on the counter. "Okay! Wakey, wakey everyone!"

6:00 am; "Kozen-sama, I'm afraid I really must depart-mm!" Ren's sentance was cut off due to a rather possesive mouth entrapping his own. 'Kozen-sama' was beginning to unbutton his shirt all over again. Oh honestly, he had just showered! Ren had to go wake up his boy band and make sure they got ready, and fed, and teeth brushed, and out the door for rehearsal. Honestly it was like taking care of children at times, and being a half an hour late did not make that task any easier.

"You can be a half an hour late..." Kozen Hiro, the Record dealer he was negotiating with, let go of his lips long enough to demand that they have a quicky. Ren's expression was of course, one of complete blushing submission, really he could of been a fantastic actor if he tried...

Ren turned off his thoughts an let himself slip into ecstacy as Kozen's hand trailed down his torso.
2 HOUR LATER

Ren turned the key to the huge appartment door that SMILE POP made their home in. He payed no mind to the condition of the apartment as he walked in and set breakfast down on the table, he had bought it since he was slightly late. No use in wasting time cooking. He had a button up maroon shirt tucked into black pin striped dress pants, the picture of propriety.

You are probably wondering why it is that Ren has not called out for the boys to wake up, or done something loud to demand their presence. Well for one Ren never yelled, and secondly they were already up. All three of them plopped on the couch. They were staring at him, wondering how he could be late when he was such an anal stickler to them about punctuality.

Ren cleared his throat and leaned on the counter, "I was meeting with someone very important this morning..."

..Donuts.. BAM, Maaka was awake, it was like some sort of activation code for girls or something. Oh and the Bam was for Maaka's head hitting the bottom of the coffee table, why was she under their? Last she remembered she was dancing on top of it...who cared, their were better things to worry about, such as donuts.

Maaka crawled out, she had a tank and very short boxers on. Her hair looked like someone had beat her with a bat, but who cared? Again, the donuts topped everything on the importance scale. She walked over like a zombie, eyes half open, and she grabbed the donut box and sat down with it, no not at a table or anything, just there on the floor. She opened the container and grabbed a chocolate frosting one. Her only good morning was a low grunt.

Image Akemi was sprawled out on the bathroom floor, the cold tile not so much soothing against her skin. She wasn't so much sleep, but then again she wasn't quite awake. She was simple in that "in between" stage, where you can hear all your surrounding, but your mind sort of played those not so funny tricks on you. Her surroundings seemed to be played in her dream, which she felt was somewhat a reality.

"Uggh.. donuts.. do you really think that mixes with a hang over.." she said in a low, groaning voice.

She was merely speaking to the four walls that surrounded her. She listened for a response, but could only hear the sound of doors opening and closing, footsteps and a few familiar voices. Her eyelids began to slowly flutter open, her image of the world topsy turvy. It didn't even look so much like a bathroom in her eyes. Blinking a few times, her green eyes skimmed the ceiling, and then she lifted her head up, to stare to her feet. Great.. another shoe, missing -she thought to herself, as she pulled her weight off the floor, sitting upwards and leaning against the wall. She really didn't want to be up right now. With a headache this bad, who really did? But it crossed her mind, its always important when Kairo brings donuts. She smirked, pulling herself to her feet, her back hunched with grogginess as she stumped out the bathroom and towards the kitchen.

Her eyes immediately fell upon Maaka, who was crawling from under the coffee table.. again for the 3rd time this month. It brought a slight smile, seeing she wasn't the only one suffering from having way too much fun. She pushed herself on the counter, sitting as her legs dangled over. She was wearing a cut off sweatshirt, hanging off her shoulders and a pair of plain jean shorts. Of course, you can forget the er.. shoe, which was pretty lonely down there. Her eyes were on the box of donuts, which she refused to eat. She would only chuck it up in an hour or so. Instead, she reached in her pocket, grabbing a cigarette and lighter. Putting the bent up cigarette in her mouth, she lit it with her lighter, looking over Nao and then Kairo before inhaling and exhaling the toxins. Ahhh..

Yuuki had woken up quite some time ago; long before their manager even bothered to try and wake them up. He just couldn't sleep in while everyone else was awake because it had something to do with paranoia and trust issues or something. Instead when he woke up he would lie in bed for an hour and then get up and make his way over to the couch in the living room where he would turn on the TV, lower the volume and watch the static. It was an odd ritual but Yuuki knew that if someone stared at static enough there were things to see. Obviously he always changed the channel when he heard the others moving about.

So when Ren came through the front door with breakfast in hand he just watched silently from the chair he had relocated too; he had problems sitting next to people first thing in the morning. He was always worried about if they brushed their teeth and washed their face; he really didn't want to smell anything bad first thing in the day. As breakfast hit the table Yuuki immediately got up so that he could set to work making some coffee to go with that breakfast. The man loved his coffee. At times he knew other people did too.

"Someone important?" he mused as he started to fill the coffee pot with water. "Must have had some important stuff to talk about to make you late." He set the coffee maker down and plugged it in before he sent what could be associated with a suggestive glance towards Ren; his purple eyes amused before he went back to making the best drink of the morning. Caffeine was an adults best friend once they got out of high school and started life.

Kaori stared at Ren in mild surprise as he walked through the door. Smile Pop’s manager was never late – not if he could help it.

Kaori was sitting on the edge of the couch beside Yuuki and Metsuki. He was dressed in his usual pair of skinny jeans and a hoodie, but that was about all the progress he had made since he woke up. His hair was still a disheveled blonde mess. It stuck up at odd angles all around his head, and Kaori was fairly sure he looked like some sort of human pineapple.

I'll just give it a good brush before leaving, he thought. Kaori's hair was strange in the fact that he barely had to do anything for it to look good. His brother had always been jealous.

Presently, Kaori was attempting to pat down his sleep-ridden hair, his eyes traveling from Ren’s face to the box of food he had just placed on the table. Kaori felt his stomach rumble with hunger. However, as he was about to wander over and examine breakfast more closely, Ren started talking. So, he settled back into his seat and waited for their manager to continue.

Mornings always grated on his nerves. The raven-haired boy clutched his mug of steaming coffee, sniffing it incredulously before shaking his head. Whoever made the coffee in the morning didn't know one thing about it, it was always too strong, too bitter or watery. Plopping a few cubes of sugar into the black mixture, he eyed it carefully before leaning back in his chair with a sigh. Every morning was the same, his manager was already rummaging through the cupboards. Surprisingly, they lived together in the near emasculate hotel/apartment suite. They were currently on tour, well, he was anyway. BLAST off, that was what he'd decided to call whatever his one-man singing sensation could be called, there were already posters plastered all over the city with his handsome face and strange, foreign clothes. People had already following him—the paparazzi was his only guess. It didn't bother him, but the buzzing rumours were annoying. Some media had even pegged him as a prostitute on the side of his singing career; they were getting out of hand but he let his manager, Dacha Miruzaki, deal with it.

Shaking the crinkled newspaper back to life, his dark eyes traced across the headlines carefully. There was mention of him and this other band called Smile Pop, something about competition between them and a small interview by fans and “friends.” Scoffing, Nobu sipped at his bitter sweet coffee and wrinkled his nose in distaste. Apparently, Smile Pop's consisted of three singers—like a boy band, he assumed. Back home, he started out in a full band; guitar, bass, drums and the vocalist. Unfortunately, back then he only played guitar because singing on stage always terrified him. It was only when he'd started hitting the closest bar when he was younger that he grew out of his shell and quit his old band, explaining that to make it big he needed to do what he was best at. He still loved his guitar, and it sat in the corner of his room.

“Smile Pop, huh?” Nobu said aloud, putting the paper back down before gulping the rest of his coffee down and glancing over his shoulder at Dacha.

Dacha's cat-like gaze caught his for a moment before he leaned on the counter. “The local sensation, your competition, Nobu. I know that look... you should probably check them out before causing any trouble. And you might want to disguise yourself a bit, the media's ruthless out there.” He shrugged his shoulders, then chuckled. He pushed his sunglasses up his nose. “Unless you want to be pegged a stalker AND a prostitute.” The clothes Nobu wore now were his classic, strange foreign clothes. He wore his trademark steam-punk goggles dangling around his neck, with his brown fitted gloves. He wore brown khaki pants that nearly looked military, tucked into his black army boots that went just below his knee. Instead of wearing any fancy shirt, he'd grabbed a black fitted t-shirt. He'd need to at least wear a jacket or a ball cap. Dacha seemed to analyze what he was wearing before he meandered over to the closet and ruffled through it, when he was done he threw a pair of sunglasses and a baker boy's cap on the table.

Nobu's eyebrows knit together. It seemed like this was a overplayed jab whenever he went out, a slight warning without saying don't-get-in-trouble while he was in town. His manager had always saved him from sticky situations because he had a knack for getting himself in trouble, but he had the memory of an elephant. “Stop laughing.” The vocalist seethed, shaking his head, “What did I do to deserve that title?” Before Dacha could open his mouth, he raised his hand and glared at him. “Forget I said that, I'm calling Ian... what's his last name? Garret, yeah. To get my hair styled, it's a good excuse to be down town anyway.” Quickly dialling from his cellphone, he held it to his ear.

Ren glanced sideways at Yuuki as he spoke, his eyes trained on the coffee maker. Though he curtainly did not miss the suggestive glance those pretty eyes gave him. Oh? Teasing this early in the morning? Wait it wasn't really that early, he was simply late. Yuuki had the intuition of of a seasoned woman, he knew things, and Ren didn't know how. His hair was as tidy as always, as were his clothes, and no bite marks (visible) either. His lips felt slightly swollen, but it wasn't something you could tell unless you touched them. Ren had never given any of his boys reason to suspect his particular methods of negotiation.

Ren debated on his response for a slip second, but no, he shouldn't be mean. Yuuki was his only source for the all important life giving elixure, coffee. Ever since first tasting it he had never been able to stomach the taste of any other coffee. "Yes, I had a meeting with Kozen Hiro, the contractor with Adder, he has decided that the CD that has been released is worthy of a photo shoot scheduled for this week." Kozen had arranged it with Ivan Von, one of the best photographers in the world for celebreties, who so happened to be in Japan for the next month. "Today you are to have rehearsal and are scheduled to visit the spa for facial treatments." he smiled, "And a massage."

Ren took care of his band, they had worked hard, so it was time they got a taste of luxury. He glanced at everyone, "I want teeth brushed and hair combed after breakfast though, celebrities are to maintain appearance you know, and Icons even more so."

The coffee was done, thank god. Ren walked up behind Yuuki and took hold of the cup he was pouring, "Thank you." he said in his ear, brushing his hand as he picked up the cup and walked coolie over to the counter he always leaned on. Ren was aware that Yuuki didn't like close contact, Ren was just teasing back for the earlier comment. Ren didn't enjoy people prying into his privacy... Kaori really had better brush his hair before he ended up doing it for him.

Kaori felt excitement as he thought about the upcoming rehearsal. He couldn't wait to plug in his electric guitar and lose himself in the music. The visit to the spa, however, was less appealing, but he resigned himself to it, knowing that such outings were all a part of becoming an idol. Facials and Kaori just didn't mix. He was fairly sure that most normal men would feel that way, but, then again, he wasn't exactly normal so who was he to criticize?

He looked up and noticed Ren's disapproving look as he took in the boy's appearance, and couldn't help flashing him a falsely innocent smile.

"Heheh, don't worry. I'll make sure I'm presentable," he said, walking over to the table and peering into the box Ren had brought with him. Inside were an assortment of different doughnuts. He grabbed a chocolate one and, munching on it, strolled over to the cupboard and grabbed a cup. Kaori glanced over at the coffee pot and shuddered. He couldn't stand the stuff. Instead, he grabbed a jug of water from the fridge and poured himself a glass. Then, he leaned against the fridge door, cup in one hand, half-eaten doughnut in the other.

"I don't get how you guys can drink that," Kaori said, sipping his water. "It's so gross."

"Na, na, na," Nao stuttered, open-mouthed like a fish, as Maaka snatched the whole box of donuts off of the counter and plopped down with them on the floor. "Ah!" She said, grabbing at her hair. She collapsed to the floor and slid across the linolium until she bumped into Maaka's side, stopping. Relieved, she reached a hand in and grabbed a donut of her own and started chewing on it merrily. Saved. If it was Maaka who had the box of donuts, Nao knew they would have been gone in a heartbeat. As she chewed, Nao glanced around waiting for the other girls to show. But, she couldn't take the anticipation. "Shho..." she started saying with a mouth full of food, "wut ish the pwan fer tuday."

Kairo's eyes, however were too busy following Akemi as she took another drag on her cigarette. She reached a hand forward and snatched it from her grasp, dropped it in the sink and turned on the faucet. Her eyes were fierce as she stared coldly at the girl. "Teeth whitening..." she drawled out. "I paid all that money for teeth whitening and to have these carpets cleaned and you think it's fine to smoke in front of me." She crossed her arms and popped a hip out. "Oh, oh... you girls are going to be the death of me," Kairo placed a hand on her forehead a little over-dramatically. "Listen, today we have a busy schedule. The director of Vivid Records wants to have a meeting with you about your latest single. We're trying to set up a small concert in the park to promote it and to hand out some free copies, but he won't provide the money for it unless we make a good impression. Which means we have to be there on time," she looked at her watch. "So if you wouldn't mind, please go and wake up your... well whatever you'd call them."

Today would prove to be crucial... We'll not life or death crucial. But, if they couldn't get Kido to fund their concert, then it would be up to Kairo to supply the means to pay for it. And she just couldn't do that. Impatiently, she tapped a finger against the countertop.

"WAKE UP! WAKE UP!" Nao shouted, loudly, once she was done eating her donut. "Big day ahead! Lootttsss of stuff to do! Come on!" Oh Nao... Why do you have to be such a killjoy? Now even Kairo wanted a smoke.

"I don't know how you can't," Yuuki muttered as he dipped his hand under a stream of running hot water - which was steaming - to calm the jumping nerves. Skin on skin contact made his nervous system go haywire and he couldn't function until he calmed them down; which was by beating them up. "Ren, you do that again and I'll have to send the paper's a letter." There was no tone in his voice that implied what the letter could and might consist of. Being himself however it could be possibly anything because he was an evil person and evil people did evil things. "And never give you coffee again." There was a better one.

The trip to the spa sounded interesting but having to take a photo shoot wasn't something he quite enjoyed. His hair always looked too white in the photos and it bothered him how thin he looked. Camera's were supposed to add ten pounds not take away ten pounds. Not that he was complaining because if he complained it meant that he had some sort of opinion and opinion meant caring and caring meant emotion and Yuuki didn't have those. Well he did but he stowed them so deep in himself he might as well not have had any.

"Kozen? I never liked that man. He's such a perv and he looks at us like we're sex dolls or something," he stated while he sipped at his coffee and turned off the steaming hot water. He really wanted to add an especially you tag but if he did than he would never hear the end of it. Yuuki didn't have much patience for lectures and when they started he wanted very much to either shove his foot in their mouth or their foot in their mouth. He deemed it would be whatever was more convenient for him at the time. "Do we honestly have to work with him though? Can't you find anyone... better? Not that I'm complaining but I hate the way his eyes have this gleam to them. Like he's mentally undressing you or something." Yuuki forced a shiver to pass down his lithe frame while he made his way tot he table and the donuts. "Besides. We're not food," he added as he took a bite into a chocolate donut with rainbow sprinkles.

Yuuki took another sip of his life elixir. "Kaori; what do you think about Mr. Kozen Hiro?" he mused as he took a seat on the counter next to the coffee. Unsanitary but he would vigorously clean it later.

Kaori finished his doughnut and was in the middle of gulping down the last of his water when Yuuki asked him what he thought of Kozen Hiro. He set his empty glass on the counter and allowed himself a minute to think about the question.

"Well, I'll admit that the way he looks at us sometimes is kind of creepy," he said at length, smiling an almost apologetic smile. Even though Kozen wasn't here and even though he really did creep him out, Kaori didn't like saying bad things about other people. It made him uncomfortable.

"But it's not like I know the guy all that well," he added hurriedly, "so it isn't really my place to say. Besides, isn't Kozen a pretty important person? May as well try to get along with him."

Solange walked into the dining area holding her head, face twisted into an expression of pain and a piercing glare in her eyes, threatening to murder anything and everyone who annoyed her this early in the morning, Bloody wankers didn't even make coffe yet... One wouldn't know that she was hungover unless one saw her face as she made a straight path to the vodka bottle on the counter.

Mumbling under her breath in a heavy Russian accent, "Old remedy from motherland Russia, for headaches, migranes and hangovers... drink more." With that said she took a pull from the bottle and immediately felt relief. She set about ignoring the rest of her band and her manager and making herself some coffee, as the coffeemaker started brewing the nectar of the gods she sat at the table. Ugh, donuts. Disgusting pieces of dough covered in overly-processed suga that are sure to kill you. She looked at her bandmates eating the dessert-breakfast, Though perhaps that isn't such a bad thing....

The lights of the staircase flickered on, catching the metal scissors and curlers of the barbershop as the owner descended the staircase. Another day in his little shop, hidden in one of the back allies of downtown. Ian was already fully dressed, the middle two buttons of his shirt done, the rest left open as his black tie hung loosely from his neck. His purple plaid skinny jeans wrinkled around his black boots, several silver rings piercing his ears. Oh course, this was his sense of fashion. A man with earrings, tight clothes, and perfectly blonde hair looked amazing! Shagged, short locks and a suit, on the other hand... Ugh.

As he reached the end of the staircase separating his shop and his apartment above, Ian made his way over to the main desk, allowing himself to drop into the chair with a happy sigh. His employees would be in soon to take their costumers, and maybe he could grab some important people to work on! "That would be great!" He laughed out loud, his English accent coming back as his finger fell on the phone, turning off the 'do not disturb' feature. It wasn't seconds later before it rang, the caller ID jolting Ian from his happy little meditation to pure excitement.

"H-hello?" He stumbled off his chair to pick up the phone, now on his knees in front of the desk, the chair tumbled over behind him. If this was really who he thought it was, and really who the ID said it was, then that meant he had made it somewhere! Somewhere with the big wigs, no barber-lame-pun intended.

“Ian?” The smooth, demure voice responded to the jittery voice that greeted him. To be honest, Ian Garret was never a name he was actually familiar with. The only information that was known about this new found stylist was that he had no technical specialization: he'd do wonders at anything, apparently. He didn't stop at hair, but clothes and make up was added to the list. Nobu's manager was the one who'd brought up his name in conversation and the name was stuck in his mind, he wasn't sure why but whoever he was, he was the perfect excuse to get his raven locks styled and visit the down town area. Perhaps Ian would even know the scoop on Smile Pop? He stretched his arms behind his head, holding the phone away from his ear before placing it between the nook between his cheek and shoulder. It was the only way he could flip through his schedule book; in spite of being the insufferable prick he was, he was never late for anything. “This is Ian Garret, right? Hair stylist extraordinair? This is Nobu from BLAST off, and I need my hair styled for my upcoming concert. D'you think you could fit me in?”

Of course he will.

For a moment, Nobu was silent before he eyed his manager. When he received no ill-willed gaze or tutting fingers, he smiled roguishly and paced towards the counter with his “disguise” ready in hand. Hopefully whoever this stylist was, he wasn't a stuffy old man crooning over his fame (he didn't sound much older than he was, but he couldn't tell over the phone)—that wasn't what he wanted, he couldn't stand being around people twice as old as he was. It wasn't that he was disrespectful but the way they looked at him like he was up for auction sickened him. Either that or he could clearly see the indecisive notions running through their minds that they could kill him and steal his money. He remembered the days back at school where he never had to worry about anything, let alone being mugged because of his career choice. Nobu slipped his shades to hide his unnaturally bright blue eyes and put on the baker's cap to semi-cover his trademark unkempt black hair. Hopefully it would be enough to walk out on the streets.

“I hope that's a yes, since I'm heading out the door.” Nobu waved idly to his manager, who was busying himself with something in the fridge and closed the door brusquely behind him. He took long strides down the hallway until he reached the elevator. With an audible ding, the elevator doors opened and he stepped inside. He cursed under his breath, glancing around as if he was trying to recall something. The address of the shop would've been handy. “Damn, I forgot to ask my manager. Where's your shop at?”

#, as written by Aulelei
Image Akemi rose an eyebrow, her eyes wincing and her lips still molded as if the cigarette was still there. Throwing out a perfectly good cigarette? It should have been labeled as a crime. She ran her tongue over her front teeth, rolling her eyes a little as she folded her arms under her bust, tilting her head to the side to take in all that their oh so lovely manager had to say. Great, a meeting which meant they had to be on their 'best' behavior. Well, at least Akemi. She slid her bottom off the counter, standing in front of Kairo.

"You mean, you will be the death of us, right?" she said with a grin, looking over to Solange who just made her way in to the kitchen.

"Well if it isn't the life of the party!" she said, walking over and nudging her on top of her head and grinning over to Kairo.

She was sure Kairo wasn't too 'proud' about their behavior when they were away from studios or the public eye, but hey, girls just wanna' have fun! And where is the harm in that these days?

Turning on her heels, she placed a hand over Nao's mouth, to stop the loud shouting. She had a hangover and that sure wasn't helping her situation. She felt bits of crumbs on the palm of her hand from her moist lips, and pulled away quickly.

"Ah! Nao!" she shouted, though letting out a soft laugh after ward, before hitting her playfully in the arm with a smile.

"So uh.. Im guessing we all don't have time to shower, right?" she frowned, leaning against the stove. "Which means we have to drown ourselves in the best of best fragrances to cover up the uh.." she snickered, "Donuts." she said, in a kidding kind of tone.

With a loud side, she turned to walk back in to the bathroom to collect most of her things off the bathroom floor. Her other leg warmer, purse, wallet, makeup, i.d, lip gloss, cigarettes.. but when it came to the search for her other shoe, it was probably about the time to put up a missing accessory report. Throwing her things in the nearest hamper, she leaned over the sink, turning it on letting the water warm up. She literally drowned her face in her hands, letting her palms continuously fill with the water. Once finished, she turned off the water and shook her head, the water flinging around the bathroom, splattering the plaster walls. She gazed at her reflection.

"Woe is me. These dark circles just won't do." she said, shrugging her shoulders.

She could care less about her appearance, but when it came to Kairo and her standards, appearance was one of them. Next to being on time.. for everything. With a grunt, she pulled her hair out of its messy bun, letting her long bleached hair hang down her back, a bit crinkled and curled from the twist of the bun. She pulled down her sweatshirt so it hung off her shoulders, and re-folded the rim of her shorts.

Ian started to melt against the circular desk, gripping the phone with a huge, idiotic smile on his face. This was truly Nobu. And, since it was, that meant he had gotten somewhere! A star wanted him to do his hair! Finally, there was a path for him to the top, paved by BLAST off, himself! Surely, this would be it! His big break, delivered to him by a phone call. Garret didn't even have to beg him to come, he just made the appointment on his own.

In has daze, the barber, no, stylist had focused out of the conversation, jolting back to life as he heard a door shut. "Ah, yes!" Ian coughed, finally standing from the floor and resting the chair. "I'll be open for as long as you need me! Anything and everything!" As he flipped his appointment book open, grabbing a pencil and scratching in a note reading 'Nobu of BLAST off. Long app. No cos. today Ian. Cancel else.' in English. His first language usually came back whenever he was in a hurry or excited. Translating it all to Japanese always caused to much thought to him.

"The shop, the shop, yes! Just head downtown and past that little fish market run by Miss Sakana and take a left into the alley. There's a two sitting cat statues outside. You can't miss it. But, your coming this second? That's fine and all- Very fine actually- but my other employee-" What was he saying?! This was Nobu he was talking to! "Nevermind, sir, come right in! I'll be ready for you!" Without thinking much more, Ian threw the phone back into it's holder, biting back an excited yell as he dialed his first appointments for the day, rescheduling all for later dates and telling his employees not to come in. After all, what star would want people, hair wet and halfway cut in the chaos, to be fawning over him right and left? It was better the others did not come in today. Now to only get ready...

"I didn't ask if it was your place to say. I just asked what you thought of him," Yuuki said smoothly as he placed his empty mug into the sink. He ran a hand through his light pink locks and dropped it to his side before he placed them in his pockets. There was something bothering him but he couldn't quite settle his mind onto it; like it was slowly squeezing out of his grip each time he managed to grab hold of it. Instantly he wiped it from his mind and grabbed another donut. "By the way, Ren, are there going to be stylists at the spa or are we booking someone different?" Not that he really cared but he had to put some effort into this star thing right?

Silently he made his way back to the counter and sat back down munching on his glazed desert like it was heaven. Yuuki had a soft spots for treats and often people would try and use him for it. Chocolate was the worst and chocolate liqueur drove him mad; he could easily be swayed if those were on the table. Not that anyone had done it recently and he really hoped no one would because he honestly didn't want to have to kill anyone anytime soon what with his status and whatnot. Did he really care about being an icon? He had to; he was willing to do evil things to get there.

So as he waited for and answer from their manager he let his mind wander so he could muse on things. He thought about his life before he ditched home after high school. He thought about the e-mail his older brother had sent him a week ago that he hadn't replied to yet. He thought about the letter he'd gotten yesterday from his parents that he'd hidden from the rest of the band. He thought about the secrets he was hiding from the people who were supposed to be his friends. Most of all he thought about who he had started becoming since that single day weeks before he graduated. Instantly he stopped there. Yuuki wouldn't... couldn't think about that.

Instead he'd try and come up with something to block out the memories. "Oh and Ren; I want to meet this guy named Nobu. Or rather BLAST off I believe. He's in some competition with us and I'd like to meet who I'm battling against," he stated. 'That and tear him down from the pedestal he's no doubt climbing to,' he thought as he took another bite from his donut.

The vocalist of BLAST off could already picture the stylist's large, over-excited smile dominate his face, maybe he was pacing back and forth because he couldn't believe he called. At times like this, it wasn't unusual for Nobu to feel as cocky as he acted—though his cockiness had worn down to weariness these days when people clung to him so, it was irritating but he had a feeling that he wouldn't mind Ian. As long as he wasn't twice his age with grubby hands and greedy eyes, attempting to steal their ways into his pants to acquire some money from his “affections.” Honestly, he had to contact someone about his bad reputation to erase whatever stains he'd made. It wasn't that he went out and made himself public, but the media and paparazzi were ruthless and around every corner. Holding hands or being seen with anyone alone could possibly end up in the papers.

Awaiting Ian's dazed reply, he stepped out of the elevator and nodded absent mindedly to the man at the counter. The private suite was on the top floor and he'd given the owner of the hotel a tip to tell anyone who thought he was taking refuge here that room 303 was vacant. Simple but effective. Nobu smirked when Ian finally gave him the words he'd been seeking, and that he'd be open as long as was needed. “That's good, I was hoping you'd say yes.” The raven-haired young man responded before chuckling and glancing around for his blazing red, 2009 Lotus Elise. It was never his idea to buy such a sporty, expensive car but his manager insisted for his image it would be necessary. He only thought it was foolish and insisted he'd rather drive an old Mustang beater. Obviously, his opinion wasn't celebrity grade. As he hopped in his car, he heard shifting pages; then the scratching of a pencil.

Nobu sat there with his hand poised on his key which was half-way stuck in the ignition. He couldn't leave until he was given directions and when Ian rambled them off, he mentally took note and nodded. “Fish market. Left. Two sitting cats. Right.” Nobu repeated, pushing the key all the way into the ignition and took one last look in the mirror before he was satisfied. Of course, it wasn't subtle taking his own vehicle but at least he wouldn't be spotted as easily if he parked somewhere inconspicuous and walked the rest of the way. As long as he was faster than those totting cameras, he'd do fine. If all else failed, he could break one of the cameras. When Ian began saying something about other employees, his eyebrow knit together and he opened his mouth to say something. However, he didn't have enough time and just laughed. “I'm glad you have time, Mr. Garett. I'll be there in ten minutes.” He turned the key and listened to the gently roar of the engine, purring to his ears and set off down the road. Nobu decided it'd be best to take detours and park in one of the parking garages. Maybe he'd be there even earlier?

"Well, I guess that's true," Kaori said, looking away. Yuuki's voice was so neutral that it was hard to tell whether or not he was trying to poke fun at him. Yawning, Kaori ran a hand through his hair again and decided that it was time to clean himself up.

"Anyways, I'm going to make myself presentable," he said, walking past Ren and Yuuki, and crossing the living room. He then continued down the short hallway that led further into the apartment and turned on his first right. The bathroom was small, hardly big enough for the three guys sharing it, but at least it was always clean. The fact that it had less clutter made it feel bigger than it really was. Kaori turned on the tap, adjusted the temperature of the water, and then splashed it over his face, sighing as it warmed his skin. Once he was done scrubbing, he grabbed a cloth and dried himself off. Then he ran a brush through his hair, letting his mind wander.

He wondered vaguely how Maaka was doing. It had been two weeks since he'd last seen her and, other than the hurried text messages they'd exchanged, he had no idea what she was up to these days. He made a mental note to contact her as soon as possible so that they could get together. Maybe he could even invite his brother... Kaori's hand jerked and the brush tore mercilessly at his hair. It hadn't done much damage, but the pain was enough to bring his mind back from the dangerous direction it had been headed. His fingers curled around the edges of the sink. He couldn't let himself think about his family, not if he wanted to be happy.

Kaori tossed the brush into a small basket sitting next to the sink and walked out of the room.

((Sorry if it seems like I'm stalling XD. Waiting for Caramel to make her post and then everybody is out of the apartment :P))

“Hehe,” Nao chuckled, as Akemi placed a hand over her mouth, only to be repelled by the crumbs that covered it. She stuck out her tongue and licked all around her lips, until all the tasty confection was gone. “I guess I better go too then,” she said, as she rocked back and forth on the floor, picking up enough momentum to just pop up like a jack-in-the-box. Her feet paced in place underneath her as she got ready. One. Two. Three. Take off. With that, she skipped in her usual manner, floating around the house like what one could only call a very graceful cyclone.

Her room was on the far side of the apartment and she shared it with Hahenko. At first she tried not to make a lot of noise, just in case Hahenko was somewhere among the clutter sleeping, but she forgot about the whole quiet thing pretty quickly. All she wanted to do was find that flowery top! After tossing everything out of her drawers and onto the floor, she finally found it hanging on the closet doorknob. She held it up to her nose and smelled it (yeah, it was still good), before slipping the strappy and flowing pink shirt over her head. She twirled around in the mirror (four times, like always), observing herself. There wasn’t much she could do for her hair. Luckily, it was already in its natural waves. All she had to do was flip it upside down, brush it a little, and then flip it back up to have fluffy and bouncy locks. Her shorts were just fine and she replaced her striped socks with a pair of black ballet flats. Her breath, however, was another thing. And she just had to run into the bathroom and brush her teeth. She didn’t really remember what she drank the other night… but it had one bad aftertaste… She didn’t even know if it was the drink at all!… At the thought of it, she gagged a little and broke out the mouthwash as well.

Funny… this was all done in around five minutes.

“Wake up Hahenko!” Nao said, at last to her roommate before running back into the kitchen. She plopped down on the bed, bouncing up and down until it creaked and groaned underneath her weight (which wasn’t that much… But… donuts). “We’re going to be late!” But… her roommate was still… Nao leaned forward, closer to the girl… Well, she was still breathing. Nao smiled deviously and bent down right beside her friend’s ear. “Meow,” she whispered, before jumping up off of the bed, her hands clinched in front of her (expecting Hahenko to whack her in the face). When she realized she was safe, she chuckled and ran back out of the room and into the kitchen.

A peaceful sleep was washing over the young, up-and-coming vocalist of one of the hottest all-girl band groups in Japan. As she curled up into a ball though, she could still hear the slight sounds of someone moving in her room. Oh wait, scratch that, her shared room. She slowly flopped out of her ball that she had took hours during the night to perfect, and was now stretched out, straight-backed, against her bed. The room was slightly cooler than it usually would be, because of her interference with the air-conditioner after Nao went to sleep. She enjoyed it being cold in her room when she slept, it made it easier to get nice and snugly in her blankets.

Suddenly, large vibrations shook her bed frame, right when she was about to drift back to unconsciousness. She could hear her irritatingly happy roommate yelling something about being late. At her current state, Hahenko did not want to get up. The party she was convinced to attend last night had left a bad taste in her mouth. Literally. Hahenko refused to allow this bothersome girl ruin her morning slumber!

Then.....she was quiet. After a minute, she suddenly felt Nao's hair brush her cheek. She leaned in close, and whispered "Meow" in her ear. Hahenko's ear twitched, as a bit of hair brushed the outer skin. Nao jumped back, expecting for the usual punch and "Don't make fun of animals!" But, without realizing it, she had discovered a week point in Hahenko: Her ears. Simply lightly touching them would paralyze this poor girl. After a moment of uncertainty, Nao seemed satisfied, and ran out of the room.

Almost immediately Hahenko popped up after she left the room, trying to yell something, but then got dizzy and fell over. She groaned and slowly propped herself on her arm, wiping her eyes with the sleeve of her purple silk night-gown. She toppled out of bed, searching for her furry slippers. Making her way to the bathroom, she took a quick shower, and continued with this quick notion in her make-up.

Changing into a purple and dark purple striped turtle-neck and tight fitting pants, she walked out of her shared room and into the kitchen area, where she spotted Nao. For a moment she didn't say anything; just went to the counter and poured some tea. Orange Pekoe it seemed. After a few sips she turned over to Nao.

"Rrrrroooaar," She growled at the girl in response to her earlier "Meow", narrowing her eyes and taking more sips.

In all honesty, Ren wasn't in the slightest bit bothered by Yuuki's mail threat. Yuuki obviously did not understand that he was only on his way to the top, not actually there. So he had next to nothing in influence when it came to the papers, he'd be like one of those menial prostitutes that claimed to have slept with a celebrity. Ren's family name was far more influential than Smile Pop at this point. Not to mention Ren didn't care, but the coffee comment made his eyes pop open, that was acreal threat. Oh dear. He glanced at the boy and looked slightly annoyed, then they started to complain about Kozen. Oh please, who did these brats think they were to be complaining about their one chance to be stars? Kozen could make or brake them. "He won't bother you, trust me. And don't complain about your superiors..." He finished and nodded to Kaori as he walked past, if he had to pick favorites so far, it would have to be Kaori, least amount of trouble, perfectly reasonable chap too.

Anyway, Kozen wouldn't be looking at anyone but him for a while, he seemed quite taken with his body. Ren finished his coffee and put his mug in the sink, "You'll meet him eventually." he responded to Yuuki, not really listening. If Yuuki wanted to meet someone then he could arrange it himself... Ren got out his phone and txted Ian Garret to ask if the appointment he had made for tomarrow with the band was still ok. Ren was getting grumpy for some reason.

He walked overcto the closet and got his coat that he had left here. Axlong black one with buttons running up the middle. He slipped it on as Kaori cam over. Everyone ready to go? He said more than asked.

The little blonde couldn't get over his excitement as he slammed the phone back in it's holder. Happily, he slumped back into the office chair, spinning several times before getting to work in preparing the salon. Sweeping up anything that might still be left on the floor from the night before, shining his scissors and curlers, cleaning the widows of the door- Wait... On second thought... People could see in these windows if they walked by, and, if they see someone like Nobu they might try to come inside... That wouldn't be good... Ian was already having to hold himself back from calling some of his friends to tell them the news, or maybe even tipping off the paparazzi, so maybe if the windows were covered he would be able to lessen the risk of telling?

That would probably be a good idea. After all, if he did a good job this time, then he could probably get BLAST off to come back, and maybe some others! So, the stylist turned on his heel and took some paper from the printer of the front desk. Surely if he taped it up to the window it would be okay for now... It almost killed him to leave it there when he was done. Paper, really? What was he thinking! Why couldn't he go out and get some one-way mirror cover or something? This just looked horrible. But, it had to do for now, and Ian just had to hope the star wouldn't mind.

However, in the midst of his distractions, Ian regretted to hear his phone ringing from his bedside table upstairs, signaling a text message. Sure, there was an appointment the next day, but he knew practically no details about it. Mainly just that a group of boys coming over the next day. Probably, if he wasn't so distracted, the blonde would be planning just as much, but, alas, he did not. Ian would just have to find out later on.

Solange glared in response to the 'life of the party' comment but otherwise disregarded it. Her coffee finished with a comforting sputter and she all but jumped to the elixir of life, the universe, and 42. Solange stirred two heaping scoops of sugar into the currently black coffee and then mixed in creamer until it was a delectable light tan color. Her coffee was something that she liked either overly-sickly-sweet or extremely bitter. Today she was feeling nice, so she opted for sweet- and besides, she really only liked espresso bitter.

With her coffee in her hand she meandered back to her room she had comandeered for herself, as she was very big on personal space and privacy. She shut and locked her door and beelined for her dresser. Opening a bottle of prescription anti-depression pills she took the amount required for the day in a dry swallow. What do I wear today... Solange perused her articles of clothing at her disposal and decided on some very tight skinny jeans (the only kind of pants she had really) in a pitch black color, a white ruffled shirt, a black pinstripe jacket (no lace on the sleeves) and black and white high heeled oxfords. Giving herself a once-over in her full-length mirror she curtly nodded in approval, she liked odd clothing and styles- prefering to shop at vintage stores and thrift shops for clothing and accessories, more one-of-a-kind that way too...
