Location & Time: The Lakewood Apartments then The Mighty Bean. 9:00 A.M.

[indent]It has been a week since his birthday, the party and the falling out of his friendship with Veronica. He recently moved to another apartment complex, not too far from where he stayed but he couldn't bare walking by her door everyday because he had the temptation to knock on it. Eli's new complex may not have been much and an absolute downgrade but at least he had a place of his own. No roommates and no love interest around. He absolutely enjoyed his new location because it had it's own lake, hence the name Lakewood but because it was also closer to the beach than the other place.

Elliot's mind was currently all over the place as he was up and running as always early this morning.

He didn't have to work today and he was actually relieved that he didn't so he could go out and meet his new neighbors. He had placed on a blue, short sleeved, buttoned up, collared shirt, along with blue jean pants and blue Nike shoes to match. He placed a pair of sunglasses atop of his head then grabbed his cell phone and keys before strolling out of his apartment. Eli made sure the door was locked before proceeding down two flight of stairs and reaching the bottom, where he ran into a group of girls. He did a nifty dance move to avoid bumping into them, followed by a backflip and watched their exclaimed faces. The corners of his mouth curved into a smile as he walked along the sidewalk.

Eli met a few of his neighbors and they all were very nice, warm and welcoming of him to the area. He smiled while reaching his Jeep and getting into the driver's side. His phone dinged and it was a text from Harper, some girl he met at the Mighty Bean. He read the message, which was to meet her at the Mighty Bean right now. Elliot shook his head while applying his seatbelt and starting the engine, making his way towards the Mighty Bean.

He found himself a parking space nearby then made his trek towards the coffee shop but stopped in front of his old apartment building but looked up at Veronica's window instead. A soft sigh escaped from his lips as he doesn't why he just did that to himself. His head lowered to the sidewalk as he walked into the coffee shop and heard his name being instantly called. It was Harper, waving him down. A slight huff went over his parted lips as a fake smile plastered his face as he slowly walked over there. She squealed when he sat down beside her. He rubbed his ears and mouthed the word Wow then looked up at her. "So, why was it so important that I meet you here?" He asked her as she snapped her fingers and pulled out her iPad then started scrolling through it while talking. "Well, I sent a video of you dancing to that local dance theater I was telling you about and they want you to choreograph this year's production of..." She paused, seemingly for dramatic effect but then blurted out. "West Side Story!"

Elliot jaw dropped as he couldn't nothing more but hug Harper. His words stammered together as he stopped trying to talk. "Thank you, Harper. I've gotta tell Ve.." A hush fell over them both as he looked at Harper with a smile. When big things, such as this, happens, he usually tells Veronica but he really doesn't know if he should even text her.

She probably deleted his name and number from her phone. Hell, her life. Elliot couldn't bare not being able to text or talk to Veronica and it had been a week since they communicated with one another. As Harper got up from the table, his eyes trailed up towards her. "I've got to get started on the costumes. See ya later, Eli!" Harper waved wildly as she walked out of the coffee shop. Elliot pulled out his cell phone and started texting Veronica.

[Hey. I'm in town. At the Mighty Bean to be exact. I've got big news, if you care to hear. :)]

Eli hesitated to press the send button but did so anyway.

Now, all he had to do was wait but in the meantime, he had himself a Caramel & Mocha Frappe and a Cinnamon Bun.
