Overall Appearance:
Leo is a rather tall individual with a stocky body and pale white skin and white hair along with green eyes. Usually his appearance while not wearing any environmental suit or extra clothing consists of a simple white shit with grey pants. However when wearing extra clothing he usually wears a more padded trench coat for extra warmth. When exploring more dangerous areas even for mutants he usually wears a set of shoddy scrap armor modified to look the very least presentable alongside a gas mask to help filter out any toxic chemicals.

“Keep calm and relax a little, there's no reason we can't not be civil. Despite what I look like deep down inside I still have my humanity. But would you like some toast to break the ice?”

Personality:

Leo is considered to be a rather down to earth guy, despite the world he lives on he and a lot of members of his colony of Lizardman have a lot of respect to others. As such not only does Leo not want to actually want to try killing, robbing or stealing from others he will actually help some random passerby on their day by giving them some food or drink. Leo is also a rather optimistic individual always seeing a better future or making the best out of any given situation, whether it be by jokes or simply looking on the better side of things he usually finds a way to keep his spirits and the spirits of those around around him up.

Of course combined with this nice personality, Leo also is a rather avid explorer. Often looking in nooks, crannies, and digging under rubble to find all the hidden and good bits that could often have been ignored as either useless junk or missed by others and often crafts anything that might assist him or others from trying to craft a toaster to cook bread or even a functioning gasmask and armor for whenever he needs added protection from the elements. As such, he often finds himself bartering wither others not only to talk but see what supplies the two can trade together.

But despite his non-aggressive nature, he is by no means incapable of protecting himself or against fighting others. If his hand is forced he will not hesitate to protect himself if he has to. He dislikes the act of fighting but he will not let another try to claim his life without defending himself. But despite all of this Leo remains a rather friendly individual and is always happy to make some pals, trading partners or simply being a nice guy to hang around with.

Likes
Like 1 // Cooking: Leo has an unnatural ability to cook, in this toxic world one must have some luck, weird tastes or a little of both to survive on this world. Leo has transcended past these two things and has come across a third option: A good eye for ingredients and proper preparation. With such knowledge...and a book on everything he has cooked and successfully eaten with good taste he is a self certified chef in a toxic world. As such he has a rather fond love of food not only for survival but for all the possibilities that come with cooking

Like 2 // Crafting: With 500 years of previous generations before him, they passed down a special teaching to their offspring...And that was the art of salvaging and crafting along other survival skills. As such the Lizardman has been known to be good at re-purposing old scrap, junk and old stuff to something useable. And Leo is no exception to this, being an imaginative inventor he really likes to dabble with making things.

Like 3 // Being Friendly: With the world being toxic and rather unforgiving to the unprepared many would assume most of their inhabitants would be hardened and ready to throw one another into a toxic lake for even a piece of meat. Well a bunch of individuals would do that but Leo is one of the exceptions, he will not attack others or steal from them, in fact he often helps others donating supplies or even time to assist them in whatever they need, be it building a shelter of cooking them up a nice meal.

Dislikes
Dislikes- Fighting: Although not shying away from fights, Leo will often do his best to convince the opposition if they are ready to attack him to stand down and simply walk away. But fighting will always leave a sour taste in his mouth especially when he comes out on top.

Dislikes-Blatant injustice: With there not being much laws on a toxic world, its to be expected that all sorts of things will happen. Even if he dislikes fighting he does not like watching people get attacked and robbed in his eyes and will intervene to protect someone.

Dislikes-The cold: As a Lizardman he is coldblooded. As such he has trouble regulating body temperature by himself without say close contact with another or warm clothing. But even then he very much dislikes the cold because he dislikes the feeling and it also has a physical impact on him.

Dislikes-Doing nothing: As an explorer, mechanic, cook and wanderer he normally keeps himself busy looking for scrap, cooking and tinkering with creations. If he literally has nothing to do and is still wide awake he...Tends to question what the heck can he do without being absolutly bored out of his mind.

Strengths

Strength-Agile: Being a Lizardman his agility is one of his defining traits. He can move quickly, climb quickly and think quickly. As such when in danger he can put that speed to good use and get out of danger at a rapid pace if he is capable of running.

Strength-Survival skills: When out there in the wastes and the open worlds. Keeping your eyes open, ears alert and surroundings clear is one of the few things one should learn while surviving alone. Not only is he a good explorer, he can forage for food that most might not have tried out, make shelters for multiple situations from flooding to the cold, and knows when things might be off.

Strength-Mechanical engineering: Knowing what mechanical scrap looks like is one thing, being able to use it is another. Leo has a lot of experience tinkering with machines whether it be toasters and getting it to actually work to keeping his own cybernetic enhancements working and maintained so they don't simply shut down on him...Or shut down on others...

Strength-Cybernetics: Parts of his body has been modified, his left eye is a cybernetic eye capable of seeing much further than his organic counterpart. A cybernetic Left arm that packs a much greater punch than his organic arm and a much more steady trigger finger, and a cybernetic right leg that has a lot more force behind it. Each capable of being modified further to add extra features.

Weaknesses

Weakness 1 The Cold: In any low temperature environment, as Lizardman with cold blood it can be very bad for him as it actually debilitates his physical capabilities and slows him down. It can be somewhat mitigated by warm clothes and weather protection gear but he will still feel the effects unless he is warmed by a fire or a warm individual.

Weakness 2 Combat Capabilities: In an actual fight against others he is not the best when it comes to it. Sure a weapon that shoots at people is one thing, a smart living being out to actually kill him and actually trained for killing others is another thing. As such he struggles against anyone with combat capabilities.

Weakness 3 Fluffy things: Being a race who has more scaly skin, and the best luxury being rags just piled together for a pillow on top of scrap. Anything remotely comfy or looking really fluffy he will gladly barter for a chance to get some of that. Or pet the floof.

Image
{ Weapon : }

A simple weapon rigged up from the many working pieces of scrap that was capable of being refined. A humble rifle with a bayonet attached to the end of it, although rather primitive compared to all the advanced technology of the sky it is still a capable weapon. Featuring a five round capacity which rounds are manually inserted into the weapon to reload the weapon. This makes a good hunting weapon and a capable self defense weapon.

{Place of Origin :}
Colony Of Belinian

{ Background : }

Born in the Colony of Belinian with a long history that dates back to when humanity left to the starts 500 years ago. This colony was originally composed of soldiers that were unable to head to the stars to get to safety. As such they had no choice but to hunker down and make a living to survive, over time their genetics were mutated and changed into on of a Lizard and after a few hundred years their human bloodline had all but aged and passed away. And 500 years after the initial 'settlers' there young Leo was born.

Growing up Leo learned all the skills that were passed down from his parents, he learned how to utilize and tinker with mechanics, survival skills to take care of himself out there in the field, and soon enough he was on his way to be like many of his fellow Lizardman. Of course among the others of the colony he was a bit more eccentric or had a far grander imagination than most. Whatever it was young Leo was a lot more active at making discoveries, cooking strange things to make gourmet meals, and perfecting toasters to try and make toast that had been written in old books from the founders.

Soon enough Leo was one of the brightest people of his Colony, however his wandering nature has seen to him always leaving and returning, but he also faced many troubles. Losing an eye in an ambush and having to replace it with a cybernetic one he took a few years to get everything for, lost a leg after narrowly escaping a collapsing ruin forced to remove it and then spent a while forging enough parts to make a new one, and finally losing an in a mechanical accident where a minor explosion took his whole arm and had to replace it once more with a cybernetic one.

Now he simply lives his life as Leo the mechanical cook. Not knowing what the future has in store for him

{Other Info :}

Leo is a smoker, using a special batch of makeshift herbs he finds around the world he usually carries a lot of special smokes on his person. They all usually have different effects but they are used as personal flavor smokes to relax even better. Some also have the effects of relaxants.

Leo's skin although looking human like from afar has reptilians like properties upon closer examination. As such his skin feels a bit clammy to the touch.

Location: Colony Of Belinian

"Oh...Its the lottery numbers." Came the voice of a young man as he watched the Holovision set as he was busy using a hammer on a metal sheet trying to knock out all the dents to at least make it useable. As such was the life of Leo Behrends living in his family home with his parents in their little colony. Of course his father looking like the year were finally taking some small effect on him simply sighed at the screen. "Yeah, although I only wish there was a different lottery to give some lucky person supplies instead of sending them into a death game...Barbaric and bloody, and people get an enjoyment from it." He commented as he seemed to tune out the voices droning out from the machine to focus on eating some breakfast.

"Yeah, with the rewards they give out it might as well be blood money. Lots of young people join it from what I can see. But I decided to put in my number in." Leo spoke simply as he moved some of his hair out of his left eye as he slowly examined the sheet metal looking for any last trace of dents in it before nodding to himself.

"Of course you decided to partake in such a ridiculous game. I swear I raised a more noble young man not a greedy murderer." His mother chimed in pulling his ear as he gave a startled painful groan. "M-Mom! Calm down!...Ow! I'm not going to participate for the rewards! I heard we can take a free ticket to the ships during the first portion of it. I always wanted to examine the design of the sky ships, that and I want to keep the bloodshed to a minimum. I know I'm risking my neck doing something dumb, but maybe some people might be convinced to not murder each other. I have a way with words and my Special stew toast will be definitely mind blowing for many of them." He tried to smile only to get his ear pulled even harder by his mother causing him to cry out. "Is that so young man!? In that case I did not raise a idiot! Royce dear help talk your son out of this nonsense!" She glared at her husband who raised his hands in surrender. "The last time I helped the kid lost his hand in an explosion. Besides the chances of him actually being picked is low. With all those that want to willing participate his chancs are almost impossible." Royce nodded with a small smile and chuckle.

Of course the room suddenly went quiet as the Holovision suddenly spouted out another string of ID numbers and showed the face of Leo on the screen. "Wow, that's rather lucky or unlucky if you think about that. But I guess in my case I'm a bit lucky." Leo spoke as his mother gave an exhausted sigh as she gave her son a bone breaking hug. "I know there's no talking you out of this you idiot...You better not die in that silly game and you better come back home so I can slap the living daylights out of you for making me worried..." She seemed to hold back tears as Leo gave a soft smile. "Don't worry mom...I learned from the best after all...But...I think I'm going to die from this hug before...Anything else..." He managed to groan out before being released from his mothers bone crushing hug and took a deep breath of fresh air. "I'm gonna show everyone something new. And do my best to try and keep everyone from killing eachother. Oh, and I'll come back with a book about all the foods humans actually eat and details about the sky ships designs." Leo stood up and went to go pack his stuff, only one support item huh? He had to think well on this...

On one hand he could bring his environmental suit, it would better protect him from the elements in case he gets dropped off in a place that's rather poor. But of course there was the whole needing food and protecting yourself from getting attacked...And it was a far easier prospect to find stuff to build one than an actual working gun. As such...He grabbed his rifle and nodded. He hoped he would not need to use it against the other contestants. With that done he got dressed and hugged his parents one last time before setting out and heading to the shuttle and showed his ID and got on board. "Got to look on the bright side of things. At least I get to see a sky ship in person...And I guess I can meet a human face to face actually. This should be pretty cool." He spoke to himself now prepared for the situation he got himself in.

Location: Shuttle En-Route to Father

Well here he was now, about to join a death game putting his neck on the game to basically get a free pass to examine one of the sky ships and play nice guy with people who are more than eager to separate his head from the rest of his body. "Well I'm in the long haul now. But at least I should gather my thoughts..." He thought to himself as he dug into his pack and produced a little pack and opened it up and grabbed what appeared to be a handmade cigarette and put it in his mouth and lit it up. "Hey, remember to turn those in when we arrive at the ship. No smoking allowed at Father." One of the human guards stated as Leo nodded at his words. Well so much for bringing these with him so he might as well get one last smoke before he arrived. But at least he had time to smoke before they arrived at the Father. He glanced around looking at some of the other mutants on the shuttle, some nervous, some eager. Lots of young ones as to be expected...Certainly made him feel old...

"Hey old man." Someone tapped his shoulder as he glanced to his side. It was a fellow mutant, young boy. Probably a teen. He looked like he had some features of a cat. "That stuff you got. It smells kind of nice...What is that?" The boy asked as Leo gave him a small smile. "A home made smoke. Does well to calm the nerves and it tastes pretty nice. Here." He soon handed the boy all but one of the smokes along with the lighter. "Share it among the others. I can't keep it anyways. Consider it an early gift you know?" He chuckled a bit in reply as the young boy gave a small smile. "Man you're nice. Just your back though old man, once the games begins being nice wont protect you." The young boy replied as Leo simply shrugged with a smile. Yeah I suppose I have to be careful. You all be careful as well, you all have a lot of years left to go after all." He soon leaned back a bit to simply relax as he lit up his last and final Cigarette using the one that still had some fire left and stuffed it into a small disposal pack for throwing away trash.

"Alright...First we have orientation to go through...Signing papers then then we basically have two weeks to prepare for the death game...I guess first order of business during the one week period I should get to know some of the others, and get a look at the stuff on the ship I can see...Sounds like a plan if I say so myself..." Leo nodded to himself as the shuttle soon came to a standstill as they had arrived at Father. Time to start his brand new day in the sky...

Location: Father

After arriving at the ship, a guard motioned for the Mutants to show their ID's and turn in their chosen support item which meant Leo gave them his rifle and basically everything else besides the clothes on his back and his bag of money. He packed light, and he was not sure if there was a shop on the ship...So maybe it was a good idea to bring his cash...Yeah probably a good idea. Once they were logged, their stuff taken they began to be escorted in different areas. "Hey Mutie. Your Leo right?" A man walked up to him as he nodded and pointed at himself. "Yes I'm Leo." He replied as the man nodded. "Alright, first we will make you presentable. Come with me." The man spoke as Leo followed the man through the pristine hallways and soon arrived at some sort of strange room. "Please enter the stall, remove your clothing and step into the glass booth. I'll contact your manager so she knows you have arrived." He stated as Leo complied as he stepped inside the stall and unbuttoned his shirt and removed his clothing and quietly entered the glass booth. Well this was a bit...Embarrassing as always...But if he can bathe out in the open while it rains and pray to god no one simply walked behind his house, then he can handle this...Mostly...

Once inside the glass room he looked around and noticed some green button and gave it a press. Once he did so a blast of nice warm water hit his body as he could have cried right at that moment. A nice hot shower did the body wonders! He worked on a water heating unit but the problem was that he can exactly waste water to simply wash himself. So he had to settle with terrible cold showers outside when it rains...

Once done and smelling not of grease, oil and old metal. He exited the glass booth and put on a bath robe that was waiting for him and got close to dressed while his clothing was probably being washed. Man...A button that dispenses water...Cool! Still while he would wait for his clothes to be cleaned the man handed him a bottle of water that looked bubbly. He took a sip from it and examined the flavors...Was this...Sparkling water? Amazing...

"Alright Leo. Follow me again." The man stated as Leo would follow him once more. He was not used to a bath robe but...At least he was covered but he was missing his normal clothing...But looking around as he followed the man would easily keep his mind occupied.

Location: Father, Qiqi's Office Studio

After being led through the hallway, Leo was led into a well kept studio...Of course the closest thing to a studio Leo saw was basically a ramshackle workshop where scrap was strewn about for easy access to working material. So this place was the complete opposite of what he is used to, virtually dustless and he would even bet there was no trace of any sort of germs on even the floors. Some counters holding some strange products on it and in the middle of it all was a young woman with long purple hair, a rather interesting shirt? Dress? Jacket?...He was not much of a fashion person or really knew the differences of anything more fancy than a simple shirt so he virtually had no clue where her shirt was. And finally she finished off her 'shirt' with a pair of shorts and little animal trinkets.

"Miss Qiqi, contestant #416789012 or Leo Behrends is here. You are hereby his manager." The man spoke as the young woman turned around with a small smile. "Thanks, but I can take things from here now. Your excused." The woman introduced as Qiqi from the man spoke as he would excuse himself and leave the two alone. "H-Hi. I'm Leo, pleased to meet you." He gave a small smile as the woman walked up to him and examined him closer before offering her hand. Leo would take her hand and shake hers. "As you are aware my name is Qiqi. But we will have more time later. The orientation and party will begin soon and we have to make you look presentable." She stated as she looked up at her face and seemed to bore a hole into his soul as she stared at him.

For someone who was supposed to be a mutant, he did not look half bad. He looked virtually like a human but of course with her keen eyes for details she noticed the reptile-like skin. But she can definitely work with this indeed...She would make this mutant look perfect for this party and help promote her own makeup brand at the same time. Her eye seemed to have a glint to it. She needed some good clothes for him and the right set of makeup to compliment his pale white skin and cover up that reptile skin of his for the cameras when they get a good closeup. While still holding his hand she dragged him to one of the chairs with no resistance and sat him down. "Now hold still, I am going to get to work making you look less like a savage and more like a proper living being." She soon pulled up a table and soon picked up some strange pigments and brushes. Leo looked at her a bit confused. Of course Leo had never heard of makeup in his life so he was unaware what he had just gotten himself into. "What's that strange powder you have?" He asked as Qiqi would lean his chair back with a press of a switch catching him by surprise before speaking. "It's makeup. It helps people look much better. Although it's primarily for women with your looks I can show that if you can look good then a lot of people will wonder how it's gonna make them look." Her eyes shined as Leo was then subject to a forced makeover.

He kept his mouth closed as he felt a brush glide across his face, covering his skin with...Something. It felt like a powder but not as noticeable. In fact as she continued to press the brush against his face he could almost feel the powdery feeling virtually vanish. And this would go on until he felt his arms, neck and face were now covered with this 'makeup' thing Qiqi was using on him. Of course as he opened his eyes, he could see a sparkle in her eyes as she seemed very proud of her work as she grabbed his shoulders and hoisted him up before dragging him to a wardrobe and began to look at him, at the clothing then looked at him once more repeatedly before grabbing a black, short sleeved suit. A pair of black dress pants and a pair of black dress shoes and handed it to Leo.

"There's a screen in the corner of the room, I want you to put on the pants and shoes first. I'll put on the suit when your done." She stated as Leo simply nodded as he slinked away from her and removes his bath roes and began to get dressed in the more formal looking attire...He would admit this looked neat compared to his old outfit but this was a lot Less...Optimal to be exploring in. But that was a different thing for the moment, after he put on the pants and shoes she returned back to Qiqi as she helped him put on the tuxedo and did his tie before nodding to herself. "Perfect! You look presentable! In fact you could be mistaken for a human now! This should really get people's attention!" She proudly nodded as he looked at the mirror and looked at himself.

It must have been magic...He looked nothing like himself now. His face...It was almost sparkling and did well to highlight his features. The suit amplified his form...Humans...Were truly smart to come up with such things! Still...Primarily for women...He was not sure what to think of when those words echoes in his mind. But...He guessed he was ready for a party?

"I'm starting to feel nervous now...It's one thing to see the parties on the Holo-vision...But now that I look at myself and know that I am about go into a room full of humans, cameras and fellow mutants to basically present myself...Well it may not be hammering at scrap or tinkering with unstable machinery...But this is own type of difficult huh?...Well hopefully Mom and Dad can recognize me from this um...Makeover...Actually...Now that I think on it I look so different I think people would freak out when my face flashes on screen and see this face instead. Or better yet I hope some get a good laugh from this. I mean look at me, good old oil soaked Leo looking like a piece of art...Well...That makes my mood better, I can handle a little party. I mean if I can handle our colony's parties I can handle this party." He thought to himself as he softly smiled at the mirror.

"Alright Leo, it's time to make yourself seen. Come with me, it's time for the celebrations." Qiqi motioned for him to follow as he did so. While they walked through the pristine hallways once more his manager spoke up. "Listen Leo, this is going to be vital if you actually want to last in the death game. You look perfect thanks to my hands but I am going to need you to be on your best behavior...But judging how you have not insulted my products, argued or made any distasteful comment I can say I won't have to worry too much about an attitude problem. But keep your manners about you and sell yourself as a contestant who deserves a sponsor. I rather not have you dying on me, you need me and I need you after all. You obviously have some stake in this if you volunteer for this." Qiqi stated as Leo nodded.

"I see...Thanks for helping me out Miss Qiqi, we may have met each other for a bit but I will take your advice to heart. After all if we are going to work together and you're going to be helping me stay alive then you have my thanks. So I trust you...Not to be weird or anything of course..." He gave a nervous smile as Qiqi nodded.

"A good relationship is built on trust. You put your trust in me and you will be getting out of this alive. But I appreciate your thanks, and please don't get your suit dirty. I spent a while making you look presentable, so try to keep it dry and free of food particles." Qiqi added as Leo nodded in response. Soon enough they would arrive at the lounge with fellow humans and mutants gathered dressed in their best. And of course Leo felt that whole 'butterflies in the gut' feeling when you get a bit nervous.

"Play it well Leo, and remember what I said...As for your cybernetic arm even I can't make it look normal...But don't try to hide it I took that into account along your other eye so you should look great. Now enjoy yourself." Qiqi whispered to him as Leo gave a small gulp. "You got this Leo...It's a bit more fancy than you're used to but you can do this. At least I don't eat with my hands so I won't embarrass myself like that. But let's see the others gathered." He thought to himself as he gazed around the room. Food, drinks and the most important thing was his fellow competitors. A blonde haired young man who seemed to ooze confidence, a young brown haired teen who was on the shorter side of things...The fluffy looking teenage wolf girl. Despite visible signs of Ori and also looking like she had been through some fights in her life...And the fluffy looking...Tall young man!

Man those two fluffy looking people...He has heard of things that look fluffy but those ears! Those tails, especially the wolf girl's tail, looked like a perfect petting thing. But he should not just walk up and try to pet the tails and ears...He was smarter and not a creep after all. So to start things off...He simply walked over to a table with drinks and took a glass for himself. Smelled like...Wine? It's been a while since he had such a thing. But he did know you could use wine in cooking...If only he could get more wine one day to cook with more ingredients. But for now he should enjoy the food and drink like Qiqi suggested. Plenty of time to meet his fellows after all, of course that's if they actually would care for anyone speaking to them after all...

Sighing audibly, Ciara attempted a turn in her deeply constricting gown. Increments of black frilly fabric made up the draped collar, wrist ribbons and ends of her dress while a pattern of light and dark reds formed the base of the dress. A small dark bow was tied on the top of her head while similarly black ribbons were tied around the waist and stomach area. It was loud and deeply old-fashioned design and the worst part was her perpetrator was not finished with their preparations.

"Ciaaaara..!~" A voice cut through her efforts to lament, prompting the red-head to seek out a place to hide. Hearing scurrying and the pip-paps of barefeet, the manager would be greeted with silence, a fittingly white-noise quiet that made the paled-walled guest room that they were changing Ciara in seem truly empty. "Ciara! Come out! Don't make me count.." Only needing to saunter a few steps, the manager squatted down to look under one of the tables to find Ciara crouching under, closing her eyes shut and propping her hands atop her head.

Despite feeling Celty's breath, it seemed that Ciara believed the age-old notion that if she couldn't see her seeker then her seeker subsequently was unable to see her. A myth soon popped as Celty spoke to her face to face. "Don't be difficult."

Finally heeding her words, Ciara crawled from under the table and made her way to the middle of the room. Wearing a slight pout, her eyes formed a fitting glare as Celty reached for the add-ons they had placed onto the bed and begun to dress her with them. Her own fed-'upness readily apparent from her silent expression alone. Noticing this, Celty's face formed a similar stern scowl before speaking out with a huff of annoyance.

"Don't be such a wuss. My sense of style can't be that bad." As soon as the manager spoke those words, Ciara's eyes narrowed at Celty's transparent bubble-wrap top. Her autumn orbs fixated on the outlandish article of clothing before the slime girl wrenched her gaze back at Celty and cracked a smug smile.

"F*CK YOU DUDE!" With an expression that shifted from a studied calm to an almost primal fury, Celty let loose a growl at their mutant, tying the 7th ribbon around the girl's waist with an unkempt ferocity. Taking a few steps back, they looked at Ciara head-to-toe before nodding.

"You don't look half bad, all thanks to me, of course.." They placed a hand over their chin. Studying Ciara's simple expressions in an effort to derive a reaction, only to sigh once it was made clear that the slime girl was indifferent, as she was to everything. "Now, shoes. I don't wanna hear no moans. Put these on." Celty pulled out a pair of ruby heels, a shade of red that wasn't close to even matching the color of her dress.

Following her direct order, Ciara strolled over and slipped her feet inside. Her first few steps were horrendous, becoming close to tripping on her face after every pace. However, the slime-girl found her footing and was able to walk in her new shoes while only looking a little awkward.

"Now, I'll set you off. Again, to reiterate..don't eat like a slob and talk with people more. Ohoho." Smiling to themselves, Celty lightly shoved the balancing girl, seemingly enjoying watching her stumble in an attempt to regain her footing. Finally gaining her fill of watching her competitor trip about, they offered a hand to escort. Ciara clenching desperately onto their arm as they escorted her out and to the ballroom that their party was being held.

Celty deposited her at the door before waving her off. "Hehe..oh yeah, when meeting someone, ask them what their ideal spouse is!" Meaning their parting words as a joke, Ciara would undoubtedly mistake it as an order.

As she stumbled her way through the party room doors, her eyes instinctively zeroed in on any feast that accompanied the party, only to find the banquet was all the way on the other side of the room. Cursing her heeled feet, her curious gaze turned to study who had already arrived in the main lobby.

While her eyes could register the stimulus, her inability to read their emotions from a glance only made the gathered groups of people all the more confusing. It would be best for her to greet how she always has. Starting with the damper, sharp-eared gentleman in the lobby who was similarly studying the convened masses with a hostile expression.

At first, she only wanted a touch, leaning over and reaching to pat his back, only to trip on her heel and to stumble into him. Her attempts to grab at any handhold resulted in her wrapping her arms around the man's chest in an accidental caress, however she was in no hurry to remedy her mistake by pulling away. In fact, this was the best case scenario if she were able to dismiss conventional societal norms.

"Sorry." Her head angled up to meet his reactive over the shoulder gaze, Ciara seemingly uninterested in breaking off her hands as she continued to hold onto him with the upmost nonchalance.

From her deep touch, she could feel his emotions. Gathering notes of disgust and anger that seemingly festered inside of him like a perpetual flame. Her curiosity beckoned her to learn more, but her lack of passable etiquette made it difficult to naturally do so.

However..that did not deter her from trying.

"What is your ideal..spouse?" An outlandish question coupled with a butchered deadpan delivery, Ciara was setting the stage for a rather unforgettable first meeting.

A sense of unease filled him at the watchful eyes of a blonde. His gaze was unnerving somehow, he was different from the other mutants, his demeanor unsettling. Jax pulled his gaze away, an announcement letting them know that orientation would commence in thirty minutes. The snow leopard glanced at his reflection in the glass, straightening out his powder blue suit. Underneath it was a black shirt and paisley tie, not an outfit Jax would pick for himself, as it was most certainly too loud for his liking. Axel had picked it out, stressing the importance of standing out. If Jax wanted to attract the attention of sponsors, this was the way to go.

Jax's stomach was grumbling, that's right, he had skipped lunch, having to rush to get here. It was now nearly dinner time. There was a table laid out with an assortnment of food, since the dining room was currently closed. Jax had his eyes set on it when he noticed another gaze. A man, short, maybe a teenager? Gazing at him. Jax's tail flickered as he observed, his cool gaze settling on him. He veered from the food table, heading in the direction of the lounge.

Cybernetics, those were unmistakable, but they were expensive. How had a mutant gotten their hands on it? Jax stopped a few feet away from the man, taking him in. He was definitely older, with slight wrinkles around his eyes, probably from laughing or smiling in abundance. The mutant had scales, almost unnoticable and an unmistakable cybernetic arm. Was it stolen? It wasn't uncommon for mutants to fish from human trash.

No, from up close, it was a little more rustic, not shiny enough or flashy enough to be human made. "I'm impressed," Jax would not lean in closer to take a look, as that was rude. Then again, he was rasied by humans and not mutants, who seemed to have no qualms with entering your personal space without warning. "Did you make that arm?" Jax extended a hand, where were his manners? "My name is Jax, I'm a Doctor, so your cybernetics caught my attention." Or at least, he was a Doctor before entering this game.

Of course, he had no real degree or oath and his training came from the woman that had raised him after he had escaped the ships, but Jax never let an injured mutant slip through his fingers. People traveled from far and wide across the Tundra to come to him. He knew plants and herbs that could stop a fever, six different types of stitches to sew cuts, and how to diagnose various ailments based on vague symptoms.

"You must be pretty handy with a set of tools." Someone to make note of, depending on his answer. Perhaps in the future, an alliance might be in order. Jax was already thinking strategically, attempting to maximize his chances of survival.

While Leo was sparingly sipping from his glass of wine being mindful not to drink himself to a stupor before he could actually do an interview. His attention soon picked up the sound of footsteps approaching him and the tall young man with a suit and his fluffy assets had approached him and commented on his cybernetic arm. Well, he seemed amicable enough. For one he was actually making small talk with him for one. He gave a small smile in response. "Ah noticed my arm? Yeah I made it myself after I lost it in an accident. I was working on an old generator, thing was unstable and I did my best to get it working. It exploded taking my arm with it but I managed to keep the whole thing from going up in flames...So I did my best to salvage enough parts and after making a new arm and making sure my organic bits worked well with the mechanical parts I was almost as good as new." He gave a small nervous laugh. At least his leg and eye were from things out of his control compared to the explosion.

"But pleased to meet you doctor. I'm just your normal hard working cook and mechanic lizardman from Belinian. Names Leo. Leo Behrends. I hope we can get along despite these death games looming over us." He introduced himself raising his glass a little bit. "Truth be told, I don't intend to actually cause anyone harm or injury. Call me an idiot, but I want to help the others. But I'm surprised a doctor like you is participating in these games...Then again I have no right to judge, I signed up knowing the risks to my life so honestly I'm probably the only friendly hopeful idiot that came here." He added with a smile, scratching the back of his head with his organic hand before laughing nervously.

Probably not the best idea to simply just speak freely, then again the man Leo was talking to had no reason to trust him of course. Appearing friendly in a death game for glory and wealth? Either you really are an idiot or you are trying to act nice to kill people. At least that what most people would assume. But he hoped they could get along...Of course he kept his mouth closed about his ears and tails. He rather not come out as weird.

Jax listened to the story of the generator, his tail swishing with casual interest. So the reptile had made it then? That was what Jax had wanted to know. It seemed that the boy (man? Jax had yet to make up his mind) was quite handy, considering his tale of tinkering with a highly dangerous and explosive device. "That sounds quite precarious," Jax responded, realizing that the story had ended and he had yet to say anything. "I've treated quite a few burns," Jax had even amputated limbs, as it was sometimes necessary, although unfortunate. It was probably Jax's least favorite part of medicine.

You couldn't save everyone, it was a lesson he had learned early on. As much as you wanted to, as much as you tried, some would simply never recover. Some did not have the fortitude to bounce back.

This man (boy?) seemed to not only have the resiliance, but the skill set to match it. Jax would definitely file this information away, he could prove useful in the future. He introduced himself as Leo, a lizard mutant. Odd, Jax had never considered introducing himself with the species he was mixed with. He had always assumed it was snow leapord, since that was what he was told, but Jax had always wodnered if there was something else mixed in with his blood, since he did not know who donated the necessary parts to make him.

He had joined to help others? Jax couldn't help but laugh. "That is a strange reason to join a killing game." No, Jax decided, nevermind. This was too obscene, someone that signed up for a game of death to help others? There was no way he was going to last very long. Did he have any practical skills aside from being a mechanic? Could he make weapons? Any fighting ability?

Jax wanted an equal partnership, not a possible burden he would have to protect and eventually turn on. "You seem very kind Leo, but also a bit confused. This isn't a place you come to to help others," even Jax had his reasons for joining. He wanted to see his sisters again and the only way to guarantee that was to kill. Leo expressed surprise that a doctor would join these games. His skills would only serve as an advantage, should he need them later on.

Unless... Leo was lying and didn't want to reveal his motivation.

"I think you are mistaken, I may be a doctor, but I also know a great many ways to kill a man." It was not a threat, just a casual comment. "I'm sure you must understand, however, that everyone here has something they are after. You're a friendly guy so I will give you a word of advice, don't trust anyone here. They will not hesitate to turn on you if it will give them the upper hand."

Jax was getting hungry, he wanted to make sure that he could get something to eat before orientation started.

Leo listened to the Leopard man speak about some of his experiences as a doctor, but just one thing about treating a few burns. Of course with no surprise to Leo, his conversational partner of course commented on his choice to join a killing game as strange, and gave him a few important tips that he of course took. It would be happy thinking and blind optimism to believe everyone's words at face value, and he knew not everyone did not have the best of intentions in this game. Some of course were willing to kill at all costs to make a better life...Of course the doctor of course explained that he knew how to kill people...Working with a person's body and learning where all the vital parts were rather handy to keep people alive...Or kill them...

He soon nodded after listening to Jax. "Thanks for the advice, I know I am not going to be a hero and convince everyone to not kill each other. Times are tough after all, people have to eat, people have to drink, people need medicine and people want their family and friends to have a better life. And the rewards offered upon winning this game of death is enough to last your whole life and then some." He started taking a sip from his wine wishing he had a smoke instead of a glass of wine while having casual conversation. "But still, I'm 48 years old and so far the only winning I see are those who make bets deciding who is going to die first. I just feel like some of the others have plenty to live for you know. I mean I'm basically an old man at this point." He gave a small chuckle pointing to his white hair.

"I lived a good life so far, salvaging cool mechanical scrap, coming up with cooking recipes for the future generation to give it a try to make their meals much better than what most can scrounge up. Made a toaster and made something resembling toast. But look at the others, most look young and rough around the edges. They participated in this death game possibly because they have no other option. It’s either hit a dead end or crawl through hell and hellfire for the comfiest bed in the world. I wanna at least give them a hand you know? Even if they don't change their mind I don't want them to rush to their deaths. Some have families, loved ones and friends who could miss them. So I'm gonna cheer them up a little. Even if its dumb in many peoples eyes...Oh and don't worry about me not doing anything to protect myself." He shook his head.

"I'm not going to act like some martyr, doing such a thing won't really do anything. And it's not like I won't be prepared to defend myself if someone tries to kill me. I dislike fighting but I won't simply lay down my arms to be killed. With age comes experience you know? I know the landscape like the back of my hand...Metal hand I guess?" He gave another small chuckle.

"Still...I'm not just worried about the other contestants. I'm more worried about everything surrounding this death game. I been alive long enough and sometimes you can sense things...Or maybe its because my lizard like instincts are just naturally aware...Its still entertainment for people after all...And some called it bonding but I don't think you can really bond watching people murder each other for wealth and reward...But that's just me, sorry for jabbing on like that. But it's nice to talk to other people, I mostly interacted with fellow lizardmen, so seeing someone like you is rather interesting. We are all reptilian like and we work with a lot of metal and scrap to build. So seeing something fluffy is a legendary luxury." He softly laughed.

Perhaps it was too early to discount Leo after all. He would not go down without a fight. Still, his motviation made no sense, leading Jax that he had reason to believe that Leo was lying to him. Alright, Leo did not have to share why he had signed up for this contest, Jax would not either. No one was privy to that information, at least, until Axel would feel the need to broadcast it to the world. Leo was older than he looked, Jax was impressed. He would not have pegged Leo for 48. 25 at the most, but 48? Jax's tail swished. "You look awfully young." Was there something in the lizard people that allowed them to retain their youthfulness? Or was it simply a family gene? Jax would have to research this further if he had the time.

"The game is merely a ruse," Jax's voice was low, tail flickering in annoyance. He recalled living on the ships, being forced to watch the Games. "It's an excuse to thin the herd," to Jax, the Games had always been a way to instill a false sense of hope. Yet, here he was, using it as an excuse to board Father in what might be a desperate attempt to rescue his sisters from living as mutant toys for the rest of their lives. Jax didn't know how much longer he had left. His body was artificial, his life span was not guaranteed. Supposedly, Leo had never met anything outside of the lizard species. Interesting, that would add to his strange sense of priorities. "I suppose a meeting like this might be considered a luxury." You had mutants from all over New Earth.

Isolation can do strange things to the mind. "Interesting, well Leo, it was a pleasure meeting you. I am going to have to excuse myself, as I would like to get something to eat before orientation starts." With only a few minutes left until it began, Jax was not sure when they would be given food next. He headed towards the food table, slightly disappointed to find that it was really only snacks. Beautifully frosted cakes, a large assortment of fresh cookies, a rainbow of puddings, and glasses of wine; all set delicately on multi-tiered trays on top of a holographic tablecloth. Everything was small, meant to be eaten in only a few bites to avoid a mess. That made sense, Jax thought, considering the rather expensive clothing they had been adorned in.

What to pick? His mind went over the options. Wine? No, it was still too early for a drink. Cookies would provide short term satisfaction, but he would have to eat four or five of them for temporary satiation. Cake was a better option, but the frosting might prove problematic should it get on his light colored suit. His gaze turned towards the pudding, in small crystal cups which reflected the light of the tablecloth. An idea came to mind, his tail swishing in delight of his sudden genius. Jax picked up a small crystal cup of chocolate pudding and two square shaped cookies, he could crumble the cookies into the pudding for a combination of satiation and satisfaction.

Now, where to sit? The lounge was an easy option, as it had plenty of space to spread out, but wandering back into that territory could mean re-encountering Leo and that would be awkward considering Jax had just excused himself. The lawn seemed to be a popular choice, but Jax was worried about potential grass stains. The gym was an immediate no, that was no place for food. The dining room? Yes, that seemed to be the best option. There were a few other mutants there, each occupying their own table with their own selection of food. Jax settled himself on a chair that was a bit too short, his tail sticking out awkwardly behind him. He was careful as he crumbled the first cookie into his pudding, minimizing crumb spillage.

"Hello there," Jax looked up, having just taken a bite of his concoction when he noticed a figure standing over the table. "Do you mind if I join you?" Slightly annoyed, Jax's eyes darted left and right, indicating that there were plenty of other seats. The figure in question had skin that reminded him of the night sky and hair the color of starlight. She was adorned in a red dress with a deep plunge and a mask with a single eye over it. "Not at all," Jax scooted his dessert slightly closer to himself.

The woman had a plate of cookies, each a various shade and shape. "I couldn't help but notice you Mr...."

"Please, call me Jax," the snow leopard offered a hand. The other mutant shook it daintily, but he could tell her grip had strength to it. "Mr. Jax, I noticed you were sitting all by your lonesome self." Jax attempted to disguise his annoyance and desire to be alone with a smile. "Well, I was rather hungry." He replied, the woman reflecting his smile with one of her own. "My name is Eclipse," she picked up one of her cookies and waved it just underneath his nose. "And I too am absolutely starving." His tail stiffened, hair standing up on edge.

Ah, so that was her intention.

When the Leopard Man mentioned that he looked young for his age. Leo nodded in response to this...Actually now that he thought about it he did look young...In fact his parents only had a few wrinkles but were still young and active. Heck his own mother could easily beat him in arm wrestle for a few hours without breaking a sweat...Huh...It was certainly interesting to know more about others. But their conversation soon came to an end as his conversational partner expressed his want to get some food before orientation starts. He simply nodded in response. "The pleasure is mine, thanks for speaking to me. I appreciate it." He gave a thankful nod in reply as speaking of food, Leo wanted to check up on the food at the table he was standing at. He got some wine at the table but he might as well eat while he was at it.

Looking at the table, his eyes sparkled over all the fresh and delicious smelling snacks and finger foods on display for anyone to consume. Well, if this was for them then he would help himself to the food! He grabbed a plate and grabbed a fork...Once he got his utensils he went from food to food. Taking a cookie, some pudding, some cake, some crackers, some fruit...He just kept on going until he put one of everything upon his plate. The chef inside of him wanted to taste all foods available and think of ways to recreate it. As such he began carefully taking a bite out each delicacy and began to analyze the ingredients used. "Delicious...I think this is sugar...A lot of these have sugar in them. As for every other item...I have no clue but the tastes seem re-creatable...But this is really good! I wonder how they taste combined now..." He thought to himself as he nodded to himself as he began to combine multiple snacks together, to taste them to see which one worked and what others were not as great.

After his taste testing he felt himself much more full than before, and he kept a mental note in his mind about recipes he should write down on some paper for the future. Man...Now that he thought about it he needed a new book to write down his recipes since he left his back home for...In the event he did not return from this game...But that's a different issue to worry about. For now he looked around and noticed a comfy looking chair and sat down. Woah! The chair's were nice and soft! Amazing! This beats sleeping on an old mattress any day! But for now he decided to now drink from his wine glass to wash down the taste of all the food he has just eaten. Time to just rest, he guessed, I mean what are the chances there is another friendly person who walks up to people and wants to talk? In a death game at that...Well...He could go around...But first he wanted to enjoy this chair first.

The foyer began to illuminate, lights flashed from all sides, holo pods illuminating as fog filled the center of the room. "Ladies and gentlemen, mutants both big and small, please make your way to the foyer and put your hands together for this year's Overseers, Kore Mars and Yeqon Cryo!" They rose from a podium in the center, Kore's smile so wide, her cheeks hurt. It wasn't exaggerated, Kore was truly eager for this moment, having been waiting for it for so long. Kore stepped off of the podium first. She and Yeqon had done three run throughs of the orientation speech, not that he would say much to begin with, but hopefully he remembered his part.

Kore looked out at the crowd, at the fifty hopefuls whose faces were a mix of bemusement, entertainment, and fear. She swished her cape over her shoulder, Kore's form illuminated by the lights, the gold in her outfit sparkling as she took her place in center-stage. "Welcome everyone!" A hover mic floated near her, capturing her voice so that the speaker hidden throughout the area could make sure that everyone would hear. "I am sure you're all very eager to get to tonight's party, but first, we have a brief orientation with some important rules!"

"We're your hosts, Kore and-" she glanced at Yeqon, hoping that he was paying attention. "Let's get right into it," Kore clapped her hands together, the holograms suddenly changing to display the rules. "We have a few rules for the mutant living corridors. Our first and most important rule, is that you must wear your tag at all times. Those tags are your key to the world card and without them, you won't be able to enter the rooms or unlock your door." Kore's smile eased a bit, the tags were akin to wrist chips, only less permanent, since injecting a mutant with a small microchip wasn't exactly efficient. Not to mention the distrust mutants already had towards the humans.

"Our second rule is, please do not attempt to leave the living space. This is an area just for you all and if you are found wandering the ship, unescorted, you will be subject to discharge from the games." This was an important rule, for the safety of the humans. Not that the door would open from the inside anyway. "Our third rule! No violence in the hallways! Sparring is allowed in the gym, but murder is only allowed in the Game!"

Did they understand at all? Were the rules registering in their pea sized brains? Kore hoped so. "Those are the three most important rules! The rest can be found in your handbooks in your rooms. As for other important information, everything we talk about tonight will be in your handbooks." Kore clapped her hands together, glancing at Yeqon again to see what he was up to.

"Now, the Games will take you through four different environments. Before each game, your manager will brief you. You have one week until the first Game begins, during which you'll each have several interviews for the audience to get to know you! You'll want to nail these interviews, since the more sponsors you have, the more mini prizes you'll earn during the Games! This can be anything from a bowl of soup, to a jacket!" The screens illuminated to show clips from past years, of sponsored items being delivered to contestants.

"Your biggest interview will take place the evening before the Game begins. As for the space around you, you are free to use it to prepare! Eat to your heart's content, train until your arms fall off, and relax! Remember, the only way to back out is between Games, so make sure you know what you're doing! Now that, that's over with, let the party begin!" Balloons and colorful streamers suddenly rained from the ceiling. Music played from the speakers and the door opened to allow potential sponsors and managers in.

"What do you think Yeqon?" Kore turned to him, her smile sparkling. "See any potential winners?"

Lights, camera and action...What a fitting thing that comes to mind when the rather extravagant introduction happened as their host who introduced herself as Kore was giving them the rundown and rules. Of course for Leo after watching the games enough times he heard the rules enough times for it to be ingrained in his brain. But he was impressed by the choreography of the lights and mist that accompanied her speech. Looks like she was one for making things grand. So once her speech was over with streamers and balloons falling accompanied by music he began to applaud her performance. It was a good speech...Save for the fact that she was rather energetic for a host in a death game...

Leo gave a small sigh as he took another sip from his wine and looked around the room, Qiqi was busy talking to some people he did not know and saw her point to him causing the people she was talking at to look at him for a brief moment before turning their attention back to her. A blonde haired guy was seemingly in the middle of a romantic dance with a red haired girl who did not look all that fazed...The wolf girl looked like she was ready to rip someone's head off...And a bunch of others either interacting or avoiding people. Well he had his fill of a comfy chair for one day, might as well get up and see who was up for a talk. And that he did.

However his little adventure came to a halt as he saw Qiqi leading three women to his location. Uh oh...Look presentable Leo...Any crumbs...No, thank goodness...He took a breath as he made himself look as presentable as he could. Cup that was full with wine in hand, suit with no food on it and a small smile. The group of four soon were within arms reach of him. "So this is the mutant you are managing Qiqi? I would think you were telling us a lie if it were not for the fact of that robotic arm he has. What fine work on this specimen." One woman dressed with a sparkling blue dress spoke as she slowly examined him and slowly walked around him like he was some sort of piece of art.

"I'm glad you enjoy this Miss. This is my newest makeup product that I have been perfecting, although he may not be feminine or female. As you three can see even this oil slicked mutant looks like a brilliant man. And if a mutant can look like this imagine that on your beautiful bodies ladies. This would be perfect for any model." She smiled as she stood next to Leo looking proud. This little spiel caused the women to whisper among each other, nodding softly seemingly discussing among each other. Of course with his ears more alert than a normal human he could listen to what they were talking about, but when they were simply complimenting the work done and talking about business he decided not to listen any more as he did not need to know.

Soon after they finished their discussion the three turned to Qiqi with smiles. "We are greatly impressed by your work. We would like to schedule a time for a Fotoshoot. I believe we have a few pages available in this month's beauty section. And when the girls see that section on their Holo Tab's they will simply eat it up. Now come, let us leave this mutant behind for now to further discuss details." The woman in the blue dress spoke as the four left as quickly as they appeared...Well...He felt like an object at that moment but that was to be expected...But he soon sighed once more taking a sip from his glass. At least he hoped he made a good impression but at least he could return to see who he could talk to...It was best to make some allies at least...But who to talk to...From what he can see everyone seemed to be busy. This made this a bit difficult. And there was a good chance he would be presented to more people from his manager...He ultimately decided to sit back down. Might as well wait until things calm down a bit. This was after all where people were going to meet potential sponsors, and they might decide whether you get vital aid when you're down on your luck during the game or left to die...

As such he decided to put his faith in Qiqi...If his manager was getting people to look at him then he could be hopeful that some sponsors would look his way.

Oh boy...He has been sitting on his chair for long enough to feel that the cushion was shaping up to fit his backside better...He can talk fine but approaching these people was definitely a challenge...People were talking to each other, exacting pleasantries or displeasures, eating and all manners of other things. Simply just strutting in when a lot of people were busy in the main lobby was definitely not going to work for him. Leo gave a small sigh and a smile as he stood up and walked over to one of the food tables and grabbed some cake, cookies and filled up his glass with juice instead of wine. He rather not drink himself under the table...And Juice would at least quench some of his thirst.

Once he filled up on food and drink he decided to leave the bustling and noisy lobby outside to where there was a tree and grass overlooking a nice view of the clouds behind a window. Man...This was certainly peaceful...He dug into his suit feeling around for a pack but realized he turned those in...And there was a sign that said no smoking anyways so even if he had his cigarettes he would not be able to smoke anyways. A shame as well, this was a perfect scenario to just sit back and just admire the passing of time. "Well...That's too bad, I guess I might as well work on making a crust for this pie instead...Not quite a smoke but at least its productive." He laughed to himself as he approached a patch of grass and noticed a feminine figure already simply sitting there peacefully...Long teal colored hair, small little goat like horns, and a...Dress? Outfit? He was never much of a fashion person so clothing was as foreign to him as the moon in the sky...But that was besides the point, the woman who was sitting soon plucked some blades of grass and began eating it.

With his curiosity peaked by this he made himself known as he approached. "Hey there, mind if I take a seat as well?" He called out and gave a small friendly wave as the woman looked back to him, a bit jolted by his sudden words but quickly calmed down. She gave a nod in response as Leo took a seat and began to fiddle with the cookies on the plate. "Thanks, I promise I'm not trying to be weird or anything. I wanted to talk to more people but the lobby is packed with people so trying to get to know people was a bit of a challenge...My name is Leo, Leo Behrends." He gave a small smile as he spoke as the woman nodded and looked at the plate in his hands. "I'm Safia, and what are you eating?" She asked as the white haired lizard man nodded. "I think its cake and...Small circles like sweet things. I actually don't know the name but they taste nice. Ah, if you don't mind actually do you wanna try out one of my recipes? It's a cake with the circle sweets crushed into crumbs and used as a crust." He offered the plate to Safia. Of course...She looked at him with a questionable stare...Yeah...When a person meets you for the first time, in a death game, and offers you food...Not everyone is going to be trusting of that.

Leo took his fork and cut off a piece of cake and put it in his mouth. "I promise it's safe." He gave a small smile as Safia eventually took his plate and began to eat the cake. He gave a small sigh as he closed his eyes. Well he broke the ice at the very least. But he just hopes she likes the three pieces of his custom recipe. "Good." Came the response of Safia as Leo opened his eyes and saw a plate devoid of all food on it. Wait a minute he just closed his eyes for less than ten seconds...Well...Despite how fast she ate it there was a small smile on her face. And a small feeling of accomplishment fluttered in his chest. Although he did not cook it, he took joy knowing that a recipe made on the fly was good for someone. "I'm glad you enjoyed it. I'm actually a cook but since we don't have to forage around for ingredients to cook while we are up here I decided to open my mind up some more to see what sort of combinations I could come up with and see if I can replicate some things when we are no longer on Father...Anyways, I should not bother you for too long. Take care of yourself Safia." Leo spoke as he stood up and began to walk away to a nice spot and sat down to watch the clouds for a bit. He took a sip of his juice as he relaxed.

"Making better relations through this game?...That's as believable as using a pastry as a generator cog and believing it will last for a whole day...I have to talk to more people and explore more. The more I know the better my chances to help others here...Still...Eating grass...Hrm..." Leo thought to himself as he plucked a blade of grass and took a bite out of it. "Bleh! Tasted like artificial sewage!" He coughed and spat out the blade of grass. That was dumb...Nice going Leo...

As Leo stared out the windows of the ship, his mind began to wander as he did not find himself occupied with anything at the moment...Memories of his childhood...Now those were some sweet memories...He gave a soft sigh as he gazed into the clouds. "Man...I still remember the time I got interested in cooking because of my mother...Now that was an interesting experience." He laughed to himself as his head wandered back to when he was but a child...And when parts of his body was not mechanical...

It was a warm summer day, he could remember it like yesterday. Although his love for engineering was already strong at this time his passion for cooking was ignited at that time. He was sitting around the table, and his mother was making some toast they had finally obtained after waiting patiently for the moment to harvest crops and turn the...'wheat' into bread and finally it was being cooked into toast on a pan.

The smell of butter filled the air as Leo waited with bated breath at the table while his father was watching the Holo-vision set and watching the news. Soon enough three sets of plates arrived from his smiling mother. "Everyone's favorite toast! Enjoy!" She exclaimed happily as Leo's eyes sparkled, marveling the toast. Buttery looking, nice and toasted no doubt capable of producing an audible crunch once one bit into it...The food of the breakfast gods...And he was finally going to eat this legendary food!

The little Leo picked up his toast with his hands, the smell of the toast getting stronger...Nirvana was within his grasp and he bit into it...However the mood entirely changed as the sparkling eyed boy looked disappointed. "Its burned...You have failed the breakfast gods mom..." Little Leo stated as his mothers rosy attitude immediately changed as she gritted her teeth and suddenly stood up and grabbed Leo's toast and shoved it in his mouth. "It's been 5 years since I last cooked toast! We don't waste in this house anyways! If you don't like my cooking then cook yourself and lets see if you have it easier Leo!" She stated as Leo was struggling with burnt toast in his mouth...

And it was from that day Leo vowed to never upset his mother, and to become a better cook than her...

"Ship command to Leo...You awake in that head of yours?" The sound of Qiqi caught his attention as he was pulled from his thoughts. "Sorry about that Miss Qiqi...I was absorbed in my thoughts about the past. Do you need me to meet with more people?" He nervously scratched the back of his head as he had just ignored his manager absorbed in his thoughts. "Well at least you apologized. No, if you're absorbed in your thoughts to the point that me calling out to you did not register what I said, you should retire for the day. We have a day of training and appointments tomorrow so I need you at your best for the week to come. Come on." She dragged him onto his feet as he nodded.

"Thanks Qiqi...I should sleep indeed. Long day tomorrow so I'm going to put my 110% into it. I'll see you in the morning at your office or...When you fetch me..." Leo pondered as Qiqi spoke up. "Meet me in my office tomorrow. You know the way by now." She replied as she walked off.

Yeah...A good night's rest seemed like a good idea. He would soon leave the bustle of the party and head to his room. There he undressed from the fancy clothing he wore and folded them before flopping on his new soft bed...Sleep came quickly due to this.

Location: Old Housing Block: A few years ago

The smell of smoke filled the air as a white haired man was shifting some rubble inside a dilapidated house that had long since crumbled away. With a trusty smoke glued in his mouth, he enjoyed this rather relaxing part of his life. Shifting through rubble to look for old abandoned salvage that he could bring back with him, along with anything else that was of value. Of course so far he only found old rusted cans, lots of worn out stone and dust. So far everything was as expected, a slow day of exploration which was rather common for Leo these days.

After a few hours of backbreaking work, Leo soon moved a heavy stone slab using a piece of pipe and discovered a jackpot, wedged between two pieces of stone was the remains of some electronic scrap. Looked like it could still be salvaged and re-purposed into something new. For a engineer like Leo something like this was equal to gold for a prospector and as such a smile formed on his face as he grabbed the scrap and after a bit of careful force freed the scrap and puffed a cloud of smoke before he put his findings in his bag.

"Phew...Nothing beats a good days work like this. I should head back home, my pack is nearly full of scrap so I can make a bunch of new equipment and patch my old stuff. Maybe I can work on the town's generator...It's getting rather old, and I should do a favor for our leader. She could use a breath of fresh air once in a while and not worry." He nodded to himself as he heard something shuffling around.

Curious by the sound he turned his head and looked around until his head looked upwards and noticed a figure in patchy clothing on top of a pile of rubble with a pistol...And he saw it being aimed at him...A blast...His vision went half red as he moved...Ah...He was ambushed...

Location: Father

Leo woke up with a jolt as he looked around...A nightmare? Technically it was a moment in his past suddenly cut off at a moment like that...But in this case that was considered a nightmare. He gave a sigh to himself as he stretched a bit, no use in worrying about a scary dream he had because he had a new day ahead of him. He got up from his bed and entered the bathroom. So clean and pristine...Nothing like back home. This was luxury at its finest...Even the toilet looked more well kept than his whole whole house put together...Jeeze this was like a whole other world.

After washing his face with a sink and taking a while examining the fancy shower and its technical side of things before actually using it blasting himself with hot water after finding out what each button did he soon stepped outside with a towel draped around him. Although the sun was not quite visible it was indeed a good morning! A hot shower that was almost unheard of back home...A bed that was not made of old scrap and ragged cloth...Despite the threat of entering a death game, life was pretty nice so far.

After a bit of rummaging around in his wardrobe he got a nice fancy suit and dress pants from his wardrobe and took a moment to stand in front of a mirror and used his hands to make his hair look...As neat as it could. Qiqi was working on his looks yesterday so he wanted to help her out a bit by at least not look like a ragged mess...Even if he was not sure what 'good' looked like. But from what he seen during the party everyone seemed to like things straight and together...So he would just wing it...But he thought he looked good!

Once he was done he made sure his band was around his wrist which was pretty important not to lose and soon stepped outside his room. First things first...He was not sure what to do since he had no schedule but he might as well get some food, and maybe go for a run at the training area. Afterwards he should find Qiqi in her studio to see what was their plans for today. He nodded at his plan as he walked around and followed directions before he would arrive at the mess hall and after admiring all the simple technological marvels like a screen that continued to change images like a Holovision but not recorded...He would eventually order different types of food using the bracelet and got to eating and examining his food. All this food was brand new to him after all and he just needed to know it all...

Once his breakfast was both recorded and eaten he soon arrived at the next part of his plan, the gym. A good 30 minute run should get the blood flowing through his legs. It be bad to slack off after all...And as such he would soon look around and notice the many strange devices and machines. First he analyzed and examined them and tested them out to find out what each machine did until he finally settled on a machine that had something that allows you to run on it! Amazing...

And as such he began his workout...A start of a brand new day Leo...Things can only be good from here for the moment.

Thirty minutes sure does pass by more slowly when one does not have something to zone out doing...As much as Leo wanted to just take a nice seat in front of some old scrap and hammering away at it to get it in working order...There was no such opportunity to do that...Or cook...Or salvage...Or really do anything but talk and train on Father. Not that is was a bad thing, he was content to be on a ship which was basically a safe haven for everyone living on it...But growing up around all the scrap and engineering he can't help but feel a bit...Lacking at the moment. He was not on a first name basis with everyone but Qiqi at the moment...And he was sure that a lot of the people on this ship hated mutants or his fellow competitors were not as avid as talking like that doctor he met. With a small sigh he simply decided to indulge his engineering curiosity by looking around the ship and checking everything from the lights to the automated doors.

Of course, it did not take long until Leo returned back to Qiqi's studio as the thirty minute time limit was almost over. Once he had arrived, she motioned for him to follow her...Oh boy...His first interview...This was not only important for him but of course this was probably important for his manager as well. Obviously he was going to be on his best behavior but he was a little nervous meeting whoever Qiqi had in mind, these people were sponsors after all...They might be very famous people on this ship and here he was a simple engineering lizardman who also could cook meeting some proud figures...But with a confident nod he decided as long as he was doing good then he had nothing to worry about surely! No use thinking on the bad after all.

Soon enough after walking down the hallways making many turns they soon entered a room. The light were a bit dim but...Uh...Actually Leo had no clue what this place was. All he knew is he was in a room with a large stage, seats and the lights were dim. Of course his robotic eye did not have as much problem seeing in the dark but so far he saw no signs of life as Qiqi led him to the stage and stood on it. After a minute of waiting from behind the curtains three women in...Brilliant and colorful dresses stepped out. Now, he may have been to fashion expert but it was clear that he was looking at three women who had good looks. And the aura they had he could just feel it...Like some air of royalty or something...He did not exactly know but it was clear these ladies were more than they seemed...Maybe...

"Ah Qiqi! So this is your mutant you were assigned? Ah how lucky, I heard that most mutants were always filthy, rude and lacked a level of class. I even heard of some silly wolf girl who has a nasty bark about her. But here you are sending us pictures about this mutant looking like quite...Classy...A shame he was not a woman to really make your makeup shine no?" The woman in a red dress and a...handheld thing in her hand...What was it...A fan! Man its been awhile since he had seen those! Of course it was made of paper and not metal but it was indeed a fan.

"You work with what you got. But I am indeed glad to have someone who is not only respectful and mannered, but also helps me out with my work. As you can see in the flesh he looks exactly like the images I have sent you. Despite him being a mutant with a bit of care I have fully made him look very pleasing to the eye, even so far as to even pass as a human. Of course if this is how he looks like, imagine you Madame Roe with your outfits and my makeup products. One can say you can reach a new level of beauty. But we can talk about business another time." Qiqi spoke in a polite manner as she motioned to Leo as the three women walked up to him. Remain calm Leo...He was not sure what was going on but this was no doubt very important.

"So your this Leo mutant..." Roe, the woman who seemed to be the head of the group she came with was walking in a circle around him...slowly...Her red eyes observing him like a hawk, examining him like he would do when doing thorough maintenance on a machine...Of course she was not hands on...Yeah bad analogy Leo...But for the moment she seemed to be examining him wit her eyes. However she soon stopped near the left side of his body and took his mechanical arm in her hands. "I never quite seen a mechanical arm like this, looks worn but well kept. Pray tell where did you find an arm like this on that poisoned ground?" Roe asked as Leo perked up. Well if it was one topic he was good at talking about...It was about machines and the like.

"Well um...Madame Roe, I built the arm myself after a few years of salvaging parts along with my eye and leg. I'm an engineer where I come from so making parts comes naturally to me...But its not often I have to make replacement parts when I lose my limbs...I try not to do that." Leo nervously laughed a bit as he told this to her earning a small nod by Roe and the two women who accompanied her. "An engineer, how interesting...And being able to make a mechanical limb from salvage and for it to work with no problems. What a very interesting one you found Qiqi..." Roe commented as she walked around his body some more placing her hand under his chin to examine his face more closely. "Oh, your makeup really does wonders for the face Qiqi. It even works for the mutant as well, but his skin...Certainly feels clammy...A Lizardman mutant? Could have fooled me..." She soon let go of his chin before walking back to her group.

"Well, that's enough of our little examination. I see a lot of potential here Qiqi, it be a shame if our newest male model were to meet an unfortunate end in the games. That would be bad for both of us. So I propose this Qiqi, in the next few weeks I want your newest product ready for sale. Along with you giving us a free set when we run out. In return I will offer my support to your mutant. As much as I would like to talk more today we have lots to do today so we shall have to schedule another interview in the future." Roe spoke as Qiqi gave a small nod, looks like things were going the way she wanted it to go. "A good offer Madame Roe. I will have my line of products ready in two weeks from now. And you and your group will be the first in line to receive my makeup in return for your support. I have much more to discuss but as you are also busy we shall wait until next time you are free." She replied back as Roe and the other two women began to take their leave.

As they were finally out of sight Leo took a deep sigh of relief. "Man her gaze was piercing!...But it looks like things went well..." He spoke as his gaze met Qiqi's who had something burning in her eyes...She looked like she had a lot of ideas churning in that head of hers. Looks like the fires were lit for her...With this success she looked ready for the next interview.

"That was but the first step Leo, even if you are now sponsored we have to make you really pop. At the moment they are going to only send you a small foot blanket and rely on you to do all the rest while you are there. But if you make it so that your value is far greater to encourage them to invest more in you they may be inclined to send even better supplies to you. Everything is going perfectly so far, with my wit we are going to make sure you don't die in the game." Qiqi proudly spoke as she grabbed his arm and began to drag him along. "For now, I am going to need you for the next few hours. I have more makeup that's needs perfection before I'm satisfied putting it out on the market. So I'm going to need your face for the time being." She spoke as Leo only nodded in response.

Well, like he had a choice in the matter. But why did he feel something was going to happen in the week to come...That fire she had in her eyes...What in the name of his mother was she planning to do in the next interviews?...Well surely it wont be that bad right? He just probably had to put some makeup on as usual. That much he can do. And it seems Qiqi is getting things for it so it helps her out same way she helped him out. No doubt things were going to go well for him!

But for now he was soon dragged back to the studio and sat down on a chair. Once situated Qiqi began working on him once again applying makeup as usual as she was hard at work. Well not much he can do at the moment but close his eyes and let her work.
