Full name:Caleb Mason

Age:22

Power:Air

Status:Guardian Angel

Who are you guarding:He is not yet assigned to anyone

Personality:ImageCaleb is easy going and not one to pick a fight but should some poor souls attempt to provoke him, the wrath will be known, for Caleb has a temper underneath the calm surface. He doesn't express his feelings openly and his inner self is contained and secretive. He avoids talking about his emotions and many people never really know how Caleb feels. Caleb's stubborn streak is what gives his independence. He likes to do things his way. He is perfectly fine on being alone, this way things get done they way he wants them to be done.
The few people he holds dear, are guarded and protected. His friends are treated like family and he is fiercely loyal and dependable. People are attracted to Caleb's enthusiasm for life and his warm spirit. He has the ability to lift up one's spirits and provide encouragement when times are rough. Caleb might be too caught up in himself and be very self-centered but he is never too self-absorbed to help anyone who needs it.
Caleb loves the new and extraordinary, he despises dull, regular routines and if this is what he is faced with, he will simply create his own drama and excitement. This makes Caleb prone to stir up a situation out of nowhere just for something to keep his vivacious temperament satisfied. Caleb has an amazing ability to bounce back from any feelings of despair or unfortunate events. He doesn't like to be unhappy, it hurts his pride so he will take matters into his own hands and make things right again.

With all the pressure that was put on them, Caleb became a trouble makers. Pulling pranks on the other students and even the teachers, he always ended up in detentions. The only thing that kept him from being thrown out of the school were his perfect grades. When they graduated his brother Caden got assigned as a guardian, while Caleb didn't. The principal and Mrs. Mayworth left with Joshua, while Ivy stayed until she finished her homework. After she was done, she packed her things and headed home. She had to hurry up if she wanted to change her clothes before rushing to her part time job in a small cafe a few blocks away. Just as she was unlocking her door the phone started ringing. She thew her bang on the couch and picked it up.
"Hello?" She asked while she tried to untie the laces on her sneakers with one hand.
"Hey kiddo."
"Mathew?" She glanced at the clock on the wall. "It's rare for you to call at this time. What happened?" She walked into her room and searched for her uniform, which was a simple white shirt with the cafe's logo on it and and a simple cut black skirt.
"Well, your Principal has called me to tell me that you have been sent to detention. What have you done this time?" His voice sounded adult like, well he WAS an adult but he never really used that tone with Ivy. He sounded more like a father than brother. "I defended my lab partner. Is that wrong?" There was a silence, then Mathew spoke again.
"You got into a fight?"
"No. I just told the teacher that it wasn't my lab partner who throw the sand-y thing we were working with at her. But of course those jerks who really did it have rich parents and the teacher believed them and not us." She heard him sigh. "What?" She asked a bit frustrated.
"Nothing. Just you and your kindness." Looking at the clock she realized that if she didn't start getting ready now, she will surely be late for her job.
"Look, I have to go now or I'll be late." "Okay. Be good, kiddo. Love you."
"Love you, too Matt." She hung up and rushed to get ready.

*** Caleb ***

Caleb and his band decided to take a brake from practicing and he flopped down on the leather couch.
"I've heard from the higher ups that they will soon assign you to someone." The drummer, Oliver said, handing a can of beer to Caleb.
"Great."Caleb said sarcastically as he took the can, opening it and taking a big sip.
"Don't you want to be a guardian.? I mean it has been a few years since we graduated already." He crushed the empty can with his hand and threw it straight into the trash.
"I don't really care." He stood up and grabbed his leather jacket and headed toward the door.
"Hey where are you going?" Oliver asked.
"I'm out of cigarettes."

The closest store was a two blocks away, so he walked there with his hand in his pocket. His mind was on what Oliver had said. If they really wanted to assign him a human to guard why don't they do it. Even thought he liked his freedom, it bothered him a bit. He was so in thoughts that he almost passed the store. He walked in and the bell that was hanged by the door chimed. The girl by the counter turned toward him a blushed slightly. He smiled charmingly and walked to her.
"What can I help you with?" She asked, trying to act not affected by him. Well the word is TRIED. Woman would easily get attracted to him, after all he was a good looking guy, and an angel at that with a dash of a bad boy look.
"Yeah. A pack of cigarettes and your number." He smiled and she blushed a deeper shade of red. She took a pack from the shelf beside her.
"Is this one okay?" When he nodded she took a pen and wrote her number on a paper and handed him. He payed and with another dashing smile, walked out of the shop. Putting the paper with the girl's number in his pocket, he opened the pack and took one cigarette and lighted it. From the corner of his eye he saw a familiar figure so he turned. "Well, well well. Stella Angelo." He walked toward the other angel who was talking to a high school guy.

Stella Angelo

She was speaking to the high school student about how the guardian angel thing works and then she was interrupted by another angelic voice. She turned around and bright smile went across her face. It was Caleb. Her and Caleb went to the same academy, had many of the same classes, and graduated together. After wards they took two separate paths. She got a human to protect and he didn't. She has heard some rumors about him, but she was never one to believe in rumors. She always liked Caleb. They were pretty cool with each other, but has never been on her dating list. In conclusion, she friendzoned him throughout school. No boys, no problems is her motto. She met him halfway and hugged him whether it was wanted or not. "Hiya Caleb! And call me Stell. What's with the formal greeting?" She asked as she released him. She put her hands on her hip and waited for his response.

When Stella went straight for a hug, Caleb couldn't help but chuckle as he hugged her back. That was the good old Stella he remembered. It has been quite some time since he had seen her, and he would never admit it, but he had missed her quite a lot. "Hiya Caleb! And call me Stell. What's with the formal greeting?" She broke the hug and putting her hands on her waist waited for him to answer. "Well, you know me. I'm always polite with the ladies." He said slightly bowing like in some old western movies, "So have have you been doing?" He reached out and playfully ruffled her hair. "I never thought that I would see a day when you would actually go out with a high school kid." He said nodding toward him. Even thought he knew that wasn't true, he couldn't help but feel worried. After all Stella was his first love, though he never told her that. He didn't want to ruin what they have had, since he knew that she wouldn't date anyone. What if things have changed? What if that kid really was her boyfriend? Don't be stupid. You know Stella better than anyone else. She couldn't have changed that much, could she?

"I never thought that I would see a day when you would actually go out with a high school kid." Stella pushed his hand away from her head. He always did that to her and she giggled. “Caleb you know I am too good for humans.” She said jokingly. But she hasn’t dated anyone, or has even thought about dating someone, especially with someone younger than she is. That just sounds wrong. “And besides, he is younger than me and has to go back to class.” She said trying to sound slightly responsible even if she truly wasn’t all the responsible. “So what are you doing here? Have you been following me? OMG! You’re a stalker.” She exclaimed with a semi shocked look on her face.

"Caleb you know I am too good for humans." She said jokingly. But Caleb couldn't help but agree. She was too good even for the angel's. There didn't seem to be anybody who would be able to win her heart. He could never hope for her choosing him, but if she would ever choose somebody else, he hoped he would be too far away to see it. He was deep in his thoughts when he remembered that she had asked him a question. "You wish you had a stalker as handsome as me." He said, going through his hair with his hand. "I was actually just out to buy cigarettes." He put his hand into the back pockets of his jeans. "Are you busy now? We should go and grab a cup of coffee or something? After all we haven't saw each other in a while."

Stella rolled her eyes as Caleb became cocky. He told her the real reason why he was here and she pretended to gag. She hated cigarettes. Sight, smell, feel, even the look of them make her sick. She knew that he had picked up that habit a while ago, but she was never around him while he did that. Even though cigarettes don't kill angel, they are still icky. Her degrading thoughts on cigarettes were interrupted by Caleb. "Are you busy now? We should go and grab a cup of coffee or something? After all we haven't saw each other in a while. She thought for a moment and then shook her head. She did everything that she needed to do. She introduced herself to the human. She was actually going to go home. "Nope not busy and coffee sounds great. And of course you are paying." She said with a cheeky smile. She never paid for anything when she went out with people. She just had that thing about her. Maybe it has to with the fact that she is the Angel of redemption. Her presence just makes you want to do good things. Which comes in handy, especially for times like this. She linked arms with him and started the walk to the cafe. "So where did you go after graduation? You sort of disappeared."

She tied her hair in a high ponytail and grabbed her bag and keys and rushed out the door. Fifteen minutes later she arrived to the Golden Rose cafe. It was small cafe house with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The first time Ivy had been here it was the day she moved closer to the school. She felt lost and lonely at that time and finding this place was like she had found an oasis in the middle of the desert. The smell of vanilla and coffee made her feel more at ease, so she soon became a regular customer there. The owner, Matilda, would always come and sit with Ivy whenever she came in and they would talk about school, poetry and family. When she offered her a job in the cafe, Ivy was more than glad to accept it. It has been almost a year since she started working there and all the workers became more like her family.
"Sorry I'm late." Ivy told Matilda, who was behind the counter as she rushed to get her apron.
"You were just on time." the old woman smiled.
"Hey, Ivy. how was school?" Amanda the other waitress asked. She was a tall, short blonde haired woman, who was five years older than Ivy. She was a single mom, and when she needed to stay home with her two year old son, Ivy would take her shifts. Amanda was like an alder sister to Ivy, always there for her when she needed advice. "So, so." Ivy said. "I've got into detention."
"How come?"Amanda asked.
"It's a long story. And I need to serve the customers now. I'll tell you on our brake." She said as she went to take the order from the few girls that had just arrived.

"So where did you go after graduation? You sort of disappeared."Stella asked as they walked to the cafe.
"Well I was here and there." Caleb shrugged. "I had mostly traveled around, since I had nothing better to do. And as you know I had always dreamed about traveling the world." As the slowly approached the cafe, Caleb went and opened the door for Stella and escorted her to seat next to the window. He pulled out the chair for her then went to sit across her. "I have lived in New York for a couple of months, then I unexpectedly met Oliver there. You remember Oliver right? He used to be in our math class. Well he said he was forming a band and needed a singer, so I joined. We were actually just having a rehearsal a few blocks away." Caleb remembered that he said that he wouldn't take long, so he took out his phone to send them a message. "I forgot that to tell them that I won't be back." He smiled sheepishly at Stella.

Stella walked with him towards the cafe listening to him talk about what he did after graduation. Caleb would always talk about traveling and seeing the world while Stella was planning to get assigned right away. She liked the idea of watching humans. It was almost like a baby who needed protecting. They got to the cafe and Caleb was such a gentleman. He opened the door for her and pulled out her chair. She got comfortable in the seat and rested her arms on the table as he continued explaining his life after graduation. The mention of New York filled the air and her eyes sparkled. She had always wanted to play her music Carnegie Hall. Everyone said she was amazing at the harp, but she never thought it was possible for an angel to become a professional musician. Her dreamed died after graduation, but she continues to play the harp. Caleb talked about Oliver and his band. She didn't remember him ever singing, but he must be good. "I want to come to a rehearsal." She stated. Now she has to listen to him sing since he brought up him being a singer in band.

"I want to come to a rehearsal." Stella said just as the waitress came up to their table to take their orders. "Hello. My name is Becca and I'll be you waitress this evening." She said with a smile plastered on her face while she kept looking at Caleb. "Two coffees, please." Caleb said not even sparing a glance to the waitress that kept trying to flirt with him. "Your order will be right up." She said as she walked back to the kitchen.
"Then after we finish the coffee I'll gladly bring you with me. The guys will be happy to have an audience." Caleb said to smiling at Stella. The waitress came back with the order and put down the coffee in front of them, then walked away. Caleb was about to light a cigarette when he remembered that Stella wasn't very fond of them so he put it back into his pocket."So enough about me. Whit what have you been up to since the last time we met?"

"So enough about me. Whit what have you been up to since the last time we met?" Stella took a sip of her coffee and then placed it back on the table. "Nothing as cool as what you have been doing. Right after graduation I stared adapting to human culture and practically studying them before I got a human of my own." She said taking another sip of her coffee. She then took a second to think. "Well I have been playing my harp constantly. Learning new things and stuff like that." Stella felt that what she did didn't even compare to what Caleb has been doing. Traveling the world and being a band. She was stalking humans and playing the harp. She didn't want to bum her mood so she decided to perk up. She took another sip of coffee. " I also went shopping a lot. Needed to upgrade my look. Humans are so judgmental." She said looking dead at the waitress. She could tell the waitress didn't like her, but she didn't care.

((Sorry for being late. I didn't realize you posted.))

Caleb listened as Stella spoke about the how she spent her time after graduation, smiling and nodding while he sipped his coffee. He liked to listen to her speak. There was something in her voice that made him feel more at ease. Maybe it was her power that made him feel that way, well, he didn't care. It was easier to talk to her than other girls, who would usually try to get his attention in hope to win his heart. "I also went shopping a lot. Needed to upgrade my look. Humans are so judgmental." Caleb smirked. "More like they are jealous rather than judgmental, seeing how you could snatch the attention of the male population in the short minutes we arrived here." He said motioning to a few guys in the cafe, who were sneaking looks toward Stella. He gulped down the last few drops of his coffee and looked over at her. "So," he said crossing his arms over his chest with a cocky grin. "Ready to see a real Rock star in action? I bet the guys will be glad to have you watch the rehearsal. Maybe they won't mess up this time."

Stella finished her coffee and smiled at the compliment Caleb gave her. She was always told that she had amazing looks, but she never believe them. She would notice the guys staring, but she wouldn't acknowledge them. She gave a quick look around to catch guys looking at her. She looked back at Caleb. "But I don't date humans." She said playing with the empty coffee cup in front of her. Then he asked if she was ready to see a real rockstar ad she smiled eagerly. "Of course." She laughed at the joke about his fellow bandmates. "I am more of distraction than anything else, but I'm ready." She said standing up. She reached out her hand for Caleb so that they could go.
