The Story|

"We didn't choose to be this way."

The werewolf gene has been passed down from father to son for generations, but women have to go through The Phase to become a Lycan. An honor which is only given to a wolf's mate. This story is about a set of twins. Claudia and Klaus.

Like all the other children of their small town, they grew up perfectly normal. Going to school, two busy parents who were always gone away on business trips, and doing chores around the house. It wasn't until two weeks ago, in their senior year of high school, that things started to change. It was subtle at first. Klaus didn't pay much attention to the way his skin began to itch, or the strange midnight cravings he started to have. After all, he was a growing guy, right? So it's totally normal to crave raw hamburger at 2:00am.... right? Claudia was the first to really take notice of her twin's strange behavior. Concerned, she finally broke down and called her mother while she was out with their father for yet another business trip. Their trip wasn't due to be over until the end of the week, but they arrived home the next day. They sat their children down, and explained to them the history of their father's bloodline. Klaus could only gawk as his father laughed off the cravings and confessed to having been worried that the gene had not passed to Klaus. As it turns out, Klaus was just a 'late bloomer'.

"You're a werewolf, son. Just like me."

Werewolves. Claudia sat silently in the background as she soaked it all in. Her father, and her brother, through birth. Her mother, through what she explained to be called The Phase. A nasty process involving a full moon, a painful bite, and consuming human flesh. It wasn't long after finding out about Klaus' true race that a new guy moved into town. Klaus isn't sure that he can be trusted, and he sure doesn't like the way his sister looks at him but Klaus has his own problem. He has to figure out a way to tell his father that he won't be continuing the werewolf bloodline for their family, and find a way to ask the boy of his dreams to prom. Meanwhile, the new guy, Eden, struggles to find his place in the new small town he's found himself in. His family never stays in one place for more than a couple of years, but no one knows why.

The boy of Klaus' dreams has no idea that the same guy he's been crushing on likes him back. He also doesn't know, that his crush is a werewolf. In fact, he's more of the realistic type of person. He works after school, and when he's not working he's being tutored by Klaus. He'd never confess to it, but he's been purposefully failing English just to spend an hour or two alone with the most handsome guy in school. Now, he's struggling to pull his grades up so that he can graduate and find a way to confess his feelings to who he thinks is the straightest guy in their senior class.

"He was beautiful."
"She was enchanting."
"He was stunning."
"He was strong."

Things to Know|
Image

This role play has a set plot. I will be steering it the direction we're headed. I will put in key points with NPCs to guide the characters through the plot I have outlined for us. I will be PMing each character with their major plot points so that everyone has an idea as to where they are headed. When we start off, only Claudia and Klaus know about werewolves being in the town. The human is completely oblivious to all supernatural activity. He's just trying to graduate high school. I will be updating the intro page, so be on the lookout for that :3 (I'll say something in the OOC when I do change it ^^)

WOLVES

1. Can shift on will. Their werewolf form is that of a slightly larger than normal wolf.

2. A bite/scratch will not turn you unless it’s a full moon and you consume human flesh/blood during the moon phase.

3. Wolves are not immortal, so a gunshot/stab wound or any other normal form of attack can kill them, but they do have longer lives than humans.

4. The silver thing is just a myth.

VAMPIRES

1. Can go in the sun if they are pure blooded, or wearing something spelled by a witch to ward off their daylight curse. If a vampire is caught in the sun without a spelled item the vampire will begin to burn.

2. A werewolf bite is lethal.

3. Can retract fangs.

4. Can hold/wear/look at crosses, holy water, all the rest of that gibberish.

5. The are immortal beings, with self healing properties. If they are bitten to be changed, they are frozen in time physically at whatever age they were changed at. If they were born a vampire, pure blooded, they age normally unless spelled by a witch to stop their aging (very, very common. The spell only works on the supernatural; not humans.)

6. All vampires are faster, stronger, and smarter (generally due to being alive longer) than humans. They are faster than werewolves, but werewolves are stronger.

The Rules|
Image

1. The only character you control is your own.

2. This is always said last, so… Let me say it second? HAVE FUN!

3. Please follow the standard rules of RP; no killing anyone without their permission (and mine), don’t constantly post and leave people out…. The standard ^^

4. Please be as realistic as possible.

5. What I or my Co-Gm says goes, but we would love your opinion!

6. All posts will be in third person. <3

7. Please do not join if you do not plan on being dedicated and committed. My Co-GM and I are on literally every day. I'm not expecting you to be, but it would be nice. If you're going to be gone, a simple PM for a heads up will be greatly appreciated.

8. Any disappearances for more than a week with no warning will be removed from the rp and the spot opened up.

9. I will not be reserving positions. I will allow people to compete for the slot(s) that are open, but the secret word is "Veins".

10. We are looking for someone who will be active, so again, please, if you do not plan to commit; don't apply.

11. Adult content can be implied, yet not detailed. RPG rule. Fade to black or time skips will suffice. (You don't have to go home, but you can't stay here! ;3)

12. REAL human pictures/FC for character sheets ONLY.

Lastly, and not so much a rule but more so a... 'so you know'... I know we have a limited number of slots, so if you are super interested in the rp, PM me and if any spots come open after the role play has started I will PM you to invite you to join. <3

It wasn't always this way... or maybe it was. I always knew there was a reason he always loved Klaus more. Gotta say, I never figured that the reason would be this bizarre. Then again, I mean.. What else should I have expected after I found Klaus digging into raw hamburger meat? I guess I always knew we were different. My family, I mean. We were too much like those families you see in old t.v. shows. You know, the ones with the Martha Stuart type mom and then go-getter father. Yeah, I guess you could say we had it all. Maybe that's why things ended up this way. Anyway, I'm getting way ahead of myself here. Let's start at the beginning. It was an average day. Like every other day, really. Klaus and I had just got out of school, and were in the kitchen cooking up some hot coco...

"I hope it never stops," she said as she slid onto the bar stool beside the island in the kitchen. "Honestly, if it just snowed like this until we couldn't even get out of the front door, I'd be happy." Claudia grinned over at her twin as she took a generous swig from her mug. Warmth flooded her mouth, and sent a desirable shiver down her spine. Delighted, she peeked into the mug, admiring the tiny marshmellows that floated around inside. "Klaus! I'm home!" The sound of the front door closing and her father's heavy footsteps caused Claudia's stomach to turn over. Within moments both of her parents were standing in the kitchen, sighing happily. "It's a blizzard out there." Her mother's voice was much warmer than her fathers. "Living room. Now," ordered their father. Claudia glanced to her mother wearily, wondering what she could possibly be in trouble for this time. After all, they had only just gotten home! How could she have possibly managed to piss him off this time? "Both of you," he added. Claudia glanced over at her twin and shrugged, sliding off of the bar stool and taking her coco with her.

"You're a werewolf, son. Just like me."

I was shocked at first. I mean, who would believe something so ridiculous? I mean, sure I had fantasized about magical creatures. Who hasn't read Twilight and wished that they had two sexy mystical guys fawning all over them? But honestly? When you realize that shit is real... it's not so romantic. What's worse, is when you realize that you're not even special. You're not Harry Potter. You're his fat cousin, Dudley. A hundred and ten percent, Grade A, Human. After I got over the initial shock, I was pissed. I mean, what to the literal fuck? So, Klaus gets to be a werewolf because he's a guy and apparently the gene only goes to males... but then mom's a werewolf because dad turned her, but he can't turn me because wolves only change their mates. What? Seriously, as if the world weren't terrible enough with SATs and Calculus. I decided then that I hated my father. I hated him for favoring Klaus. For making mom a werewolf. For not passing the gene to me. For everything. After that, I just sort of lost it I guess...

I didn't come out of my room for three days. I was completely content to just lay on the floor and die. I kept my eyes closed, hoping that maybe if I just laid there long enough, my body would take a hint and just melt into the floor. That didn't happen though, cause life's a bitch like that. No, I was forced to go back to school. Another form of mundane torture. Klaus started getting stronger. Faster. Me? I broke out in acne for a week. Things couldn't have possibly gotten any worse... and then he moved to town.

Date: February 3rd.
Time: 4:23 PM.
Weather: 28 degrees Fahrenheit (Roughly -2 degrees Celsius). Snowing.

How long she had been standing there was lost to her. Her arms were going numb. Her outfit was starting to get damp from the snow, but she couldn't move. Klaus and Jesse were walking up the driveway to the house, for another study session no doubt, but the guy they had with them... She had never seen him before, and she had no idea who he was... but she wanted to find out. "Hey, stranger," she said warmly, mostly to Klaus but to Jesse too, "who's the new guy?" Direct and to the point; typical Claudia. "Starting a tutoring school, Klaus?" A grin tugged her lips upward, unable to mask her playful nature when it came to her twin. They had always been close, and even though she resented the fact that he was a werewolf and she was human, she still loved him. She could never blame Klaus for what their father did to him, because it wasn't Klaus' fault.

She watched him walking towards her, her raccoon eyes drifting over him, watching his gait. He was starting to thicken up. Effortless muscles were beginning to grow on him. The familiar pang of jealousy dropped into the pit of her stomach, causing her to look away from him and to the males flanking his side. Their parents were gone again, out running with the pack. Funny how those used to be business trips... That meant that they would have the house to themselves, at least until ten that night when all of her friends would arrive for the parents-are-gone-house-party she had planned. What better way to celebrate the start of Klaus' Phase than to get completely, humanly, wasted.

Well, let me start off by saying that I despise this town. Its people are nosy, its sights are mundane, and there is nothing remotely interesting about it whatsoever, so excuse me if I'm not in the brightest of moods when I tell you my side of this tragic tale. When my father told me that he was moving us here, I could have shot myself in the skull, yet here I am, still living and breathing, though I'm pretty sure that death would be much more entertaining. I truly believed that I'd be stuck wandering this god forsaken place with just my memories of home to keep me sane, but it wasn't until I met her that my life made a drastic turn...whether it was for the best or the worst, I still haven't decided. Let's rewind a bit to the moment I stepped into our new house...

His lips were pulled into a taunt line as he glanced at the bland white room before him. To say that Eden was not pleased was a understatement. For years, he has been dragged from house to house, city to city, country to country, and now he has been thrown into the land of the useless.

"Can you at least pretend to like the house, Eddie?" His mother's sing-song voice chimed from behind him. He turned around, giving the woman a look of undying disdain. She shook her head, clearly giving up on trying to console him. "Well, don't let your father see you sulking, you know how he dislikes when you pout."

"He also dislikes small towns, so why are we even here? We were happy in Texas." His mother sighed, her pink lips forming a tiny frown as she regarded her son with faint irritation. "He has business here. Since his promotion, he's been forced to deal with various...conflicts between...well you know." Eden knew all too well what she meant, and he decided it was best not to pry. However, a tinge of frustration towards his father's superiors festered within his very being. Didn't they understand that constantly being the new kid was utter hell?

So my first day wasn't the pinnacle of my existence, and granted I was a complete asshole about it all, but cut me some slack. I have not been a part of a community for more than a year, I've never made any friends, and I'm socially awkward, so you can't expect me to be happy with the situation. Well, let me continue; later on that week I found myself in the company of a guy named Klaus. I was lost and he offered to help me, simple as that. We weren't friends, and I didn't know if I even liked him, but he offered his help so I took it. He introduced me to his student, Jesse; decent guy, I guess, but I didn't really say much to him. I don't usually talk. So, that's how I found myself there at his house, and that is how I met her.

Eden's eyes were downcast as he trailed behind both Jesse and Klaus. His hands were stuffed into the pockets of his jacket as the flakes of snow clung to his blond locks and eyelashes. The only good thing about this town was the snow; it reminded him of his homeland, Russia. He was too busy remembering home that he didn't notice the petite blonde girl standing in the snow. His eyes connected with hers for a split second. Now, some would say that when you finally meet your soul mate you feel a spark, a flash of something, but Eden felt absolutely nothing. All he saw was just another blonde, freezing her ass off. He had no idea that one day, he'd be risking his life for her.

I think perhaps I always knew that something was different. There was always a feeling within me that thought, well hey... this is new. Alas it was a feeling I ignored. I had thought it to be a part of this whole love thing, something that made my stomach jump and curl, it made my skin tingle and my breath come out in quick pants. How wrong I was. This wasn't anything to do with love, this wasn't anything to do with how I felt. Anyways I'm getting ahead of myself. I've always lived here. Things don't change when it comes to me, everything is regulated and boring. I sleep, got to school, do homework and sleep again. I was still on that schedule that one day we all met up at Klaus's house... I look back on it now and think it quite funny that I had been so calm and so unaware of what was to change.

Jesse had met with Klaus and Eden in the front of the school yard, his backpack filled with homework and yet another test that had a large red D stamped over the top. He remembered the look of disappointment his teacher had given him, and though he knew he should be sorry for it, he felt a small flutter in the pit of his stomach. This would be another excuse to spend a bit more time with Klaus.

Jesse wasn't sure how he felt about his friend, he knew that every time Klaus entered a room, Jesse would put his undivided attention on him. There was something about him that made it so he couldn't look away. Something about him... He contemplated it for a moment but his thoughts were taken away from him when Eden and Klaus arrived.

They made the trek to Klaus's house, talking about teachers and classes as well as the latest parties. In all honestly Jesse was looking forward to the party that Claudia was throwing. Maybe a few drinks would let him calm down a bit.

They trudged through the snow down the driveway and saw Claudia, she said a hello, mostly to Klaus but he assumed that he could say a greeting as well. "hullo." He said a bit dully. He brushed away a snowflake that had fallen on his nose and sniffed a little.

Klaus never would really be able to wrap his mind around the fact that his sister wanted to be a werewolf. He knew that his could be reckless, she liked to party a lot after all, but this seemed irrational to him. Being a werewolf could be fun, sure. Over the past few weeks he had probably gained ten pounds in muscles alone. But at the same time it was disgusting, he was craving disgusting things- like the raw meat in the fridge right now. Just the thought of it made a bounce in his step, which he was trying very hard to get rid of as they came up the driveway. On the way home had been worse, it seemed as if he was always going too fast or too slow, and every slight turn they had to make he ended up jerking the wheel and making everyone move. His hands had been shaking so bad, he almost stopped and made someone else drive. That was another thing he had noticed, he couldn't stop the shaking. It would come and go, but as the full moon approached it was getting worse. As was the crazy cravings and strange urge to take off every time he saw the woods behind his house.

Though perhaps I had always felt like this. Maybe this wasn't as new as I thought. I always liked my food undercooked, the craving had just gotten stronger- to the point where I could take the steak out of a fridge and eat it half frozen. And I'd always been a little shaky, but they blamed it on my ADHD. Now it was almost constantly though, I couldn't stop myself from doing it. No matter how I distracted myself. When I was little, they could hardly ever get me to come out of the woods... I'd loved being in there, loved those summer nights I was allowed to sleep out in the tree house...

While he knew his sister liked to party, he wasn't all too excited about tonight. Of course, now that he was popular now, he sort of had to come out of his room and say hi to a few people. Oh well, he could deal with it if he had too. No big deal, it wasn't like he couldn't spend the rest of the night hiding in his room. Too bad he couldn't get drunk anymore, he could barely get a buzz, the werewolf in him just ate it up.

He got out of the car a few moments later, making his way towards the group at the top of the driveway quickly. Even when he reached them, he didn't stop moving, always shifting back and forth from foot to foot. It was habit, something that most just played off as him being overly optimistic all the time and unable to contain it. "Hey sis! Look what I found," without permission, he slung his arm around Eden, white teeth shining as he grinned. Isn't he cute? Claudia was the only one who knew about his sexuality, as of then. "His name is Eden; Eden, this is my sister Claudia."

Okay, a few notes for those that don't know me. One, I'm basically a mute, so good luck holding a conversation because you're better off talking to roadkill than me. Two, I don't like meeting new people. That's basically self explanatory. Three, I'm a strong believer in personal space. I think it's safe to assume how comfortable I was in this situation...I'll give you a hint: I wasn't happily doing the twist, that's for sure.

Eden instantly froze, and it wasn't because of the temperature. It was mainly due to the knowledge that more people would soon be joining the little group. He frowned a bit, moving his frosty orbs to the white sheet of snow. He would turn on his heels and walk home, but being new to the town, he wasn't familiar with the roads. Klaus was his only hope, and judging by how jumpy the guy was he doubted that he'd want to take the journey back to his place. So, Eden concluded that he was stuck there. He sighed as the warmth of Klaus's arm touched the back of his neck. Eden looked up, shifting his icy gaze to the athlete with a look of discomfort on his face. He hated social gatherings, and now he had to deal with the lack of personal space. What joy! Reluctantly, Eden raised his gaze to Claudia; his face betraying nothing, but dull disinterest. He said nothing, and simply nodded his head towards her in acknowledgement.

Looking back on it, I should have at least said hi.

Claudia glanced from her twin, to Jesse, and the new guy- no, Eden. Instead of a friendly wave or smile that his jock-like face prepared her for, she received a cold nod. As if the weather were radiating from him, the male just stared in boredom at her, completely unamused. Well.. fuck you too then, she thought to herself. Not allowing her smile to fade, she turned back to Jesse who was rubbing his nose. "Well, let's go inside. No point in freezing to death." Leading the way, she walked into their house. As she went through the door she made her way to the living room, having left the fire going when she decided to go clear her head with the snow. The boys would no doubt take over the bar for studying, so she didn't bother taking a seat over there. Instead, she retrieved her abandoned book and flopped onto the couch. Her shoes left wet prints across the polished hardwood, but instead of worrying about it, she decided to just leave it. After all, in about five hours the house would be flooded with people anyway.

There's just something about trying to read on a comfy couch with a warm fire around. It's impossible not to fall asleep! Believe me, I really tried. But it just seemed like the harder I tried to focus on the book, the more tired I got. I remember hearing the guys talking about something completely off topic. It was no wonder Jesse was failing his classes, even with Klaus tutoring him. I never understood why Klaus didn't just... you know, grow a pair and ask the guy out. Not like they weren't adorable together. I guess Klaus was just afraid of what Jesse might say... or worse, what father would say when he found out. If only he knew how it would all end, back then... I bet he would have told him everything.

Time: 10:34 PM

How long she had been sleeping, she didn't know, but she was woken up by the blaring sound of a car horn and the repetitive pulse of the doorbell being abused. The sudden shock of her system coming back online was enough to fault her off the couch and into the floor. Luckily, she missed the coffee table by an inch or two. Groaning, she pulled herself off the floor, and tried to figure out what on Earth could possess anyone to be making such awful noise. She staggered to the front door and slung it open, her groggy state of mind not comprehending anything as a large group of people yelped in joy at the sight of her and pushed past her carrying kegs. What the-- THE PARTY! Oh, right!

Image

Her mood was instantly lifted, and by 10:45 the surround sound system was blaring Icona Pop - I Love It. The room swirled around her as her body dipped and swayed to the music, a guy in one hand, a red cup of vodka in the other. Her long platinum hair whipped to and fro in and out of her view as her neck snapped to the bass. All feeling had melted away, numbed by the alcohol in her system and drowned out by the lyrics of the throbbing song."I. Don't. Care! I. Love. it! I. Love. It!" she sang, her words only slightly slurred as she ground her hips into the male in front of her. She had no idea who he was. They had turned the lights off and turned a strobe light on, making it nearly impossible to tell what was going on. Next thing she knew, she could taste the sour bitterness of beer on her tongue as the male's thick lips crushed in against her own.

Disgusted, she reared back and punched him in the face, sending him stumbling backwards, having been caught off guard. Blood dribbled from his nose. "You bitch," he growled, looking as if her might punch her back. "Get the FUCK out of my house!" she snapped back, completely serious one moment, and then giggling the next. The guy, Aaron, looked extremely pissed off, and stormed out of the room, bumping into Klaus on his way out. "You're sister's a fucking lunatic," Aaron growled, holding his broken nose in one hand and pushing his way through the crowd to the door with the other.

For some reason, she couldn't stop laughing, and downed the rest of the alcohol in her cup. Her eyes searched around the room for her brother, but she couldn't find him in the tangled mess of people. Somewhere in her deranged state of mind, she thought that he was in the bathroom upstairs, and so she slowly stumbled her way through the crowd. When she reached the bathroom, she threw the door open, finding no one inside, but seeing the curtain to the bathtub pulled. "Here, Klausy, Klausy, Klausy... come out and play brother," she called, her voice deep and slow, sounding more like a predator than a loving sister. "Found you," she chirped, throwing the curtain open, only to reveal an empty tub.

A confused expression brushed over her face, but only for a moment. It was quickly replaced by a giggle fit, which ended with her suddenly collapsing to the floor. She lay on the bathroom floor, looking up as the room began to twist and distort itself around her. She stared off quietly, feeling the thump of the bass rattle the hard wood of the second floor. A figure appeared in the doorway, and she smiled lazily up at it. "There you are," she sighed, "you naughty boy. I was looking everywhere for you..." Her voice trailed off as the dark figure moved closer to her.

Klaus had followed his sister up to the house where he, being the gentleman he often could be, held the door for the other two boys before going inside himself. It was awfully strange of him, but everyone in school probably knew that he didn't exactly act normal. He was still popular though, so that had to mean something. Perhaps they were just interested in his looks, or the fact that he could be captain of a sport. Thinking about it just made his head hurt- no one could ever just make sense anymore. Especially girls, if he hadn't had seventeen years of his sister to deal with, everyone of them in school would probably hate him now. Maybe that was why he preferred men, because they weren't so complicated. At least not to him, he was one of them!

After he got each of the others a drink, they settled down on the bar to study. Jesse had apparently gotten another D, which made him both sorry and a tad bit excited. As long as Jesse kept getting grades like these, Klaus would never have a reason to stop tutoring him. At the same time though, he knew that the other boy should have been improving by now. Just because he wanted to spend time with Jesse, it didn't mean he would botch up his own teaching. And it made him feel bad to think, just think! that perhaps Jesse was failing for the same reason Klaus had offered to tutor him- perhaps he just wanted to spend time with him.

Six hours and four beers later, Klaus found himself stumbling over towards Jesse and latching onto the boys arm. "Come dance, Jesse." It seemed that even he could get somewhat drunk, because he was beginning to feel that buzz that usually came side by side with a terrible hangover the next day. Even his words were a bit slurred, or at least Jesse's name had been. The only excuse he could think of was to blame the other boy- it wasn't his fault that he had all those stupid s's in there!

That night, I was hardly drunk at all. But I thought that maybe if I acted at least a little bit drunk, I could use it as an excuse to dance with Jesse. If he freaked out, I could blame it on the fact that I was drunk... And then run up to my room and cry for the rest of the night. It wasn't the best plan, considering it was made up while I was actually a bit drunk. But at the time it had made perfect sense, and I sort of just figured, why not just roll with it? Definitely not my best idea, and I probably should have just gone back upstairs.

He didn't even wait for a proper answer, just sort of started trying to tug Jesse along with him and towards the middle of the living room, where everyone seemed to be dancing. A few moments ago he began having that craving again, the desire to go and steal the meat from the kitchen. And it was actually beginning to seem like a good idea, which was a very bad thing. Buzzed Klaus was not someone you wanted to leave without supervision, he'd probably end up wanting to swim and jump off a bridge instead. To try and distract himself, he was just keeping his focus on Jesse.

Eden found himself with a bottle of beer in his hand and a girl leaning on his shoulder. He was trapped in a state between lucidity and intoxication. The strobe lighting made his eyes hurt and the various sweaty figures grinding on him made him completely uncomfortable. Taking a hardy swig of his drink, Eden pushed the drunken girl off of his shoulder with his blond brows furrowed in disgust. He never understood why teenager felt the need to get plastered beyond belief. He was satisfied with the slight buzz and nothing more.

The throng of gyrating forms were surrounding him, and making him feel a bit claustrophobic, so he deemed it fit to find a place to take a breather.

I guess this is the part where I tell you about how out of place I felt, and trust me, I was, but I want to explain something else. With my fleeting lucidity, I was still able to gather enough information to make an accurate drug induced conclusion: teenagers are fucking stupid. You were thinking it, I simply stated it.

The booming of the music faded as Eden pushed past the plethora of people. His brow was slick with sweat and his bottle was half way empty as he trekked through the hallway, where many teens saw it necessary to make out and practically screw each other. Rolling his eyes at the cliche of it all, Eden stumbled into the bathroom. He didn't need to go, he just wanted a little peace and quiet, a chance to gather his bearings and attempt to sober up a bit. He opened the door, not taking the time to examine the room first before immediately closing it behind him. Turn around, Eden was a taken aback when he spotted Claudia sprawled out on the floor. His brows knitted as he silently regarded her with a blank stare.

She was beautiful even then, though at the time I pegged her as just another idiotic teenager, wasting her life on booze.

Eden shook his head, ready to leave the bathroom and find a new place to dwell, but something pulled him back. To this day, he doesn't know what it was, or what possessed him to do what he did next, but it was the catalyst. Her slurred words were lost on him, but he did the usual. He spoke. "Hi?" he said dully.

Jesse had to admit he was a little buzzed, he was still fine and his actions were in control but he'd had a little bit to drink. Tequila was his choice drink and though he knew the silly saying 'tequila is what makes the pants come off' he liked the smooth taste and the burn of his down his chest. The music changed to a song whose made made the whole house rattle. Somewhere behind him he heard the sound of breaking glass, he would have turned his head to see what had happened but all of a sudden Klaus was in front of him. Clearly he was a lot more drunk than he was and that made Jesse gulp a little.
Image
Klause slurred his name and asked him to dance, Jesse's eyes widened in surprise and he caught the drink that slipped out of his fingers. Tequila spilt over the rim onto his shoes and a bit of Klaus's pants but he didn't care.
"D...Dance?"

to say the least I was surprised. We had spent the whole afternoon together and I remembered wonder then if Klaus knew... if he had figured it out. I was terrified that when he woke up sober and with a mighty headache he would remember dancing with me and feel disgusted. I knew that people did stupid things when they were drunk having done quite a few things like that myself. I didn't want him to have the regret and hate me but there was no way I could say no to him.

Klaus tugged on Jesse's arm and Jesse let the small smile he wanted to show appear on his face. Here he was, Drunk with Klaus and now they were on the dance floor. They danced for half a song, Jesse kept his distance, hoping and praying that Klaus would be alright with this in the morning. Just then someone bumped into him and sent him into Klaus, their noses touched and Jesse felt his heart skip a beat. His eyes locked onto the man that haunted his dreams and he thought of pressing a soft kiss to those lips of his.

Hating himself for the thought Jesse stumbled away from him and looked at the ground " I'm sorry..." he mumbled and he brushed his sleeve over his mouth as if to erase the memory, he was blushing a little but refused to let the incident stop the moment and as the song changed he stepped back towards his friend and leaned over to shout into his ear over the song, "Can I get you something to drink?" He smiled at him happy that they were spending time like this.

Really, if his sister had actually taken the time to think her plan through, she probably wouldn't have scheduled the party for the night. Recently our parents had been coming back earlier, sometimes even just a day after they left. I wasn't quite sure why though, perhaps they were testing us, or perhaps they just weren't as busy with the pack. It didn't matter what the case was, it just mattered that their trips weren't taking as long as they usually did. Though maybe my sister just didn't But we aren't quite there yet, Mr. Everhart hadn't returned home just yet.

Only a few moments ago, someone had bumped into Jesse and sent him into Klaus. His first response was to pull back, not from disgust or anything, just from the initial shock since he really hadn't been expected anything like that to happen. This was perhaps the closest he had ever been to Jesse, but he definitely did not mind it. Even though his friend stumbled back away from him, mumbling his apologizes and wiping his lips as if even being close to Klaus could give him something. Was that even possible? He was fairly sure that werewolf wasn't contagious, or else his sister would have probably made him carry her all around in the hopes that she would catch it. But it wasn't like Jesse even knew about that, only his family knew. And perhaps the pack, he wasn't quite sure. Actually, he wasn't even sure if they really had a pack...

When Jesse stepped back closer he allowed the smile to find it's way back onto his face, glad that the recent events hadn't caused his friend to run away. "I think I have a better idea..." he said slowly, his words no longer slurred. It seemed the earlier buzz had worn off and it was just him now, just Klaus. No alcohol screwing up his brain, no regrets the next day. Without even thinking, he took Jesse's hand in his and gestured towards the stairs, slowly inching towards them while also making sure that Jesse was following.

Maybe I should have let Jesse get a drink that night. Maybe I should have gotten myself a drink, let that buzz roll over me again. But I didn't want Jesse to regret anything, I didn't want to regret anything. I just wanted to be me, wanted to be the best Klaus that I could be for Jesse. We had been friends for so long, or at least I'd been tutoring him for quite some time, and I didn't want to mess that up. Though I suppose it was just hard to stop, after I'd already gotten him to dance with me. My plan was just to lead him up to my room...

Jesse leaned in close as Klaus spoke, telling him of a better idea. He sounded more clear than before and Jesse figured that it was the end of their dancing, Klaus had come to his senses. He felt a little disappointed but he knew it was a moment he would treasure. There were precious few moments with Klaus like this, at the time he had felt like it was ok to be the way he was. Now that it was gone he forced himself to keep the smile on his face, it was a real smile again when Klaus grabbed his hand. It was insictive but his own fingers closed over his friends.
"Alright." He said trusting his friend. They pushed through the crowd towards the stairs. He wondered where they were going and supposed that maybe they would go outside for a bit of fresh air, something to clear their heads and let their brains empty of all the pounding music. Klaus looked behind him to see if he was still there and Jesse found the action endearing.

The following events were the start of a change. I was never one for changes, I was content to have my life the way it was. I had accepted that. I would stay here in this miserable town, I would die alone and I would have a terrible job. It was just reality. But then there was Klaus, who somehow managed to bring color to this monotone world of mine. Even with his hand in mine I could feel that things were better. If only I had remembered that.

They reached the stairs and trudged up them towards the rooms, intrigued Jesse spoke up "What are we going to do up here? Need to get away from it for a bit?" He gestured to the mass of people downstairs jumping up and down and shouting.

If you didn't count family kisses and accidental ones that Klaus would regret for the rest of his life, then Klaus had technically never kissed anyone before. Which would explain why he was so nervous, leading Jesse up towards his room and away from the party. That was another thing he added to his worries, Jesse was another guy- and Klaus wasn't sure if he felt the same way about him that he did. Though he supposed that if his friend had wanted to, he could have pulled away by now. He wouldn't have tried to stop him, that would just make everything worse. On their way upstairs, Klaus kept a tight hold on the other boys hand. Not enough to make him uncomfortable or even hurt him, he just didn't want him to get nervous and try to shy away. All he had to do was tell Klaus to stop and he would, he would bring him back downstairs and get drinks for the two of them and they could just hang out like they usually did. But all he saw was Jesse smiling, all he heard was his friends question... Which he didn't answer simply because he wasn't quite sure how to tell him that he planned on possibly sexually harassing his lips.

As soon as we reached my room, I dragged Jesse inside and shut the door behind us. There was little pause between what happened next. Pressing him up against the door hadn't been hard, but then again, I hadn't really been paying attention as to if he was trying to struggle to get me off of him. Maybe I had been too rough, I should have paid more attention. All I remember was fumbling to find his lips, the idiot in me had ended up kissing his jaw first. Once I finally got his lips though, I didn't want to pull away. I remember it vividly. It was messy, it had been my first kiss after all, but sweet. Or it was for me. My lips moved from his to his neck quickly, and then they trailed lower...

"Oh, fuck!" Did he really just bite Jesse? It was crazy, that was... Why would he do that? Sure enough, there was a small red mark starting to form. Immediately he stepped away, putting both hands over his mouth like he didn't believe it. "Jesse," he choked out, reaching gently for the other boy. He didn't want him to run away, didn't want him to leave now. But he had just bitten him! Though it wasn't like he meant to, he just got the urge and... And he had to. Before he could have even stopped himself, it just happened. "I'm so sorry, please don't leave."

Claudia looked up as a the figure closed the door. Playfully she rolled over, pushing her hair out of her face as she grinned up at the dark angel of a figure before her. "Youuu.... aren't Klaus. Who are you?" Her smiled never faded as she thrashed around on the floor, trying to find her baring. When she did, she managed to claw her way up onto the toilet, and then used the sink to pull herself up into a swaying stand. "I don't want your cookies. Her words slurred around in her mouth, just as the room did in her vision. Stumbling forward, she found the doorknob and threw the bathroom door open, causing a crashing sound. She jumped at the sudden thud, and then giggled, grabbing the stranger's hand. "C'mon, you we're going to find Klaus."

So, needless to say it wasn't one of my shining moments. Maybe, if I had stopped at just four shots, I could have at least realized who I was dragging through my house. Maybe then I could have prepared myself, or him for that matter.

Claudia stumbled through the hall, attempting to pull Eden behind her as she bumped from wall to wall like a sloppy bowling ball thrown by a toddler. When she found his room, she threw the door open just in time to see his mouth coming up from Jesse's shoulder, with some strange red liquid dribbling from his chin. "...Don't leave," Klaus was saying. She took a moment to look around the scene in front of her, her intoxicated brain swirling with ideas and possibilities. A part of her was proud that he had finally gotten the balls to make a move. "Kinky," she giggled, leaning against the doorway as she observed Jesse, "I'm going to lay down. Good night." With that, she turned around and started the trek to her own room, letting go and forgetting about Eden. She didn't make it but so far before the world blacked out around her, and suddenly she was sliding down the hallway wall.

At the time, the floor was so comfortable, I just didn't want to get up. I didn't care that I could hear panic in the background, or that I was laying sprawled out in my hallway. Honestly, I just wanted to lay there. Again, I thought that maybe I could just melt into the floor... become a part of the furniture.... like a bear or oriental rug. Again, it didn't happen. Looking back on it, it's a wonder he stayed around. I mean, I was a true display of what a hot mess is. I guess he managed to see through that somehow, or maybe he has some sick fetish for lost causes. Either way, be some miracle, something managed to catch his attention and he stayed.

Eden's bright eyes were set solely on the drunk blonde before him. He was instantly regretting not leaving the bathroom because he had to witness her make an utter fool of herself. Oh the joys of alcohol, he thought bitterly as he felt her cold hand touch his even colder one. Before he knew it, he was being pulled through the various hallways. He could have easily yanked his hand out of her grip and walked away, but he felt a tinge of something within him that forced him to make sure she was okay.

I'm a lot of things: rude, blunt, even a bit sadistic, but I'm not heartless. She was so wasted that I felt a bit obligated to make sure she didn't try to jump out of the window or something. That was my good deed for the week. It wasn't until she opened that damn door that I wanted to push her out of a window instead.

He smelled it before he saw it and his mouth instantly grew dry. The crimson dripping from Klaus's lips hypnotized Eden, and his teeth began to ache in his gums. He held his breath, trying to refrain from screaming out in pain as his throat clawed at his Adam's apple. He was in pure agony. His bright orbs darkened to a daring navy blue and his pupils turned to slits as his canines enlarged slowly and poked his bottom lip.

I could honestly say that at that moment, I hated her. I should have walked away when I had the chance. I should have told her to fuck off and leave me alone, but I didn't and there I was; about to attack her brother's boy toy. Looking back on it, I guess I should have figured out what he was right then and there, but I was too busy fight off my own beast.

Eden closed his eyes, attempting to hide the beast within him. "I..." he risked inhaling the intoxicating aroma, instantly growing rigid. "I have to go." He couldn't get out of there fast enough. He pushed pass Claudia as she slumped against the wall, mentally cursing her and killing her repeatedly in his head. He pushed through the crowd of bodies until he was finally able to reach the door. A blast of frosty winter air cupped his chiseled cheeks and he inhaled heavily. His mind slowly processed that he was no longer around the blood and there was no need to attack. He sighed, sitting on the porch and fiddled with his thumbs. He would have walked home, but again he was unsure which way that was. "Dammit," he muttered. "That bastard is my ride home."

Jesse smiled at his friend and he let himself be dragged into the room, he took a moment to look around the room. It was a regular boys room but he liked it all the same. His next thought was why Klaus was pushing him against the door. He was confused and looked at Klaus "What-" He was cut off when he felt the smooth press of lips against his jaw, Jesse froze stock still against the door.

[i]He was kissing me... He had missed at first but after a moment he found my lips. It wasn't my first kiss, but I'd had very few before that. Once I got over the initial shock of it I let a hand lift to rest tentatively against his elbow. He broke the kiss and my breath came out in a soft pant. His lips trailed over my neck and then suddenly there was pain. I remember thinking that kissing was supposed to be nice and not painful. [i]

Klaus backed away from Jesse and before his hands clapped over his mouth he saw a faint bit of blood and Jesse's hand slapped to his neck where there was the mark. It was tender and pained him he pushed himself away from Klaus angry that this had happened. This was supposed to be nice and romantic, biting just wasn't his thing. [color=SlateBlue]" What the hell?" He looked at his hand and saw a few spots of blood. Klaus asked him not to leave but Jesse didn't know what to do. Just then Claudia opened the door and she saw the two of them and the bit of blood. "kinky" She giggled and left saying she needed to lay down.

[color=SlateBlue]"I... I need to go...."[color] He turned away from the group and pushed past the door and left without another look at Klaus. He needed time to his thoughts and he pushed his way past the party goers and went to the kitchen and he found himself a beer and opened it. Then he headed towards the door, he wasn't looking where he was going and when he opened the door he walked straight into a wall of muscle. He stumbled back and fell on his bottom, the beer spilling all over him. He was in the middle of swearing when he saw who it was. Mr.Everhart had come home early it seemed and he didn't look all too pleased about it.

Mr. Everhart glared down at the teenager in front of him. After shutting off the music, the rest of the group had cleared out, but there were a few stragglers. The boy in front of him was Jesse, the stupid boy his son was desperately trying to teach. A lost cause, in his own opinion, and on an unrelated note; he reeked of faggot. "I'm sure your parents are expecting you home, Jesse," the man's dark voice rumbled. His tone was even, but threatening, daring Jesse to say otherwise. In truth, Mr. Everhart could care less if the boy had to walk himself home or not. Mr. Everhart turned sideways to let the male pass, and made his way up the stairs of his home. His son met him on the stairs. Rage flicked on in the elder man's eyes as he growled, "Your room. Now." The twin's mother stood at the bottom of the stairs, looking up with a worried and sad expression.

Mr. Everhart continued up the stairs, prowling as if looking for something or someone to kill. He found his target in the form of his seventeen year old daughter, laying sprawled and drunken in his floor. His jaw tightened as he grabbed her by her hair, jerking her roughly to her feet. Claudia let out a surprised yelp as she was grabbed that quickly settled into a rattled giggle. "You think it's funny? You think it's funny to disgrace your family? You're a fucking drunken whore! I wish you had never been born! Look at yourself! You look like a hooker! Look at me when I'm talking to you, bitch!"

Daddy and I have always had an interesting relationship. Mom says he loves me. I believe her. I know he loves having a punching bag for his anger, a place to pin his disappointment and rage. Better me than Klaus, who has to carry on the bloodline, right? Anyway, don't feel too bad for me. This is just how it's always been, and to understand who I am, you have to understand here I came from. I'll spare you the details. So, let's go to a few minutes later, when mom had Klaus and I sitting on my brother's bed. She was looking at me like she was looking at a wounded animal. Looking back on it, I wish I had said something to affirm that I was okay.. at the time, all I could do was sit on Klaus' bed and giggle. For some reason, I just thought everything that night was so hilarious. Klaus biting Jesse, dad coming home early, that new kid Eden wearing vampire fangs around at the party. I mean, I could get into that I thought. It's kinda kinky, you know? Anyway, mom didn't think it was so funny. No, she just spent the time crying and apologizing for something she didn't even do.

I never thought to ask if if Jesse or Eden made it home okay. After all, I was pretty drunk, and the next morning I was in a world of pain. It had to be around ten in the morning when I went downstairs for some water to ease the pounding in my head. Mom and dad were gone, again. Apparently someone had called them to tell them I was having a little too much fun. Jesse was on the couch, looking adorable as always, but was surprised me was the handsome devil standing in my kitchen.

"Eden.."

Claudia frowned a little as she took in the sight of him, still in his clothes from last night. "Have you, uh, been up all night?" She gently pulled her hair into her face a little, attempting to hide the black eye that her raccoon makeup didn't cover. Jess will be up soon, she mused, better make this quick. "Hey, uh... sorry about last night," she said gently, "parents came home, and uh, well.. you heard what happened. Dad's got a bit of a temper." After a pregnant pause she added, "You totally don't know how to get home, do you?"

That night was the first time that I had ever really, seriously wanted to punch my father. I couldn't even recall a time when my father had ever been so openly violent with my twin, at least not in front of me. And I really didn't know what happened behind closed doors, or when he was at soccer practice or just not home. Did my father beat Claudia up a lot? How would I know, she wore a hell of a lot of make up and I was fairly positive that she would cover something like that up. Still, the sight of him pulling my sister up off the floor by her hair, hearing him say those nasty things to her. It made my heart race and my hands ball up in fists. And then our poor mother, crying and apologizing like all of this was her fault, like she was scared. It was the first time I realized how bad our father really was. Don't even ask how I hadn't noticed it until then, I guess it was just my natural instinct to turn a blind eye to things. I didn't like conflict, never had. Just went along with whatever everyone said. But I remember very clearly that that night, I hadn't kept my mouth shut. Everything our father shouted at us was matched with an equal scream of my own. I hated him.

It wasn't long after that when both mother and father disappeared again, apparently too disgusted to look at us. Neither bothered to ask if Claudia was okay, and I tried but she wasn't very willing. I ended up curling up in bed and just lying there for hours, thinking about all the things that I still wanted to say to my father, and then eventually my thoughts strayed to Jesse. I wasn't sure if my friend would ever forgive me, all I could do was apologize really. And hopefully both he and Eden had gotten home safely the previous night, since I had driven them here.

Klaus woke up not long after Claudia did. Not realizing that there was two other people in his house that were not family, he only threw on a white tee before going downstairs in his black and green Monster boxers. Unfortunately, the first place he walked into was the kitchen, where he was immediately greeted by the sight of his sister and... Eden. His hand found the back of his neck and he looked away, coughing awkwardly as he began to back out of the room again. "Oh, um, sorry. I didn't mean to disrupt anything..." The teenager quickly left the room, escaping to the living room where he then found Jesse. If he had took a moment to think about it, he would have realized that Eden being here probably meant that Jesse was too. Of course he was still too busy mulling over the fact that Eden had just seen him in his boxers to think about anything else.

As soon as his eyes found the blonde, he froze. His mind immediately recalled the coppery taste of the other boys blood in his mouth from the previous night and he grimaced, disgusted and angry with himself. Hesitantly he took a step forward, unsure if the other boy was asleep or if he wasn't, if he had noticed him yet. "Jesse?.."

Jesse had found himself back at home after the anger of Mr.Everhart, he had crawled into bed and let himself lay in bed staring at the ceiling for a few hours until finally he slipped into sleep. He didn't know of the violence that had ensued after he had left. The next morning he woke, his hair in a mess piled up on top of his head, He had dark shadows under his eyes and he smelt of alcohol.

He took a quick shower and fixed his appearance, He pulled on some jeans and a sweater and pulled his shoes on. His parents were still asleep and he slipped out.

I don't know why I went back after that whole bite thing. I supposed that I had over reacted, biting happened all the time in those internet videos I had seen. I suppose it had caught me off guard, that was all. I wanted to apologize, I wanted to tell Klaus that it was ok and that I wanted to try that kiss again. Then again, there was something about that bite, something about how it had happened that seemed off. There was that feeling in my gut again...

Jesse walked into the house and saw Eden there and sat on the couch. He often walked into the Everhart house like it was his own. He made himself comfortable and pulled out his phone checking through the facebook pictures that friends had posted on the party from the night before. As he was checking them a soft voice came from behind him, it was Klaus. The voice made him jump up, his phone fell to the ground but he didn't care.
"Uh.... Klaus... Hi. I uh..." He didn't know what to say so he made up for it by asking the age old question " How are you...?" He lifted a hand to his neck and his fingers brushed over the bite mark and he blushed a little.

Seeing Jesse lift his hand to his neck and blush brought another flash of last night back to him, memories of the better part of last night. Dancing with Jesse, the clumsy kiss. It could have gone so well if he hadn't messed it up by biting his poor friend. Then again, it also wouldn't have gone so well if his father found him all over another male in his room. That would not have been easy to explain, and it wasn't like he wanted to please his father or anything even remotely similar to that. But sometimes his fathers favoritism towards him allowed Klaus to get Claudia out of trouble, or at least lessen his fathers anger. That happened to be something he would miss, because he didn't want to see anyone get hurt again.

Everyone was just so important to me back then, it was weird. I wanted to find a way to please everyone, and then I'd come home and realize that I was fucking miserable. Why didn't I ever try and do anything for myself? I was captain of the soccer team, and I wasn't even that crazy about the sport. My teachers had me tutoring other kids besides Jesse, at school and usually during lunch when I would have rather been hanging out with Jesse. But I didn't complain about that either. Dad told me that I was too nice, but I didn't really think that that was the problem.

After a pause, he managed to make himself move again, this time in the direction towards the couch. Without breaking eye contact, he managed to lean down and grab Jesse's previously dropped phone, as well as seat himself sideways on the couch near the other boy. "I am so sorry, Jesse." He took a deep breath, eyes trailing down towards the bite mark again. There was no way that just an apology could make up for that. "I understand if you want to forget about last night but-" why was it so difficult to admit things? Just say, I've had feelings for you since fucking forever. "But.. it wasn't a mistake on my part, I wanted last night to happen."

Eden could hear the chaos from his perch on the roof. Once he noticed that Mr. Everhart was pulling up the driveway, he blended into the shadows and hid behind one of the many trees that surrounded the premises. The thunderous voice of an angry man boomed through Eden's ears and he instantly knew who was being scolded. In curiosity, he climbed onto the roof and peeked through the window, only to witness the harsh punishment thrust upon Claudia. He felt the undeniable urge to jump through the window and rescue her, but he refrained, helplessly watching the poor drunk girl get beaten to a pulp. Once everyone was off to bed, he remained on the roof, pondering what he should do. Should he just leave and hope that he finds his way home? Should he check on her? He felt strangely responsible. Sighing, he made his choice.

Silently, Eden found her window and opened it, allowing the winter breeze to come through. He crept in, making sure to hold his breath in case any blood was shed. There she was, resembling a wounded animal. To his surprise he felt the need to wrap his arms around her. Walking up to her bedside, he pushed her bleached hair from her face, as lightly as he could. His bright eyes darkened at the sight of the swollen skin surrounding her eye. His jaw hardened, and his fangs poked his bottom lip. She was annoying and stupid, but she didn't deserve this.

I felt sympathy, okay. It was a feeling that I wasn't accustom to and I hated feeling it. She just looked so...broken. I wanted to help...I wanted to be there.

He watched the sun rise on the horizon from inside of her bedroom. His head turned as she stirred in her sleep, watching her with expressionless eyes. She seemed to be waking, thus it was his time to go. With unnatural speed, he left her room and made his way to the kitchen, where he leaned against the island with a look of false cool. Before long, she entered the kitchen with her black eye finding refuge behind her blonde locks. He felt the need to embrace her, but kept his hands on the island.

"Eden.." She said in surprise, to which he replied with a cryptic raise of his blonde brow. "Have you, uh, been up all night?" He shrugged his shoulders as confirmation. He didn't speak, simply regarding her with mild interest. "Hey, uh... sorry about last night, parents came home, and uh, well.. you heard what happened. Dad's got a bit of a temper." Eden just stared, wishing with all his might that he could grab her, shake her, and tell her that this wasn't just something that she should brush off. "You totally don't know how to get home, do you?"

Eden simply shook his head in respond before making his way to the freezer and grabbing a frozen bag of peas. Without another word he waltzed up to her, brushing the strands from her face with a gentle hand. He gingerly placed the peas on her eye and held it there. "It looks painful," he said blandly. "This should help." His eyes were empty, but within the depths there was a spark of something. Was it affection? Empathy? Understanding? It was hard to decipher, for it vanished just as quickly as it appeared. It was then that Klaus walked in, clad in nothing, but his boxers. Eden raised his brow, but stepped away from Claudia, placing the frozen peas into her palm.

His gaze as filled with nothing as he stared at Claudia, "Take me home."

Claudia frowned a bit as Eden turned from her and started digging through the freezer. "You probably won't find much to eat in there, mom doesn't really.." Her voice seemed to trail away as he removed a bag of frozen peas and went around the bar to stand in front of her. "It looks painful," his voice was empty as he gingerly reached up to her face with one hand, moving away the curtain of hair that guarded her father's mark. With the other he pressed the frosty bag of vegetables to her swollen eye, adding, "This should help."

I was trying to play it off. Pretend it wasn't a big deal... but his eyes just bore into my soul. Wordlessly scolding me for even thinking that what my father did was okay, or that I deserved it. I could have stared into his eyes forever, watching the way his hues fluttered from one shade to the next. I must have looked like hell, with the same clothes and smeared makeup from the night before, but he didn't say anything about any of that.

Claudia notice that Klaus was no longer looking at her, and turned, still holding the bag to her face, to see her brother. "Take me home." Eden's voice was like melted dark chocolate. She turned back to look at him, ignoring the mild burning of her skin's protest to the cold of the veggies. "Uh.. yeah, no problem. K-" she stopped herself from calling her brother over, overhearing his conversation with Jesse, "...it wasn't a mistake on my part, I wanted last night to happen." A small smile toyed with her lips and she removed the peas from her eye. "Just let me get some keys, and I'm sure I can get you home."

I couldn't ruin my twin's moment. He had been waiting for... well, ever, to tell Jesse how he felt. I couldn't just rip that away from him. He finally had a shot at being happy, and I wasn't going to ruin it because I had butterflies over his new friend.

"Klaus, borrowing the truck! Don't mind us! Be back soon! Love ya, mean it! Don't stop talking! BYE JESSE!" With that, Claudia made quick work of finding Klaus' keys, and quickly led Eden out of the house. The snow was even deeper that morning, but thankfully the roads had been cleared out for the most part. She would have taken her black bug, but it just didn't fare well in the snow. Klaus' truck started with a warm shudder, and then they were off. Goosebumps rippled over her flesh.

I was cussing myself for not grabbing a jacket, but at the time I was so focused on getting us out of the house so that Jesse and Klaus could have a moment.

Claudia glanced over at the male in the passenger seat, offering a small smile. "So... you live in the old Aberdeen house?"

There were such sweet words. "I wanted last night to happen." Jesse looked right back at him, their eyes never left each others and when Klaus had seated himself Jesse opened his mouth to speak but Claudia started shouting at that same moment. She told them that she was borrowing the truck and she said a bye to him as well. "Bye Claudia." He called back, his head turned towards the door to watch her leave and when she was gone he looked back at Klaus.

He swallowed back his fears and let out the breath he had been holding. "I have a question..." he began, "And I wanted it answered honestly." He folded his hands together, fingers lacing tight. "Why did you kiss me?

I have to admit, I believed I had already known the answer to that one. I just couldn't believe it, I needed to hear the words come from his mouth. I had to know that he had the same feelings as I did. I had already forgiven him for the bite, but I though perhaps to play it up a bit, maybe I could play this to my advantage. You'll have to forgive my raging male hormones here, but this was the first time someone I liked had liked me back and I was going to take full advantage of it you see.

"I don't want to forget about last night." Jesse told him "I liked it... well everything but the bite." He admitted.

-borrowing the truck... don't stop talking- Klaus shook his head, amused by his sister's attitude, as usual. He already knew that the first minute they were alone together she would start questioning him about the previous night and especially about what was happening right now. It wasn't like he was looking forward to it or anything, but it wasn't like he was going to be able to talk to anyone else about it. That'd be a fun conversation with his soccer buddies, who had no idea that he was more into guys than he was into girls. And his father would just kill him, considering the fact that he needed to marry a girl in order to carry on the bloodline. Not that he was planning on marrying Jesse anytime soon. Everything he said to his mother went straight back to Daddy so... Well that was out of the question. His sister had always been the person he could go to, and he really hoped that that never changed.

He hadn't really been expecting Jesse to ask what he did, but he was sure how to answer it. Though the first thing that came to mind sort of sounded pathetic, -because I've secretly been in love with you since Bella found out Edward was a vampire. "I kissed you because I like you." It wasn't normal for him to blush, but he was. "A lot." was added for good measure, and finally he broke eye contact to stare down at his hands. "If we're being honest, I've liked you for a long time, I think. Ask Claudia, she knows." A breathy laugh escaped, he was so nervous. "I'm really sorry about that," his eyes flicked back up to find the mark and he grimaced again. "I- I don't know what happened."

Eden licked his lips as the cool winter wind blew in his face. His eyes drifted from the white of the snow to Claudia. He noted that she didn't bring her coat. His inner gentleman was tempted to offer his coat, but he quickly chose not to. If she was dumb enough not to bring a coat then let her ass freeze.

Old habits die hard, my nice streak was bound to break sometime.

He hopped into the passenger's seat, wordlessly, allowing his blue eyes to gaze out of the window in faint awe. He loved the snow and the cold. The sweet memories of Russia roamed his mind and for a minute he was in bliss. However, his thoughts were interrupted when her voice slice through his concentration.

"So... you live in the old Aberdeen house?", he could practically hear her smile, but he kept his head turned away from her. He nodded, eyes still on the snow.

My family likes their privacy, so the Aberdeen house was in the perfect location. It was in the woods, near Winchester creek. No one bothered to go there, and my father knew it. He did his research. I didn't like the house, but I was fond of the forestry. I liked that I could have a place to calmly hate everyone.

They pulled up into front of the house and Eden sighed in relief. He glanced at Claudia, eyes portraying nothing. He felt as if he should say something..."You should keep the peas on your eye." With that, he left, closing the door behind him.

I forgot to mention that I have siblings. Two of them, actually. I'm the eldest and the only boy. Well, there's Lily, she's adopted and she is the youngest, but then there is Elena, the middle child and the bitch. You'll see what I mean...

"Eddie!" Eden rolled his eyes as Elena ran out of the house just as he exited the car. "Where the hell were you? I had to finish unpacking without you."

"Ugh, Elena get in the house," Eden groaned. "Your making yourself look bad."

Elena rolled her crystal eyes. "Were you out screwing her or something?" She gestured to Claudia, eyeing the other girl with a look of disgust. "Ew, you sure know how to pick them. She smells like a bar."

"In the house, now, Elena!" Eden growled lowly, eyes darkening and fangs poking his lip. Elena sneered at Claudia before walking back into the house in anger. Eden sighed, composing himself before looking back at Claudia. He gave her a slight nod in thanks before trekking up the path and entering his home.

Claudia watched with mild interest as Eden jumped out of her brother's truck and started for his house. "Eddie!" Claudia felt a brow lift on her face as the girl bounced around the yard rattling off questions at a mile a minute. Unamused, Claudia put the truck in reverse and proceeded to make her way out of the driveway. The two were talking about something, but she couldn't hear them over the dull rumble of the heat and the truck's engine. As she was about to drive away, she cast one last look at Eden in time to see him give her a small nod and then turn and enter the house. Ungrateful, prick. Driving off, it didn't take her long to get the truck back to her house.

She parked the truck and sat in the cab for a while, watching her house through the steam that rolled from the engine as the snow fell onto the roof. So many good and bad memories. Her mind flicked to the events happening inside the home, Jesse and Klaus having their first heart-to-heart. Curiosity burned inside her, but she couldn't bring herself to go in and ruin whatever kind of moment they were having. Surely Klaus would spill the beans as soon as they got Jesse home. She'd probably ride with them, since no one was home and she didn't really care to be left alone with her thoughts. She sighed, and upon smelling her own breath she winced. Oh, god. Wincing, she got out of the truck and snuck around the the side of the house. A quick scaling of the tree (which she had done plenty of times before), and she was in her bedroom.

She took her time showering, enjoying the feel of the steam. Feeling more sober, and much cleaner, she dressed for the day. With some time to still kill, she peeked through her door to the hallway and let out the Hunger Games whistle for her brother, to let him know she was home, if and when he was ready to go or talk to her since she had the truck keys. Knowing that he'd come get her when he was ready to take Jesse home, she plopped herself onto her bed and stared at the floor, debating on if she would turn on some music, write something, or even crack open a book.

Re: In Our Veins

Mkay now that everyone has posted, feel free to take off! ^-^ Also, the style of my post is just something new I tried out and liked. Feel free to continue to use it, or post in whatever kind style you want (as long as it's not completely first person :3) The posts are beautiful and I am enjoying reading them :3

Re: In Our Veins

haha, I'm exactly like that except with Halloween. Last year I spent most of my savings on decorations and costumes and what not. My front yard was amazing haha. I love halloween, it is my favourite holiday, though I have to agree that christmas is really touching as well. I always cry around christmas though haha. I'm one of those silly people that can cry at anything, I cried in Tangled even. But despite that, I'm pretty cool I hope lol.

Re: In Our Veins

You're welcome <3

And a little insider information about myself; I'm obsessed with Christmas... Literally.. When I'm old and grey I will be that little old lady with the light up Christmas sweater and an electric bill the size of Texas during the holiday season... :3 I just can't get enough of it lol It's my favorite time of year, and not even because of the gifts or anything.. it's because of the atmosphere around Christmas time. Everyone is so happy, and cheerful and just... it just feels nice. People are kinder to each other, and everyone just seems happier. Plus, if you have little kids around, their little faces are all lit up from Christmas lights or the thought of Santa. It's just magical.

Okay, well, there you have it. Jynxii's all-time quirk. xD

Re: In Our Veins

Daw, well we keep appearing in other roleplays together it was about time we had one with just us haha. :) I'm really excited to see how this turns out. I appreciate the compliment on Jesse!

Also on a completely unrelated note, I can hear christmas music and its kinda weird... lol

Re: In Our Veins

You're not allowed to have a life, Bandgeek! >.>

xD I'm kidding. He's been accepted and I'll hop on to putting the first post up. ^-^ There won't be any particular posting order, guys, so after everyone has at least one post up; feel free to take it away from there. ^-^

A note on the characters: I LOVE them! You guys all worked so very hard and I could definately tell that each of you spent a good deal of effort developing and creating your character sheets. I really, honestly, loved reading each of them and I am so proud to call you friends, and partners <3 I'm so glad to see that you are all as excited and enthused about this as I am. :3
