"Well excuse me for having shorter legs than you!!" Farther down the tunnel, Kanoa quickly realizes, they had lost the others. He was running in a completely random direction while the others took off in seperate paths. He held up his lantern, and sure enough, the others had gone. "Great job, 'partner'! Now we're lost!"
Kanoa was getting irritated. "Look, I don't need this right now! Let's just keep moving--" There was a noise coming from ahead of them, like a bunch of tiny footsteps stampeding through the tunnel. Kudamon. Lots of Kudamon, who were eyeing Kanoa and Mushroomon menacingly. "H-hey, theyse guys look...friendly...?"
"These guys are the ones working for the digi-destined!" Mushroomon said, getting in front of Kanoa.
"How do you know?!"
"Just look at them!" Mushroomon snapped back. "Those guys have a lot of hate in their faces. They're ready to tear us to shreads!"
"L-lets get out of here then..." Kanoa suggested backing away. Mushroomon was getting irritated again. "No! That's exactly what's wrong with you!! You never stand your ground!" Kanoa glared back at Mushroomon. "Why should we?! Fighting's not the only answer you know!"
Mushroomon was fed up with this argument. Full of anger, Mushroomon rushed the Kudamon, and before Kanoa could call him back, Mushroomon began to glow. "Mushroomon digivolve to....Woodmon!!" Kanoa was surprised. He was now this large, tree like creature, who was battering the assaulting Kudamon away with his large branches. In no time, the weaker digimon were on the ground, barely conscious.
"Wh-why'd you do that!?" As if in response to his question, the Kudamon's bodies began to squirm slighly, as small back gears were ejected from their backs. Kanoa was amazed, as the gears rose into the air and disintegrated in midair. "Th...that was..."
"That was the reason...that is the reason we fight. Kanoa." Woodmon said, turning to him. "You may not like it, but the black gears make digimon suffer. We need to do what we do to free them from it." Kanoa simply stared. He looked down. We can't do anything else...but fight... Kanoa looked up, holding the lantern in front of him. "Let's find a way out." Woodmon nodded, as he followed Kanoa down the tunnels.

"Then lets go back." Veemon said turning around.
"If you havent noticed, we're lost! I dont even know the way we came from!"
"Well, it's your fault!" Veemon stated.
"MY FAULT?! Whos the one who dragged be through the tunnels randomly?!" Shiro shot back.
"So you're saying this is all my fault now?"
"Forget it Veemon!" Shiro gave up and sat down. "I'm not going anywhere until you figure out where to go."
"How am I supposed yo know! You have a brain too, so think!" Veemon protested.
"You're a digimon, you should know the places around here!"
"Not when it's half destroyed!" Veemon sighed and sat down as well. "I give up... arguing wont do us anything." They sat there, sighing at the same time. "I'm hungry.." Veemon said as his stomach growled. "Well right now isnt the time for food." Shiro said leaning back against a tree. There was another growl, "Veemon... if you were going to be that hungry, you should have ate more when we had the food."
Veemon looked at Shiro a bit funny, "Speak for yourself partner.." he mumbled as another growl came. "You seem hungry too." Shiro looked at Veemon, "That wasnt me.." "Then who was it? There's only me and you......" Veemon started to trail off. "Um... Shiro, I think we have company.."

Labramon dragged his now sleeping master along, following Orestes and Matsu. He didn't want to lose them... That could be trouble.
Rex and Fane followed Orestes and Matsu. Fane gave a slight sigh. This wasn't fast enough.
"Hey little dude..." "You got it! Kotemon digivolve to... Kyukimon!" Rex stood up to his full size and looked down at Fane who grinned. He jumped up and sat on his back as Rex leaned down. Rex the took off at an extremely impressive speed. The only words heard were,
"Hurry!"

"That's Leomon..." Veemon whispered, "And trust me.. he's pretty strong.."
"Please tell me he's a good digimon..." Shiro said quietly.
"Fist of the Beast King." Leomon said. A fire that was shaped as a lions head shot out from his fist. Shiro ducked just in time. "I'm guessing that's a no!" Shiro started running with Veemon. "Dont just run, lets fight!" Veemon said while running. Shiro gave a knowing nod, and Veemon digivolved to Raidramon. "Electric bite." Raidramon bit one of Leomon's arms as electricity charged in his fangs. Leomon shook him off, and used Fist of the Beast King once more. Riadramon moved away just in time. "Lightning Blade." Blue thunder was shot from his horns, hitting Leomon directly on the chest. Leomon fell on the ground and a black gear came out, disintegrating.
"That... was a black gear.. wasnt it?"
Riadramon nodded. Leomon sat up and looked around, then looked at Shiro and Raidramon, "Who are you.. human? I dont believe you're one of the digi-destines.." he began.
"I'm not.. In fact.. I'm one of the insert children.. well at least that's what Rosemon told us.." Shiro answered.
"Us? You mean there's more humans here? did you... insert children come to help us digimons..?" Leomon asked while getting up. Shiro stared at him and nodded, "I guess so.. but we kind of lost them.. and we cant find our way back."
"Well then... tell me, what is you're name?" Leomon looked at Shiro, "My name is Shiro.." he replied. Leomon nodded and motioned for him to follow. Being tired, Veemon
de-digivolved to demiveemon, and hopped into Shiro's arm.

"DemiVeemon... you should chew your food next time.." Shiro said. DemiVeemon ignored him and ate his food as well. "It always tasted better when you steal!" he said licking his lips. Shiro let out a sigh but smiled.
"So, how did you come here?" Leomon asked.
Shiro turned his attention back to Leomon, "I'm really not sure. I was in the computer room back in the real world, until.. I guess I got sucked into the computer.."
"Do you have a digivice?"
Shiro shook his head, "Nope."
Leomon seemed confused, "Then.. how did you digivolve before?"
"I'm really not sure. Once our digimon shared a bond with us, they started digivolving.. and well the digi-eggs help us too." Shiro answered.

Orestes de-digivolved to Renamon, he was exhausted as well.
"Well, he's a Renamon now," Matsu giggled, then she stopped, "I'm tired. Anyway, there are more insert children other than us. Unfortunately, we all had our butts handed to us by an evil Digidestined."

"It's a shame how the digi-destines turned out this way, but now.. the digital world depends on you humans.." Leomon said. "It's going to be a tough job, but I'm pretty sure you guys can handle it as long as you work together as a team."
"We'll try out best.. but I'm really not sure if we can.." Shiro started to say..
"Dont say anything stupid Shiro. I'll make sure there digital world gets saved by thise digi-destines!" DemiVeemon shouted. "I stuffed my stomach with food, so I'm ready to battle once more!"
Leomon laughed, "He sure is a confident one.." he said with a smile.
"Too confident.." Shiro added.

"That's good. Means no one's trying to kill us." Woodmon replied.
Kanoa stopped. The thought had been bugging him. Woodmon stopped to, staring at Kanoa expecting something. "Why..." Kanoa felt a little scared to ask, thinking they might argue again. But he felt it was a good time. "Why do you think conflicts have to be resolved with fighting?" He asked.
Woodmon stared down the darkness of the tunnel. "Because. That's all this world has known." He replied simply. "There are stories. Past down from generation to generation of digimon, of evil beings trying to destroy or take over the digital world. They were cruel and unforgiving. The only thing that could stop them were the digi-destined. The ones who worked with other digimon to make them strong enough to take down evil." He looked back down at Kanoa. "They were chosen. So they had a feeling of responsibility to this world. You weren't chosen Kanoa, but I think your were brought here for a reason, and if you run from those responsibilities..." Woodmon began walking again, down the tunnel. "...then your more of a coward than I thought you were."
Kanoa stood there, a dumb look on his face. Woodmon... He felt like he finally understood somewhat, what Woodmon was trying to say. Up until now, Kanoa was trying to run from conflict, looking for an easy way out. He kinda' felt ashamed of himself now, but at least now, he knew what to do. "This world is in trouble..." Kanoa said to himself. "...I need to help make things right again..." He looked up, following Woodmon.
Soon, the Kudamon they had helped before, appeared just ahead of them. Wanting to thank Kanoa and Woodmon for freeing them from the black gears, led them the right way out of the tunnel. By the time they found the exit, Woodmon used up enough energy to revert back to Mushroomon. They climbed up the side of the wall, the Kudamon following close behind, until they reached the surface. "Aah! Oh beauteous sunbeams, how I missed you!" Kanoa said, laughing.
"Hehe, so I guess your a plant too then? Can't live without the sun light?" Mushroomon asked, grinning.
"Hahaha, I guess so!" Kanoa agreed. They soon spotted the others, as they walked over.

"I heard of you, but never actually saw you before. Isn't that odd?" Orestes said, "I guess I must have not lived long enough, maybe."
As the companions ate, they became increasingly energetic.
After finishing, Orestes smirked slightly, "I'll be glad when I help kick them evil digidestined to the curb."

DemiVeemon jumped up and down, "ME ME ME ME ME ME ME!" he said jumping all over the place. He started gulping down the food as Leomon handed him some.
"DemiVeemon.. arent you eating too much?" Shiro asked a bit worried.
"Nope! And besides I need to eat a lot in order to fight those digi-destines." he said stuffing his mouth with even more food. Shiro let out a nervous laugh and scratched his head.

Kanoa laughed. "I know, right?" He then got up the nerve to ask. "So uh...who's our felinic, hopefully friendly, friend here?"

Leomon nodded and handed them some food as well, "I'm guessing there are more of you here. It's a good thing everyone is coming together again." Leomon said looking at all of us.
"Yeah, there's still Hex and Songrose missing..." Shiro said looking down at DemiVeemon. "There's also Fane.. one of the digi-destines.. He was the only one who didnt try taking over the digital world."
"Fane... I think I've heard that name before.." Leomon stated.

Leomon looked at Matsu, "I believe you guys can some how manage. But you have to believe in yourself and the others as well." he said.
"Yeah, what he said." DemiVeemon agreed. DemiVeemon jumped on Shiro's head saying, "You shouldnt think negative. Always think postitive." he said, looking proud of what he said.

Songrose woke up, feeling herself being dragged. At least, she thought she felt like she was being dragged...she was much too tired to be able to tell the difference. She forced her eyes to open, and found Labramon dragging her along. She grabbed lightly at some of his fur, asking, "How long have I been out?" She only wanted to know how long Labramon had been dragging her; she didn't want him to wear himself out too much. She glanced around. "And...did everyone get separated?"

Mushroomon objected. "We can't, we'd get lost ourselves. Besides, it's way too dark in there for us to see anyway..."
As upsetting as that was, he was right. There wasn't any way for any of them present to navigate those passageways. Unless...Kanoa then had an idea. "What about the Kudamon? They led us out right? Then maybe they can find the other two for us."
"Well, they should still be at the exit, maybe someone can go ask them?" Mushroomon said.

"We can go look for them." DemiVeemon suggested looking down at Shiro from his head.
"Not a good idea DemiVeemon.. if we go back in there, there's a chance that we're going to get lost again. It's best for us to wait.. if they dont come out by the time the sunsets.. then we have no choice to go look for them." Shiro explained. DemiVeemon nodded, "Hmm.. you have a good reasoning. Ok, we'll wait."
