The letter was very random. One day Dominique was checking her mail, surprised to see the familiar handwriting of her mother. She didn't question much why her mom didn't call her, more or less happy simply to hear from her far away family. Opening the letter, it simply stated that Dominique had to get back home as soon as she possibly could, because something 'big had happened'. The weekend was coming up, so Dom took the opportunity to pack up her backs and drive to South Dakota, where her family lived. She tried calling on her way there, but no one from her family was picking up their phones. Starting to get worried, Dominique did as the letter asked of her, and drove as fast as she could from Iowa to South Dakota. Getting home late, Dominique found it odd that the lights weren't on in her families house. Even if her parents were too tired to stay up for her, Dom's younger siblings would of pounced on the excuse to stay up late. Zipped up in a warm leather jacket and snow pants, Dominique dragged her suit case and back pack through the fresh snow, half expecting one of her younger siblings to have heard her, and opened the door by now.
Dominique got to the porch of her house, trying to turn the door nob, only to realized that it was locked. Dom stood, baffled that her family didn't even leave the door open for her. Fumbling with her key chain in her thick gloves, Dominique unlocked the door using her own personal key, swinging the door open, but not walking into the dark house. Something felt wrong, like her gut was telling her to get back in her car and drive the multiple hour drive back to her collage. Although feeling uneasy, Dom took a step into the dark mud room, stomping her feet loudly to get the snow off, hoping that maybe if she made a bunch of noise, someone would come downstairs to greet her. Closing the door Dominique started to take off her thick jacket, but paused halfway through pulling her arm out of the sleeve, finally getting a good look down the hallway now that her eyes were adjusted to the dark.
There was a table against one of the walls that usually had a bowl for keys and candles on it, but Dom realized the items on the table had been knocked off, like someone pushed them off while they were running by. It wasn't like Dominique's mother to leave such a mess on the floor, setting off red flags in her head. Dominique slipped her jacket back on, but instead of exiting the house, she walked farther in, stepping around the broken shards of glass candle. The entire rest of the house was a mess, things were broken and everything that would be on the counters was shoved off. However, nothing seemed to be taken. The families rather large TV, and multiple surround sound speakers, which were noticeably expensive, were left alone. Dominique looked around the demolished house, fear and worry rising in her chest as she realized there was still no sign of her family. Dom went upstairs, not surprised to see it was in the same state, although not as bad, as if the intruders only half assed their attempts in searching upstairs. Dominique explored the entire upstairs, seeing no sign of her family anywhere. She pulled out her phone, about to call the police and explain what was going on, but stopped when she heard the stairs creak, like someone was walking up them. Slipping her phone into her jacket, Dominique hurried out of the room she was in, calling out her fathers name.
Dominique froze when she saw the person on the stairs. It was no one she recognized, their form much to big to be anyone in her family. Dominique started to back away, but the man on the stairs rushed at her before she could do anything. Dominique barely got out a yelp before the figures heavy fist made contact with her head. Instantly everything went black, an intense pain shooting through Dominique's temple. Every once and a while Dom would come-to for a few seconds, but only saw blurry figures, and head the hum of engines. When she managed to stay awake for more then a few seconds, she was in a bed, strapped down. There were people talking in low voices, and it took Dominique a few seconds to process that the voices were those of her father and kid brother, Desmond. Dominique looked around, shocked to see her entire family chained up, sitting in the corner of a very dirty cell, all of them either crying or looking like they were about to cry. Dom looked out the cell to see that there were more families in the cells around them, all of them looking grave and defeated. The last thing Dominique remembers before passing out again was noticing there was a strange blue liquid dripping from an IV into her arm.

The morning was somewhat warm and humid already. It was the 4th day of August and Robin Slater was out on his morning run through the Mall. The sun was just rising, but lights still lit up the Washington Memorial as it loomed before him. As he ran through the pathways and past the park benches, the assembly of homeless were just starting to stir. It would not be long before the police made their way through this area to shoo them out before the tourists started to roll in for the day.

Robin stopped to take a breather before finishing the rest of his run. He looked around for a moment watching a homeless man in a long trench coat stir on the bench behind him, then turned his attention to a street sweeping machine making it's way down the street with a low purr of it's engine. He bent over to put his hands on his thighs, taking in a deep breath before resuming his run.

As he started the stand up, the shuffling of feet could be heard nearby. Turning to look, he sees the homeless now standing behind him, a wooden club raised over his head and now descending quickly to his skull. All goes black.

He was not aware of how long he had been unconscious. He had no idea as to where he was. The damp, dank room he was in was dimly lit. The floors and walls seemed to be made of the same rusty steel and were covered with a light layer of moisture. One door was in the room. Robin slowly rises to his feet, his head pounding with pain and vision a bit blurry at this time. Resting his hand on the door, he gives it a sharp push, but the door has no give to it. There is no knob to turn.

Looking around the room some more, he sees there is no window to the outside world. The only other object in the room with him is one bare light bulb hanging about ten feet over his head, dangle by a electrical cord coming out of the ceiling. A grating sound now comes from behind him, turning to see what is causing the noise, he sees a slot in the door is open and a pair of eyes looking in at him. "He's awake," is all Robin hears from the other side of the door before the slot is slammed shut.

When Dominique fully woke up again, she was in a different room, alone, sleeping on a thin bed matt. Groaning she sat up to look around the tiny room, which consisted of a sink, non-glass mirror, a unshielded toilet, and very little room to walk around between those items and her bed matt. Dominique's head was spinning, pounding around the area where she hit got hit in the head. Around her, Dom could hear voices, and terrified screams, but for some odd reason Dominique wasn't freaking out. Instead she just sat there, legs sprawled out, and looking around the dull room, noticing that there was a very small window on the thick metal door, which showed her a very limited view of the hallway outside her door. Dominique got up to look out, but flinched back when a very large man suddenly came into view. Seeing her on the other side of the glass, he started fiddling with what sounded like a key.
Through the door, the man called to a very confused Dominique, "Go to the opposite wall, and put your hands on the wall." Dominique stayed where she was, confused and starting to get angry. The man looked up, seeing her disobeying, and instantly got mad. "Bitch, I will beat the shit out of you if you don't do as I say!" His loud, deep voice was enough to scare Dominique into obedience, quickly turning and pressing her sweaty palms against the wall. It was now that she realized she was still in her clothing from the night before. Excitement bubbled in Dominique's chest as she remembered there was a 'hidden' pocket in her jacket, which had a knife she always carried with her in it. Dominique tried not to show her triumph, wiping her face of any emotion.
The guard on the other side of the door finally came in, his heavy boots thudding loudly against the ground as he came up in back of her, grabbing her wrists roughly and yanking them behind her back. Dominique clenched her jaw, feeling tight hand cuffs pinch her skin. The last time she was in hand cuffs it was for a Halloween party, her lover at the time was a cop, and she was a criminal, being lead around by the cuffs. The guard lead Dominique out of the room, taking her down multiple hallways, and going up a few flights of stairs, before coming upon two double doors at the end of the hallway. The guard stopped Dominique, uncuffing her, and pushing her towards the door. When they got to them, the guard grumbled, "Knock," before walking away. Dom watched the man walk to the end of the hallway, but he didn't leave until he saw her do as he said.
With a shaking hand, Dominique gave a tiny knock, actually surprised that someone answered right away. Opening the door Dominique walked into a very large, but very empty office. The window walls had the blinds down, there was a large desk in the middle of the room, and there were two chairs, a couple of file cabinets, and a small couch that was against the far right wall. There was a man sitting at the desk, his hands folded together, a small smile on his face. The most shocking thing about his appearance were his grey eyes, which were piercing, taking in every detail of someone easily. Dominique stood in front of the door, staring at the man, who was now standing. "Dominique Barrel! How lovely it is to meet you in person, finally!" Dominique flinched at the sound of her name on the mans surprisingly soft voice. "Please, come and sit down!" The man said is as a request, but his eyes darkened, as if it was an order. Dominique didn't fight, walking over and sitting down stiffly, hating how the mans constant smile grew. "I will explain everything once our second guest comes. For now, I will tell you that my name is Lucius Zander, and that I am the creator of what is happening here." Dominique stared at Lucius, her blue eyes boring into his grey ones. This man is the reason she was ripped out of her life, thrown into such unfamiliar territory? Anger was clear across Dom's face, her disgust growing as the man seemed to be delighted to see Dominique so livid.
Dominique slowly inched her hand towards the hidden jacket pocket, knowing that if she managed to jump up fast enough, she could burry the three inch blade into his neck. Before Dominique's hand even got close to her knife, however, there was another knock at the door. Lucius didn't take his eyes off of Dom's as he called the new comer in. Dominique refused to look away, the two staring, one angry, the other excited. It was Lucius who looked away first, looking up to the person who stepped into the room. "Ah, Robin Slater! I'm so glad you could join us! Please, sit down." Dominique glared at Lucius, only looking away when she saw movement next to her. Dom's anger turned to interest when she saw the man, Robin. He looked a mixture of angry and scared, his large shoulders tense, and his eyes wide, taking in every detail of his surroundings, including Dominique. Lucius introduced both him and Dominique to Robin, Dom only nodding to the man, looking back with hatred at Lucius.
"Now that we've gotten introductions out of the way, we can get to explaining where you are and why you are here," Lucius' smile continued to spread across his face in delight as he sat down, crossing his hands on the desk again. "This place is called the Institution. It was once a old prison, but was abandoned due to a bad storm, which crippled its electrical system. We are now using the remote prison as a lab." Lucius paused, taking in the shocked and confused looks of his audience. "You see, my goal in life is to create human weapons. As you can imagine, I need living subjects to fulfill this dream-" Dominique suddenly interrupted Lucius, her anger getting the better of her again, "Why can't you just get willing subjects? Why did you choose us? I've got better things to do, rather then getting abducted and tested on like some animal." Lucius' smile went away, anger replacing it. "Do not interrupt me!" He screamed, jumping up. Dom flinched backwards, tensing up. Lucius took a few heavy breaths before speaking in a tense tone, "To answer your question, Miss Barrel, no one will come willingly if they know how horrible it will be for them. That, and what I'm doing is considered illegal, so there's no way for me to possible do this above the radar."
"Now, we have a little elimination process here before we get started on the actual testing, but I will have Juan, my guard, explain that to you as he gives you the official orientation," The smile was back, and Lucius was calm again, sitting down. Dominique looked to Robin, her anger only growing. Lucius pressed a button on his desk with a beep, Juan, the large guard that escorted Dominique, came in with a second large man. "Juan, Sam, please take our new members and give them the run-down of the next few processes." Once again handcuffs were put on Dominique and Robin, the two 'new members' being lead reluctantly out of the room. They were shown lazily around the rather large prison, shown the lunch room, the showers and bathrooms, they explained the schedules of meal time and shower time, as well as showing them an indoor gym, which they would have access too a few hours a day. The last thing that was shown to them, was a rather large pit, which had raised seats, much like a gladiator ring. "This will be your fighting ring." Juan lazily gestured to the pit ten feet below.
Both Robin and Dominique looked at the guard, confused. "Once a week you will fight an opponent. You will kill that opponent, or be killed yourself. Once you have won at least ten rounds of Vanilla fighting, you will then move onto the next steps of the process, which are being tested on. Every day you will come here to watch a fight occur. I recommend you take notes on everyone's fighting styles, their strengths, and their weaknesses, because you won't know who you're fighting until the moment of. Today is Saturday, which is the only day we do not fight the inmates. Tomorrow you will both be entered in to fight a random opponent. If you win, you will fight the next week, so on and so forth." Dominique stood, stunned into silence. Her brain was going a mile a minute trying to process the information. She was to fight a random person, kill them or be killed? Tears started to well in Dom's eyes as she was walked back to her cell, separating from Robin and Sam, the other guard. Once in her cell, Dominique sat down on the uncomfortable matt, staring hopelessly at the wall in front of her. "This is going to be hell..."

The click of a bolt moving inside the door told Robin that the door was being unlocked. Soon a large African American man was stepping in, two other men still outside the cell that Robin could see. All three men had hardened rubber batons in their hands and Robin could tell they would be more than eager to use them if need be. The man walking into the room talked to Robin in a loud, booming voice, "Turn your ass around and put your hands on that wall before I beat you senseless, fool." Robin just held up his hands as if to say no problem and gave a small nod of his head as he did as he was told.

Soon his arm was yanked roughly behind him and the cool metal of handcuffs could be felt being snapped into place on first one wrist and then the next. A strong yank was given and Robin was pulled from the wall and twisted around until he was heading out into the corridor. The two other men now grabbed him, one on each arm, and led him down the corridor. Taking a series of turns and stairways, they finally stood before a hallway that led to another door.

Another large guard was already standing there, leaning against the wall and watching the doorway at the end of the hallway. "Hey there, Sam," he said to the large black man as he worked on unlocking the handcuffs on Robin. "What's happening, Juan?" The first man, apparently named Juan, just chuckled a bit and shook his head, "You know, same shit, different day.: Sam laughed a bit at this and then gave Robin a sharp shove in his back. "Get your white ass down there and knock on that door and don't make me have to tell you twice." Robing rubbed his wrists a bit and then started to slowly make his way to the door before him, Sam walking in stride behind him.

When he reached the doorway, he gave a light rap on the door and was invited in. Upon entering, he saw a man behind a desk and a redheaded woman sitting in a chair before him. Upon being directed to sit down he did. He sat silently as he listened to the man speak and the woman ask a question which enraged the man. All he could do was give a slight grin at the response of the man.

After he was done speaking, Robin was taken with the young woman, Dominique he believed he heard her name was, and went on the tour that Juan and Sam escorted them on. Once the tour was over, Dominique was taken in one direction, and he was taken by Sam to another hallway. He watched her for a moment before being tugged away. She seemed to be calm and perhaps a bit defiant on the outside. He wondered if she was trembling on the inside as he was.

Robin could tell he was being taken back a different way than where they had come from. He was pulled to a stop in front of a thick metal door that Sam opened with a key. The room was dimly lit, but it seemed to be a better place than where he first came from. He saw a thin mat on the floor, a sink/toilet combination with a shiny piece of metal attached to the wall to likely serve as a mirror. A set of grey clothing was lying on the mat.

"Put that clothes on," Sam directed him. "I will be back in an hour to get you for supper. Be ready. You hear me, boy?" Robin nodded his head, [color#3358ff]"Yea, I hear you just fine," Robin replied. The door then slammed behind him and locked. Robin could hear him walking away and after standing there for a moment, he started to undress so he could put on the clothes lying there.

That night Dominique hardly slept. She sat on her matt, crying silently, shifting every once and a while when the spot she was sitting on got too deflated. With no way to tell the time, Dominique felt like the night would never end. Finally, after falling asleep from pure exhaustion from crying, the slot in her door opened. Sam, the familiar guard, looked through the door at her, his cruel eyes hungrily looking her up and down. "Hands against the opposite wall, now," Sam growled. Dominique glared with red puffy eyes, but did as she was told. Sam unlocked the door, and threw something on the floor at her feet. It looked to be a pair of sweat pants and a baggy top. "Put it on, now," Sam demanded, seemingly wanting everything done at that moment. Dominique picked up the clothing, her mind flashing to the knife that she had hidden in her pocket. If she took off her jacket, she had no way of protecting herself. Sam got impatient, Dominique just standing there staring at the clothing. he grabbed Dom's jacket and ripped it off, practically dislocating her shoulder at the same time. "Ow! Hey, stop! I can dress myself!" Dominique yelled, attempting to shove the man twice her size away.
Quickly Dom pulled off her own jacket, throwing it onto the thin pillow on her matt. Sam didn't seem to care that she wanted to keep the jacket, he just stood back and watched with a ugly smile as Dom took off her shirt awkwardly, trying to hide as much of herself as possible. Dressing as fast as possible, Dominique was then cuffed by a still grinning Sam, and lead out of the cell, and to the large mess hall, which had about ten people in it. Dominique was uncuffed, many people staring at her as she was let loose. Quickly glancing around the room, Dom's heart dropped, not seeing anyone in her family. She stood there for a second before edging towards the food line, which had a small choice of some type of mystery meat sandwiches, corn or green beans, and a stale looking roll. Not at all hungry, Dominique only grabbed a sandwich and a small amount of corn, once again looking around the room, trying to figure out where she could sit. That's when she noticed Robin Slater, the man she met yesterday. He was sitting alone, chewing on one of the rolls with a wrinkled nose.
Hurrying over to the familiar man, Dominique sat down, catching the mans attention. Dominique held out her hand, trying to smile politely, "Hi, I'm Dominique, we met yesterday..." Robin shook her hand, nodding to her, the disgusted look still on his face as he tried to swallow the sad excuse of bread. Dominique didn't even bother trying to eat her food, looking around the lunch room, many people still staring at her. Everyone looked hopeless on the inside, a dead look in their eyes, a few people looking mean. "This whole situation... I feel like I'm in a dream," Dominique mumbled, "My family should be here... I haven't really seen them ever sense I got here, not that I had much of a chance... I've only seen them once, and I was too groggy to really notice." Dominique's eyes started to water, but before she could settle on the negative emotions, Juan, the first guard, walked into the room with a clip bored. "Akins, Andrews, Barrel, Ender, Slater, Zander, with me. It's time for your Pit time." Robin and Dominique met eyes, fear flashing in Dom's. Throwing away her untouched food, her and the five other people all went over to Juan, who didn't bother cuffing them. Taking the group across the room, and through a couple hallways, the group was lead into a locker room. "You're opponents are already ready. Akins goes first, then Ender, Slater, Zander, Andrews, and last is Barrel." Juan sounded bored, as if practically giving these people their death certificate was something normal. The middle aged woman, Akins, was sent out right away. When she walked out of the door across the room, there was a loud automated voice calling, "Julia Akins versus Hamich Jacobs."
The group sat silently, Juan doodling lazily on his clip board. Fifteen minutes later, a telephone rang next to Juan, who quickly picked it up. A grin spread across his face, and he hung up the phone. "Hamich Jacobs won... Ender, you're up." There was a pause of surprise, everyone looking at one another with scared faces. Dominique, who was sitting next to Robin, couldn't help but scoot closer to the bigger man, trying to remember the details of Julia Akins face. The young boy, who looked to be 18, walked out, the voice announcing who he was. This time the group waited about twenty minutes before the phone rang. Ender had won, although he didn't come back into the locker room. Robin was then sent out, taking one last look at Dominique before exiting through the doors. Ten minutes, then Sam announced that Robin had won. Dominique released the breath she had been subconsciously holding ever sense the phone rang. Next was Zander, who lost, then Andrews, who had won but then died right after because she had bled out shortly after winning. Finally it was Dominique's turn to fight. Shaking uncontrollably, Dom walked out into a large dirt arena, bright lights shining in her eyes. Dominique barley even registered the animated voice until she recognized the name. "Dominique Barrel Versus Desmond Barrel."
Dom froze where she stood, looking across the large arena to see her terrified looking little brother standing on the other side. Desmond was only 15, although he was tall for his age, almost as tall as Dominique. Desmond was always strong, although when the two were younger, Dominique was always able to over power her younger brother, and that never changed. Dominique walked towards her brother, who was also shaking, tears trailing down his face. The two hugged tightly, Desmond flinching when Lucius' voice came on the intercom, "If you two don't fight, you both will face a punishment worse than death. I suggest you hurry your good byes up." Desmond started to cry harder, pulling away from Dominique, who was now struggling to hold her own panic back. "Dom, what are we going to do? I-I don't want to die, or be punished..." Dominique grabbed Des' hand. "Don't worry, they won't hurt a kid as young as you, maybe if we just refuse to fight..." Even Dominique knew that she didn't sound very convincing. "I-I saw a ten year old boy get sent out, he didn't come back... He went up against that Andrews lady. I-I saw what happened. He bit her wrist like an animal, and she had to snap his neck to get him off... I-I'm sorry, Dom, but I can't..." To Dominique's horror, Desmond backed away, and put his fists up.
Now she was crying, falling to her knees in the blood stained dirt. "Des... Please don't-" Desmond slammed his fist into his sisters face, Dominique yelping and falling to the ground, Desmond letting out a strangled cry as tears poured harder out of his eyes. Desmond started to kick his sister in the ribs, Dominique just laying there, grunting and coughing with each kick. Lucius' voice came back on the over head, "Miss Barrel, if you don't fight back we'll kill your brother in the most horrendous way you can think. Get up and hit him." Desmond paused in his relentless kicking, fear in his eyes at the change in the game. Anger rushed through Dominique, screaming up into the air, "Fuck you!" Suddenly Desmond kicked Dom, hard, in the head. Vision going black for a second, a loud ringing squealed in her ears. She rolled onto her other side, back to Desmond, holding the area where her brothers shoe hit her in the temple. There was a sharp pain in her back, which was Desmond continuing to hit her. Lucius' voice came again, "I am true to my word, Miss Barrel. Get up, now."
Once again Des paused in his attacks, giving Dominique the chance to get up, shaking and coughing, the taste of blood in her mouth.
Dominique didn't know what to do. Fight and kill her brother, or let Desmond kill her? Dom was stubborn enough, her head telling her to stay alive to spite Lucius and get her revenge, but her heart ached at the idea of hurting her little brother. Desmond seemed to have made up his mind, however, screaming and rushing the bleeding Dominique. Bending low, Desmond attempted to tackle Dom around the middle, but Dominique instinctively braced herself, catching Des and managing to pick him up, throwing him to the ground. Dominiques mind went blank as she got on top of her innocent 15 year old little brother, her brain not registering the pain in her fist as she punched Des' face, ignoring the pain as Desmond scratched at her arm that was holding his throat, ignoring the scratches and fingers grabbing at her face. Dominique didn't even notice the increasing tears and blood that was mixing together on Desmonds face as she kept punching and punching. Eventually Desmond managed to get out a strangled, "Dom!" Snapping out of her head, Dominique stared down at what she had done. Teeth had been knocked out, his nose was broken, and she clearly shattered an orbital, Desmonds eye popping out and pointing in the wrong direction. His face was purple under all the blood, Dom never releasing her tight grip on his throat.
Desmond stopped fighting, understanding that he had no chance anymore, even if Dominique did let him kill her. So instead he just silently choked, staring up at Dominique with a tear and fear filled eye. "I-I lo...." Desmond tried to wheeze out through the trembling hand of Dominique, but never managed to complete the words. His good eye rolled to the back of his head, and his hands, which were softly petting Dom's long hair, fell to the ground. Dominique didn't realize she was bawling, holding her clearly broken hand to her chest as her other hand held tight to her little brothers throat. She didn't let go until Sam and Juan came in, pulling her crying shaking body off of her dead brother. The arena, where all the other prisoners, including her crying family, was completely silent. Dominique allowed herself to be dragged away, eyes still locked on the bloody mess of Desmond Barrel, who was 15 and wanted to be just like his big sister, but never would be because now he was dead. The last thing Dominique saw before she passed out was the doors closing on the image of her little brother who would never grow up.

He had not known exactly what to expect. He had to shield his eyes from the intense light when he walked into the arena, the shape of a man across from him was a mere shadow at first. The names were announced and he was then rushed by the man without further warning. The hit he took from the man's shoulder to his midsection sent him sprawling to the arena floor. Lying on his back, the man now on top of him, he now was able to see a face.

The man, Tom O'Keefe was what Robin thought he had heard, looked to be in about his late 40s or early 50s. His hair was graying on the sides and wrinkles were present on his forehead and by his eyes. Tom's hand was raised and poised to strike down at Robin who held up an arm to block the incoming punch. A swift flip of his hip and legs twisted the man on top of him off and now the two were wrestling on the ground.

Robin had some training in self defense, only because as a fireman it could happen at times you may need protect yourself from a frantic person you are trying to pull out of a burning building. Soon he was able to over power his counterpart on found himself on top of the man. He took hold of Tom's head and started pounding it into the ground, more or less knocking him senseless. Robin then stood up and looked around at the arena and saw the faces watching from the seats that surrounded the dirt floor. "He appears to be alive yet, Mr. Slater. You work is not done yet," a voice boomed through a speaker system.

Robin held a hand up to his face to shield his eyes from the bright lights shining down on the dirt floor. He eyes searching for where the voice was coming from, but soon a sharp pain shot through his body as Tom had risen and struck Robin in the middle of his back with a sharp blow. Robin's body tensed for a moment from the pain as he slowly turned around just in time to take another blow to his now exposed face.

Feeling the trickle of blood coming from his mouth, Robin was now irritated and knew Tom meant business. As Tom moved to strike him again, Robin blocked the punch and returned his own blow; a quick sharp kick to the older man's crotch. Immediately Tom went to his knees holding his hands to his now aching groin. Robin took this opportunity to kick Tom under his chin. A ugly cracking sound ensued, and Tom feel to his side and laid on the ground motionless.

A door at the side of the arena wall opened and Juan stepped through motioning for Robin to come with him. Juan led Robin to a dank shower room. "Shower up and put on that new set of clothes," Juan said motioning with a nod of his head to the clothes lying on the floor nearby. Robin stripped down and entered the shower. The only water to come out was ice cold. Robin was in and out as fast as he could be and picked up a paper thin towel to dry himself off with. Dressing quickly, he then went to the door that Juan was standing next to and holding open for him to walk out of.

The two walked through the corridors and then Juan opened up a cell door and motioned for Robin to go inside. This was a new cell, it seemed to be closer to the arena. While it was not much nicer than the old cell, it did offer a cot with a thin mattress. A step up Robin thought to himself. Perhaps winning had it perks. "I'll be back in an hour to get you for lunch," Juan said as he closed and locked the door behind him. Robin sat down on the cot and looked at the wall opposite of him, "Ok...I won't be going anywhere," he muttered to himself.

When Dominique woke up, she was laying in a hospital bed. Her hand was in a weird bandage, an IV dripping even weirder orange liquid into the broken hand. Turning her aching head, Dominique almost cried out with joy, seeing her father and sister, Gabbie, sitting next to her bed. Gabbie was the first to notice that Dom was awake, her tired and tear stained face lighting up. Dom's father gave her a sad smile, speaking quietly, "How are you feeling?" Dominique looked back at her hand. "Pretty bad... What is this stuff?" She motioned at the IV drip in her hand. "That doctor man mentioned something about it helping your hand heal faster, so you can fight again next week..." Dominique frowned, looking around the room. The absence of her mother suddenly became apparent to Dom, who voiced the question. Instantly she regretted asking, the looks on Gabbie and her fathers face horrible. Her father looked sad, tears welling in his eyes, while Gabbie looked terrified, and her hands started to shake. "I was... Forced to go up against her," Gabbie said in barley a whisper, "She just laid down, told me to squeeze her neck as hard as I could... That's why that bad guy told you that you can't just led Desmond attack, he scolded me after the match, saying it wasn't fair for the experiment..."
The mention of Desmond, and the news of her mothers death made Dominique start to cry for the hundredth time today. She put her good hand up to her bruised and scratched face, starting to sob. There was a knock on the door that made Dom look up, eyebrows furrowing when she saw a man in a lab coat standing in the doorway of the cell. "Good evening, all. This is Miss Barrels room, correct?" He looked up, smiling as if he was an actual doctor meeting new patients. Dom's face hardened, silently nodding. "Wonderful! My name is Randy Johnson, I'm Dr. Zander's partner, I'll be taking care of you. So I understand you've broken your hand pretty badly from your last fight. We're currently giving you an experimental drug, that will hopefully encourage your cells to heal themselves faster. If you experience any weird symptoms, please come to me straight away," The man said in a happy, almost baby-talk voice. Dominique said nothing, just glared as the 'Doctor' came fully into the room, taking a look at her injured left hand, lifting the bandages a little. Dominique could see that the area around the IV drip had a weird orange tint to it. She looked up at Randy, noticing that although his face remained still, his eyes flashed with first panic then interest as he examined her hand.
"Does it hurt?" Randy asked, his Doctor voice gone, now replaced with a husky, slightly aroused growl. Dominique was taken aback by the question, raising her eyebrow. Randy then looked into Dominique's eyes, growling again, "Answer me... On a scale of one to ten, how bad does it hurt?" Dominique frowned, pausing before reluctantly answering, "It burns pretty bad... So a 6" The smile on Randy's face was sickening. "I'll keep an eye on your hand. For now you'll be staying here, either until your hand is fixed, or until you have to fight again." With that Randy turned and left the room, feverously writing on his clip board. Dominique looked over to her two remaining family members, about to open her mouth and say something, but unfortunately Juan and Sam entered into the room. "Come on, visitation's over," Juan growled, taking out a pair of cuffs. Dominique watched as her father and Gabbie were cuffed, both of them looking worriedly at her. "Find me when you can, okay?" Dom called after them as they were escorted out.
For the next couple of days, Dominique's hand was getting worse instead of better. The orange tint had spread to the lines of her veins, and the burning was almost constant. Randy refused to give Dom any medication for the pain, saying it would hinder his results on how well the healing serum worked. Finally, after four days in the 'hospital' room, Randy decided to just let the hand heal on its own, mumbling something about needing to change a few properties in it. With a bandaged arm and a few Advil pills, Dominique was escorted to a cell that was the same as Robin's cell, although she didn't know it. Looking around the now spacier room, Dom lied back on the cot. Soon she fell into a uncomfortable sleep full of her brother dying under her, and her mother being brutally killed over and over.

The next days Robin spent going through the same routine. He was awoken each day a 6am, taken to the shower room to wash up, led to the dining hall for breakfast (he noticed the absence of Dominique and wondered if she had not survived her fight). He was then taken to a training room where each day he was injected with some serum and then set to work running, lifting weights, and doing other cardio-vascular exercises. After another shower, he was led to lunch and then spent the afternoon being taught various fighting techniques and martial arts skills. Then it was supper and left to himself for the rest of the night in his cozy cell.

As he went through the routine, all he could think about was how he might escape this place, but he saw nothing even remotely looking to be an exit from the compound and with guards and security cameras everywhere, he knew it was likely he would simply die here. He had not become close to anyone. Most of the other "inmates" he saw during training and eating times just were sullen and quiet. He noticed only one person that seemed to be somewhat enjoying the experience, a large man who was not very athletic, but his sheer size made him formidable to most of those smaller to him.

It may have been his imagination, but Robin had seemed to notice that Juan might have actually taken a liking to him, well as much as such a guard could do. He would at times joke with Robin about things around the compound, likely things he should not have been speaking to Robin about. And, at times, he would give Robin a bot more freedom than he should have. More shower time, allowed Robin to sneak food back to his cell, etc.

Robin had lost all sense of what day it was and for all he knew he was sleeping during the daylight hours and doing his training during the night time. No windows were to be found to give him any clue as to what was happening in the outside world. He was actually thankful for having the time to do training as if it were not for that time he would likely go stir crazy in his little cell.

The day for his next fight came. He once again noticed the absence of Dominique. Perhaps she was in the other waiting room on the other side of the arena. Perhaps it would be her that entered the arena to fight him. He did not know why he would allow his mind to drift to her from time to time, likely because other than Juan, she was the only other one he had actually spoken to while he was here. Of course there were the doctors and trainers that would have interchanges with him, but it was all business with them.

Stepping out into the arena that day, he found himself faced with an averaged sized man. A scar loomed over his right eye, likely a memento from a previous fight. Robin had not recalled seeing this man before and would later come to the conclusion that there were two separate training sessions happening. Perhaps the two groups were each being trained in a different fashion to see which training method worked best.

When the fight started, the man seemed to be searching for a weakness in Robin's stance, body, etc. The two men circled a time or two and then the man lurched at Robin. Missing Robin completely, he moved past in a stumble leaving himself wide open for Robin's attack. All of Robin's training form the past week flashed through his head in an instant and without much thinking of what he was doing, Robin landed a solid kick to the man's ribcage. The crack of the ribs was almost sickening to hear and the gasp that came from him told the story of the pain just inflicted.

The man grasped his side and fell to his knees. Robin did not wait to see if he would get back to his feet. He applied a withering blow with his fist to the side of the man's skull. The blow sent the man sprawling to the floor of the arena, blood now seeping from nose ears and mouth as he laid there. A soft groan escape the man and Robin leapt high into the air, landing squarely in the man's back. Another cracking and popping sound was made as the spine was broken. Had he not died at that moment, the man would have been paralyzed for certain.

Robin got back to his feet and stood over the man. The fight took less than 30 seconds to complete. The door to the exit of the arena was opened. A crew of men with a stretcher rushed in to claim the lifeless body and Robin saw Juan standing in the door way, a grin on his face as he motioned Robin to him. When Robin reached him he said, "Dr. Johnson wants to see you now." Robin looked at Juan, "Dr. Johnson? Who is that?" Juan just put a hand in Robin's back to nudge him forward, "You'll find out soon enough."

Dominique was sitting up in the stands, watching Robin absolutely demolish the man in the Pit. She stared, watching Robin be escorted out by Juan, who seemed to be much kinder to Robin than he was to her. Frowning and crossing her good arm over the other, she leaned back in her chair, and watched the rest of the fights. It was the last fight that majorly caught her attention. It was her father and a very large, fat man with a weird hair cut, who seemed to be highly enjoying his day. He was grinning and cracking his knuckles as the automated voice spoke above them "Fin Barrel versus James Ramirez." Dom gritted her teeth together, scooting to the edge of her seat. She glanced around the crowed, seeing if she couldn't spot her sister. There was the sound of someone getting punched, Dominique looking down to see her father on the ground, Ramirez above him, laughing.
Anger flared through Dom's chest, her good fist clenching tightly. Fin didn't get up for a second, holding his jaw, which was hanging at an odd angle, Dominique realizing his jaw was broken. Fist shaking, Dominique stared, watching as Fin tried to get up, putting his limp hands up. Ramirez laughed, smacking his hands away, and kneeing Fin in the gut. Fin doubled over, then was knocked down when his opponent karate chopped the back of his neck. Tears that were a mixture of anger and fear started to well in Dominique's eyes, but she refused to let them fall. Fin lay on the ground, the fat man stomping on his ribs, hard. Suddenly Dominique was standing up, screaming into the Pit, "Dad, get up!" The sound of his daughters voice made Fin look up, his eyes squinting past the bright lights. Ramirez stopped in his stomping, taking a step back to see if the older man would actually get up. Fin struggled, but managed to use the wall of the arena to pull himself to his knees. Ramirez started to laugh, suddenly launching forward, and slamming his knee into Fins face, crushing it between him and the wall. The first blow had already killed Fin, but the fat man didn't stop, kneeing and kneeing the bloody pulp of Fins face till it was as flat as a pancake.
Dominique stared at the body of her father as it slumped to the side. Her fist had stopped shaking, her tears had disappeared, and now she just stood there, staring as Ramirez was escorted out of the pit, still smiling wide. The other inmates slowly filed out of the Pit, the fighting over. Dom continued to stand there until finally Juan came over, putting a hand on her shoulder, squeezing it a little too tightly. "Get a move on, Barrel," He growled, eying the clean up crew that was scraping brains off the wall, and dragging Fin's body away in a body bag. Dominique didn't move, Juan forcibly steering her out of the Pit and to her cell. Dominique sat quietly on her cot, staring blankly at the wall. It took Dom an hour before she actually moved, standing up and moving to the mirror on the wall, which slightly distorted her reflection, seeing as it wasn't real glass. Her face was pale and her eyes were red, despite not actually crying. Her throat and arm burned, the pain starting to make her angry. After a few seconds of staring at her reflection Dominique snapped. She started to scream at the top of her lungs, kicking her cot across the cell, punching and body slamming the wall. Grabbing the kicked got she threw it with one arm, slamming it into the other wall, the cot bending a little from the force. Eventually Sam had to run into the room with a syringe full of clear liquid, which he managed to jab into Dom's neck after he over powered her. At first nothing happened, and Dom continued to scream and smack at Sam, but seconds later her vision got blurry, and she suddenly fell asleep.
When Dominique woke up, she was on her cot, her arm, neck, and good fist aching dully. She apparently had been crying in her sleep, because the corners and sides of her face were tight and covered in tear-residue. Sam was unlocking the door, eying her through the small window in the door. "Going to behave now?" He asked, eyebrow raised. Dominique didn't answer, she just stood, putting a hand to her temple. Sam didn't bother cuffing her one hand, just lead her by the arm into an activity room full of other inmates. Dom saw neither Robin nor Gabbie, so she just sat by herself, looking depressed and tired, seeing as she was both. No one bothered her, just leaving her to think about the past week, which had been the worse week she could ever imagine. 'I have to get out of here...' Dom thought, glaring down at the floor.

It seemed as he had just fallen asleep. The door to his room opened and three men dressed in white jumpers and hooded faces entered his cell. Before he knew what was happening, he was flipped to his stomach and his hands were being bound behind him. Two of the men pulled him to his feet and instructed him to move.

The corridors at this time of the day were dimly lit. A dull red lit shone, that was all. He was not really sure how far he went. It all seem to be as traveling in a fog for him. Perhaps it was only a dream, but the tinge of pain in his arms and wrists from the binding and the tight squeeze of the hands holding his arms told him he was very much awake.

One finally turn into a new corridor and he was held in front of a large metal door. One of the guards in white punch in a code on a number pad and the door slid open to the right allowing passage into a dimly lit room. There were multiple tables, computers and other devices throughout the room. Lights on stand stood over tables where men and women in white robes seemed to be working on things. As they made there way to a table in the back of the room, Robin saw that two of the tables near to the one he was being directed to had men strapped to them and people in white robes around them.

"What the hell is this? What am I doing here?" Robin questioned. One of the guards gave him a sharp jab in his back with the heel of his hand. "You'll find out soon enough," said a gruff muffled voice from behind a hood. They pulled Robin to a stop at the table and undid the bindings on his hands. "Get on the table! Lay down!" came the same muffled voice from behind him. Robin turned around, "What? What is th...oofff!" The wind is knocked out of him as a sharp punch is applied to his midsection. Not wanting to cause more trouble, Robin sat down and then was firmly pushed to his back and strapped down to the table. The three men walked away.

Robin laid there for who knows how long. He had just started to doze off when a bright light was switched on, seering through his eyelids and waking him. At first he looked up and saw nothing as he was blinded by the bright light. Over a minute though his eyes adjusted and he saw the form of a woman in a white lab jacket next to him. Her back was turned and she appeared to be looking at something she was holding.

Turning around she saw Robin now awake and looking at her. "Well, well. Looks who woke up. Just in time too." She now pulled a large syringe from behind her back and flicked at it with her finger to remove any air bubbles inside. She looked a Robin with a grin. "I'm not going to lie to you. This is going to hurt like hell. It is likely you will pass out."

Robin was about to ask what it was she was shooting into him but it was already too late. The large needle was slowly being inserted into his abdomen. Robin shrieked in pain as the needle slowly made it's way deeper into his stomach. The woman just grinned and said, "Shh...no need to make such a scene." Robin tried to move, but the straps held him tight and in place. A dull burn could be felt where the fluid was being pumped into him and soon the room began to spin.

It was only a few seconds later that everything went black for him. The needle was slowly removed and the woman tossed it into a trash can by the nearby table. She then went over to a chart and noted the date and time of the injection. A man in a white lab coat then came over, "Dr. Luxuria, how did it go? Was that the new strength serum?" The blonde woman nodded, "Indeed it was. If it does what it is suppose to do, after a few more injections, he should have the strength and agility of a silverback gorilla." The two stood and smiled.

For the rest of the day Dominique didn't see Robin anywhere, or her sister. She sat in her seat watching some of the other people interact with one another. Almost everyone seemed to not want anything to do with the other inmates, but there were also a group of particularly cruel looking inmates in a group. There were about five men in the group, Dominique recognizing the Ramirez man standing with them. Anger flared in Dom's chest, her good hand clenching the arm rest of the chair she was sitting in. Revenge was the only thing she cared about suddenly, looking around to see if there were any weapons. Ramirez had broken her fathers jaw in one swing, there was no way she could face him with one arm. While looking around, Dominique caught the eye of Sam and one other glasses wearing guard, whom she didn't recognize. Sam raised an eyebrow at her, noticing the anger in her eyes. Dominique quickly turned back around, chewing on her lip as she realized attacking Ramirez might be harder then she originally thought.
Right as Dominique noticed a pencil on the coffee table in front of her, she also noticed that Ramirez had also spotted her. His ugly grin widened into a even uglier smile, tapping a few friends on the shoulders before starting to walk over to Dominique. Dom glared, glancing at Sam who was still looking suspiciously at her. Instead of getting up and going for the pencil, Dominique stayed in her chair, and looked up at the three men who were now standing in front of her. "Well, well, well. Isn't it the little girl who's fathers head I bashed in," Ramirez drawled, his friends chuckling behind him. Dominique just glared up at the man, her jaw clenching tight. "That was some noble thing you did, trying to support your father." Ramirez reached a hand out to touch Dom's face, but she slapped it away. The anger from Dominique's face was mirrored on Ramirez's now. "Bitch!" He growled, jumping forward and suddenly grabbing Dominique's face.
For a split second Dom started to freak out, but quickly got control over the situation, wriggling her body out from under the larger man, and kicking him in the face. The first kick surprised him enough that he let go long enough for Dominique to shove herself off of the seat, falling to the floor on her back. Reaching up with her good hand, she groped for the pencil, finding it just in time, Ramirez diving for her. Dominique thrusted the pencil into Ramirez's knee cap, wedging a good inch under the actual cap and bone. Ramirez howled in pain, falling to the floor, his buddies too stunned to actually do anything. Dominique angled the pencil upwards, hearing the snapping sound of his knee cap dislocating. Ramirez was now screaming in agony, thrashing around so much that the pencil snapped at the tip, leaving a good chunk of the pencil lodged under his knee cap. Dom could hear Sam and the second guard rushing towards them, so right as Sam went to make a grab for her, she sprung up to Ramirez's face, and dove her broken and bloody pencil right in to the man's jugular.
Ripping the pencil away, blood started to pour everywhere, Ramirez continuing to writhe as he tried to stop the bleeding. Dominique grinned as she felt Sam and the second Guard grab her from under her arms, lifting her off of Ramirez and out of the blood puddle. Dom started to laugh as she was being dragged away, yelling at the dying man on the ground, "Yeah, I am that mans daughter! The one thing you forgot, however, is that I have my mothers fury in me!" Dom got the last few words out as the doors to the stunned and silent common room closed. Now in the hallway Dominique paid more attention to the two men dragging her away. Sam looked emotionless, his face set in a hard look. The second guard, however, looked slightly frightened, although he tried not to show it. Dom grinned wider, even though she was certain that they were either going to lock her up for multiple days, or punish her in worse ways. So, deciding to make her last moments fun, Dom went completely limp. The sudden dead weight surprised both Sam and the other Guard, making them drop her. Dominique started to cackle, scooting herself away, still laying on her back. "Henry, grab her damn arm will you?!" Sam yelled, trying to grab her feet to keep her still. Henry, the scared guard, seemed to be afraid of Dominique, even though he had much more muscle on him then she did. Dom didn't make it easy for the two guards to pick her up by her feet and arms, rolling around and kicking her feet violently whenever Sam or Henry managed to grab onto her foot. Eventually, however, the fun had to stop. Sam, now angry, kicked Dom in the stomach, which caused her to pause long enough for Henry to grab her under her armpits. Sam quickly grabbed her feet, and started to lead Dominique away to wherever she was going.
Dominique stared up at the terrified Henry, who was noticeably sweating, refusing to look down at her. "So, where are you guys taking me?" Dominique asked, looking at the back of Sam's head. Neither guard answered, making Dom frown. A few seconds went by, and Dominique suddenly had a funny question pop into her head. "So is it just fate that all of you have super boring names, or are the just pen names, so that no one knows your real name?" Dominique smiled when she got the reaction she wanted. Henry's face tensed, looking impossibly more worried and scared. Sam, however, was the one who cracked and angrily answered her question, "They're pen names. Now will you shut up and stop trying to kick me?" Dominique giggled, for she had in fact been trying to hit Sam in the leg with her foot. "I have to make my last moments fun before you guys torcher me or whatever," Dominique defended. Henry suddenly looked confused, finally looking down to meet Dom's gaze for the first time. "We're not going to kill you, We're-"
"Henry, you Australian fuck, shut up!" Sam finally looked back at Henry, glaring. Sam was in fact right, Henry surprisingly had an Australian accent, which made him sound slightly more intimidating, even though he was still sweating from fear. Dominique raised an eyebrow, looking over to the back of Sam's head, now kicking him in the butt. "Don't be rude, Henry was talking." Dominique giggled a bit as she saw Sam visibly tense in anger. "We're here," Sam growled, reaching the doors that Dom recognized as Lucius' office. Sam dropped Dominique's legs roughly, while Henry carefully helped Dom stand up, although he took multiple steps back afterwards. Dominique looked to an irritated Sam, eyebrow raised. "Just go in," He begged in a still angry voice. Dominique huffed, but did as she was told for once, and pushed open the door. She half expected to see Robin sitting in a chair in front of the large desk, but instead only saw Lucius standing at one of the many windows in his office, looking stoic. "Ah, Miss Barrel," Lucius smiled when he spotted Dom, pausing to look her up and down, "My, my. So you did in fact attack another inmate, I see." Dominique looked down, only just realizing her prison outfit was covered in blood, as well as her good arm. "How is your broken hand?" Lucius walked over, sitting down at his desk, motioning for Dom to sit down as well.
Frowning, Dominique sat, looking down at her mentioned hand. "It's horrible. I think you should get new doctors," Dominique replied. Lucius' usual smile grew, chuckling a bit. "I see you divert to sarcasm when you're stressed." Dominique didn't answer, just stared. Lucius took this as a sign to continue on, "This week you're scheduled to fight once again, however seeing as your will and perseverance is what we're looking for, both you and Mr. Slater will be pushed ahead in the experiment. Robin's already been through one round of conditioning, that's where he's been this past day." Lucius paused to take in Dominique's angry glare, entertainment flashing in his eyes. "As for your arm, however, I do admit that the experimental serum was a fail." He shrugged as if it was some little problem. "After your next fight, scheduled two days from today, we'll go ahead and amputate the infected arm, and replace it with a better solution." Dom's eyes bulged, and her jaw dropped, anger now mixing with fear. "Why don't you just fix the arm I have now?!" Dominique tried to hide her panic, but her voice cracked halfway through her sentence. "The muscles are dead, Dominique, and the flesh is starting to erode away. If we were to take off those bandages I'm certain it would take the tissue off with it. The arm is a lost cause, why waist our effort with it when we know the out come? My doctors are working up a much better solution for you. In fact, we've already started to make and improve the newest model of artificial limb. There's nothing to worry about, Miss Barrel." Lucius smiled as Dominique stared at him, shaking. "I hope you do well in your next fight, Dominique." Lucius pressed a button on his desk, Henry instantly coming through the door. He took Dominique gently by the arm, leading the stunned woman out of the room and silently to her cell.

He woke up with his head pounding as if he had a hang over. His eyes tried to adjust to the dim light in his room, recognizing it was his cell. A cord was attached to his arm, some sensor that seemed to be monitoring his vitals. He followed the cord to a monitor that indeed was monitoring his heart rate, blood pressure and other things. He sat up and swung his feet over his bed, now noticing that he wearing only underwear.

A click of the lock on the door alerted him that someone was coming in. His head turned to see who it might be. As the door swung open, he saw Juan pulling a key from the lock. Juan stepped aside and the figure of Dr. Luxuria walking in. She wore a white lab coat, but it was wide open in the front, revealing a short, tight fitting blue dress underneath. The collar of the dress was cut low, revealing her cleavage and the fact that she was not wearing a bra. To Robin, she seemed to be more of some sort of corner prostitute than a doctor of any sort.

She crossed the short distance from the door to the bed where Robin sat and stood before him looking at the monitor. She took a pen and jotted a few things down an a chart she was holding, then her eyes peered over the chart and on to Robin. A sly grin crossed her face as she looked him over, a hand reaching for him and running over his shoulder, down his arm a short way and then moved to his chest. It sat there for a long moment before moving to his shoulder again, a finger dragging over the scar that showed the past surgery he had.

"Tell me about this," she said. "What caused you to need surgery and are you fully healed?" Robin looked at the finger still touching him and then back up to the face of the blonde looking down at him. He shrugged a bit, "Rotator cuff surgery. I tore it while playing baseball. I was a pitcher. Just too much use o it I was told. It happened several years ago now and doesn't bother me anymore."

The doctor smiled and moved her hand from the shoulder to his chin, cupping it and holding his head up to look into her eyes. Her hand moved as her fingers rubbed the stubble on his face, her grin widening as she did so. Biting her lip a bit, she giggles some, "Well, that is good news. Along with the serum I injected into you, it will only strengthen more and more with each injection. Speaking of which, how are you feeling? Sick at all? Dizzy perhaps?" She looked down to Robin's crotch now and saw his excitement starting to show. She giggled more, "Perhaps a bit...excited? Hmm, now that would be quite a side effect...wouldn't you think?"

Robin, seeing where she was looking squirmed a bit and tried to move himself to conceal better his current condition. Dr. Luxuria giggled more. "Oh, don't be shy, Robin, may I call you Robin? My name is Monica. I'm a doctor and I assure you I intend to treat you and any of my patients in only a professional manner. I would never think of taking advantage of you." Her grin and wandering eyes that seemed focused on watching Robin's crotch didn't make him feel any better about the situation.

She took a step back and looked back at the charts in her hand and the monitor. Jotting down a few more things she called in Juan. Juan was carrying some fresh clothes with him. Tossing the clothes to Robin, he said, "Get dressed." Dr, Luxuria took a few more steps back and stood there looking Robin over as if he were some runway model. Robin just stood watching the two when the doctor raised an eyebrow and pointed her pen to the clothing. "Please hurry, Mr. Slater. Director Lucius is waiting for us. We rather not keep him waiting." Robin let out a heavy breath and took of his underpants, peering up to see Dr. Luxuria looking at him, a huge grin on her face. He quickly pulled on the clean pair and then finished dressing.

"Very good, Mr. Slater. Shall we go?" The doctor asked. Juan pointed to the door and Robin made his way into the corridor. Dr. Luxuria led the way with Juan following Robin. Soon they stood before the door of the director's office. As it opened, Dr. Luxuria stepped aside to allow Robin to pass inside. After he made his way in, she followed behind. "Ahh, Doctor...Robin.
Please have a seat,"
Lucius said as he pointed to the chairs before his desk.

When Dominique woke up from her power nap, her arm hurt worse than ever. The burning sensation was spreading up her to her shoulder, and from the smell that was emitting from it, Dominique knew that if she looked under the bandages all she would see is a rotting bloody mess. Anger enveloped her as she rolled onto her back, staring up at the ceiling, angry tears blurring the tiles. First her family, now her arm? How many more things did she have to loose before these people were satisfied? Dominique started to wonder if Lucius was ever going to let anyone go, the hopeless thoughts flooding her mind. There was no guarantee that after all this experimenting Dominique would survive. Even if she did manage to make it to the top, would she be released to the outside world? What would people think about her if she did manage to get out of this hell? She'd be a freak, and would probably be snatched up by the government the instant she stepped foot on free land.
Dominique didn't realize she was crying for a while, the tears dripping onto her neck startling her. Outside Dom's cell, she could hear foot steps, and soon after her door was opened. Dominique looked up to glare at her 'guest', but stopped when she saw that it was Henry, the new guard. Henry closed the door, and genuinely looked surprised to see the tears still rolling down Dominique's cheeks. "Are you okay?" He asked, stupidly. The subsiding anger flared to annoyance as Dominique stared at Henry, eyebrow raised. "Oh, I'm perfectly fine, it's not like I'm going to have to fight another person in two days, or get my arm amputated. Yeah, that stuff is perfectly fine with me!" Henry frowned, crossing his arms, "I was just trying to help... I'm here to tell you that as punishment for killing that man, you're not allowed in the common room till after your spar." Henry stood there, watching Dominique, who was staring back up at him. "Was that all?" Dominique asked after a few seconds of silence.
"You're also not allowed to eat the day of your fight. If you make it out, you're probably going to go straight into surgery, so they don't want anything to mess with the drugs." Dominique glanced down at her arm, which was still in the sling. "Why are they bothering to let me fight if they're wanting to do surgery right after? Isn't that a waist of time?" Henry shrugged. "I guess it's so that they know you're strong enough to continue. That and Slater has already fought twice, so it's only fair that you fight a second time." Dom clenched her teeth, about to make a bitter retort. Instead, she asked, "Why are you working here? You're young, and nice. You shouldn't be talking about sending a twenty year old girl to her death, or amputating her arm like it's normal." Henry scoffed, shaking his head, "I'm not here because I want the job, I'm here because I was once in your exact shoes. A year ago I was taken, Lucius had me fight against three other inmates, seeing as we were much smaller then. I was experimented on, and instead of continuing to try and perfect my abilities, Lucius allowed me to become a guard. The tests never stop, honestly, Lucius is a perfectionist."
Dom's heart dropped at this news. If the tests never stop, then she'll never have a chance to get out. Seeing a fresh wave of anger and grief coming, Henry decided it was time for him to leave. Pushing off of the wall he was leaning on, he started to sort through a ring of keys he had. As Henry opened the door, however, Dom quickly asked, "Where's Robin, anyways? Did he make it?" Henry nodded, smiling. "Lucius is just explaining the new schedules you guys will have. Instead of one fight a week, you'll be bumped up to two, and the rest of the days you'll have a couple hours of experiments and tests you'll be doing. Although Saturday and Sunday you'll have days off to rest and heal up." Dominique frowned, looking down at the ground. Henry hesitated for a second, quickly saying, "I'll bring your breakfast to you tomorrow, and you'll have your fight the day after that... I hope you make it out, I really like you." And with that he left.

The meeting with Lucius was short and to the point. Robin would have the week off from fighting to allow the experiments of Dr. Luxuria to progress and then next week he would be back to fighting twice a week. In between he would train, take more of the mystery serum and heal up...assuming he wasn't dead before then. When he had asked about Dominique, Lucius just chuckled. "And why are you so concerned over that little spit fire? She's fine. Has another fight coming up and if she survives we will fix her arm for her. I doubt she survives though. That arm of hers may fall off before she even reaches the arena again. Sweet little thing though." He sighed as a sinister grin crossed his face.

Robin was excused. He followed Dr. Luxuria back to the lab and in turn was followed by Juan. The doctor took him back to her work space and instructed Robin to strip down to his underwear and lie down on the table. He did this, somewhat reluctantly, but figured he had no other choice at this point. After he laid down on the table, Juan strapped him down. "Is this necessary?" Robin asked. "I'm afraid so. Sometimes the serum causes people to react in a violent manner . I would hate to see you hurt yourself...or me if that were to happen," Luxuria stated as she prepared the syringe.

He lost consciousness again after the injection and woke up back in his cell. He looked himself over and could see that muscle mass was starting to become more defined. It may had been his imagination, but he even seemed to feel stronger. He sat up and noticed that a tray of food was sitting on the small table in the cell. Going over to it he saw it was steak with all the fixings. Being quite hungry, he sat down and ate. As he sat there, he heard people making their way down the hallway. The one voice...he could have sworn it was that of Dom. He stood and pressed his ear to the cell door, but the voices soon faded and he could no longer hear them.

Robin turned from the door and dressed in the fresh set of clothes sitting there on the floor for him. It was not long after that the door to his cell was opened up and Juan entered the small space telling Robin it was time for training. Robin just nodded. Anything to get out of the cramped sterile space would be welcomed at this point. As they walked to the gym/weight room Robin asked, "What do you know about Dominique? I haven't seen her for some while." Juan just shrugged, "She is still alive. Got herself into some trouble so she is being punished for it. Why? You have your eye on her?" Juan asked with a grin on his face.

Robin blushed a bit at the question and shook his head, "Nah, nothing like that. It's just that she was someone I met coming into this place. Just wanted to know she was still ok." By this time the two reached the gym. Juan pushed the door open and Robin walked in. A schedule of what he needed to do was posted on a bulletin board by Dr. Luxuria. He looked it over and then turned to Juan, "I guess I better get started. Juan nodded and took a seat as he let Robin do his thing.

For the next day and a half Dominique pretty much slept, or paced her room. Every once and a while Henry would come in to talk with her, Dom eventually starting to enjoy Henry's presence. The night before Dominique had to fight, Henry came over and sat down on a chair that was in front of the small desk she had. "You nervous?" He asked with a pitying look. Dom frowned, nodding a bit. "I'm worried I won't make it out... Do you know if Robin will be there?" Henry leaned back in the chair, crossing his arms. "I'll make sure he's there. Did you two know one another outside of here?" Dominique shook her head, "No, but he was the first person I really met here. We were brought in together, learned what this place was together... He's the only thing I have, really. I don't know what happened to my sister, my parents and brother are dead... I'm just trying to hold onto something that'll keep me sane." Henry frowned, and didn't say anything for a while. Eventually he stood up, going to the door. "I'll make sure Robin will be there at the fight... Get some rest, you'll need it."
That night Dominique found it impossible to sleep. Her stress levels had boosted, making her roll around on her cot uncomfortably. Eventually she managed to get an hour or two of sleep before Sam came in, accompanied by Henry, and four other inmates. Dominique was walked to the familiar locker room, where she sat waiting for Sam to give them their order number. Dominique would be the third one to fight, two terrified looking men going before her. Dom sat there silently for thirty minutes, learning that only one man survived his battle. When it was her turn, Henry stopped her, taking off the sling that her arm was in. "Make it out alive, okay? Robin will be cheering for you," Henry tried to smile, but the familiar scared look crept back onto his face.
Taking a deep breath, Dominique walked out into the dirt Pit, the lights blinding her for a moment. "Dominique Barrel versus Eliza Lestrange." The robotic voice boomed. Dom looked across the ring to see a woman a few years older than her. She was shorter but stockier, with a mean glare on her already bruised face. Dominique kept her injured arm close to her as she took a couple steps forward. There were a few cheers in the crowed for Eliza, but when Dom glanced up past the lights into the stands, she saw Robin standing there, looking very anxious. The familiar face seemed to relax her nerves, looking back at her opponent. The two girls circled each other, holding eye contact for a few seconds before Eliza launched at Dom. Dom dodged out of the way, but didn't throw a punch, just backed up as fast as she could. The girls did this for a minute or two before Eliza started to visibly get annoyed, "Do something, bitch!" She yelled, charging once again.
Dominique didn't dodge this time, instead bent low and grabbed Eliza around the middle. The shorter woman tensed as Dominique lifted her up, attempting to get out of the hold by painfully gabbing Dom in the spine with her elbow. Dominique, using her one good hand, threw Eliza down to the ground, hard. Dom moved to get on top of the other fighter, but before she realized what was happening Eliza had kicked Dom's legs out from under her. Instinctively Dominique put her left arm out, so when she landed on it she felt her already weak bones snap like a twig. The pain was excruciating, turning Dom's vision black for a few seconds. When she was able to see again, Eliza was on top of her, and punching her. With the mixture of the pain from her arm and the blows to her head, Dominique had a very hard time focusing on getting out from under Eliza. After multiple punches Eliza paused to see if Dominique was still conscious, Dom taking advantage of the break to shoot her good hand up, and grab Eliza by the jaw.
Digging her nails into Elizas skin, Dominique wrenched her to the side, both of them rolling so that Dominique was now on top. Digging her fingers into the screeching woman more, Dominique didn't start punching her, but instead used her jaw as a handle as she started to slam Elizas head against the ground. Dominique got three good hits in before Eliza managed to grab Dom's injured arm, twisting her wrist painfully. Dominique yelled in pain, pushing away from Eliza, who let go and rolled out of reach. Both girls sat on the ground, panting as they glared at one another, both of their faces bleeding. The pain in Dom's arm was starting to grow, the burning sensation spreading to her chest as a mixture of blood and puss started to bleed through the bandages visibly. There was also a lump where her bone was probably sticking out. It was a major disadvantage that Dominique had no idea how to over come.
Eliza launched forward again, Dominique flipping onto her back, and sticking her legs out last minute. Catching Eliza in the abdomen Dominique used her momentum to flip her over her head, Eliza smacking against the ground. Dom got up quickly before Eliza could recover, running and kicking Eliza in the head as hard as possible. Eliza's head snapped to the side, a sickening cracking sound coming from her jaw. Dominique didn't pause in her kicking, only stopping to side step Eliza's flailing arms. To prevent Eliza from grabbing onto her leg, Dominique stomped down on Eliza's ribs, before then stomping back down on her head. There was another cracking sound, and Eliza went momentarily still. Dominique stomped down on her face again, this time feeling her foot physically sink into the broken skull. With one last stomp Eliza was officially motionless, her jaw sticking out at a horrible angle, and her face unrecognizable.
Dominique stood there, panting heavily, the adrenaline fuling both triumph and anger as she looked around at the silent stands. "How's that for an unlikely chance?!" Dominique screamed up at wherever Lucius was. She looked over to where Robin was sitting, tiredly grinning to him as he nodded to her. The double doors opened, Henry looking ecstatic at Dom's victory. Sam, who was walking over, actually managed a smile, nodding to Dominique as she walked over to Henry and out of the Pit. Dominiques triumphant mood, however, quickly ended when she remembered what was about to happen next. She looked down at her mangled arm, blood dripping from the soaked bandages. When she looked up there was a woman with short blond hair and a hospital bed waiting for her. The woman smiled, although it was a cruel and brutal smile. "Congratulations Miss Barrel... My name is Dr. Luxuria, I'll be taking care of your arm and other injuries. Welcome to the big leagues."

Robin grinned with satisfaction as he watched Dom finish off Eliza. Honestly, when he saw her enter the pit with her arm hanging loosely by her side and the bandages showing signs of what was underneath, he didn't think she stood a chance. As Dominique stepped away from the lifeless body on the dirt floor, his grin turned to a smile.

He watched as she walked to the set of double doors and then recognized Dr. Luxuria patting a gurney for Dom to hop on to. The big man, Sam, help Dom get up on the rolling bed and soon she was being taken away and the doors closed. Robin sat down and watched the final match of the day. It was quite brutal and bloody. The man from the locker room Dominique had come out of, Roy Jenkins was the name, ended up winning the match after slamming the head of his opponent several times to the hard dirt floor. A pool of blood soon formed around the body, but Roy looked as if he may not make it through the night. If Robin was seeing things correctly, it appeared to be that one of the man's eyes was almost out of it socket and he was bleeding profusely from the forehead.

Robin was then herded out of the arena with the others that were there. The crowd never seemed to shrink in size, but the faces were often new as Robin suspected new people were being brought in to replace the losers. All Robin could wonder was how this place was getting away with the kidnappings and murders they were conducting without anyone in the outside world catching on to what was happening.

That night sleep eluded Robin. His mind was on Dominique and her arm. He wondered what would become of her. Would she even survive? Would he see her again? The next morning came early as Juan came to his room and ordered him to get up. Robin was about to throw on his clothes, but Juan said not to bother as he was being taken right to the lab for another treatment. By now Robin was looking quite buff after all the injections and training in the gym. He had noticed that the amount of weight he could lift had just about tripled in the past two weeks.

Robin was escorted to the usual back corner. There he saw Dr. Luxuria waiting for him with Lucius. Lucius grinned when he saw Robin walk in in just his boxers. He looked the man over and then turned to Dr. Luxuria, "He is looking quite well. How many more treatments?" Dr. Luxuria pointed to the table for Robin to lie down on, which he did and was strapped there by Juan. "This should be the last treatment," she said to Lucius as she injected Robin, "And then I will give him a test to see if..." Robin did not hear the rest as he passed out.

When he came back to, he was lying on the cot in his cell covered by a blanket. As his eyes focused, he could smell the scent of food. Sitting up, he saw a plate of food sitting on the small desk in his room, a note sitting next to it. Walking over and sitting down by the table, Robin picked up the note. Once his eyes focused and his mind cleared of the sleep, he looked at what was written on it. Dominique is doing fine. No need to worry over her. ~H Robin grinned a bit at this news, hoping it was true and wondering whom "H" might be. He finished eating his food, got dressed, and awaited to see what the rest of the day would bring.

When Dominique woke up, she couldn't move. Her eyelids were so heavy that she couldn't lift them, and her body felt numb, and like it was separated from her head. After god knows how long of laying there, fading in and out of sleep, Dom started to feel something. First it was just a weird tingling in both her left shoulder, and chest. As time went on, and Dominique started to regain her strength, the tingling grew into a dull pain, her shoulder starting to hurt worse then the aching in her chest. Dom started to become aware that she couldn't feel her left hand, or arm in general. Realizing the reason she was currently lying in a bed, with a distant beeping in the background, was because she just had surgery. Dominique's eyes slowly opened, showing her a dark room much like the cell she woke up in on her first day. The pain in her chest had become more localized, and when she looked down, trying her best not to look at the left side of her body, Dom saw that she was in simply a sports bra and sweat pants. There were two area's that Dom could see were the source of her pain. One of them were dull red marks, placed on her chest much like a defibrillator, the second area was a small hole right where her heart would be.
Confused, Dominique went to reach up with her left arm and push the blankets off of her, but she froze when her arm lifted, feeling the weight of it. Shaking, Dominique tried to wiggle her fingers. At first she felt nothing, but eventually she could start to feel the movement of her joints. Dominique knew that if she looked down, she would probably see that her 'fingers' weren't actually hers. Shaking slightly, Dominique took the blankets, and pulled them all the way up her left shoulder, hiding the thing she knew was there. Wrapping her arm in the blanket, Dominique sat up, finally getting a good look around. There was a machine attached to her right ring finger, which lead to the beeping heart monitor, which had picked up ever sense she woke up.
Dominique slid out of the hospital bed, taking the blanket with her. There was a mirror on the wall, showing a very sleepy looking and beat up Dom, with messy hair, and a blanket covering her arm. Glancing at her tattoos on her right shoulder and wrist, Dominique couldn't help thinking, 'Well at least it was my left arm...' Pulling down the blanket very slowly, Dominique saw that the source of the burning pain in her left shoulder were multiple stitched up incisions, the longest one extending past almost half her collar bone. Dominique frowned, turning and sitting back in bed. The room was cold, but Dominique refused to remove the blanket from her numb arm, so instead cuddled into the extra bit that wasn't covering anything. For about an hour Dominique lay there, curled up, until finally the lights flickered on, and the sound of people walking up to her hospital cell echoed through the hallway. Dominique sat up to see Dr. Luxuria, Sam, and Lucius walking into her cell. The good Doctor was smiling wide seeing that Dominique was up, her smile widening when she saw the blanket covering her arm. "Have you gotten a good look? The surgery took hours, my feet are still sore!" Luxuria giggled a bit. Dominique frowned, glancing to Sam and Lucius, Lucius wearing his normal grin, although there was clear excitement in his eyes. "What are the marks on my chest?" Dominique asked, turning back to the Doctor.
Luxuria's smile dropped a little at the question. "We almost lost you for good, sweetie. We managed to resuscitate you, and once we got your vitals under control, and completed the surgery I went ahead and put some of the same strengthening serum we've been putting in Robin into you. Count this as your first treatment. We'll need to be a bit more rigorous with you, seeing as you need to match not only Robin's strength, but also the strength in that arm that you refuse to look at." Dominique opened her mouth to say something, but Lucius spoke first. "Now, now, Doctor, don't go spoiling the surprise!" Dom raised a cut eyebrow, looking to Lucius, who was smiling just as wide as Luxuria. "We've decided that we're going to partner our experiments together, not only to boost moral, but also to see how two experiments bond and help each other in fights. Your schedule will stay the same, although you, Miss Barrel, will be getting double the dosage on your treatments for a week, but for one of your two fights of the week you'll be fighting together with Robin, against another pair. You and Robin will do everything together, so I hope you enjoy the strong silent type." Lucius winked, looking absolutely delighted.
Dominique didn't realize that Luxuria was messing around with the visible incisions in her arm until she felt a increase of pain. Jolting away from Luxuria, Dominique froze. The blanket had slipped down a bit, and she could see steel grey metal peaking out. "I'm sure you're still adjusting, darling, but it's better if you just rip it off like a band aid," The Doctor said. Before Dominique could say or do anything, Luxuria was ripping off the blanket. The arm looked like something out of a movie. Dom stared at the bionic arm for a while, only looking up when Luxuria spoke. "Can you move your fingers?" Now that Dominique could see what she had been moving earlier, it seemed much harder to do anything. Eventually, however, the hand started to twist and clench to her will. Just like before, the limb had very little feeling to it, but the more she moved it the more it felt like a real arm. "Once you get use to it, your brain will start to trick your body into feeling the arm. For now, you probably just feel a dull sensation. I know that you went to school to get a mechanical engineering degree, so feel free to modify the arm. Just don't cut the red wires, those are attached to your nerves." Luxuria smiled, and turned to Lucius. "Give her one more treatment, just to get things rolling. If she passes out just relocate her to her new shared room. I'm going to go inform Mr. Slater. He's in the gym, correct?"
Luxuria had turned and started to mess with some items on a tray. She nodded to Lucius' question, instructing Sam to strap Dom down. "You know, at first I thought I should replicate this experiment, do exactly what I did to Robin to you, but then I realized that that ruins so much potential! So I'm going to play around for a bit. Instead of just putting the needle here," She pressed the needle against Dom's lower rib, "I'm putting it here." Suddenly the needle was plunging directly into Dominique's heart, right next to the previous injection sight. The burning pain seemed to pump through her body, only stopping at her bionic arm. Dominique couldn't help but scream, jerking against the bindings that held her arms and legs down. Her vision started to fade, but right as everything started to lose focus, Dominique snapped the binding holding her left arm, grabbing Luxuria's wrist. The Doctor suddenly screamed in pain as Dom easily snapped her wrist like a twig. Luxuria stumbled back, Sam hurrying forward go hold down Dom's arm. At first there was clear rage in Luxriua's eyes, but realization flickered into her eyes, seemingly calming her down. Straightening up, and looking at her oddly bent wrist, she started to grin. "Fascinating... The strength... Sam, take her to her new room, I need to fix this up." The needle was slowly pulled out of a panting Dominique, who was hardly awake, only slightly aware of the fact that her bed was moving. Eyes closed, Dominique only opened them when Sam picked her up. She was moved to a different bed, which looked to be a bunk bed by the blurry shape of it. The last thing Dominique registered was Sam pulling the blankets over her before she finally passed out, her chest and arm still burning.

Robin was just finishing up with his last set of bench presses when Juan walked into the gym. Juan grinned as Robin sat up on the bench. "What are you up to now?" Juan asked. Robin was catching his breath as he looked up to the guard. "750lbs. Not bad seeing how before I got here I was at 225lbs." Juan nodded with a grin. "I heard the doctor talking about you. She says as the serum she has been injecting you with takes full effect, you should be able to pick up small cars and lift them over your head by the end of next month." Robin just sat there staring at the floor. "I hope that is not suppose to make me feel better. I am nothing more than a kidnapped lab rat." Juan's grin faded and he motioned for Robin to follow him.

The two walked through the corridors until they reached the lab. As usual, Robin was taken back to the far corner of the lab where Dr. Luxuria did her work. She was not there though. A small Asian looking man was standing by her desk and directed Robin to have a seat on the gurney, which he did. "Where's the doctor?" Robin asked. The man in the lab coat looked over his glasses as he looked up at Robin. "She had a bit of a mishap. She is getting attended to. She wished for me to proceed with this next step and report back to her. I would guess that she will be back with you the next time that you are brought here." Robin nodded, looking back to Juan who suddenly got an odd expression on his face.

Robin frowned a bit and then looked to where Juan's eyes were looking. When he looked, he saw the little Asian man with a large stainless steel knife. He was walking towards Robin with it and said, "Please hold your arm out so I may cut it." Robin's eyes grew large as he pulled back. "The hell you will!" Robin said as he started to pull back. The Asian man looked over to Juan and made a motion with his head towards Robin. "Mr. Slater, I am not trying to kill you, merely wound you to see how you heal." Juan was now standing next to Robin, but he seemed a bit uneasy, knowing that there was no way he would be able to restrain the man if Robin decided to resist against him.

Robin, seeing the uneasiness in the guard's eyes, turned back to the doctor and nodded. "Very well, make it quick." Robin held out his arm and in a moment, there was a large slice in his left forearm. The blood started to flow freely from it and Robin felt a bit alarmed as the doctor just stood and watched, the knife still in his hand. But then, something unexpected happened. As Robin watched, the flow of blood ceased, and then before his eyes, the wound healed, all in the matter of about ten seconds.

Robin looked in disbelief. His eyes met those of Juan, who was equally astonished. Then Robin was looking toward the doctor who was writing feverishly on a notepad. When he finished, he looked back at Robin, picking up the knife again. "Well, that went better than expected. Was there much if any pain involved with it?" But before Robin could answer, the doctor made a sudden move and the knife was plunged deep into Robin's chest. Robin looked down and so a small circle of blood starting to form where his chest had the knife in it, right where his heart should be.

Robin's mouth hung open as the knife was pulled out. Robin's hand instinctively went to his chest, but the wound was already starting to close up. And the pain that had been there was dissipating. Robin looked at the doctor who was still standing with the knife in his hand, a smile on his face. "Well, Dr. Luxuria will be very happy with these results." He wrote down some more on the note pad and then instructed Juan to take Robin to his new quarters. Juan nodded and the two walked off. Robin was following Juan, still not certain he was not dreaming all that had just happened, but the tear in his shirt and the blood stain around it told him it was not a dream.

He had not been paying attention when he was stopped in front of a door to a room he had not seen before. Juan pressed a few buttons on a number pad next to the door and the door slid open. The lighting inside was dim, but Robin could tell it was a cell. It seemed a bit larger though with two chairs instead of one by the table, another door, that stood slightly ajar to what Robin could tell was a small shower room/bathroom. He then turned to see a bunk bed and, to his surprise, someone was lying in the bottom bunk. As Robin looked closer, her saw the red hair of Dominique there.

As Robin turned to ask Juan what was happening, He saw the door to the outside world close. Turning back, he looked back at the form on the lower bunk. A slight smile crossed his face. He was finally able to be with another person in these lonely cells, and it was the only other person her really gave a damn about in this place.

When Dominique woke up, it took her another long moment to realize why her left arm felt weird. She opened her eyes and saw the harsh grey of the metal. She flexed the robotic hand a few times, inspecting the joints and how they worked together to seamlessly complete each movement. Dom didn't even realize someone was in the room with her until she heard the sound of a shower being turned off. Rolling over, Dominique tilted her head up, seeing the door of what seemed to be the bathroom open just a sliver, steam trailing out of it. Sitting up Dominique looked down at her still topless torso, the grey sports bra the only thing covering the two red marks in Dom's chest. Laying on the desk across the decently sized room was a new shirt that was Dom's size, as well as a note saying 'I hope you are feeling well, I'll be seeing you in a few hours for dinner. ~H' Dominique grinned at the letter, knowing 'H' obviously meant Henry.
Pulling the prison uniform shirt over her self, Dominique managed to easily slide her new arm through the sleeve, as if nothing had changed. Although Dominique would never admit this to Luxuria, but it felt nice to be able to move her arm freely again, not in a sling burning painfully. The only thing that was really any different were the sore stitches in her shoulder, as well as the affected area in general. Dominique decided to play around with her new freedom again, grabbing the chair with her left hand, and lifting it up. Despite it being metal against metal, the grip was strong enough so the chair didn't swing around, or slip. Upon further inspection Dominique realized that there was a layer of what seemed to be textured silicone, or flexible plastic. Grinning to herself, Dominique kept picking up and setting down the chair, until eventually she picked the chair up so enthusiastically that she threw it across the room like it was a pillow. The chair smashed into the wall right next to the door of the bathroom.
Not only was there a very visible dent in the dry wall, but the chair back seemed to bend a bit in the corner. Dominique quickly leapt forward, picking up the chair and throwing it smoothly back into its place right as the door opened to reveal a half dried Robin in nothing but a towel. His hair was a mess, and there was still water dripping down his chest. Dominique gingerly smiled to her new partner, giving a little wave with her good hand. "Hiya," She giggled. Robin smiled back, although his eyes undoubtedly glanced at her arm. Dominique put it behind her back, her self esteem faltering slightly. "I'm still gettin' use to it... It's much stronger then my other arm," Dom commented with a shrug.
Robin went back into the bathroom to finish getting dressed while Dominique lay back down on her bunk, staring up at the bottom of the top bunk. Dom's mind started to wander, focusing on what the next couple of weeks would be like. The fighting on its own was grueling, but now Dominique not only has to fight twice a week, but she'll have to deal with painful 'conditioning' as well. She had absolutely no idea how she was going to stay sane, other then keep close to Robin and hope they both can fuel each other. Robin had finished getting dressed, coming out of the bathroom and sitting down on the now slightly bent chair. The two caught up on the past week, Dominique explaining how she avenged her father, and talked about Henry. Dom learned what she was going to expect for the next week, which was going to be a mixture of pain and more pain, it seemed. Slowly the conversation lead towards their life outside of the Institution. Dominique told Robin about her family, how she was in collage, getting a degree in engineering, and she ended up explaining how she could easily modify the new addition to her body.
The two easily talked for three hours before there was the sound of someone walking up to their door. There was a beeping of buttons, and then Henry appeared on the other side of the door, looking happy to see Dominique. Dom grinned at her befriended guard, sitting up in her bed. "Sam told me you broke Luxuria's wrist?" Henry raised an eyebrow. Dominique gave a sheepish grin to both Henry and Robin, trying not to giggle. "I swear it was an accident." Henry scoffed, glancing to Robin with a familiar scared look. He backed out of the doorway to let Dom and Robin out, motioning for them to walk. Robin and Dominique continued to talk, Dom making an effort to include Henry in some of the conversation, although Henry seemed too intimidated by Robin to say much other then "Oh, yeah." and "I mean I guess." Eventually the three got to the dinning area, which was different from the other newbie lunch room. This one seemed nicer, with more food choices and actual chairs to sit in, not typical lunchroom benches. Dominique didn't realize how hungry she was, having not eaten for almost two days. She piled her food high, thanking her new strength in her left arm for being able to carry the over loaded tray. Sitting down with Robin, the two dug in happily, both of them smiling and laughing, care free, for the first time in two weeks.

After the meal, the two were taken to the training center where they started to work out with an instructor named Hans. Hans did some preliminary testing with the two to gauge their strength and speed. While Robin was displaying more strength at this time, Hans judged that it would not be long before Dominique would catch and pass him by with her arm and now being given the same treatments Robin had.

He talked to them about how to work and fight as a team in the arena for now, but if things went well for them, out in the world in the not too distant future. "The world?" Robin asked. "What exactly is it we are doing here? I mean we were taken from our homes, Dom had to watch family die, just what kind of messed up shit is this?"

Hans just frowned at the questioning as he looked between the two. "I have already said far too much. We will not talk about it anymore." That was not the response that Robin was looking for. The weeks of being kept captive finally had made him snap. Her reached for and grabbed Hans by his shirt collar. A moment later, he had lifted Hans off the floor with one arm and was about to toss him when two well placed darts entered his neck. Robin dropped the man to the ground and reached for the projectiles, but a moment later he was on his knees and then unconscious on the floor of the gym.

"Take him back to his cell," a choked up Hans instructed the guards there. As Dominique watched on, the two guards took Robin and dragged him back to the cell. Hans turned to Dominique and told her they would continue to trained. "A side effect of the serum he was given and now you also, is that it can lead to moments of rage."

Robin woke up on his top bunk. The cell was dark except for a small night light in the bathroom. He started to sit up, but his head hurt, likely an after affect of what ever they knocked him out with. He carefully made his way to the floor and then searched for a light switch. Finding it, he flipped it on and the went into the bathroom. Two small red holes were in the side of his neck. "Nice shot," he thought as he looked at them and rubbed them a bit.

Walking back out into the main cell area, he saw an binder sitting on the table. Picking it up, he saw it was some sort of training manual. It must have been left there when they brought him back as it was not there before. Sitting down, he opened it up and saw that it was a manual geared for him. It had his "stats" entered into it and then what appeared to be a plan for how he would progress in his training. He paged through it and then turned as the cell door started to open.

When he turned, he saw the metal hand reaching inside to push the door open more. Robin closed the book and then turned to watch as Henry stood outside telling Dom that he would be back to get them for supper. Robin grinned as he watched Dom come in with a big grin. Robin frowned a bit as the door closed. "So, how did training go?' He asked as she walked in.

When Robin had been hauled off, and Dom was told to continue training, she did as she was told, although rather angrily. Eventually Hans pushed her to the point where she actually threw a thirty pound dumb bell across the room and started to yell, although she managed to keep her hands in check. Hans quickly ended the training session, Henry coming up to escort her to the common room, where she ended up calming down and talking with both Sam and Henry for the rest of the day, explaining why she was let out early. Afterwards Henry escorted Dominique back to the room, saying that next time he'll be in the training room, to 'protect' Hans.
Robin, having already woken up, greeted Dominique with a question, in which Dom retold her version of the loss of patience with the new trainer. "It's almost as if they want us to attack this man. 'Here's a great idea, let's fill some people up with steroids and adrenaline, then push them as hard as we can!' Brilliant idea, if you ask me." Dom grinned at her sarcasm, looking over at Robin who was chuckling. The two went quiet, Dominique's eyes landing on the floor as her smile faded away. "Part of me wants to go home, but I know that nothing will ever be the same..." Dominique swallowed hard, her eyebrows furrowing as tears stung the back of her eyes. She sniffed, quickly composing herself and looking back up at Robin, who was frowning and looking worriedly at her. "But hey, who doesn't want to be a bionic bad ass?" Dom forced a smile, quickly grabbing a spare uniform from a dresser in the corner, mumbling that she was going to take a shower, then go to bed.
Closing the door, Dominique started to get undressed, starting up the shower so it had time to warm up. The hot water felt brilliant against her sweaty skin, washing away a mixture of blood, sweat, and dirt that had been missed due to the lack of a proper shower for the past two weeks. Dominique washed her hair happily, only using her right hand, not officially use to the feeling of her bionic hand on her skin. Enjoying the shower for much too long, Dominique got out, drying off. Once dressed Dom went into the main room, seeing the motionless form of Robin on the top bunk, breathing deeply. Dom went to bed, her last thoughts of her family, and how much she missed them.
When Dominique woke up, it wasn't to Robin trying to noiselessly crawl down from the top bunk, which was impossible due to his size, but instead from someone shaking her. Dominique gave a jolt when she opened her eyes to see Dr. Luxuria kneeling next to her bed, grinning wide. There was a cast on her wrist, Dom barley managing to hide her smile upon seeing it. "Get up, darling, we've got to give you another dose of conditioning. We're doing it early so you get another full days worth of exercise in." Luxuria whispered, tugging a very reluctant Dominique out of bed. Henry stood at the door, looking rather upset, frowning as he watched Luxuria with annoyed eyes. Dominique slipped on her shoes as she was whisked out of the room, barley managing to get a glance back to see if Robin was up.
Henry escorted both Dominique and Luxuria to a room full of hospital beds, all sectioned off by curtains. Dom figured this was the room Robin had gotten his conditioning in, seeing as there were a few other people laying in the beds, looks of pain in their faces. Dom was taken to a bed, where Luxuria instructed her to remove her shirt and lay on the table. Henry quickly turned around, looking as if something had suddenly caught his attention. Dominique did as she was told, getting up on the cold bed. Luxuria strapped Dominique's legs and right hand with normal bindings, but picked up a rather thick chain, strapping Dom's bionic arm to the side of bed. "Now," The good Doctor said with a smile, "Where should we inject this one?" Luxuria dragged the tip of the needle all along Dom's abdomen, almost seductively, smiling wider as she saw Dominique shiver. "Should we experiment and see how things go in a different area? Or should we keep things consistent?"
Dominique was about to give a sassy retort, but the words caught in her throat when Luxuria suddenly plunged the needle into her chest, the same area she had done it twice before. The familiar burning spread through her body, but Dominique was determined not to scream. Panting and straining against the bindings holding her down, Dominique was filled with rage. Her only thought was to get out of the bindings and snap Luxuria's pretty little neck. Dominique grabbed onto the chains that bound her wrist, and started to pull harder against them. The joints in Dom's arm audibly strained, but Luxuria seemed to be enjoying the look of painful determination on her patients face to even realize that she was in danger. With another wave of strength Dominique managed to break the chains holding her arm, the metal rope lashing out and not only smacking Luxuria in the stomach, but swung around and sliced Dominique in the chest.
The Doctor took a step back, grabbing the area the sharp metal had cut her, looking surprised and confused. Dominique didn't even feel the stinging pain of the already healing wound, too focused on getting out of the bed. She started to lash out and pull against her bindings, managing to rip her right leg off the bed, her bionic arm easily ripping the other binding holding her other arm. Luxuria had backwards, knocking over a tray of instruments while Henry stood there, shocked at what was going on. Multiple darts were shot at Dominique, but Dom was expecting them, managing to dodge out of the way as she ripped her last binding off. Dominique roared, leaping off the bed as Luxuria scrambled up, screaming and running for a back door. Luxuria tried to close the door once inside the room, but Dominique slammed her body into the wood, splintering a large section of the door as it flew open. The door hit Luxuria, sending her flying backwards, Dominique straddling the womans waist in seconds.
Right as Dominique was about to land her first punch, a sudden pain erupted through Dom's body, originating from her ribs. Dominique went rigged as her heart seemed to have stopped momentarily. Henry pulled the stiff Dom off of Luxuria, crackling electricity dancing around his hands, which were holding onto Dominique's side. Once a good few feet away from Luxuria, Henry let go, the pain from the electricity stopping instantly. Dominique lay on the ground, shaking and panting as the burn marks in the shape of Henry's hands faded away. Luxuria was still on the ground, although she was now sitting up, looking terrified at Dominique, who was glaring at the sadistic woman. Before she knew what was happening there was a bag being put over her head, and cuffs being put on her wrists. They didn't even allow Dominique to walk, carrying her instead. It was a few minutes before Dominique was released, the back and cuffs being taken off as she was roughly shoved by Sam and Juan into her room, where a very surprised looking Robin stared at a very pissed and shirtless Dominique.

"Dominique!" Robin called out as he walked over to the young woman. He stopped short, not knowing what to do. Should he hold her? Embrace her? Or should he stay back and allow her the space she may need. He tried to read what she might be sending in way of signals, but the woman just stood there, staring at the door, seething.

Robin took a shirt that was lying on top of Dom's dresser and held it out to her. He tried to advert his eyes from her as he did not wish to leave her with the impression that he was some sort of pervert. He sensed her turning around, stopping to likely stare at him for a long moment before he felt the shirt being tugged from his fingers. Giving her a moment more to put the shirt on, he turned back to her. "So, I take it things did not go well. Wanna talk about it?"

Before she was able to give a reply, the door to the cell slid open and Juan and Henry charged into the room. This time they grabbed onto Robin. Sam then enter and quickly jabbed Robin in the arm with a syringe. Pushing the plunger down quickly and pulling away, he watched as Robin soon began to swoon. While he did not lose consciousness, he was in no condition to offer resistance. As Juan and Henry started to aid Robin out of the cell, Henry flashed a look to Dominique, his eyes saying he was sorry for what had occurred before. The cell door slammed shut and they were gone.

Robin's head spun, making him feel like he was drunk. He was able to walk on his own power, but his reaction time and balance were not what they should be. He soon found himself back on the lab, Hans was standing there with Dr. Luxuria. The doctor seemed a bit irritated at the moment. She pointed to a blank grey wall at the back of her work area, "Have him stand there," she ordered the two men escorting Robin. They did as they were told and then walked quickly away. Robin had been left facing the wall. He slowly turned around, not wishing to fall over. As he did, he saw Hans standing there with a pistol.

All he recalled was seeing a flash of fire and hearing a loud crack right before the searing pain hit his right thigh. He looked up at Hans with a bit of shock and then over to the doctor as her eyes were focused on Robin's leg. Robin looked down and saw the black hole in his pants leg where the bullet had entered and then a small circle of blood starting to form. "Take off your pants, Mr. Slater." Dr. Luxuria said with a grin on her face. Robin just stared at her with a stunned look. "I said take them off!" she now said in a louder, harsher voice.

Robin did as he was told. Looking at his leg, he saw the hole made by the bullet and a trickle of blood trailing down his leg. But then he noted that the bleeding was stopping and the hole appeared to be closing. Within about thirty seconds, the wound was gone, not even a scar. Robin looked at his leg in amazement and then, with a slight smile, he looked up at Hans and Luxuria. Hans has the pistol raised again and two more sharp crack and flashes of fire came from it. This time Robin was hit in the chest and the abdomen. His hands went to reach in both places. His breathing heavy, labored.

"Your shirt. Take it off!" Dr. Luxuria ordered. Robin did not hesitate this time. He pulled the shirt off and saw the holes and blood, but just like the leg, the bleeding stopped and the holes healed without a trace. Dr. Luxuria came over to Robin and moved her hand over his chest and abdomen. A smile came to her face as she looked the man over. "Please have a seat on the gurney, Mr. Slater," she said. Robin did as he was asked and when looking up he saw her preparing a syringe. All Robin could think was not this again.

The doctor walked over and she said, "One last treatment for you. This one will just make you unconscious and should not be painful." She then plunged the needle into Robin's arm and in a few seconds he felt himself falling backward to the gurney. Juan and Henry pulled Robin to lie on the gurney as Dr. Luxuria came over with another syringe. This one had a thicker needle on it. With it she injected Robin with a small microchip, into his neck, right by his right ear. "This chip will monitor Mr. Slater for us. All his vitals and a GPS tracking device. We will put one into Ms. Barrel the next time she comes here."

The two men started to wheel Robin back. Dr. Luxuria could still be heard talking to Hans about the upcoming date in the arena for Robin and Dom. They would be fighting against two experiments gone bad. When they got back to the cell, Henry opened the door. He saw Dom lying on her bunk looking over her binder. She started to sit up when the two men lifted Robin from the gurney and hefted him up to the top bunk with a bit of strain. Then, they made their way out, the cell door shutting and locking behind them.

When the door closed Dominique heaved herself up onto Robins bed with ease, crouching down on the small edge of the bed that wasn't being occupied by Robin. Dom started to shake her partner, calling his name. At one point she even started to softly smack him, trying to wake him up. Robin didn't wake up, but instead lashed out in his sleep, fist swinging right at Dominique. Before all of this happened, Dominique wouldn't have been table to move out of the way in time. However, thanks to her heightened treatment, Dominique managed to easily push herself off of the bed, out of harms way. Dominique landed on her feet, a little miffed that Robin tried to punch her, but gave up on trying to rouse her friend. Sitting at the desk Dominique continued to read her binder, looking at the schedule they had for the rest of the week. Neither of them had fights scheduled, the entire schedule focused on training and experimenting on Dominique.
After about two hours of sitting there, twiddling her thumbs, the door opened, Dominique jumping up right away. Sam stood in the doorway, glancing over to the still sleeping Robin. "Luxuria wants you to continue training today, she says you need to work off some of that anger you're holding onto." Dominique raised an eyebrow, smirking. "If she didn't poke me with needles every day maybe I wouldn't be so violent towards her," She retorted, walking out of the cell. Sam and Dominique walked silently, into the training room where Hans and Henry waited. Henry looked apologetic, but before he could open his mouth to apologize for subduing Dominique the way he did, Hans was already barking out orders. "I want you doing pull ups until your other arms feels like it'll fall off," He growled. Dominique glared, but did as she was told, jumping up and easily pulling her chin well past the bar. In the mirrors that lined one of the gym walls Dominique could see herself, toned muscles that weren't there a week before already well developed.
Henry and Hans stood and watched Dominique do pulls ups for a good hours before Hans got bored, instructing her to move onto the punching dummy. Dominique did as she was told, a layer of sweat starting to show on her skin. As Dominique unleashed her pent up energy on the dummy, she couldn't help but notice that her arm was starting to whine, like a part wasn't moving correctly anymore. There were obvious dent marks where the chain bit into the metal earlier, but Dominique figured there was some internal damage as well. Dominique voiced her suspicions to Hans and Henry. "I can fix it myself, but I need the tools to do so... Do you have a small repair kit I can have? I'll be able to modify the arm so it'll preform better, as well."
Henry had started to nod, but Hans spoke first, "Why would we have you tools? You could escape your room, for all we know."
Finally Henry spoke, "Hans, the door is electric, she'd need special tools to not only break through the wall to get to the wires, but she'd also need to know how to cut the wires and re-route them to her favor. We'll get you a few tools so you can open your arm up and fix whatever needs to be fixed." Hans looked sour, but didn't say anything, instead barked orders at Dominique to continue on with her work out. For the rest of the day Dominique exercised, panting and shaking a bit when Hans finally told her she was done. Henry escorted Dominique back to her and Robins sell, but took a detour to grab the tools Dominique needed. "You only have a few more treatments now. Sunday you and Robin will go to the Pit together for the first time, and fight your opposing team. Think you're ready?" Henry smiled up at Dom, kneeled down so he could grab some small screw drivers in a supply closet. "We're defiantly ready, no need to worry about us... Do you know how bad the other pair is? What abilities do they have?" Henry frowned a bit, standing up. "I can't tell you that, it'd be cheating. All I can tell you is they're pretty insane... They're fast, but not as strong. I hope you and Robin can work well together."
Henry escorted Dominique back to the cell, handing her the small tool box full of items she could use to better improve her arm. "See you in a bit, then," Henry smiled to Dominique opening the door. Dom walked into the room, Robin sitting on his bed, reading what looked to be a random library book. The two talked about their day, Dominique pausing to shower before sitting down at the desk and taking a look at her arm. She managed to find a place to open it up, working on it for the rest of the day.

Robin listened as Dom told of her latest adventures and watched as she adjusted her arm. As he watched, it almost seemed to him that she was accepting of this arm and perhaps even the new life. She had lost so much with her family, but listening to her talk and watching her work on her arm, she just seemed comfortable. Even a smile crossed her lips as she spoke of Henry.

Robin felt lost. He hated what was happening to his body and he hated being imprisoned as he was. All that went through his mind was rage, revenge, hatred towards those people that were holding him here. He even fantasized about killing the guards in an attempt to escape. He knew he dare not speak to Dominique about this. He did not wish to get her in trouble and be punished for things he did and he was not certain she would not rat him out if he told her of his plans.

As he sat and listened, the wheels in his head spun as to how to get out of this place. As he sat, the door opened and Juan appeared. He pointed at Robin and motioned for him to come out of the cell. Robin rose and walked out, giving Dom a pat on the back as he walked past her. When he entered the hallway, he saw only Juan there. They moved down the hall and Robin asked, "So, what is your special power or ability. I can't believe they would allow you to walk alone with me seeing what kind of freak they turned me into. You must be able to handle yourself."

Juan just chuckled a bit, "We are not allowed to speak of what has happened to us. Suffice it to say that I made my way through the pit, but I was not deemed to be what they were looking for in this little army they are trying to make." Robin stopped and turned to look at Juan. "What exactly is it that they are attempting to do here? Take over the world? I don't get it. Kidnapping, murder, crazy whacked out experiments...what is the purpose. Why doesn't the law, the government see that something strange is happening?"

Juan stopped and motion Robin to walk into the door next to them. Robin did as he was asked and walked inside the room. Inside was Dr. Luxuria, arm still in a sling. "Come sit down Robin. I have one more injection I need to give you, but this one will be a poke and nothing more." Robin took a seat and in short order his sleeve was pushed up and his arm was swabbed with an alcohol swap and then poked with the needle. "There. That is it. You are now set to go. As you have gathered already, you have been given injections to enhance your strength and your body also has the ability to self heal. Not that you can regenerate body parts, but your flesh can mend it self right to the cellular level in a fraction of the time of a normal human."

Robin sat there listening, tapping his fingers on the table he sat next to. "Is this the place where you are expecting me to thank you? For kidnapping me? For turning me into a freak? For making me murder people to save my own life? What are you expecting of me? What is purpose of all of this?" He watched Luxuria as she stood there and just looked between Robin and Juan. "You can take him back to his cell now. I am done with him."

Robin stood and pounded the metal table with his hand, caving the top of the table in. "Tell me!" he demanded. Quickly soft thuds of air escaping a compressed tube was heard and sharp pokes to his back and neck were felt. Everything went black.

He woke up in a darkened room. He was lying on a cold metal floor, obviously not his cell again. Water could be heard dripping in a small metal sink mounted to the wall of the cell. As he sat up, Robin could almost reach both walls by just stretching out his arms. The dim light coming from under the metal door was all he had to lighten the room. Robin just sat there, his throbbing head in his hands.

When Robin was lead out of the cell, Dominique didn't think anything of it. She continued to work on her arm, replacing a few damaged joints, finding a way to make them even stronger. By the time she had finished working and closing her arm up, so focused that she didn't even realize Robin was still gone, it was dinner time. Juan opened the door, escorting Dom to the food hall. "Robin's gotten into a bit of trouble. Poking his nose into places he shouldn't... You won't see him until the end of the week, when you have your fight together." Dominique frowned, looking over and raising an eyebrow at Juan. She opened her mouth to say something, but stopped when there was a distant bang, as if someone had slammed a door. Dominique looked around, eyes searching the closest hallway for any movement. "Let's go, Dominique," Juan grunted, grabbing Dom by the arm and pulling her away.
It came to Dominique's attention that she was now noticing everything. Smell, sound, even sight. She noticed that Juan had a baton in his right belt look, farthest away from her. She could hear the screaming of another person in the distance, almost like an echo. She could also smell the cologne Juan was wearing, as well as the smell of the food, which seemed to waft out of the mess hall they were coming up on. Dominique didn't say anything, realizing that this was most likely part of the newest injection she got. Heightened reaction time, as well as certain senses. Dom's mind started running double time, thinking about poor Robin, and how with her new discovery, she could help him out. Juan lead the zoned out Dominique into the dinning hall, leaving her to stand there, looking around the dinning area.
Almost robotically she grabbed a bit of food, and started to eat. Dominique was already strong, and she was only getting stronger with each injection. It seemed that her body was metabolizing the serum differently, compared to Robin, who didn't have the awareness to dodge out of the way when something was going to hit him. Dominique mindlessly ate her food, staring at the empty seat in front of her. Robin was stuck in some dark cell, probably in pain, and Dominique could actually do something about it, or at least try to. Dom glanced around her. There were two doors, one of them being guarded by Sam, the other by Henry. Chewing on her lip, Dom studied Henry as he scanned the room, smiling when they caught each others eye. Within a split second Dominique had made up a plan. Flicking her hair back, Dominique got up and started to walk over to Henry, who grinned at her as she got closer. "Hey, what's up?" He asked cheerfully. Dom casted a glance over to Sam, who didn't notice her going over to Henry.
Quickly Dominique pushed open the door grabbing Henry's hand and pulling him out of the mess hall. Henry followed willingly, but voiced his confusion, asking what was going on. He visibly tensed up, hands ready to subdue Dominique if he needed to. She needed an element of surprise, some way to daze him before knocking him out. "I just..." She innocently stammered out, putting on the best worried face she could. Turning to a confused Henry, Dominique sprang forward, pushing Henry against the wall and kissing him. Henry froze for a second, but quickly recovered, actually responding to the kiss, putting his hands on Dom's hips. Awkwardly, Henry wasn't a very good kisser, and wouldn't get the hint that Dom was trying to pull away. Precious seconds were passing by, and Dominique could hear someone walking down the hallway, although they were still far away.
Dominique finally managed to wrench herself away from Henry's sucker lips, putting a hand on his chest, unable to back out of his grip. Henry smiled, a dazed look on his face. "I didn't think you felt the same way," He said breathily. Dominique's act slipped slightly, Dom wrinkling her nose and making a grossed out face. "I don't," She said, watching Henry's face drop right before she punched him in the head. The force of the blow easily knocked Henry out, falling down the wall. Dominique caught him right before he hit the ground, looking around. The foot steps were getting closer, and Dominique could hear the voice of Dr. Luxuria. Quickly Dominique found a supply closet, which was thankfully opened. Dragging Henry easily into the closet, Dom closed it right as she heard the footsteps round the corner into her hallway. "...Don't understand why he can't just leave it alone. I actually like Robin, but this is the second time we've had to shoot him. We'll keep him in section B for the next couple of days, teach him not to ask questions. Meanwhile I'll keep giving the little spit fire her injections. She's attacked me twice now, did you know? She's got spirit, that one..." The voice trailed off, down another hallway.
Dom's mind struggled to figure out if she knew where section B was. Most of the walls were uncovered, no signs or anything telling Dom where she was. She'd just have to hurry and find Robin as soon as possible, before Henry wakes up and alerts Sam. Hurrying out of the supply closet, Dominique jogs down the hallway, looking for any sign telling her where section B was. "Please be making a noise," Dominique whispered to herself as she jogged. It took Dom five minutes before she finally managed to find a solid idea of where section B was. A map posted next to a elevator showed section B two floors below. Dominique grinned, glancing at the elevator next to the map. She'd never been in one the entire time she'd been here, and for some reason it felt as if the elevator was alarmed, or had cameras. Deciding to follow her instincts, Dominique went for the stairs.
When she flung open the door, Dominique almost ran into the last person she wanted to see. Juan stood there, confused at why Dominique was walking around with out a guard. "Where's Henry or Sam?" Juan raised an eyebrow. "Oh, I just needed to use the rest room, and neither of them wanted to take me, so I went by myself," Dominique quickly lied. Juan looked skeptically at Dom, obviously not believing the lie. "Well you're going the complete wrong direction. Here, I'll take you," Juan said, pushing Dominique back. Panicking, Dom knew that she needed to get past Juan quickly, before anyone noticed Henry was missing, or if Henry woke up. "I don't have time for this, Juan," Dom mumbled, quickly dropping her act. Juan looked confused, opening his mouth to say something, but was quickly cut off as Dominique shoved him through the stair case door that was still ajar. Dom swung up at Juan, but missed as he stumbled backwards.
The two scuffled, Dominique managing to get a good punch into Juan's elbow, audibly breaking it, but Juan man aged to kick out Dom's knee, causing her to drop onto the other. Juan suddenly grabbed Dom's shoulders, keeping her kneeling as he put another, injured, hand over her mouth. [b]"You're giving me no choice, then,"
Juan mumbled, frowning. It felt as if water was pouring into her lungs. Dominique started to cough and struggle, trying to push Juan away. Water filled her lungs, mouth, and trickled out of her nose and across her cheek as she looked up at Juan, who looked down at her with a pained face. Kicking into full flight or fight mode, Dominique grabbed Juan's wrist, and wrenched it backwards. Juan started to yell in pain, but Dominique quickly got in a punch, knocking Juan out as well.
The instant Juan dropped to the ground Dominique started to throw up water, coughing and heaving as she leaned against the wall. A ton of water was both thrown and coughed up, Dom not moving until she felt all the water leave her lungs. The fight had taken precious minutes away from Dom, forcing her to continue on her quest to find Robin while her lungs still burned. Practically sprinting down the stairs, Dominique found section B, throwing the door open. There were no guards, just hallways full of doors. She could hear banding and yelling, like a bunch of prisoners trying to get out of their cell. Following the noise, Dominique easily found the hallway, almost every single door being shaken or hit. The only room that was silent is the room Dominique went to first. Putting an ear against the door, Dom could hear breathing, and the occasional movement, telling her someone was in there.
"Robin? Robin is that you in there, buddy?" Dom called through the door. Robin answered, the sound of him quickly getting up making Dom grin. "Stand back, I'm going to try and kick in the door," She called, taking a step back as well. Using all of her super human strength Dominique kicked the door, which flew off its hinges, hitting and knocking over Robin. Dominique tried to hide her laughter by covering her mouth, quickly apologizing through her snickering. Helping Robin out of the cell, she grinned at him. "Come on, let's get you back upstairs," She said with a smile.
