Moonbow holds sovereignty over The Jail, giving them the ability to make limited changes.

Setting

They were brought to a high-tech lab in the place of an old prison, their old memories were restored and the ones from their time in Alaska were erased.
The mutants were locked up like animals, tested on, and sold to be slaves in classified places for high-ranked officials. Sometimes though, they'll release one, and only one, mutant out into the wilderness and hunt them down like it's a sick game and record it for the other mutants to watch. This place is simply called Jail, the name its prisoners gave it.

Well, it had quietted down a little bit. She scowled like she bit into a lemon, that bitch-like scowl you'd only find on adults. Also, furthermore, it seems she was fully ignored. Then when the scientist came, the noise started up again. Dr. Dragon. Abby figured that she and Lloyd couldn't be pushed around by her, considering how they were Dr. Exburna's property. However, she didn't feel like defending those particular mutants.

When the familiar noises passed, Abby figured it would be quieter. Then one of the mutants from the same cell seemed to be making an attept to escape. Lloyd tried gesturing Abby to help out, but she refused.

"Can somebody help me out here? We're treated like animals but when 'animals' work together, they can usually break free. Are you catching my hint, here?" She was asking for help. "I'm sorry, there's only machines in this cell, try another one." Her voice wasn't as cold and automatic as it was earlier, however, the statement was a lot colder.

Lilly looked at the wall of the cell opposite, only just hearing. Maybe, just maybe if I break into the other cells first, we could get out.. Alone, we'll be shot down or captured again. She took a step or two back and a deep breath. This was probably going to hurt. "All of us want to escape. Machine or not." She ran at the wall, nearly hitting her head with the full force.

The wall in A8 had a massive spike in and the acid shot up the sides, sizzling loudly. Lilly stepped back again for another run up. "We can't do this alone!!" She shouted, bashing into the wall a second time. The dent grew and the acid shot up again, making obvious cracks in the wall. Stepping back, she saw she had just about thinned the wall with the acid enough to break it with another bash.

Taking a final run up, she ran at the wall, bashing it down. The acid which had gotten it's self inside the wall splashed down, then floated back to her and layed on her skin. Stumbling into the other cell, she looked at the two machines. "If you want to stay in here forever, go tell those scientists what I've just done. If you want to be free, help us." She examined the room for an easier way out.

"I can't be the only one tired of hearing those screams." She sighed. If they weren't going to help, that was a waste of her valuble time. The scientists would have noticed all the noise and may be on their way over.

"What are you doing?" Abby asked. Then, the wall broke down. Lloyd scampered to the back of the room. "I don't see the point, he'll come back." Abby looked back at Lloyd who flashed a "λ" symbol on his helmet. "Okay, maybe he's only got a 50% chance," she admitted, "But still, what do you expect is going to happen."

Abby sighed and walked into the neighbouring cell. She checked the door. "Knew it, half-pin barrels, they must have had budget cuts... Locks, same kind, keypad and card, single lock..."

"Okay, this is simple. Find some way to lift the door out of it's hinges, then you shouldn't need to worry about the lock and he will likely be in Labrynth testing, I saw it on the schedule, though, you do realize that this is only a one time thing, and you'll likely be punished afterwards, even if you don't get to your friend."

Jason resided in a small chamber at an opposite entrance to the maze, the last thing he remembered laying his head back down to sleep after being woken by the mutants in the cell right next to his and now he awakes once more to an even smaller pitch black chamber, of course it wasn't much of a problem as his eyes easily penetrated the darkness. This chamber was very familiar to him, several times before he awoke to find himself in this chamber, then he would be released into a winding maze were he would meet his his prey. They are always already confused after being forced into the maze itself but once they heard the his condemning hiss the panic would set it, before long they would find themselves all split up in the large maze and that is when he made his move taking them out one by one, to his amusement by the end of it he found there was no consequence for the killing. He never understood why they allowed him to kill like this, for a sick game? Or maybe to test the other mutants, whatever the case may be all that mattered to him is his opportunity to kill freely.

Jason placed the palm of his hands against the wall and sat there for several minutes, sure enough on the other end of the maze mutants were being brought it but this time he sensed they were more familiar ones, why if he wasn't mistaken it was the noisy ones from the cell next to his. His tongue covered in oily black saliva slowly licked the wall from the bottom up, as if he could already taste the blood and the fear of his new prey, sure enough as he did this that very wall in front of him opened up slowly. He placed one clawed hand out slowly just to check if it was safe, he learned to never trust the crafty human scientist, when finally he concluded that it was safe to exit his confinement he rushed out and began scaling the walls with amazing stopped. It only took a couple visits to this maze to memorize every turn there was and he immediately began heading towards his prey's starting point, he did not plan on killing them yet but once he made it clear to them just how easily and quickly he could find them in the maze they will be thrown into a pit of fear and confusion that would hopefully cause a divide. Once they were off on their own he would then take his sweet time tracking each of them down once again.

Wynter
"You know what else, Lilly? Animals don't hesitate to take a humans life." She gestured for Lilly to get behind her when she heard the help from the machine mutants.
"Knew it, half-pin barrels, they must have had budget cuts... Locks, same kind, keypad and card, single lock..." One said thoughtfully.
"Okay, this is simple. Find some way to lift the door out of it's hinges, then you shouldn't need to worry about the lock and he will likely be in Labrynth testing, I saw it on the schedule, though, you do realize that this is only a one time thing, and you'll likely be punished afterwards, even if you don't get to your friend." Wynter had a rare, malicious grin as she focused very hard. The ice crept to the bottom of the door and she made a fast motion that shot the ice up and the door off its hinges. There was a guard outside and Wynter punch him in mouth, effectively knocking him out as well as shattering his skull. She wanted to kill more, but she stopped herself so she wouldn't get blood lust.
"Shall we go my lady?" Wynter smiled at Lilly.

Calla
The monster moved through the maze and seemed to be anticipating their arrival.
"Don't leave me, if you do then you'll die. In this maze lurks a lizard mutant trying to kill us, it will try and get us separate so he can pick us off one by one. The monster was so loud, Calla could practically see him. The boy that was brought in with her seemed to be shaking the slightest.
"Please don't scream again."

Lilly smiled at Wynter, wondering if she should stop her. She couldn't help but feel like if Wynter got hurt, it was her fault. I didn't mean to it to go this far! But now we know how to get out... She stopped herself. Those kinds of thoughts were dangerous. Find cat-kid, get him back to the cell, hope no-one saw. The feeling of guilt still stabbed at Lilly, leaving her stomach to twist itself in knots as she ran out of the door and looked around.

Kneeling by the guard, she went through his pockets. Her hand gripped on a radio, pulling it out. She knew it wouldn't help, but kept it anyway. "Thank you.. uh.. machines." She smiled and nodded polietly. "Miss, do you know where the Labyrinth is?" She hoped she did, otherwise this was a waste of time.

Wynter
"Hey! Cell A10 is empty! That was the lizard thing right?" Wynter's face drained of whatever color was left as she realized that. "They put him in the labyrinth! We got to find them!" she turned to Lilly, the little girl looking through the dead guard's pockets. "If there's any water, take it in case we get separated."

Lilly looked up. I already felt bad enough, now there's a timer on this!? "Ok, lets get going! We have to find them and soon!" She started to run along the pathway, not knowing exactly where she was going but her feet left dents in the floor anyway if she needed to re-trace her steps. If they died or even got hurt, it would lie on her conscience for the rest of her life and she didn't want that. She decided it was time for Wynter to not be under her influence anymore and for her to go back to the cell. "Lets split up." She smiled, knowing that Wynter would find it hard to disagree with her.

"Meet me in five minutes back at the cell!" Lilly didn't leave her with any time to disagree and ran off in a random direction, knowing she wasn't going to return untill she had found cat-kid and the other woman. Finding the entrance of the Labyrinth, the closed door blocking the path.

Jason grew ever closer to his targets and he knew it, he could taste them in the air and feel it in his bones and in the darkness of the maze they would not be able to see leathery black scaled body, the only thing that would stick out was his bright eyes but that was a problem easily solved simply by closing his eyes for he did not need them to find his prey. As the initial over excitement died out he began to focus on the stealth aspect of the hunt, though most were inexperienced prey that did not stop them from being able to hear, fortunately he was an experienced killer and it was very easy for him to keep up his quick pace without making the slightest of noise as his palms touched the wall's surface one by one. The blood lust in the air was almost palpable, from were he was he could already hear some indistinct chatter as they were most likely trying to find a strategy of escape, whatever they were up to they were already better than the last group which panicked the moment the were locked into the Labyrinth. After several minutes silently stalking through the maze he climbed to the top of the large walls that were two high to scale for humans and from there he was able to see them, a young girl with red wavy hair stuck out the most among them and she looked more at ease than the rest of them, almost as if she knew something the others did not.

He reared back his head and let out a horrible screeching noise that was crossed between a roar and the hiss of a snake so they would know that he was close, the sound would reverberate off the many walls of the maze making it seem like the it came from all around them. Immediately after he climbed down from his position as to not risk being spotted for even if they couldn't see him well he would not risk any of them just so happening to look up at that very spot,he then began moving in closer proximity of them in case even one of them reacted how he wanted and ran off to desperately search for an exit.

Calla
The hostile roar of the lizard man echoed through the labyrinth; she caught sight of him as he roared atop the walls. He would never know that she saw him because of her crossed eyes that could never make contact. Through the slight tremors of vibrations on the ground and his acrid scent Calla could tell exactly where the lizard was; she wasn't scared at all, the boy with her, however, was a very different story.

Wynter
At Lilly's cue Wynter headed off to the door of cell A10 and noticed disgusting black liquid leading away in a trail down the hall. She followed the trail and also felt for slightly warm spots in the air. To her, every person's body temperature has a signature, almost like a scent. This tactic revealed a second person was with Seoul but it was a very hard and complicated way to track someone so she stayed with following the black ooze.

Lilly stared at the humungous white door. Maybe she was just small, but it seemed to grow and grow from where she stood. She was about 70% sure that it lead to the Labyrinth as she had followed some scientists talking about a mutant with an extreme fear of water and a blind one. They must have picked up someone else too. They said they were going to watch them scream as they were torn limb from limb... Lilly shuddered at the thought of the screams.

If she burst in and it wasn't the Labyrinth, she was going to be in trouble.. She might even have to kill someone and she didn't want to do that. Either way, she needed to do it quietly. If there was a beast in there, noise could startle it and summon an attack out of self defence. Placing her hands on the wall, she felt the hard, smooth surface bubble and wilt away. The acid slowly infected the door, weaking the inside.

Finally, her hands burnt straight through, leaving two holes for her to see inside. SCIENTISTS! She held her breath, praying to god they hadn't noticed. They seemed to be watching something through a glass window. Wait, was that...? Cat-kid! She dared to continue breathing. They were too consumed in their sick games to notice her. Probably. She recognised Dr. Dragon, though, laughing at Seoul and some other blind woman they had added to the equation. Then something blocked her view of Seoul and the woman.

She gasped. Some kind of.. lizard thing... Bringing herself to look back at the scientists in the room it's self...

..They were all staring at her.
Whoops.

Calla
In the distance she could barely make out the figure of a small girl, probably close to her own age, and all the scientist were turning away from the observation deck to look at her. Calla didn't want the girl to get hurt so she thought of making a distraction; but what could she do? Her own scream hurt her ears, but what were her other options? She went with the scream, her scream was blood curdling that would give anyone chills and make them tremor. As soon as she closed her mouth Calla dragged the boy that was with her farther into the maze, but in a different direction than the lizard beast. Silently Calla sung to herself to make keep herself at ease.

Wynter
The black ooze led to a large door and Wynter wasn't sure if she wanted to enter. She had heard all the awful sounds the lizard man had made and how big he seemed from his racket. The door could probably be easily opened if she tried, yet Wynter didn't want to go inside. Ashamed of herself, she ran in a random direction; hoping to find Lilly or just escape.

Lilly, startled by the scream, knew it was her cue to get away. She turned and ran as fast as she could, re-tracing her steps. Hiding behind a wall, she felt terrible. She'd just.. left them! Maybe if she found a way into the maze it's self, she could... Sighing, she looked down at her feet. They had burned, very slightly, into the ground and left two foot marks. That'd make it easy to find a way out or the Labyrinth! If only she could find a way in...

...Heck, if she was going to be punished if she got them out or not, she might as well be punished by doing something in style! Ah well, it didn't need to make sense! If Lilly had burned where the scientists were, the labyrinth enterance its self couldn't be far away. She wandered around, avoiding people and hiding in doorways. No entrance could be found. All she could do was whisper her thanks to the girl who had saved her and pray that she would be able to return the favour.

"Are there any big cats in the maze? Like tigers or lions?" He reached out with his senses. If there was they might just have a chance. He felt somethiing vaguely feline, but he wasn't sure what it was. He jerked Calla out of the way as the lizard thing almost leapt upon her. "RUN!" He said as the lizard chased after them with a roar. He smelled something burning, but had no time to contemplate it.

He felt his scarf shift. The KITTEN!!!!! He remembered that his hand had been cupped around it the entire time. As they ran, he tried to form a makeshift sling to keep the kitten in place. It yawned, showing thin white teeth. 'Why are we running?' it mewed softly. It fell back to sleep in the sling. He had to get them out of here. The exit....the exit! He remembered his time at the testing facility. They used to run him in mazes as well. He shifted through the turns and passageways expertly, but came to a dead end. At least they had lost the lizard~

Myr had been abandoned, it appeared. One resident had done so with the staff, but the other two had upped and left without a single word to her. She couldn't help but feel a little embittered by the experience, but then she wasn't really sure what she should expect.

It was apparent that these people had no concern for her, but that was not a surprise. The cat boy displayed no interest in her desire to get away from the cold and not have his yelling and shrieking inflicted on her, it stood to reason, to a degree, that the other two would be just as lacking in civility.

She sat with her arms leant on her knees, looking down at the floor. At least it was warmer now, the shapeshifter supposed...which meant less possibility of dying from hypothermia. A minor consolation in the situation, but it was something.

Myr glanced upwards, through the gap in the wall, over at the two other subjects that apparently inhabited it. She couldn't help but feel concerned that she was going to get in trouble over this, despite having no involvement in it....but what was she going to do? Re-build the wall?

"It appears that I've been forsaken." she remarked to them.
"I'm not sure what I've done to offend my cellmates exactly."

Calla
"RUN!" But Calla was already running with her hand locked around one of the boy's arms. The boy seemed to grasp the situation and started running faster than her.
"I know how to get out this way!" Calla shouted, the boy didn't listen and kept going his own way so she followed him until they slammed into a dead end. The cold, slithering sound of a hiss came from behind them, it was quiet and probably accidentally slipped out of the creatures jaws from the joy of getting to his prey. Calla could see the outline of him as she turned around but in the maze where everything looked the same, it was hard to pinpoint where the lizard was because he blended around in her blue shadow and made almost no sound; any roar he made hurt Calla's ears too much. His acrid smell stretched to every inch of the maze making scent impossible. So maybe...she was blind.
"Hey, boy, find a way to set the sprinklers off and then I can get us out of this brawl. FYI I don't care if you're afraid of water. There might be a valve somewhere up top, I can't tell exactly.... Just find a way!" Calla begged, hoping the boy wouldn't say he would not leave her side because she was blind. He didn't seem like that type though...

Wynter
Her running led her back in the cell where Wynter discovered they had left a mutant behind. It was the canine girl, just sitting there calmly.
"I'm not sure what I've done to offend my cellmates exactly." she said absentmindedly.
"I'm so sorry! You're so quiet...I don't deserve your help but can you come with me to save my friends? I'm so ashamed of myself, I got cold feet and didn't enter the maze. I need to have a friend with me..." A few tears slid down her cheek as Wynter begged the canine girl.

"Come here my little BlueBird." Four people were huddled together, smiling in front of a vast expanse of dark wavy blue stuff. One of them laughed, and grinned, a little girl with butterfly things in her hair. She waved, and the picture froze as the boy next to her smiled...

In one of the cells, a girl smiled. No one saw but the mouse at the far corner of the metal room, and the girl seemed to remember that she was a prisoner in hell. Her cell was warm, always warm because of her ability to make it warm, and it always smelled like brimstone. Didn't they used to say hell was always on fire? She tried to smile again but only managed to grimace as the pitter-patter of feet reverbrated into her cell, hurting her fragile ears. Voices, she could take, but heavy footsteps always pained her.

BlueBird moaned as she clawed at her ears. Her black dress clung to her gaunt frame and gave her comfort for a brief moment. At least she was clothed. "Huh." She almost smiled again but then she forced herself to freeze. Don't think. Don't feel. Don't move. BlueBird curled into a ball and repeated her mantra over and over again. Don't think. Don't feel. Don't move.

Myr heard to sound of one of her..possibly former cellmates arriving back again, the ice girl though elected not to say too much. In truth it rather made her second-guess them. She wasn't really sure if her presence was valued any more by them than by the staff members, as this one had returned on the basis of needing her help, rather than being concerned for her welfare.

"I am quiet because my jaw is not fixed well. I don't enjoy speaking. I've also not had sleep in a long time, between the cold, the cats, and all the shouting. I'm not certain if I'm your friend. I'm not that familiar with it, but I don't think that's what friends are supposed to do." she stated, but she rose to her feet anyway, flexing her fingers and arms a little to will some feeling back into them.

"I might as well help though. I have a feeling that I'm going to be in trouble for this now whether I take part in it or not. So I might as well take part, rather than get punished for nothing."

Myr stepped into the corridor, something that felt a little unusual in comparison. She considered triggering the change for the extra speed and strength it granted, but the change itself was extremely painful, so she was not keen to initiate it without good reason.

"I'm so sorry we left you, by the way I can't control how the temperature drops, I just couldn't let Lilly think she was alone in this." Wynter grabbed the girl's hand and ran down the corridor following the trail of ice and black ooze. Within five minutes they arrived at the large, rustic door.
"What is your name?" she asked the girl.

"It appears I have been forsaken," The last girl finally spoke up, "I'm not sure what I've done to offend my cellmates exactly." Lloyd just kept thinking in his head Don't make eye contact, Don't make eye contact, while lying on his bunk, which was at the top. Abby lied on her bunk, the bottom one and just gazed at her hands. "It's not that, they are just acting rashly, logically being dumb," It seemed one of the mutants came back. "I'm sorry, did you hear that?" she asked. Neither of the two were making an wttempt to be usefull at all. Despite them being able to get away with things more easily than most of the other subjects can, they seemed to not want to push their luck, except maybe Abby's verbal annoyances. Maybe they just don't care about resisting, whether it be sloth or morality.

Once the mutants had left, Abby started talking with Lloyd. "You know, this place is very stressfull. I'm barely human anymore yet I'm mentally stressed, though, I bet there are other subjects who are stressed out." Lloyd didn't attempt to move. Abby continued. "You know what I need? If I wasn't so advanced into my bio-replacment process, I could really use a good-" Lloyd instantly turned so he could get a look at Abby, his helmet have a huge bold red '×' on his helmet. "Speaking of which," Abby asked, "I'm wondering why don't they bother to seperate oppisite gendered subjects into different cells, I'm know that that normally is what you'd do to prevent a-subject-you'd-rather-not-talk-about from happening," Lloyd flashed a couple things on his screen, "3-5", "14-", some red bars, an eye, and a depression face, ":(". "Well, you have a couple good points there." Abby admitted. Obviously she understood all that.

"Hey, don't you find it strsnge," Abby noted, "That no guard ias come to check on the cell, and furthermore, why no alarms have gone off?" Lloyd flashed a symbol that may have been an L.E.D. picture of a cloud. "Hah hah," Abby laughed sarcasticly . Obviously some inside joke.

"Hah hah." BlueBird withdrew from her body seeming to burrow herself deeper into herself. The robotic laugh encouraging her to dig deep into the cell she created inside her head and lock herself away. The reality of her situation was also chasing her out of her own body and into her head where she could reside while her physical body would be forgotten along with the reality of her situation... At least for a moment.

Behind her walls of solitude, BlueBird vaguely recognised the tingly sensation of movement in her physcal surroundings. She slowly came back to life, as she lifted her head and opened her eyes.

The room inside the cell brightened as BlueBird's eyes began to give off a soft blue glow. The glow always hid the fact that her eyes were practically made of sapphires that were on fire. At least, that's what the scienctist said. BlueBird has to bline twice to make out the tiny form of a mouse nosing her feet. Suprise, and shocked, she did nothing but freeze until she remembered something the scientists had once said: "She's just as bad as a rodent." Anger pulsed through her and her eyes brightened as the mouse caught fire.

The mouse let loose a scream as the blue flames spread outwards like a tiny explosion and filled the entire cell for second, before swarming back towards the ashes of what was once the mouse. BlueBird stared at her creativity her and cocked her head to the left. Her black dress survived the tiny explosion, including herself. The flames never burned her, or ruined the clothes she wore. All they did was weaken her.

"My name is Myr. As far as I know. It might have been a shortening but I can't remember the full." the experiment stated as she walked, her gaze on the floor. Myr spoke with little intonation or expression in her voice. Sometimes it sounded almost as if she were reading from a script, her words so lacked any feeling.
"I'm not offended by what you did, it's very much expected considering my situation."

She eyed the door, coming to the conclusion that whatever was there would most likely be dangerous....and if there was anything openly hostile, she would not have time to properly change. Perhaps it was best to do so before they went in.

"I'm going to change form. There isn't any need to be alarmed about it." she added to the girl she was with.

The experiment began to concentrate, and moments after, doubled over with a gasp as her spine bent forwards with a sudden, audible 'snap' and several bony spikes burst out from between her shoulder blades. Unlike for the newer creations, the transition was painful, extraordinary so. The heart and lungs had to cease their functions and expand, causing choking and breathlessness...until her trachea tore itself in two in order to extend. Her skull elongated and stretched, growing a new, much more vicious set of teeth, and two additional eyes burst their way out of her cheeks. Nearly every change was like a first time for her, having little memory of the time before. It never seemed to get any easier, but it was at least mercifully brief. Soon enough she stood in her new form, a hunched, terrible, spiked thing, something that was well deserving of the name 'hellhound'.
