Image
Full Name:
Azrele Selvin
Nicknames and Aliases:
Smokey||A name her brother gave to her long ago, he was the only one who was able to call her by this and get away with it
The Gray Lady||Few are aware of her real name and so this is an Alias many call her by.
Species:
Smoke Elemental
Gender:
Female
Age:
Somewhere in her late teens
Primary Magic:
Smoke Manipulation||Being an Elemental, Azréle is able to manipulate her element at will and there are various ways in which she can do so. The speed at which it moves can be affected by pushing it to move incredibly fast or slow as a snail. In doing so it is capable of cutting, similar to how wind could cut or move something with enough power behind it. Capable of tweaking the smokes density, she can make it either very dense where it's nearly as solid as rock or revert it to its normal density. Azréle is capable of changing any part of her body into that of her element. This had proven to be a useful skill in combat as Azréle can simply change any targeted body part into smoke. However the only drawback to this is she is unable to change her entire body, there must always be some solid part of her body no matter how small it may be.

ImageHair Color:

Eye Color:
Amber
Height:
5’6
Weight:
She is weightless
Tattoos/Piercings/Scars:
Azréle has a remarkably flawless body
General Description of Body Type:
With her beautifully spiked hair and amber eyes she looks every bit how one would expect of such a being. Azréle has short dark purple-blue hair that is spiked in a punk style. The young woman has a dark grey complexion most assume is because of her element. She enjoys wearing gothic clothing. On occasion she will wear a school uniform of similar dark themes. The usual attire consists of short frilly dresses, a gothic Lolita one could say, with the most common color being black or other shades of similar hue.

ImagePersonality:
Playful||Dark||Aloof||Childish
Azréle can be described as many things but her most notable trait are her childlike yet dark behavior. The young woman enjoys playing pranks on others and is sometimes easy to rile up. However she does so in a mockingly way so it's difficult to know if it really is how she acts. Like most children Azréle has a need to be entertained nearly all the time. Whether it be through jokes or watching others suffer. Many wonder as to why she acts in such a way and it is easy to conclude it as an attempt to be the little sister her brother always saw her as. Azrele also does her best to hide her darker side and for her this is the best way to do so, she usually only does this around strangers. Once she gets to know a person little by little she reveal a bit of her real self.
Despite Azréle's outward demeanor it can range from complete apathetism to utter empathy, once it reaches the latter one can assume it is no longer genuine. Which falls into the world going on around her yet she doesn't seem to be affected by it emotionally. It's comparable to say that she doesn't care about the consequences of her actions. At times the young woman could care less about your well-being while at others fawn over you as if you were nothing but delicate china, nor does she have problems working outside of the norms or morals others in her community have set up. Meaning she will use any tactics considered "dirty" if it means getting what she wants.
Likes/Loves:(At least 5)(repeat format if more)
Sweets||Most will often find her eating some sort of sweet
Humor||If it can make her laugh she'll like it
Freedom||Azréle loves being able to do what she wants, whenever she wants to no matter what it may be.
Dislikes/Hates:(At least 5)(repeat format if more)
Blood||Although she doesn't mind the sight of blood she dislikes seeing her own.
Goodie-Two-Shoes||Being someone who enjoys messing with others, there are some who oppose the idea and thus ruin her fun
Water||Azréle has a dislike for water as it occasionally puts a damper on her element
Being Restricted||She likes being able to do her own thing so when that is obstructed you may find yourself on her bad side
Strengths: (What are they good at- at least four)
Agility & Flexibility||The young woman is quite the flexible thing being able to twist and turn her body in ways most thought impossible. Despite her usually riding along with her pumpkin umbrella, Azréle is very quick on her feet.
Durability||Since her body is able to become smoke itself, as well as being able to manipulate the density of it Azréle is an opponent that one may find difficult to bring down with simple attacks. This also goes into her attacks as well, whereas normally one would not be able to cut through a person with their bare hand, Azréle can simply adjust the density and reconstruct it into doing just that.
Adept Liar||Known for her lies, well not really known, Azréle can never be trusted to keep a secret or to tell the truth if it means she is able to benefit from it. She is also very good at making it believable so it is very difficult to know if she is telling the truth or not. Even the best of the best have trouble figuring out her tangled web of lies.
Weaknesses: (what are they bad at- as many or more than strengths)

History:
At least two detailed paragraphs including how they got chosen for the expedition.

Face Claim:
Road Camelot||D. Gray Man

Maven and Corren were preparing Cress for the night, of course there'd be a nurse on call and she had a button that would alert the nurse. Now that Cress could move there was no longer someone in vigilant watch twenty four hours a day. She was hoping that she would soon have her independence back too, maybe by the time Heron and Kora returned so that she could surprise them to something pleasant after facing a war. Was Kora being tortured at this very moment? Had King Semyon locked Kora in a dungeon and waterboarded her? Or worse? Sand blasted? Cress didn't even know what sort of torture methods they had up here, remembering some of the ones that the Queen and Itward had implemented made her shiver.

"What's wrong? Do you have a fever?" Corren placed a hand against her forehead. "You're a bit warm," he grabbed out a thermometer, "the last thing you need is an infection." Cress sighed, but allowed him to put the thermometer underneath her tongue. There was a brief moment of silence until the thermometer beeped and he pulled it out. "Nothing," he said and turned, contemplating aloud. "Must just be warm from the blankets." Which was odd considering how cold Cress was, but then again, she was always cold. It was as though some of Narina's ice had frozen in her bones, leaving her with a constant ache for warmth.

"Goodnight Cress," Maven said, closing the curtains since night had befallen and the only light coming in was from the stars. "G'night," Cress managed, wishing that there was someone beside her to share the bed with. As much as Cress hated to admit it, she wanted Heron to be there, to hug her like a stuffed animal like she did every night. Cress would never tell Heron this though, she'd never be able to live it down. She missed Kora too, the little lamb had a warmth that she radiated that Kora probably didn't know about.

Cress wasn't tired yet, maybe she could turn on the holo and watch something? She wiggled around, trying to reach the remote that Corren had placed on the nightstand. Her fingers brushed it, accidentally pushing the remote so that it clattered to the ground. Cress sighed, too much work anyways. Her hand fell beside her and she stared up at the ceiling, counting the tiles. The door opened, someone peeked inside. "I figured you may be bored," Itward walked inside, unsure of himself. Cress looked up and smile. "Itward," she tried to sit up but he motioned for her to remain still, he brought a chair to sit beside the bed.

"I know Heron usually keeps you company, I figured I could at least stay until you fell asleep." Cress's smile was gentle, eyes brimming with warmth. She could tell that something had happened, Itward looked sad, as though he had been thinking of Nio again. "What's... wrong?" Cress finally asked, watching the red haired general. Did Nee still have to marry Itward? Cress didn't know. She knew that Nee loved Shiro and by now, Itward probably knew of Nee's love for the pup. Was the wedding called off when Narina died?

Itward suddenly laughed, interrupting her train of thought. "My you are perceptive as always." Was that a compliment? Cress would take it as such. She smiled slowly, lazily. "Tell me," she beckoned and Itward shifted, placing his tablet on the ground. "It's Nio," he admitted, just as Cress had predicted. "She came to Shiro in a dream and gave her a message." Itward scratched the back of his neck, "it's stupid to feel so jealous of her. She was best friends with Nio." This was the first Cress was hearing of the dream. Could it be that it had happened while Shiro had been napping before?

"And you're... angry?" Itward shook his head, "no, just sad that she didn't come see me I guess." He looked up as though the answer key to the world was written on the ceiling.

It wasn't her fault? Lies. It was, Shiro's downfall was her own fault. How was she supposed to protect Nee? No one would believe tht she was ever the Queen with how tiny she was, if anyone tried to assassinate Nee, there would be no mistaking her, no being able to play the role of the Queen to thwart such attempts on Narcia's life. Shiro couldn't fight either, King Azel had tried to teach her but Shiro had been useless in that way too. A sword that had been much too big and heavy for her to wield, the girl had nearly skewered herself when the King had been teaching her the proper technique. She was better with a smaller weapon, like a knife.

That reminded her, she had a gift from the King, a mini Ouranians army knife that she could strap to nearly anything. Shiro should begin carrying that around again, especially since it had a multitool that would come in handy, but that was another stream of thought she would have to store for a later date when she was bullied or whatnot. Of course Shiro wasn't too concerned by that since she didn't think that Nee would allow anyone to get away with bullying her. "If I weren't so useless than maybe I would have been able to stop it with my own power."

Shiro was a servant, she was born and bred a servant, so it was weird to think that she wouldn't be. She looked at her hand, at opened and closed them, unsure. "It's what I've always been," Shiro said quietly, "I don't know how to do anything else." She shook her head, "But it's okay, because it's what I want to be." Shiro didn't actually know if that's what she wanted, she knew for sure that she wanted to stay be Nee's side and this was the best way to do it. Love was about taking care of those you treasured most, right? "I want to stay by your side, even if it's as your servant." Nee had said it wasn't her fault, that none of this was. So Shiro was still a good girl and that was a relief.

Narcia picked up the pen injector and Shiro whimpered. "No, please don't." She didn't want anymore pain. Nee did it anyways and Shiro yelped as the tiny chip was embedded in her wrist. She blinked away the tears that tried to blossom because she needed to be brave. Nee injected her chip into herself and bandaged up Shiro's wrist, giving it a kiss. "Won't it confuse the knights?" Shiro asked, shuffling. It wouldn't do much either since they knew what the Queen looked like. "I don't want you to get hurt," Shiro said, her tummy grumbling. That's right, she had been attacked right before lunch. It was odd to feel hungry, it was something Shiro had never felt before.

They seemed to like her little nook and Cress was glad. "I saw it in a dream, I wasn't sure if it was real or not but I wanted to check." Cress said and lifted her head to look at them. They booth seemed to admire it, Heron giving a long, low whistle. "It was made so Narina-er-mother I guess, would never be able to overhear Nee and I talking." Cress hoped that they would understand that they were free to speak their minds here. There were no prying eyes or reporters, it was just three girls, able to speak without fear of interference. "Are you kidding? Every moment I'm not in treatment I'll be on that hologram." Cress said with a confident grin. She knew that tomorrow would be another round of tests.

There'd be blood and samples of all kinds, it'd be painful no doubt, but Cress knew that in the end it would all be worth it. When she could move without the assistance of the gravity drive, when she could breathe without tubes. Those would be the glorious moments that Cress would live for. "It'll be lonely without you guys when I can't be on it." That's right, there would be no Heron to make jokes or shoo away from trying to grab her, no Kora to save from Heron's bullying or Aya to reassure that she wasn't going to disappear. "But by the time you guys come back, I'll be strong again." Cress promised, beginning to feel weak again. She was pushing it even though she had been told not to, but Cress believed that this little break would pick her right back up.

As soon as she went back out there Cress knew she was going to have to sit on the throne for the rest of the evening, or at least until her public appearance was deemed suitable and she was allowed to leave. Cress was excited to be here though, she didn't want to go back to that dreaded room even if she had to wear a dress and show off her legs or speak to reporters. "Let's treasure our time we have together right now, because we won't be able to have any until you guys came back." Cress tried to smile, but she felt sad. Her friends were going to leave her behind.

Cress, who had once been strong, Cress who had fought in the rebellion, was being put into a gilded cage so that she didn't hurt herself. A princess trapped in a high tower, guarded by twin dragons named Corren and Maven, stuck there because of a curse from a witch named Narina. That was where the fairy tale comparisons came to an end. There was no kiss of true love to make it better, no magic spells or fairies to protect her. No, instead Cress had a body struck by an incurable illness, her magic came in the form of oxygen tubes and colorful pill cocktails. No, there was no such thing as magic, only science.

Nee reminded her to drink water and so Shiro had a few sips of that too, mostly full from cake and bubbly. Ellis's face had gotten dirty, but Shiro thought that he liked the cake too and Nee said that she enjoyed it and she was sure the others did. "I wish that we could eat spidercakes all the time." Shiro admitted, crunching on one of the sugar decorations. It was sticky and got stuck between her teeth but it left a sweet flavor and the sucking motion reminded her of the pacifier, which made Shiro calm for a few moments until Nee mentioned dancing. "I bet you're the best dancer Nee," Shiro smiled, seeming to glitter. "You're the best at everything!"

Shiro stood and placed Ellis on her throne. "Stay here," she said and gave him a light tap on the head to know that she'd be coming back. Nee took her hand then and led Shiro to the dance floor. Right now there was no one dancing but almost as soon as they stepped foot onto the floor, the music, a nice slow song, began to play a bit louder. The orchestra played from spunky looking instruments that were unique to Ashia Palace. Shiro had Nee help her pick out which ones would work best for tonight and the four piece quartet so far had done a lovely job.

There were cameras watching them as Nee tried to show Shiro how to dance. Thankfully, the dressmaker had the foresight to cut the cape an inch or two above the floor so that Shiro wouldn't be tripping over it all night. Nee's hands were around her waist and there was a slight blush on Shiro's cheeks as Nee guided her to teach Shiro the dance. There were cameras trained on them, news stations watching the tender moment between the intended. Narina had never had moments like this, during her parties, she had always sat atop her throne and watched the audience with that all-knowing-smile. These two were different though, they had something that Narina didn't and that was going to allow them to succeed.

Love.
