Standing a bit taller than many adult women and possessing a set of sharp, mature facial features and typically wearing a rather serious expression, Sera can somtimes comes across as a bit of an intimidating figure. Personality:
{Loyal, Laid-back, Just, Determined, Curious, Distant}
Much like her sense of humor, Sera often comes across as a dry sort of person. Typically relaxed and rarely excited or over-active Sera is a very mellow and logical sort who takes both her work and her play seriously. With a strong set of ideals Sera is rarely the type to bend to others and is someone who isn't afraid to express her honest opinions and thoughts, when she's set her mind to something she won't back down. Befitting her nature as a wizard Sera possesses a strong thirst for knowledge and insights into the unknown and often finds herself following up on even minor curiosities to satisfy her desire to know more about the things around her. When in her more playful moods she wears her trademark smirk and typically expresses this mood by poking at others and seeing the sort of reactions she can get, though it's usually harmless and all in the name of a bit of fun. Lastly she rarely entangles herself emotionally with others and prefers to keep most people at a distance that doesn't get much closer than friendly.

Likes/Loves:
  • Retro video games
  • Coffee
  • Knowledge and books
  • Wine
  • Smoking
  • Glasses
Dislikes/Hates:
  • Strong perfumes
  • Overly sweet foods
  • Loud people & places
  • Injustice
  • Failure
Strengths:
  • Magic || Obviously, as a wizard Sera wields power over the arcane forces of magic. With her life spent dedicated to the subject she has a wealth of experience and knowledge, practical and theoretical, on the subject and practice of magic. From artifice and alchemy to conjuration and transmutation, Sera is a bonafide expert on all things magical.
  • Serfumpt || Also known as "Fume" or "that annoying puff of smoke", Fume is Sera's one and only familiar. Put simply, he is a sentient cloud of smoke with a wise attitude and an impressive lack of tact. Fume is summoned when Sera lights up a cigarette and whispers a particular arcane utterance.
  • Runes of Red || A vin Ristran specialty, Sera's body is covered in invisible magic runes that can be activated to reinforce her body with exceptional enhancement magics, granting her inhuman levels of speed and strength. When active these runes take on their namesake form and are visible as deep red markings all across her body.
  • Unshakable || Sera is mentally tough and resilient. It's quite hard to get under her skin or to dissuade her when she's set on a particular course of action.
Weaknesses:
  • Justice || Sera's strong sense of justice can sometimes make her predictable or more easily manipulated by those aware of this tendency.
  • Smoking || In addition to the addiction she's developed, without a source of tobacco or certain Noraneko herbs she is unable to summon her familiar Fume.
  • Knowledge || The promise of knowledge is a very tempting one for Sera and is one of the few things that will lead her to do more questionable things and muddy her usually high moral standards. Much like her family before her Sera is selfish and secretive when it comes to knowledge.

They had a plan, once through the tunnel, Heron took out a pair of handcuffs she had slipped from one of the Knights at the gate. "Ready?" She asked and cuffed Cress's arms behind her, then her legs. She couldn't move anyways since the the color was active for another hour. "No," Cress murmured, very certain that this was likely the only way they would be able to rescue Kora. She sighed as Heron picked her back up and threw Cress over her shoulder to make it look more believable. They walked in silence for a minute or two before Cress groaned, her stomach was gnawing at itself from the hunger of having skipped dinner. "I'll have Nio-" she stopped, Heron having realized that Nio couldn't make them something to eat because the girl was hiding in the rubble tier with Maven and Corren who were their only chance of bringing the catatonic girl

"I'm sorry," Cress said quietly, biting on her bottom lip in frustration. "If only we'd gotten to her sooner. Then maybe..." Cress trailed off and they were in silence once more. "It's not your fault," Heron finally said with a sigh. "I don't think Xion did it either though, something is fishy." What reason did Ani have to live though? "By now Strauss will be on our side, right?" She felt Heron stiffen. "That wasn't the plan," she said quickly, quietly. "What do you mean? That's what Ellie inferred about taking care of him, she was trying to get him on our side." Cress felt her heart beating rapidly, that was it. Right? That had to be it!

"The plan was to kill him." Kill him? In cold blood? If Cress could move, no doubt she would have slapped her for saying something so utterly ridiculous. Cress laughed, it was short and almost silent, but enough for Heron to hear. "Ellie isn't a killer," she smiled, consoling herself. Heron waited a long moment before answering, "The plan was to kill him." She said again, slower this time so that the words could sink in. Kill him. That meant blood, a body. Cress made threats to kill people all the time but she never actually made good on her promises to murder. Cress wasn't a killer, she was someone who believed in the value of all life, no matter how small.

They reached the front door, Heron knocked. She shuffled, trying to look confident despite the blood and the fact that her knight uniform was a bit torn. Itward opened it, almost looking surprised. "I've changed my mind," she dumped Cress at his feet. She had already apologized for anything she did in advance. "The rebels are a losing team, I'll be your pawn and to prove it, I've brought you one of them." She grinned, kicking Cress in the ribs. "Normally, I'd protect all beautiful women but the rebels are scum." She pushed one of her boots into the side of Cress's face, forcing her head onto the floor. Itward seemed to consider it, then he had one of his servants take Cress to a different room, his bedroom. He didn't have Nio anymore, but he still had his other servants, all augmented to look like animals.

"Glad to see you've seen sense little sister." He said and led Heron into the room where the plans were, where Kora was. Cress in the meantime was getting cleaned up, she felt anxiety creeping up on her as she was blind folded and tied up, her long silvery hair brushed out, the fur on her tail and ears fluffed. She had to stay calm though, even with the rapidly beating heart, even with the terrible sense of dread picking up in her body.

Perhaps an hour later, Finnley returned. The glass door shut behind him, blending seamlessly into the rest of the box. "Shiro," he said gently, nudging her into wakefulness. He had a burn mark on his neck from where the collar had shocked him. It was now his job to get the puppy back into shape so that she was fit to serve Narcia once she quit her foolishness and returned back to the castle where she belonged. The anxiety medicine seemed to have worked, Shiro's eyes were a bit dull, but when she spoke there wasn't a stutter. "No more punishment," Finnley tried to soothe her, he scratched behind her ears and led her over to a little table. She brought Ellis with her of course and didn't let go. "It's time for dinner, then you can go back to sleep, I promise." He smiled comfortingly. "No one's going to punish you."

"Not hungry," she replied, her voice small and meek. "I know, but you have to try. Your body can't fight the fever without any energy," Finnley said gently. He put a spoon in her hand, but all Shiro did was look at it. She stared at the food on the silver platter before her. She put the spoon down, "Not hungry." She said again, "sleepy." she wanted to go back to bed, but she wasn't allowed. Finnley picked up the spoon, scooping some mashed potatoes on it. "Here comes the train," he said with a gentle smile, using the sort of technique one would on children.

Shiro didn't open and so he sighed. "Come on Shiro," he pulled her into his lip, ensuring she still had her puppy to hold onto if she wanted it. He placed two fingers in her mouth, prying her jaw open and putting the spoon in. She didn't resist, but she didn't swallow either. "Shiro, swallow." He tapped her cheek gently and she looked up at him blankly. Okay, maybe anxiety medicine wasn't the best way to go about this. It was a shortcut and nothing in life was ever achieved by using shortcuts. He picked up a cup and put it to her lips, at least she'd drink the tea. He sighed, the Queen wouldn't be happy about this at all. "Can you please just take two bites?" He didn't want to, he really didn't, but he said those words and as soon as he did he regretted it. "Or you'll be punished."

She began to shake, her entire body trembling. "No," her eyes became full of fear, she swallowed what she had in her mouth and she pushed herself into a ball. "No, no more. I'm a good girl." Maybe this was the key to it then. "Good girl's eat their dinner," she turned to the tray, trying to scoop something onto it but her hands were shaking so much that the food fell back off. So Finnley spoon fed her, cleaning her up afterwards with a warm washcloth and tucking her back into bed. "You were a good girl, a very good girl." He smiled soothingly, feeling exhausted himself. He still had work to do though, he had to secure safe passage for Heron across the lake. No doubt she'd want Nio to go with her too, if the red haired knight could find her.

Shiro watched as Finnley knelt beside the bed, leaning his head back. "Just a few minutes," he promised himself, closing his eyes. Shiro slid onto the floor, off of the bed and put her head in his lap, then dragged his hand to put it on top of her head. Yes, it felt much more comfortable like that. She shivered at the pleasure of having her ears scritched and wish it were the Princess doing it, not Finnley.
