Ryker Shield's Story

Ryker Awoke in a Forest Beside a Pasture to see his Shirt removed. He sighed, trying to stand he Quickly fell weakly to the Ground.
What the Hell? He thought as he Tried to Stand once more. Even with his Efforts he Stood with Little Success and could only stand it seemed.

Like a Flood hitting a Wall, Ryker's Sense of Smell, Taste, and Touch Returned. His nostrils were met by By the Feel of Chilli and Moist air as he took a nice big breath of fresh air. Without Noticing it, Standing became Madly easier to stand than before. Not long after, he was met by a Reassuring rain drop dropping onto his Scar. Nothing happened to the Rain drop but the Splatter of its self onto his Skin.
Ryker was warmly Embraced by the new World and walked out into the Rain enjoying every drop that Touched his Skin.

" OVER THERE LOOK!" Ryker's happy moment was Broken by a Voice that Erupted from out in the Pasteur. His eyes shot to where the voice came from. " QUICKLY KILL IT " Wait. What? Ryker couldn't believe his ears. The People wanted to kill him? Ryker fell into a Panic and quickly Turned and Bolted off into a Sprint. His throat was Dry and the Rain beat his Skin as he Ran away from the People. Why would they want to kill ME? His thoughts Vanished as he Swerved around trees, Over rocks, and Through Bushes.
Being Ryker he didn't stop when he couldn't see them, Nooooo that would be to Easy, Ryker continued Sprinting through the forest without looking back.

Ryker Leaped through one more Bush and Almost into a Girl. He had Moved as Fast as he could to try not to hit Shakiya but still Grazed her and Knocked her onto the Ground beside him. "I"m so Sorry" Ryker Said Getting up off the Ground Quickly and Sticking a Hand out for the Girl to take. Upon Ryker sticking his hand out to help Shakiya, his Purple Jade like Eyes Noticed Her Strange Animal ears. Her Ears brought a Confused Smile to his face, whilst his hand Remained extended out for the Girl to take to help her Get up.

she let out a low farel growl as she hit the ground the cut bleeding more from the stones and sticks that she fell apon she pondered weather or not to kill him but desided that it wouldent be wise for the human to find a human dody she dident take his hand as she slowly stode up her " watch were your going " she snarled her dog llike ears twichinging back and forth befor she could notic an thing more about him her head snaped to the side as she heard the sound of foot steps comeing in one swift move she swept his feet out from under him pushing him in to the bushes opening the cut a bit more the sent of blood thick in the air " stay down and be quite" she sead the sent of her blood would mask his sent she couldent help but think his clothing strange her atention was turnd back to ahead of her she couldent tell if it was human or demon aproching

" watch where your going " The girl said Standing up with out Ryker's helping hand. He nodded bringing his hand back to his Side with a cold gust hitting his Topless Body. Shakiya's ears Twitched and his Smile faded. "Y-" Ryker was cut short by his feet getting kicked out from under him and into a Bush. He wasn't hurt But once more was Silenced by The girl " stay down and be quite " Ryker Rolled back over to face the girl and saw her Bleeding Quite a Bit. If I had my shirt still I'd be able to make a Temporary Band aid, to keep pressure. He sighed after the thought passed his mind. WAIT? Why the hell am I so damn Calm?! This girls Bleeding from her side...And IM CALM?

The men Ryker was being chased by earlier, Ran up the path to just before them. "COME ON IT'S AROUND IT SOMEWHERE!" The leader seemed to shout as they Started back forward down the path. Ryker suddenly felt his Shoulder throb and he Turned to look at it Immediately. His Scar, It was Blue again. There was the Girls blood on it for a Moment, and then It seemed to start Disappearing Nothing. In no less than a Second It had Done something with all the Blood and now it was all gone and the Blue was Fading away. WHAT IN THE HELL IS WRONG WITH ME? He finished the thought and the Scar was Normal Once more. Ryker sighed and Looked back at Shakiya, Sympathetically for her wound.

The Men were now out of sight it seemed but, Ryker stayed Down waiting for Shakiya's Permission to stand up.

she watched for a second the crouched low like a silent hunter she moved twords them fallowing slowly her movements slow and steady she was going to scare them good she hide in a bush and let out a long drawn out woulf howl she smirked changeing her voice to sound vary crule and demonic "lets eat them " she smirked changing her voice and trowing it so the ssound would come from another place close by "yes lets" the men would her laughing comeing from difrent places as she staed low watching

"lets eat them" The girls voice was completely different than the one before as she Crept closer to them. What in the hell is going on here?! His voice raged in his head as he followed the girl by Crawling. "yes lets" Another voice chimed in as she moved her lips. Voice projection? Ryker was Confused, Lost, and a Little scared himself. Then Laughing poured out from all directions and Ryker froze in place as Shakiya Stopped moving.

"THERE'S TO MANY DEMONS! RETREAT! RETREAT!" Conflicting voices Exploded from the men as they Scattered into the forest back towards the Pasture. One dropped his Sword on the Path and ran off Screaming like a Child. Ryker found this a little amusing as he pieced together the puzzle. She must had Projected her voice and-Oh God...They... They said Demon Didn't they? Dear lord. The sword hit the ground making a high pitched *Tinnnnng* And that's a Sword...Not a Gun... By the time Ryker figured this all out the Men had vanished like a Magic trick and the Girl seemed to be happy with herself.

Ryker broke the Uneasy Silence with a Question. "W-Where am I" His voice.. It seemed Empty of Emotion but he had Stuttered in The beginning.

"hell" she sead smileing a bit forgeting about the pain as she slowly came from under the bush she breathed slowly speaking more serusoul " your in a forest in the midle of know were" she looked back at him " i take it your not from around here" she said putting her hand back under her rib cage the rain fely good agenst her skin as she looked to him rasing her eye brow a bit looking him over she moved slowly over to the sword picking it up and tosing it to him it landing just befor his feet " youllneed this if your to live trew the night unless you find normal human clouths" she stagerd a bit growing dizy but she dident say any thing not wanting to seem weak

"Hell" Well I can see that! Ryker thought once more watching her for a Serious answer. " your in a forest in the middle of no where" YOU DON'T SAY?! So many mean comments formed in his head but one could not Be rude when someones answering questions for them. "I take it your not from around here" Ryker nodded at her as she tosses a Sword to him. "You'll need this if your to live through the night unless you find normal human Clothing" Ryker bent down picking up the sword Faking a Grin as he came back up to face Shakiya. " These are Normal Human Clothes Where I come from. Well... You know I would have a Shirt but... " He joked when Shakiya Staggered. Quickly after seeing her Stagger He Put the Short Sword into his Pants On his Right side at his waist. Luckily Ryker Had his Boxers on so the Metal didn't touch much of his Skin and the Guards for the Sword Rested On the outside of his Pants Holding the Sword up. He ran to her Side Looking into her Sliver Blue eyes. "Are you Okay to walk?" The blood was Seeping through her Clothing making it obvious she'd lost a lot of blood.

She said Normal HUMAN clothes... He was Still a Little Scared but he looked worried for the girl above all.

the rain fell harder drounding out almost any other sounds as tunder cracked and lightning lite the sky she glanced up at the inclement weather getting back to her cave would not be easy she growled a bit shaking her head as she watched him pick up the sword and then anser her statment about the clouthing she blinked a little bit just as confused about him as he was of her she was to stubern to oenly exept the help of a human "ill be ok" she sead taking her eyes from his as she dident make eye contact with him not trying to show weakness or the fact that the pain was nearly overwelming shaking of what she could of the pain
she turned and begain walking on a barly visable foot path it seemed to twist and turn nearly going on for what seemed like forever up twords a large old tree by this point she was out of it her body more of on auto pilot she may not have even know if he had fallowed her or not the trees once sharp slowl begain to fade in her vison the rain making the slope sliper and hard for her to balance on up ahead amongst a pile of rubble and down roted trees thair seemed to be a cave set back in the hillside the world begain to spin as she lost her balance as she yelped as she fell her her hands clawed at the mud beneth her as she tryed to stand her hands and knees giveing out when she hit the mudd she also lost consesnes

"I'll be okay" Ryker nodded back once more and directed his eyes away. The girl started walking out on her own down a small path. Thunder and Lightning Roared louder in the Sky, while the rain Pounded the Dirt turning it to mud. Ryker was Following her down the entire path, he had to almost Squint to see her half the time. When Suddenly Shakiya Vanished. "Where'd you get to?" The rain beat down on Ryker as he Searched around and Almost Slipped on the Slope himself. Damn it He thought looking down and round knowing she might had Slipped. As He moved his Feet down the Muddy Slope slowly he started feeling Molded Mud.

"DAMMMMMN" Ryker Shouted, Slipping down the Slope on his Feet to the Bottom. Ryker hit a Rock that acted as a Mini trampoline bouncing him off the ground a Bit. Ryker was Dazed and a Bit confused when he found himself beside Shakiya once more, on the ground. Ryker stood up With Great difficulty as he Slipped in slid around in the mud unintentionally. "Come on. Get up" He shouted over the Raging storm, being met with no Response from Shakiya. Quickly he Adjusted his Blade And bent down Picking the girl up into his Arms. Just a Little heavier than The Bully Ganago His thoughts passed with the Thunder Striking the air once more. He grunted slightly upon picking her up, and Almost lost his Shoe to the mud but managed to get her into his Arms and On a Walking pace towards a Glowing cave.

Ryker finally reached the cave, noting the Glow was coming from Mushrooms and Firefly like creatures. "It'll due for tonight." He announced out loud. The blood Swept Shakiya was Placed Gently Down against the Wall. When his Shoulder started Throbbed at a Swift pace.
It didn't burn like before, this Time it was Soothing and With a Soft Blue glow from his Scar that even Attracted the sight of the Fireflies. Drowsy, Is The only word that Ryker Could use to describe how he felt.

His eyes started to feel heavy as the firefly lights Dissipated and the Mushroom glow Faded to a lighter Indigo like color.
The world Went BLACK, for Ryker as he Fell into a Sleep. He began Dreaming within Minutes.
It was Pitch Black, Nothing other than Himself Could be seen By Ryker, Then a Voice. "Heeeellllllllllllllllooo?" The Feminine voice loomed out of everywhere. "Whaaats Wronng? Cat got Youuur Tongue? " Ryker wanted to snap back at the voice, but his body.. It was frozen, his everything, it was all frozen. " Weeeeell if you wont come toooo meeee.... Theeeen I'll commmme to yoooou!" Out of the blue a Light shone through the Darkness and his scar Illuminated another Blue light from which grew brighter as the Light got closer but didn't touch anything or anyone. Only the Light was moving towards him and he was frozen.
"Yooou still don't reeemember? How Saaad." The light was Set in motion as it drew closer and Closer until his Scar was a Big Bright Blue light, like the voice's. Their light touched and Ryker's dream stopped, Ryker remained sleeping but The dream stopped and he was just Resting now.

Ryker shed a Tear in his Sleep, and Now laid on the Ground Sleeping Peacfully.

she woke up slowly sitting up as she winced in pain she was covered in her own blood and mudd it would seem that the dirt had helped seal the wound and stopped her from bleeding out every thing was blury to her in the back of the cave was a small bed she had made out of grasses and such she moved getting up to her feet as she walked past him slowly striping on her kimono top reveling her upper body her pail skin and her medum sized but ample breasts as she slowly turned in a way she could see the cut it would stay closed by she wouldent be able to fight

Ryker woke up....Facing the Stone Cave wall. Thats just great, Another weird dream. As he sat up he heard the Cracking of his Back and his Achilles Heels Sore. He rubbed his eyes a little before having Yesterdays events recognized as a memory to him. For some reason it didn't shock him, it was almost a Relief to have Disappeared from The fight. "Aghhhh" He stretched out his Arms as he Stood up off the ground. His hair was Messy and His body Scratched from yesterdays events. " Damn it " He muttered out loud from the Pain his Achilles heels.

Ryker started turning around only to Notice and Blush a Bright BRIGHT Red. The girl he Knocked over Was Topless Behind him and he Didn't realize until he Saw half of Her Right Breast while she was Examining her Wound. Without thinking he Turned towards the Exit and Started forward. I wasn't even Acting like myself Yesterday and now I wake up somewhere turning around to find a Girl Topless........ Woah.

she looked over at ryker and blinked a bit " you dont have to leave if your lost" she seas as she paused turning her back to him and continued cleaning her cut " some times if your lost it best to stay put or learn the area" she sead slipping on her kimono top agen she hadent meant to embarrass him it just sorta happened she sat down on the bed afterwords looking at him " if you go wandering of something may kill you" she sead in a vague gesture twords the village her dog like ears twiched as she brushed some of the mudd of her face she was indespret need of a bath but shed take care of that later she looked back up to him " were did you come from?"

Ryker stopped at the Exit of the Cave and Thought about what Shakiya was saying. She's Right I should Stay put for now. She's probably my only hope to Getting Home. Something? She did say SomeTHING right? Where am I?
"Where did you come from?" Ryker was Hesitant to Proceed with his answer but answered none the less " Canada, Nova Scotia. " Ryker finally said after a Brief Pause. "I was Wondering if you could tell me where I am and Your name Possibly." Ryker was going back to being a shy Person. I shouldn't be that Surprised, I did only learn that She's a Demon and im in sort of a medieval time era. Maybe it's for the better. I really didn't belong there. But still... This might just be Someone's Stupid idea of a Pr- No one has enough money to make this happen....best I can do now Is know where I am and make the best of it right? Ryker was Self conflicted and Now more confused than even and His life was most likely in the hands of this Girl he had his back to.

He chuckled a bit before saying more. "I mean I don't even Know how I got here. Isn't that the Best?" He was obviously being sarcastic with his little knowledge of this world. Sheepishly he sat down looking out of the cave. It was a nice day, Sun revealing itself, Fairly Hot temperature wise, Gentle breeze it was Beautiful.

"i dont know were that is" she paused biteing her lip something about how sad he looked hit a nerv that she would have left hidden she moved to him siting beside him wincing and taking a deep breath trying to ignor the burning him her side "my name is shakiya" she sead softly the wind lightly making the fur on her dog like ears move " im a bit lost my self " she sead thinking back to how insane the past few mounths had been " every tings changed sence i awoke it old sents evan the land has changed" she sead looking to him " it seems were both lost" she sighed she couldent remember much of her past bits and piceces but much of it was evan a mistory to her she looked over to him agen " your the first human that hasent wanted to kill me" her voice came out as a bit bitter and anoyed but it also seemed to be the way of things around here

Well that's perfect.. We're both lost and Probably Weak. "Your the first human that hasn't wanted to kill me" Well now I know there's Humans and Demons... I guess im learning something. "Well im sorry Shakiya that I don't want to kill you, but Uh my Names Ryker." He said joking in the beginning. "And Guess what? Your the First Person who hasn't wanted to kill me yet either." He was still joking. " I gotta Say, Yesterday... with those People, you almost Scared me when you did It. It's a very Impressive trick." Ryker looked over Smiling at her, But his Eyes Occasionally bounced back up at her ears. Quickly he stopped looking at her Ears and Returned his view to the Forest Sheepishly. This is all so Weird and Still Unexplained...I don't even know how im not making a Complete fool Of myself. Wait when did she even get beside me? What ever, it's not like she's trying to kill me so it doesn't matter. maybe she.... What am I thinking? I mustn't think about something like that at a time like this.

Ryker was Staring out into the Forest when a Tree fell over making a Loud snapping sound in the Distance. He swallowed the Saliva in his mouth and Tilted his Head a bit. "What Exactly were you talking about earlier when you Said Something may kill me?" His face was Straight and The loud Sounds were getting closer as his Hand Slipped from beside him to the Hilt of the Sword he had.

all i did is something bards ann thow who want to speak to a large group of people do the monks whom rased me taught nme that when i was small because of how big the temple was" she let out a warm laugh at his humer it was good to here some one joke she stoped suddenly just befor the tree fell she jumped up to standing wincing a bit when the tree fell the quite of the moment broken in to hundreds of peices she looked to him "demons spirtes that sort of thing" she sead her voice now barly above a wisper she swallowed hard her ears perking more as she lisened her ears better then his she sniffed at the air wsteping fowerd a bit to the eadge of the cave looking out twords the sound her whole body tense with the humans she had been relaxed and calm when dealing with it

"Demons sprites that sort of thing" That's Reassuring Ryker thought. He was Intrigued by Shakiya's Past but didn't want to comment on it.

The world seemed to stop moving for a moment and then The trees started falling in a Direction directed towards where the Human Warriors Were. "What ever it is. It's big." He was Referencing to the Demon who was Cutting through the Forest, But he Spoke in his Regular Voice. The Demons Pace Increased as it got closer to where the People were posted in the pasture. "They don't stand a Chance do they?" Ryker said with pity in his Voice as he stood up. Shakiya's Ears were perked Right up again and he couldn't help but to look at them and Examine them. They almost look like.... Dog ears.

she let out a low snarled her eyes lighting up almost flashing red " stay out of the way and dont die " she hunched slightly her side burning she sead taking off at speeds not posible for a human he was right thay wouldent stand a chance her hand went to her side she new people would die today but atlest maybe she could keep some alive she knew ryker would fallow he so she had to act fast she may be able to bring it down or wound it her ears back she was covering quite a bit of ground her ears perking up as she pushed trew the tree line the torns taring at her skin a bit the demon would be able to smell her blood makeing her more of a target to her she moved pusting trew the tree line in to the paster the bright light hitting her eyes it burned

"Stay out of the way and Don't die" Was all that was Said Before Shakiya Dissipated into the Distance chasing the Demon. That's reassuring...I was TOLD NOT to Die. Back home it was usually the other way. Ryker was Actually in awe of her personality and Behavior, She said that Humans always wanted to kill her and yet she's going to their Rescue? It was Truly Heroic or even amazing that she decided to be the bigger person. Quickly he shook his head and CHARGED down the through the forest once more attempting to avoid any and Every obstacle in his way.

The Demon was a Snake like Creature with massive potential and Speed. Keeping that in mind the Opponent for Shakiya had Strong skin. Could Shed it's skin at any point, was Obviously Big, Able to attack From many Directions at once and that's not including the Possibility that it could have Venous fangs this thing is Truly a Monster Worth Fighting. It was Dark green and Black.
Quickly Chua The Serpent's attention was Drawn to Shakiya by her Smell that Was fairly strong with the Weakness of her Smelling like Dirt too. So the Demon Started forward back into the Forest heading straight for Shakiya. "YOU DARE OPPOSE ME? I'LL KILL YOU FOR THAT YOU WEAK. INSIGNIFICANT. USELESS HALF BLOOD!" It was the Voice of a Female No doubt about it, but the voice it sounded Hungry or possibly Thirsty. The point of this matter being Snakes, Generally can't see very well and go off of Smell, from there it tastes the Air by Flickering it tongue out to smell. In short It's weak spot would be it's tongue, Cut that off it can't track you and will go off of what little vision it has.

hearing the demon coming tword her smiles a bit this demon was in her doman she bit down hard on her hand letting her fangs sink in to her soft flesh blood welling up in to her mouth as sh lightly riped up more blood flowling as she flung her hand out spraing blood on the trees around her spreading her sent she did this in a few places around her rather quick then stode still standing right in the middle of the path she had herd the demons voice and shouted " COME TAKE ME IF YOU CAN YOU BITCH " her words dripping like vemon her eye almost a blood red an almost sadistic smile on her lips as she let the anger the fear the pain well up in side her and it was soon overwelmed with the need to hurt and kill she may have been just a half blood but like hell she was going to let a glorified pair of boots mock her
the world around her went silen as she did her best to stay as in control of her self as possibly thair were people near by inosent children and this knew human whom she had decided for some reason to protect she couldent afford to lose her eye looked up at the oncoming beast as she heled her ground looking at the snake with utter defiance

"BITCH? YOU JUST CALLED ME A BITCH? TRY TO SAY WHEN YOUR CRUSHED IN TO PIECES" Chua Snarled back at Shakiya. Quickly it's Tongue flickered out of it's mouth. "That wont work you stupid Bitch." She was Calm as there was the sound of a Tree cracking behind Shakiya. It was a Sneak attack from behind using it's Body it had threw it's body towards Shakiya Which could Either Crush her if she didn't move or Hurt her if she wasn't fast enough.

Ryker ran right passed the Two of them, If anything I'd best warn the people about whats happening. he Thought dodging even more Problems and Debris. He'd Quickly made it to the pasture and saw a group of Soldiers Running towards him. "WRONG WAY." Ryker huffed out of breath from his Sprint. "MOVE DEMON. WE'RE NOT HERE FOR YOU!" "I REALIZE THAT BUT IF YOU GO IN THERE WHERE MY FRIEND IS FIGHTING THE HUGE DEMON, YOU COULD GET HURT OR WORSE. IF THINK OF YOUR FAMILY'S AND FRIENDS. MY FRIENDS HANDLING IT THEN YOU HAVE NO NEED TO FIGHT SO JUST RETURN TO YOUR VILLAGE OR TOWN OR...DAMN IT JUST GO BACK TO YOUR HOMES. OR ILL KILL YOU MYSELF!" It's better if they think im a Demon for now anyways. Whispers amongst the group occurred for a Moment and All but one of them left.

"THAT THING KILLED MY FAMILY! SO YOU'LL HAVE TO KILL ME, BEFORE I EVEN THINK ABOUT STOPPING!" Dexter Yelled to the Heavens as he Started his Approach, Sword ready for Combat. I'm screwed Ryker thought as he Pulled out his Sword and stood ready for Dexter.

The body piece pulled past Shakiya because of her Daring stunt and into it. "YOU'LL PAY FOR THAT." The blood landed all over Chua's face in a Sort of Splatter allowing it to keep track of Shakiya still because of her Strong Scent of Blood. Quickly it moved it's body to behind it and charged at Shakiya as fast as it could, Gaining even more speed for the more time passed. "I'M SORRY IT HAS TO END, BUT YOU'VE ANNOYED ME AND MY DINNERS GETTING COLD!" It's advance didn't slow it only gained speed, it was basically becoming a Drill to cut through what ever it pleased.



"THEN SO BE IT!" Ryker yelled right before their swords clashed. She'd better kill that thing soon or I'll be Dea- His train of thought was lost by Dexter's Sword Rapidly clashing with his own. He stopped thinking and Just started watching his Sword and where it was going. Left, Right, Right, Right, Left, This Dexter was Attacking with all his Two handed strength and Ryker was just trying to block the attacks."WHATS WRONG? CAT GOT YOUR TONGUE? I THOUGHT YOU SAID YOU'D KILL ME? SEEMS LIKE I'LL BE THE ONE KILLING YOU." Dexter's smile was Sickening. He seemed to be enjoying this like it was Fishing and Catching your first fish.

Ryker quickly caught that Dexter Came from his Right more than his left and left small openings on his Big thrusts. Then and there Dexter Made a Big Thrust knocking through Ryker's defense Grazing his Cheek and Drawing Blood. Without thinking Ryker Let go of his Sword with his Right hand and Brought his Hand up From underneath Dexter's Elbow Throwing it into the Air allowing Ryker to one hand his sword Stepping into a Slice, Cutting Dexter's Thigh open and Leaving the Blade in He backed away slowly.

A grunt from pain and a Painful Expression was on his face as he stood standing trying to force his Sword down into Ryker's shoulder. "JUST, GIVE, UP! Your leg is Already hurt and your still carrying on like this? Just kneel I'm not going to Kill you! I'll even say you showed me Mercy and By the time you got to the Demon it was Dead." "I....Won't...GIVE UP!" In a Flash the Blade Dexter Was holding was Upside down being held two handed and in Ryker's Shoulder. When Ryker's hands Left Dexter's Arm He collapsed onto the ground with a Hard *THUMP* Only aiding the Blade in his Thigh by Pushing it in a Little more. He grunted More on the ground Trying to get up but couldn't even Crawl. Ryker then Fell to the Ground backwards like a Trust fall onto his back with another *THUMP* They both laid Staring up at the Sky and the Clouds as they passed Gracefully. Ryker made a Little chuckle to a Thought I fought well enough to Damage his Thigh and it's only my Third time with Sword play.

"YOU BITCH WHAT DID YOU DO???" Chua Tried to Break the Barrier by whipping it with her tail but it Burned it To the bone. "AGHHHHH!" It screamed as it's tails Tough skin was no more and instead was left with a Stubbed bone. "MY BEAUTIFUL TAIL!" Her body Trembled as she Lifter what remained of her tail up to her to See closer. "My poor tail." Chua Mopped looking past her Tail at Shakiya who sat against a Tree. "IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT! I'LL KILL YOU AND EAT YOU." Chua tried to move her body without burning it but it was like trying to Solve a Rubix cube that was Played with by 4 Kinder gardeners. In short, she was Stuck, Trapped even, being teased by the smell of her Preys Blood.


"Not being rude but your the one who got in MY way." Dexter was Determined to Go kill the Demon but couldn't move.
