The TVWS Crusader was one of the smaller types of Jumpship available to commercial users; a long sleek hull with relatively few armaments, two dropship bays, and standard cryo quarters. A capable, well rounded vessel for almost anything- just like most Corporate designs, just on a smaller scale.

Two weeks out from Ammad the ship's revival crews had gotten the several hundred crew and fighting units up and awake, ready to roll themselves out of Cryo and into their revival exercises. A week later, they were all well fed and as fit as they were likely to be for the coming battles.

Once the ship had entered into high orbit of Ammad, the commanders of each unit were called into session with the Operation Commander; instructed to bring their closest attaches and second-in-commands, and that's it. Presiding over the briefing was the Liason for the Templar Vanguard, Alwyn Rocha. The Captain-Commander had not arrived yet, but Alwyn's red, cat-like eyes scanned the briefing room waiting for the various leaders and listeners of the briefing to arrive.

The room itself is rather simple- a long table with about twenty chairs along the sides, with two at the very end, one of which Alwyn occupies.

When the revival crew came Fintan hopped out of the tube, dressed with the offered jumpsuit, then left for exercises while a lot of the pups were still figuring out if they had any lunch the floor needed. There were few more veterans like himself and they just nodded awareness at each other. Fresh out of a tube if you had sense you knew those with an iron-eyed purpose when you saw them. He remarked with a grin to one about the pungent odor, "Smells like new machinery in here!" The man just laughed with a feral grin. Fintan figured him for the crazy eyes of a veteran point man. The lurching stomach was something you just got used to and practice just made their fast walks slightly drunken. The revival crew barely looked over when they walked past to get ready the list of people that would come out first was always fairly short.

Fintan didn't do as much as he used to just enough to be fit and keep his endurance. That need for bulk was something he left behind long ago. Didn't beat the pups on weight but they complained about him never getting tired. Sleep, eat, practice, read, eat, and repeat. The first he didn't need as much of anymore but the pups didn't need to know that. The cryo atrophy was something you burned out of your head with hard work.

Once the meeting was called Fintan had already been knee deep assisting engineering. He traded his protective jumpsuit for a comfortable leather jacket and some heavy pants then left for the meeting. A practical sort he sat at a few seats in closest to the door. Close enough to get time for cover and still close enough to flee. You do the job long enough you learn to keep your back away from windows even on vacation. Potshots at logistics got you rightfully paranoid after a tour or two. Technical manual in one hand Fintan groomed his hair and beard with a pocket kit using the other while waiting or others to arrive. No need to bother Alwyn with meaningless pleasantries until everyone showed up.

It had been a long week for revival exercises, after coming out of the freezer they had to get their bodies into shape. Of course while training many soldiers from 'The Regiment Of The Damned' who were part of this mission had some arguing problems. Mostly, who had more kills over the other person. "Please, you think killing 20 men over the stretch of a few days with a pistol in some urban city was anything think again! I killed 21 men in a day, all on some feral jungle planet with just my knife!" "Please, you two better step back. I killed 23 men with just my bare hands, I then killed a feral monster in some death world planet while searching for supplies!" The rowdy men continued to call each other out until it turned into a fist fight.

Of course the Captain of this wonderful regiment sat down drinking a bottle of water, and watched as his men beat eachother up. It was better to let them fight it out, toughen them up a bit. Of course this moment of relative peace was cut short when he retrieved a message to head to the briefing room. With one last swig of water, he tossed the bottle across the room into a trashcan before standing up and walked past his men who were all on the ground unconscious.

Wearing a heavy blue outfit and heavy padded pants, Captain Rook wandered over to the meeting and took an empty seat and did not address himself as he sat down. This was going to be a rather boorish introduction for all of them, their specialties, their numbers, their mission, their rules, whatever the hell they wanted to address. Quite frankly, this was just for the supplies they could obtain.

Lt Briggs was a no nonsense sort of man, who seemed better fit for life behind a desk rather than the front lines. Lanky and squared off the man wore the same uniform as the rest of his Gray lance, the only difference was this officer rank, and distinguished marksmen award worn on his right breast.

Gunny Hawkins, on the other hand, seemed the type of fellow who grew up on the front lines, and was well at home there.
Despite his worn leathery appearance the man gave off a rather elated vibe. He too only wore rank and Distinguished marksmen on his uniform.

The two of them entered the room, the Lt had his arm full with his normal note kit, while the gunny strode quietly behind with a bottle of water. The two took seats across from the gentlemen already sitting at the table, giving polite nods as they waited for their host.

As the newcomers filed into the room, Alwyn's blazing eyes flicked over each of them in turn. First, one of the 'Grey Bastards', a Chief Engineer from that unit. He was favored with a brief smile, but no words. She watched him for a few moments while he industriously groomed himself as if this were a matter of some fascination.

Then the hard Captain Rook marching in with little decorum. Sharp eyes took him in as he settled himself into place, perhaps getting a measure of his capabilities and mannerisms.

Next was Lieutenant Briggs and his attache, settling in and looking as efficiently prepared as the best of them. For all intensive purposes, not a one had paid much mind to Alwyn, but that didn't seem to phase her if anyone noticed.

Lastly was the Commander of the Grey Bastards, Vladimir Mamuka. He was unrushed, quiet, attentive. With nods of acknowledgement to the eyes of those already in the room who might have noticed him, he pulls up a chair next to Fintan.

Then there was silence for a moment as Alwyn's eyes once more scanned over the room and its new occupants, a lightly pleased smile on her face.

"Hello gentlemen," she began at last, her voice smooth and with a slight twinge of some Terran accentuation. "I am pleased to see you all here, and efficiently so." She directed her smile individually towards each of them, and then touched a button on the table. "Captain-Commander, the officers are present." Another moment of silence passed before a door behind the Liason opened, admitting the aforementioned Captain-Commander.

She was startlingly similar in appearance to Alwyn; dark skin, just a little more gaunt from years of war rather than deskwork, curious red, cat-like eyes, and grey hair atop a face that looked much too young for it. Unlike the Liason, Captain-Commander Oischot did not have much of a smile on her face.

She gave each of those present a nod of acknowledgement before moving to the chair next to Alwyn's and sat down, tapping whatever keyboard happened to be attached to the table, and prompting several articles to appear holographically in front of each of the participants.

"I'll make this brief, as I know all of your units are eager to get off my ship. Three months ago the Templar Vanguard was assigned to assist the Kaalikot Arms & Armor Corporation with the capture of a rebelling world, and defense against another corporation." The hologram depicting the planetary surface, its multiple major townships, and the disposition of last-known troops, splashed across their table tops.

"It was going fine until Kaalikot got cold feet and decided to ally with the new invaders rather than push them off. This also would have been fine if they had not immediately betrayed both the new invaders' alliance with them, and our troops, in favor of trying to get on the Rebels' good side. Needless to say, they've made a lot of enemies now." She tapped a few buttons which brought up another display of several units listed M.I.A- a whole Regiments worth.

"Our Templars on the ground were cut off from supplies, and any of us that were left on the Kaalikot ship were either killed or imprisoned. So our mission here is one of revenge, predominantly." The holograms flickered again towards an orbital image of a communications array.

"Your first mission will be the destruction of this communications array. The Corporations don't usually like it when technology is destroyed, and we don't like it when they can see our movements- so it is a win-win. You'll be dropped off in the fields two days north of the base to minimize the chances of our dropship being spotted. Once the communications base is offline, we will be able to bring our warship closer, and thus be able to resupply you."

The Captain-Commander turned her eyes up from the screen she was using to display all of the information, to look over all those present. "Any questions?"

As the last of the group began to show up Fintan put away his manual and grooming kit to different pockets in his jacket. There was virtue in routine for the back field. After cracking half a dozen tanks with screaming heads attached to red jelly while under artillery fire to carefully clean it all out you still need to show up the next day. As well all the days after. His grooming helped put that human wreckage in his mind to peace. As the red cryo dream drains out, Fintan's warm smile and attentive stare to Alwyn didn't need to tread so much water. Soldiers could bathe in blood but an engineering mind needed its humanity with at least a dash of tranquility in spite of the war. Best to keep himself at least a shallow oasis of both for the sake of those around him.

He took in the mission and looked up as she gestured to new data while he looked up what he could find on the munitions the parties in this war would likely use. A haggard mishmash of things on a rebel side to be sure. The mercs would probably add more medium-end merchandise. Who knows what the two corps or templars would have left behind. The salvage at this place would be an inventory buster with the amount of different gear they'd end up finding.

Getting everything running needed a base but getting one thing running? That warranted interest so the warm smile spoke when questions were called, "Chief Engineer Naoise, Liaison Alwyn. This theater has a lot of players on it with varied capabilities. Is it known if there is small-scale communications equipment that could pose a threat after the main communications goes down? Related, what info if any do we have of what kind of back-channels for equipment the rebels may have gotten access to?"

With the last of the officers in the bridge, Rook looked at the other two regiment commanders. It seemed that it was just the three of them, whatever the case the less people means more loot that can be spread between them. Of course, most sane people would think just three squads was a bad idea but he was pretty sure they could easily get the job done.

Their mission went as followed, destroy the communications array and await further orders. Of course an important question came in mind. "In that case what is the enemy packing? An infantry battalion supported by mechanised vehicles? Poorly trained conscripts with high tech rifles? We gotta know what the enemy has and see if we can smoke them without too much trouble. Also what is the planets terrain? We got enough natural cover to not get our heads blown off?"

Both Lt briggs and GySgt Hawkins Stood at attention when the lesion opened the door, but awkwardly sat back down seeing as no one else seemed to take attention of a commanding officer on deck...

Clearing his throat Briggs set to work an outline of the commander's request, as well as a list of questions while Hawkins started jotting down grid cords of various last known contacts and their unit numbers, He’d check their equipment usages with the Quartermaster later to get a sense of what the enemy might have obtained with these folk going dark.

Briggs wrote the number of M.I.A. down and underlined it a few times, a number like that didn’t just happen from i’ll equipped rebels, likely as not these were not some rag-tag back woods raiders… This didn’t bode well at all… Even omitting the betrayal. The fact some allied units had been cut off from reinforcement was disheartening, that and the possibility of a P.O.C situation. Chief Eng.Fintan made asked a rather redundant question, the odds of the command unit ‘knowing’ every possibility of secondary comms was slim to none, unless they had inside information. Tho on the off chance they did know it’d lead to a question Briggs would likely not get a straight answer to.

Captain Rook asked the first and second questions to come to Briggs mind, so he held his peace for the moment, all be it in different words than Briggs might have used, Hawkins maybe.

Briggs added a note under his main mission statement to aid any P.O.C’s within reason.
Waiting for the others to speak, brings half raised a hand to be called on before speaking.

“ Aside from the aforementioned, in the event of encountering P.O.C’s , what should our S.O.P be? Secondly, General R.O.E for that matter? I understand this is more or less a grudge match mission, but are we expected to run a scorched earth campaign?”

Gunny Hawkins nodded in agreement before raising his hand slightly to be called on as well.
“ Do we have any active units on the ground still in contact ? I’d think we'd all like to avoid blue on blue.”

The Captain-Commander turned an eye towards the disturbingly similar looking Liaison, to whom the first question was directed. Neither seemed to find this odd or perturbing; in fact the Liaison met the question with a smile and stood up, allowing the C-C to sit for a moment.

"A pleasure, Chief Engineer. Our intelligence regarding the capabilities of the three major players will be included in the support document that you will receive before launch." Alwyn's feline eyes flickered momentarily. "In specific regards to communication, the Terran Entertainment Corporation provides all of their troops with short and long range communications devices. The main purpose of disabling the communications array is to prevent them from accessing orbital information, such as from satellites and their ship. The chain of communications on the ground will rely on their individual units from that point on, meaning your units will have time to strike and retreat if necessary, provided you do not become surrounded."

Her expression tightened just slightly at mention of the rebels. "Regarding the rebel forces, they have been equipped primarily by a Rogue Trader who is residing in-system. Kaalikot attempted a brief engagement with this ship, but it is considerably armed. It is not currently in-system, having left after the TEC warship was destroyed, and the Kaalikot warship scared off. This is not to say we don't expect more hostile ships to arrive, but the Rebels will be operating with whatever they were left, and whatever they have salvaged- which may be considerable. There are also several arms manufacturing sites on-planet, but their whereabouts and controlling forces are unknown."

With that question answered, Alwyn turned a favorable eye towards Captain Rook. "The full known disposition of enemy forces will be included in the support document. Immediately I can tell you that there are multiple Regiments of various strengths from all parties, most of which have a Mech compliment. The Rebels may not be well trained, but all parties involved will have access to Class III technology. Kaalikot and TEC forces are well trained Corporate units, and the Rebels are known to use ambush tactics."

The planetary map is indicated again and brought up to scale. "Being a Terra-Type world, there are a multitude of climates. You will be getting dropped in a hilly, forested region north of a series of mines. Your initial target is some ways away in a region that is comprised largely of canyons and plateaus. Throughout the mission you should be able to find ways to cover yourselves from hostile attention."

When it came time to field Briggs' questions, Alwyn hesitated a moment and glanced to her counterpart. Understanding perhaps what this meant, the two exchanged positions- Alwyn seating herself and Oischot standing to address the officers; who she gave an appreciative nod, perhaps for the standing protocol they'd observed.

"Any prisoners from Templar Vanguard should be introduced to your unit as fighting units if capable, or as support personnel if not. If they are rendered incapable of performing, ideally you will keep them with your unit until a supply run is possible, where they will be recovered. The Rules of Engagement are fairly standard. Follow your mission parameters and destroy the targets we ask you to. If you find a target of opportunity you may use your best judgement pertaining to its destruction or capture, but," he paused there to gesture towards Alwyn, "Our Liaison will be present to handle any split decisions."

"As to remaining Templars on the field; we hope there are some. Last known intelligence will place their positions for you, but they have been stranded for several months. It is likely that anyone left standing has been forced to relocate."

Then she paused again to look around the room. "Are there any more questions, or are we ready to start loading the dropship?"

Fintan nodded at the Liason since he got the answer he asked for even if it's a mixed blessing. They wouldn't be short the odd part with that much variance lying around. A regiment that might go AWOL might stockpile their valuables in the field hooray for having to fish out shiny oddballs. Corporate always knew who was selling what to whom it was their job after all. All the corps had their own set of booby traps so deep a department of intelligence must keep track of them all. He knew how to find them with some direction on what was in play and the corporation appreciated their discretion. Tank crews didn't appreciate shut downs because some part in their rig went turncoat. The corp 'appreciated' that all the neat stuff he was obligated to take from his techs were packaged and vetted to not burn out in research systems. Fintan took out his dataslate to record the data on the screen as well as his thoughts for the commander.

A note taking space posted to his commander accumulated notes as he listened. The ear to Alwyn added quite a bit to his initial thoughts, "Inventory is going to be oversize with a pile of factions bringing who knows what plugged into who knows where and a rogue trader to fuel yet more nonstandard modifications. Better to assume enemy forces are tinkering with the salvage in production-class facilities which would be extreme-value targets after they lose logistics load from the rogue trader. I think driving the trader out would likely cause disconnected forces to sport a raging hunger for the locations when we pressure the area if they aren't already aiming to be on top of one. I suggest aiming high on storage space wherever we put down stakes the combinations of incompatible tech has a good possibility of piling up until we can dismantle resources from them properly. Once I get the corp capability intel I'll come up with two IED profiles for vetting salvage and level of interest for field units. One with the assumption they've taken at least one factory to make high-value explosives. I'll have to refine it with field data later."

So there were captured manufacturing plants in the field and a lot of spare bits of communication technology in the hands of people that might be used to improvisational rigging. Not to mention all kinds of things might pop up in the field if a whole regiment planned on going awol. Or even if they didn't plan on it that's a whole lot of class III soldiers.

He added another addendum to his notes, "The amount of varied parts and salvage communication equipment doesn't instill in me the greatest of confidence that a hostile force won't be able to resurrect some small-scale form of orbital data. Or that engineers somewhere won't already be working on something for a backup plan if they are of the opinion they might not be able to hold the dish. I'll let the tech know to keep a lookout for the important bits of scaled comms hardware that's already scavenged."

Fintan knew if the commander had something else for him to do he'd make it known. Options were Fintan's forte nonetheless.

With information to go with on this mission, Rook was already fielding battle plans in his head. So the enemy was being supplied by a trader, had accesses to multiple arms factories, and there were multiple rebel squads of various sizes and most had mechs and used ambush tactics. Well, they were most certainly prepared for this, his men may have few numbers but pit them against any sort of armor and they would have it down in a minute. And ambush tactics? They were experts in close combat and had the means to hide, they would be the ones to sneak up on them.

Of course their dropzone would be in the forests, it would be smart to guess that there could be multiple rebel squads encamped inside the forests, of course they were not well trained but they did possess class III technology. Great, that just meant free supplies for him and his men, even if they had fancy toys without the experience to back it up it was just another standard weapon.

Of course those arms factories peaked his interest, they would have to get rid of them since trying to hold that objective seemed like a bad decision however they could raid the place, grab all the supplies they could carry and blow it up. They were masters at demolitions, blowing one of those factories would be a cakewalk.

So far their mission looked more and more simple by the second, Rook was confident about easily putting down the rebels. Of course he and his team were not associated with anyone, if those rebels could offer him some...incentive to change sides he would have no reason to stay with these guys. If they can offer them more supplies then he was sure to change sides. Of course for now he was going to work with these guys with taking them out.

He had no further questions, however he was sure the others still had more opinions about this matter.

Nodding, Briggs added that to his notes. This had cluster fuck written all over it. Then again seldome were mercs used where clusterfucks were not involved. He frowned a bit, looking the map over. Not a pot to piss in.

“ So outline aside, do we have a plan of action together once we hit planetside?” He asked the other two leaders more than the CC.”

I’m not quite sure what sort of unit either of you two are bringing to the table, so I guess I’ll start if that’s fine. We’ve got a LRRP group that could set up initially as a defensive unit until we can get our ducks in a row, then provide active scouting to make sure we don’t step into anything to heavy without advanced notice. Might I suggest using these two elements,”
Brigs motioned onto the map with his two squads, ”“ As feelers,so to speak. From what action we’ve seen folks usually like mines and other deep holes, so we can almost assume these are going to be hard points we should avoid, and likely we’ll find MSR and SSR linking the two, it’d be fairly easy to recon those and get an understanding of the local capabilities;Alternatively, these are also locations that would be a good place for any surviving units would be hold up at.”

Hawkins studied the map, mostly the topography and flow of the land.
” Just as a guess I’d say these locations are prime targets for ambush locations, based on how the land flows together and relative distance to anything worth mentioning. Just a thought anyways.” Hawkins tapped his chin as he steadied the chessboard before him.” With the rebel forces in the area these locations will likely be cluster mined,” Hawkins highlighted a few choice area’s in red.

Aside from the actual mission plan Briggs unit was ready to be deployed, the forest area would suit his unit well for the most part, he was just worried about movement time and how quietly they could do shit.

The thus far silent Commander Vladimir Mamuka had been listening to the rest of the meeting with, apparently, nothing to add. Watchful eyes and attentive ears were clearly his strong suit in the matter, absorbing all of the information for later use.

Commander Mamuka listened to his Chief Engineer as well, and nodded in response to his thoughts. "We'll put down wherever we end up over-stocked and wait for the supply ship to relieve us of our burden," he replied quietly. "Anything we're not immediately using we can store on the jumpship for later." Whatever his thoughts on the rest of the matter, he didn't immediately release.

The man was a little more vocal in reference to the upcoming situation however.
"Depending on various factors... I say we move into the large canyon network, or the mines. Smoke out any rebels in the area and set up a temporary camp... while a fast assault force goes to take down the communications array." He taps the array's location. "Two days out from LZ, and we have a lot of hardware to move. We could go faster without the salvage tracks, as much as I'd like to tear some of that up for bits. Maybe send the Mechs, whatever fast transports we have, get in blow it all up and get out with whatever we can carry." He then nods to Hawkins. "Get our scouts to check the Canyons or Mines nearby and see what's what, if either of them are viable holdouts."

Alywn cleared her throat and added her own thoughts. "What little information we have regarding the topography of the world indicates that the mines and caves may be linked to the canyons- and that there is an outlet in the northern mountains, where it would be safest for the Dropship to come in for resupply. We could travel underground for the length of that route, or risk overland."

"If you happen to be able to disable enemy communications capacity on a planetary scale, all the better for you," was Oischot's response to the Chief Engineer's thoughts. Aside from that she was silent, allowing the officers to discuss matters among themselves.

Fintan stroked his beard about Oischot's response. It felt tongue in cheek but he considered how to make it work and thought out loud, "We're not miracle workers to destroy the whole planet's comms but I wonder how high gain a jamming signal I could ram through that complex for how long if we didn't care at all if the electronics burnt out. Wouldn't need any encryption keys to scream white noise the sky and mirror some of the bands off the troposphere. I'd have to run some numbers on transmission drop off. If you can't shoot them all we could shout them down for a little while to gain position for an exit strategy. Burn out enough electronics and the complex may as well be blown up if it doesn't burn down first. Techs would need a bit of quiet time to reverse engineer a system or two to rewire and bypass safeties. Time a few explosives too for a reserve destruction. Maybe I could get you a regional denial of service for a while depending on the sats they have up there and the weather. Best case half a continent perhaps. It'd take a fair bit more time than just pounding the dish in."

He looked up from some comms technical manuals on his dataslate at the other two groups, "I'd leave getting the quiet time up to you gentlemen."

"Me and my team can eliminate the communications facility. We have training in demolitions and even if they engage with armor we are prepared for such a thing. We will deal with the hard threats, if any other target needs to be destroyed give us the order." Rook spoke when they mentioned the communications facility.

He was not sure about the others capabilities but he was sure his regiment had more combat experience over the others, the locations would be destroyed, it would take some time but they would get it done.

Right….
"Me and my team can eliminate the communications facility. We have training in demolitions and even if they engage with armor we are prepared for such a thing. We will deal with the hard threats, if any other target needs to be destroyed give us the order."

Briggs nodded his mind drew from various mission templates and he found a few that would cover their next course of direct action broadly enough to deal with most situations.

“ Right, I take it Cpt. Rook has our primary forces in his deck, I propose my unit hit the LZ first and provide basic cover. While those mines might be clear, they are just as likely enemy positions and I think Cpt. Rook would rather avoid the inconvenience they might pose. Depending on hostile contact we can use 40 lb satchel charges to clear most of the immediate mine shafts of enemy activity , and move into them as a base of operation.”

Briggs drew the basic outline of his small unit’s defensive maneuver and then the movement to the tunnels.

“ As for moving through the mines, i’d rather avoid large scale movement through confined space, it’d be far too easy to seal us in, and would likely have us incur crippling losses before we could dig out even with Chief Engineer Naoise expertise.”

“ I propose we skirt along the western flank of this mountainous region, staying along the top ¾ in the wooded area to avoid being stuck between the mountains and subsequently taking fire from two high vantage points. If Cpt. Rook and Chief Engineer Naoise would like, my unit can provide real time close recon, allowing us to avoid heavy conflict for the most part.”

“ Figuring we can make halfway decent time, we can set up a FOB here and have recon go in the night before and get a sense of what Cpt. Rook will be stepping on.”
Briggs traced over his suggestion on the overlay, then paused for a moment.
“I mean… unless the Commander has a better suggestion…? He asked a tad sheepishly.

Hawkins shook his head and rolled his eyes, his LT. did enjoy a good plan, and often came up with the correct answer, but the man was wordy to say the least.

” I figure we can also leave Orbital markers on weapons caches and any other supplies we capture along the way for the second wave to clean up should that be agree able.” Hawkins added

Captain Commander Oischot listened to the various suggestions and plans from the table, her expression- and that of the Liaison for that matter- scarcely changing throughout.

"Your plans once you hit the ground are your own, largely," she eventually added to the ongoing strategic debating. "But there are two things that you need to take into consideration. Firstly, you're all going down in one dropship. The second dropship is reserved for my team, and that will be your lifeline; an emergency response if and when it is deemed necessary. It's smaller, but fast enough to bring a Lance of mechs down on any position."

She tapped the LZ and eyed each of the officers present. "The plan for our Dropship commander is to land in daylight, drop you all off, and take off again. The flare of a Dropship's landing can be seen for a considerable distance at night, but is less likely to be spotted during the day."

Then she directed the attention to the route of transit. "Whatever your teams do in relation to the comms array is fine- as long as the enemy can no longer use it for the duration of the conflict, I don't care. Your transition to the North should occur as rapidly as possible however." With that she looked pointedly at Lieutenant Briggs. "While your notions of tunnel collapse and enclosed spaces are appreciated and noted, your units will be without supply for several days while moving to the North- even longer if you have to swing around three cities over-land. Your units," and here again she looks more pointedly at Captain Rook, "Do not all have transport vehicles- this means we'll be loaning you trucks, but this also means you won't be able to traverse all terrain as easily- not to mention your... walking APCs. Even though your proposed route is more plains than woods- you're looking at a long, hard march, with possible enemy contact and potential supply shortages. Passing overland between Calixus and Wernke to our best knowledge would be quicker and, relatively, safer; Kaalikot and the TEC are fully engaged all along the Northern cities, and so your most likely encounter would be a Patrol- rather than reinforcements heading to one battlefield or other." With that, she shrugged.

"I trust your reputations speak for themselves, so I won't force you to handle things my way- just giving you some strategic food for thought." With a glance to the Liaison, met with a pleasant smile, Oischot looked down at the operation time. "I'll leave you to it. Good luck down there Commanders."

There was activity everywhere in the Hangar; the massive spheroid dropship was loading the elements of all three units. The Infantry got the upper levels, while the vehicles were placed in the lower series of levels- the design of the thing would allow them all to depart easily enough when the time came, presumably. Each facing had a series of ramps for vehicles, infantry, and apparently aircraft- not that the mixed Company had any of those.

The Officers would likely be handling their own units, but passing around here and there was Liaison Alwyn Rocha; no longer in the pristine suit she wore at the meeting, but now wearing a loose flight jacket over a tight tank top and baggy cargo fatigues. She still looked shining and pleasant, simply observing the conduct of departure, but it was clear she kept in shape- and kept a sidearm on her hip as well.

The nature of the dropship meant that all three units would be occupying the same spaces... for better or worse.
