- Paranoid personality disorder: "The wolf, hes after me, he has always been after me" PPD is a
mental disorder characterized by paranoia and a pervasive, long-standing suspiciousness and generalized
mistrust of others. Individuals with this personality disorder may be hypersensitive, easily feel slighted, and
habitually relate to the world by vigilant scanning of the environment for clues or suggestions that may validate
their fears or biases. Paranoid individuals are eager observers. They think they are in danger and look for signs
and threats of that danger, potentially not appreciating other evidence. They tend to be guarded and suspicious
and have quite constricted emotional lives. - OCD: "Everything has to have the color red and everything has to be clean...I cant stand uncleanliness"
is a chronic non-adaptive pattern of extreme perfectionism, preoccupation with neatness and detail, and a requirement
or need for control or power over one's environment that results in major suffering and stress, especially in areas of
personal relationships. Persons with OCD are usually known to be inflexible and extremely controlling. They may find it
hard to relax, and feel the need to plan out their activities down to the minute - Schizophrenia: "Don't you see it? Its right there I tell you I see the wolf! Please help me!" Schizophrenia is
a mental disorder characterized by a breakdown of thought processes and by poor emotional responsiveness.[1] It most
commonly manifests itself as auditory hallucinations, paranoid or bizarre delusions, or disorganized speech and thinking,
and it is accompanied by significant social or occupational dysfunction.
Fairytale/Claim: Scarlet was raised by her grandmother because her parents died in a car crash when she was younger. Her grandmother knew Scarlet was different and needed more guidance. As Scarlet got older she her obsession with the color red showed up first then the cleanliness. One day when she was fourteen her grandmother took her to a zoo and when they went to see the wolves an accident happened and one of the wolves got out. Chaos was happening and she watched as the wolf attacked one of the guards. Her grandmother got her out of there physically safe but mentally she was scarred. That incident set off her schizophrenia and made her paranoia go from mild to extreme. Her grandmother tried to get her help with therapy and medication but it just didn't seem to help. One day Scarlet was outside picking some flowers, it was almost evening time and she heard a scream from her house, she knew it was her grandmothers. When she ran in there she saw a hallucination of a wolf run off and saw her grandmother on the floor unconcious. The doctors said it was a heart attack but Scarlet knew it was the wolf and she kept telling the hospital, kept telling everyone. Before she knew it she was getting taken to Jacob Wilhelm Institute for Wayward Youth.
