Was small talk always this hard? It didn't matter, but it was clearly a bit stale. Maybe it was just because they hadn't spent enough time together yet. Letting out a small sigh, Ash tried to push the idea aside for now, a mild concern seeping into her mind. The one thing she didn't exactly like being the Doctor was watching her teammates hurt themselves. Especially Kardos. Those blood summonings just made her so.. uncomfortable. Almost as uncomfortable as Chikanori's blood coughing.

In the end though, she supposed there was nothing she could exactly do. They were the rulers of their own bodies, and she could only patch them up when the time called for it. It wasn't as if it would kill them... right?

No, no definitely not. She'd never let them do something so reckless, and neither would Haru. Chun-Li seemed to be the only one they didn't have to worry about quite so badly, so that was always a plus. She more or less just rambled about things she knew Kardos probably wouldn't hear, nor listen too as if to fill the awkward void.

"Sorry about not listening to you but my scout says that there is some demon laying whithin the building, the others are there so we must be careful in how we conduct this mission as always." When did they ever have an easy mission? Then again, a kid running inside a poor building? Typically even a six year-old child knew better then that.

"Well, that's no good." Ash replied swiftly, her pace picking up until her eyes locked on to the shape of their fellow teammates. Well, they... were a bit late. It wasn't until they approached closer to the building Ash took careful notice of everyone's condition. Haru looked fine, Chun-Li looked okay... and Chikanori looked like Chikanori, whatever that meant was up to general assumption. Ears picking up, just a tad, a soft smile spread across her face as she nodded towards Haru.

"Glad to see you guys showed up," It wasn't exactly like any of their teammates to leave each other in the dirt, or to just not show up in general. Deciding against a general, sassy joke, Ash just laughed it partially off with a wave.

"Sorry about that, guys." Drawing her attention to their Tamer, Ash felt that little smile go into a flat line.

"I haven a bad feeling about this, just calling reinforcements." The moment he summoned that humanoid creature however, that flat line expression had turned into a full-forced frown. Did they really need something that strong? Did he really need to waste that much energy? Spinning quickly to face him and walk over, the doctor held out her hand towards Kardos, offering to pull him up. Ashitaka could swear she could hear Haru saying something, and maybe she should of paid a bit more attention, but she was quick to turn her ears towards him before he was done speaking.

"The kid's definitely in here, that's for sure. There might be more though..." Ah, you'd got to be kidding her. Judging by the way everyone was saying it, there were officially jinxed. If she could reach that wooden board though, she would of knocked on it for every time she heard the word 'demon'. She was going to speak up when Haru continued after opening the door. "A-Anyone want to go in first?"

Aha, the way he stuttered was just purely adorable, though it could of just been Ash's inner crush speaking up. While she might of offered up to go in first, Ashitaka always had felt... a bit uncomfortable with being either first or last. It left openings to being attacked, surprise-wise, or head on. While she knew she was more then capable with holding her own, she just wasn't one to fight unless the situation actually called for it. Kardos, Chun-Li, and Chikanori were all more then capable of defending the team. And to be honest? So was Haru, he just... lacked a certain amount of confidence sometimes.

Nothing they couldn't help or work on, but she was more then glad that Chika had decided to step up to bat and take one for the team. "Haru, you're so adorable sometimes." Ash commented, looking back at Kardos before finally giving into her instincts. "Hey, you're okay, right?"

"At least you're here and ready," Chikanori scoffed. Here? Yeah. Ready? Not exactly. He still felt so heavy, so tired. It wasn't like he couldn't work under these conditions, all things considering though. He had done it before, and he'd just do it again. Sleep and him weren't the best of friends as fair as anyone else knew. Last night? It was a fluke he didn't intend let happen so easily... But didn't the human body need like, eight hours of sleep? That had got to be the most stupidest rule they could of ever made up. Or discovered. Whichever it was, it was stupid. What was stupider was that Ashitaka seemed pretty firm on him getting it.

Mom and Mom number two were always a bunch of nagging, worrying Nancies, Kardos seemed to be always be sacrificing his fair share of blood for a bunch of useless abominations, and Chun-Li was that of the perfect knight from as far as he could tell. Strong and silent. And him? Well, he was just a weird-ass albino he played with guns.

Meh. No use crying over nonexistent milk.

I'm really behind so here's a guide on what to say with her. The first paragraph should be about how Muse had to go to work for a little bit, and how she;'s coming back to semi-decent chaos and what not. Nothing that bad, but it should expand for about two entire paragraphs, that can easily vary in size. Good luck.

Next, you should have her go out to Vincent and warn him that their about to be a bunch of tricksters, even though he won't really care. Than, offer to help him garden. Now the rest of this will just be a bunch of filler words until the 500 word count. Muse muse muse muse. Muse muse muse muse. Muse muse muse muse. Muse muse muse muse. Muse muse muse muse. XXThe sun shined too brightly for such dark days befalling the Kingdom of Virgo. This world was such an odd place, for such a tiny princess. Even with such early years, far under her belt, Amalia knew there was still so much to learn. Everyday, every passing minute, there was something new, dangerous, involving her own kingdom, much less the business of an upcoming war. Had her mother been alive, perhaps they would of been able to claim that of neutrality, without the threat of the Kingdom's own growing uprising.

XXInstead of picking something that would of simply ceased the revolting, the Queen's side, for some reason however, Amalia had made it a point to pick that of the King. She had claimed far too many times it was to prevent destruction from that of Cancer, but somewhere deep down, the royal family knew the truth. They were counting on that revolt...

XX But you couldn't blame a girl for having second thoughts about her own choices... Especially with the events of misfortune a week ago, and once again last night. A week ago, the Princess of Virgo had successfully sent out the invitations to host the grand meeting in her own domain, her messengers swift and to the point of giving the notes early Sunday morning. However, once noted of the invitations safe arrival, the island of Tenebris had shook. And whatever shook the entire island had disturbed that of the large, terrible creatures within it - giant spiders, to put it lightly.

XXCrawling onto the destroyed bridge, they had no qualms with attacking the peaceful island of Flamma, soldiers being dispatched left and right in order to prevent the many towns that resides there, as well as the castle of the royals. By the time a larger number of militia got to the island, some of them had already begun attacking the castle. It left... quite the impression on many of the poor Virians. Luckily, they managed to... eliminate the spiders or turn them back to Tenebris within the course of the next two-three days. Next, simply came the tedious repair progress and assessing damages. But last night? Well, it was more traumatic in Amalia's eyes then a bunch of overweight spiders that once chased her and her hero around as a younger girl.

XXLast night, Fortitudo nearly had a prison break.

XXLast night, Fortitudo nearly had a prison break.

                      THE NIGHT PRIOR

XXPanic began to spread throughout the island of Flamma as a strange noise began to sound. A clap- stony in sound and almost as if rocks were stomping. An alarm from the stationed angelic statue, or rather, the nine that circled the island. Embedded with magic from the strongest Virian Princess, it almost seemed like they were some sort of advanced creature. They weren't of course, just a helpless golem or two, told to serve to be alarms.

XXAs a result, even the one in Aquarius seemed to begin to clap in slow sync, despite being all the way across the map of Cosmos.

XXThe island of Fortitudo was undergoing a prison break, soldiers dying and inmates screaming from inside the deadly mountainous prison. They hadn't found the exit yet, but serial killers and serial rapist - Stars knows what else - weren't stupid. Princess Virgo and her younger brother, the man technically in charge of military assaults were quickly escorted in the dead of night to the outer rim of the island, the set up base to learn how to trap and regain control from the outside in.

XX"Who the fuck do they think they are?" Giovanni swore, smashing his fist onto the tactical table. Gritting his teeth, he glanced softly at the tiny girl who rested her hand gently on his arm. "...You should go to the castle." He snapped, ripping his arm away in an attempt to act and seem tough. This was no place for a delicate, still learning Princess. That smile of hers just seemed to piss the younger, yet taller brother off. How was she always smiling with someone as stupid as him?

XX"...Perhaps... we should try using the participating members of the Rehabilitation project... Mother had started?" Amalia offered, to which a feminine hum replied. Aunt Aviana...

XX"That'd be a smart move, on the militia part, but... they'd be expecting that." Aviana stated, gently resting her hand under her chin as her other wrapped around her own waist. Her expression seemed serious, as if this truly was something to worry about. Amalia felt a chill run down her spine.

XXHer brother seemed to calm at the majestic women's arrival. "Then what do you propose we do, Lady Aviana?" He inquired, tying his hair back curtly. His face may of been tight, but it seemed like he already knew the answer before the women even spoke it up.

XX"Release the X-Unit, it'll give your men a chance to regroup, and they'll be taken off guard with drastic measures. The bitch made more anyway, didn't she?" Aviana replied, much to Amalia's cringe.

XXGiovanni nodded, despite the apparent bloodshed it would end up resulting in. The entire system was corrupt, but it seemed like this was just the cover for it all. They had guests arriving in the morning... but...

XXA fast forward through the night, a total of 20 inmates were killed, one of the X-Unit members were decimated and the head caved in, and over 25 soldiers were killed, and this number was not included the number of men wounded. Escaped inmates however? Only one.

XXThe rehabilitation group would be the ones who guarded the Princess more closely then ever, while the Unit-X members and sergeant of the guards would be escorting the royals as they arrives.

                      THE PRESENT

XXFeet dragging themselves out of bed, Amalia let out a loud sigh.

XX"Oi, chick, you're coming in aren't ya?" Ah - Prince Cancer! With... ordinary members, of the guard. A firm flat line crossed her brother's face as he scoffed at them. Almost looking at them with a high level of disdain. Those who were suppose to get them did not speak, but maybe they were attending to those who were also suppose to show... Tch. The thoughts made Giovanni angry, and it didn't take long for Amalia to sense the hostility growing...

XXBlinking, however, just when she was about to answer, her aunt tightly grabbed her behind her back. Don't talk, it screamed. However, the ambassador from Cancer that came along seemed to have the situation under control. "...I'll be waiting inside." He said, just as brashly as he arrived.

XX"A-Ah! Yes, we'll be in shortly!" Amalia called out, holding back a wince as her aunt twisted even harder. Keep familiarity to yourself, if she remembered the lecture correctly. There was quite a bit more, however, if she was truly going to be thinking about it. Something about not saying more than what was needed, for one.

XX"Good day, Princess Virgo. Let me speak in behalf of my Prince for your courtesy and hopefully your understanding. My apologies and my gratitude." This was... Grievert? If she remembered any of the notes and multitude of meetings she's once had, this was Theon's... bodyguard? Though, she found it hard to believe Theon needed it. She nodded her head in understanding.

XX"Prince Theon is more then welcomed to make himself at home, I don't mind. We are neighbors, after all." Amalia dismissed, despite the sudden chill that ran down her spine. The King was on the horizon, and there was brief terror that ripped through her system.

XXShe heard his address to her loud and clear. "Princess Virgo." She held her ground and straightened as she swallowed hard. "Greetings. I am impressed by your preparations. I would ask that it would be a continued trend."

XXOh, yes, because that of prison breaks and spider infestation was her favorite thing to do. She bit her tongue, however, the terror of being struck down like her aunt explained would happen being too great. The control such a woman who's wings were nearly as big as her mother's could of easily been evident had someone known the Princess well. "Of course, your majesty..." Amalia nodded as she curtsied, as did her little sister, aunt, and her brother bowed with an arm reaching to his opposing shoulder... yet the difference between attitudes and emotions, was that her littlest sister hide behind Amalia's leg right after.

XXNext to him was a masked force - someone Amalia couldn't identify, but Marina most likely could. It... was okay if she didn't address her right?

XXThe sun was blistering as next she saw a Gemini ambassador and some woman arrive, a few whispers and there were no actual need for introduction. Of course, Amalia acted as if her aunt hadn't just told her everything she needed to know. The spies were silent, but they rested within enemy and friendly territories. In this case 'neutral'. "Hello, Princess Virgo, I'm Mineczka of Gemini, I was sent here as Lady Elaine's diplomat, and this is Corentine Azura, a Tracker under Gemini and accompanies me. It is a pleasure to meet you." Said the woman who chose to bow instead of curtsy. How strange, but not much different from the way Sterling did so.

XXThings were never going to be the same, were they? Somewhere deep in Natasha's stomach something seemed to tense. Adrenaline, most likely. Her palms seemed to go slick with sweat, the urge to take Annabelle and whomever else the girl wanted to save for the first blight. The urge to protect the girl was all she could hear in her head, before stilling. As the teacher talked, as she finally put the context of what her word meant, she felt an intense sense of realization ripping through her. Holy fuck, was Natasha stupid for not taking this seriously? A 4.0 student, now potentially dying because she was too stupid. It wasn't like she was scared about the situation she had gotten herself into however, no, Natasha was fucking angry at herself for fucking up as badly as she did. Think, what could No be used for?

                      'Don't be afraid to die.'

Trust Natasha when she said one thing, she wasn't afraid of this.

No, no could be used for refusing entry. You say 'no' when you deny someone something. Natasha's head spun. What about some sort of make-shift shield? No one can get out, no one can get in. It was definitely going to be a long shot, but if she understood anything from the minimal amount of words this teacher was speaking, it was that the way this 'power' came into existence is how you understand and can manipulate the definition itself.

She waited a moment as people began to run, grabbing Annabelle's arm tightly as she tried to seem convincing. "Stay by me, Annabelle. Numbers will be essential to survival." Her grip was almost something resembling desperate, but it wasn't quite there. "I believe I saw Martin head towards the library, we should hurry."

He looked at her, Natasha had caught the glance, and they seemed to have grown familiar over the course of the week. Surely, Annabelle would want more than anything to save him. Next thing they'd have to do? Find weapons, and strengthen their weaknesses.

"Trust me when I say this, Annabelle, but I won't let you go."

But the silver-haired girl wouldn't lie when she came to one potential issue. The amount of screaming filling the hall, and the scent of shit and gore was almost unbearable. Especially when it came down to almost slipping on the amount of fluids on the floor. No, fortunately, Annabelle had them covered, seeing how she made the worst thud of all, right onto sharp bone.

There was not a second to actually worried, though Natasha scrunched up her nose in disgust. That was a lot of blood, and poor Anna seemed terrified. Grimacing, she tried to look forward and run, taking different turns the more she saw the monsters. Finally, finally they had made it to the libraries hallways, and specifically the area in which Martin was residing. Another student was with them seemingly freezing and panicking just like the rest.

"P-Please, I don't want to die, do you know what to do?!" The kid cried out. He practically pissed himself - or was that someone else's fluids? In the end, Natasha glanced at the kid, then at Martin as the creature had dropped the female in it's grasp. The scent of metallic was filling her nose as she left it to Annabelle to grab Martin.

Natasha Hansen, was much more hands on with the other student, using all the weight she had in her to force the other boy into the monster's way, not speaking a word as he let out a scream. Hands latched onto it as Natasha barely backed away, her face cold as she looked at Annabelle and Martin with one thing in mind. Get fucking running.

A headache was erupting from the back of Reina's mind as her fists clenched the menu. Who the fuck did this guy even think he was? The fact he thought himself capable of doing anything without someone jumping on him made her insane. And what the absolute fuck was with his speaking pattern? He reminded her of a sloth from that child's movie that released in what, 2016? It was like this man was the embodiment of sloth, but something in the back of her head told her that was an insult to the entire species, animated or not. Petty, petty, petty. Don't be petty.

But one thing definitely did get her to perk up, and it was when Neptune pinched her cheek. A faint blush crossed her face as her smile grew. "Cupcake?" She asked, a faint laugh. "Just don't take a bite outta me, okay?" She teased, nudging him before looking at her own menu. However, sympathetic eyes glanced up to Elvis as she sat back in her seat a bit. Eyes scanning over her menu quickly, before looking at the waiter with a pleasant smile. "Can I get one Lunar marshmallow-tastic rocket, please? Chocolate." She chirped. "Also one Lunar beer, and I guess a sweet iced tea, please. Oh! Anddd.." Her finger dragged to the correct spot in the menu, perking back up with a grin. "A Stella BLT?"

The Waiter nodded, and held out his hand for Reina's ID, which was gladly handed over. "Anything else for you guys?" He asked, seemingly hopeful he could get away from the table. Green eyes scanned the man, before landing on a small name tag holding the name 'Arnold'. Poor guy. But, none the less, Reina glanced at the menus in worry as she tried to guess if Elvis would need anything else... But eventually, she shrugged. If he wanted something else when he came back to the table, she was sure he wouldn't be shy in asking...

Her eyes snapped towards Louisa, her face turning a bit more.. harsh, as she whispered towards the female. "Hey, let's just chill, yeah? Clearly Elvis wants him to come back, and even if this guy keeps being an asshole, just sit back. Realistically, he can't do much harm in an open space. Just be the bigger person and get thicker skin. The less you show they get under your skin, the more angry they get. So, just chill out and let it play out, even if he comes back." She shrugged, leaning back. "Either way, it won't be a big deal. Ya know?" She directed part of the whisper towards Shea, patting her leg in comfort.

Still, she sat back and let the table do it's work before glancing over at Neptune to... observe the odd behavior. Did his back just tense up? A frown fell back onto Reina's face as she listened around to the young couple that spoke of 'UFOs' and 'Aliens'. Was he just.. nervous about aliens? Or that a 'UFO' looked different? Either way, she tried to think of something that could help. "Yo, I doubt it's actually aliens." She began softly, nudging him a bit more. "Even if it is, I'm sure they're much more friendly then movies peg 'em to be. Like, I'm a solid sixty-five percent sure they might be friendly. If not, and they invade Earth, at least all those bad plots about the world winning back their freedom might come true." Or they'd be enslaved or slaughtered to make way for a species looking for a home. Either or. "Hell, we might even make it into the history books." She teased, squeezing his shoulder. "Either way, no use getting stressed about it."

But something still didn't sit well inside Reina. The entire concept of an alien UFO brought out a conspiracy nut Reina tried to keep buried down deep and below. Be it from being the large part of the population that believes 'Area 51' was still a thing, to believing there was a government agency that actually helped get aliens 'galactic green cards' and stopped rouge creatures in their tracks when they crash land into Earth, she wasn't quite sure. Was there about to be a cover-up as big as 2020? When the world thought it was being invaded, but after a tormenting few days the world-leaders claimed it was a dramatic and fake report from cooperating news stations from across the world. Then, entire cities claimed nothing of the sort ever happened in the city, and everything went quiet. Damages? No longer damaged. It was like things got repaired overnight... but no one remembered it. The news clips were taken offline, in all countries, and it just wasn't ever spoken of again minus the ancient blogs that seemed to have smaller, encrypted clips and journal entries of the time they thought the sky was falling.

Was that just some sort of bizarre Chicken Little reference? Or did it actually happen? Reina's brows furrowed as she leaned back into her seat, letting her hand slip from Neptune's shoulder as she seemed to get lost in conspiracy thoughts all over again.

ⅰ. geography

A mixture of stunning architecture and a heavy mix of nature mixed into every nook and cranny, there are even certain regions of Virgo that seem untouched by man in general. Even then, animals run freely among the streets, as Virgo remains separated from the rest of the continent with ocean between them.

Islands primarily facing the rest of the kingdoms are know as the 'Guard-post' cities, and where the primary military resides, those being in reserves being else where. They have a lack of forests, and are primarily plains, being elevated above water with long trailing wooden staircases that lead to docks. The most large piece of the islands, being the large angelic statues that seem to all by similar with streaks of a brilliant blue material running through it.The rest of the islands might have the occasional small town, with ferries connecting them to the main island and the 'fake' capital.

However, this is one island that has been rumored to be dark and "cursed". There used to be a time people would actively be sacrificed to the island by leaving them there to die. Some of them were even killed on an alter facing the direction of the island that is commonly covered in an eerie fog.

island of decay 【 memento mori 】 Memnto Mori is the island that leaves a stain on the secret history of Virgo, being known to it's people and 'smuggled' civilians, as a cursed and dangerous place for any to go. In fact, during the early days of Virian culture, there used to be sacrifices on the cliff side of Anagapesis in hopes to appease the evil and malicious spirits they believed hunted the island. They also believe only the rulers themselves can go into the island, having a slightly higher chance then any ordinary person... and considering no ruler has died on their way through the island to the shrine Aemulatio, they take solace in their belief.

the gift of life for those unfortunate 【 inspirare 】 A tree that grants children to homosexual couples who are actually unable to have one of their own, it's considered a miracle for the Virian's to have. Many have come across the lands to have their chance at having a child of their own, to the point where Virgo made careful care to actually only allow a low amount to keep the tree healthy. All that is needed is for the pair's blood to drip and carefully be soaked into two vines entangled into each other. Just like that, the blood stains will vanish and be completely absorbed, and a baby will be born within nine months. However, these children are typically identified by birth abnormalities, the most prized and 'beautiful' being suction like circles trailing from the back of the neck, down to one's spine. The more grotesque ones, are excess bone growth on the base of the neck that's surrounded by nerves. This is typically shown when a child is not born from the 'flowers' inside the tree, but stuck within the flower and bark. Not many are able to use the tree outside of Virgo, as you'd have to be allowed into the territory to have it, but those who are allowed are heavily guarded and prevented from straying too far from their inn, and the tree. They'll be allowed back briefly once conception is up, as a letter in sent a month in advance.
