Imagine an American Orphan boy being adopted by some nutty Japanese lady who wants me to alternate between calling her 'mommy' and 'big sister.' Imagine that being your fucking life.
Ryan is a very friendly young man who doesn't mind extending a hand of help to those who need it most. But surprisingly, he actually still has trouble living in his current home town, having enough trouble walking down the street, as if dealing with lord knows what wasn't enough for this poor lad.
Ryan carries a Smartphone, Keyring, and some candy cigarettes.

Ryan is actually a rather adept martial artist with a decent amount of ability to utilize the life force known as ki, along with numerous martial arts techniques. He utilizes a combination of Jeet Kune Do and Kyokushin Karate, with some Judo and wrestling thrown in.
His level of skill and physical training give him a degree of superhuman strength, speed, agility, and some durability against damage.
Little is known about the circumstances of his birth. All that is known is that he was taken in by a teenage girl who took him home with her, and lived with her in a decent apartment in Tokyo, the young lady claiming to be his 'loving birth mother/older sister' (Despite having stolen him away from off the streets of New York City after being dumped by her long distance boyfriend during a convention) who dreamed of becoming a great businesswoman, raising him from age two up to today, at age sixteen, helping him to understand the world around him that is Japan. He still has much difficulty understanding the anime-styled world around him, attempting to keep to himself and away from the madness of his classmates. He dreams of moving 'back' to America in the hopes he'd be able to lead some semblance of a normal life away from the insanity and humdrum lifestyle of Tokyo. He engages fiercely in a martial arts school that teaches a hybrid style which uses techniques primarily of Kyokushin Karate, Jeet Kune Do, and Judo, for a bit of grappling.
I mean, until this year, at least. This was the year of high school where that would all change...
