                      Fighting Style
                        Stealthy. Quick.

                        Two battle fans.

xxKitsunes are known for their magic. Typically they are into illusion magic.

xxMainly using this to trick and distract people. She can also engulf herself in shadows, typically using this to hide herself.
xxHer ability to control shadows is a direct power from Ankoku.
xxShe can control the shadows to do her bidding but she can not create shadows nor can she fully control them where there is too much light.

xxKageri can revert into the form of a fox, her sense and strength are doubled in this form.
xxShe has been told when she is older and stronger, her form will grow to a much larger size.

xxLike most demons, even in her humanoid form she has heightened senses. She can see, smell and hear things that others can't.

xxKageri is a strong woman, being a full breed demon helps with that.

Head Strong ;; If someone ever dared to tell Kageri no or that there was something she couldn't do they would learn very quickly that the demon isn't one to back down. Once her mind is set on something she will not change her course. If she is told she can't do it she feels a need to prove that she can and she most defiantly will.

Rude ;; The term if you don't have anything nice to say don't say it all is something that she ever truly learned. While she doesn't go out of her way to be mean she just lacks the ability to filter herself, never realizing that some words are better left unsaid.

Loyal ;; While she hasn't had many over her life once Kageri is friends with someone she is deathly loyal to them. If they need help in any sort of way she is there to help them with what ever that something will be, dare touch one of her friends in a menacing way she will tear your throat out with out a second hesitation.

Lazy ;; Sleeping in, lying around and finding reasons not to do something, the demon has a habit of always finding the lazy way of accomplishing something. If she could have it her way, she would find the highest tree in Takeo Forest and sleep in it all day. There is one thing she isn't lazy about though, that is her training.

Determined ;; While a lazy woman there is something that drives her to be stronger and better. The only time she is ever found exerting every amount of energy she possibly is when she trains.

The main thing that Kageri was told as a child was that she was meant for something amazing, what ever that task was for the longest time she never knew nor did she care. As a young kit she ran through the Takeo Forest with her sisters and brothers, avoiding demon hunters and simply living their lives to the fullest. Days were spent sprinting in their fox forms from tree to tree, swimming in the many ponds and hot springs that were hidden in their home. Of course they weren't the only demons that called the 'holy' forest home but they were able to keep to themselves for the most part, it wasn't until she was about 5 that she started to hear the woman talk to her, that woman quickly became a friend to her. Kageri would be found talking to herself as she ran about the forest, it was then she was given the full story of who she was and what her parents thought she might be meant to be. The demon Ankoku that terrorized the humans for years was her Grandmother, there was something special about her blood, she had a bond with her. It was that bond that allowed the woman to talk to her, by talking to her she gave the woman a small amount of power - her parents were convinced that she would be able to help the once proud demoness escaped the binding of the tree.

Of course Kageri wanted none of this. No part of her thought that anyone should have to die unless they had to, she was a naive child that hadn't seen the horror of the world yet. The demon girl had met a young human child, the same age as her. The child was a hunter and knew what she was, the girl still wanted to be friends with the fox even going as far as bringing her sugary treats she wouldn't have been able to have otherwise. Their friendship continued to build through out their childhood, Kageri refused to follow the path that had apparently been laid out for her, she ignored her families warnings of befriending the girl. It wasn't until they were thirteen, her eldest brother in all his stupidity had traveled too close to the village in an attempt to see his grandmother (wanting to hear the voice that his sister once heard) and had been murdered. This broke Kageri's heart and half, when her friend came to meet her at the waterfall she attacked her in anger screaming horrible things at the girl. The hunter did what she was trained to do and defended herself, it didn't take long for other hunters to come and for the kitsune to fade away into the darkness of the forest, vowing to destroy them.

As the years passed Kageri trained, she had to be stronger - she had to be better, she had to avenge her brother even though she understood that he had brought it onto himself. Sometimes she thought of moving to another place but there was always something pulling her back, something told her to stay. It was a tingle that was in the bottom of her neck, it was the remaining thought of who she was suppose to be and those rare times she let her guard down allowing the whispers to fill her head once more. Even with the anger over her brother's death she knew that releasing Ankoku was not the way to go about this, she wasn't a horrible person and she didn't want the world to be covered in a horrifying darkness.

So begins...

Summer air, it always smelt like heaven, at least that is what Kageri thought. Honestly there weren't many things for the girl to dream about, she was a demon. With that didn't come many options in life, you were always hunted, always in danger. Running a hand through the water of the small pond she had found herself next to for the last few ours, sighing a little bit as she slowly pulled her hand away to turn over and let her back get some sun, smiling at the feeling. There were more thoughts running through her mind than there normally were, lately the voice of the infamous demon woman were growing louder. The woman was nothing but annoying and pathetic, begging to be let out the tree that had been her prison for the last hundred years. Kageri wanted nothing to do with her grandmother, while the demon hated the stigma that came with her breed but she didn't believe in the destruction of another, it wasn't fair - after all most demons kept true to their murderous expectations. The demon begged for Kageri to give into those, she made promises about revenge for her brother - promises of power. Was this all it needed for some people? Promises of power and it's okay to destroy the world? Laughing she propped herself up on her elbows, looking back into the water. Anyone who ate that bullshit was disgusting.

Shifting once more, she pushed herself back onto her feet, after all she couldn't spend all day laying next to the water, daydreaming no matter how much she really wanted to. Slowly she made her way through the forest, listening as she disturbed some birds causing them to take off to the sky. Laughing some as she watched them flap their wings and disappear into the everlasting blue, she shook her head a bit, they were lucky to be able to get away so easily. As she walked her skin started to dark, bit by bit her body begun to change and then suddenly there was no longer a girl but a fox, maybe twice the size of a normal fox, more the size of a dog walking where she once did. Two tails twitched as she looked around her surroundings, seeing them from a whole new perspective. Of course the sudden boost in her senses helped her gain new insight as well. There was one thing she loved, she loved being in this form. Having the ability to be in a human form and an animal form was just something amazing, there were things you didn't see in one form that you did in the other. Switching between them was something she couldn't describe, having that brief moment when you are truly two things at once. Smiling she bared her teeth a bit, letting out an odd sounding yipp that was her laughing.

No sound was made as the black fox sprinted across the vast amount of trees, she was sure there was something to do either watching that hunter train or finding her friend, Yasou was around. Both of those things seemed like a good day for her but first she had to stop home, it had been a few weeks since she saw her family and she was sure they would think that she had been hunted down just as her brother had so many years ago. For a brief second the thought of her old friend worked its way into her mind, she wondered how Risuka was. She wondered how different things would be if her brother was still alive, if she hadn't attack the hunter upon seeing her. Those thoughts are quickly erased as she though more of her brother, her big brother who was her world. How they were going to change things together. Anger fueled her paws to move faster, she wasn't going to let her parents think that of her, it wouldn't be something they could handle.

The moment she arrived home, it was easy to tell that the mood in her house had changed. There felt as if a weight had been lifted off everyone's shoulders. What she had thought of was true, while it was normal for Kageri to run off for a day or three she had never spent so long away from home. She felt horrible that she had put her family through such a horror, why hadn't she thought of what it was going to do to them?

After spending an hour or so with her family, she deemed it long enough. It wasn't that she hated being around them, she just found it hard sometimes. They wanted her to give into her grandmother's request of freedom, they wanted the world to be forever covered in darkness once more. They found the world to be unfair just as she did but their hatred seemed to run deeper than hers or maybe it just ran differently. What ever it was, she wasn't going to listen to them any more than she was going to listen to that wretched Ankoku. Taking off into the forest once more, the black furred kitsune tried to see who she might find first.
