» Personality:

Depending on whom she’s with or the situation, Elisa can blend in quite well. At home she is a well behaved, perfectly postured, and well spoken debutante. She pretends to care about things that are going on within her parent’s circle of equally pompous and ridiculously wealthy friends, and carries herself with refined elegance. Her problems don’t exist because they’re not allowed to. In other words, Elisa is a great actor.

At school, Elisa does her best to be a nobody. She’s about as shy as a person can possibly be and jumps at the sight of her own shadow. She rarely speaks to anyone unless directly spoken to and even then they’re lucky if they get more than one or two words from her. Most of her time is spent reading and doing homework.

In recent years, she’s been obsessed with controlling her weight and what she eats, as it’s one of the only things she CAN control in her life. She’s extraordinarily depressed and finds joy in very few things.

Now there’s what you could call “the real Elisa,” the side of her she pushes away and hides from people; the Elisa that very few people will ever get to know. If comfortable to open up to someone, they’ll find that – despite all the negativity she feels – she’s quite normal. She can be flirty, she likes to have fun, she loves deeply, and all she really wants is to be the mother to her daughter. However, this Elisa has been pushed so far down that even she’s not sure she exists anymore.

♦ The Past ♦

» History:

Elisa was born to a wealthy family, who own a several businesses throughout the United States. Her house was filled with rules on how to act, how to dress, what to like, and her future was all set up for her. From the moment she was born she was destined to join the family business. She wasn’t just a daughter to her parents; she was a long term investment. They had plans and dreams for her, never allowing her to have her own. As she got older this caused a great deal of stress. The pressure to be perfect was too much for a young girl to handle and eventually, she began to control her life in the only way she figured she could. The amount of food she consumed on a daily basis began to dwindle into nothing and by the time she was thirteen, she had already been hospitalized on multiple occasions: her parents doing their best to cover them up.

Her freshman year of high school, she met a boy named Malachai. He was sweet to her, a little on the alternative side, and everything her parents despised, but Elisa absolutely adored him. For the first time in her life, she was happy. When she wasn’t at school, she was with him. But all good things must come to an end, and by the time the year was out Malachai had been in a horrific car accident. He passed away shortly after and a week later, Elisa would find out she was pregnant at fourteen.

When her parents discovered Elisa’s pregnancy, they were outraged. They couldn’t convince her to terminate the pregnancy, it was the only thing she had still connecting her to her late boyfriend. So they moved and for a majority of her sophomore year, she was home schooled and her mother pretended to be the pregnant one. And while Elisa’s eating habits had changed drastically for the health of her unborn child, the moment Jessa came into the world, she returned to her anorexic ways – this time much worse than before. She dabbled in the world of cutting, began to smoke cigarettes to decrease her appetite, and completely separated herself from her classmates. Until this year, nobody had really noticed her. Teachers would forget her name even at the end of the year, students spread silly rumors, and that was just her life. Then she met Beck Hades, the flirty boy with long blonde hair. Their friendship made absolutely no logical sense and their fellow students often felt the need to point it out. But she wasn't completely alone anymore and that comforted her.

((Seems intense xD))

She noticed Beck's unease over Jess's comments on her hair and leaned over so that she was at the toddler's level. "We don't have hair like yours because we're not as special as you are, Jessie." Elisa told her with a smile and poked her nose. "Your hair is beautiful just like you." Times like these, if nothing else, proved that the young mother had some maternal instincts, even if it wasn't evident all of the time. It's not often she got a chance to mother the girl. Anyhow, the toddler appeared to relax at her comments and even giggled.

"Trying to smile, but I at least I will be happy for now. I'm with you after all."

It all came rushing back now. Beck was going to intentionally throw himself at a pack of vicious hyenas, all for the sake of his gang. She still couldn't understand and she didn't want him to. She wanted to forbid him from going anywhere near any gang related activity for life, but she couldn't. He was his own person and all she could do was watch and pray he wouldn't get hurt. Pray that everything would be alright and that he'd eventually leave that world behind. Her face fell, despite him saying words that would have made her happy had the situation been different. He was safe while he was with her, wherever else he went was a different story entirely.

Though that tension dissipated entirely with Jess's question about Beck being Elisa's boyfriend. Suddenly he was laughing and Jess was smiling like she had just been given an entire room full of dolls and candy.

"Give me a little while. I might be then. Shhh though!"

"He definitely wishes he were," Elisa teased, grinning. Jess was more than amused by the answers she was given and had the world ended right there, she would have died a happy kid, though it didn't take much to make the girl smile in the first place. Where Elisa was dark and sad, her little girl was the brightest ray of sunshine she had ever seen.

When Jess was finally inside and Elisa was finally alone with Beck, she wasn't sure what to say but settled with: "She likes you that's for certain." She was concerned with how Beck would respond to the situation, he had just met her daughter and nothing had really prepared her for how a guy would react to something like that.

Beck Hades.

"We don't have hair like yours because we're not as special as you are, Jessie."
"Your hair is beautiful just like you."

Well she most certainly saved the day there didn't she? Beck let out a deep exhale of relief and lowered his head, stroking the front of his blonde fringe with his fingers. Elisa seemed to be able to pluck words from her mouth and they were always what people needed to hear. It was a gift that not many people had at all. It was something that Beck might have needed. He needed words like that said to him to take the thoughts of violence and fear from his poor muddled mind. They were selfish ideas, especially considering yesterdays occurrences, but it was what he wished for. As Jess let out a cute round of laughter the youth lifted his head, managing a smile at the brunette's quick thinking. He most certainly appreciated it.

"He definitely wishes he were,"

Beck might have found his skin changing a light colour of red. He turned his face to the left to hide it and forced out a chuckle of pleasant laughter. "Is that a problem Elisa?" He stated. It was clear his tone was meant to be somewhat jokey but instead it sounded formal and forced. The blonde was not the best at hiding things at all; Elisa was clearly blind if she was unable to see his feelings.

"She likes you that's for certain."

"So I did not terrify the living shit out of the poor chick then?" He asked softly. "She's adorable. Though I find it incredibly sad that she see's you as her sister. You will tell her when she's a little older wont you?" Beck said, wondering if he was stepping into rather touchy areas with this conversation. That little girl would have to grow up having another little girl as a Mother, a single Mother at that. Part of him wished that Elisa did not have Jess holding her back in life, he tried to push the wish to the back of his mind but it still hung there somewhere.

He began to make his way back through the gates and away from her very odd and tidy home. The youth looked back over his shoulder at Elisa, admiring her clothes and the way her hair fell perfectly on her shoulders another time. "You look stunning... You know that?"

"Are you looking forward to today or just dreading being dragged around with me?"

"Is that a problem Elisa?"

The way his words came out, the tone of voiced he used and whether he meant it to or not, made her blush wildly. For someone who had just swooped in and saved the day with a toddler, she wasn't sure how to respond to Beck. She could have just as easily screamed "Of course it's not a problem, let's hop into my bed right now and I'll show you much of a problem it isn't." But she was Elisa Grace and even if she wanted to say those things, she absolutely wouldn't. "Not for me, it isn't." She finally responded, a small smile on her face.

"She's adorable. Though I find it incredibly sad that she see's you as her sister. You will tell her when she's a little older wont you?"

It felt for that every step Elisa managed to take forward, she was pushed a thousand behind. The question, though it was bound to be asked, crushed her because....she didn't have an answer. Would she tell Jess when she was older? Would she take her and leave this city, never looking back? Or would she stay, continue to live as though Jess was her sister, and do everything her parents ever wanted; surviving off a trust fund, attending charity events where no one really cared about the charity, and never having a care in the world. "I don't know," She answered, staring at the ground as they walked. She didn't want to look him in the eye. He wouldn't understand something she didn't understand herself.

No matter what Elisa chose to do, things would be hard. She could play pretend forever, letting Jess have everything she could ever want and watch her grow up the exact same way she did: in a world where appearances are everything and the pressure to be perfect is enough to drive one insane. Or, Elisa could run away with Jess - sacrificing her trust fund in the process - and they could live as teen mom and daughter without the support from family or anyone else. For a seventeen year old girl, it was a lot to deal with and she wasn't sure which choice was the right one.

"You look stunning... You know that?"
"Are you looking forward to today or just dreading being dragged around with me?"

She smiled, being pulled out of her heavy thoughts. "You look pretty good too, Beck." She told him earnestly. "And I'm looking forward to it. Why would I be dreading it? I'm with you."

Beck Hades.

"Not for me, it isn't."

Uncomfortably Beck tilted his head backwards in a sigh. God that woman was hard to understand. He was unsure if it was a form of sarcasm or a compliment or what. "What does that even mean?" He said softly with a chuckle, finally daring to look in her direction to just catch a sight of the smirk on her face and blushing cheeks. The blonde quickly turned away and let out a handsome laugh, waving his hand in a downwards motion as if to say 'never mind love'.

"I don't know,"

Her face showed fear mostly, and there eyes did not so much as look in the same direction. He was scared he had placed too much pressure on her shoulders too early. It was not exactly something she wanted to think about after coming out of hospital from a failed suicide attempt. At that point, Beck felt he had stabbed her. "I am sorry, ignore my stupid questions sweetie," The blonde said softly.

"And I'm looking forward to it. Why would I be dreading it? I'm with you."

"I thought you hated time spent with me! The teasing, the sexual comments, having to walk around with this 'creative moody emo' as you keep saying. I don't know about you but if I was in your shoes I would have been gone by now." The youth laughed, which was incredibly true. He was in a gang for gods sake, the kind of gangs that commit murders and horrible crimes that cause them to end up in prisons for years on end. She should be dreading his company.

"We have a little while before the festival gets going. We could go back to my place or just take a walk or go shopping or go have a little bit of something to eat? It's what ever you choose. Today is your day Elisa!" Beck said pulling her body closer towards him for a kind of awkward side hug.

Her warmth felt like the sunshine on his skin.

"What does that even mean?"

Elisa laughed and ran a hand through the waves in her hair. He looked so confused and it was absolutely adorable, she couldn't help but grin at the sight of it. "You always act like I'm so...enigmatic," She sighed and wrapped her arm around one of his, laying her head against his shoulder. To her, she felt like her feelings were obvious, and she wasn't sure if he was choosing to ignore them or was just that unobservant. She couldn't come right out and say it, she liked their friendship and the risk of losing it was far too great to her.

Not only that, but bringing any man into her life when she had a daughter and she was such a mess, seemed like an incredibly selfish notion. While she wouldn't expect them to play dad (hell, she wasn't really being a mother), she didn't want anyone to feel like they had to. Especially when Elisa had an eating disorder and depression she had yet to get help for. It was too much for herself to deal with. Being romantically involved with anyone, it felt, was impossible. The thought made Elisa sad, but she had accepted the reality of it. At least, in that moment she did.

"I am sorry, ignore my stupid questions sweetie,"

His questions about Jess weren't stupid, they were valid and she had to make a decision eventually: if she was ready to or not, it didn't matter. "You're right, though. I should tell her. I just don't know if I can," She shrugged, though the expression on her face proved she was still upset with herself over the whole situation. She never should have let her parents have so much control over her, but now that they had it she wasn't sure she could take that control away. Elisa had grown so use to it that speaking up for herself and taking back her life....terrified her.

"I thought you hated time spent with me! The teasing, the sexual comments, having to walk around with this 'creative moody emo' as you keep saying. I don't know about you but if I was in your shoes I would have been gone by now."

"Yes, you're a freak and I'm a mess, but I love that about you and at the end of the day you make me happy. So why would I abandon this wonderfully dysfunctional friendship?" She didn't have to even think to respond to him that time, the words just rolled off her tongue and she smiled at the end. "Besides, when has any of that ever bothered me? You're sexual comments are obviously the star attraction in my nightly fantasies." Clearly, she had no problem teasing him and accompanied that statement with a wink.

"We have a little while before the festival gets going. We could go back to my place or just take a walk or go shopping or go have a little bit of something to eat? It's what ever you choose. Today is your day Elisa!"

Grabbing a bite to eat obviously wasn't something Elisa would choose, especially after having to eat bits of hospital food before she had been released, but going to Beck's place seemed promising. If he meant his actual home and not his secret gang hideaway thing, of course. "Your place? Like, your house where you keep secret diaries stored underneath your bedroom's mattress? Not where you took me, uh, last time?" Sometimes Elisa sounded like an absolute genius, weaving beautiful words out of thin air. Then there were times like this. "Fuck yeah. I wanna see your house."

Beautiful.

Beck Hades.

"You always act like I'm so...enigmatic,"

Beck felt his heart melt in his chest as the brunette accepted his advances and nuzzled her head into his shoulder. It felt so natural and it was everything he had ever thought about. If the pair had caught a strangers eye right in this moment it was likely they would assume him and Elisa were a couple and that made him the happiest person alive. "Why...I think you are rather hard to read? Or am I just being silly?" He asked lowering his handsome face. "Are you quite obvious Elisa?"

"You're right, though. I should tell her. I just don't know if I can,"

"You can take your time, she's only a little girl now so you have a long time to work things out. By that time you might have moved out and have a partner so it might be easier to explain. But what do I know eh?" The blonde explained, giving her a little playful nudge with his shoulder blade at the quiet expression lingering on her face that terrified the living hell out of him. "Jess clearly adores you, you know that right?"

Someone else adores you too.

"Yes, you're a freak and I'm a mess, but I love that about you and at the end of the day you make me happy. So why would I abandon this wonderfully dysfunctional friendship?" "Besides, when has any of that ever bothered me? You're sexual comments are obviously the star attraction in my nightly fantasies."

The blonde let out a seductive purr that caused his breath to dance across her neck as he spoke. "What kind of dirty things does Elisa dream about?...I'm guessing something along the lines of what happened last night in the hospital right?" He let out a muffled round of laughter as he mentioned the memories of yesterday. "I'm sorry, though that is not something I can just forget about," Beck paused for a good few minutes before letting his tongue do as it pleased and he had no regrets what so ever. "It makes me so glad that I make you happy Elisa, and with out you in my life I know I would never be happy again. So please always stay at my side."

"I beg you."

"Your place? Like, your house where you keep secret diaries stored underneath your bedroom's mattress? Not where you took me, uh, last time?" "Fuck yeah. I wanna see your house."

He pulled her hand into his and tugged her down the path at a quicker pace. "Yeah, you get to meet my crazy Dad. He's pretty chilled though so its nothing to worry about. I'm sorry you had to see my friend in such a state before. We can watch films or do anything you like" Beck laughed, seeming genuinely giddy about taking her home along with him. Just him and her. Perfect.

"Are you quite obvious Elisa?"

"I guess I'll never be obvious enough," She told him with a grin on her face and nudged him playfully as they walked. It was just yesterday she had kissed him and when she was around him there was always some form of physical contact, whether that was hand holding or simply leaning against him. She had a hard time believing he didn't know her feelings, and instead assumed he simply didn't want that kind of relationship with her. Elisa couldn't blame him if that was the case, she was a lot to handle when he already had so much on his plate.

"You can take your time, she's only a little girl now so you have a long time to work things out. By that time you might have moved out and have a partner so it might be easier to explain. But what do I know eh?"

Elisa laughed quietly and shook her head. "Maybe I'll move out, but what fool could ever want a wreck like me?" And even on the off chance that someone did, her heart belonged to someone else. She didn't even know if she could trust another person around Jess, it was hard enough introducing her to Beck and she was in love with that boy.

"Jess clearly adores you, you know that right?"

Her eyes lit up and the corners of her mouth turned up. He probably had no idea how happy he had made her with a single sentence, but that was just what she needed to hear after everything. She loved that little girl so much it hurt. Even though her life was so dark, Jess was like a little ray of sunshine. She knew that Jess loved her, but sometimes she needed to be reassured and that was the first time she had ever been. "You don't know how much it means to hear that, Beck."

"What kind of dirty things does Elisa dream about?...I'm guessing something along the lines of what happened last night in the hospital right?"

The feel of his breath on her skin sent chills down her spine and reddened her cheeks, but it didn't stop her from replying in a similar manner. "If you want to, maybe you'll find out one day," She whispered, turning her head so that their lips were dangerously close to touching. Even she wasn't sure if this was an invitation or just more teasing and she didn't clarify either. Part of her hoped it drove him mad trying to figure it out.

But then, as it seemed to do often when they were together, the vibe between them changed from fun and laughs to almost sad and serious.

"It makes me so glad that I make you happy Elisa, and with out you in my life I know I would never be happy again. So please always stay at my side."

"I beg you."

"You don't have to beg me, Beck. As long as you'll have me around, I'll be with you." Her response was immediate and the love she had for him seemed to seep out in her words. She gave him a half smile and stopped their walk briefly so she could hug him. "If you can deal with me, that is. I'm kind of crazy." Elisa was teasing, though there were times when she questioned her sanity. When the darkest corners of her mind took over, leaving her in a puddle of tears, she felt crazy. Right now, though, she was happy.

"Yeah, you get to meet my crazy Dad. He's pretty chilled though so its nothing to worry about. I'm sorry you had to see my friend in such a state before. We can watch films or do anything you like"

It warmed her heart to see Beck so enthusiastic and she couldn't help but smile as he pulled her along. She was excited to meet someone in his family, to see a little bit further into his life and get to know him that much more. "Slow down! My legs can't take me as fast as yours. If you haven't noticed, I'm smaller than you! You're going to have to carry me at this rate." She said, laughing all the while.

Beck Hades.

"I guess I'll never be obvious enough,"
"Maybe I'll move out, but what fool could ever want a wreck like me?"

Beck was starting to wonderer if the brunette was hinting on to something here. He was scared to admit he knew that she was starting to hint onto something. It was basically like they were tossing back and forth compliments and shards of admitting their secrets. However, his brain would not allow Beck to understand such things and so he kept lying to himself over and over again. Being honest it was tearing him in two, one half loved this flirty friendship and another craved for her affection. "I know a fool who would want a wreck like you," The blonde said in a very light hearted tone of voice; clearly he was playing along with this heart breaking love game. Though he meant everything he said.

"If you want to, maybe you'll find out one day,"

"I'd make you feel incredible Elisa. I'd have you clawing at my begging for more..." He growled, his lips basically kissing hers softly with every word that came out of his mouth. Though this was not intentional, it most certainly added to the affect. Becks pupils locked seductively with her eyes and even when he pulled away his glare still hung on her.

"You don't have to beg me, Beck. As long as you'll have me around, I'll be with you."

More and more of this itching hinting sensation pulled at his heart strings. The youth slowly patted her soft brunette hair as she pulled into him for a hug. "Promise me?" He whispered as he held this very broken and ill girl...as he held his lover.

"Slow down! My legs can't take me as fast as yours. If you haven't noticed, I'm smaller than you! You're going to have to carry me at this rate."

"Jesus Christ woman!" Beck laughed before sharply scooping Elisa up from under her knees, pulling her into his arms 'just married' style, and began to run as though he was holding a mere feather. "You asked for it so don't you dare complain girl."

***

Beck's house was one of those buildings with the arched windows and vines growing along the walls; more than likely it was farm house in its less grand days. Though the garden was clearly once very neat and filled with a hundred different flowers it was now over grown and had a feral atmosphere to it. He opened a red door and walked inside to be greeted by a old fashioned large oak kitchen. News papers and brief doodles were scattered along the table but other than that it was rather tidy and pleasant. "Dad?" The blonde shouted, waving for Elisa to follow him into the living room which had clearly been converted into a art office.

The place was canvas filled and smelled thick of paint, leaves and oddly mint. In the centre of the room stood a man with the same golden hair as Beck and a light beard along his jaw. His was handsome and looked very warm hearted, jeans and shirt lightly splattered in acrylic, though the bags under his eyes were unmissable. Insomnia was Sam's huge issue. He glared over his shoulder at the pair before giving a soft smile in Elisa's direction. "Brought home a cutie eh? Nice to meet you. Call me Sam, yeah?"

The sexual tension is strong in that one.
------
"I know a fool who would want a wreck like you,"

She was taken back by this comment and her eyes immediately met with his. She couldn't help but feel as though this were some sort of admission, but still she kept denying that Beck could return her feelings. It was a silly game they were playing, one they could end if one would just own up to what was probably so obvious to everyone else in the world. I hope the fool is you. She thought, but didn't say. In fact, she didn't know what to say to him at all, but she did smile and she hoped that that said enough.

"I'd make you feel incredible Elisa. I'd have you clawing at my begging for more..."

Elisa was pretty sure that had they not been wide out in the open, for the entire world to see, she would have taken a ride on his disco stick right then and there. All the things she would let him do to her, the thoughts that ran through her head, were definitely not appropriate for a seventeen year old "lady." She sucked in a breath and pulled away from him, lust still in her eyes. "Watch yourself, Beck or I might forget what it means to be a respectable girl." She whispered with a smirk on her face. That boy would be the death of her.

"Promise me?"

"Cross my heart," She answered, still holding tightly on to him. Everything about that promise broke her heart and melted it all at once, but even so she was telling the truth. As long as Beck wanted her, she would stand by his side, whether that was as a friend or something more it didn't matter.

"You asked for it so don't you dare complain girl."

She squealed happily when Beck picked her up and laughed as he ran. It was a cute scene, one fit for a movie or novel. "Drop me and I'll kill you, Beck Hades!" She yelled, though she was still laughing and smiling.

____

She wasn't sure what to expect when they finally arrived at Beck's house. She wasn't use to the "normal" standard of living, but what she saw still impressed her. It may have been a tad overgrown, but it definitely gave off a warmer vibe than her house did and she found it quite beautiful. It was a thousand times better than the house she came home to everyday, which was very cold and harsh. It was like comparing a harsh Russian winter to a California summer, in her mind at least.

"Brought home a cutie eh? Nice to meet you. Call me Sam, yeah?"

She focused her eyes at the man that had introduced himself and it was clear that this had to be Beck's father, they looked too alike not to be father and son. She smiled back and gave a little wave of her hand. "It's nice to meet you too. I'm Elisa," She said cheerfully albeit in her typical quiet, shy voice.

Sam bowed his head in the brunettes direction before sticking a paint brush back in between his teeth and turning back to his painting. The masterpiece sure was beautiful, but no where near finished as white gaps and undetailed strips lay all along its surface. It was painted in water colour, forming the image of a armoured girl riding a horse along the river bank. At first glance it was in the style of the same old historical drawing, but with closer interest it was clear Becks father was working into it with odd unnatural flashes of colour and pieces of hair and fur extending in a fantasy like form. Kind of odd, but it worked.

"Come on," The blonde said, lightly tugging at Elisa's arm and pulling her along a corridor of framed images and potted plants. The house itself felt quite warm, but as the climbed two pairs of stairs the attic was rather chilly, but not enough to want to leave. Beck loved having the attic as his bedroom, as it had a huge bay window that he could sit and look across his town through. Of course he'd never admit that, it was such a pussy thought. Beck's room was quite like Beck. Somehow it still looked classy even with the paper scattered across the desks and shoes and underwear littering the floor. The walls were midnight blue and his own drawings were framed on one side of the room, alongside some pictures of him and his "friends".

The youth slid off his jacket and hung it on a peg at the back of the door before throwing his body onto a large double bed. "Make yourself at home, sorry about the bit of mess. Are your parents alright with this?" Beck asked, meeting eyes with the girl. "I mean...I don't know they might be a little protective of you after Jess," He patted the space on the sheets along side him and shuffled upwards to give her more room. Being honest, Beck would not have liked to give her room. Beck would like to be as close to Elisa as possible. Both for sexual and comforting reasons.

"It's been a while since I had a girl in my room,"

Hey. It's cool. :)
I'm a bit busy with work right now because of the holidays, so I understand.
---

Elisa quietly admired Sam's artwork, though she was too shy to say anything about it. While the subject matter wasn't exactly her cup of tea, she could see the man had talent and she wouldn't mind one of his pieces hanging in her own room. She painted occasionally, though not nearly as much as she would like to. For her it was more of a hobby and a way to vent her feelings - most of what she painted contained dark content or twisted nature scenes - and it was never anything she considered going for as a career, but she could appreciate talent when she saw it. "That's beautiful," She finally managed to tell Beck's father in a voice that was barely above of a whisper.

"Come on,"

And then she was being whisked away by Beck down a strange corridor of a house she had never visited before today. The two flights of stairs - even in her massive home there was only one she had to climb up - were enough to make Elisa feel particularly weak in her sickly state and she was glad when they finally reached his room. Beck's bedroom reminded her a lot of her own, though there were quite a few differences...one being that it wasn't as clean as her own. She looked at the underwear on the floor and giggled. "I was sure I'd see your underwear one day, but not quite like this." Sometimes Elisa had the humor of a man.

She breathed a quiet sigh of relief as he laid down on the bed and she plopped down next to him, snuggling against his body despite the fact he had given her plenty of room. She was cold and he was Beck, why would she even want to sit a good few inches away?

"Are your parents alright with this?"
"I don't know they might be a little protective of you after Jess."

"They were embarrassed. As long as I don't embarrass them again they don't give a shit what I do or who I'm with. I could die and they wouldn't care." She said it rather sharply, though there was a hint of something sad in her voice. Given the circumstances, she probably could have used better words...but it was the truth. Her parents never should have had a child and she was sure they often wished they hadn't. She was a mess up and a nuisance, nothing that they dreamed their child would ever be. She wasn't perfect and unless she was, they didn't think she was worth the time or effort to be a parent.

"It's been a while since I had a girl in my room,"

Elisa laughed and looked up at him. "Am I supposed to be honored, then?" She asked teasingly.

(Happy thanks giving? Wtf is that? Its July over there? I don't understand -.- Is that like Christmas in summer? Turkey yum.)

Beck Hades.

"I was sure I'd see your underwear one day, but not quite like this."

The golden haired male twisted his vision so he glared directly at her with such lust and amusement. "Are you there planning fate Elisa Grace? I heard what you said. You are SURE you'd get to see my underwear one day!" Beck growled, spluttering out soft laughter as he spoke. His eyes gleamed bright. "My god I'd love to climb inside that mind of yours one day you know...climb into bed with you too." The worlds just slid off his tongue so easily. So easy in fact it was kind of hard to cover up the fact that it was not just a joke.

As the brunette girl tucked into his warm body he let out a soft sigh. This was pleasant and something he wanted to spend everyday doing, though being honest these encounters with Elisa were in fact becoming more and more common as each living day passed. He guessed that the pair of them did need all the comfort they could get right now though. Life was not exactly being too kind on either of their fragile hearts.

"They were embarrassed. As long as I don't embarrass them again they don't give a shit what I do or who I'm with. I could die and they wouldn't care."

A thin frown formed on Beck's lips as she spoke those very words. He really did want to turn round and tell her that what she had said was a lie and that her parents most certainly did care about her, but they seemed to overwhelmed by their reputation and odd life style to even notice their daughter, who was pleading out for comfort and help, really existed. It made him sick in the stomach. "I care. That's what matters right? I am pretty sure you can't embarrass someone like me if you tried your very best." He whispered with his lips against the back of her ear as he flipped over the small thin girl and spooned her, folding his warmth around Elisa better than blankets ever could.

"Am I supposed to be honoured, then?"

"You should treasure my company," He devilishly laughed, nuzzling his face into the back of her hair which seemed to be scented with some kind of fruit. "Being honest I have not had many girls I have been all that close to. Not really anyway. Shocking, isn't it?" The youth said, his tone laced with sarcasm. He could only really think of Millie that was another female who hit close to relationship standards, but even then he did not really feel anything more than respect for the red head, sometimes not even that. She was a tough one to read Millie. "So I guess it is me that should be honoured, not you,"

Thanksgiving: A national holiday that gives us an excuse to take a couple days off (most of us, except me) and devour turkey at astonishing rates despite the fact we really don't like it. Relatives also tend to come down for this event and there's really no point to it other than that.

I guess it's about being thankful and pilgrims and indians and shit, but nobody really gives a fuck about that.
----

"My god I'd love to climb inside that mind of yours one day you know...climb into bed with you too."

The lines in Beck and Elisa's relationship were so incredibly blurred now that she couldn't tell if this was said in jest or if it was an actual flirtation. A bloom of rosy color crossed her cheeks and she grinned. "Well then, my bed is always open for you so long as you can handle it. My mind, however...I can't go letting you know all of my secrets, can I?" The first part of her statement was accompanied with a wink and the next a small, flirty giggle. Here she was, snuggling a boy who wasn't her boyfriend and teasing him with sexual invites, and in that moment she hadn't a care in the world.

"I care. That's what matters right? I am pretty sure you can't embarrass someone like me if you tried your very best."

His whispers in her ear warmed her heart and his body heat warmed her cool body. It was almost enough to make her forget that she was always cold, always weak, and very ill. Then her dark thoughts came creeping in as they usually did, telling her that he probably thought she felt large and doughy in his arms, even though she knew he thought she was far too thin - he had said as much. "I'm sure I'll find a way to fuck everything up, I always do. But I haven't yet and that's good, because I really need you in my life." She said, her words hushed.

Her thoughts were broken for a moment, as she suddenly remembered why wearing dresses was a bad idea. When he flipped her over, her dress had inched up exposing an almost indecent amount of thigh and she was so ensnared in his grip that she was unable to fix it without being completely obvious. Because Beck clearly needs some eye candy.

"So I guess it is me that should be honoured, not you,"

Elisa shook her head. "I am just honored to be your friend, Beck." The word friend felt wrong coming out of her mouth, but she had no other term to use. She felt that had passed a normal friendship long ago, but hadn't quite made it to any other label. She took one of his hands that was wrapped around her and lightly kissed his fingertips. "I adore you," She said, but only because she couldn't use the word love without knowing for sure he felt the same about her.

Beck Hades.

"Well then, my bed is always open for you so long as you can handle it. My mind, however...I can't go letting you know all of my secrets, can I?"

Beck turned away as the blood slowly began to rise to his cheek bones at her comment and wink. Even if it was a joke, it sent spirals of thoughts swarm though his mind that made it difficult to look her directly in the eye, and so he turned away, trying to force himself to cut it out and focus on something else. He reminded himself of how sad her second sentence was and how it kind up upset him how Elisa had to keep her heart closed to someone even as close as he was. "And why not Elisa?" He asked politely in a quiet tone. "Why can I not know all your secrets? Don't you trust me?"

"I'm sure I'll find a way to fuck everything up, I always do. But I haven't yet and that's good, because I really need you in my life."

"Oh shut up. I swear no matter what, I'll stay here. For the sake of free cuddles." The blonde said in just a quiet voice as her own, giving her small frame a quick squeeze of comfort that tried to wipe a smile back onto her pink lips. "It's me who's more likely to fuck up, and that scares me, you know?" Beck explained. After all he did lead a violent gang who were currently on the brink of bloodshed with another pack. It was almost written fate to say he would fail, either losing her or himself.

"I am just honored to be your friend, Beck."
"I adore you,"

Beck shook his head. "Nothing to adore at all. Nothing to honour either." He said, shivering when her kiss met his fingers to which he was silenced before returning to favour with a soft peck on the area where her shoulders met with her neck.

It was at that point his eyes glanced over her body before noticing the amount of flesh displayed below her dress. It made a small hidden smirk grin on his face; she sure was quite something to look at. It made a odd questionable thought spark in his mind. Why was she like that in the hospital? And what would she do if he teased her a little now? It only took a second of thought before Beck's lust got the best of him and he reached to her thigh and began slowly stroking the inside of her leg with warm rough hands. He pulled away quickly, realising how inconsiderate and out of hand he was acting. The blonde then gently pulled her dress down to cover a little more before burying his face into the pillow mumbling quietly. "S..Sorry. Sorry."

"Why can I not know all your secrets? Don't you trust me?"

She smirked and nodded her head. "I trust you, but do I know all of your secrets, Beck?" She asked, raising an eyebrow. If she told him she loved him, that would be her last secret to give him, and he probably didn't want it. She was curious though, if he had any more secrets to tell her, or if he would tell her if he did. He was in a gang after all, maybe he killed a guy...though she wasn't sure if she could stomach something like that.

"Oh shut up. I swear no matter what, I'll stay here. For the sake of free cuddles."

"Ah. So you only hang around me for the free cuddles, I see how it is." Elisa teased him, a silly grin on her face. She wondered what people thought when they saw them together; they certainly didn't act like your average pair of best friends. It seemed like they were always touching in one way or another, and kissing everywhere they could without their lips actually touching. They acted more like a couple than some of the real couples at their school.

"It's me who's more likely to fuck up, and that scares me, you know?"

"Why does that scare you? Do you think I'll abandon you if something goes wrong? Don't be stupid," She said, tracing the veins on his hands with one of her cool fingers. His hands felt so warm against hers, she could never seem to get warm no matter how hard she tried.

"Nothing to adore at all. Nothing to honour either."

The kiss to her neck all but paralyzed her for a moment and she relaxed into his arms, very content to be there with his lips against her skin. It took her a moment to gather herself enough to respond, but she managed. "Don't say that," Elisa told him, shaking her head. "You care about people enough to put yourself in danger for them. That's more than enough. You also make me happy." She breathed a slightly frustrated sigh.

It was then that she felt his hands on her thigh and her cheeks turned a color that made it look like she was wearing too much blush. "S..Sorry. Sorry." She heard him say through the chills his action had sent down her spine. She was disappointed he stopped and flipped herself over to face him. "Don't be," She whispered in his ear. "I don't mind." After having said that, she pressed her lips against his cheek and laid down on her side, facing him. She thought it was funny, the fact that he had his face buried into his pillow like a little kid who had done something wrong, and she laughed quietly.

Beck Hades.

"I trust you, but do I know all of your secrets, Beck?"

The blonde sighed lightly at her response, and tucked his face behind her back as though it would make him vanish into thin air. "I only have one or two more secrets you don't know, how about you?" Beck questioned in a soft, almost unfamiliar voice. It was as though his confidence had been completely stripped from his character. Kind of sad to experience being honest, but sometimes it was nice to just stay and be quiet and have your emotions run their course, instead of plastering your personality with something fake.

"Why does that scare you? Do you think I'll abandon you if something goes wrong? Don't be stupid,"

"You know," He said lowly. "If things were going to hurt you, I'd leave you. I don't want to stress you out more than you already are. It's not fair you...knowing about me as it is." Beck explained as he pulled the brunette closer towards him and hugged her slim waist longingly. A series of thoughts and flash backs took over his tongue and emotions. "Why did you follow me back then? Curiosity killed the cat, eh?"

You care about people enough to put yourself in danger for them. That's more than enough. You also make me happy."

Beck did not know what to say. That was always what he felt me was doing but another, more honest part of him kept reminding him how stupid the whole situation. He let out a soft fake laugh. "Caring? Is that what it is? It's not just foolishness. I really don't know what to do anymore. Especially now."

After the little scenario with Beck getting the better of himself Elisa had flipped herself to be laid right in front of him, so close their noses were brushing softly. Both their faces were cooling down with embarrassment; he could feel the warmth beating from her skin, like summer.

"I don't mind."

"What is that?" The youth laughed lightly, eyes bright, he was clearly rather humoured and confused. "Is that acceptance of apology, flirting...or..." Beck paused, pulling his pupils away from her eyes as he spoke the last words. "A invite." Of course he did not expect any kind of serious response from her, still he still questioned her forgiveness.

"I only have one or two more secrets you don't know, how about you?"

Elisa smiled and shrugged her shoulders. "There's not much you don't know about me and I think you know the worst." She wondered what secrets he had that she didn't already know, though she doubted they could be much worse than his involvement in a gang. His change in tone didn't go unnoticed and struck a chord with her. While she loved her fun loving, flirty Beck, the raw and unedited version tugged at her heartstrings even more. She brushed her fingers through his hair and smiled. "How did I manage to snag a friend like you, when all the other girls tried so hard to even get your attention?"

"If things were going to hurt you, I'd leave you. I don't want to stress you out more than you already are. It's not fair you...knowing about me as it is."

There was no way on Earth she could respond to that statement. She didn't have the words and even though he meant it in a completely kind or even selfless way, it hurt and the idea kind of terrified her. Maybe she had grown a little codependent, or maybe she was selfish, but she didn't want to lose him. Not even if it meant she would get hurt. She buried her face in his shoulder to hide her face. As of late, she'd worn her emotions on her face and it was getting increasingly more difficult to hide it.

"Why did you follow me back then? Curiosity killed the cat, eh?"

Her face remained buried as she answered, though she did briefly look up. "We were in a bad area, I got a bad feeling. I followed. My feeling wasn't exactly wrong, was it?" She told him and shrugged. There was really nothing more than that to tell him. She wanted to make sure he was okay.

"Caring? Is that what it is? It's not just foolishness. I really don't know what to do anymore. Especially now."

"It's absolutely foolish and I don't think you should have gotten involved in it in the first place," Elisa said, her tone rather sharp though she didn't mean for it to be. She cleared her throat before continuing in a softer tone. "But, you are involved in it now and I think your heart is in the right place. Though I still say you run away and never look back, but I'm selfish so what do I know, huh?" She absolutely hated that he was putting himself in danger and risking his life for the sake of people who were...beneath him. Maybe it was her upbringing making her feel that way and she would never ever tell him that, but she understood that he had some sort of connection with them...though she didn't understand how.

"Is that acceptance of apology, flirting...or...an invite?"

She smirked, her face still warm with color and her heart pounding slightly harder than before. "Maybe it's all three," She said quietly, her eyes narrowing on his despite the fact he looked away. "What do you want it to be, Beck?" She realized she was walking on thin ice and possibly making it awkward in the worst way possible, but she couldn't stop herself.

(LONG POST. GOT CARRIED AWAY. URGH.)

Beck Hades.

"There's not much you don't know about me and I think you know the worst."

Beck kind of found it uncomfortable how she called it the worst, even though he could not see any bad pieces of her anywhere. It was not the words he would have personally used but he did not know if he should, or even how to, correct her. Instead he just lightly kissed her jaw as a sign of comfort while trying to push the sad thin frown from his face. Elisa and him had quite a bit in common really; both utterly fucked up and needing eachother.

"How did I manage to snag a friend like you, when all the other girls tried so hard to even get your attention?"

He shook his head slowly before shrugging, not understanding why she decided to bring this up so suddenly. "I don't know why I get a lot of attention. Apparently I'm attractive, I don't see what's to like though." Beck explained. Being honest he was tired of his so called admirers with their fake laughs and dirty words; mostly cause they reminded him too much of himself. "I like you. You are better than them. You have more than a teaspoon of personality and I'm pretty sure if they knew the same as you do now, you'd be the only one still at my side." He said, with a long, drawn out sigh. "You're lovely. That's why you are my friend."

"We were in a bad area, I got a bad feeling. I followed. My feeling wasn't exactly wrong, was it?"
"But, you are involved in it now and I think your heart is in the right place. Though I still say you run away and never look back, but I'm selfish so what do I know, huh?"

Beck felt a lump form in his throat as the girl began to hide in his shoulder blades. He wanted her packed with confidence and to be happy and feel safe around him, though he guessed it was kind of nice to be seen as her hiding and quiet spot. Somewhere to get away from everything, or maybe she was just clinging onto him, begging him not to leave her. "You really did not need to see that Elisa." He swallowed hard. The situation would be much better with that memory wiped from her mind.

"It's absolutely foolish and I don't think you should have gotten involved in it in the first place,"

"You sound like my Mother," The blonde laughed lightly, before realising the seriousness of what she had stated and quickly clamping his jaws shut with an giving a apologetic glare. He did agree with what she said completely though, but it was different now. "I can't drop them like that. The man who is to take my role when I go will throw the place into shit and people will get hurt, but I can't keep myself safe either anymore, never mind my friends."

"What do you want it to be, Beck?"

Beck's grin was dark and seductive. He was rather surprised by her answers being honest and really did not know what to say back. The blonde wanted to know what she had on her mind before he made a choice on whether to advance or drop the dirty jokes and lust controlled actions. He wanted to know if she was comfortable, but still he did not think he could bring herself to sleep with her without knowing if she really loved him anyway. Beck did not want to be used for sex...again. "Most definitely all three..." He whispered quietly, barely able to be heard. The youth's strong arms suddenly scooped up Elisa and sat her on his crotch, where he paused for a moment just looking at her and trying to read her responses.

"Apparently I'm attractive..."
"You're lovely. That's why you are my friend."

She smiled and kissed his cheek. "I bet you didn't realize what you were getting yourself into, befriending me. Not many people would stick it out, after learning about everything." She told him as she wrinkled her nose. "Then again, not many people tried to be my friend anyway. I'm too quiet and antisocial...but then some guy had to come talk to me and ruin it all." She teased, nudging him a little.

"By the way, you are attractive," Elisa added on rather coyly. She was just a friend telling another friend that they were physically appealing in a totally platonic way. Except that she wasn't. She meant that he was attractive, or completely her type.

"You really did not need to see that Elisa."

And you don't need to live it, Beck. She thought and shrugged her shoulders. "A little blood doesn't bother me," She told him, though it really wasn't just a small amount she had seen that day. The memory was still pretty vivid in her mind, like she had just seen it seconds ago.

"I can't drop them like that. The man who is to take my role when I go will throw the place into shit and people will get hurt, but I can't keep myself safe either anymore, never mind my friends."

Elisa pursed her lips into a thin line and shook her head. "I think...I think we need to change the subject." She wanted to tell him to stop caring what happened to them and to worry about himself, to just run away from it all. It was so frustrating to her that she couldn't say these things and that she couldn't just make him walk away from it. It made her so upset that he could just get hurt and be gone one day because of his dangerous lifestyle, she was sure she could yell at him for hours about it.

"I don't like it and I can't change your mind and all it's going to do is make me cry or make you mad and I just don't want to deal with that." She said all on one breath. She didn't want to deal with a lot of things and that was part of her problem, but she wanted to be happy right now.

"Most definitely all three..."

She was about to say something sassy or flirty when all of the sudden she was being moved and plopped right on top of Beck, leaving her straddling him for the second time in two days. For a moment, Elisa just sat in shock, unsure of what to say or do, but then a cheeky grin made an appearance on her face and she gave a quiet laugh. She leaned down, her lips just grazing his ear as she spoke. "Is this flirting or an invite?" She whispered seductively, mimicking his words from just moments before. Now this didn't mean she wasn't embarrassed, because she was and she had the blush to prove it; she was just too caught up in their fun to want it to end. She could feel her heart pounding in her chest and she was almost afraid he could hear or see it. The scene reminded her of what happened at the hospital, though it wasn't as desperate and sad.
