Bex."I'd have pick-locked the door"
"I'd have smashed the window."Rebecca stopped and stared at them for a moment, slack-jawed. It wasn't a response she expected, but then again she wasn't at all sure what too expect from these two. "Elisa keeps interesting company these days. The guys we played with would have tossed her to the nearest boy willing to take her home. And you two would break into her house. Is that better or worse? I don't know." She knew that probably came out way worse than she had originally meant it, but she shrugged it off. It wasn't exactly a lie. If they were both to fucked up to do anything, they usually woke up with idea where they were.
"Anyways, good thing you won't be getting arrested then. Do you really think you could bypass their security system by picking a lock or God forbid, break a window? I have a feeling you're not from around this neighborhood." She shook her head. She knew Elisa had opted to go to a public school and figured she had met these two boys there. Some choices Elisa made, Rebecca wouldn't understand to save her life.
Elisa."You have a big fucking house.""Really? I thought it was kind of small." Her voice was teasing and she giggled as she said it, obviously she was joking. She knew her house was god awfully huge. "They need a house big enough to contain their massive egos." She looked at Leon and nearly laughed again about how funny he looked here - even more out of place than Beck. Her mother would have a heart attack if she saw Leon, with all of his tattoos. She almost wished she would catch him here, though that was unlikely.
"I'm so pissed at you...you have no idea how pissed I am at you. Two hours you said! Even then it's not fair or alright.""Don't be mad, B. I love you. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I just wanted to have fun. You don't have to worry always." She pouted and snuggled even further into Beck, trying to warm herself and wishing that her headache would just go away, along with the funny numbness she felt in her teeth and back of her throat.
Bex."She must be a sick woman your Mother."Rebecca laughed out loud at that, though she quickly covered her mouth. "Have you ever met the woman? She'll suck the life out of a room with just a look. Talk about someone trying to push their failed dream onto their daughter. She was never tall enough to get jobs...probably not pretty enough either. All of the blonde weaves in the world couldn't get that bitch a spot on a runway...or even a Penney's catalog. Elisa's 5'7 and pretty, it infuriates Diane that she won't do anything with it." Bex knew a lot about Elisa's family, not everything, but a lot more than most people. She had hung around enough and was pretty observant enough - or really good at eavesdropping, either way - to figure things out.
"Her dad's really quiet. Doesn't say much. He's hard to figure out, but I'm told he's really great at whatever the fuck he does, and a lot more personable at his business meetings. Haven't got to sit in one of those yet. Eventually, maybe, if I get an internship after high school." The thing about Bex is, along with her bitchiness, she could talk for hours about anything; especially if it was about other people. She liked being able to throw out facts and other stupid shit that people probably didn't need to know. "Anyways, Leon are you stay-" She was cut off.
"Lissy are you having a sleep over, why are there so many people here?" Said the little red head standing in the door frame with sleepy eyes and holding a teddy bear.
"Holy fuck someone woke the Gremlin." Bex said, noticeably uneasy.
Elisa/JessAt the sound of her daughter's voice, Elisa immediately sat up in the bed and looked nervously at everyone in the room. "Jessie? What are you doing up?" She said, trying very hard not to slur her words despite her head spinning and while she sounded less drunk - you could definitely still tell she wasn't sober. Her heart was pounding so hard she thought she was going to have a heart attack. Of the people in her room, only one knew that Jess was her kid...and she had that solace, but she didn't remember that she had said something pretty damning to Leon earlier in the night.
"I heard you leave and waited for you to get back. I can't sleep when you're not here." Jess said with a pout, grumpy and very tired. She wobbled sleepily over to Leon and looked up at him, a tiny mouse in comparison. "Who are you? The mean one is Bex." The little girl glared in Rebecca's direction, and Rebecca responded by sticking her tongue out. Jess returned her attention to Leon. "And Beck is a secret right now. Are you a secret? My real name is Jessa, but Lissy calls me Jessie and everyone else calls me Jess."
