Arianna felt her eyes flutter open, she smelt the faint scent of mold and crinkled her nose in disgust, "Where in the bloody hell am I?"
her british accent, betraying her as she pulled herself up. She was in different clothes than she remembered, she didn't even own a knee-high
white sundress! Where was her blue jeans and crop top? No matter. Arianna pushed it aside when she noticed many other people in the room, girls
her age and a little older wearing the same white dress as her, and guys in white button down shirts and black pants. No one had shoes, nor any
belongings they owned before, Arianna pulled her knees to her frightened, laying her head on them. Her hairbow was even missing! Her long blonde
hair flew free from the tight bun that usually made it appear awfully short. Her blue eyes scanned the room for an exit, but the door nor the
windows looked weak enough to budge. She kept her space, curled up in the corner of the bottom bunk she awoke on, "Well whoever kidnapped us, they
at least had the decency to give us each a bed.." she sighed, "How am I supposed to very well escape if they don't leave me something to pick that
blasted lock with?" she growled softly to herself, "W-wait..this room is co-ed.." she blushed a bit at the thought, "We better not have to use the
bath room infront of them, I swear heads will roll for forcing such indecency upon us!" she ranted, to herself since no one else had awoken, at least
to her knowledge, "Great. You've really became a spoild brat Arianna." she mumbled to herself, tugging on her blonde locks as she burried her face
harder against her knees.

Near Arianna's bunk, on another bed a young man of about 18 was sitting, his hands intertwined below his chin, giving him a brooding appearance. His dark hair crept near his black eyes, and his face betrayed no thoughts or feelings. He seemed to have awoken long before.
He glanced at Arianna, one of the few people who had yet awoken, before returning to his brooding pose, sitting with his elbows balanced on his knees, his back bent forward.

Rolling over in the dirty light that flooded the room, Annete rolled over in her bed. She yawned heavily pressing her face against the soft pillow that cushioned her head. It was a miracle that she found any joy in anything anymore, but it couldn't be helped...she was in a terrible place, full of less than perfect- no, terrible people too. Or at least terrible adults. She pushed herself up, and popped her back as she did so, before lifting the blanket from her, and stood up. She streched again once standing, looking at the others in the room. Some were fast asleep, and others were rolling trying to get back to sleep. She envied them, getting to rest a tad longer than she did.

Deciding not to waste any more time simply standing around thinking, she walked over to her dresser. She lifted her nightgown (actually, a long, worn T-shirt) from her, followed by her underwear. She folded them, before resting them on the top of the dresser. She started off to the groups shared bathroom, not caring whom did or didn't see her streaking. She had already been degraded far beyond being nude in front of others her age. She walked into the shower side of the bathing room, and walked to a wall mounted shower, turning the faucet all the way to hot, and steping in the almost instantly steaming water. She washed quickly, keeping a slight humming tune as she scrubbed away with no extreme graphic detail.

After ten minutes, the water cut off as she twisted the nob, and she shook her head, flinging the excess water in every direction. She walked to a shelf located away from the showers, and aquired a towel drying herself again, and wrapping it around her head, to help dry her boundless brown hair. She made sure she dry enough not to leave a trail of water as she walked back through the bedroom, still to find most of the others still sleeping. She walked back to her dresser, and began to jokingly contemplate what she was to wear today. As if she had much of a choice. Most of her selection was school attire, although she had some nice things that were to worn on formal or private occasions. She dressed herself quickly, her outerwear consisting of a white blouse, with a blue and black plaid skirt that rested upon her lower thighs. She pulled knee high socks up her legs, and slid her feet into her shoes. She didn't feel like messing with her hair today, so she would just leave it down, though she would take the towel from it, and combing it mildly with her fingers untill remotely frizz free.

A woman poked her head through the door of the bedroom, seeing Annete at the other side. "Oh, good! You're already up...and ready to go! How thoughtful! Last time someone had to come in here and wake you...and it was not pretty!" The woman said in a kind, soft voice. Surely she was no captor...but probably just one of the random faces around the establishment. Annete quietly nodded, and walked towards her. She was a very mature girl for her age, but only because she'd been exposed to so much of the raw world. "I'm expected in the kitchen?" She would ask, her eyes nearly level with the woman's, being maybe two inches shorter than her. "Indeed you are. I'll make sure to let them know that you're helping around here." The woman replied again.

Annete walked from the child's Cells, and down the hallway, following the woman to the kitchen. She had to be escorted everywhere...as if being here over 8 months wasn't enough time to learn she wouldn't escape on her own. It was so silent in the mornings..you might here voices speaking in the distance, or whatnot...but there was no major activity going on. And it was particularly silent now, as she could only hear her and her escort's footsteps echoing through the hall.

It wasn't long before she came to the kitchen. "I'll be coming to escort you wherever instructed after breakfast. I believe I can trust you with the rest of the faculty here, yes?" The woman asked her. "Yes ma'am." Annete politely responded. The woman walked away and left Anne in the kitchen, as she was used to. At least the other meal preparers (They weren't really...cooks, more of lunch ladies, on a much different scale...) found her company enjoyable, and vice versa. Though it was all because they were past age 60 and all thought she was adorable. She didn't care much though. It was better than being drug around, or being force to follow a captor or one of the other employees that nearly constantly claimed to own her for their own use.

She adorned an apron, which drug the floor as she walked over to a stove, stepped up on a stepping stool that had been placed there precisely for her, and turning it on. Next to the cooking device were all the things she needed this particular morning...after all it was a Monday. She liked to help some of the new captives ease into their new enviorment, and it gave older ones something to look forward to...so she made pancakes normally every Monday. She gathered everything she needed, and proceeded to make the breakfast cakes. She was again, humming the tune she hummed in the shower, breaking the silence of the batter cooking in the frying pan.

A man stepped through the double doors of the kitchen with a broad smile on his face. He was wearing a suit, and had his hair slicked back. He strode through the white tiled room, untill he was directly behind Annete. She felt his presense behind her, but didn't turn around. She knew he was there. He was there every day. He would come and visit her in the mornings....

"Hey, Little Cook." He said in a deep but smooth voice; a deceptive skill for this man. He patted her still slightly damp head. "How are you doing today?" He asked her cooly. "I'm fine, Sir. Thank you. And you, Sir?" Her voice was completely flat; monotone. She said that to him every day, and he acted the next like she would say something different. "Oh, I'm alright, I suppose...but I'm a little sore, and uptight today. I might be pulling you away privately to give me a massage later." His voice slithered into her head like a kiniving snake. He said the word "Massage" as if she didn't know what was in store for her whenever he said he needed something like that. "Of course, Sir." Her voice again rang out as completely emotionless. "Goood...then I'll see you later, Sweetheart." He said with a laugh under his breath. He was one of the ones she hated her. She wished she would've thrown hot pancake batter in his face, and watched it stick to his ugly mug and burn him so badly that....She didn't go any further detail than that. She wanted to stay focused on breakfast for right now at least.

She had the heat on high, so she was making the fluffy bread at quite the rate. Nothing extrodinary, but she had made perhaps 30 hand sized pancakes, enough for ten people to have three each. The other meal preparer...people...also had been making some, so she assumed that they had enough for the entire building staff. Probably even seconds if they wanted it.... She turned off the stove, pushed the stool over, and began to put the pancakes onto a plate, three per plate, before dousing them with syrup, supplied by a pantry.

Breakfast was not far off, and soon the plates would be loaded onto a cart and wheeled around to the separate cells that the captives were fed in. She again, usually went with the servers to do this. She liked meeting the new captives, and trying to brighten their day as much as she could in the span of the few minutes she would spend in their eating cell.

Annete waited for the other servers to be ready to go, and the okay to start moving the food to the feeding cells...

Arianna lifted her head and frowned to herself, "Well, I suppose moping about won't help anything at all." she sighed as she slid her slender legs off of the bed, pushing herself to the edge before slowly standing up, wary of the top bunk as to not hit her head. She glanced side to side before taking a step further, "I-I'm Arianna, nice to meet all of you.." she whispered, not yet adapted to her situation. She walked over to the window, tilting her head to the side, "This doesn't look too sturdy.." she chuckled, wrapping her slender fingers around the wire sealing. She quickly withdrew after the first

tug, viewing her hands with displeasure, "Bloody wires.." she mumbled, going for a second tug, despite getting shocked the first time. She jerked her hands back once again and turned her back to the wall, leaning against it, pouting slightly,
"They've thought of everything!" she almost laughed to herself in her hysteria. She let herself slide down the wall and she shook her head. She ripped the white sundress she was wearing and took the rip and parted it again into two long strands, wrapping each around her palms. "We're never going to get out of here."

She took a deep breath and smiled, "Since we're stuck here we might as well get to know eachother, to anyone thats listening.. I'm Arianna Lynn Smith, I'm sixteen, I'm a sophmore in highschool and I can pick locks, if you can count that as a skill." Arianna coughed lightly, in result bringing her chest closer to her knees, "Who's next?" she asked kindly.

Carrie sat up in bed, looking around the room. She pulled her knees to her chest, balancing on the heels of her hands, she glanced at the black cargo pants she wore, she would've been shoved into a plain white dress or something like that, but the guy who had tried to force her had gotten a bloody nose and a kick to the gut. He didn't like that very much. She swung her legs over the side of the mattress, her feet touching the ground. She looked around the room, a tiny stream of sunlight filtered between the steel bars of the one window in the room. She walked over to it. She slipped her hand in the small space in between the bars. Her fingers touched the glass. She dragged her long fingernails over the surface, feeling for the tiniest crack, or a spot where the glass was thin or any weak spot. She flicked the glass, and waited to see if it would have any effect, she felt the glass give just the tiniest bit, and a little hope flooded back to her. She looked around. The doors were locked of course, so she made her way to the unisex bathrooms, not exactly her cup of tea, but oh well. She splashed cold water over her face, making her really wake up. She shook her head, releasing the water from the tips of her hair that had been sprayed as well by the spicket.
She walkedback outside, fingering her belt, though nothing was going to happen for a while. She punched the air, hooking her arm around as if she were actually fighting, at least it was better then laying in bed.

The young glanced over at the girl near him, fruitlessly tugging at the wires at the window. After seeing her get shocked, he stood up, and walked to the girl.
"Those wires are electric," he muttered quietly, his voice barely reaching the ears of anyone around him. "They won't open. I already checked everything I could."
He looked down at the girl who had introduced herself as Arianna, and bowed his head.
"My name is Okazaki Kuroda," he said quietly, his face blank and unmoving.

Arianna smiled up at him, despite the pain she was probably feeling in her hands by now, she did in fact shock herself twice on both hands. She ran one hand through her hair and laughed a bit, "Yes..I kind of understand that now.." she answered, feeling embarrassed for her lack of observation, "Thanks, but I couldn't help but wish there was something left unprotected, false hope, you know?" she stated with a sigh, closing her blue eyes momentarily before glancing up at Okazaki, "It's a pleasure to meet you." her british accent escaped once again and she quickly clapped a hand over her mouth, "I-I mean it is very nice to meet you." she said, forcing her accent to remain cloaked. Arianna went to stand herself up, but she quickly fell back against the wall, a hand over her eyes. She went through her first non-medicated dizzy spell.

She glanced at the clock high upon the wall, "It's twelve thirty, aren't they going to feed us? Or do they plan on starving us to the point of canibalism...? I hope they know I'll die before I eat another person.." she stated. Forcing herself back up, smiling at Okazaki, "We'll find a way out..I just have to think my plan through." she stated, moving back to her bed before she began to fall again, "I have a disfunctional heart valve, it doesn't close all the way, so I get dizziness and fainting at times, I just hope it won't get in the way.."

She laid down on the bottom bunk, invisably tracing out her plan on the bottom of the bunk above her, "If only we could...no..that wouldn't work at all." she laughed softly, before starting a new trail of ideas about her escape plan, repeating this process over and over, not once looking away from her invisable 'blue-print'. Her ocean blue eyes fixated on the solution at hand with a firey determination, "If they don't feed us, I have roughly only fourteen days to make this work, great, Highschool self defense classes never taught me how to work with anything of this sort!" she growled to herself, still tracing away with her index finger. "No. No. No. And NO!" she growled softly rolling over on her stomach with her face down in the pillow, suffocation never sounded so easy. Was she really attempting suicide? She wasn't sure, she never was good at hurting herself.

Okazaki nearly went forward to help the girl when she fell back, but she fell against the wall, and he returned to his former stance.
"They probably will feed us..." he observed out loud. "I don't see what use it would be to starve a bunch of teenagers to death."
He turned back to Arianna, and stared at her as she stuffed her face into her pillow. He wasn't sure what to say now; if it wasn't already obvious, he was terrible at socialising with people, so all he could do was stare awkwardly at her, trying to think of what to say.

Arianna failed terribly at suffocating herself, jumping up into sitting position simular to the common 'indian style'. She tilted her head to the side, mostly out of curiousity, "I guess you're right, but who says we're not here for the sole perpose of being tortured to the point of wishing for death?" shivering at her own thought, pushing her dress down as she brung her knees back up to her chest, a position for her own false comfort, "God I need to quit scaring myself." she shivered as she laughed at herself and his expression towards her, "I'm rather eccentric, I'm sorry." she apologized with a smile, "I'm just not sure how I should react in this kind of situation.. I can't help but feel a little happy and scared at the same time." she explained, "Sorry for ranting." she added with a blush, "I shouldn't chatter on like that..it's not polite of me."

Carter's heavy eyelids fluttered open to the sound of footsteps around him. His mind foggy he sat up and rubbed the sleep from his eyes, he looked around and noticed he was on the top of a bunk bed. "What the?" he questioned aloud, leaning over the rail spotting many other beds, with many other children in them. His eyes widened with shock as he vaugly ran through the previous night in his mind. "Oh my god," He whispered. He surveyed the room more cautiously paying attention to any details. all of the other children were still in there beds besides two. And they were all under the age of 16 from what he could tell. He jumped over the railing landing soundlessly on the concrete floor, he paused and looked around to see if anyone was coming to get him. After a few seconds the sound of silence got to him and he strode over to the barred window. "I might be thin enough to fit through those bars." he wondered reaching for them. An electric shock buzzed though his body, he fell to the floor his body withering in pain but his mind was white and fuzzy and he couldn't quite figure out why.
As Carter's mind began to clear he groaned as his heart pumped blood painfully to the palms of his hands. He sat up slowly and brought his hands up so he could access the damage, there was a slight burn mark down each plam, the sight of it made his eyes water.
Hearing the sound of running water he turned his head to a doorway, he stood up grinding his teeth and tip-toed cautiously to the door. He peeked his head around the corner and found a young girl washing her face. Startled by seeing someone he flew back behind the wall with a blistering hand pressed against his tundering chest. "Okay Carter, it's just a girl you can do this." he sucked in a deep breath and strode into the bathroom, his chest high and his hands stuffed into his pockets. "Who are you?" he asked the girl he stood behind.

"The same as you; a prisoner. But you can call me Carrie." She said, wiping water out of her eyes. This kid didn't seemed to be much older or younger then her, so she guessed he was twelve, more or less. Carrie placed her hands on her hips.
"You're hands are blistering red, you touched the bars, didn't you?" She looked at the scars on her own hands. "The trick is slip your hands between them, and you could probably kick them out, if your shoes are rubber. Rubber doesn't channel electricity, so it wouldn't shock you, but you'd have to break the window first, which is hard to do without touching the bars. The security is interdependent, you can't break the bars without breaking the glass and you can't break the glass without breaking the bars." Carrie explained, she had secretly trained herself for situations like this, so she had extensive knowledge about traps and security and such. She cracked her knuckles, the familiar pop made her fingers feel loose. She had been told many times that this would give her athritis, but she didn't care, it kept her from doing things like punching the wall or things like that. She was a patient for ADD.

Kiten rolled over in her sleep, twisting and turning like something was haunting her. Finally she gave a shout and flung her torso so she sat straight up, panting with her bright blue eye wide open in alarm. The white washed walls gave her little comfort and her eyes searched wildly about the room, looking for some sort of explanation from the prison.

She heard stirrings all around her, but her sight was the main sense she was utilizing. Her prying eyes could find no rhyme or reason to her captivity. There were others about her age and dressed the same as her. It was then she realized the noises were below her. Her thoughts marching along in slow motion, she noticed a boy probably the same age as her and a girl on the bunk beneath her.

He was very intelligent looking, with brooding eyes hidden behind his hair. He was quite good looking but in her present state, this was hardly something she should be thinking about. The girl held herself well and seemed very pleasant, if not as frightened as the rest of them. Kiten leaned over very slowly, to not spook them.

"Hi, I'm Kiten, like "keetawn". Anyone have the foggiest about what's happening here?"

Embarrassed, Carter shoved his hands into his pockets. He was greatly impressed with how intelligent this girl seemed to be. “Well Carrie, since you seem to be so smart why haven’t you broken out of here yet?” He asked leaning against the bathroom wall. He let his eyes take in all the information he could about this Carrie girl. She was rather smart so she could be rather useful. His eyes wandered about the bathroom, one of the showers was dripping water rhythmically. Attracted to the noise his mind wandered away become blank.

"Didn't I just explain that to you?" She said, rolling her eyes. "I like to know what I'm up against before I get a step right into an obstacle where I'm almost sure to be caught." Carrie rolled her ankles, feeling the crack as the muscles stretched.

"Has anyone told you never to bite off more than you can chew?" Carrie asked, raising an eyebrow. "The same thing applies here. It's best to get an idea of what you'll have to do before you dive right in. Like my old swim coach would say; know the freestyle before you try the butterfly. So, since you know mine, what's your name? Because the thing where you know mine but I don't know yours feels extremely close to having a stalker come to your door and bombarde you with personal questions, then leave to call your phone constantly with creepy half-sentences."

Re: [OOC] Kidnapped for a Reason

If you could create a character for the adult's cell that would be awesome :)

Re: [OOC] Kidnapped for a Reason

Hi sorry I waited so long to post. Normally characters take forever to accept so I applied right before a family reunion w/o access to a computer so I wouldn't torture myself checking my approval. :D But this one went more quickly than expected!

I'm quite ready to help get this rp kick started. I think the topic's brilliant and I already really like the characters. I'll apply for another character if need be. :)

Re: [OOC] Kidnapped for a Reason

Not only the children's cell, but the adult's one as well...there are only two, so I have to kinda wait on Belle to post XD

Re: [OOC] Kidnapped for a Reason

I wouldn't say that it's falling apart... it just hasn't started. I think we need more people in the kid's dorm. We only have three, if you can count Annette. Well, I guess there needs to be more characters period. I don't know...

Re: [OOC] Kidnapped for a Reason

Ah, that sucks :/ Good luck working out those problems, it's a shame this RP is kinda falling apart >_>

Re: [OOC] Kidnapped for a Reason

Good news: I've fixed my computer!
Bad news: I get no internet connection at Upward bound! :(

I only get two hours a day on the internet on Mon-Friday and they're separated in one hour segments.

Re: [OOC] Kidnapped for a Reason

I too, must apologise for making infuriatingly short posts...though I confess I have no excuse other than that I'm new to RPing >_>

Re: [OOC] Kidnapped for a Reason

Whew
Sorry I haven't been on guys.
I'm Starting finals at school but in the next week or two i should be more active.
I hope I wasn't causeing any problems by being slow but it seems as the roleplay hasnt taking off quite yet. And uhm >.> since I'm new you guys should definitly give me so crits on my posts I could use it.
I'm sorry if my first post isnt long enough I can't really stay on the computer very long.

Re: [OOC] Kidnapped for a Reason

My sister's is REALLY old, like....catching up to me xD anyway, I'm glad you guys are so understanding ~-~ *sniffsniff* haha. Hopefully I can get my laptop fixed before upward bound, if I don't I'll have a possible mon-friday absence. :( I think my uncle can fix it however!

Re: [OOC] Kidnapped for a Reason

sorry to hear about your computer...
we all understand, if i hadn't gotten a laptop i dont know what id do, my other computer doesn't necessarily have viruses, its just flippin slow... heck i probably wouldn't be on this site if we hadnt gotten a laptop. i know what you mean... and yes, five year olds can be a pain whenever you need to borrow something...

Re: [OOC] Kidnapped for a Reason

No problem, I can kind of understand, my old computer was practically a gathering area for viruses >_>
I'll reply as much as I can.

Re: [OOC] Kidnapped for a Reason

I hiiiighly apologize for my slooooow replies xD my laptop has a gruesome virus of some sort, at least I think, no internet for me! and well, I'm only given access to a computer because my 'gracious' five year old little sister allowed me to use her computer.. THAT was not a walk in the park...Do you realize what I had to do? *shudder* annnnyway, it's somewhat started, I'm thankful for that much, and I looove how I get a virus a day after I start this flipping roleplay, god must hate me. Hopefully my post was efficient, it's hard to think on an upset mind, I'll try to make my next one longer.

Re: [OOC] Kidnapped for a Reason

my first post was short... and honestly quite lacking.

not like there's anything else post, nobody else was in the room with me as far as i know... heh heh heh.

excuses excuses...

Re: [OOC] Kidnapped for a Reason

Yours was fine, and more than detailed enough XD

Though I wish this RP would go a little faster...

Re: [OOC] Kidnapped for a Reason

Woo. Go 7500 character post. *High five self with fake enthusiasm*

So, what do you guys think of my first post? Detailed enough? Or was it too...uhm...well, I thought there were some problems with it.
Maybe it wasnt "Dark" enough, or "Depressing". I felt that I included enough description, but I don't know. I'm a TERRIBLE self judge. So hit me, peoplez!

Re: [OOC] Kidnapped for a Reason

Youch. I don't think my character was accepted.

Re: [OOC] Kidnapped for a Reason
