|Secrets|
He's currently been separated from his wife for ten years. No one knows he was ever married, but they haven't legally divorced.

He has a habit of letting himself be seduced by students. While he doesn't pursue them, he has been known to sleep with quite a few of them. At the moment, he is involved with Candie Jones.

He has been searching for his birth parents since he was a teenager, with no luck so far.

He has had several books published under "T. E. Young," both novels and poetry.

|Personality|
Idealistic|Flexible|Creative|Ambitious
Impractical|Noncommittal|Self-conscious
Tobias is a true idealist, always looking for the hint of good in even the worst of people and events, searching for ways to make things better. He can come off as calm, reserved, and a bit stuck up, but he has a deep passion for life and everything that comes with it. A poet at heart, he always wants to see the beauty in the world, and because of this he tends to turn a blind eye to the ugly truth when he can.
Tobias is creative, passionate, and hard-working, but because he is so private, it can be hard to truly get to know him. He is impractical and hates having to deal with data. When it comes to relationships, he is hardly rushing to commit to anyone. Despite his natural introversion, He is a very charismatic speaker and can be very charming when he wants to be.

|History|
Tobias Eli Young grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah, with a small, tight-knit family. He was adopted by Jane and Elizabeth Young when he was a newborn, and he never knew his biological parents. He was well-liked among the creative types in school due to his looks and talent, and he never really made any enemies throughout elementary or high school. He married his high school sweetheart, Eleanor Douglas, when the two were 18 years old.

Then he got to Cathedral University. He rushed Nu Sigma Beta and quickly climbed up the social ladder, becoming the chapter president by his sophomore year. His unassuming exterior hid an ambitious streak that led Nu Sigma Beta to become the most notorious fraternity in the state, and entrance into the fraternity was highly sought after. Through parties, athletics, competitions, and academics, Nu Sigma Beta earned a reputation of excellence, along with its leader. And if some things had to be hidden to maintain that reputation, well, then that was just the price to be paid.

Tobias's wife left him soon after they graduated, but they remain legally married. He went on to get his masters and became an American Lit/Poetry professor for the very university he attended those years ago. He still donates to Nu Sigma Beta and attends many of their more official events as an alum.

"Ah, the first day back," Candie stated as she climbed out of the limousine that her father sent her back to school in. This was always a tradition her father did for her on the first day of school ever since her freshman year of high school. Of course knowing the kind of girl Candie was, she ate the entire situation up.

The brunette climbed out of the limo with her bags at her side. Do you want me to bring these to your room Ms. Jones? her driver questioned and to that question she gave a slight nod of her head. "Just set them on the side closest to the window," she stated before letting out a soft sigh. It was time to go searching the campus for her sorority sisters and possibly in the process run into Tobias Young, her English professor. Going the entire Summer without being able to see him was horrible. All the things she wanted to say and do to him just ate at her. The brunette bit at her bottom lip as she slid her hands into the back pockets of her jean shorts as she walked through the Cathedral University campus.

Many of the students she noticed were freshman or transfers, which she honestly didn't seem to understand. After the murder of Miranda, the previous Delta president, she didn't think parents would want their kids enrolling at this school. But apparently she thought wrong.

Every day that goes by without Miranda kills her. Out of everyone in the world Miranda was the most important person to her in her life. But just like everything else that seems to happen to her, she was taken away from Candie. Though Candie couldn't help but to feel guilty about Miranda's murder. If anyone were to find out that she witnessed her death, many questions would be asked and her reputation would quickly plummet to the ground. This was definitely not something she wanted to happen. People at this school looked up to her. Well, it's true for the students who don't truly know her. Anyone who got a chance at getting to know Candie, found her to be a spoiled rotten bitch.

Candie turned a corner of the main building before letting out a sigh and giving up on the search. She sat down on the edge of the fountain in the center of campus and pulled her phone out, sending out a text to Professor Young.

To: Tobias:
Wasn't sure if you knew or not but I'm on campus now. I really want to see you. Let me know where you meet you when you're not busy.
XOXO

Candie sent the text message and slid her phone back into her pocket as she let out a sigh and pulled her journal out of her purse and began writing as she sat there on the edge of the fountain, waiting on any one of her friends or Tobias to show up or text her.

Tobias Young had not been expecting mail on move-in day. In fact, the only reason he was there at all was in case a new student wanted to meet him. Or in case Candie wanted to reunite. When he found the yellow envelope, he was surprised to say the least. It didn't have a return address, just his name scrawled across it haphazardly. He furrowed his brow and meandered back to his office, watching the rather dramatic goodbyes of the freshmen's families. All the upperclassmen had shooed out their parents almost as soon as they got to their dorms. Finally reaching his office, he left his door slightly ajar and relaxed into his chair. He didn't know how long he spent just staring at the packet before he finally made a move to open it.

First, he pulled out a typed note in 12-point Times New Roman font. The text was centered on the page, and it only said one thing: "Wait for further instructions."

What the fuck? he thought, peering back in the envelope. Waiting for him were three other papers that appeared to be glossy photos. Wiggling one out, he dropped it immediately when he got a good look. He shot out of his chair, and it was the fastest he had ever gotten his office door locked. It even beat when Candie had wanted to make out on his desk.

Slowly, slowly, Tobias approached the picture again, as if sneaking up on it would change what it showed. With shaking hands, he assessed the damage. It wasn't that bad, really. One hand a little too low, nothing a little plausible deniability couldn't handle. But there was another picture. He pulled it out of the envelope, and all the blood drained from his face.

There was no denying that. At some deep level, Tobias found himself jealous of the absolute artistry of the voyeuristic picture. Few people could have both his and Candie's faces completely visible and discernible like that and keep it obvious exactly what was going on between them. Nudity and all. They were both stripped down to their underwear, Candie's matching set reminding him exactly what night the pictures were from.

The next photo was even less modest. Lips locked, hands all over each other. Right in the middle of things.

His phone lit up, the post-meeting selfie Candie had taken popping up next to her text.

Wasn't sure if you knew or not but I'm on campus now. I really want to see you. Let me know where you meet you when you're not busy.
XOXO

His stomach dropped even lower, his heart clawing its way up his esophagus, but he worked up the courage to respond.

To Candie:
My office? As soon as you get a free moment?

She didn't need to know yet. Not until he figured out if this person was a legitimate threat or not. Besides, he really was looking forward to seeing her again. It had been too long. He opened his one desk drawer with a functioning lock, slid the whole packet and all it had contained into the drawer and locked it out of his mind.

As Candie sat there continuing to write in her journal, her phone lit up with a small part of the song, My Give a Damn's Busted playing until she went to read the message.

Where the hell are you? Your sorority sisters look lonely without you. LOL.

It was Kourt, of course it was him. He was in her brother fraternity looking for none other than her to attend the Greek Jamboree. The first person she wanted to see today was Tobias, how was she going to respond to him without out right telling him what was going on?

Just when she was about to start a reply to Kourt, Tobias finally replied to her message. She gave a soft smile as she glanced over to the picture of him with his shirt of showing up in the left hand corner of her cellular device. Reasons like that were why she never allowed anyone to use her phone. They didn't need to know what kind of photos she had locked away of her professor, they didn't even need to know about the conversations she has with him. If anyone finds out, there would be definite problems; problems that neither of them were in the position to deal with.

My office? As soon as you get a free moment?

Candie immediately began typing up a reply to Tobias.

To Tobias:
I'll be there soon. Look forward to seeing you.

Just after Candie sent the message to her favorite professor, she pulled up the message from Kourt and finally decided to respond to him. If she didn't she knew he would go out looking for her. There was talk about the limo going around campus so there was no way that he didn't know she was at the school.

To Kourt:
I'll be there when I get a chance, promise. I'm busy setting things up in my room and then I have to speak to one of the people in the office. Look for me around seven at the latest.

Candie sent the message and closed her journal before placing it back into her purse and stood to her feet. With a soft sigh she began making her way through campus in the direction to Professor Young's office. It didn't take any longer than five minutes to arrive. She leaned against the door frame of his door and knocked on the open door with a smirk across her face.

"Good afternoon Professor," she stated, trying to play things off in front of the students who were in the hall around his office. She needed to make sure things weren't being so obvious.

Tobias's phone buzzed again.

From Candie:
I'll be there soon. Look forward to seeing you.

He didn't bother replying, as she would only take a few minutes. He checked the lock on his drawer and got to his feet to open his office door. Scrubbing his face and slipping on his glasses, he schooled his features into a resting bitch face (one of his specialties, along with the faint, detached smile and the single-eyebrow raise of 'seriously?' in all its minute variations). A knock on the door interrupted his thoughts.

"Good afternoon, Professor," Candie said, leaning against the door frame. A smile spread across his face.

"Ah, Miss Jones," Tobias said, trying to keep his tone neutral. He was sure she could hear the playful undertone in it anyway. "Please, come in." He shut and locked the door behind her. They didn't need anyone else spying on them together. He let himself be sucked in by her, completely forgetting the pictures for the moment.

"How was your trip here?" he asked, still grinning. "Did your dad send you in a limo again?" It was no secret that Candie came from money, and her family liked to show it off. Many people found it annoying, but Tobias didn't particularly mind, due in part to his own affluent family. It would be awfully hypocritical of him to dislike her for her trust fund while he was living off his inheritance from his grandmother.

Suddenly, he remembered how they had left things in the spring, and his smile melted from his face. "How are you doing?" he asked. Miranda's death had been hard on Candie, he knew. They had been best friends, practically inseparable. he reached for her hand, rubbing his thumb in circles. "Are you..." "Okay" wasn't right, wasn't possible. Same with "better." Tobias settled on, "Coping?"

Lucius couldn't believe how late he was to showing up at the fraternity house, let alone the school itself. He was usually one of the first of the brothers back at school when the summer ended. Though because of his mother who couldn't seem to let him leave for his final year in college, he was late.

Lucius expected Kourt of all people to say something about it, but then again Kourt was always one of the most unpredictable guys in the brotherhood. It would be nice to see him again though. Once he climbed out of the taxi with the bags at hand he made his way into the frat house and placed his bags into his room. It's nice to be home, he thought to himself as he let out a soft sigh and looked around his room a bit before heading down to the Delta and Beta jamboree.

The moment he spotted Kourt, he smiled a bit and walked over to him. "Hey man! Sorry I'm late, my mother went into the whole 'oh my baby is graduating this year' fit. Quite annoying if I say so myself." Lucius looked around, finding the Delta sisters without their president. "Where is Candie?" he questioned, doing nothing more than thinking back to the previous year, one of the best interactions he had with her. But of course, that was something he planned to keep on the down low. Lucius didn't need anyone finding out what happened between him and Candie. Though he was honestly shocked Candie hadn't said anything about it.

"Ah, Miss Jones," were the first words she had heard him speak in over two months, it was one of the nicest things she had ever heard in a long while. "Please, come in," he added as he made his way over to Candie and closed the door behind her. As she watched Tobias close the door, she glanced at him up and down a bit, he seemed to have gotten much more handsome over the summer.

Candie was brought out of her thoughts when she heard Tobias speak up once more, she was even more captivated by his gorgeous smile. "How was your trip here? Did your dad send you in a limo again?" Candie smiled a bit and answered his questions. "Of course my father sent me in the limo. It's something he does every year, there is no way he'd ever give in and stop doing that until I graduate," the brunette answered with a soft chuckle.

Once Candie finished speaking, she watched as Tobias's smiled melted away. Was it something I said? she thought to herself. I sure hope it wasn't. Suddenly her question was answered when his next words were spoken as he reached for her hand and rubbed his thumb along the back of her hand. "Yeah, I um, I'm doing alright. It's still a bit hard, you know, going on without her. But I guess it's just something I'll have to deal with," Candie responded. The whole time the pictures from the night of the murder she had witnessed played in her head. Every small detail was set on pause and rewind, over and over again.

Candie's smile disappeared for a brief second before shaking the thoughts from her head. She looked into Tobias's eyes. "I've been looking for a company who could rebuild the Delta sorority house. After that fire that happened in the summer, the house is no longer livable. If you know of anyone or hear of anyone could you let me know?" Candie questioned.

After a brief moment of silence she leaned in and gave him a soft kiss before pulling away with a warm smile. Being around Tobias always made her happy, the happiest she had ever been.

Tobias was surprised and impressed at how well Candie was handling everything. From Miranda's death to the fire at the Delta house, her last year had been a difficult one. He knew he would never have dealt with it as well as she was.

""Yeah, I um, I'm doing alright," she said. "It's still a bit hard, you know, going on without her. But I guess it's just something I'll have to deal with."

He hated seeing her upset, but he preferred her talking about it with him than some frat boy that just wanted in her pants. Not that he could claim that he had much purer intentions.

"Everything gets easier with time," he assured her, hoping to bring back the bright smile she'd had before. He considered her words for a brief moment before saying, "I've got a friend who does that kind of stuff. I can get him to give you a quote, if you'd like."

When she kissed him, it reminded him again exactly why they'd started this thing they had.

"I missed you," he said softly, giving in to the sentimentality that filled him. "It's not the same here without you, you know. How long do we have until you have to go to that Greek party?"

Tobias wanted to spend as much time as he could with Candie before she had to attend to her social duties. He wrapped his arms around her waist in a subtle attempt to get her to stay with him.

"You could skip it," he suggested with a mischievous grin. "There's always tomorrow."

Luce rolled his eyes at Kourt's mockery and pushed his hands away from his face as he spoke, "Oh, shut up man and yeah, I can look over the pledges. Not sure how well I'll be at it because well, I need to get me some," he stated as he nudged Kourt slightly and glanced over at Daphne with a soft smile. "Hey Daph, good to see you again," he greeted. For the longest time he wanted to hit that, but a long time ago he came to understanding that it was never going to happen, so he accepted it. As difficult as it was to admit, he hated the fact he didn't have what it took to get a girl like Daphne into bed.

The male glanced over at the frat brothers and sighed as he grabbed the attention of all the pledges and lined them up in order for him to speak to them all at once. "Alright, so I know all of you know rush week starts tomorrow and you will be put to the official test to see if you have what it takes to be an official Beta. Now, I'm going to warn you, a lot of the tests will humiliate you, some will even terrify you. But if Kourt and I could get through it, you should be able to as well. Have a good rest of the day because I'm sure most of you won't be able to make it back through these doors," he explained to them all, not even bothering to sugar coat anything. That's just not the kind of guy he is. He tells things how they are and that's it.

Candie stood there, taking in every word the male spoke, but she couldn't help not to find herself getting lost in his eyes like she always does. "Thanks, I would really like to talk to him and as for the jamboree, I do have to attend, but I'm sure they'll be fine without me for another hour or two," she stated as she began to remove his tie. "And my summer hasn't been the same without you either, Professor," Candie added with a slight smirk plastered to her lips.

The brunette closed the space between them and pressed her lips against his in a passionate, lustful, long kiss, one that she had been waiting on all summer. Candie was never one to go back to anyone after the summer, she usually switches each year with her hookups. But Tobias just seemed to be completely irresistible. Without him, she just seemed to go nuts and she wasn't sure exactly why that was. But whatever it was just always seemed to pull her back to him. This was something Candie honestly didn't seem to mind but it happened.

Candie loved Tobias, but she just wasn't sure if it was in the way she has recently been believing it was. All she knew was that she wasn't going to say anything about it unless she knew for sure. She would just hate to ruin their relationship over something pety like that.

Jas was a little relieved that Cassie decided to actually talk to her. Cassie had a lot of reason to hate Greeks. What hurts worse than being betrayed by your own family. 'If we had been closer last year, I definitely would have let Candie have a piece of my mind... Can't believe she's such a bitch.' She smiled at the blonde and shook her head.

"No need to thank me. I'm just speaking the truth." She promised her, blushing a little as she complimented her. "Thanks, it's actually the closest color they had in bottle form to my natural color... I haven't been this color in years actually." She admitted, embarassed.

She nodded slowly, listening to Cassie. "You know, I didn't care about what happened... except for all of those rumors. I'm glad your okay. You can come to me for anything, I'd like us to be friends. You seem pretty cool."

Jasmine couldn't help but sigh when she mentioned the murders. If only Cassie knew the tarot cards she kept pulling when when trying to find out information about the murder. "I don't think it's done." She told her but just like that Cassie had mentioned the parties. Her cheeks burned.

'And now I'm a looney tune.' She inwardly groaned.

"Yeah... that too. I have a dress you can wear if you want. It would look great on you." She told her with a smile. "Oh, and you don't have to crash ours, you're welcome to come. I don't know if you're going back to the Deltas but you can pledge with us if you want. We're nothing like them." She offered.

Jasmine smiled and nodded. "I've had to shed my skin a few times, I totally understand." She shrugged. "I get it. I spent a whole class with her my sophomore year. It was... interesting." She smiled at Cassie trying to not be so harsh about her roommate.

"Well, we spent some time with our parents and then we vacationed in Italy. We've been doing that since I was little, maybe even before I was born." She told her, running a hand through her curls. She pursed her lips, wondering if she should be honest or just pretend everything was okay. Then again Cassie had been honest with her. The least she could do was be honest with Cassie.

She looked at the cigarette on the ground. She almost wished she smoked sometimes, especially when she was stressed. "He's not exactly handling it well, you know. It's hard for him. They were pretty serious." She told her. She half smiled. "Pretty strange for a half sibling and two full siblings to be best friends, huh?"

Jasmine's phone chimed. She pulled it out, glancing at the screen. It read 'Text message scheduled to send. Click send to continue to send.' She smiled, clicking send and turning back to Cassie as she slid the phone back into her pocket.

Daphne relaxed but couldn't help but blush when he gave her a small hug. She was glad she was away from the other girls looking on. Kourt was a hottie and all the girls wanted him, rightly so too. She didn't need anyone else's help to embarrass herself around him.

"Nothing so major, I just went to Italy with my family like always." She said with a shrug. She was glad that he used that nickname. He was the only person outside of her family that could use it and get away with it.

She did not tell him about her work on an album. What would he even say? Would he tell her it was a great idea or would he tell her that it was a horrible idea. Would he tell her horror stories? She hadn't told anyone. If she told someone, it should be her family, right? She frowned, not sure what to do.

She glanced down at his hand, grinning as he extended his wrist out to her. She slid it onto him, her fingertips brushing his skin as she did it. Her heart sped up, feeling the heat of her skin.

"T-Thanks." She said, blushing more when he complimented the bracelet. This time she managed to hug him back. Was it so wrong that she wanted the hug to last a little longer.

"Hey, want to hang out with me here?"

Daphne was so stunned that she couldn't answer right away. Did he just want to hang out with her as friends or did he mean hang out as more.

"I can understand if you have cheerleading practice or something."

She blushed again, shaking her head. "Oh, no. That hasn't started yet. We had a training and tryouts again this summer but we don't get started for another week. Thank goddess because rush week and practice? Way too much pep for me." She smiled geneuinely. She didn't usually give out many of those.

Daphne started to answer him when Lucius came up. She gave a half smile to him but didn't say anything. He kinda gave her the creeps. She didn't know why... yet. She'd find out one way or another.

She looked back at Kourtney and smiled. "Yeah, I'd love to stay and hang with you. But do you mind if we went over there a little later? I'm the Treasurer after all. I have to make an appearance. Plus we throw the best parties." She smiled at him.

The blonde looked back at Luce. She was surprised he even noticed her. "Hey, Lucius. Good to see you too." She couldn't even remember the last time she saw him.

Sure, he'd remember and even try to seduce Jasmine but Daphne was not the type, Luce usually went after. At least he didn't call her a nickname. That would have really creeped her out.

Jeff grinned, picking Gran up as he hugged her. He let her go and ruffled her hair. "How was the trip? Didn't get lost in Amsterdam did you?" He teased her. He, Fran, and his sisters had once taken the wrong train and ended up lost in the skeevy streets of Amsterdam. It was fun, but he felt like they were sabotaging Fran's innocence.

"I can help with that or you can just leave your stuff with the girl's house and we can take it over there tonight. But then you'll have to worry about drunk frat guys moving your things rather than tipsy frat guys, moving your things." He teased her but then shook his head. "Nah, being the president and all, I like to get here early and scoop out the place. Plus there was a lot to get done. Jas and Daph came early too. So if you need anyone to show you around, we're experts." He told her with a smile. Fran always felt like his little sister. The least he could do was look out for her. He'd probably do a lot more if it meant keeping her safe.

When a pair of arms found his way around his neck from behind, Jeff was surprised until he heard the voice that accompanied it. He smirked. "Hey, Jordan. I see you finally dragged yourself here." He nodded. "As always, even without your help setting it up." He guilt trip her for his sisters who had really done a lot to make sure this year's cookout was amazing.

He looked over his shoulder at her and gave her a half smile. It didn't touch his eyes. "Oh, you're not. I should actually introduce you. This is Fran. She's a friend of the family but a Delta Delta Delta legacy. I believe my sister's were planning on converting her to the Omega ways."

Jeff introduced Fran, giving her an encouraging smile. "Fran, this is Jordan the lazy president of the Omega sorority, the only sorority you need to consider joining." He joked.

Frowning, Jeff looked around. "Looks like Jas is trying to do some recruiting and... damn is that Daphne with Kourtney? When did that happen? The hell..."He muttered, staring at his sister from across the street. He must have been very out of touch with things if he hadn't noticed Daphne had the hots for some Beta. He rubbed his chin.

Sure, there were a lot worse guys than Kourtney but he didn't know him well enough to give the seal of approval for him to date his little sister.
