Personal History:
The younger son of the previous king, Lelinus always had the temperment of the older sibling while his elder brother left his responsibilities as Crown Prince to him. As a child, he almost instantly befriended Rivera Karstark and she remains to this day his closest friend, confidant, and bodyguard. He had long expected to inherit the throne from his father and was greatly angered when he found that James inherited the throne. Nonetheless, he refuses to go against his own brother... for now at least. Lelinus retains great influence in the Court and is known as one of its most shrewd players. He has not been afraid to use threats, blackmail, assassination, secret alliances, and other means to safeguard the kingdom and his House. To this day, he remains suspicious of Luxor and the Devalins. He deeply disapproves of James' decision to betrothe Gwendolyn as it gives the Devalins far too much leverage in his view. Rather, he sees Prince Theodin as much more suitable match for her. Currently, it is known in Court that he seeks the fief of Ghost's Pass. Much speculation abounds about why he would petition for that particular fief and Lelinus refuses to confide in anyone but Rivera.
