Fate Hight School

"Hey.Umi,you forgot your lunch,meathead." Huyu started,walking straight towards his friend...his best friend,before tossing him a packet.Huyu didn't know what was inside,he wasn't nosy enough to poke through what his friend normally ate.He took a seat next to Umi and munched on his chicken sandwich.They watched students walking around in a bustle of activity.Well...it was lunchtime,quite understandable,really.He swallowed the first bite before talking.

"So...have you noticed how the Heartless have gotten rather active ever since the new student came here?There's been several theories.Some think she's the leader of Heartless.Some think that the Heartless followed her from her world." he took another bite from his sandwich and sighed. "Anyway,I find it kind of hard to imagine her as a leader of the Heartless.But looks may deceive.I won't make assumptions until everything clicks though,so I'll treat her as what she is,a student from our school."

He turned to look at Umi. "Well?What do you think?"

Huyu finished his sandwich and pulled a small smile at Umi's joke.Zephen didn't have to worry about taking a bath tonight.At all.He then closed his eyes and recited:

"In a room of darkness,when one turns on the light,it floods and covers the room with it's blinding light.However,darkness still resides within the shadows.In a room filled with light,when one turns off the light,darkness consumes everything.No light remains."

He looked at Umi and Zephen with an expectant stare.

"You can't see the darkness without light.But you will never see the light with darkness.I assume you know this.If our world is taken by darkness,we will never see this world again.So I expect you guys,to shine that light as bright as possible.Consider it 'With strong Light,there is no Darkness'.A willful choice,yes,but it gives us more hope.Compared to 'Where there is light,there must be darkness'." he told them before standing up and walking away,lifting up a hand to show he was leaving.

"So how's everything going?" Huyu asked some students,who were walking by,carrying a load of wood.They stopped and answered him.

"Barricades are about 60% done so far.But there are no guarantees they're able to hold."

Huyu nodded and walked over to assist the other students with the wood.He lifted a huge amount onto his shoulders and started towards the work area.Some of the students were creating a barricade around the school ever since the Heartless started increasing,and part of it was Huyu's idea.At least it would help them reduce the amount of Heartless that would enter.But if it could help,it's worth doing.He placed the stacks of wood on the ground and started hammering them into place.After quite some time,he stood and wiped his forehead.He was doing most of the work again,as usual.He stepped back to check out how much had extended after he worked on it.He felt a little satisfied at his work and nodded his head at the other students,showing that he was leaving.Once he was out of sight,he massaged his shoulders and sighed.

"Wonder what Umi's up to so far?Should go check him out." he said to himself,whisking off to search for his friend.

Umi finally found Naomi and he smiled, he approached her causally. "Yo!" he called out, waving slightly, "You must be the new girl! Naomi, was it?" he asked, hoping not to frighten the girl. "The name's Kowareta Umi, but my friends call me Umi for short. Its nice to finally meet you." he sat next to her, keeping his distance for respect for her. "how do you like this school?" he asked. You know... shes not that bad looking either... kinda cute actually... he thought. He remembered the rumors that have been going around the school, about how the Heartless followed her here and shes the reason the Heartless were attacking the school, but he didnt believe it, especially since no world is truly safe from the darkness anyway. He then wondered why she was eating alone, does she have any friends here? he wondered.

If there was a saying that best friends eventually ended up finding each other no matter how far apart they are,then Huyu would've definitely given a thumbs up to it.He actually found Umi,by pure instinct...or sheer luck.Or both.Either way,he heard Umi introducing himself to the new girl.

"Oh,finally the lovebird launches his attack." he laughed to himself before walking over and slapping Umi on the shoulder,sending him closer towards the girl before he made himself comfortable next to Umi.

"Right,that's much better.I prefer seeing you sitting closer to her." he told Umi,before dropping to a whisper. "Let me guess...you already find her cute.Don't you?"

He opted to give Umi a small teasing wink before he looked at the girl.He'd seen her a couple of times,mostly alone.He never really brought himself to talk to her,since...it wasn't really his style to do so.But now,he could.He lifted a hand and smiled warmly as a greeting.

"Right,don't be too frightened,or shy.Umi just wanted to make friends and I'm his best friend,so I guess we're on the same page.Let's get to know each other.I'm Huyu,and you're Naomi,was it not?" he inquired.
