Kai's Journal
As you would have guessed, Sora and Kairi ended up together. It's kinda obvious if I'm here talking to you. Yup, I'm their daughter. If they hadn't gotten together then I wouldn't exist.
Growing up I've heard the stories of my father's adventures, and I have always loved listening to them. Especially if Riku told them to me. Ah yes, my Dad's best friend....He's not around much, considering that he's travelling amongst the outside world. He comes back every once in a while to visit us, and he's always got new stories to tell us. I look forward to those times.
Everytime he comes back to visit, I pester him, asking if he'll take me with him so that I can experience the outside world too. But he always said that it was too dangerous, maybe when I was older. My parents didn't want me going out, they're way too protective. But after a while they accepted that on my seventeenth birthday I could go with Riku.
Finally my birthday has come!

Oh! And there maybe one other little detail that you might find improtant. Ever since I was little I have been in love with Riku...I think it's obvious, even though I try not to show it. I've never said anything to anyone though.

Plot
Riku has finally come back for Kaizume's seventeenth birthday, just like he's promised. However when he tells Sora and Kairi about the new creatures that are emerging the demand that Kai not go, Riku agrees. When he tries to leave, Kai seaks out and follows him. The creatures emerge on Desiney Islands, and she's caught in a fight, when Riku is trying to protect her some one from the shadows pulls her into the Chamber of Awakening, there she realizes she has the power of the Keyblade. But when she finally wakes up, she's not in Destiny Islands anymore.

Kaizume sat on the bending trunk of the Paopu tree of Destiny Islands. The sun was casting an orange halo upon everything as it sank out of sight below the calm waves of the ocean's water. A few gulls could be heard from across the bridge as they began to nestle down for the night. Everything around her was peaceful, all except for her attitude.
"Ahhh...Where could he be?" Kai wondered aloud. Today was her birthday, her seventeenth to be exact. And every year, every birthday, father's best friend, Riku, would come back to the islands to visit she and her family. She had always looked forward to these visits. The stories that he would tell them. But as she had kept hearing these stories, Kai couldn't help but want to go out on adventures too. Especially with Riku. She had begged and begged. Both Riku, and her parents had promised to consider it when she was older. Maybe this was the year...
She let out a sigh of exasperation as she turned and lie down on the trunk of the tree. Staring up at the on coming night sky she wondered what each star really was. She had remembered her mother saying, that every world out there, like every person, had a heart. And each of their hearts shone down upon each other. When she actually though about it, the idea made her feel very small, smaller than she already did.
She swung her leg back and forth, and whittled her thumbs. She blew up at the few blue strays of hair that had fallen into her face. No matter how much she blew, they would only flutter up, instead of up and away.
"Come on, Riku...You're never this late..." she said aloud again. She tended to do that when she was alone, speaking her thoughts aloud.
Closing her eyes she thought that she would just travel to he imagination while she waited...

The sun shown down from the perpetually setting sun of Twilight Town, casting long shadows all around. Riku stared at the one he made, thinking for a moment on what he should do next. He knew exactly what day it was, but he could not return to his home until he had a suitable present. The shops in Twilight town were his best bet to find something, but so far, there was nothing that was worth getting. And it had to be getting late. It was hard to tell in Twilight Town, since the sun never changed position. It was easy to lose yourself in this sleepy town.

Riku opened a Darkness Corridor back to Destiny Island. He hadn't been there in at least 6 months, and today was a very special day. It was his "niece's" birthday. She wasn't really his niece, of course, but what else could he call his best friends' daughter. Sora and Kairi were his closest friends since childhood, and Kaizume he had known since she was a baby. She had grown to be a beautiful young girl, who reminded him a lot of his two friends. She also shared bother her father's and Riku's own sense of adventure, and had been begging to leave the island for a long time. It was a only a matter of time until she got off the island, whether she went with Riku, her dad, or just left on her own. Knowing her, she would find a way to get off the island. Maybe it was better she went on a guided tour instead leaving on her own.

Riku stepped through the portal, and in an instant, he was back home. A little ways off, on the Papou tree he knew so well, he saw Kai watching the stars. He walked over as quietly as he could, and when he was right behind her, he said, "So, Kaizume, how's your big day? Looking at the stars?" Riku looked up as well, watching stars that he knew were other worlds. As he watched, one of them flickered and faded. That was not good, but there was no point in saying it now. He just knew what he had to do after he was done here.

Hearing Riku's voice behind her startled her. She opened her eyes and just about fell backward off the tree, she was caught off guard. "Do you always have to sneak up on people? You're like a ninja." She looked back up at the stars. She saw the one star fade. "Riku? What does it mean when a star fades?" she asked questioningly. She sensed that it couldn't have been good.
It's getting really late. Mom and Dad will be worried. Even though they know that I'm just on the island. It was something that she always did. When ever she knew that Riku would be coming back on a certain day she would go wait out on the island to greet him when he finally arrived.
Kaizume jumped off the tree. "Am I old enough today?!" she asked annoyed. "I'm sick and tired of waiting till I'm 'older'. Well when exactly is 'older'?" She began to walk across the bridge and over to the dock, where she had docked her rowboat. "And if we don't get going, Mom and Dad are going to think that I got kidnapped. Jeesh, I'm seventeen today!"

Riku sighed when she asked him about the stars. This wasn't a happy topic, and Riku didn't want to ruin her birthday. But she had asked, and he felt that her father wouldn't mind her knowing. So he answered, "Your mom has told you that the stars are each a different world, right? When one star fades out, that means that world has fallen into the Realm of Darkness. That happened here once." Riku stopped abruptly. What he hadn't said was that he was responsible for this world fading to darkness, something that he felt guilty for even now. He hadn't meant to bring that up.

Kaizume, however, didn't seem notice anything off. She jumped of the tree were he, Sora, and Kairi had always sat, then turned to beg him once again to go off on an adventure. Jeez, he had only been back for 5 minutes and she already wanted to leave. Then she mentioned that she had to go home, so they should get going. He hadn't been to see Sora and Kairi in ages. He walked along with her to the dock he knew so well, and said to Kai, "You really want to go on an adventure, huh? Tell you what. When we get to home, we can ask your mom and dad if you can come with me for a little while. I'm sure your dad won't object. We just need to get Kairi to agree..."

Kaizume nodded. "Yeah...Good luck with that. But they did promise a long time ago that I could go when I got older. And you know how Mom doesn't like to break promises. Or even have them broken." She answered. "Do you think she'll have my hide for being late?"
Kai stepped into the boat and sat down, grabbing the oars and dipping them into the water. "Earlier you said that this world had slipped into Darkness...Wasn't that right around the time Dad got the Keyblade? Or is that part of the story that never got told to me? For some odd peculiar reason?" She asked. Why wouldn't anyone tell me that this world had fallen into Darkness? She had thought that she had known the whole history of the Destiny Islands. But then again, not everyone did, considering that only a few select people in the whole universe knew that there were other worlds out there.

"Nah. This is when your dad got the keyblade, and we all left the island. That is what started the adventure. Me and your dad had a few scuffles along the way, but we got over them. Eventually, your dad saved the island, and we split up again. It took us over a year to meet up again after that, and once we did, we went back home. You know that, I remember telling you about the Organization," Riku answered her second question first, the added, "and if your mom tries to skin you, I'll just tell her I took you out for a bit to celebrate. That way she'll only get mad at me, right?" He winked at her and looked to the shore, seeing they were about to row in.

It was only a little bit until the reached the dock, and Riku stepped of the boat as soon as the reached there. He offered a hand to help Kaizume out of the boat, then looked around momentarily before turning back to Kai. "Now," he asked, "which way to your house?"

When Kai saw Riku wink at her, she began to feel her face heat up. Looking away she stared down at the water. "But that's not really fare. That would be lying..." She never lied to her parents. She didn't like being lied to so she showed the same respect to the truth that she expected be given to her. Looking up she saw that they were almost back to the main island. She breathed a sigh of relief.

When they had finally reached the shore she watched as Riku hopped out first. When he had offered her his hand to help her out, she took it. Stepping out she quickly tied up the boat to the dock. "The house?" She pointed toward the second one on the right side of the path that lead inland. "That one." She walked off the dock and headed home, knowing that Riku wasn't far behind.
When she reached the house she opened the door, holding it open for Riku. "Hey! I'm back, and company's with me!" She shouted into the house.

Riku shook his head when Kai said it would be lying. "Not really," he assured her. "We went to the island to celebrate, right? It just took some of us longer to get there than others. I was with you by the time she would have started worrying. But if you don't want to say that, I understand. You are just like your dad, I swear." Riku followed her back to her house, remembering the way as they walked. He hadn't been here in awhile, but this was his home. He knew where Sora and Kairi now lived. It had just taken him a little while to recall. Kai stepped up to her door and threw it open, announcing that she had brought a guest. Riku stepped through and called out, "Yeah, and I bet you can't guess who it is!"

Kaizume stepped in through the door after Riku, closing it behind her. "We're in here!" she heard her mom call.
"Jeez you don't even show yourself?" She asked under her breath. She kicked off her shoes, then headed into the kitchen, where she could smell curry rice, she knew that sushi would be with. "Sushi, here I come!"

Kairi was just finishing putting the food on the table when Kai walked into the room. "And where have you been, young lady?" she asked. "I know it's your birthday, but you never know who could be lurking around in the dark corners at night..." She added the last part while ruffling her daughter's hair gently.
"Aw, Mom, where do you think I was? I was waiting for Riku to come back!" Kai whined. Kairi always ruffled her hair, she knew that Kai hated it if it was anyone but Riku.

Sora came down from upstairs. "Do you always have to lurk in door ways, Riku? You know that you're welcome here, even when we don't know you're coming." He said to his best friend, whom he hadn't seen in six months. "Any new stories to tell while we eat? Kairi wouldn't let me have some of the birthday cake...she said I had to wait for you two..."

Riku punched Sora in the arm lightly, happy to see his best friend again. "Jeez, she didn't let you have any cake? Oh, that must have been torture, huh Sora?" He laughed aloud before turning back to his friend with a more serious face. "I'll tell you my stories after we sit down to have cake," he began, "but there is something very important that you need to know. Earlier, Kaizume and I were looking up at the stars. One of them faded out. I'm sure you know what that means. But, don't tell Kairi about this, okay? Kaizume really wants to go see other worlds, and I have the feeling that Kairi might not let her if she heard about this." He sighed heavily before his voice took a more happy turn, "Let's forget about this for now/ We are here, now, so you know what that means. Cake time!" He walked with his friend to go to where Kai and Kairi were having their fun.

Zhioldech stood in the center of Rabanastre. He had been there for a little over a year now, traveling here and there working as a hunter and trying to find out about his parents. He hadn't heard from Cloud since he had left, which didn't surprise him. Cloud was still a little sore about him managing to save him in one of his famous fights with Sephiroth. The sky was clear that night and there weren't many people out. He was looking at them wondering what worlds they all were. He had heard stories from Cloud and the rest, but he had always wondered just how accurate they were.

As he watched, he noticed a star disappear. It caught him off guard and he remembered what it meant. A world had just been swallowed by darkness. That's not good, he thought to himself. He shifted his buster blade on his back and turned and made his way to his home in the shopping district. He lived above the weapon shop. Ignoring the pestering about rent, he ran upstairs to his home. Upon entering, he looked to his left at his computer monitor. With a few keystrokes, the image of Cid popped up on the screen. "Cid! We got a problem!"

Cid had been caught off guard, as he was obviously working. "Waddya want, kid, I'm busy," he said, irritated.

"I'm pretty sure this is more important. You remember all those stories you guys told me? About the Heartless and all that?" Cid nodded, wondering why it mattered. "Well, I just saw a star go out. Something's up."

Cid's eyes widened a bit. "Are you sure that's what you saw?"

Zhioldech nodded. "I'm positive. Should I head for the Gummie Ship?"

Nodding, Cid said, "Yeah, contact me when you get there. I have to inform the others." The video chat disappeared from the screen and Zhioldech shut down the computer. He popped open the main panel and removed the hard drive. He placed it in a ruck sack he had in th corner of his room. Throwing his few important belongings in it, he paused when he picked up a picture of himself training with Cloud. It was one of the few moments he remembered Cloud smiling. Chuckling he removed the picture from it's frame and folded it, placing it in his right pocket. He left the room, making his way downstairs. Before they pestering started he tossed his key to the owner and walked out the door.

Running, Zhioldech made his way to the Aerodrome. He watched as airships arrived and departed, even at this hour. He made his way to where his ship was docked. It looked like any other airship you would see, but that's thanks to a few gadgets he had installed that disguised it. He made his way to the ship, which was extraordinarily large for a personal Gummie Ship. There was room for a crew and everything, but he had always managed on his own, even with repairs. The doors of his hangar opened as he started up the engines. The ship rose into the air and flew from the hangar. He made his way away from the city where he wouldn't be seen by most people and began increasing in altitude. He shut down the cloaking and the image of an airship became a large Gummie Ship. He redirected the power from the cloaking to the engines and blasted into space, leaving Ivalice behind.

At this point, he chose to have the ship come to rest, orbiting around the world while he waited for Cid to contact him with his destination.

Kai was sitting down and binging on the sushi and curry rice when her Riku and her father walked in. "Dad...Look it, look it! It's Yellow Tail!!" She was way too hyper. She looked down at her plate. "Riku, that star fading out...it won't have any impact on me going will it?" she asked, not knowing that she wasn't suppose to say anything. She saw her mother drop her chopsticks out of the corner of her eye. "Jeez, Mom, are you okay?"
Kairi turned to Riku. "A world vanished? When?"
"Mom, it was just before we left the island...Wow, you're taking this a little two seriously...I mean sure it's a pretty bad thing if a world just fell to Darkness, but it can't mean anything for me..." Kaizume stopped and reconsidered"...can it?"
Turning to look at her father to get some consultation, she didn't want to believe that she might not be able to go. Sora didn't say anything, he didn't even look at her. Irritated, Kai got up from her seat. "I need to think..." She replied before she went off to her room.

Kairi looked down at the bowl of curry rice that she had been about to eat before Kai went up to her room. She knew that her daughter wanted more than anything to go out and explore the worlds. But if there was something causing trouble out there among the other worlds, she didn't want Kaizume caught up in the tangled web. She would never wish upon anyone else the fate that she and her two best friends had to go through. But then again, you would think that she had learned from Aqua. The Keyblade Master had told her that after she had meet Sora and Riku when they were children, she had sensed that Terra had already given Riku the power of the Keyblade, and because of this, she wouldn't grant the same Inheritance Ceremony upon Sora..." 'Cause one Keyblade is enough for any friendship...". And yet look where that had gotten her and her friends.
Looking up to look at Sora, Kairi said, "I don't want her going out there if there is something wrong."
"Oh, come on, Kairi, I'm sure that it can't be that big of a thing. I mean...it's only been about what, seventeen years since we finished everything?" he asked in a lighthearted tone, obviously trying to lighten the mood.
"What if nothing really was solved. I mean look at how long it took to get rid of Xehanort..." She argued. Sora went quiet with that fact.

"Well what are we suppose to do, Kairi? We can't keep her sheltered forever. You know how long she's been dying to go out and explore." Sora didn't like the thought of his daughter being in danger any more than his wife did. But he did see Kai's side of the whole thing. It wasn't really fare to hear all these great adventures, then not be expected to want your own. It was kind of harsh. "And besides we did promise her. You know how hard it is for me to break a promise." he replied, returning his gaze down to his plate.

Riku sighed internally. Definitely her father's daughter. Kairi's face descended into worry and doubt. She started to say that she didn't want Kaizume going out if there was something going wrong. Sora tried to rebuff her, but Kairi quickly brought up Xehanort, and that shut Sora and Riku up quick. That had take quite awhile, for sure, but Riku thought she was overacting. Xehanort was a once in a lifetime deal, and even if he wasn't, Sora and himself had already beaten him once. They were stronger now; they could beat him again.

Sora brought up his final point; he had promised Kai that she could go. And Sora couldn't break a promise, especially to the one person in the world who might have valued a promise even more than he did. Before Kairi could shoot Sora down again, Riku interjected, "Kairi, I know you are worried for Kaizume. She is your only daughter, and I can only imagine how hard it is to send her where you think there is danger. But don't forget, this isn't the same as our journey. She won't have to go alone. I'm going with her, remember? I won't let anything happen to her. You have my word."

Misaka looked over the calm waters of the Twilit Isles, gazing absently into the horizon. She was totally, absolutely, and unequivocally bored. She sometimes loved the serenity of the isles, but it was times like these that made her realize that serenity was just another name for boredom. Of course, that wasn't always true. Sometimes it was nice to not have a care in the world, to just float along. Speaking of which...

Misaka torn off her close to reveal her bathing suit underneath. She threw her clothes and her shoes over towards her towel (which she always brought here) before she dove out into the water, going under before quickly resurfacing. The water was the lovely warm temperature it always was, which allowed Misaka to just lie down on her back and float aimlessly, just absorbing the sounds around her. This was a trick her master had taught her to use when she was feeling particularly restless. She had to force herself to relax and listen to the sound of nature around her, soothing her itching feet and allowing her to feel so much better. She was so calm that she almost missed a star fizzling out in the late twilight sky above. But she saw it. She would have to ask her master next time what that meant.

Kaizume could hear her parents and Riku talking in the kitchen from her bedroom. Danger? Why can't I go out even if there is danger?! It won't have anything to do with me...and like Riku said, he'll be with me... She thought annoyedly. She couldn't stand it anymore. She had waited seventeen years to get off this stupid island, and she wasn't going to let one little world falling into Darkness keep her from her dream. Walking over to her bed she knelt down, reaching under she grabbed her duffle. She went over to her closet and grabbed a few clothes, then to her scrapbook and threw those into the bag too. Coming up to her book case she grabbed her favoirte book. She had had it since she was very small. The first present that Riku had ever given to her, and it was about the Great Battle between Light and Darkness.
She walked back over to her bed, she opened the window that was just above. Throwing her duffle down out of the window she closed the window back up. She headed back to her door, opening it she began to go back down stairs.

Kairi looked straight at Riku. "I know you understand, Riku, and I know that you would be there with her...it's just still a little hard. I really don't want her going out when it's this dangerous, and besides there will always be time." She said. She got up from her seat and picked up her plates, taking them to the garbage can. She had lost her appitite. She scraped her food into the the trash container and then took it over to the sink to be washed. She turned on the hot water, and grabbed the dish soap, squeezing a bit out. She waited for the water to sudz up. She turned off the water and began to wash her dishes. "Both of you get eating, especially you, Riku."

Sora watched as Kairi had gotten up with her untouched food. He didn't like it when she lost her appitite, it never did turn out well. "Kairi, there isn't much we can do...I mean, what do you think she might do if we tell her she can't go...I'm afraid of what might happen...." It scared him to think of the second most important person in his life thinking that her parents were rash.
Hearing a sound at the door way he looked up to see Kai standing there, looking fidgety. "...I'm really tired...I thinki I'll be going to bed now..." She muttered in a somewhat shaky voice. Sora had to hand it to her, she did hide her frusteration pretty well, better than Kairi.
Meeting Kaizume's gaze he nodded. He understood that she didn't want to be pestered tonight, and he wouldn't do it. "Alright." he replied. Kai nodded before turning around and heading back upstairs.

Riku rose his hands in defeat. When Kairi made up her mind, she made up her mind. There would be no changing her mind now. Kairi ordered him and Sora to eat as she scraped her own food into the trash. As Riku began to pick at his food, he could only think that the only thing that could make this worse would be for Kaizume to know that her parents weren't going to let her go. Then, speak of the devil, Kai walked into the room. She seemed "calm," but both he and Sora could feel the frustration just roiling underneath the surface. He knew how it felt to be trapped on this little island. He felt bad, but, he had done his best, and there was nothing more he could do.
~

A few hours later, Riku waved goodbye to Sora and Kairi. Kaizume had stayed up in her room, so he couldn't have said goodbye to her. It was too bad; it would probably be a least 6 months until he came back here. He had to find out what was up with that world in darkness. He got onto a boat left at the docks; his old boat. He would go back to the island before leaving for another world. He just wanted to take a look around the old stomping grounds before he left.

After Riku had finally left the house, she waited about ten minutes until she was sure that he was gone, also to give him that little bit of a heads start. Kaizume knelt on her bed and opened the window. She listened carefully to make sure that her parents hadn't heard anything. There were only the sounds coming from downstairs, that of her two parents bickering, not fighting like the scary kind parents do, just simply disagreeing with each other. But not bad enough to cause violence, heck there wasn't even yelling, just slightly raised voices. That's how much her parents loved each other. She really was quite envious of them. They had found each other when they were very young...and now look at where they ended up in life.
When she was sure that her parents were oblivious to what she was doing she snuck out of her window. She dropped down to the ground, beside her bag. Again she froze to make sure that her parents hadn't heard anything. Standing up right Kai grabbed her duffle and slung it over her shoulder. She looked around to make sure that the coast was clear of neighbors, and began to make her way down to the docks.
She got to the docks and saw that Riku had taken his old boat across to the island. She walked over to hers and dropped the bag into the wooden structure. She pushed it into the water, and stepped in. Getting a hold of the oars she began to row after Riku, trying to make sure that her stroaks were quiet while they sliced through the water, so that she was undected.

How did the sky get so bright when it's about to become night? It's like.. a flame.. one last burst of light before you blow it out from a breeze; the fuel of the oxygen, almost taunting the fire only to be overwhelmed and com busting into smoke.

Kuraudo Sayomi stood near her bed looking out the window to the dimming sky, just about to turn in for the night. She was lightly holding the black curtains that shielded the moonlight from shining in her window and disturbing her sleep. Things have been weird in Radiant Garden lately... When the sun sets, it's more of a black darkness that follows dusk, not the usual calming feeling that she gets.

Kura took one last look at the horizon. She desired to be free from the house at night, but she knew that her parents would have her head mounted on the wall. However, she could feel that the time for her her to finally sneak out was approaching. It was just a matter of waiting for her parents to leave for the night or something, but that would never happen. Taking in her last moments to gaze into the night she would get before going to sleep, she closed the curtains, and laid on the bed.

"I wish I did not have to be bored all of the time...” She closed her eyes, and soon fell asleep, and dreamed.

Kura lie on the floor of what appeared to be the living room in her house, but it looked very different than it does now. She stood up and looked around, taking in the room.

This...is my home...but...

It looked as if the room was raided and destroyed. Compared to how it was now, the difference was a rather noticeable. The walls were splattered with blood, and the various paintings that were hanging in the room were ripped down and on the ground. Kura noticed that there was a window left open, so she began walking over to it. Upon arriving at the window, she looked outside, shocked at what she saw.

The sky was filled with darkness, but it had something else to it, and Radiant Garden was now in complete darkness. Kura drew back with a look of fear upon her face. Was she really seeing her home world's destruction? But...what could have caused such devastation?

How is this possible...?!

“It is the shadows that has returned...”

Kura quickly turned around to see nothing but a mirror. The girl that appeared in the reflection was dressed in white, with hair much similar to her own, but it wasn't her.

“W-who are you?” Kura asked the reflection, curiosity and fear in her voice.

The girl simply smiled. "The shadows... Have returned."

--

Kura jerked up out of her bed and pulled open the curtains. Outside, the unusual darkness was thicker, and she couldn't see as clearly through it. At this point, she was worried out of her mind, so she slipped on a jacket and quickly grabbed her two short swords from under her bed before making her way as swiftly and quietly as she could down the stairs. She slipped on a pair of flip flops, and cracked open the door just enough so she could see out before making her way outside.

There were two small yellow lights out into the distance, but they faded away into the darkness. Kura was curious of what they were, so she started to head in the direction of the mysterious lights.

Several minutes of walking seemed like hours to her as she wandered the streets of Radiant Garden through the thick darkness. Walking into nothingness, into sorrow, into...

All of a sudden, she heard something from behind her. It was her only reflex to take out her sword, turn around, and brace herself. Her eyes widened and her jaw dropped at what she had seen.

It was a small black creature, yellow glowing eyes, and what appeared to be ears atop it's small head. Instead of screaming and running back to her house, she stood there, it looking into her big, shocked blue eyes. Kura felt herself getting weak, and her mind was starting to blank. Once her vision started to blur, she knew that was that. She blacked out on the spot.

--

"No, that will never do! She looks much better in blue." Flash.

"But I'm sure she'd like this better." Flash.

"Now now dears,-" Kura groaned, and half opened her eyes, to see three little old ladies, each with wands in their hands. She was lying on a couch in an open room, with only some furniture. The woman in the red dress had her wand held up with sparkles surrounding it, and pointed it towards Kura.

"...where am--" Before she could finish her question, a ball of light came flying at Kura, and busted into a sparkle explosion. Kura then quickly sprung up, and stood in front of the three ladies. They all had on the same gowns and hats, the only difference was the colour. She then quickly tuned into the fact that she wasn't wearing the came outfit as she was when she left the house. Instead of her tank top and baggy night pants under her favourite sweater, she wore a poofy red and pink dress with black accents and lace on it.The three ladies stood in awe looking over Kura.

The 4 girls all stood there, Kura looking at the three, and vice versa for what seemed to be an eternity, but was probably only a couple minutes. Kura, whom was now in the state of denial, blinked a couple times before breaking the silence.

"Where are my cloths? Why am I in a frilly dress?" She said in an aggravated tone, and tried not to get too mad.

The shortest lady, the one in blue, then smiled and put her hands together. "Well my dear, you were in nothing but your nightwear, so we had to dress you. Do you not like it?"

"I'm not a fan of pink really, and I don't wear dresses every day-" she grabbed ahold of the poofy skirt part "-especially something like this..."

Before Kura could continue, the lady in green spoke up. "Well, we can change that for you dear!" She then raised her wand and used more magic to change her outfit; now a more fitted green dress, with something like a train on the back.

The blue lady then spoke up, with a look of disgust on her face. "Now Fauna, what makes you think she wants a colour like that? I say she looks better in blue." She then changed the colour to blue.

Before She knew it, the three ladies were bickering, and the colour of Kura's cloths were being changed every three seconds. Everything was happening so fast for her to take everything in. She didn't even know where she was! Things were starting to get annoying.

"Okay, listen up! Will you three just stop!? Why does it matter what I wear anyway?! Just make yourselves useful, and bippity-boppity-boo me back home!" She finally snapped. The three looked at her, and the one named 'Fauna' sighed.

"Your home, Radiant Garden, was taken over..." Fauna said, and looked over to a large door. "Master Yen Sid saw it all, he saw that you came in contact with the heartless... You should go see the Master."

"Heartless...?" She had never heard of what Fauna was talking about, but after a moment of thought, she remembered the little creature, and the dream. "...do you mean the shadows?"

Fauna turned to her companions. "Flora," She looked at the red lady "Merryweather," Then to the blue lady "Lets just listen to her, and stop fighting now."

Flora smiled then took over. "Yes, your right. Now, come on dears." As if they could read each other's minds, the three all raised their wands and pointed them at Kura, releasing yet another sparkle explosion. This time, her outfit was alot better. The tightly fitted dress was slightly longer and a bit more flowing making it more appropriate for her, and it was grey in colour with gold trim along the sweet heart neckline of the strapless dress. She also wore a black coat. The front cut off at her waist and buttoned up just below her bust. It has a train in the back, reaching to her knees, and a hood. The jacket has red lining in it, and gold accents. Kura lifted her hands so she could see them. She was wearing fingerless gloves, that reached two inches below where the sleeves cut off at her shoulder. The whole outfit had silver trim, and gold accents. Kura loved it.

"My word, how beautiful you are!" Merryweather said.

"Yes, she is!" Continued Fauna.

"Now my dear, you should go see Master Yen Sid. He's in the next room over." Flaura said, and waved her good bye.

Kura thanked the three ladies, and turned to the large wooden doors that the three were talking about. She pushed them open with ease, and walked into the next room.

There was an old man with grey long hair, and a long grey beard. He was wearing a long blue robe with a pointed hat bearing yellow stars and moons. His glare scared Kura.

"Are you.. Yen Sid?" She said, entering the room.

He was sitting in a tall chair in front of a bare desk. "I see you are doing fine. Yes, I am Yen Sid." He said, and glared into Kura's soul... It was really creepy. "What is your name?"

"I'm Kura, Kuraodo Sayomi... Where am I? What happened to Radiant Garden? The last thing I remember was... those eyes..."

"Kuraodo," He started, and didn't even move an inch while moving. "Radiant Garden was taken by the darkness. It's no longer safe there, nor can you return."

Kura gasped, and looked at the creepy old man. "I can't go back? Then.. What'll happen?"

"That, only destiny knows. But, what I need you to do, is to make sure one person stays safe... With destiny, comes danger."

"Stays safe? Who?"

"Her name is Kaizume, she's one of the few keyblade wielders in the universe. Speaking of keyblades, those heartless you've encountered back at your home, they only acknowledge those who have a connection with keyblades... Do you Kura?"

Kura put her hand on her chin, and thought for a moment. "Not that I'm aware of.. Maybe my relatives do perhaps."

Yen Sid then closed his eyes, and thought for a moment himself. "That relative would have to have been close to both you and that chosen.." he said to himself, then opened his eyes back to Kura.

"You want to go back home, do you not?"

Kura nodded her head. "Of course I do..."

Yen Sid held out his hand, and a ball of light appeared. "Destiny has it's ups, and it's downs. When it's downs happen, you need to unleash your full potential. Take this orb, and let your power flow."

Kura approached Yen Sid, and hesitantly reached for the orb. It disappeared, and a sudden rush of energy enveloped her body. Before she could even ask what was going on, she could feel her body get warmer, and she felt full of life. It was nothing like she'd felt before. Kura held her arms out, and dark aura started to appear near her palms. A small flare of darkness went off, and her what seemed to be two short swords like her own appeared in her hands in reverse grip. Instead of her dull leaf shaped swords, two black and white bladed weapons appeared.

The aura disappeared, leaving her standing in front of the wizard with weapons drawn. Kura admired herself momentarily, then staggered backward from Yen Sid.

"What's going on..?" She asked, her voice trembling.

"Use your new found power to get to Kaizume, Make sure she doesn't get hurt. Be her guardian. Although I don't know you well, you do somehow have connection with the heartless, so they'll keep approaching you where ever you are; even if the connection is far." Yen Sid nodded in approval of his own words. "I can see that you have good in your heart. That reaction a moment ago, it seemed that darkness was your main affinity, which means you do have darkness in your heart like every other being in the universe. But, Kuraudo, because it came to you so strongly, means you can see the good in darkness, which proves the strength in your heart."

Kura looked down at her hands, and her two new weapons vanished, but she could stiff feel their presence. "...Okay. If all of this is what you say, about destiny that is, then Destiny will take me back home, and make Radiant Garden save again... I just know it." She looked back up to Yen Sid with a sly smile on her face. "I'll do it then!" And she turned to a door which she assumed was the exit.

"There's no way to get to Destiny Islands on foot. Use your powers, trust your first instincts." Yen Sid said.

And without further ado, the power took over again. Kura held out her hand, and a portal like spot of darkness appeared in front of her. And after thanking the old wizard, Kura stepped into the darkness.

--

The clear open ocean, a beautiful white beach, a bendy tree, was this really the place? Kura looked around, and the dark portal thing disappeared as she walked out of it. The bitter nip of the night breeze was chilly against Kura's bare legs. She was completely dumbfounded by the beauty of the night sky, the water shimmering from the glow of the stars and the moon, gently glowing in the dark night sky.

Kura walked over to the bendy tree, and lent against it with her arms crossed. Her vibrant red hair blew in the wind as she became completely oblivious to everything else of that island. She can find Kai-whoever later....

Mischievously messy hair, check. Dashing bright hazel eyes, check. His glasses, which not only allowed him to see his beauty, but added to his intelligent style, check. And last but not least, his devious yet charming smile that always captivated the ladies, check.

With a spring in his step, and a quick good bye to his parents, Yasuo put on his overcoat, and left his house to go roam the island. There was a warm feeling in the air, especially for the night, that drew Yasuo out for a walk. Millions of stars blazed in the darkness, being complimented by the moon's radiant glow. He shoved his hands in his pockets, and made his way along an old dirt path that he used to take to get to the beach all of the time.

Yasuo's home was close enough to the shore that he and his childhood friends would go whenever they felt the need.

Upon arriving to the beach, Yasuo noticed someones clothes lying on the ground next to a towel. He looked around the area, and found no one, so he looked out to the sea. There was someone there... but he couldn't quite see who it was due to the glare of the moon's reflection. He looked a little harder, and made out that it was a petite girl, mid length brown hair..... was it...? It's most possible that it was... Yep!

"Oh lady-Misaka!" Yasuo's smile grew, and he waved his arms at his friend. "You should have told me you were going swimming! I would have accompanied you!~" He then dashed down closer to the shore, right on the outskirt of the waterline. Yasuo looked out to the horizon with a look of joy on his face.

Zhioldech sat in the pilot seat of his Gummie Ship, waiting for Cid to contact him. He stood and walked over to the observation window. He looked down at his home world, wondering if it would be swallowed by darkness. He may not know who his parents were, but he didn't want them getting hurt. Shaking his head, he turned and began walking back to the pilot seat when the monitor at the control panel started beeping, indicating a transmission. Running over to his seat, he sat down and pressed a button. Cid appeared on screen. "No time to explain, kid," he said. "Get goin' to the Destiny Islands. See if you can find Sora. We have things to deal with right now."

Before Zhioldech could say anything, the screen went blank. "All righty, then. Guess I'm gonna head over to Sora. Let's hope things don't get out of hand." He brought up a map of the currently known worlds and set the ship to auto-pilot, making Destiny Island the destination. "Now I guess I might as well take a nap. Not like there's anything else to do." Figuring it was best to stay there in case something happened in flight, he slowly dozed off in his chair.

Riku got off the boat and stepped on to the docks, looking around and the island he knew so well. Back then it had been small and stifling; now, it still felt small, but it was warm and welcoming. It was his home. He walked down the beach, looking at the familiar turf that he and his friends had once longed to leave. It was amazing how much a person could change given enough time.

First stepped into the old secret place that was covered drawings on the wall. Most of them were from Sora and Kairi, especially the one that depicted the pair sharing a Paopu fruit. The door was there too, the same one he had opened all those years back. That was the door that lead to the heart of this world, and therefore, he, Sora, and then King had all locked it with their keyblades years back. It would take three keybladers to unlock what they had done.

Riku left the cave with a small smile. It was good to be back here, even if he was about to leave again. He made his way up to the small island with the paopu tree then saw something; or, more precisely, someone. He walked onto the island cautiously, stopped, then called out, "What are you doing here? And who are you?"

Kaizume rowed up to the dock some time after Riku. Hopping out of the boat she waded through the water, pushing her boat completely under the dock so that it wouldn't be seen. She saw Riku head over to the Secret Place. Very quickly she ran over to the other side of the bridge that led from the shack to the Paopu fruit tree. She hid around the corner of the outcropping, and watched the enterance of the Secret Place to see when Riku would emerge.
A blob of swirling darkness errupted out of no where, and a girl stepped forth. She looked around in amazement, almost like she had never seen anything like it before. She had decided to lean against the tree and just look out amonst the ocean. Kai couldn't help but be jealous of how pretty she was.
"What are you doing here? And who are you?" she heard a voice say. She knew that voice all too well, she had memorized so that she could remember the stories that he told her, and you needed the voice other wise the story was destroyed. She saw that Riku was walking over towards where the girl had stood, and that he had just come out of the Secret Place. She could hear his foot steps crunch and sift in the beach sand.
Kai quickly hid herself so that Riku wouldn't know that she was there. Her plan was to some how stow away, though she wasn't so sure how. After all it wasn't like she had Alice's "Drink Me" bottle of shirnking potion. Now that she thought about it, that was something to look for, if she ever went to Wonderland that was.

A deep voice called out to Kura, completely breaking her trance. She turned her head to see who the voice belonged to, her hair blowing in the sea breeze. There was a tall man with long, white hair. Even though it was dark out, she could see him as clear as day, probably part of the power Yen Sid gave her. No, he didn't give her the power, he gave her the chance to unleash her own power.

"Who are you to ask for my name?" She said, cocking her head to the side. "And I'm sure you know your manners not to get into other people's business, sheesh." Kura sighed, and stood up from leaning on the bent tree.

As Misaka lounged in the water, she could here a voice from the shore. The voice was instantly familiar. It was one of her childhood friends, Yasuo, calling out for her. She started to swim into shore, noticing as she did that she had floated off a long distance from the beach, and it took her longer that she had thought to get back to land. Once she did, she walked over to her towel and started to use it to dry off as she said to Yasuo, "Come on, you know why I couldn't have called you. I like to swim and piece, and with you here, I wouldn't get any. Your fangirls wouldn't leave you alone."

Yasuo had been her friend for almost as long as she could remember, so she was pretty much immune to his good looks. She was aware that he was a "total cutie," in the words of some other girls she knew, but she had been around him for so long that she didn't really notice. He was a nice guy though, and he probably could get girls even if he wasn't as handsome as he was. Misaka could almost laugh at the ridiculous sight he sometimes cause. Some girls would literally take a doubt take at him when he walked into the store or through the square. Really, it was hysterical.

Misaka, once dry, slipped her clothes into a backpack that she had used to transport the towel and keep it sand free. Honestly, it was more than warm enough to just wear the suit, and she would have to take a shower when she got home anyway. She started forward and said to her pal, "Well, lets get back home now."

The weather was so cold a couple weeks ago that the pipes froze&exploaded! So the highschool wing is compleatly totaled and they have to share class rooms with us untill the damage is repaired XD (I'm in grade 8 btw, ) So we only have to go to school on Tuesdays and Thursdays and sometimes Fridays...

But I don't have to go to dchool anyway, spring break (and there's still snow everywhere!??!!?)

Meanwhile...

If Yasuo's not going to be with Misaka, then that can be his reason for traveling with Riku n.n

I like Misaka in group one, because I want her split from Riku too. I also like the Ying-yang idea, so will wait for your cue to go into the awakening. I will post later when I get home from school.

Re: [OOC] Kingdom Hearts:Rebirth

@Chari: 'Kay, we're both going to have Misaka and Kaizume in the Chamber of Awakening. Though they might not meet there, but since they both have to go through it, here's my idea. They go through at the same time, and gain their keyblades at the same time, but kind of like Yin and Yang...

As for groups, I like the idea of Kai and Riku splitting up. And it would make sense for Strife you be with Kai's group since they are new commers to the universe and don't know anything, he could be their guide, but it is up to Urelasticreflection
.... Also it is up to Chari weather or not she wants Misaka in Kai's group or not.

As far as I know here are the groups:

Group 1: Kaizume, Kurodo, Strife?, Misaka?

Group 2: Riku, Levis?, Yasuo?

No idea: Axel, Demyx

Re: [OOC] Kingdom Hearts:Rebirth

Landmarks on the Twilit Isles... Well, there is a BIG rock off shore some ways that the kids like to swim back and forth from for races. On the main island, I would say there is a candy shop nearby Misaka's house, and perhaps a square plaza in the middle of the island.

Re: [OOC] Kingdom Hearts:Rebirth

@Chari: I made Yasuo's post, and I'm going to make a map or somthing of Twilit Islands so we can have a visual of where they live n.n" ... Twilit Islands were your creation, any land marks you want in there?

I think I may have an idea, but I don't really want to anounce it without Neko-chan's approval first,

and also, keep in notice that Axel is Kura's older cousin, so there's a plot twist waiting to happen on the topic of groups. also note that Kura has the power of darkness, and she has a pretty greedy personality, .....justsayin'.

Re: [OOC] Kingdom Hearts:Rebirth

Well, the way I have things going, I could have Cid contact Strife again and send him to Destiny Isles to try to get a hold of Sora, but he arrives when or just before things start falling into darkness.

Urelasticreflection wrote:So, who should the groups be, then? I can go with whatever. I'm waiting for the right moment to make my next post.

Well, here is my idea. Kura and Kai are together, first off, because that was requested. I want Misaka to go with them, and maybe they meet up with someone else, such as your Strife or the other keyblader (whose name eludes me ATM). Yasuo could go too, I guess, instead of your guy or the keyblader. The other group would have Riku, for sure, and probably everyone else who isn't in group one (not count Axel and Demyx). It is the two nobodies that are hard to place; I guess they should be left to whoever is playing as them to choose were they go. The groups could probably meet up at some point then split up again with different members.

Again, this is just an idea, and the choice is up to Neko anyway.
