Appearance & Personality |
Combat Experience | Mei is skilled in hand-to-hand combat and many other arts therein; she favors the bow and the number of daggers she keeps on her person. Her versatility in combat is distinctly opposite her static inability to maintain a conversation comfortably. She practices a bit of magic, but only in secret. If she were sent to Troumora, and taken from her brother in the process, she's sure it would kill her.
Beliefs | The hunter is a quiet follower of Cyollee & Lyvellen. She is not particularly devout; believing more strongly in her guiding principles than in the Gods. Her favored beliefs center around what she calls "the beautiful hunt"; the hunt for the greatest parts and feelings of life. This unique ideology was something she borrowed from her mother who explained to Mei that the greatest hunt she had ever experienced was the more or less accidental hunt for her father.
Aspirations | She is not a woman seeking power or love; at a glance, one would think she aspires to being rich but, this is not true either. In reality, Mei aspires to strength in battle, love at home, and never being without a target to hunt.
Possessions | Dressed almost always in thick but flexible leather armor, a hood pulled tightly over her face, and a dark expression Mei has always left the heavy lifting to her brother. She keeps their gold close, tucked away in her clothes along with a number of hidden daggers. Her belt carries her two favorite daggers and on her back she carries her quiver, usually about thirty to fifty arrows backed inside, with her father's old bow strung over the quiver.
History | Mei was born a twin to Nythivellan Marqe and Kail. Her mother, Marqe, was an infamous pirate and bounty hunter and her father Kail was next in line for the role of High Knight in Aldorei. With such high ranking, and opposite, parents it was a wonder the union even came to be. Kail had been ordered to seek out and "rid off" the horrid pirate but shortly after meeting Marqe he became completely infatuated. Soon he was turning away his duties to see her and ultimately they were married. To tend to his now pregnant wife, he relinquished his position in the Aldorei and they made a home for themselves on the western coast of En Lome. Their two children grew up happily with devoted parents in a comfortable home. They were raised as warriors and hunters; shown strength and power, on and off the battlefield. The twins' bond was strong, unbreakable at least, they were together always and taught to rely on each other.
Their bond is one formed in the darkest of the night. They are inseparable. No one knows exactly what happened in those three years but Meiryn. Something awful. Something that hurt her. But something that gave her the power to stand as she does now and to manage her powers better than she ever had before.
