The Neck, also known as Nix, Nyx, Nixie, Näck, Nek, Nykr, Nykk, or Näkki, a malevolent spirit of the ponds, a vile demon of the lakes, a deceptive seducer of the depths. The Neck is a transgender shapeshifter, sometimes it appears as a male, sometimes as a female, sometimes as both, sometimes as neither. It seduces others with it's singing and it's violin playing, luring them into the depth in which it dwells, waiting for a time to strike, for when the enthralled victim walks too close to the habitat of the Neck, it strikes and drowns it's victim, and effectively devours it. It's looks can be decieving, as it appears as a beautiful, voluptous human figure and combined with it's enchanting singing and violin playing, very few can resist it's temptations. It's true form is a disgusting, truly horrifying merge of a human, a plant and a fish, eager to devour anything and everything that falls to it's trap.
Yet, surprisingly, he has a surprisingly humane pastime, as he tends to swim around and slack off in riverbeds when not actively hunting. In some nights, he rises up from the depths and walks among humans, feasting with them.

A flock of nix roses and lily pads mark the homestead of the Neck. At times, a chilling scream can be heard from nearby lakes or ponds, indicating an evil omen...
In it's true form, The Neck appears as a rather tall humanoid with a slender build. It has a hideous facial appearance and rows of small jagged teeth ideal for carving out flesh from bones. It has small snake eyes embedded in rather large and dark eye sockets. It's hair consits of various forms of seaweed, and it's wet and green-tinted skin has clusters of barnacles in it. It has long fingers with sharp fingernails, as well as webbed hands and feet. It's other bodily features depend largely on which gender it is currently appearing as. It has some tied-up seaweed for (just barely) covering the genitalia, as well as for decoration for some other parts of it's body. It smells like a mix of dried frogs and mold. When disguised as a human, it appears as a gorgeous and luscious pale-skinned blonde, either male or female.
