Thomas' face was looking quite indifferent, but his mind was troubled. He wanted to help the girl, but what to do?
What can I do in a situation like this?...hm
He thought hard but could not think of any way of aiding her, contributing to her situation.
Well...I suck *sigh*
As Thomas reflected upon his failure, a woman approached. Salvation! Maybe she could help the child instead? That would be good. It would allow Thomas to focus on what needed to be done next in order to survive. But for now Thomas sat silently and observed the woman converse.
'Do you want to see you parents one more time?'
wait what? what is she saying? She's not gonna, kill? this girl...?
No, she was not, the woman. As she continued to speak, It became clear the woman was not planning to kill the young girl, but rather offering to revive her parents.
Oh, right, revive the dead, mm. Forgot this was a dream.
Although, it seems the young girl did not find comfort at all in this offer. She panicked, declined, began crying, and then she passed out.
"Man..." Thomas said out loud, and he began struggling to get up on his feet. It was quite painful to move.
Finally standing up, he faced the woman who, from Thomas perspective, had failed to comfort the young girl.
"You're terrible at this." he said. It was a statement, rather than an insult. He turned his head back to the young girl, she was very miserable looking. He turned his head back to the woman.
"That was terrible, really bad."
Still kneeling by the bodies she could hear a transformation going on a little way behind her, glancing at the sun showed that it was probably the Succubus showing her true form.
Feeling the sudden menacing aura behind her the pixie grinned and turned round to face her.
"Now, now, no need to get all testy on me. I didn't do anything, that girl was just overwhelmed, still rather boring don't ya tink?" She said as she wondered back to the group from the bodies she had been inspecting, "Can you believe her? Calling my beautiful babies zombies? The nerve."
She heard the Succubus start asking questions at someone who was small with wings, glancing around she tried to spot who she was talking to before shaking her head.
The poor dear must be delusional.
"Now miss... What was your name again? Anyway, there is no one here who fits your discription, maybe the heat is getting to you? Shell we move towards the forest?"
Turning to the remaining two still at the crash she sent the demon a blinding smile, " You betcha love, nothing beats the living dead, they are truly something." She sent the Succubs a wink and a cheeky grin before turning to look at the other human. Although he was older than the girl he was also suffering from mild dehydration and heat stroke, he needed to get to the forest and get some water into his system before he passed out like the girl.
Walking over and hauling the man up so that he was standing, she gave his shoulders a friendly pat and pointed after the jogging were puppy and the ice dragon, indicating for him to follow them.
"Oh and don't worry about not being able to tell a pixie and a gnat apart, it's the exact same for demons. You might as well all be greed or sloth demons for all we pixies care." The Succubs had been right, she did have attitude and lot of it for her little pixie body. Grinning as the group finally made its way towards the dense forest she couldn't help but smile at the thought of entertainment.
Those clouds... He thought while shifting his eyes around the landscape.
We need tinder, and dry wood.
He sniffed the air. Sitting still, his arms and legs were as relaxed as can be, laying naturally on the ground and on each other.
No salt in the air, no ocean, at least not nearby. How far inland are we? The night may get very cold. Hmm, yes, a fire is crucial.
Now then, shall we get started?
Most of Thomas' body was aching. His chest was especially tormenting him, broken ribs. And he was damned thirsty, and hungry. Yet he could keep perfectly composed and calm. This was due to his nature more than anything. It had been a long time since he last got truly excited, stressed or angry. A girl approached. A cute one, looking 18, wearing white. Her irises were glowing green.
She grabbed him, he did not mind so he did not object. She pulled him up onto his feet, remarkably strong for her size. This was good, since Thomas had just decided to get going.
"Thank you" he said, though not very convincingly. Then it was back to his mind.
Shelter, we'll need shelter. There was forest, and desert.
Forest or desert, where to? Not a difficult choice.
Thomas followed the creatures into the forest.
His body was hurting, he was dirty and he smelled terribly, even he himself could tell this. But this was new, and probably the best thing that had happened to him the past seven years and even he himself could tell this.
Either he dies, or he leads a different, stranger life. Both outcomes were fine by him. As he treaded the sand towards the forest, his main concern was that this was all a dream. That would be disappointing.
Turning back towards the corpses of the crash, she knelt down next to the closest one and pulled out her death dagger which she was about to use to conjure the dead werewolf. Moving quickly and efficiently she cut a small amount of skin of the back on the humans neck before placing it into a vial where it would be kept as fresh as possible before she could return home and add the DNA to her conjuring pot.
Once finished, she shrunk her body back to the size of a pixies and felt her wings appear on her back, taking off into the air she quickly zipped and weaves past the group into the forest, landing by the a small river that was near the entrance to the forest. Stopping to glance around and make sure their was no danger she gave a satisfied nod before looking upwards as she felt a drop of water hit the back of her neck... Basically drenching the poor pixie.
Flying up to investigate found her looking at the back of Neck's head. "So even creepy water spirits get curious. I thought you only cared about eating people... Oh wait that's probably why you came huh." She stated as she flew round so that she now floated in front of the things face. She had never had a problem with neck before and had talked to the spirit once or twice, escaping easily with the help of her undead, speaking to it whenever she came across the spirit.
The Neck had fallen asleep over time, truly awareness was not his greatest gift. To his disgust he saw a pixie in front of him, that particular pixie he have had trouble eating over the years. He had given up on her a long time ago. Even though his morbid appearance, the pixie always sought to speak to him, and this troubled and annoyed him. After several seconds of loathing, he finally opened his mouth:
"Great, out of all creatures on this armpit of a planet YOU show up. Shouldn't you be caught in a spider's web, or playing pranks on minotaurs? Get out of my face you wretched bug."
"I always did think you looked a bit more desirable in that size, less like a puny insect. Some flesh on your bones would look good on you. But, alas, your brain has not taken the effects of your transformation. But you are right, they would like a soothing tune to their life. A trek over a hot desert after falling from the sky does no good to your nerves."
"You are aware there is a Werewolf, Succubs and Ice dragon in that group. Though the werewolf might be susceptible to you music, I don't think the Succubs would be effected at all while the dragon is to strong for you music, and seeing as they all seem to like the humans I don't think your going to get your meal anytime soon..." She trailed off as she turned to watch the group along with Neck.
The neck turns his head towards the passing group. His music swirls around him, floating phrases of tongues long lost.
"Yes, they have grown fond over the outlanders. Pitiful. But it is true that i am very unable to reach them while they are protected by that disgustingly cold creature. And you, you dare to defy your true nature just to appear as one of them in your own habitat? They are trekking over your lands, your forests. Soon they will breed like the filthy insects they are. They will chop down these lands and desecrate the shrines and groves you have lived your whole life in. You are smart enough to defy me and my music. But you truly are a fool."
"Come on deary, let's go introduce you to the group. Unless you want to hide up here and be a creeper." She commented, "That reminds me I need to go and deal with those human corpses later, you can come eat some of them if your feeling peckish." She commented nonchalantly.
"Not everyone desires to spend an eternity in this mortal coil. The spirit world should be no-ones business. As a pixie you should be very aware of this."
"I'd rather steer clear of the group. Surely they would know who to blame when a human goes missing. Besides, they would not appreciate my appearance...And no thank you, the flesh of the dead has no value to me."
She sat down on a branch, showing no interest in the pixie.
"That's a good idea actually, don't try eating any of the humans or I will be a tattle tale! Don't worry who you appearance love, it grows on you... Eventually..." She commented as she began to shrink her body to that of a pixies again and now floated in the air, silvery wings beating softly.
"I don't get what's so bad about dead flesh, technically you eat if everyday when you dragged whatever poor soul got leered in by your music into your home and eat them. There is no way for them to be alive while you eat them so technically your eating dead meat." She commented before glancing at neck and pouting when she noticed the spirit was no longer paying attention to her.
"Fine, I see when I'm not wanted." She said as she made her way back towards the hole in the canopy she had come up through before pausing, glancing back at the spirit and getting an evil smile.
Spinning around quickly, she turned her body back to human and flung her arms across the poor spirits back as she gave him a deadly hug. "I will chat to ya later! <3" she said into its ear before jumping back and falling through the trees to land in front of the little group.
"Hay guy! Ready to get these humans all healed up?" She questioned as she pulled out her dagger and began to swing it lazily between her fingers just to give them a little scare. Though her dagger could be used to reanimate the dead, it could also heal wounds and other nifty things.
