Alice Natalie Daniels

AGE Alice is seventeen, though she isn't sure herself.
GENDER Female. Definitely.
SPECIES Human/Monkey
EXTRA MUTATION OR ABILITY Well, she can shoot lazers out of her eyes and is invincible! ... just kidding. No, she can climb more efficiently - as in, higher and faster. She is also very light and lithe, which helps the fact that she can balance on weak branches.

Image

HUMAN FORM APPEARANCE Alice has dark brown hair that is naturally quite straight, and falls just below her chest. Her eyes are a deep brown that shine slightly when she gets an idea, with long, dark lashes. Her skin isn't extremely fair nor tanned, and her physique is small, standing at 5'3 and weighing no more than 100lbs. Her face is heart shaped, with full lips and a slightly large nose.

ANIMAL FORM APPEARANCE Monkey. A chimpanzee, to be exact. Let's face it, as a monkey, Alice is hardly going to look attractive. She has the same deep brown eyes, along with black fur. Like her human form, her animal form is quite small, and she could easily be mistaken for a small child.

PERSONALITY To some it up in one word: A Monkey. Alice is quite... eccentric, to say the least. With her mouth that never seems to stop talking, and the fact she can't sit still for a minute, she acts like an eight year old, and is one of those people who you either seem to love or hate. Mostly hate. But she is overall sweet and bubbly, and definitely immature for a seventeen year old. It probably had something to do with the fact she had been in the lab since six. Or most likely she had gone insane. With the occasional panic attack over nothing, or some days where she will just hole up by herself, insane would probably be the word to describe her. Apart from that, she is extremely stubborn with a bad temper, and loves to play different tricks on people. She also hates underground, and is extremely claustrophobic.

HISTORY Alice herself doesn't know her own history - probably because she has been in the lab since a child. All the experiments seemed to wipe her memory to a clean slate, whether accidently or on purpose. All she remembers is a bald girl a few years older than her, and her parents, though all are pretty fuzzy in her memory.

Alice's eyes fluttered open as she awoke. She sat up in her cramped cage, and wasn't surprised to see that she wasn't the first one up. She liked to sleep in as much as she could, even if it meant putting up with the nightmares. At this point, nightmares were better than reality.

She glanced around to see who was up, and immediately noticed Hope. She doubted that the leopard girl even knew Alice's animal, but Hope wasn't someone you easily forgot. She made herself noticeable, to the point where she was unforgettable. The lab would be a lot quieter without Hope, but Alice liked noise. The silence scared her.

"Hellooo!" she said loudly, stretching out the 'oh' sound. She giggled to herself, putting her hand to her mouth to stop herself from bursting into laughter. After a few seconds, she finally calmed down. "How is everybody? I'm good, anyway. I hope you're good, or it would be bad," she giggled here, before continuing. "Well, obviously! But, yeah, I'm good. Except that it's cold over here, and this cage is way too small. I wish I had a big one like you Hope. Because yours looks bigger than mine. So, how is everybody?" she asked again, smiling at the people who were awake.

She didn't realize the danger of anything, so yes, in a sense, she was extremely brave. But probably more foolish. "Is this cage always this cold, or is it just being extra annoying today?" she pondered aloud, before shrugging. Cold or not, Alice didn't really care. She lay don and looked at the top of the cage, pondering the difference between a leopard and a cheetah.

Hope looked over to the girl she thought was named Alice. Alice thought the cage was cold. She looked into Alice's eyes and made the cage warm and cozy. She made a blanket appear around her, and then a space heater appeared also. She tried to hold that there for a long time, but in the end she got tired and stopped, looking away from Alice. Two scientists appeared and walked toward her cage. They deliberately did not make eye contact, knowing what would happen if they did, and held a tranq' gun to her. They opened the cage and she hopped out. What now? They led her down a hallway, and turned a couple corners. THey came upon a door and it was opened. Inside was a glass window and a door. Inside the door was a rather large sort of terrarium. A Rainforest, she thought. "Transform." They scientists said. Really? Why? Either way, she shifted and flicked her tail. They led her toward the door and opened it, shoving her in. They closed and locked it behind her, and she looked around. A nice big tree was next to her, and she happily hopped into it, using her claws to pull herself up. She sat down in the tree, her tail hanging over the side. She looked over to the glass window, bt instead it was just a mirror. How odd. WHy was she here?

Connor sat in the cage wondering about the others. He heard the girl down the hall shout and he held up two fingers as to say hello. He watched as Hope was taken away by scientists and he shrugged. He wasn't used as much as any of the others were and he was quite content with that. He then saw them leave as another pair walked to his cage. He saw the gun and rolled his eyes. They opened his cage up and started walking down carefully waiting to see if there was anyway to get out. He was shoved into a large room. It wasn't much to his likings to hot and not enough natural bugs. He saw Hope looking a mirror on the wall. Connor transformed and quickly flew over and nibbled at her tail playfully to get her attention. He knew this would be bad to make her angry but he kinda wanted to do it. He flew to another tree and at a higher branch where he changed back to human form. " So house cat what's new?" he asked his legs swinging over as if he would be completely safe. He knew he is just a small snack for her but he can out maneuver most of the other Dameans. He is one of the only two that can fly and he felt confident in his power of night vision as well which made his the perfect recon.

Alice slowly opened her eyes to see the top of her metal cage. She must have dozed off. It wasn't like her, but then again, the cage had been so comfortable. Which wasn't really like the cage, either. Well, the cage certainly wasn't comfortable now. The metal floor she had slept on gave her a backache, and she could hardly stretch out her legs.

She heard the sound of approaching footsteps, the sound that must have woken her up. She sat up quickly, ignoring the fact that her eyes kept threatening to close. A sound of keys rattling against each other, and then the prison of hers was open. To reveal three well-dressed men holding something that looked awfully like a gun right at her. She was a monkey damen. What did they think she was going to do, pelt them with bananas?!

She obediently stepped, or rather crawled, out of her cage, blinking slightly at the change of light. One of the men gestured with his hand to follow them, and Alice nodded. One of them led the way, while the other two took the rear. So they couldn't speak to her now either, then?

She followed them to a massive glass window with one opening in it, which looked bolted shut. Alice studied what was through the glass. A gigantic rainforest. She could see something rustling in one of the bushes, but she couldn't make out what it was.

The door was unlocked, and Alice obediently started walking in, having to bend down slightly to get in, as she couldn't actually fit in otherwise. A man grabbed her arm before she could get through completely, and she jumped in shock.

"Change," he said, one simple, hollow word with no feelings at all. Alice's eyes widened in flight, and she quickly nodded. The man let go of her arm, and Alice quickly shifted. She sighed as her clothes ended up in rags on the floor around her. She had been planning to undress in a bush before she changed, so she would be able to wear the, again. Too late now.

Alice quickly walked in monkey form, excited to enter the rain forest. Her monkey senses were starting to kick in, and as soon as the door was shut again, Alice was off like a rocket. She sprinted into the trees, and climbed up the closest one, about half way up. She glanced back the way she came with a grin spread on her face, which soon faltered as she saw a monkey that looked exactly like her in a tree exactly like the one she was in instead of the glass window. Where the glass window went was irrelevant. All she cared about was that there was another monkey, damen or not, that was trying to challenge her to see who could climb the highest.

Without a second thought, Alice raced up the tree, eager to get to the top before the other monkey. She glanced in it's direction to see it right on her tail. She sped up slightly, and the other monkey did also.

Alice finally reached the top, but so did the other monkey. They had gotten up at literally the exact same time. Alice felt herself slipping, and nervously held onto the branches. She noticed the other monkey slipping, too. All she had to do was hold on longer than the other monkey, which she decided to nickname Patsy.

Alice felt her hands loosening, and soon she was falling from the tree. She quickly reached a hand out and grabbed onto a random branch, before pulling herself up. A quick glance at Patsy confirmed that she had too fallen, and was also sitting on a branch, one identical to Alice's.

Alice giggled, as did Patsy, and opened her mouth to speak, but noticed that Patsy wanted to speak, so let her. But Patsy's mouth closed at the same time as Alice, and Alice sighed. As did Patsy.

Wait a minute.. Alice raised a hand above her head, as did Patsy. Alice chuckled to herself. Of course! there was no Patsy at all. It was a mirror. Alice giggled happily and turned her back on her reflection as she scaled the tree once more.

Tina nodded as he said he was still stuck thinking about how to fix that problem. She had thought about his earlier when she first met him but she was distracted by hunger then. She could think more intensely now because she was ignoring her own problems. She thought about what it felt like when she changed although it may be different to sprout fur compared to feathers. She changed in place a few times before settling as a mouse with her answer. When she changed she could feel a small pressure in between her shoulder blades and she knew it was probably the same for him.
She was about to test her theory when she saw the fish float up out of the river. Her first thought was that the scientist had done something strange to the fish too when she turned to Mason. His topaz eyes were gazing intently at the fish and the fish seemed to be reacting because of it. With a gasp she realized what was happening. Mason was using telekinesis she thought wide eyes following the fish as it plopped down in front of her. She had heard of the scientist giving the Damen strange abilities to accompany being able to change into an animal but she had thought it was a rumor. She watched as the fish flopped around and died in front of her. "That could have been me." she muttered to herself barely making out the words.
Suddenly she was angry. Who was mason to say that it was this fishes time to die. It was no better than the scientist abusing their power to hurt others think it was "for the best". She changed back to human and started to walk away angrily. A voice in her head told her that she was being unfair and that was just what predators do. An even louder voice was arguing with the other that that didn't make it right. She was more partial to the second voice as she charged through the forest. She was going to go and talk to the rabbit damen who she deemed the only one that would understand her problems. She then remembered that in that direction there were at least two people who tried to eat her. She stopped for a moment steaming at her lack of direction when she heard branches rustling. She decided to had in that direction as it was a direction she had not been yet.
She kept walking this way until she came to see a black mound of fur up in the tree. She was prone to be cautious not wanting to get caught up with another predator but the mouse did not recognize it as a predator so she went closer. She sat down concealing herself in a bush and inspected the creature.

Alice almost feel out of the tree as she heard a rustling in the bushes. Was it something evil? A scientist? Or maybe it was another damen. Alice hadn't seen Hope nor the eagle man since they had left. What if they were in here too? Ooh, that would be great! They could have a little party in celebration! That would be so much fun!

But then again, she doubted either of them could fit in the bush. What a disappointment. Oh well! Being the friendly - and perhaps foolish - girl Alice was, she hopped down from the tree, branch by branch, until she reached the bottom.

"Hello?" Alice's voice rang out, sounding slightly hoarse. Alice coughed slightly. That was one of the only words she could say in animal form, as she still hadn't mastered her speech yet, so she was hoping she wasn't asked a question. She gave the bush a thumbs up, as if to say; "Hey, let's be friends and go find bananas!" Ooh, bananas...

Tina had just recognized the creature as a chimpanzee when it turned towards her. Surprisingly enough she didn't flinch as she usually did when strangers turned towards her. She was still debating if this chimp was a predator or not. If it was a predator she could risk being rude and would charge out of here without looking back.
It didn't seem as if it could be a predator she said noticing it had no sharp teeth or claws but just like everything else she had ever met it had the potential to hurt her if it wanted to. This chimp was a wild card and the curiosity bubbling inside Tina would't let her ignore it as it said hello. It was a hoarse voice but she could still make out that it belonged to a girl. It came as no surprise that this was yet another Damen as she did not see why the scientist, even in all their curiosity, would out a wild animal in with all these Damen. She was about to walk out of her hiding place when she remembered that she was naked. That would be a weird first impression she thought changing into a mouse and exiting her bush. She put on as much of a smile as a mouse could muster and introduced herself. "Hi i'm Tina." she said almost laughing at her squeaky voice compared to the chimp's hoarse one. Despite her willingness to interact she hung back ready to dart into the bush if necessary. She prepared herself for the bad luck to strike as she introduced herself but calmed as not came. Yet she thought chastising herself for letting her guard down so soon. While she awaited for an answer she kept her ears pricked for any sign of danger. She wouldn't be surprised if Mason tried to follow her but she was also wary of the snake damen. Hope had seemed to have that under control but as the mouse constantly tried to convey predators can't be trusted. She felt slightly guilty as for the first time in her life she believed it.

Alice turned her head, looking for the source of the noise.
"Hi, I'm Tina."
Alice's head swiveled around at the sound of the squeaky, high pitched voice. It was a small mouse, a white one, just outside of the bushes. It looked mildly frightened, as if it wanted to go hide in the bush again.

"Alice!" Alice said in response, another word she could say in animal form. Her eyes glanced over at a nearby tree for a second, before turning back to Tina. She felt like shifting back to normal form, but knew that might come across as rude, under the.. circumstances. It was just so frustrating not being able to speak around others. When she was on her own, she would gladly be her chimpanzee form. But around others, she wanted nothing more to babble on and on.

She contemplated ways to get clothes as she waited for Tina's answer.

Tina nodded as Alice gave what she assumed was her name. She could tell that Alice wasn't great at talking in animal form and she was okay with that. Tina herself had taken a long time to learn how to speak as confidently as she did now. At first she refused to speak feeling too embarrassed at her high squeaky voice despite the scientist pressuring her. They usually made her be in mouse form during their examinations seeing that she couldn't hurt them that way not that she would anyway. She figured that Alice wouldn't change until she had some clothes or at least something to cover herself. She thought about making some clothes like she had before but didn't know if she could find the leaves in this area. Then she remembered that she had an extra pair of clothes that she had made for the rabbit Damen. She could go get those and then Alice should have no problem changing. Unless she was like Mason and had some issues becoming human. No mason is just weird she said making her decision. "I know where I can find some clothes. I'll get them if you want." she offered before scurrying off without waiting for an answer. She rushed to the clothes but not without caution figuring that Hope didn't have the heart to kill the snake damen and he was still on the loose. She would hardly turn a corner without using every sense she had to make sure it was clear for danger. She smelled the scent of her berry bush nearby and shivered knowing the danger of the snake was higher than ever. Taking a deep breath she forged on to her destination.
