A campus secluded from all of humanity, what happens when a group of humans stumbles into it?

701 readers have visited Lamura Monster High School since Aurelier created it.

Introduction

Lamura High School was kept a secret from all of humanity for a millenium in a secluded forest with a beautiful lake. Those who were found out to be monsters were immediately taken to the school. But in covens or packs of monsters, those that came of age would come to the school. The schools classses take place at night where they are most comfortable.

The monsters and creatures of the school lived in peace untill one day a band of humans saw the school. They had weapons in their hands and knew how to kill the monsters because of old fairytales that had somehow escaped the campus. Unable to kill or release the humans, the administrators decided that the group could also attend the school. They assumed that a monster would eventually try and kill the humans one by one, but some monsters became friends with the humans. This is a story of the monsters and humans of Lamura High School.

Monsters

Werewolf ~The werewolves do not only transform on full moons, but once they experience a high emotion they transform. This includes embarrassment or being shy and they are often embarrassed by this fact. As the werewolf ages and gets more experienced, they can control their transformations better.

Vampyre ~Their blood lust can usually be subdued by hunting in the nearby forest that is still on the campus, but the occasional rogue vampyre might hunt outside the school limits though it is strictly forbidden. They have extendable fangs and can turn into a bat. Blood bags are kept in the dining hall.

Witch/Wizard ~They can perform spells and make potions. Certain witches and wizards have things that can strengthen their power such as a staff or wand. They are the most human-looking of the monsters.

Demon~ A demon is very vampyric looking because of their pale skin. They normally have black eyes or hair. They can control the shadows around them and manipulate the power of darkness. A demon has a craving for blood, but does not need the blood like a vampyre. They normally eat human foods, though it is not neccesary. It gives them energy to perform their shadow manipulating.

Animalugus ~They have the same attributes as werewolves.

Necromancer/Alchemist ~An alchemist is the only one that can make a body seem reanimated. Alchemists use symbols to cast their spells. Though their spells are weaker than a wtich or wizard's they have more variety and can act as a necromancer.

If you have any other monsters please suggest them to me!

Olivia yawned as she sat upright and streched her arms out towards the ceiling. As sge yawned large white fangs glinted in the sun's setting orange glow. She slid her legs out from under the black and purple lace comforter and stood, wobbleing from side to side as she yawned once more. she smacked her lips and went to her closet, she pulled out a purple corset{like in the picture} with a black mini, and purple and black stilletos. she went to her mirror and fixed her hair into a ponytail{lick in the picture} and applied thick black eyeliner, mascara and purple eyeshadow. she applied also a thin layer of glossy pink lip gloss, as she went and grabbed her school bag and ran out the door, hoping to catch a snack before class. she walked out of the building and srunched her eyes tightly and walking on to her math class.

Willow sat upright in her bed and pushed the black and right sheets down. pulling her legs out of bed Willow stood up and opened up the blinds that covered her window letting in the bright rays from the sun.
Yawning she walked over to her bathroom mirror and stared at herself for a momment, Willow looked like her true fourm at the moment but in a flash she had purpple hair with long bangs,a pale face,a black tanktop,a wight and purple sweatshirt and faded blue jeans on.
Still looking at the mirror Willow flashed at grin for no reason and walked out of her bathroom.
if I don't hurry i'll be late for class..Willow thought slipping on her shoes and grabbing her school bag.
As always Willow turned into a pure bacl cat though she still had her goldish blackish eyes she sprinded out of her door and out of the building only to run into someone on her way out.
out of no where Willow turned back into the purple haired girl when she hit the ground, " ugh! sorry.." She said blinking at the Vampire that she had run into.

Olivia smiled as she saw the cat then the girl look at her.''why that's quite alright,i was in your way.'' she said and held her hand out to willow. she had always liked shapeshifters when she was a child, thinking how cool it would be to turn into a cat or dog or anything else whenever.'' umm, whats your first class?'' she asked her purple eyes shining in the bright sun. before long she reach into her bag and pulled out a bamboo stick, she pushed up and it becam a black umbrella with white and pink cherry blossoms on it. this she held above her head to shield off the sun.

Willow was a bit shocked at how nice Olivia had been considering she had just bout knocked her over, willow took her hand and stood up brushing herself off and looked back at Olivia " I have Math class first..what about you? " she asked looking up at the unbrella that Olivia had just pulled out of her bag.
" cool.." Willow siad under her breath more to herself, Though Willow was not to found of the sun it did not bother her as much as most the other people here.
For a moment Willow stared at Olivia already knowing she was a Vampire but she looked so human.

Annabelle skipped down the halls of the school before she came across two grils and one looked disheveled. Annabelle stopped and her blonde hair flew forward into her eyes. She swiped her sidebangs out of her violet eyes so that she could see.
"Are you alright?" She asked, not at all in a mean way. She was honestly concerned that they were both okay. If not, she specialized in healing spells so she could heal them up quickly.

Starlet strutted down the hall. Her stiletto boots made clicking noises against the stones of the walking path. Her shorts were barely legan and her tank top revealed her bellybutton. Her designer sunglasses protected her from the bright sun. Her silver hair was glittering in the setting sun. She knew that classes would be starting soon, but she didn't have any intentions of going to class. She noticed that a small group had gathered nearby so she walked over to them.

"What have we here?" She asked, looking at the small group. She sniffed the air. "Hm. A vampire, a shapeshifter and a witch. Such a motley crew."

Olivia smiled and then turned to Starlet.''So, just becuse we are different doesn't mean we can't be friends.'' she said shrugging and picking up a math sheet she had dropped.she looked at the sliver haired demon girl. Olivia wasn't one for demons, they were all uptight and thought they were so big and bad.'' Well, i have to go im gunna grab a snack before Class! Bye!'' she said walking off towards the dinning hall.

Mitch glanced up at the clock in the school's library, a thick, leather-bound book detailing the origins of the Christian faith's demons open in front of him. "Fantastic, time for school. I meant to sleep today, but I guess it's a bit too late for that." He muttered, marking his page number in his notebook and shutting the text. He spent more time than he would like to admit studying the various theories and explanations surrounding the demons associated with every major religion, which was partially due to his insomniatic nature and partially due to his former religious background. He sighed, sending out a shadow to replace the book on its shelf and standing. He put the notebook under his arm, and walked from the library, placing his goggles over his eyes as he boots thumped along the ground. His grey shirt was slightly wrinkled, and his hair was mussed up like he hadn't slept in a while (which he hadn't). Yawning slightly, he made headway for the small group of people milling about. Hearing Starlet's comment, he increased his pace, stopping close enough to where she could hear him. "Ah, and you're such an excellent judge, are you? I think you're just jealous that these random people are happier than you are, even without having pedigrees or useless white shadows." He smirked, crossing his arms over his chest and raising one eyebrow. He tapped one foot impatiently and glanced around, already waiting for an excuse to abandon this little gathering.

Annabelle shook her head at the two who were arguing with the demon. She hadn't said anything impolite or judging. She had only called them a motley crew, it was just the way she stood that made her seem impolite.
"Motley means exhibiting great diversity," Her small voice spoke up. It was almost musical. Her bangs fell in her eyes and she swiped them out of the way. "I don't think she meant anything mean by saying that. It was just we were all a different species." She looked up at the girl to see if she was right. She got annoyed when the boy started tapping his foot but she started making a song in her head to go along with it.

Starlet nodded down at the smaller girl. "I didn't mean it in a disrespectful way," She said, her voice losing its usually alluring tone. "I just meant it was strange to see so many different species in a group like this." She didn't like the new demon that showed up. "Are you jealous?" She asked him, adjusting herself so that she was looking into his goggles. "This conversation did not concern you. And white shadows are prized among our community, you should know this."

Willow looked at the two girls her face calm and kind of plain at the same time.
Nodding to both of them all she said was " Bye. " then she turned around and started to run, once Willow reached a nice speed she jumped high into the air.
There was a bright flash and Willow had turned into a Raven.
She spined in a circle once then took off towred her math class, Willow did not talk to anyone she did not know or did not like.
Slightly annoyed she landed on the ground with another bright flash she was the same girl with purple hair but just as fast and her purple hair came it changed into a very light blue.
Willow was now in her true forum.

"Pfff, like they do anything special. If anything, one's true origins should matter more than a fancy colored shadow. But I digress; why would I be jealous? I have too much stuff to do as it is, and frankly, other people only clog the streets and interrupt precious research time. And frankly, I only joined in because I didn't much care for your tone, and felt you should know as such." Mitch replied evenly, his voice gaining a slight monotone quality. He shook his head, and changed his stance, baring his palms towards Starlet, and slouching slightly more than he was. "Look, I think we got off on the wrong foot; I understand the significance of white shadows, they only occur every thousand generations in certain bloodlines and so forth, but I was apparently called from the otherworld to here, so I don't have that kind of history in my line. I'm Mitch." He said apologetically, trying to seem less standoff-ish than he had before. "I'm a bit of a jerk at times, I know, and I realize that must have been one of those times. I had no right to barge in on your conversation like that, and I'm sorry. Now, if you excuse me, I must get to class." He added, bowing deeply for slight sarcastic emphasis. He began walking towards the dorm where his room was located. "Though, I don't remember what class it is I have next, so I may just go sleep." He said over his shouder, smirking slightly.

Leyona smirked as he walked to class, his arms locked behind him innocently, his mind lost in space. He almost forgot to where he was headed. His footsteps were light and almost soundless; someone as small as him hardly made any sound as they walked. And the activity of the area surrounding the school was also a mask for his sound. He smirked as he reached down to the pocket on his tabard, and pulled out his schedule. "Mn. Math first. Not my favorite subjuct, but I suppose that you can't pick and choose these things..." He would say, neatly folding the paper back into a square. "Don't know where the room is, though...."

He looked around for a minute, before he saw a few people. He was sixteen, so he knew most of the people at the school, as of being here for a couple of years. Starlet was a little high-nosed, but she wasn't rude...most of the time. She had the power to control those odd white shadows, which Leyona thought to be one of the most odd things he'd ever seen. He and her hadn't spoken many times. Annabelle was very kind, although a little shy. Supposedly, she had a beautiful singing voice;though, he'd never heard it. And Mitch was very...energetic... He didn't think that Mitch liked him very much at all, but he wouldn't say anything, or treat him differently because of it. Leyona mentally shrugged, and walked over to the group. They were all taller than him, reminding him of how short he appeared. But then he remembered the rest of his outward apperance. It didn't matter.

He waited untill their was a pause in their speaking, before talking. "Excuse me...." He started. "I don't suppose any of you know where room 129 is, do you?"

Annabelle watched as Starlet and Mitch argued and started walking when he did. When she heard a boy ask her if she knew where room 129 was. She turned around to see little Leyona. It was strange seeing someone shorter than her and Leyona was a wonder to her. She didn't understand why he dressed so girly.

"I do, that's my first class," She said in her small, musical voice. She watched the other boy shout over his shoulder that he was going back to bed. She didn't understand why anyone would do that.

Leyona smiled lightly. "Oh, really? Then we've got next period together!" He said lightly, in his usual feminine voice. "Well, I'm in no particular rush - no account to, right?" he said in addition, not wanting to rush Annabelle from her friends. Mitch walked off in a hurry, once again, in his mind, Leyona thought it was because of him. But he digressed. You can't be friends with everyone. He thought to himself. The alchemist refocused on the two in front of him. "Well, what about you, Starlet? Do you also have the next class with us? If you don't mind me asking, that is..." He added quickly.

"I don't know," Starlet said in her alluring voice. Though she meant for the words to sound cruel, they sound sickly sweet. She turned on her heel and walked in the opposite direction with her hips swaying from side to side. Her long, silver hair swayed in time to it. Her stilettos clicked on the sidewalk as she walked back to the dormitory so she could grab her schedule. She had no intentions to go to class with the rest of them, but this wasn't her home anymore. It was school.

Mitch rolled his eyes as her heard Starlet walking towards the dormitories behind him. He stopped, folded his arms over his chest, and took his goggles off, leaving them hanging around his neck. "You know, Starlet, I have a question for you. I realize I came across as a bit of a jerk back there, but do you know about the skipraces?" He asked, turning on his heel to face her as she walked. "If you don't, just don't answer me, but if you do..." He continued, raising his left eyebrow for emphasis. He didn't know Starlet, or any other students, very well, but not out of shyness. He tended to move at a fast pace, and did things with an intensity that focused all of his attention on the subject, rather than the people around him. This new social aspect of himself was another thing he approached with intensity, and tended to drive off many people whom he attempted his forced social interactions upon. He was a slight bit, shall we say, 'unpleasent', the longer he went without sleep, and this tended to leach into his social attempts. Thusly, he was an angry, overly-intense person who tried exceedingly hard to make people his friends.

Starlet lifted her perfect silver eyebrow when she noted Mitch walking next to her. "It's fine. But I don't appreciate those who can't defend themselves a bit." She stopped to stare him in the face with her long silver hair flowing in the wind. She knew she came off as a jerk quite often and gained many enemies that way, but her friends were strong ones. Even if there were few of them. "I'm afraid to say that I've never heard of a 'skiprace' during my studies." She tried to remember back, but the name didn't ring a bell."What is a 'skiprace?" She asked, the word feeling strange on her tongue.

"Well, I don't know if you should hear this, but..." He said, moving slightly closer and smirking. "The 'skipraces' are some races that happen at night, but mostly during the day. They're a little thing that some of the people do around here because, frankly, this place is rather dull. If you want in, I have to pull some strings, but in any case you'd need to ride baggage with a sponsor." He continued, glancing around to make sure none of the people that shouldn't overhear such a conversation were present. Upon deciding that he was safe, he settled back, crossing his arms over his chest and continuing to smirk conspiratorially. "Remember, though; you didn't hear any of that from me. I'm already fringe as it is by mentioning it out loud; I don't want to be completely off the edge if it gets out that I told someone, who didn't already know about the races, about the races. It all comes down to who you know, and I know the right people so that I hang on as barely as I do." He stated, trying to gauge Starlet's reaction to his little spiel.

Starlet smiled her devious grin. "That sounds interesting." She placed one long finger across her cheek and presumed a thinking position. It was elegant and the way her hair was blowing it made her look like a model in a photograph. She looked back at Mitch, swaying closer to him in an alluring way, "Would it be possible for you to pull some strings and get me in on these? They sound fun." She hadn't done something fun in a long time and the idea of it made her excied.

Mitch looked at her with a devilish grin and a mischevious glint in his eye. "Believe me, it's more fun than it sounds. I think tonight is a lightless run, too. I'll have to rush, but I'm fairly certain that I can get you in. As baggage most likely, unless someone pulls from it." He replied, looking for all the world more like a demon than he ever has, outside of his car. He took a deeply sarcastic bow yet again, and began walking towards the dorms once more, albeit with a bit more of a spring in his step than he had before. It wasn't often that he found someone else who was interested in the races, but then again, he never really asked anyone. He began slowing, however, when he realized what he had done. "Wait, I just told someone who didn't know about it, about it. Ohhhh, I'm gonna get my teeth pulled for this one." He muttered, veering to the left to intercept another person, walking herself and not acknowledging Mitch at all. Bumping into her, he knocked her books from her hands and picked them up, speaking quietly about the current situation with Starlet. The girl nodded, collected her books from Mitch, and set off towards yet another individual who was walking alone.
