Name: Ronaldo Marinero
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Appearance:
Clothing: Usually wears a white or off white dress shirt with a brown leather suit vest and brown pants, along with brown shoes. All noticibly worn but in fairly good condition. He'll also wear a flat cap, which is... Also brown. The one thing that isn't brown is a rather bright red military uniform coat he acquired, and a drop earring with a single black pearl.
Occupation: Carpenter/ handy man
Equipment: He has a handsaw, and a few measuring instruments. He couldn't bring much more and hasn't purchased much more either. He also has his luggage case, though not much of interest is in there.
Homeland: Pueblo de Robles, Gran Valle escondido (Oak town, Great hidden valley)
Likes: Being a carpenter, his sister, his homeland
Dislikes: Being forced to leave his homeland, people who mock his lack of knowledge of the language or current monetary state.
Personality: He's rather shy and reserved, and rather reluctant to initiate conversation, but polite enough to continue conversations to anyone who wants to talk.
Background: He grew up in Pueblo de Robles, and while it was rather calm when he was a child, news political unrest and protests were not unheard of from larger cities on the outskirts of the country and the capital. Then, a group of people sparked a war, forcing poorer citizens to take a side or be killed. Ronaldo was 17. He and his family fled and hid in the forest that was their towns namesake, along with other families.
They couldn't escape for long. His 2 older brothers were captured by the Reds, and executed for refusing to support the cause. His father disappeared one night, and his mother became gravely ill and perished as well. All he had left were his three sisters. They had been forced to hide deeper into the forest, until they ran out of forest. Some people would speak of the Northern republic, some place overseas that wasn't plauged by war and political unrest. At first, it seemed like an impossible dream, but as his family shrank, it became a desperate hope to reach this land.
They needed to make it to Puerto Domingo, over Las Montes Divinas, though the mountains were steep, snowy, and not many knew how to get to the port, all they knew was they had to go in the opposite direction of their country.
If only they could've made it without a problem. They ran into a troop of Reds. They barely stood a chance. Their only blessing was a snowstorm, if it could be called that. Very few of their fellow townspeople survived while the Reds that weren't caught too badly by the storm retreated.
He was left with one sister, whom he thought he had lost as well until he noticed her wearing the coat of a fallen Red. The group that survived eventually made it to the port, and were forced to wait until they could earn enough for the voyage.
Well, the effort was made to force them to wait. The two simply hid in a crowd boarding a ship in that direction. It took a while, but they eventually made it to Newtown, even if it's taking some time for them to settle.
