β€œI find it so liberating when other people are rude. It makes me feel mild and lazy and mean."

BLOOD IN THE CUT; K.Flay

Guess I’m contagious it’d be safest if you ran
Fuck that’s what they all just end up doing in the end
Take my car and paint it black
Take my arm, break it in half
Say something, do it soon
It’s too quiet in this room

Now he makes it a point to dress his best regardless the occasion, as it makes a statement in his mind. A big Fuck YOU to his unfortunate upbringing. He dresses in a rather androgynous fashion, a mixture of feminine and masculine touches to his clothing. Usually, he prefers neutral colors, but has been seen wearing clothing of vibrant cultures. Occasionally, Ayden can be seen wearing sweats and a hoodie, typically during the mornings when he has a major hangover or after a hookup.

PERSONALITY

Ayden is a loud character. Being ignored most of his life, he makes it a point to have people pay attention to him. He's confrontational, always causing arguments and debates just for the sake of it. He almost gets a joy out of people disliking him. He'd rather they hate him than pity him. He absolutely hates needing help of any kind, making it a point to do everything on his own. He has a habit of pushing people away, keeping them at an arms length so he doesn't become too attached. Ayden has lived his life being constantly let down and now he refuses to allow it anymore. For nineteen, he's rather callous, arrogant and aloof with others so they keep their distance. Not that he doesn't want friends, he would just rather they not know much about him.

A large flirt, he's constantly trying to seduce the boys of the school. A bit of a slut, he uses sexual liberation as a coping mechanism for his past trauma. It's a good way to forget everything in the heat of the moment. He isn't one to beat around the bush when he says he's always down for a good lay. While strictly into men, Ayden has been seen flirting with the local girls too. Mostly to get to their hotter male friends, but whatever works, right?

Ayden doesn't sugar coat anything, whatever he says it was intentional, and he's never had "word throwup" as he always thinks about what to say before he speaks. He's always gauging for a reaction, almost trying to see what gets under people's skin and use it against them if he ever needs to. Not that he's trying to make enemies, its just that he's found it useful to have any sort of leverage.

While his life has been a shithole from the getgo, Ayden is rather arrogant. He believe's his perseverance makes him better than those who were coddled their entire childhood. He had a hard life and he's turned out alright, in his modest opinion. Still, Ayden is impulsive and constantly trying to prove he's a better man than those who grew up with a silver spoon in their mouth.

BIOGRAPHY

Originally from Romania, Ayden was put in the foster system from birth. He never knew his father, aside from paperwork that told him where he was from. A difficult child, Ayden was constantly being relocated to different families. No one wanted to deal with him, as he was spiteful and angry and could never deal with his emotions well.

Unfortunately, one of Ayden's households was rather cruel, using him strictly as a punching bag and an income. He lived with them for years, as they never wanted to lose their money and hand him back to the government. He stayed with them until he was seventeen. Out of anger, he had ran from home. Up until he was eighteen, he hopped houses of his friends and worked under the table jobs to get by.

Around that time was when he ran into his mother. She pitied him, felt horrible for the hand he was dealt. While Ayden is keen on the idea of being a demigod,
he refuses to speak to his mother. He's always had to do everything himself and now he isn't going to take handouts from a woman who was never there for him. She has tried to help him multiple times, but he constantly refuses her help and tells her to leave him alone. He's always been talented, using his hobbies and the wilderness as a way to escape from everything that he had to deal with in reality.

Throughout his life, Ayden has always used the weekends or hours after school to escape from his foster family. Usually taking to the forest, Ayden was either practicing photography, archery, or simply admiring the local fauna. Rather in tune with animals, Ayden has always had a love for the critters of the forest.
Animals in general love him fondly, and he has always held them dear to his heart.

Occasionally, Ayden would spend the nights in the woods just outside his foster home to avoid the beatings he knew he would get. Spiteful and afraid, he took comfort in the quiet of the forest. He was away from the typical screaming and hate he got from his parents. Due to this, Ayden has gained knowledge on how to survive in the woods.

GRADE:

TEAM ROLE:
Support

RELATIONSHIP WITH GODLY PARENT:
Ayden doesn't really have a relationship with his mother; other than knowing who she is. Spending his life through foster care, one becomes numb to the idea of a permanent parent and Artemis has never truly been there for him. While he strives in every way she would be proud of, Ayden simply doesn't speak to her because he does not want to become dependent on someone who was never there for him.

HOBBIES:
Archery
Writing
Hiking
Piano
Photography

AMBITIONS:
Ayden wants to prove that one does not need their godly parent in their life to be their successor. He doesn't want people to think his unfortunate upbringing through the foster care system hinders him as a demigod.

FEARS:
Abandonment, Death, Being forgotten, Fire

STRENGTHS
Physically, Ayden is as healthy as he can be. He's a good shot when it comes to either guns or bows, as well as being a long distance runner in high school he doesn't exhaust easy. Due to his stubbornness and determined nature, its nearly impossible to get him to give up on something or someone.

WEAKNESSES
Mentally; Ayden is a dam about to crack. Years of emotional baggage has bottled up and he tends to use destructive ways to cope with childhood trauma. If something triggers his trauma, he'll go into a PTSD like episode, which is hard to get under control.

REPUTATION:
He's The Gay Guy of the school, the one who's popular for being anything but heterosexual. Still, he's a bit of an asshole, constantly getting into arguments with others and has made half the people love him and the other hate him.

MISCELLANEOUS:
There have been several rumors going around that Ayden slept with a specific person on the board of education, but he plays ignorant about it.

"Why aren't you at the party, Little one?" The voice startled Layla into dropping her sword. It clattered to the training floor with a sound that echoed loudly. Layla took a breath as she kneeled down and grabbed the blade, her hands were shaking from overwork."Mother, please don't do that," She said softly. "I appreciate your work ethic, Layla, but if you'll burn yourself out if you continue at this rate." Athena told her, her voice echoing in her mind like the sword's clatter did the room. Layla was used to it though, it had been there her entire life, for the longest though, she thought it was her own voice, an inner voice, or a conscious like Jiminy Cricket, but it had turned out to be her mother, a goddess. Layla wasn't sure about how she truly felt about being left with the family that she was left with, considering that bickered like school children, but her home wasn't a bad one, at least not directly related to her, they loved her for all their faults, but still. They're constant bickering nearly killed her and while she never thought about leaving them for fear that she was the only thing keeping from killing each other, knowing that she had another option, a whole world she didn't know about, she didn't really give it a second thought but that presented new challenges, she wasn't the only one, and she had to be the best of her kind. She still wasn't sure about what this truly was about, beyond Godly pride, which it was most definitely, but there was something else at play here, that the Gods weren't telling them, but her mother seemed to care, since she'd been there her whole life, a face in the crowd, a voice in her head, keeping her safe, from a distance. So she couldn't complain too much. Some of these demi-gods had it much worse.

"Mother," Layla said, unafraid of talking to herself since she was alone in the training hall, what with the school at this party. "Why now?" She asked. Athena was characteristically quiet. "You only chose to make your present known to me, but a year ago, is it truly because of the accident or...is there more?"

"There is more." Athena said. "However, the accident proved motivation, for the both of us." She said and Layla nodded. Her mother never lied to her, not once, but that didn't make her feel better. "You wouldn't have shown yourself to me, otherwise, would you have?" She asked and after a long pause, Athena sighed, which was a strange sound in her head. "Suffice it to say, Little One, I was in a place of indecision, now I am not." She said and Layla nodded. "That's how I feel about this party," Layla said not wanting to think about what would have happened had she not been in the accident. And to think she thought that day was the worst of her lief...now she wasn't so sure. Was it bad luck, or providence?. "Why's that?" Athena asked. "We are expected to party like Dionysius, and then proceed to fight one another, and for what? Your favor, but why do you need to do this for your favor, don’t we already have it?"[/olor] Layla said and Athena chuckled. "You have mine, but this is tradition, moreover, there is the 'more' I referred to, and not so many of the Gods appreciate their children like I do." [/i] She said and Layla nodded, she could hear the smile in her voice. "That's not for you to worry about now, Little one, clean yourself up, dress nicely, and enjoy this time you have as normal teenagers." She said and Layla sighed. That was all she was going to get from that conversation. [color=#054357]"Yes, Mother," She said and with that, she did as she was told, and got cleaned up, and dressed in a lovely little black dress, that hugged her Olympian curves. She had no idea what she was doing here to be entirely honest, parties weren't her scene at all, she didn't listen to this type of music, nor did she appreciate the way that strobe lights and fog laid waste to her vision. She smiled as she entered though. She had to be a normal teenager, that's what her mother wanted, for one night that she was not a demi-goddess, fighting for the right to be beside her mother, but a teenager invited to an unsanctioned, unofficial party for school. "What am I doing here?" She asked herself as she skimmed the crowd for a familiar face.
