Name:: Bane
Nickname:: Bane
Gender:: Male
Age:: 5
Status:: Pack Member
Pack:: Gawain
Ranking:: Alpha Male
Personality:: Highly regarded for his level head and personable demeanor, Bane is well liked as a leader. He’s earned the respect of his pack by treating them fairly, and expects loyalty and allegiance in return. Calm and rational, Bane is hard to rattle, and rarely resorts to fighting to solve problems among the pack. His broken family has made him wary of conflict, and he doesn’t tolerate quarreling among the pack, knowing it will weaken them as a whole. He places a high value on teamwork and unification, and is friendly to all willing to pull their weight in the pack. Gawain is an easy pack to join, and Bane an easy wolf to befriend. However, most of Bane’s friendships are only surface deep, for he shares little with his pack. He doesn’t want to worry them, doesn’t want them to resent him the way his brother did. He’s never gotten over the fight between him and Clutch, and those who prod will receive a nasty response.

History:: Bane was the oldest of his litter, born first and, by nature, biggest. His mother favored him for his size, but Clutch soon surpassed him, growing stronger and larger than he, and Bane was no longer the center of attention. His name, Bane, means “curse” or “nuisance”, and was given to him by his brother, who envied Bane in their early puppyhood. As Clutch grew, so did his attitude, and Bane began to notice a change in his brother. Clutch became aggressive, hostile even, and isolated himself from the pack, retaining a sense of solitude. Disgusted with his brother’s behavior, Bane assumed a fatherly role among the pack, avoiding his brother whenever possible. When their father died, Clutch emerged from the shadows, claiming his “rightful” place as Alpha, and Bane, hoping to avoid a fight, allowed his brother to take the position. Unfortunately, not all wolves were as willing to let Clutch become Alpha, and some chose to follow Bane, refusing Clutch as their leader. Bane knew of Clutch’s desire for power, but disregarded it, choosing to remain in the valley. Clutch confronted him several weeks later, and Bane, after trying and failing to reason with his brother, fought him. Wyote divided the land between the two brothers, and Bane moved to the South and East.
