A rebellious Aerialist of Le Cirque d'Ames

0 · 101 views · located in Earth

a character in “Le Cirque d'Ames”, as played by Luv-is-a-Bug

Original Name: Terra Lee Evans

Performance Name: When performing, Terra goes by Ciel, French for “Sky”.

Gender: Chick-a-dee

Age: 19

Circus Act: Aerialist, performs primarily on the trapeze.

Personality: Her parent’s indifference during Terra’s childhood made her quite the rebel, a hothead who defied authority for the hell of it. She still acts out from time to time (old habits die hard), but she's definitely matured since joining up with Le Cirque d’Ames. In Le Cirque, she feels truly a part of something, and she's fiercely protective of her surrogate "family". She’s opened up some, and though guarded and defensive about her past, Terra enjoys joking with the other performers, isolating herself only on occasion. Daring physical feats don’t seem much of a problem for her; it’s her emotions that scare her-- revisiting the past she’s fought so hard to forget.

History: Terra was born in the bustling city of New York to a business tycoon of a father and a high society mother. Her mother was constantly attending fancy social functions, and her father was always half way around the world or holed up in his office, so Terra took entertainment upon herself. Dance class, gymnastics, acting, she did it all. And of all her competitions, performances and plays, her parents never came to one. As Terra’s resentment for her parents grew, she began hanging out with the wrong crowds at school, raising hell and taking part in some unsavory activities. Her parents finally became aware of their daughter’s actions, but instead of discussing them or spending time with their resentful daughter, they locked her in their expensive townhouse, denying her freedom. As is so often the case with misunderstood teens, Terra eventually took matters into her own hands and ran away from home. The original plan was to go to her cousin’s house in upstate New York, but when she happened across the striped tent of Le Cirque d’Ames, she found herself unable to stay away. She wandered in and offered up her talents as a gymnast, conveniently forgetting to mention she was on the run. Vienna, of course, knew from the start, but she played along, offering Terra a home with the other performers. She’s now been in the circus for 2 years.

Crush: No

Boyfriend or girlfriend: No, thank you.

Appearance: Terra takes after her petite mother, who stood a mere 5'7" even in her tallest pair of heels. At 5'2", Terra is among the shorter performers, though she finds her height advantageous when it comes to her performances. Her weight is average for her height, but she appears thin, due in part to vigorous exercise she gets swinging through the air. Upon joining Le Cirque d’Ames, she cropped her long blonde hair to an inch above her shoulders, heavily layering it to give it a feathery appearance. The shape and style soften her angular facial features, but the long bangs of the haircut obscure her pale blue eyes, easily her prettiest feature.

So begins...
