.: ACTIVITY :.

+ I expect everyone to be able to keep the story moving on. Try and at least stay in contact with the board throughout the week. Ideally, with the amount of writers we have we will be able to get a few posts in per day in the story. Obviously, in moments of greater detail we can take as long as necessary to move things along.

+ If you know you are going to be away from your computer for a long period of time, let us know. We can arrange for you to be written into the story as we continue and you can jump in whenever you're able. Just be sure to communicate these things.

+ There is no posting order. If you have something to write, write it. Obviously, give others a chance to continue the story on their own end before moving too quickly, but a second or third quick post while you wait for others is completely acceptable.

.: CONTENT :.

+ We will be writing in a 3rd person narrative. Like in a book. For the most part, we are going to try and avoid short posts. Give them some substance. A few paragraphs at least. The more ground we cover, the faster we can move the story along. If things are moving slow and you want to post a small filler while we wait, feel free.

+ I imagine there will be adult themes, language, and content. Keep it reasonable.

+ Make this story your own. If you have ideas or plans for you character, share them. Together, we need to navigate the course of each chapter of our story. We'll use our "Storyboard" forum to discuss ideas and chart out our path.

+ Don't be afraid to add side-plots, twists, foreshadowing, or any other devices you'd like. Again, if you have ideas or plans for the story, share them. We'll be able to weave together a dynamic and exciting narrative if we all work together to create the world of our story. If we all just write independently, there won't be much cohesiveness.

+ Add some diversity. We can't all be Indiana Jones or Lara Croft. Think of some ways to make your character different. What are their fears? Ambitions? What is their history with the other characters?

+ Although we will all have only one primary character, think of supporting characters to have as well. Perhaps a doctor, a pilot, the guy that gets you your weapons/gadgets. We'll need to populate this story with other secondary people.

+ We will adhere to a certain sense of realism for this story. We may run into other-worldly bizarre things in our pursuits, but the rules of the world remain the same. We are all capable of beings injured, or dying. We are not invincible.
