Introduction
A world full of different races, many different regions to explore as well. Ariasfil' has much to offer, a different sense of roleplay then regular roleplay groups. This Fantasy Roleplay will involve different places, it won't be centered in one area... All characters will have different starting points in different nations, and they might be different races. Some may hate each other, others may already be planning to kill you. This world will be filled with unknown things, what might the thoughts of other players, it is unknown to us. This is a Serious Roleplay group, so serious thinking will be expected. We expect you to treat the character you have like you would act in real life, just don't make your character exactly like you.
Races
Ariasfil' has seven races, three of them being most predominant with great Kingdoms built by those races.
Human- A morally neutral race, neither good nor evil, but susceptible to both. Humans stand from heights of 4 ft to 6 ft, they are the most diverse race and most adaptable to changes in the environment. They are the most numerous, yet the most short lived of all the races. With life spans generally shorter than the other races, Humans strive all the harder to achieve great heights in empire building, exploration, and magical study. Their aggressive and inquisitive nature leads the Human race to become active and influential in the world, with political changes frequent in the lands of the Humans.
Humans are the most adaptable and malleable race of Ariasfil'. Much of their cities and homes built from the resources nearest to the place where they settle, and they tend to congregate around single leaders, with most quite happy to adopt the ways and customs of their neighbors.
Humans are the shortest lived race in all of Ariasfil', the curse of Esses, with most living no longer than 100 years.
Elf- Elves, are the swift footed inhabitants of many different terrains, and many different assorted cultures and sub races. For example, high-elves live in Vinis. Wood-Elves in Farico Forest. Lastly, the Dark-Elven sub race inhabits caves and other underground places as their home, following the example of the Dwarven race. There are also many different cultures of the three main elven sub races.
The elves are the longest lived of all the races; some living well over a thousand years. Although they are the longest lived, they have the least new births despite all the other races as a result of Esses curse, only reliably fertile for the first five centuries of their lives and with female Elves only capable of conceiving ten to fifteen years after their last birth. This makes pregnant female Elves a very rare sight. And it is very unusual for more than two children to be seen together in the land of the elves, as Elves mature more quickly than the shorter lived races, reaching the fullness of puberty in about two decades.
Elves are usually very tall, shortest being 5'10" (178 cm) and tallest reaching 6'5" (196 cm.) on the average scale. Elves can be much taller, but only the Elven gods may decide that. When elves are considered to be adults is the age of 100, they are ready to travel the world without anyone else's protection.
Dwarf- The Dwarves usually create grand underground cities. Dwarves are best known for their honour, love of war and constant acquisition of food and ale. Although quick to anger, Dwarves show compassion and love to their friends and kin. They are notable for being among the shortest of all beings, usually only three to five feet tall.
Dwarves are usually adapted to the underground, though some Dwarves prefer living on top of great mountains. Most Dwarves can mine great ores from the ground, craft the finest of armor, and slay the most horrific monsters. The most important thing to a Dwarf is his honour. That being said, they stick to their word. The Dwarves have a mutual hatred and respect for the Orcs because of their strength and might.
While other races make grand cities and noble families, they make giant holds, honorable clans, and massive underground fortifications.
Dwarves live much longer than Humans. They can live hundreds of years before they finally die out, though not as long as Elves. Most Dwarves, however, tend to die in battle or through mining accidents before they get old. The Dwarves mature in a different way than most other races.
Dwarves have a unique outlook upon the outside world, due in part to their strong adherence to the ways of their gods, more known commonly as Yatins, they believe they help create a balance for all races.
Orcs- The Orcs are the descendants of Raci, native to the former War Nation of Rugir of Aegis. The Common term "Orcs" refers to the natural, strong and honorable descendants of Raci. Legally, however, an Orc can be any citizen that has earned his place among the Orcs of the War Uzg.
No race is more adapted to the harsh deserts and its predators than the muscular Orcs. Masters of combat and wrestling, these seven-foot high goliaths can destroy most prey with their bare hands. To an Orc, the most important thing is the hunt and the protection of his tribe and clan. For that reason, they do not intermix with other races much. They have a mutual hatred and respect for the Dwarves because of their ferocity and strength. However, they heavily disdain other races simply because theyβre not big enough.
Where other races establish cities and build monuments to their predecessors, Orcs establish tribes and build strong clans around the mythic figures of their ancestors. Orcs tend toward nomadic life, but what villages they do choose to establish are usually built from the ruins of other cities, swallowed and spat forth again by the drifting dunes of the desert.
Although Orcs can naturally live longer than Humans, this rarely becomes a point of debate. The oldest Orc to ever live was Capzil of Clan Buasiz, who died in glorious battle on the turning of his two hundredth year. Orcs are just as prolific as Dwarves and Humans, but their children have the shortest period of puberty, sometimes reaching full adulthood in only twelve years. Orcs are also the most likely of their brothers to cull their own, whether purposefully leaving the incapable behind in the desert, or removing the weak through ritual trials. However, the strength of the clan is paramount in an Orc's eyes, and they will defend their young and wise to their very last breath - even if only to provide enough time for the wise to show the young how to best attack after their elder clansmen have fallen.
Gnome- The Gnomes, a constant hum of busy activity pervades the warrens and neighborhoods where gnomes form their close-knit communities. Louder sounds punctuate the hum: a crunch of grinding gears here, a minor explosion there, a yelp of surprise or triumph, and especially bursts of laughter.
Though gnomes love jokes of all kinds, particularly puns and pranks, theyβre just as dedicated to the more serious tasks they undertake. Many gnomes are skilled engineers, alchemists, tinkers, and inventors. Theyβre willing to make mistakes and laugh at themselves in the process of perfecting what they do, taking bold (sometimes foolhardy) risks and dreaming large.
Curious and impulsive, gnomes might take up adventuring as a way to see the world or for the love of exploring. As lovers of gems and other fine items, some gnomes take to adventuring as a quick, if dangerous, path to wealth. Regardless of what spurs them to adventure, gnomes who adopt this way of life eke as much enjoyment out of it as they do out of any other activity they undertake, sometimes to the great annoyance of their adventuring companions.
Gnomes usually believe in the Human Goddess Siphion as she is the Goddess of Inventions. They are either extremly religious, or not religious at all, all gnomes respect each other of course. Gnomes have a horrendous relationship with Orcs and Dwarfs for the very reason of the Esses curse placed on Humans and Elves. Gnomes fought along side the Humans and Elves when the Orvan Alliance was created to kill all elves. The Gnomes might never be able to receive friendship from Orcs or Dwarves.
Goblin- The Goblins, once a race that was enslaved by Orcs to hunt for them. They would treat them horrendously, because they looked like smaller versions of an Orc. One day a group of Goblins escaped from Orc enslavement to enter the Sark Jungle to survive in, they began to build homes within the trees. They developed the same lifestyle as a Wood Elf.
Goblins tend to attack Gnomes when they can, leaving an unstable relationship between the two races. Many things is left unknown about the goblin as it was just released from the captivity of Orcs. They can reproduce at a quick rate, and more goblins are escaping to the Sark Jungle. Orcs are having an unsettling relationship with the Goblins. A siege of Sark Forest may happen soon.
Ilaqari - The First People is what they are called, why? They were the first to step into the lands of Ariasfil', but not the Ariasfil' known today. They stepped foot in Ariasfil' 10,000 years before the Others arrived. They step foot into frozen land, and they survived in Ice Caverns, soon adapting to the temperature. They can walk around naked without getting cold, but they would not like to seem vulgar to the other races.
Ilaqari enjoy claiming land used by humans, because of how advanced humans can be. Of course Ilaqari uses tactics to rid the humans of the lands. Their past homes unfreeze back to a regular temperature. Ilaqari can stay in an area from either 2 years to 2 centuries, if they can prosper properly. They will ensure that the land is sustainable for them. Currently there are two major Ilaqari Nomadic Groups, the Zavi and the Vansi. Both groups are close friends, and could one day claim a kingdom if they joined forces.
Ilaqari live for five centuries, and die off. Every twenty years, their body ages by five years causing them to go through puberty at the age of 40 years. Causing them to be the slowest race to have children, this race has the most children of any race. Causing them to care more for their children, but with more children come more adults to care for them. Each pair of parents can only have one child in their lifetime. So for every two adults their would be a child.
Appearance- Ilaqari tend to be blue since they live in the freezing cold. They never cut of their hair, which causes it to be very long, but they make sure to handle that by braiding the hair. Ilaqari are usually 6 feet to 7 feet tall, and have either a slim build, or a buff build. Their lips are not chapped, compared to popular belief. They look a lot like the people from Avatar, but without the markings and dreadlocks... No cat teeth either.
Personality- Usually either very laid-back, or very stern. They are religious as said before, but respect all other races religions. They do have a fighting minds when enraged, and are willing to do anything to keep their children safe.

Nations/Cities/Keeps
~Just the important cities and keeps will be mentioned~

Human
Alistan- The Golden Nation - The Predominant Human Nation, it's known for it's great bank, which causes this nation to hold strong tides with other nations. It's economy is always stable.
Roin- The Capital of Alistan, comprised of trades and communication. It is it's own thriving city, capable of surviving alone like the nation itself.
Tilid Keep- Where the Varius Bank is kept to ensure safety, an army protects the Bank, to ensure that no one is capable of just walking in, and stealing all of the gold.
Elves
Vinis- One of the Oldest Nations in all of Ariasfil', as this nation is surrounded by a great mountain from behind, and in front to enter is the Farico Forest. This causes all elves to live within the same nation boundary. This is the only nation to not have smaller towns of importance, or to have any military keeps.
Dwarf
Dhalulur- The Nation Carved in the Side, Dhalulur is famous for having all of its cities carved into the sides of mountains. This nation is easily defended from sieges from other nations, as they have defenses on all sides of from all sides in each city they have built, is built next to one another, and they are able to defend from either side of the mountain.
Irineth- Capital of Dhalulur, the City has the most military, than the rest of the cities combined. It has trained dragons to fight for them, uses dwarven explosives to easily take out enemies, has an army of men prepared to attack whenever. This city is the Soldier for the whole nation, it known to other races, if Irineth moves either cower away, or defend your nations.
Drugin Keep- The only known Keep in the Dwarven Kingdom, it is compromised of soldiers who hunt for dragon eggs. Finding them is really rare, that is why the nation decided to create a District that works primarily on that.
Orc
Azuk- The Warrior Nation, it is the only nation to not have a capital, but does have a multitude of outposts and keeps. Which helps protect it from foreign attacks, as all these outpost and keeps are always prepared to move inward to where the main villages and tribes are settled. Azuk is centered in the Grasi Desert, which is known for how vast and barren it is.
Xunag Keep- Home to the fiercest warriors of the Azuk nation, also home to the great Zukri, General and Leader of Azuk. This Keep is military-based to ensure safety is provided. The Keep protects from the main threats, Dwarves, Humans, and Elves.
Gnome
Gnomes generally live alongside humans. So all well-known gnomes live in Alistan.
Ilaqari
Since they are nomadic, they do not name lands. They base them off the god that gifted it to them, so it is almost unknown sometimes what a village might be called.

The Story So Far... Write a Post » as written by 4 authors
Waren was well ahead of Thorgan. "Are you going to at least try and walk faster? The lazier you are, the later we'll get there." She faced forward again, hands on the back of her head. It was actually a good day. They didn't run into any threats yet. Waren would be fully prepared if they did. The tunnel was truly amazing, but sadly wasn't her favorite place to be. She had been through it a few times when she was a child. Her oldest brother would carry her on his shoulders to keep her from falling- which she did a lot of back then.
He grabs his bible, and opens it up. "Just so ye know, Ah be a priest. Ah must sing a hymn to travel with, Kudar will guide us out a here." Thorgan clears his throat loudly "Kudar, guide us! Let me sing my hymn in your honour! Down through the valley
From black night's carnage
The dawn is lighted
By legends calling
Of golden armor
The axe of honor
Waking the? mettle
In every heart" Thorgan continues uses humming the tune.
She walked faster, not enjoying the dim light inside the tunnel. It would be a while until they made it out. She quickened her pace even more so when natural light sparkled at the end. Oh how she wanted to be out of there. Once the two made it to Roin, she'd part ways with him. But she couldn't be too sure. Hopefully he wouldn't follow her to her destination and ruin her arrival. Waren was really looking forward to seeing Toris after so long. He was the one of the few people who Waren really bonded with growing up.
Sybil, however, Waren disliked. That girl was a sad example of a proper worker. She was Lazy and was rarely ever on time. Neither did she even take her job seriously. But she was cheap enough that her father was willing to pay her for her help.
"I doubt ye want to hear this from meh, but why did you even accept my offer? I can tell it ain't for de money. What do ye really want?" He arches his brow, thinking of an explanation for why himself. He remembers he is still carrying his book, and places it back to where it once was. He looks at her hair once more, and he grimaces at the unusual color of her hair. He then continues thinking of his son Thorin. "The day will come when I surpass you father, and you will then claim the great title of our Czar. You truly are the wisest man in these lands. Thank you for what you have done for me, my great father." An excerpt from a note Thorin wrote to his father. He looks down.
Waren felt a little unnerved when they got closer to the exit. The extreme desire to be out of there burned inside her with every step closer. Waren glanced at Thorgan a second time and noticed he was looking at her hair again, the same weird expression on his face."What are you looking at, git?"
"Let me show you..." Thorgan suddenly begins to run at them, as the bandits take out there daggers. Thorgan laughs, and drops his warhammer on the ground. He cracks his knuckles, and jumps in to punch him in the face. The first bandit falls down, and begins to scream in pain. The other bandit begins to run off, and Thorgan grabs his warhammer on his back. "Ye the one who wanted to play!" He throws the warhammer at the back of the bandit's back, and a loud crack is heard.
"Time to travel down that Human road a yurs." Thorgan laughs at he looks at the bodies on the ground.
As she walked, Waren started thinking again. About her brothers and Toris. The people who mattered most to her. Also, she was a bit nervous. Waren didn't know how they'd react if she just showed up out of the blue. She had been gone two and a half years and made no contact with them at all. Not even a messenger pigeon or a letter sent by horseback. But all throughout her time away, they never left her thoughts. But she was unaware that as she thought, she began talking to herself quietly. "What will they do... What if they've forgotten about the promise I made.." She began stressing, and she shook her head. Waren kept a calm look on her face, but it was also aparent that she was anxious. It was a way she had never felt before.

He continues looking at the sign that reads Mortem Road, and begins to laugh loudly. "That be the road to the Orcs, quite the strong folk. Ah remember fightin' them back in the daeh, they be one of the strongest people Ah ever met. Ah be wonderin' what they be up to... Quite amazin' people indeed." Thorgan begins to turn to what reads Life Road, and shakes his head. "If Ah ever brought me armeh down there, ye humans be gone by now. It be amazin' how ye still live. Ye do have the help of dem gnomes I heard." Thorgan shakes his head,"Wait, have Ah been talkin' out loud? Shit... I have." Thorgan stops shaking his head. "Ah be, Ah never be talkin' out loud. Ye caught me!" Thorgan laughs hard, and turns to Waren.
"Child, we best be goin' before them bandits come to take ye. Ah ain't feel like savin' you again. Ye hardleh did anythin' last time..." Thorgan stares down Life Road, and starts laughing when he looks at all the people walking down the road. "Time for dem humans to see a dwarf for the first time. Ah doubt any dwarf ever be here..." Thorgan begins to walk, "Ye coming?"
It was something she hated. Being doubted.
"Lets go. We have to be fast, and we'll be there this evening if we have no interruptions." Her heart pounded uncomfortably against her chest. But as determined as she was, she wasn't going to stop any time soon. The anxiousness began to well up faster. She usually got this way when she was away. People who she hasn't seen for a while might not be the same as they were before. Waren was rather strange sometimes. "Why did you want to go to Roin in the first place? It's nothing special."

Thorgan grabs the warhammer on his back, and looks up at one of the bandits. Thorgan smiles lightly, and places his warhammer on the foot of the bandit. He begins to scream a few seconds afterward.
"Quite a reaction, you be very slow!" He begins to laugh, and then sighs heavily, "Wheh didn't ye move when Ah was right underneath ye?" He grabs his smaller warhammer, and smacks it hardly on his knee-cap, a loud crack is heard. "That musta hurt, mmm, quite a hefty toll ye must pay. Yer toll be yer life." Thorgan picks up the warhammer on his foot, and smacks it right into the other kneecap. The other bandits watch in complete horror, looking at their leader get beat by what looks like a midget. The Bandit falls face first, and Thorgan steps on his head. "Who thinks Ah should crush his head?" Everyone remains quiet, and Thorgan laughs loudly. "Everyone? So be it, Ah will do it." The other bandits begin to run at him, and Thorgan smiles. "Waren! Ye gonna fight, or it be just me?
A third one darted at her, stabbing at her. Waren's expression was flat and emotionless as she dodged the hits, walking backwards. When the enemy brought his hand to strike, Waren slashed his arm upwards with her left dagger. Her right one embedded itself in his neck, again there was blood spraying and sticking to her. Three down. Waren noticed two bandits had disappeared from the group all together. Suddenly, a sharp sensation made itself apparent as her cheek was grazed from the side. Her blood began mixing with the blood of the bandits. One of them slid to a halt a fair distance behind her, a knife in hand. He turned to look back at her, and she looked at him. Both of them waiting for the other to make a move.
Both were still, watching each other. Smart... He was waiting for her to strike. He seemed to have a special plan just for her. There was nothing he would do, so Waren turned very quickly, running at him with full power. But as she gained on him, his knife dug into her hard leather shoulder pad, becoming stuck. He couldn't dig it in any further, and Waren spun, knocking him to his feet and before he could move she had positioned the point of one of her daggers, nearly touching his forehead. He was still, looking her straight in the eyes. Waren's throat began closing up. She wasn't sure what was happening to her, but as it tightened, she found it harder and harder to breathe.
'It's fine... I can hold my breath.' Her thoughts again, were going to be lies to herself. She felt as if her throat closed up completely. Waren choked on her own saliva, beginning to shake. Eventually she stumbled to the side and fell to her knees, dropping her daggers. She began choking and gagging, unable to breathe. When she gasped, all she did was choke. If this bandit wanted to hill her, he could at any moment, given her current state.
A sudden feeling surged through Thorgan, and he turns around to find what looks like a Priest of Lucian the God of Light. "Bloody hell! What ye doing here!? Ah was going to talk to ye when we got to Roin...
The Priest looks him dead in the eye, and sudden staff of light appears in his left-hand. Thorgan yells out, "What the hell are ye doing! Calm down!" The priest begins to laugh as if he were a lunatic, he then says three words. "Light is gone..." A sudden burst of light is seen, and the priest disappears. "The one man capable of scaring meh... Michael Lupin." He looks back down to see the bandit gone, and Waren still choking.
Thorgan walks over to Waren and chuckles. "Ah could kill ye right now, and no one would care. Ah could leave ye to die, and no one would care. You are just a human to me, a disgusting creature that betrays to get to the top. That is why we dwarves hate ye humans. Thorgan places his warhammer back to it's rightful spot, and continues looking at Waren. "Waren... Waren. I don't think the Great Kurath care if I leave ye here. The Human Gods betray him, and he ain't like them pesky humans. I think I will leave ye to die, you useless wench."
Thorgan looks up at the sky, and then begins to smile. "Ye lungs be collapsing by now. Ye gonna die, unless ye learn how to survive this horrendous choking." Thorgan picks her up, and places her body on his shoudler. He begins to walk, and laughs loudly. "Who wants them a good ol' brothel girl! I just joking! She be dying! I need me one yer magic healers!" No one listens to Thorgan at all. He just continues walking.
She was fully aware now that dwarves were prideful, and that they'll push others around and expect to be respected. There was no reason to argue with him. That was witchcraft the bandit pulled on her, she felt. And nothing can battle with witchcraft, but more witchcraft. She felt the corner of her mouth turn up slightly and then fall again. She suspected that even Thorgan couldn't battle witchcraft. "You dwarves are no different if you think of it. Expecting others to respect you without giving them a reason to. I however, don't care for respect." She walked past, barely managing to push his hurtful words out of her mind. "I feel that you don't need my help to get to Roin in the first place, and that you just wanted to go there with me trailing behind you as if I were a pathetic little human, being pushed around by a big strong dwarf."
She wasn't going to let him do that to her. There was no way Waren was going to be tossed around by a dwarf. And honestly, thinking highly of herself made her feel powerful. Even if in the back of her mind, she knew she was anything but. After a few more moments she lagged behind him. "I bid you good travels and finding Roin." She turned onto a smaller trail leading away from Life Road. It was the one she knew to lead her home. After two years... She'd be home.

"It's useless hiding in plain site! Show yourself!" Michael Lupin suddenly appears, the Light Priest from before. He looks at Thorgan, and shakes his head. "He has used his dark imprints to make a copy of me, Thorgan. You saw it, right?"Thorgan nods, and then begins to speak, "We must gather all noble priests of the land of Ariasfil'. Ah can handle Orcs and Goblins. Ye handle the rest of them... Who the fuck is it?"
Michael turns around, "Not sure who it could be... It must be one of Sagris' Minions. He is not capable of imprinting magic, he would easily kill himself." Thorgan nods, and continues walking on. "Ye King wants to talk to meh, so if Ah die, get me son to help ye." Michael begins to laugh, "You know you can kill all of his guards with just one of your warhammers. I will see you, Czar Thorgan." A sudden burst of light is seen, and Michael disappears as the last version did. "Ah fuckin' hate when ye call me that Michael! Fuck ye!"

Waren Leola
