a character in “Legend of the Dragon - 1st Encounter”, as played by Jimmeh1993

This image fits well, the style of hammer is correct, but it would be a one handed version. More on equipment below.

Race: Human
Age: 31
Gender: Male
Class: Primalist (custom class, all will be detailed). A Primalist is much like a defensive sort of Battlemage who uses the primal forces of Earth and Lightning to become an effective front line and protect his allies. Calling on the power of the ground beneath his feet, the Primalist can use stone to become a steady defense. Calling upon the energy of the sky above him, the Primalist summons lightning to empower attacks and drive his enemies back. A Primalist can strengthen his resolve through the steadfastness of Earth, making him able to fight longer, but exhausting him more when his strength to control the elements is diminished. In battle, you'll mostly see the Primalist summoning barriers of rock to slow or knock back approaching enemies, while using lightning powered blows to drive back those who get past his earthen defense. Primalists use their power mostly to defend the others around them. The class is of course limited by the fact nobody could just endlessly use magic, and that its melee without magic would not be on par with the physical warrior type fighter. Once a Primalist has used up its strength, they are simply unable to be very useful in combat.

As a bender of primal forces, Gadriehn has dedicated himself to being as much like the elements as possible. He keeps his resolve as tough as the earth he walks upon and calls upon. He strives to be quick like lightning. This applies to much more than just a fight. Gadriehn doesn't like to waste time with trivialities, and because of his tough nature..he is in many ways disconnected to the emotions others may express around him. One could not phase him with a sad story. It is not to say that Gadriehn feels no compassion for those unable to fend for themselves or deal with the struggles of life..but rather that he himself will not feel the pain as he strives to help those around him.

In accord with his abilities to defend his friends, Gadriehn is a very protective sort. He may not show emotion through normal means, but in a battle he will prove his friendship and he will to keep his friends alive. Gadriehn would rather expend himself into an oblivion than watch a close friend die because he failed to protect them. Anyone who dies around Gadriehn becomes his personal responsibility, and he carries the guilt of many whom he simply could not defend. This over zealous nature in dangerous in that Gadriehn could use up his strength too early by overextending himself in battle. The guilt he carries is something he uses to strengthen himself in order to prevent more deaths, but it drives him to do things that no self-preserving individual should do.

Gadrien's weapon of choice is a steel warhammer that he wields in his left hand. Strapped over his shoulder and resting on his back, the decorated instrument of death sits ready to be drawn and used to pummel an enemy aside. Not wanting to be weaponless, Gadriehn also keeps a medium length broadsword on his right hip. Rarely used, the sword is a safeguard against an enemy able to break Gadriehn's grip of the hammer. This sword is also made of steel and is decorated with gold trimmings just like the hammer.

In his right hand, Gadriehn wields a round shield made of the same material and design as the sword and hammer. Also resting on his back when not needed, the shield offers a firm protection when the power of earth just is not enough to keep an enemy at bay. Gadriehn likes to use the hammer and shield both as weapons, as their blunt force is enough to drop many a foe.

For armor, Gadriehn wears a mix of chainmail and platemail. Plate pieces cover his chest, shins, forearms, and thighs..while chainmail covers the rest of his body. He needs to be mobile in order to effectively defend multiple allies, but also realizes that he would be felled too easily without some plate protection. When travelling, Gadriehn wears a reddish brown hooded cloak to shield him from heat and weather. It is extremely rare that he would actually remove his armor while out of a city.

Gadriehn's history will be decided and told in the roleplay.

So begins...
