Yoko is a rather tall young woman with long brown hair and reddish-brown eyes. Her skin is fair.Clothing: Normally around her home, a bright kimono with flowers on it and shoes. When on the battlefield, she wears a hakama with leather scale armor and boots.
Likes: Tea, sake, cherry blossoms, cherries, mochi
Dislikes: Her people suffering, her bad self, having to use her skills outside of sparring
Weapon: A longbow and a nodachi. For emergencies she also carries a wakizashi.
Skills: Yoko is an excellent fighter with large weapons (her nodachi and her longbow). Her skill with normal katanas and shortswords is rather lacking. Generally you shouldn't get too close too her or she might cut you in half and don't stand in an open field when she has the bow out because if she hits you in the head, you wont just be dead, but that arrow will take your head off. Her major strength is well... her strength.
Weakness: Yoko's ability comes at the cost of being slow on foot.
Personality: Yoko is rather the kind person, at first glance unlikely to be a lord or even a samurai. What kind of samurai would lay in a field of flowers or put a blossom in his hair? Yet is goes sparring and training quite often because her skill is crucial to protecting her people. If she sees enough suffering, she will break, well rather snap, then her bad self comes. Her bad self likes to slice up the enemy and is ruthless. Rather than being fueled by honor, pride or vengeance, her bad self is purely out for self-satisfaction and bloodlust. A desperate yell from a friend often gets her back to her usual self.
Background: Yoko was born to the former lord and his wife. She was one of three children of which the only boy died young. Grown up, her father died in a former battle assisting allies while her mother resides in the castle having lost her grip on reality most of the time. Yokos sister works at an in-town tavern. Yokos sister is five years younger than her and only knows combat basics but care fare for herself against the average man. Yoko assumed control as a samurai lord and treats her people with kindness and respect, only needing to executed criminals twice over the couple years she has reigned. She controls one town and four villages. Her residence is in the village of Shigane.
Legend:
Good legend: The good legend tells of a fair lady born to a proud samurai who won many battles. This fair lady bears great strength but uses it only it defense, always achieving a defensive victory.
Bad legend: The bad legend tells of a demon born from the massacre of an entire nation, raised by a samurai who was ruthless too all but his own people. This demon would go out and kidnap young men to eat them and further her strength with their blood.
There are most bad tales than good tales about her but most of the people who learn to know her find more truth in the good legends.
