0 · 162 views · located in Fort Covevale

a character in “Let Me Love You.”, as played by OverTheRainbow

Full name: Charlotte Louise Ricefield

Nickname(s): Lottie

Gender: Female

Age:[size] (17 and up) 17

Girl 2

Appearance: Charlotte is very tom boy like in the way that she dresses. She does own a few dresses and skirts but much prefers to dress in baggy jeans and hoody than anything else. Charlotte wears a lot of junk jewellery. Pieces that have more sentimental value than actual worth. She also wears a guitar pick around her neck, as she also seems to lose them as soon as she puts them down.

Personality: Charlotte is the type of person who questions things, a lot. She isn't afraid to fight for what she wants and argue the point. However, she isn't spoilt of stuck up like most argumentative teenagers. She fights for what she believes is right, rather than arguing with her parents because they wouldn't let her out for the evening. Despite everything, Charlotte is a good listener, is always willing to be a shoulder to cry over a cup of tea. Charlotte's the sort of person that puts her self out for others, despite the situation that she herself is in.

History: Charlotte has never known anything outside of the small town of Fort Covevale and the four walls of two bed apartment she lives in with her mum and brother. Some would say that they were deprived as family, for Charlotte, this is daily life.
They were once happy, for the first thirteen years of Charlotte's live she lived a proper family. Her father lived with them and supported the household enough for the family to have nice toys, clothes on their backs and three square meals a day. Then Charlotte's mum gave birth to Owen, Charlotte's younger brother. Owen was Diagnosed with a severe case of meningitis which left him wheelchair bound when he was eighteen months old. The family were told that Owen would never walk, eat or speak again and that his cognitive development would be seriously affected. This turned the whole families life upside down. The stress of having a disabled son torn the family apart, the arguments between Charlotte's mother and father were like nothing she had ever heard before. It was a distressing time for Charlotte, she hated hearing her parents fighting like this.
Three months after Owen was diagnosed, her father went to work as normal, nobody thought anything of it. He never came home. After persistent phone calls for what felt like days on end, Charlotte's mother finally got hold of him;
'John, where are you?'
I'm sorry sarah but I just can't do this any more'
The dial tone rang in her mothers ears for a few seconds before a now thirteen year old Charlotte, witnessed her mother break down in tears in front of her. Charlotte ran to her mother, and held her whilst she rocked backwards and forwards. 'it's okay mum, I'm going to help you.' Charlotte vowed.
That's exactly what she did, she helped her mother around the house and with Owen, teaching herself to catering for his needs effectively. She spent most of her time after school caring for Owen and keeping the house in ship shape, which was the reason that she flunked most of her classes. There was one exception, however. Charlotte found that music seemed to give her a sense of release, whether it was dancing to it, singing to it or just listening. She found that as long as there was music involved, she could be transported to another world.
As soon as she was old enough, Charlotte found herself a job at a local supermarket as a check out girl. Not much money, she supposed, but she thought that any money that could help her family out benefit them greatly.
That she has finished school, Charlotte has no desire to go to college. How can she? Her family need her, not only emotionally, but also to support the families income.

Anything Else? Charlotte plays guitar, hence the pick around her neck. Her favourite artist is Ed Sheeran and her favourite band is You Me At Six.

So begins...
