Alauniira

The drider was amused by the display that the dragon-woman had given to her. Why go through such great lengths to prove her heritage, especially when she could have shown her skill on the battlefield as well? At least the drider did not have to hide her form like Aiden had to, something that the other robed figure found somewhat unnerving about her. She had gotten used to this new form long before--in fact, she almost pitied the two-legged creatures walking along the ground as she took to the wall and followed the horned woman around toward another room.

"I'm Aiden... and you are?" the young woman asked after her display was finished. This did bring up an interesting dilemma for the drider--there was no one outside of her cabal who had actually heard her real name before, so the very idea of some outsider asking who she was both intrigued and disgusted her. Perhaps if she could convince this dragon to join her guild, then she could know for sure... There might very well be the possibility of that happening, considering the amount of strength she had bottled inside... It was all dependent on whether or not she could convince her that the people that may be hunting her down deserved to be exterminated...

Before she could answer the question, however, the robed figure cut between the two of them and began to talk to the horned woman, hearing something about herself and the ghostman in the muffled conversation. Curious as she was, she soon came to a large room that seemed very spacious and luxurious, or it would have without all of the logistic equipment set up everywhere. Right away, the robed figure approached what she assumed to be the lord of this castle. He was tall with bright red eyes--

Red eyes. The same as her people. Suddenly she felt paranoid, feeling the need to climb the wall and scuttle up to the ceiling, letting her hair hang straight down toward the floor. With a quick flick of her abdomen, several strands of silk stuck to the ceiling, allowing the drider to lower herself slowly and surely toward the group below her. Again, she would take any additional intimidation factor from this act, but it was mostly to prevent herself from lashing out against the lord already, something that she felt would be an inevitable fate between the both of them.

The robed figure explained to the lord of the castle about the dragon--for some reason, he seemed totally enthralled with the idea of a woman who could breathe fire. On top of that, Aiden had gone off and began to explain her entire life's story to him once again. If she was the last of her kind and she wanted to remain hidden, she was doing an awfully poor job of doing so. The drider shook her head as the silk held her in mid-air.

Eventually, her descent brought her down next to the horned woman. The drider's five eyes were level with the horned woman's, and she turned to take another look at her, hoping to catch her off-guard once more. Despite her tought exterior, this one looked as if she was rather skittish of the drider... something that she might be able to use against her in the future...

Hayato

"Don't get close to him, dear! He'll curse you!"
"Hey, isn't that man...?"
"Yeah, he is."
'Why is he walking on our street? Doesn't he have anywhere else better to walk."
"Why don't he just die already...?"
"Hey, he's looking at us!"

Hatred. A word that holds many power. Be it used on someone else, or on oneself, hatred is an emotion or feeling that every single human possesses. But it is also because of hatred that some are able to motivate themselves towards their goal. A new profound goal or an already existing goal. It had help many people in different ways. It was the people who lost sight of their goal that hatred was misunderstood. Hayato is one of those less people who never lost sight of their goal. He gripped his scabbard tightly. Finally, the day had come. A castle stood in the middle of his view, whilst walking along the streets. The forsaken place was a place where most of his hatred was buried.

But it was also there that he met his soul mate.
"Hayato? What are you doing?"
"Hehe, Hayato. You're not supposed to do it like that."
"Good night, Hayato."
"Hayato..."

[Don't worry, Reena. I'll find the asshole who ordered an assassin to kill you. I'll make sure he felt the same pain you and I went through. I swear it by the name of my ancestors, so wait for me. I'll come to you after I'm done with the business here.] Hayato held the necklace he wore softly. The memories of him and Reena is stored here. This was a necklace that Reena gave him as their first meeting present. For years had he been treasuring it. This time, he came back to the accursed castle which took his happiness and gave him nothing but saddening memories. He came back this time, to settle a score he wasn't able to settle back then.

Hayato brought the flyer he held in his right hand up. "We're taking over the world from the grasps of those bastards who ruled over us for years now. We are asking you to join us on this great plan! Come to the castle and we shall see if you are worthy to help us of our cause." Was what the flyer said. Hayato came here for a reason, and that reason isn't some wild 'taking over the world' plot. It's a personal reason, but he'll see. He might hang out with those idiots who think they can rule the world under their cause. At least they aren't stupid enough to charge headfirst into millions of demons with bare fists and a wide open head.

Moments later, he was already at the door step of the castle gate. There wasn't any guard, assuming that the soldiers inside or the ones who wrote this flyer were confident enough to leave the place unguarded. Though before reaching the spot he stood on, the weird behavior of the weather had slightly confused him. He wondered if a rampant Magi and loose on the grounds. Well, in the end, it returned to normal. "So there is still those kind of people who can't control their emotions entirely, huh?" Hayato sighed. He would have to deal with this bullshit along with trying to hide the reason he's here.

But it won't be all for nothing. Hayato's reason here can beat any kind of situation he will be placed here. If he was able to endure those 2 years of extremely harsh training, he can endure this. No, he had to endure this. If he couldn't endure this, he wouldn't even be trying to find the one responsible for Reena's death, let alone living. Indeed. That was all the reason he needed to live. After that, he wouldn't have a reason anymore. [Well, less time for thinking. I should show my presence now.] With a step and push on the gate, Hayato was inside the castle.

Only to be presented by a pool of blood and death.

[Probably the stupid Magi's doing. But well, a fight on this level is... a bit too much of a welcoming party.] It's not the scene that amused him. It was the way the victims died that tickled his interest. A hole on the left chest, left with nothing but a dark hole, means that whoever killed them, killed them by ripping their hearts out. [Well, at least he isn't as weak as I thought he would be.] Hayato took a few moment to look at the corpses, but ultimately left towards the building. [Let's hope someone comes and greet me. Or I'll have to search for them. Well, maybe not. I could just explore the place to see if anything's changed.] Then again, they probably had already been aware of his invitation to the castle. Now it's just a matter of how would they greet Hayato.

Dasin

Once the necromancer had left her side and scurried over to Yuki, Dasin went to sit the opposite side of her lord, letting the others file in behind them. She had to stop herself from rolling her eyes at Charnel's excitement over the dragon girl. As far as Dasin was concerned although the girl could prove valuable she had thus far only proved how naive and immature she was. Which was odd, considering the girl claimed to be hundred and eighty years old. What had she spent this entire time doing? Telling people she was the last dragon and wondering why she was getting chased? Dasin allowed herself a little smile at her own personal joke.

And then there was the drider, who was currently making a mess of her ceiling. She clicked her tongue in her mouth, almost wanting to order the woman down but pursed her lips instead. She had no intention of causing a power struggle with the woman like the poor attempt that had happened out in the hallway between the arachnid and dragon-girl. If they were allies she would just have to get used to her, but that did not mean for one moment she liked having 'The dark whisper' in her halls. Saying that she didn't like having Charnel around at first either.

Wait, she still didn't like having the Lich around. But he had proved useful a hundred times over. Using some of Yuki's breathing exercises she attempted to calm her mind as the dragon, apparently called 'Aidan' told her life story once more. Opening her eyes she became aware that Allauniira had made her way over to her. She hated how easily the creature could sneak up on her, and damned her own senses, her right hand tightly closing over her scythe for just a moment before releasing it. Minotaurs weren't exactly known for hunting spiders. No less master assassin spiders. Counting her blessings she had managed not to attempt to swing her scythe at the beast she leaned forward to Yuki.

"And the Ghostman" she said pointedly marking the man's existence, who, quite frankly seemed the most sane here. And she dearly hoped he wouldn't turn on his heel and walk away. "Of course, she needs no introduction" she added leaning back and looking at Allauniira. "It would appear we have a celebrity in our mists" she expressed evenly to the woman. "I only know you from names of the shadows thought, Vemon's embrace, I'm afraid I haven't had the pleasure of your name. Mine is Dasin, the man in the black is Charnel and in front of us is Lord Yuki, the ruler of this castle." This introduction was for everyone, but most of all Dasin was anxious to get on with their plans. The two pieces of paper detailing the missions sat in front of Charnel, she motioned to him to send them over to her.

------------------------------------------------------
Yuki

Yuki regarded each of the newcomers in turn with the same small smile and subtle nod. He acknowledged Charnel’s excitement of the dragon but didn’t share the Lich’s enthusiasm. He considered it must be rather lonely being the last of any kind of thing. But it was nice to see the necromancer so happy about something. The drider had taken up residence beside Dasin, he felt an odd sensation looking at the creature, he had a feeling he could beat her and almost wanted to try. Something about the woman wanted to make him cut her in half. His red eyes became a slightly deeper shade of crimson while he passed the concept in his mind , an inward smirk playing across his face. The ghostman looked like a nice sort of fellow altogether, after all Yuki had caught the man looking at his map, he wondered if the man thought it was any good.

Standing up he brushed his dark hair from his face, tucking the strands behind his pointed ear. "I welcome you all to my home" his voice carrying across the room as he felt something, or better someone familiar. "And I welcome you back, Hayato" he said turning his head to the door, his exclaimation loud enough to make it down the hallway to his former ally's ears.

SKURGE:

Skurge was rather excitable today. His latest goal was nearing completion as he sprinted out of woods clearing at an astounding pace, grinning with malice to himself as he ran. It had taken some time to reach Castle Yuki, especially thanks to his lack of navigational skills, and finally figured out where it was, which was in fact a mile or two away from him, thanks to the 'gift' from a bandit on his way through the forest. A pamphlet with a small bit of information of the castle, along with directions. To make matters all the more special, he could pick up the wonderful alluring smell of blood and fresh corpses up ahead, making his grin grow wider in thinking that his decision was well made to join their cause.
"Skurge first kill bandit, now Skurge get new weapons from corpses!", the mutated goblin cackled to himself before adding after a sniff through the air as he closed distance; "Skurge smell the living ones, all funny smells. Skurge smell ghostie-man, which is fine by Skurge, but that not funny smell." He also noted a odd magical fragrance in the recent change of weather, but was frankly uninterested when corpses were involved. Especially if they were 'future corpses'.

He furrowed his hairless brow as he got closer. Although he had no ideas if these scents were of the recruits at Castle Yuki, he knew almost each and every one of them were creatures he wasn't exactly very experienced in fighting, especially one scent which oddly smelled of reptilian sort though had hints of humanoid smells mixed in with a touch of something fiery. He did not enjoy the scent in the slightest. Skurge thought it was rather ominous having to pick up such an unfamiliar scent, despite him not knowing what ominous actually meant, but definitely decided it would fit this situation. Among the mix of scents was also a drider with greats amount of deadly air around them, a minotaur, and a some sort of other dead thing which didn't seem to be around anymore. Skurge reasoned it was a walky-dead thing, or someone was feeling rather peckish.
One particular smell seemed to be overpowering even the aroma from the corpses, something which irritated the murderous mutant, which was of the rare smell of a human, but it seemed, well, odd. As if it was a new kind of human. Skurge hoped it would be the new kind which was more entertaining to kill. His eye narrowed under the sun as he saw a figure coming into view standing among the corpses. "Must be weird-smell human! Wonder if Skurge should kill weird-smell human? Not sure if world-takers want weird-smell human or not.", the goblin babbled to himself as he came closer, his view of the strange human becoming more clear, the scents gaining strength.

Whether the unusual human was an ally of Castle Yuki or not, he seemed to wonder past the wide open castle gates, to which even Skurge thought was a bit of a security hazard, and in turn eventually ran through the gates himself, not bothering to close them behind him, after a quick glance at the corpses with disappointment that none of them carried weaponry he had not 'owned' himself. As well as a bit of a nibble on a dead dog since he could use a bit of a snack.
As he padded along into the castle with a mouthful of dog meat in his maw he called out quite happily at the top of his voice his own introduction to those in Castle Yuki.
"Skurge is in world-takers castle now! Skurge want help kill things for world-takers! Skurge very good at killing, honest! Skurge also called by stupid-peoples "Goblin Blight" and "Weapon Eater" if that help at all! Skurge only asks for dibs on new weapons!" he sniffed the air a little as he looked around in mild interest of the fortress he sauntered into, before wrinkling his nose with a slight look of worry as he picked up the scent of a demon.
"Skurge also want to know if weird-smell human is world-takers friend of if Skurge can make him dead now?" he asked casually, directing a thumb at Hayato in front of him.

AIDEN

Aiden smiled softly as she leaned against the wall. Hopefully her immature stunt's and rambling would get most of these people to dislike her. Knowledge was power and that's why she was telling them, not everything, but enough to hopefully make them think she is faithful. Now she could be as quiet as she wanted, hopefully. Though they may know she can use all elements hopefully with her bloody display they wouldn't make her show them. Sighing Aiden reached into her satchel and pulled out a history textbook written in an ancient dead language. It entertained her.

Hopefully most of these people would think of her as immature, even for her age. Aiden didnt want to get close to anyone, she's tried that before and it hurt. So acting like a rampaging, immature young woman who has no emotion control would help her. Her emotions only interfered with her powers when she was greatly enraged not that little shit show outside. Sure it was lonely but still it was better then being hurt when they all die. Reaching back into her bag Aiden pulled out something that many people havnt seen in ages.

An ipod

The touch screen lite up as she channel a minor electrical current into it charging the battery. For some reason Aiden liked knowing the day, month and year it was. It bugged her not to know. She quickly checked then put it away and continued reading.

Kaito

A scurrying rat woke Kaito from his drifting sleep making him shoot up from the flat, dirty pillow.
"Fuck" he cursed as the rat started nibbling on the remains of his food. Kaito snarled at the rat, swiftly grabbed it and through it across his cell making it fly out of the bar door and splat on the wall. The inner's and blood ran down the wall as it slid to the floor. The sound of the far door opening informed him his 'keeper' was coming back.

"Better bring a mop and a bucket old man" Kaito growled as the Magi stood infront of him observing the mess.
"Next will be you" Kaito threatened and the Magi gulped loudly in fear. Throwing the boy's tray of food on the floor the Magi hurriedly walked back out leaving Kaito alone once again.

"Damn Prick" Kaito mumbled before reaching for the food. He kicked the other tray towards a stack that just kept increasing. The motion stirred up the rancid smell of himself and the cell and Kaito groaned before covering his sensitive nose with his sleeve.

When was he going to get out of here?

Alauniira

The drider noticed the horned woman grab for her weapon when she finally sensed her presence behind her. Either this white-haired woman was rather dim-witted or easily spooked, for she seemed rather skittish whenever the spider-woman came near. Perhaps her reputation preceded her after all--easier to keep those people in line then, she felt. Besides, if this horned woman was as strong as her petite frame betrayed, then it would be all the better to have a bit of muscle to distract her prey as she killed them from behind... or above...

"Of course, she needs no introduction..." the horned woman kept her voice even, a sign that the drider interpreted to be an uneasy facade. "It appears we have a celebrity in our midst. I only know you from names of the shadows, though... Venom's embrace... I'm afraid I haven't had the pleasure of your name. Mine is Dasin, the man in the black is Charnel, and in front of us is Lord Yuki, the ruler of this castle."

Of course she knew who Lord Yuki was--what good would a network of personal spies be if she did not keep herself informed with the goings-on of politics? How would she receive word of people requiring her service? She knew he was a demon lord, and she also knew that he was staring at her intently with those crimson eyes. She had not seen eyes that red since her days in the drow capital... Perhaps he was contemplating trying to cut her down? That stare was not one of benevolence, she knew--she had seen it many times before, and she knew that there was something brewing in his mind. If only she could get to him alone...

"I welcome you all to my home..." Yuki's demeanor suddenly shifted to one of welcoming. "And I welcome you back too, Hayato."

Who was this Hayato character? This one had not been introduced with the others, she remembered... Perhaps a straggler? The drider narrowed her eyes as two more figures walked into the room--one a man, the other a goblin half his partner's height. In his mouth he carried some sort of meat in his mouth before announcing his presence as "Skurge". The drider assumed that the other figure would be the aforementioned Hayato, but what was their relationship to one another, he and Yuki?

Taking a quick look around the room, the drider caught sight of Dasin, the horned woman who had also asked for her name. This was why she preferred to use her cabal to coming out in person when she was forced to deal with clients in some way--it perpetuated the mystique and the danger of her identity. She cursed inwardly at this slight misstep on her part, although all could be salvaged still...

Lowering herself down further, the drider touched two spidery legs down onto the floor, followed by another pair and another until all eight were now holding her upright. She cared little for the webbing now hanging from the ceiling--a demon lord should have little care for such things when he not only had more important things to worry about but also had servants that might be able to clean up these sorts of things anyway. The drider skittered toward Dasin, staying behind her and leaning in close enough to whisper into her ear.

"You think yourself worthy of knowing my name?" she murmured to the horned woman, a rising sense of malice in her voice. "The only ones who know my name are either in my service... or I leave them out in the wastelands as empty husks to rot in the heat... You are neither."

With a quick flick of her spinnerets skyward, the drider shot another strand of web toward the ceiling, hoisting herself up and looking straight down at the group from above. While they might not be the most easily intimidated group she had come across--by the divines, there was a dragon!--she felt that it might be in her best interest to find at least one person in this group that she did not truly despise, one person that she did not want to kill...

...but that was becoming more and more difficult by the minute.

Kor

"Fah! We get it! Everyone's strong! Ancestor's bones, can we all stop swinging our dicks around?" The words burst out of Kor's mouth before he could stop them. Five minutes in and half the group were squabbling like children. "Twenty eight years of age and I feel like the ancient in the room" he thought. He placed himself firmly underneath the spider-woman on the ceiling, crossed his arms and glared up at her. "Miss Unworthy-of-my-Name. Here's mine for free. Kor Secret-Fire. Big bloody deal. Now, you want to do something useful or do you want to pick a fight with Baby Dragon over there? And you!" he whirled to the dragon girl. "We get that you can fart lightening. Now act your age."

He sighed and composed himself. "My lady, my lords" he directed towards the three in charge. "Forgive my outburst and I thank you for your introduction. As I said, my name is Kor." he gave a quick bow and continued "If you really mean to do as you say, then my talents are yours. Now shall we please continue?"

One more glare at the squabbling pair.

"Without further interruption?"

Charnel

Charnel sighed in annoyance. "Perhaps we can determine who shall join us in a different way, rather then have everyone explain who they are, we simply do the jobs that have been given to us. I say we split off into two groups. I say Yuki shall take Dasin, Aiden, and this Skurge fellow to assist the village, while I shall take Venom's embrace, Hayato, and the Ghostman to take out the magi. I believe that Aiden should be able to handle the goblin's easily, while Venom's Embrace should be able to sneak us in, where we should be able handle a magi." Personally, he felt that there was just so many people entering at once, but he guessed that couldn't be helped. He hoped that his plan would be accepted. A single magi should be easy for him if he was backed up, and Aiden's true form should be terrifying enough to scare off the goblins for a while.

While he spoke, he was annoyed by Venom's Embrace, who seemed to be enjoying herself as she put webs all over the ceiling and whispering in Dasin's ear. What really surprised Charnel, well, not really, he didn't care much, was that Hayato returned. He never truly got to know the man while he remained, Charnel was far too busy in other matters, but he was under the impression that he was looking for revenge against someone. He wasn't sure exactly who it was, or who died, but he dimly remembered that she was a cripple. Meanwhile, the goblin, Skurge, was somewhat bizarre. Something was... Familiar about it. He decided to think about it later, when he wasn't trying to figure out a plan of action.

SKURGE:

Skurge seemed somewhat disinterested at the driders words to the minotaur woman, it was all pointless chatter about not knowing someones name, nothing of any interest to him, though Kor's comments from his outburst on the other hand, made the diminutive mutant chortle nastily until he finished most of his exchange.
"Skurge like ghostie-man, he is funny about other world-takers. Skurge thinks names are nothing special anyways, they just easier than calling spider-lady, a spider-lady. Wait, Skurge not wave his manhood around, you would definitely notice if Skurge's manhood was present for all to see!", he babbled cheerfully then laughed dirtily at his last comment.

Something then clicked with Skurge, causing him to go on an unprovoked rant;
"Wait, then lizard-smell girl is a dragon? It doesn't make sense! Dragon-girl does not have great scaly wings, great scaly head, or well great scaly anything! Dragon-girl too little to be a dragon too, dragons are the size of this castle! Well, Skurge think so, but they are definitely big! Not like tiny-ass 'dragon' here."
He then proceed to scamper over to the 'young' woman, sniffing around her in suspicion, as if he was a hunting hound discovering a rather promising looking burrow.

The goblin then frowned in disappointment when he heard Charnel announced that Hayato would be assisting with taking out a magi, meaning that he would not have the satisfaction of maiming a odd breed of human, until the rest of the sentence finally registered inside.
"So skeleton-in-a-dress, wants Skurge to kill goblins for a village Skurge doesn't even know?" he asked quizzically, "Including helpless goblin children and women? For world-taker that Skurge barely met?"
He pondered for a few moments before giving an ominous laugh and adding; "Sounds like Skurge will be happy working with world-takers with an offer so soon! Skurge get first pick of weapons though, or else Skurge get first pick of stabbing person who try to take weapon."

AIDEN

Aiden looked up from her book as the Ghostman started babbling. Good thats one person that doesnt like her, but she wasnt liking his attitude. Suppressing the urge to growl at Kora she listened to Charnel and his plan. The Goblins caught her attention for once long ago there were known as treasure holder's to the dragons. She had plan to make a trip to the East bound clan, for their high activity, hopping to find something of use to her.

"Excuse me Lord Charnel but if i may ask which clan of Goblins are we going to? I know there is a big clan in the East but i dont know if they have been causing trouble or is it just a small rogue clan" Aiden asked stoically her bright gold eyes not leaving the bone man. Then she turned to Kora, her expression-less feature's not giving away her dislike of his comment. She had nothing against the man, the one comment just annoyed her. The un-named spider woman seemed to be having a pissing contest with everyone included Aiden and it didnt help the matter that Aiden had contributed. She silently scolded herself.

"And sir Kora i do not fart lightning nor do i have a prick to fling around" a smile twitched at her plump lips. Sure it was annoying but it was a pretty funny comment, then she turned back to Charnel hoping he or Yuki would be able to answer her. Then Skurge said something about her being to small to be a dragon and she gave him a soft smile.

"Well i can change into a big scaly beast i just havn't yet" Aiden informed him. She did have big wings, tapped to her back.

Dasin

Dasin was on the border of shouting herself. They were never going to get anywhere at this rate and was thankful for the ghostman, Kor as he was known. Having to suppress her own chuckle. "Fart lightning" ah classic she thought to herself. She gave a quick nod to Hayato in recognition, having never really interacted with the boy on a personal level before. She had enjoyed a few conversations with Renna before... no use dwelling on the past she thought. Furthermore she couldn't have agreed more with Charnel. Magi weren't really her style and this way she got to keep an eye on Yuki.

Skurge while seemingly simple was also the most straightforward, and sorely needed. She'd happily give the little goblin the run of the weapons if his bloosthristy nature he showed in the war room was translated to a battlefield. He should be easy to direct in a nice destructive manner. Yes, the goblin mission would do nicely. Reaching over the table to grab the Hob Goblin mission and explain it, Dasin's hand hesitated, for a brief second her hand and mind wavered.

"Well, I'd be happier going with the Magi" she said, enthusiastically taking the directions for the missive in her hand. After all why wouldn't she go for the Magi, it's what she'd always wanted to do anyway. The Hob Goblins, she reasoned, would just demand pure power and maybe an immunity to T.N.T, nothing Yuki, Aiden, Charnel and Skurge couldn't handle. After all, a Magi's haul would be much more interesting, plus it was she who had taken the message from the Water Magi, surely he'd like her to go. She blinked, almost a bit confused with her thoughts for just a moment, as if something didn't seem right, something was wrong. No she concluded simply, she was standing in a room with a giant spider, a one-of-a-kind dragon, a goblin, a ghostman, a demon lord, an old guardsman and a necromancer; how was anything supposed to feel right?

"Shall I go through both on these then?" she asked of Yuki, her mind made up firmly on the Magi, yes the Magi, he was the one she needed to go see.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Yuki

He was thoroughly entertained, and it had been a long time since he had had such fun he mused, a huge grin on his face. Everyone seemed useful in their own right, if not full of confidence and a little headstrong they would be very sorely needed if he was to take over the whole world. While things hadn't gone as swimmingly as he had hoped, it was at least going in the right direction.

He looked over at Charnel, very happily taking over the Goblin mission. The creatures had always given him great amusement and he had felt the need to kill something lately. He trotted over the Skurge with some throwing stars in hand, his intention to gift them to the small goblin. The hair on the back of his neck seemed to raise slightly, something dark seemed to pass through the room- if only for a brief moment, so quick and fast and just hardly noticeable even to someone as sensitive to magic as a demon lord. He looked around quickly but nothing seemed to have changed. Maybe his imagination. Shrugging he held out the the throwing stars to Skurge, hoping to see exactly what the Goblin would do with them.

Hayato

"And I welcome you back, Hayato"

A familiar rang beside his ears. Yuki Tantalis, the king of this castle and a demon lord. His strength was something to be reckoned with, and Hayato instinctively believed that no matter how hard he tried, Hayato could never defeat this man here. Well, not that he had a reason to. Frankly, he doesn't even have any personal feelings towards anyone here. All he knows is to keep his calm and to focus on his one goal; revenge. Nothing must interrupt him in his quest. Even if it means fighting against Dasin, Yuki and Charnel, he would still try. That's how strong his hatred is. Not to mention that this wretched place was the place where she died.

Not long after they entered the room, Hayato could already sense a few question marks as to whether why he was here and who was he. He paid those questions no heed. Spotting an empty seat at the corner of the room, Hayato paced his way to it and sat down, crossing his arms and legs. He closed his eyes and awaited further orders. The noises and arguments of the room was annoying, but he had to keep it to himself. Joining the tension will just put him into an awkward position. Well, two years of secluded training had resulted to his social shyness to come back. Hayato only wished for this "conference" to end fast, and when he heard Charnel proposing a plan, he knew things were going to end fast. [It's a good thing I came here late. Now I don't have to stay and listen to all this crap.]

I believe that Aiden should be able to handle the goblin's easily, while Venom's Embrace should be able to sneak us in, where we should be able handle a magi."

Things seem to have more or less calmed down after the hooded man's proposal. Hayato didn't know the others but Charnel, but he didn't mind it. He just needed to finish this job quickly and come back here, continuing his search for the killer. He remembered then that the Skurge fellow had tried to propose a challenge to kill him. Hayato was also curious; who can he take on? He know that Dasin and Yuki are out of the question, he might win against Charnel if he wasn't dead already, and the others, he doesn't know nor does he want to. Asking for fights is just gonna take up more of his time trying to find his killer.

Alauniira

Everyone started to throw "concern" at the drider--how dare she think herself better than the others! How dare she withhold her name from them! She just smirked as she hung from the ceiling; they would never know the things that the head of an assassins' guild had to do to protect her mystique, and yet they thought of it as insolence? The ghostman--Kor, he had called himself "for free"--seemed rather irritated at the rate things were progressing now. While the drider did actually agree with him, she remaining dangling ominously from the ceiling, watching and waiting for something to happen next.

The others that resided in the castle, especially the demon lord himself, seemed interested and surprised by the return of this Hayato fellow. While this was an unexpected turn of events, it seemed enough of a distraction at this time. She would have to keep an eye on this fellow, see why in fact he was so important in the group's eyes.

The necromancer, Charnel, began to speak up, if only to silence the rest of the room. There were two missions that needed to be accomplished--one involving the slaughter of an entire goblin tribe, the other involve some water magi. Of course, the dragon and the bloodthirsty goblin would be dragged along to the goblin stronghold; they were the ones that could easily do the most damage in an area, along with the demon lord and the horned woman as back-up. The drider, on the other hand, was to continue with the lich, the bitter ghostman, and this Hayato character to visit the magi and see what exactly was wrong.

...not that she thought it made any difference. If she was going to help in the rule of this new world, she needed allies... Magi were always interesting allies, but she was in the killing business...

Dasin, on the other hand, did not seem to want to needlessly slaughter throngs of goblins. She seemed more interested in the magi. At this point, the drider did not care who she was going to be stuck with--the others she accompanied would think her annoying and immature at best and hate her at worst. It did not matter at all to her; as long as the job was completed and she was compensated accordingly--perhaps by the demon lord himself, if fortune smiled on her--she would do the job assign to her.

As Yuki made his way over toward the goblin to present him with a gift, the drider noticed him looking around, double-checking the area around him. Was something amiss after all? She smirked inwardly at the thought of a demon lord being afraid of something, of anything at all. If they were as fearsome as the stories claimed, why care?

In the middle of her pondering, the drider felt a small ping inside her mind. She closed her eyes and lowered herself to the ground once more before wordlessly scurrying off through the main hall once again and out into the open. If the others wished to follow her, that was all well and good; however, they would have a more difficult time than she attempting to scale the wall to meet with the one who requested a contact.

Quick as could be, the drider scaled the wall and found herself atop Castle Yuki. There stood inside one of the guard towers a male drow clad in blackened armor, white hair struggling to fly out from underneath a dark hood, red eyes closing for a brief moment before bowing his head in a respectful manner.

"Rise, Ra'ditzz," the drider commanded. The drow did as he was told, opening his eyes and staring up at the spider-woman. "What news do you have?"

"Lord Varkas of the Wastes has received your message," Ra'ditzz explained in a level voice. "His paranoia is getting the better of him now, and he has deployed troops to the south of his castle to find anyone that may know of such treachery in his walls."

The drider smirked. "Good. Varkas was always a jumpy one..." She brushed the hair out of her eyes, all five focusing solely on her drow agent. "What of the north? Any news from them?"

"They are doing as you ask, Mistress," Ra'ditzz replied. "Two agents were able to infiltrate the major assassin's guild to the north and slaughter their leader in cold blood. The organization hit a rough patch when they were unable to elect a leader from potential candidates, and reports tell me that their self-destruction is imminent."

The drider nodded, finding it harder to supress the grin that threatened to break out across her face. "Things seem to be going according to plan, then..."

Ra'ditzz looked back up at the drider, the same stoic look across his face. "Mistress, I think you should reconsider this venture of yours with these people. Exposing yourself to this many people feels like a trap."

The drider sighed and closed her eyes. "Ra'ditzz, I appreciate your concern; however, if this opportunity plays itself out as I imagine, well... the reward truly outweighs the risk. Besides, only a fool would think they could go toe-to-toe with the Dark Whisper... even if that fool is a dragon..." Her voice suddenly grew cold and spiteful.

"Mistress, take these blades--they are enchanted and will help protect you in the event that your abilities fail you." Ra'ditzz handed the drider two daggers that seemed to eat the light around the two of them.

Even with the backhanded remark, the drider accepted the gifts and placed them on her person. "May you move with the silence of shadows," she nodded and bowed her head toward her agent.

"And may your mark burn with the fury of venom, Mistress." Ra'ditzz bowed his head before turning toward the other side of the castle and running across the roof before climbing down the back wall. The drider smirked at the thought of Ra'ditzz trying to play the role of protector--while his ability as an assassin were nothing to sneeze at, his logistical manipulation and his network of spies was a more integral part of her operation. With the blades now in her possession, she felt that now even she could take any one of them in that castle.

She climbed over the side of the castle toward the gate once again, crawling quickly down the side. Ra'ditzz had been right, after all--she was making herself all-too-visible. If this venture paid off like she thought it might, though, then it could potentially make her one of the most powerful creatures in the world.

"Time to wait for the stragglers, I suppose..." the drider muttered to herself as she made herself comfortable in the front hall of the castle. All she had to do now was wait--good things came to those who were patient, after all.

SKURGE:

As Skurge listened to Aria's answer, also noting in his head the name of Kor, he merely blinked in somewhat greater confusion to her simple short explanation, his forehead wrinkling in effort to process the information he was just told. His entire face then contorted in immense concentration to reply with the conclusion; "Skurge don't get it, but okay then dragon-girl.", giving a nonchalant shrug.

The goblin then quickly diverted his attention in surprise as the demon held out a number of throwing stars towards him. He eyed them in suspicion at first, staring down the strange weapon that was new to his eyes, before warily lifting one up to his face, and then proceeding to bite a big chunk of it, leaving a small triangular fragment of metal in his hand, which he then also flicked into his maw. As continued to chew the metal star with constantly crunching noise with each bite until he swallowed his latest snack. He grinned in excited glee as he stared at his right arm, as if a miracle would occur soon, until he then changed his expression to bafflement, and then to frustration.

"Silly demon-man! These metal-stars are throwing weapons aren't they? Skurge can't use throwing weapons properly! Metal-stars won't work with Skurge's belly right! No throwing weapons for Skurge anymore! Skurge will show why Skurge don't need them!", the vertically-challenged maniac ranted, then grabbing the stars from Yuki's hand and tossing one into the castle floor. He suddenly then stared at his right forearm and hand which suddenly bulged with purple veins before inexplicably mutating into a hammer of bone, to which he followed up with smashing the grounded throwing star with said hammer, with a smug grin. He then reverted his arm to normal and looked around for approval at his new companions, though his eyes narrowed in suspicion when he saw Alauniira scuttle back into the hall. Especially with a faint smell of some type of elf around her.

AIDEN

A shiver traveled down Aiden's back for a moment, something irking at her senses but then just disappeared.
How strange.....
She watched as the spider woman left, Yuki giving Skurge the throuwing stars and the woman then coming back. Something was off about her scent but Aiden payed no mind as she rummaged through her satchel. She didnt know what these Goblins possessed with them so just in case Aiden took out an enchanted bracelet she had found on her journey's. The bracelet acts as a god luck charm in a way, it makes Aiden feel safe even if all it does is lessen her scent.

"Excuse me my Lord but dont you think we should get going now?" Aiden asked politely, eager to start.

Dasin

She gazed at Skurge in some amusement. She certainly hadn't thought the little goblin would have had that little trick up his sleeve. But it was very interesting. Stepping over to Charnel, Dasin picked up the other missive by the necromancer. "I'll start now Aidan, it's important to understand what we all will be doing" she explained briefly, understanding the young dragon's impatience as she felt the same herself.

"I'll start with the villager's request, we received word from the village nearby, no doubt some of you may have passed through. They sent a messenger up to the castle to request our help. The messenger explained that they had a Hob Goblin problem near the town."She cleared her throat and continued. "Now often Hob Goblins wouldn't be an issue for the village, there are many capable fighters to defend the town, however they are uneasy about the presence of this particular clan. They detailed that they felt the Goblins were stronger somehow, a little smarter and had been able to use increasing amounts of magic. Dasin paused, goblins using magic was usually unheard of, one generally had to have some sort of control for the magic to be any good or of notice, occasionally one curious goblin might pick up a magic staff and cause havoc happily for a few days- point stick, fire happens seemed to be a rare gift for the race- until it was put down. But the messenger had been quite certain that one or two of the creatures were using magic themselves.

"We've been asked to go take a look. In return the village will provide us we a few young fighters, access to trading and a pre-warning runner if trouble seems to be coming our way. It would be imperative we complete this job, not having to worry about the village as enemies and having done them a good favor will only help us in the long run. Now as we all know, Hob Goblins are a tricky sort, they tend to stick in big groups, and for all their stupidity are excellent at making three things; traps, tunnels and explosives. You'll go to the village and get more information there." Dasin placed down the scrap of paper. The goblin mission would certainly take a great deal of observation and stamina. The little bastards seemed to have a abundance of each other and like nothing better than catching live prey in which to torture for fun or eat, mostly both. It was strange how the creatures had become such a threat, certainly numbers were always worrying, but intelligent magic using goblins? It was a terrifying thought. Dasin noted that the possibility that the goblins had been interfered with in some way to be very great, much like she suspected Skurge had been; after all, a magic transforming arm was generally not evolved.

Putting aside her thoughts, she maintained her current clarification "The second has been given to us by a Water Magi this morning. Something of high value was stolen from him by another Magi. He details that any measure of use can be exploited to retrieve this item. He doesn't explain much in the message but he has agreed to meet with us and explain further should we accept. He says he can get us into the Magi's place of residence without being detected but cannot help from there since he would be using all his magical prowess just to do so. In return the Water magi explains we can take anything we deem of value from the tower and he would join our cause. The lack of detail about the thief himself and what exactly had been stolen was a little unnerving for Dasin but the benefits way outweighed the risks, and it was time they started taking risks.

I suggest that Aidan travels with Yuki to the village, the both of you should be more than enough for the Hob's but we'll send two more with you for back up. I'll attend to the Magi, I think the Lady Drider would be most useful but we shall need two others. Any questions? she concluded.

((Okay guys, head to the OOC and discuss what missions you want, I'll be starting these up tomorrow, hopefully sooner if everyone gets on, if you can't decide I'll put you into groups.))

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Yuki

The thoughts of dodging the Hob's homemade and throw-able explosives seemed to tickle the Demon Lord's fancy. As did their current goblin guest. Skurge greatly charmed Yuki into liking him almost immediately. "Hm, if you come with me I'll make sure Skurge gets good weapons to have in his belly" he regaled to the miniature beast grinning at him like a child who had just gotten away with something naughty.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
The Magi- Frenus Tot

He grumbled as he looked at the door in front of him, the demon on the other side was certainly insolent. But he wouldn't be for long, oh no. It was nearing the end of the day and then there would only be two days left until his master took the boy and he would receive his reward. He giggles at the thought, there would be no stopping Tot in 48 hours time. And after all, what could go wrong in that small amount of time?

Frenus looked down at the bucket of water in his hand, he had been told to look after the little demon and throwing a bucket of water over Kaito seemed like a generour thing to do. The smell had been getting to the Magi. Grinning to himself he opened the lock and stepped inside.

Kaito

Kaito's head popped up at the sound of the door opening and in seconds he was soaked from head to toe. Kaito growled loudly shooting up from his spot on the floor and jerking his body forwards, the chains tightening around him. The sound of concrete and brick cracking was a loud echo and Kaito's eye's burned a blazing bright red. He was enraged at the disrespect this commoner was giving him and wished he was off these chains so he could rip the Magi's head clean off his shoulder's. When the wall didnt give away Kaito growled in frustration and glared at the Magi.

"When i get out of here i'm coming for you" he snarled, his demonic energy seemed to coat the room, making the Magi shiver in fear. That sight made Kaito grin evilly.

The Magi- Frenus Tot

He had a moment of pure glee when tossing the water over the boy which was quickly followed by pure fear when there was a moment that he thought the wall may give way under the demon's fury. Throwing down the bucket the Magi shivered, relieved that he wouldn't have to try and recapture the boy.

"Tch, you think you know it all don't you?" he sneered "You'll know true fear when my master comes to collect you in two days time". Frenus gave one last glance at the cage and stormed quickly out of the room, it was only a few hours til morning, and while he doubted he would sleep with the adrenaline still coursing threw his veins he must a least try.

-------------------------------------------------------

Dasin

Dasin's eyes slid over to the night sky, they would only have a few hours until dawn and they would all need to be refreshed for their journeys. "We all have a tough day tomorrow, I suggest we get some rest, we can figure out who goes where in the morning, for now Hayato, Charnel, the Lady Drider and I shall prepare for the Magi's request. I'll ask him to meet us outside when first light breaks. Yuki, you get ready to take Kor, Skurge and Aidan with you. Her hand when up to her head, a dull throb in he mind was forming. She felt as if she had used all her energy and certainly needed the rest.

You'll find quarters in the tower to the left, keep walking down the hallway you'll find a red door to your right. There are plenty unused rooms you can use for rest. The tower to the left of the hallway, with the green door is out of bounds, as are my quarters which are right beside that. The tower across the garden is also out of bounds, it belongs to Charnel. We shall meet outside the front gate when day begins. she concluded, taking up her scythe that had been resting on the table and heading to her room without another word. The days events seemed to have gotten to her and Dasin was extremely tired. Reaching her own room she softly closed the door behind her. The room had at first been a shambles when they had first arrived at the fortress, the transformation had been marked. Where windows had been missing now stood patterned glass, the cracked floor covered now in wood. Her sleeping pallet had only two years ago become a bed- a gift from a skilled woodman they had saved out in the forest. Smiling to herself she let herself fall onto the feathery covering of the bed and closed her eyes. Sleep came easily, something that would have surprised her if she had been able to recognize the fact. And for the first time in a long time, Dasin Frost slept without dreams.

----------------------------------------------------------
Yuki

Yuki nodded along with Dasin's suggestion to get some rest. She hadn't mentioned anything about Hayato though, it was unlike her to forget something like that, she must have been exhausted. "Hayato, you may take your old room if you'd like. It hasn't been touched since you left" he explained to his old solider. Standing up he gave and glancing smile to, Skurge, Kor and Aidan. "I shall see you all in the morning" he said cheerfully making his own way to his tower.

Hayato

"Hayato, you may take your old room if you'd like. It hasn't been touched since you left"

Perfect. Now Hayato doesn't have to sleep in a room where everything is make-do. And if he was right, there was some book Hayato wanted to check. Hayato stood back up, nodding to the young demon lord. The young demon lord left rather cheerfully as he exited the room, probably heading back to his tower. Hayato was the second to left the room, where he then turned to a left, towards a staircase. Upon further walking, passing by multiple doors and a couple of hallway, he reach a rather large door, with a word that Hayato hasn't heard in the longest time.

The royal library. Back when he was still here, after achieving the rank of royal guard, he was given access to this place. Although he never cared back then, the library was full of information he needed now. But the chances of him finding what he was looking for was but one in a million. [I guess I have to take the risk. Better something than nothing.]

A creak, followed by a footstep, Hayato was back in here. He only came in here once to return a book Reena had borrowed, so he never really paid any attention to the library. But now that he had closer look at the library, the amount of books seemingly never ending. Shelves and shelves of different books are stored here. Secrets and myths, history and recordings of the world lies deep asleep in here, awaiting for the next reader to reveal their secrets. But now, even the once great library was abandoned. Dust and spiderwebs takes up the empty space and as if no light had showered this room.

Hayato proceeds to light the candles around the room, while checking one by one of the title of many books. Already a few hours passed by without him knowing and he had only search a quarter of the room. Hayato decides to call it a day and marks a X on the last shelf he had checked and exited the room, closing the small opening he had created. Using those same steps he used to take walking back to his room, he had thoughts on how he would continue to search this castle and perhaps on tomorrow's job.

[Taking out a water magi, huh?] Looking out the window of his old room, the brilliant moon shone inside the light. The room wasn't lit by anything but the moon, but it already looked bright enough as it is. As he turned around, different memories had been in this same room he slept in. Reena's constant visit was something he had always looked forward to, and for one moment, he thought that the same girl was at his door. [Yeah right. No way she would be here now... She was killed off just like that.] Unwanted memories starts to surface, but Hayato managed to dismiss it.

[There is no way I'm about to give up now.] He slowly laid himself down on his bed. The soft texture of the bed and pillow surrounded him, as slowly, sleep invited him in. "Reena, please wait for me. I'll make sure to finish what I promise... Please wait..." As he said to himself, a fleeting moment of Reena's gentle and warm smile comforted him. It was as if to tell him to relax. That feeling was like lullaby, as a moment later, Hayato had been sound asleep.

Alauniira

The drider watched as everyone seemed rather suspicious of her when she returned to the hall--she did not care. Her kind was reviled and thought to be nothing but murderers and thieves anyway, so that sort of reaction did not faze her at all. She spied the dragon-woman playing with some sort of jewelry in a bag, but for the most part it seemed almost as if everyone was about ready to give up for the night.

The horned woman, however, thought it necessary to go over the details of two missions that were apparently of the utmost importance. The first involved the culling of a horde of goblins that seemingly developed the ability to use magic. While the villagers were rather terrified by the idea of magic-wielding goblins, the drider was sure that even she might be able to take them all on if given the chance. It would take a rather long time to sneak up on them all and kill them one by one, but she would definitely be able to get the drop on them before they noticed what was going on--

The second mission, however, was one that involved things that she was much better suited for--infiltration. Some mage had some important object stolen from him, as they were known for. If they did not want anything stolen from them, then they shouldn't be hiding like hermits away from the world enraptured in their studies and their little secrets. They and their artifacts were rather valuable, especially as high-profile targets--rival magi, jealous of someone else's research and their collection of trinkets, occasionally sought out assassins to deal with one another.

"I suggest that Aidan travels with Yuki to the village, the both of you should be more than enough for the Hob's but we'll send two more with you for back up." The horned woman turned back toward the others in the group. "I'll attend to the Magi. I think the Lady Drider would be most useful, but we shall need two others. Any questions?"

Other than the fact that Dasin had assumed that she would be automatically joined at the hip with her--well, hip-to-abdomen--she had no questions that needed to be answered at this particular time. Her mind was already thinking about how to approach this situation, though. So many possibilities, but the lack of detail was rather annoying. At least the daggers she had received from Ra'ditzz would be of use almost immediately--either the magi would be intrigued by such weaponry or she would have the opportunity to slaughter them if they did anything suspicious.

After this, Dasin instructed everyone to get some sleep. Perhaps the others might need some, but the darkness was where the drider thrived. Still, it had been a rather long journey, and it might be pertinent that she get some rest too--or perhaps a bit of food, that was always nice. Perhaps as a kindness, she would leave the guards of this castle untouched... for now...

As Yuki turned away from the group after bidding them a good evening, the drider followed the others as they made their way toward the living quarters. When she was sure that she could get away, however, she skittered back toward the main hall and down toward the demon lord's quarters. She caught him almost as he was rounding the corners every single time, and she was sure that he could sense her presence behind her despite her silent footfalls--demonic magic seemed all-too-powerful at times for her; then again, he was a demon...

Either way, she would wait until she knew the two of them would be alone to ask the questions on her mind--why exactly would a demon lord go against the nature of the world around him and try to impose a sense of order onto a world of chaos? How could a volatile creature such as him want to try and go against his own nature? This was a rather intriguing concept for the drider; hopefully he would be willing to answer in case she had the chance to ask... If not, at least he might be able to point the way to a nearby village where the sudden death of a random civilian could feed her for the night.

SKURGE:

It was easy to tell which missions Skurge preferred. The obvious look of murderous glee at the prospect of murdering a band of his own kin seemed to make the little goblin ecstatic, crossing his finger sin hope, which grew all the more when Yuki promised him some new weaponry to which he almost began leaping up and down in delight. He turned towards the demon to give him an eager grin with a glint of bloodthirst in his eye, babbling energetically in reply; "Skurge is happy to hear that, oh yes Skurge is! Demon-man made a wise choice to give Skurge weapons, easier to kill poor ba****ds and b***hes and brats! With cutting and slicing, and maiming and crushing and smashing, and breaking and deacpi-, um decape-, er dicapi-, chopping heads off."

Before he could take up Yuki's offer however, Dasin decided to announce her decision on the groupings for the mission, and during noting the mentioned names of his new 'allies', it was to Skurge's liking. Not that he had any particular preference who he was paired with, but the fact the favoured mission had him among it's roster, to which the goblin cackled cheerfully before adding; "Skurge will make many dead of his kin! The corpses Skurge makes will make it difficult for world-takers to move around in!", already day-dreaming the glorious slaughter, as a number of the current company began leaving to catch their rest for tomorrow, including Yuki much to Skurge's chagrin as he quickly snapped out of his dreaming as he bid them good night. He then proceeded to pulling a middle finger at his new employer behind his back and grumbled under his breath as he wandered away, making a mental note to remind the demon lord to give him some form of weaponry before the mission.

As he wondered off to the unused quarters, Skurge thought to himself on his new companions. Or more specifically, the weaponry he was certain he could eat they had and which ones he could kill. In all honesty, he had near no idea how powerful or skilled any of them were, leaving little to go by, but thought the minotaur woman, the lady drider, and Hayato the odd human were a good start as any. So he started thinking about weapons over opponents, adding to his annoyance that he was unable to imagine a battle between themselves. There was unfortunately a number of the team members which he had no idea if they were out of the question or not of stealing weaponry from, not because it would cause strife, but because he was uncertain if they were enchanted. Skurge had wonderfully useful nose, it strangely could tell if something had magic on it as magic had a distinct smell to him, but a number of scents seemed to be blocked out by Aiden who was covered in enchanted gear, and Charnel, who reeked of the stuff, as well as death of course. Weaponry which he took an interest in were Kor's scimitar, Dasin's scythe, and possibly Yuki's katana and Hayato's bizarre combination weapon, though he had no idea if any or all were enchanted. Skurge merely shrugged to himself as he wondered into an empty room before leaping onto the surprisingly comfortable bed and murmuring to himself before he dozed off; "Skurge will kill ugly-idiots eventually anyways.""

Kor

"The goblins huh?" Kor thought as he followed the little feral imp up to the quarters. The Magi might have been more up his alley, but Kor was a soldier after all. Fighting was his trade. Finding an unused room, Kor began his preparations for the next day. With fluid grace he unsheathed his scimitar and began a weaving patterned dance. At first he moved at a snails pace, cutting, slashing, slicing through the air. Slowly, slowly he sped up, until he was whirling around the room in a flash of steel and skin. The dance stopped abruptly with the scimitar thrust through the heart of an imaginary foe.

Having toweled off the considerable amount of sweat he had worked up, Kor began started the second part of his nightly ritual. With a critical eye he went over his blade with oil and a whetstone, leaving it sharp and gleaming. Every night he worked his body so, and what was the blade but an extension of his arm? It would not do for one to fail the other. Finally he inspected his bow, stringing and testing it to ensure it was still supple. A crack in the wood now, even a tiny fracture could spell disaster during a fight. Eventually satisfied, he un-strung it, put the waxed strings in a pouch and went to his bed.

Lying down he closed his eyes and waited for sleep to take him. When it didn't, he, remembering who he was sharing the castle with and, with a bit of effort, pulled a wardrobe in front of the door, forming a study barricade. A dagger went under his pillow. Only then was sleep forthcoming.
