Introduction
A soldier signs up for a military pen pal type program where someone at home sends letters, packages etc. The girl talks to this character like she knows him, gives him news updates and sends all his favorite things. They become close and she seems to think they’re falling in love. He gets leave in 2 weeks and doesn’t have much to go home too. She sends a plane ticket in the mail, will he take it?

"Okay." He agreed slightly stressed out about the idea. He didn;t want Sammie to be running around chasing kids while she was pregnant. "But I want you to know that you don't have to." He said taking a deep breath and resigning himself to the idea. "And will you please consider only working part time?" He asked looking into her eyes. "For me."
Cole wasn't sure the life he wanted was the life Sammie wanted but he didn't care about anything serious right now. They were only dating and he couldn't ask Sammie to give up so much for that. He dropped it and decided he'd let her do whatever she wanted.

Sammie could tell that Cole was stressed out and she rolled over a little closer to him and kissed him softly. "I will only work a few days a week, two or three at the most and I promise if things become too much with the pregnancy and working then I will quit" She said as she kissed him again trying to get him to at least smile about the idea. Sammie wanted Cole to be alright with this. Yes it was her life, but the life that was now inside her stomach was just as much his as it was hers. She would never dream of doing anything that would hurt their child and she was taking this seriously. Sammie would also do anything for Cole if it really meant that much to him, yet he needed to listen to her too.

She didn't want to upset Cole and she needed to know how she felt about it all first since at the moment she was very confused. Maybe when the baby came she would be more than happy to spend every day at home with the child, but that was something time would only tell.

As she kissed him Cole let the corners of his mouth form into a small smile and leaned down kissing her back. "Alright. Then I guess it's okay." He said wrapping his arms around her a bit tighter as she moved in closer. "I just want you to know that I care about you and I am here for you. You don't have to work. I can take care of things Sammie." He said as he curled up with her.
He closed his eyes softly as he talked, "Did your mom work? You know while your dad was stationed and what not?" He asked her, then paused to wait for her answer. "And speaking of your mom.. I think we should have her for a visit soon." He said unsure how Sammie would react.

Yet they had seemed to work that out well, both of them compromising since if Sammie had her way then she would have been working five days a week. It really made Sammie believe that they would be able to raise a child together if all of their decission making went that way. She cuddled up with him as he spoke about taking care of thingss. "I know you can" Sammie whispered to him, kissing his neck softly as she relaxed and her eyes closed.

After all he did take her daughter away from her and brought her into a life that could essentially hurt her. He had no intentions of doing that and swore that he would do everything in his power to take care of Sammie and their child and he wanted to be able to reassure her mother of that.
"If she really wants I can get her a hotel room, though it's not too close to base for one." He said wanting her to be comfortable. "I can't imagine how she'll feel being on base. Maybe you can give her the option." He said softly.

Sammie was nervous about her mother meeting Cole. She hadn't been very impressed with him so far and that was even before she knew that Sammie was pregnant. It hadn't been something that Sammie had wanted to talk to her mother about over the phone so she had been waiting for a chance to invite her mother up to meet Cole and she would tell her then. She just really wanted Cole and her mother to get along, since both of them were important in her life. Especially with a baby on it's way.

"Well then sleep silly." He smiled as he rubbed her back softly as she fell asleep. He too slowly drifted off, the day having been long and tiring for him as well, but he found it enjoyable. When he had been deployed he'd never imagine to coming back to something so great. He had just about fallen right into a decent life and he wasn't going to do anything to let that slip away.
The next morning his alarm went off and he groaned slightly waking up and heading for the shower. He got dressed quickly knowing he was running a little late. Sammie looked so peaceful sleeping he let her sleep and left her a note before heading to work for the day. He called her on his lunch break from work and made sure she was alright.

Sammie managed a small laugh but was quickly sound asleep with his hand rubbing her back gently. It was soothing and something that she would never get enough of. Just falling asleep next to him and in his arms was perfect. The next morning Maci didn't even hear the alarm going off and instead slept all the way through until around ten am. It was then that she got up out of bed and was forced to race to the bathroom. Sammie felt extremely sick and soon had her head in the toilet bowl. She had never been that sick before in her life. Clutching her stomach Sammie just headed downstairs to the couch with a blanket and a pillow to curl up for a little while. She spotted the note from Cole as she left the bedroom and smiled.
After a little while and only two more trips to the bathroom to be sick, Sammie decided to call one of the doctors in town which Jenna had suggested to get an appointment. Luckily she was able to get one for tomorrow so she booked it. Now all that was needed was for Cole to be able to go with her. Sammie hoped that he wasn't working or could get the time off.

He asked if she wanted him to bring anything but she denied. He promised he'd be home before she knew it and he couldn't wait to eat the dinner she promised she'd make. "If you don't feel well enough call me and I'll bring something home." He said hanging up quickly as his boss came in and started talking to him.
He finished up the day and headed home, grabbing some flowers on the way. As he walked inside he dropped his things by the door and called out for Sammie as he headed into the kitchen. He found a vase and started to put the flowers in.

Despite Cole saying that it was okay for her not to have to cook dinner if she wasn't feeling well, Sammie was determined to cook him something. She felt like she owed him after everything that he had done and a little morning sickness was not going to stop her from doing that. Sammie had to argue though that it was not morning sickness since it had lasted all day. She felt a little bit better after speaking to Cole on the phone and then went to one of the stores to pick up some things for dinner. Thankfully her stomach behaved for the trip to the shops and a little while later she came home with all of the ingrediants to make them quiche for dinner and chocolate mousse for dessert.

Sammie nodded her head a little when Cole said that he would be there. He would certainly be cutting it close but if he said he was going to be there then he was going to be there. Sammie had no reason not to trust him on this. She managed a small smile as she squeezed his hand across the table. They would just have to wait for tomorrow to see what would happen.

It was amazing how much Sammie's face came alive when Cole said that he loved what she had cooked him. With them not being together for very long, Sammie was still trying to figure out what he liked in terms of food. Also her cooking skills were at times questionable and nowhere near as good as his so she was glad that he liked it. Once he had tried it she also began eating and had to admit it did taste good.

"That sounds great." Cole said as he leaned in kissing her back softly. Cole thought back to the night in the hotel room that they spent together watching the movie and then getting intimate. It brought a small smile to his face but he couldn't help but think how far they'd come in such a short time. It was scary, but Cole wouldn't give it up.

With a grin Sammie went to find some chocolate and then followed Cole where he had gone upstairs. By the time she reached the bedroom he was already stripping off which only caused her to smile further. Sammie paused to watch him get into bed before she to got into her pjs and then set up the movie. Climbing into bed she cuddled up in Cole's arms where she stayed for the duration of the film. He said relaxing more with Sammie. It seemed as though they were finally getting into a rhythm with each other and settling down there on base. He just hoped things went well the next week with her mom visiting.

Sammie lay cuddled up in Cole's arms as she watched the first forty minutes of the movie. It was then that she found herself falling asleep so she turned the tv off and let her eyes close. It was amazing how well she slept when she had Cole's arms around her. The next morning she just groaned softly at the sound of his alarm going of but she didn't move or wake up completely. Instead she curled up and continued to doze.
When she heard the front door close it was almost at the same instant that her stomach twisted and she had to get up and rush to the bathroom. The morning sickness was bad and Sammie spent the next hour in the bathroom and then had to return at least twice while getting dressed and ready. By the time the clock ticked to nine she was completely dressed and ready to go to the doctors but she was also exhausted. All she wanted to do was climb back into bed.
As Cole rushed through the door, Sammie was glad to see him. A huge part of her had been scared that he wouldn't make it in time. "Thats fine, you stink of sweat" Sammie said laughing as he rushed past her. While she waited Sammie headed into the kitchen to have glass of water before they left.
