Introduction
Twelve years ago, in 2455, human kind struck the basis of a discovery that shook the whole foundation of the scientific community: nanotechnology could be harnessed for human use. The way scientists saw it was this: given much time, research and development, these nano machines could be used for a variety of things in the human population. The vision was medical purposes, muscle repair, prosthetic limbs, and even advancing the human body.
Scientists hit a landmark in the progression of the human race, and needed adequate means in which to test the hypothesis. So, a charter was drawn up for a massive space station to be constructed in deep space in which the group of scientists could run their experiments. This space station, the Praetorian Space Station VI, was to accommodate a crew of no more than sixty, providing means of housing and living to all aboard. It was to be finished in 2461, leaving the team sufficient time to operate.

Aboard the Praetorian Space Station VI
Twelve years into the project, and the scientists have made great progress: the nano machines respond well to testing, and the science team seems to have made them adaptable to the human system. It was time to test their theory. . .
[A FEW NOTES]
This roleplay is going to be a collaborative project, as it would seem to be more effective and enjoyable to have those involved give their inputs before we being actually posting. So, it is important to me that we as roleplayers collaborate on things that would make this roleplay more interesting, instead of me forcing a story down your throat and you being forced to jump in. Of course, this being a survival horror roleplay, maybe it is better that you just jump in. However, that becomes problematic to me because I feel the number of competent roleplayers on this site is dwindling, so maybe a few notable collaborators is what I need. So please, feel free to use the OOC SECTION FOR COLLABORATION IDEAS.
Thank you.

Re: [OOC] Leviathan, I
So far, my story revolves around a twelve-years-in-progress nanomachine experiment, called The Leviathan, getting out of hand, to which they infest the ship and the rest goes from there. The characters-to-be-named are trapped on a space station in deep space, which of course the nanomachines have seized control of. Under these circumstances, the crew aboard the Praetorian Space Station VI have to survive and escape the captivity of the nano-controlled space station.
The nanomachines are the means for which this roleplay is a survival horror, as I've said, but exactly WHY or WHAT it is the survivors are dealing with I cannot give away just yet.
Now, if there's any way possible that you can give an input, some idea or thought of interest that would make this more enjoyable for you, feel free to include anything. Even if it has to deal with the enemy.
As for the crew, there has to be a team of scientists of course; biologists, physicists, programmers, systems technicians, etc.
Then the actual ship crew is composed of engineers, mechanics, security forces, cafeteria personnel, sanitary maintenence, medical personnel, and so on.
I hope this gives you a better overview of where I want to take this.

Also, there is one way you could help me that I can think of. If you could get the word out to some people you believe are good roleplayers, and send them here, that would do me a huge favor. If you wouldn't mind, of course.
Thank you.

Re: [OOC] Leviathan, I
1. I don't like to give all the information for my roleplays away, especially when it comes to the genre of survival horror. I like for roleplayers involved to discover what it is that they're dealing with, rather than to already know as I feel it adds a higher level of interest. But do know that the nano machines are what produces the means for this to be a survival horror.
2. Positive things the nano machines were originally designed for were mostly medical, such as destroying harmful viruses the human immune system cannot, as well as replace/restore lost tissue or limbs even. They can also be used to just enhance a person's overall internal system (heightened senses/reflexes). During it's corrupted phase, it gives the host incredible strength, speed and intelligence all at the cost of morality and compassion.
3. Yes, this is going to be an advanced/literate roleplay. I am using this collaborative process to not only make this roleplay more enjoyable for those involved, but to weed out those I, or other roleplayers, deem unsuitable for the roleplay.
I hope that answers your questions, and you are indeed free to ask any more that you would like.
Re: [OOC] Leviathan, I
1. What classifies this as a survival horror? Is it because there was a lab accident and the station is dying? The nanobots change the test subjects?
2. If the nanobots are a positive force and there is something else causing the problems, what positive things does the nanosystem do for the host?
3. Is this going to be an advanced/literate roleplay?
[OOC] Leviathan, I
"Leviathan, I" is a science fiction survival horror roleplay, set on the Praetorian Space Station VI.
The story centers around a group of scientists who are developing a new strain of nanotechnology, known simply as the Leviathan, for human use.
I plan on this roleplay to be very story-driven, and it is also a collaborative project, so feel free to put in an idea that you may have for the advancement of this roleplay.
Please review the introduction and I hope you take interest.
Thank you.
